It has been the 485th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

Russian troops carried out a missile and air strike on the territory of Ukraine, using 14 cruise missiles Kh-101/X-555, 3 Shahed-136/131 drones, as well as 4 guided anti-aircraft missiles from the S-300 system targeting Zaporizhzhia. The Air Defense Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 14 missiles and 2 drones using their air defense capabilities. Additionally, a russian attack helicopter Ka-52 was destroyed by an anti-aircraft missile unit of the Air Defense Forces. Furthermore, the russian army lost 7 reconnaissance UAVs.

Russian soldiers also conducted 51 aviation strikes and carried out about 50 MLRS attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. Besides the infrastructure destruction, there were civilian casualties.

Ukraine is still under the threat of missile and air strikes.

The russian army continues to concentrate its main efforts towards Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mariinka, where heavy fighting is ongoing. 27 military clashes took place.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, the operational situation remains unchanged. There are no significant signs of offensive groupings being formed. Combat training and coordination of units of the russian armed forces continue on the training grounds in the territory of belarus before their deployment to the areas of hostilities in Ukraine.

The russian army maintains a military presence in the border areas with Ukraine towards Siversk and Sloboda. They conducted airstrikes in Pavlivka, Sumy oblast, Hatysha and Pletenivka, Kharkiv oblast. It also carried out mortar and artillery shelling on populated areas such as Karpovychi, Chernihiv oblast, Seredyna-Buda, Shalyhine, Popivka, Atynske, Iskryskivshchyna, Volfyne, Pavlivka, Obody, Kyndrativka, Sumy oblast, as well as Hur’yiv Kozachok, Udy, Veterynarne, Kozacha Lopan, Strilecha, Oliynykove, Neskuchne, Ohirtseve, Hatysche, Volchansk, Nesterne, Pletenivka, Budarky, Zemlyanky, Ozerne, Vilkhuvatka, Chuhunivka, Topoli, Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Kupiansk, russian troops carried out unsuccessful offensive actions towards Synkivka, Kharkiv oblast. Russian artillery and mortar shelling targeted Krasne Pershe, Fiholivka, Dvorichna, Zakhidne, Kupiansk, Masyutivka, Kyslivka, Berestove, Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Lyman, the russian army conducted unsuccessful offensive actions towards Bilohorivka.They conducted aviation strikes in the areas of Nevske, Luhansk oblast and Bilohorivka and Siverska, Donetsk oblast. Nevske, Bilohorivka, Luhansk oblast, and Torske, Serebrianka, Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, Rozdolivka, Donetsk oblast were subjected to artillery shelling.

Towards Bakhmut, russian troops conducted aviation strikes in the areas of Khromove, Ivanivske, and Pervomaiske, Donetsk oblast. Vasiukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Ozarianivka, Pivdenne, and New York, Donetsk oblast were affected by russian artillery shelling.

Towards Avdiivka, russian troops carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas of Severne and Avdiivka, Donetsk oblast. They conducted aviation strikes in the areas of Novokalynove, Ocheretine, Nevelske, Avdiivka, and Severne,Donetsk oblast. Artillery shelling targeted the areas of Berdychiv, Avdiivka, Tonenke, Karlivka, and Nevelske, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Marinka, russian soldiers conducted offensive actions towards Marinka in Donetsk oblast but did not succeed. At the same time, they carried out artillery shelling in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Mariinka, and Heorhiivka, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Shakhtarsk, the russian army conducted unsuccessful offensive actions towards Novomykhailivka, Donetsk oblast. It conducted aviation strikes in the areas of Oleksiivka and Blahodatne, Donetsk oblast. They also shelled populated areas such as Paraskevivka, Novomykhailivka, and Blahodatne, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Zaporizhzhia and Kherson, the russian army continues to conduct defensive actions, focusing its main efforts on preventing the advancement of Ukrainian troops. They attempted to regain lost positions in the Makarivka area, Donetsk oblast. Russian soldiers carried out aviation strikes in the areas of Zolota Nyva, Storozheve, and Makarivka, Donetsk oblast; Novodanilivka, Levadne, Orihiv, and Stepnohirsk in Zaporizhzhia Oblast; Antonivka, Kherson oblast. Russian troops continue to use the infrastructure of temporarily occupied settlements to provide medical assistance to their wounded servicemen. Russian soldiers have set up a field hospital in the village of Chkalove, Zaporizhzhia oblast, within the territory of a kindergarten. The arrival of two cargo trucks with medical equipment has been documented.

The aviation of the Ukrainian army conducted 10 strikes on the areas where russian personnel are concentrated.

Units of rocket troops and artillery targeted 4 areas of russian personnel and military equipment concentration, 12 artillery units in firing positions, 2 electronic warfare systems, and 1 air defense system.

The Commissioner for Missing Persons under Special Circumstances Oleg Kotenko reported that the bodies of 51 Ukrainian servicemen were returned home. The process takes place in accordance with the norms of the Geneva Convention. 

According to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko, headquarters have been deployed in Ukraine in case of a terrorist attack at the Zaporizhzhia NPP, including energy workers, representatives of the State Emergency Service, the police, and medics. “In the event of an accident, the radioactive background will remain for approximately one day. Within 24 hours we will reduce it by 80%”, Klymenko noted.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, russian troops shelled at least 26 settlements and launched air strikes.

Stepan Maselskyi, head of the Local District Military Administration said that on the territory of the de-occupied Izium region, 17,000 houses and infrastructure facilities were damaged and destroyed as a result of russian shelling.16 secondary education institutions and six kindergartens were completely destroyed.

Referring to the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, two Russian soldiers stole 2 kg of gold jewellery from a jewellery store damaged by shelling and worth over UAH 8 million.

RMA reported that in Pechenihy community, a 73-year-old resident of Artemivka found a Butterfly mine in the forest and picked it up, which detonated. The man was hospitalized with wounds to his face and soft tissues.

Yesterday, russian invaders continued shelling settlements in Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Chuhuiv and Izium regions.

The shelling of Kruhliakivka village, Kupiansk region, damaged at least 3 residential buildings, outbuildings, a shop building, and destroyed agricultural machinery of a farm. As a result of the shelling, a fire broke out over an area of 100 square metres.

In Petropavlivka village, Kupiansk region, a residential building was on fire due to hostile shelling.

In Budarky village, Chuhuiv region, the buildings of a private household were damaged.

A forest fire broke out in Kupiansk as a result of shelling.

There were no casualties during the day.

Mine clearance is ongoing. Yesterday, pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service examined more than 8.6 hectares of territory and defused 112 explosive ordnance.

Donetsk oblast

Ukrainian troops shot down a Russian Ka-52 strike helicopter this morning.

General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the russian army continues to advance towards Lyman, Avdiivka and Marinka.

Serhii Cherevatyi, spokesman of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, confirmed the information of Hanna Maliar, Deputy Minister of Defence, that the Defence Forces had stopped Russian offensive in this area. According to her, the fighting is ongoing near Dibrova and Serebrianka forestry.

The night before, russians launched a missile attack on Cherkasy community, damaging a petrol station building.

Towards Volnovakha, Novoukrainka, Vuhledar community and Neskuchne, Velyka Novosilka community were shelled.

Towards Donetsk, there was shelling of Krasnohorivka, Kostiantynivka and Zoriane of Marinka community. In Kurakhivka community, 22 buildings were damaged in Kurakhivka. In the morning, the enemy attacked Avdiivka with an aerial missile, hitting the area of Avdiivka Coke Plant.

Towards Horlivka, 2 buildings in Toretsk community were damaged: in Toretsk and Pivnichne. Russians dropped a FAB-500 bomb on New-York – it did not explode. In Chasiv Yar community, 2 apartment blocks, 1 private building and 2 non-residential buildings were damaged.

Towards Lysychansk, 2 buildings were damaged in Lyman community: in Torske and Zarichne. Another building was damaged in Siversk.

Pavlo Kyrylenko, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration informed that yesterday Russians injured another civilian in Chasiv Yar.

Luhansk oblast

According to the General Staff, most severe fighting is ongoing near Bilohorivka.

It is also dangerous to be in Nevske, which russians targeted with an air strike. However, the locals are still hesitant about the evacuation. The invaders also shelled the settlement with artillery, just like they did in Dibrova and Bilohorivka. Our military is bravely holding the defense.

Anyone who wants to, is provided with assistance in evacuation, finding accommodation, paperwork and humanitarian aid. When there are injured people, they are immediately hospitalized in safe regions of the country.

Luhansk Regional Military Administration said that in the occupied villages in combat areas, Russians are taking away telephones and not helping the population. In Alchevsk, starting from 1 July, metallurgists will be checked for Russian passports. The settlements are closed for entry and exit. Medical aid is not provided.

Suffering heavy losses, russian terrorists are using Ukrainian citizens as human shields. Thus, a unit of Russian invaders consisting of more than 300 people arrived in the temporarily occupied Kreminna. The invaders are staying in small groups in private households among the locals.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

DTEK reported that the first “smart” power grids in Ukraine are planned to be built in Kyiv oblast. Investments in the project will amount to 145 million euros. The plan for the reconstruction of the region’s energy infrastructure within 10 years includes: 20,000 km of new overhead and underground cables; 250 substations; 6 thousand transformers, installation of almost a million “smart” meters. The new concept of “smart” networks is planned to be tested during a three-year pilot phase in the Irpin-Bucha-Borodyanka energy node, which suffered the most destruction during the occupation in the spring of 2022.

Head of the State Agency for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure, Mustafa Nayem announced that funds from the Community Restoration Fund will primarily be directed to an experimental project to rebuild six settlements most affected by russian aggression. Among these settlements in the Kyiv oblast are Borodyanka and Moschun, Trostyanets, Tsyrkuny, Posad-Pokrovsky and Yahidne are also on the list.

Kyiv oblast has already received 135 people from Kherson oblast who suffered as a result of the flooding of territories due to the explosion of the Kakhovskaya HPP dam. As reported in Kyiv RMA, among the arrivals: 47 elderly people, 24 children and 2 people with disabilities. IDPs are provided with all the necessary assistance and accommodated in modular towns, social hotels, and the private sector.

Residents of Kyiv oblast communities continue to collect and form aid for Kherson oblast. Thanks to coordinated work, another shipment was collected and sent – construction materials, tools and technical means necessary for clearing and restoring the damaged area.

The Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University Military Institute has graduated young lieutenants. The celebrations began with a farewell address to the graduates by President Volodymyr Zelenskyi. In addition, the graduates were welcomed by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov, US Army General Brian Mennes and Major General Vladyslav Klochkov.

In the Kyiv oblast, with the support of the non-profit organization Global Empowerment Mission (GEM) in partnership with the Howard G. Buffett Foundation (HGBF), they started installing windows in damaged houses. As the head of RMA Ruslan Kravchenko reported, in general, the oblast will receive windows worth 1 million dollars from international partners. New windows are planned to be installed in damaged apartments in Bucha region, Irpin city and in a number of educational institutions in Kyiv oblast.

The exhibition “Systemic donation as a cultural norm” dedicated to blood donation was opened in the lobby of the Golden Gate metro station. As reported in the KCSA, the exhibition of 30 winning works of the Artdonation poster competition was organized by the NGO “Blood Agents”.

Zhytomyr oblast

The State Environmental Inspection of Polissia region reported that environmentalists have calculated the amount of damage to the environment caused by the fall of fragments of russian rockets in Zvyagel on June 9. The total amount of damage due to soil pollution amounted to more than UAH 59 million. The amount of damage caused by the emission of polluting substances into the atmospheric air, which occurred due to the fire, amounts to more than 209 thousand hryvnias. Materials on this fact have been handed over to the Zhytomyr Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

Head of Zhytomyr RMA Vitaliy Bunechko announced that the company “Dionis Biogas Energy” implemented a project on the production of electricity and biogas from organic waste in the oblast. It is important that for the production of fuel, the enterprise uses waste from agricultural production and processes the residues left behind by distilleries. In turn, the waste from the biogas plant is organic fertilizer, which is used to restore soil fertility.

Sumy oblast

As a result of russian shelling on June 22, 2022, 4 residential buildings in the village of Pysarivka, 5 private houses and a power line in the Vorozhba community were damaged. In the Shalyhine community, a local resident received a shrapnel wound in the forearm, and a residential building and a water tower were also damaged there by a direct hit.

In total, during the past day, the enemy carried out 21 shellings of the border – 147 explosions were recorded. Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Khotyn, Krasnopillia, Vorozhba, Shalyhine, Myropillia, Nova Sloboda, Esman communities came under shelling.

Sumy RMA reported that the russians launched 3 mortar attacks, 11 strikes were recorded on the territory of the Bilopillia community.

Taras Savchenko, the first deputy head of the Sumy oblast reported that more than 500 applications from the residents of Sumy oblast have been submitted for the restoration of damaged housing under the state program eRenovation. Data on damage to 4,817 objects (buildings, structures, and premises), 4,348 of which are residential (3,243 buildings and 1,105 apartments), have been entered into the Register of Damaged and Destroyed Property by oblast communities.

In Sumy oblast, they plan to involve the unemployed in round-the-clock duty in shelters through the community service program. This will contribute to the payment by the state of the labor of persons who have temporarily lost their jobs, the protection of civil defense facilities, the safety of people and their unimpeded access to shelters.

Chernihiv oblast

Five attacks were recorded in Chernihiv oblast over the past day (as of 08:00 on June 23): 15 explosions of 120 mm caliber mines and 21 explosions from artillery shells. The border towns of Kamianska Sloboda, Senkivka, Yanzhulivka, and Karpovychi came under enemy shelling.

Vyacheslav Chaus, the head of Chernihiv RMA, said that the Regional Office of International Cooperation has started work in the oblast, which will help structure and coordinate interaction with all communities and partners. According to him, it has already been possible to restore a third of the more than 12,000 war-damaged objects in Chernihiv oblast, which was made possible thanks to the help of international and domestic organizations, foundations, partner regions and sister cities in different countries.

Students of Nosivka and Korop communities can now use the services of new digital learning centers opened by the Finnish organization Finn Church Aid as part of the project “Safe return to education in Ukraine” funded by the EU. In the centers, children will be able to engage in creativity, self-education, study according to the programs of the Ministry of Education, attend classes to improve their psycho-emotional state, and spend their leisure time.

Head of the village of Parafiivka Halyna Petrusha reported that the monument to Taras Shevchenko, who was shot by the russian invaders, has been restored in the village of Martynivka. The plaster monument was restored for two months with funding from local deputies.

In the Kherson oblast, Chernihiv chefs are treating residents of the affected region to delicious outdoor dinners. Chernihiv Charitable Foundation “Iskra Dobra” together with Chernihiv chefs Oleg and Igor visit various de-occupied and remote settlements of Kherson oblast to feed people with lunch.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

According to the head of the regional council, Mykola Lukashuk, the Air Force destroyed an enemy Shahed-136 drone over the region at night.  During the day, the russians struck Nikopol with heavy artillery. A local resident was wounded. The man, born in 1956, was examined by doctors and diagnosed with concussion. The shelling damaged 2 private houses, 4 outbuildings, and power lines.

Vinnytsia oblast

Tetiana Bereza and her mother collected  two tonnes of  water for Kherson in the centre of Vinnytsia.

A mural dedicated to Ukrainian soldiers was created in Vinnytsia. Senior Lieutenant Oleksandr Bilik, call sign Topaz, is now depicted on the wall of a Vinnytsia apartment block. The 25-year-old company commander, a soldier of the 28th Mechanised Brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign, was killed near Bakhmut during a tank attack several months ago.

Poltava oblast

Relying on the information provided by the RMA, the Light of Hope Charitable Organisation has delivered aid to 16 medical institutions in Poltava oblast. The humanitarian aid came from the UN World Food Programme.

Cherkasy oblast

According to the Head of the Cherkasy State Administration Ihor Taburets, Cherkasy oblast continues to help Kherson region recover from the consequences of yet another russian act of terror. A team of utility workers and agricultural employees is currently working in the region. They are clearing roads, restoring electricity, and repairing the destroyed buildings.

A military-patriotic camp has opened in Cherkasy oblast. It is a joint project of the chaplaincy service of the 118th Brigade and the Cherkasy branch of the Plast organization. The children learn the basics of tactical medicine, the art of camouflage, and survival in the forest.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Russian military forces have launched strikes on five populated areas in Zaporizhzhia oblast. As a result of the shelling, one person has been killed, and four individuals have been injured. Three residents of Zaporizhzhia were wounded while going from a bus stop to their dachas. Three residential buildings in Vozdvyzhenka were destroyed by russian projectiles, and a 40-year-old man sustained injuries. A 35-year-old local resident was killed in the center of Mala Tokmachka during an artillery strike. Orikhiv was once again targeted with guided aerial bombs, and Preobrazhenka was hit with banned cluster munitions. Private houses and high-rise buildings have been damaged.

During the night, russian military forces attacked the outskirts of the regional center. The strikes occurred in open territory. In the past day, the enemy carried out 98 shelling attacks on 24 populated areas of the region. The russians conducted airstrikes on Orikhiv and Levadne, attacked Stepnohirsk twice with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and launched five strikes on Chervone, Huliaipole, Temyrivka with multiple rocket launchers. Additionally, the enemy carried out 88 artillery strikes on Chervonodniprovka, Huliaipole, Novodarivka, Bilohiria, Pyatykhatky, and other frontline villages. The destruction or damage of 27 civilian objects such as houses, outbuildings, and other property of residents has been recorded. Two people were killed.

According to the information from Zaporizhzhia RMA, today a strong odor appeared in Zaporizhzhia. It is a consequence of the water level decrease in the Dnipro River due to the explosion of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station. The water level in the lower Dnipro is 13.36 meters, which is 1.14 meters below the norm. Since the dam was blown up, the water level has dropped by 3.80 meters. The water level in the cooling pond of the nuclear power plant is normal. The results of monitoring the drinking water quality show no deviations from the normative indicators.

A Regional Office of International Cooperation has been established in the region. Thanks to the presented platform Cities4Cities/United4Ukraine, communities that want to attract investments will appear on an interactive map and begin to attract investors.

A new family shelter for internally displaced persons (IDPs) has opened in Zaporizhzhia. The center provides legal and psychological assistance and organizes language courses. In total, the facility can accommodate 80 people. It includes bedrooms, a dining room, a children’s room, showers, a laundry room, and a shelter. Currently, there are already 13 residents in the facility for displaced people.

Mykolaiv oblast

The RMA reported that at 16:00 on June 22, the enemy fired mortar shells at the water area of the Ochakiv community. No casualties.

This week, internally displaced persons of the Berezan territorial community in Mykolaiv oblast received 6.5 tonnes of wheat flour within the framework of the “United Communities” project, implemented by the All-Ukrainian Association of Communities with the support of the USAID Rural Development Programme. The assistance came from the Bilshivtsi community in Ivano-Frankivsk oblast on the initiative of the village head Vasyl Sanotskyi.

Сommercial losses of farmers for unreceived and unsold crops are estimated at around UAH 20 million.

In Mykolaiv oblast, 4,500 households are cut off from gas due to the war.

Odesa oblast

Rescue teams from the United Kingdom and Ireland visited our country as part of the “Opora” project by the international foundation “Partnership for a Strong Ukraine”. They conducted joint training sessions with Odesa divers, aiming primarily at exchanging experiences and assessing the level of work by the rescuers. This is particularly important as we are currently operating in the conditions of war, and even well-trained professionals from European countries do not have the same experience that exists in Ukraine. The needs of Ukrainian rescuers were also discussed, focusing on the requirements for strengthening their units during ongoing large-scale emergencies caused by the armed aggression of the russian federation.

​​Representatives of the Muslim community in Odesa collected 6.5 tons of food products, household items, clothing, footwear, baby food, and drinking water. All of these items will be delivered to those who have been affected by the tragedy caused by the russian occupiers at the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station. A humanitarian aid truck will soon depart for Kherson oblast.

Kherson oblast

The current average flooding level is 37 centimeters. Three settlements on the right bank are still affected by the flooding, comprising 86 houses. Restoration work and damage assessment are ongoing.

The russian army shelled a transport municipal enterprise in Kherson, resulting in the death of 2 people. Four employees of the enterprise were also injured.

Yesterday, on June 22, the russian occupiers shelled peaceful settlements in Kherson oblast 91 times, firing 415 shells from artillery, mortars, Grad MLRS, aircraft, and drones. The towns of Kozatske and Vesele in Kahovka region were under aerial attack. The controlled bomb explosions caused damage to the factory area and a multi-story building. The enemy fired 26 shells in Kherson, targeting residential quarters and buildings of two plants in the region. As a result of the russian aggression, seven people were injured.

The police recorded 18 war crimes committed by russian occupiers against the civilian population of Kherson oblast. A tractor exploded on an enemy mine in the field near the village of Kalyinivske, Beryslav region. The 48-year-old driver with blast injuries to his hands and legs was taken to the hospital.

The defense forces struck the positions of russian forces on the left bank of Kherson oblast, destroying 63 russian military personnel, 20 units of equipment, and an observation post. This was announced by the head of the United Coordination Press Center of the Defense and Security of the South, Natalia Humeniuk. Our aviation conducted three strikes on personnel and armored vehicles buildups, destroying one observation post.

The russians stole about 400K files from the state archive of Kherson oblast during the occupation of Kherson. After the liberation of the right bank, the building is constantly targeted by shelling. Due to the explosion of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station, Ukraine could have lost documents, evidence, and files of repressed Ukrainians. However, thanks to the efforts of the employees, the archival materials were saved.

Khmelnytska oblast is helping to reconstruct the old landfill in the Dariivka community. A brigade has started reconstruction work on the old landfill in the community to enable people and utility workers to centrally dispose of destroyed property and garbage. Overall, Khmelnytska oblast has provided 90 units of special equipment, including dump trucks, loaders, cranes, graders, and excavators. Additionally, 37 workers, including 9 drivers and 28 cleaners, have arrived.

A new batch of humanitarian aid has arrived in Kherson oblast. Kyiv RMA delivered essential items for the affected people due to the explosion of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station, including inflatable boats, life jackets, rubber boots, generators, inflatable mattresses, bedding, clothing, food, water, and more.

Volyn oblast

In Lutsk City Council, state awards were presented to servicemen who gave their lives in the war against invading russia. They handed orders and medals awarded posthumously to parents, wives and children of the fallen defenders of Ukraine.

Zakarpattia oblast

In Uzhgorod, the Owl’s Nets humanitarian aid center provided aid to IDPs thanks to the Luftfahrt ohne Grenzen / Wings of Help eV, PDUM Partnerschaft Deutschland-Ukraine/Moldova e. V. and Divchata NGO. During the week, the displaced persons received 70 packages with necessary things for children under 2 years old; 100 grocery sets; clothes, bed linen and dishes (a total of 2,2K units were issued). In addition, the Center received over 100 backpacks with school supplies thanks to the Divchata NGO.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The RMA held a meeting with representatives of UNHCR and the Rokada CF. They discussed providing IDPs with social housing.

In Ivano-Frankivsk, a Forum for Assistance to IDPs is underway. Today 41K IDPs are registered in the Ivano-Frankivsk community. Also, 79 enterprises moved to Ivano-Frankivsk.

The RMA reported that military personnel from Ivano-Frankivsk oblast received a DJI Mavic 3T quadcopter worth almost UAH 300K.

Lviv oblast

Residents of Buska community collected funds and purchased a DJI MAVIC 3 FLY MORE COMBO quadcopter for one of the divisions of the 14th separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Roman the Great. The cost of the quadcopter, including shipping, is over UAH 83K.

Klaus Exner, German plastic surgeon, is staying at the Okhmatdyt Lviv Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital. Together with his Ukrainian colleagues, he will operate on children with congenital eyelid defects for 5 days and conduct consultations. This is his 11th visit to Okhmatdyt.

Residents of Brodivska community, whose farms were previously damaged by rocket strikes, will receive compensation for the destroyed property. The corresponding decision was made at a meeting of the executive committee of the city council.

Over the course of three days, 10 more monuments to soviet propaganda were dismantled in Lviv oblast, namely, Zolochiv, Lviv and Chervonohrad region. Since the beginning of the year, 80 objects of monumental enemy propaganda have been dismantled in the oblast. It is planned to complete the process of decommunization by the end of the year.

Rivne oblast

The first brigades from Rivne oblast went to Kherson oblast to rebuild residential and critical infrastructure that was damaged by the occupiers’ detonation of Kakhovka HPP. These are residents of Zarichnenska and Volodymyretska communities, volunteers who volunteered to help the population affected by flooding.

27 medical volunteers from Rivne oblast are ready to join the work in the communities affected by the explosion of Kakhovka HPP. Among them are 14 medics and 13 nurses. The conditions of their stay were discussed at the selector chaired by Viktor Liashko, Minister of Health.

Ternopil oblast

The Communism = Racism exhibition prepared by the Archive of National Memory was opened in Ternopil. The stands present archival documents about repressed Ukrainians of the 20th century, as well as testimonies about the modern crimes of the russian army.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

At night, the enemy attacked Ukraine from strategic aircraft. This time the attack was aimed at a military airfield in Khmelnytskyi oblast. All 13 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles were destroyed by air defense, most in Khmelnytskyi. As a result of falling debris, a fire broke out in the building, windows were broken. In addition, fragments of rockets fell in a field near one of the villages, as well as on the territory of private houses. All relevant services are working. There are no casualties. The fires have been extinguished.

The remains of one of the rockets shot down by air defense at night fell near a private house on one of the streets of the regional center. For safety reasons, the residents of private houses around the place where the debris fell were temporarily evacuated. The relevant explosive services are working. Work is being carried out to eliminate the remains of the wreckage.

Chernivtsi oblast

The RMA held a meeting with representatives of the United Nations. Humanitarian challenges and activities of international organizations in Bukovina were discussed.

A tractor, a dump truck, an excavator and the necessary equipment for clearing were sent to Kherson oblast from Bukovyna. In addition, together with the cargo, a crew of workers went to the affected settlements after the terrorist attack at Kakhovka HPP. These are men from Yurkovets community. They will join the teams of Bukovyna residents who are already working there.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Switzerland will provide Ukraine with over €1.2 million for training and demining equipment. In addition, the country will help Ukraine with the demining of territories: it will send a special remote-controlled machine and conduct training for specialists.

The Rheinmetall German arms concern will send 20 Marder infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine. The company received this order from the government of Germany. The delivery is planned to be carried out in the summer.

The EU introduced sanctions against over 100 russian individuals and legal entities. The list includes the military leadership of russia, judges, businessmen and propagandists.

Pat Ryder, Pentagon press secretary, stated that the US received a request from Denmark regarding the training of Ukrainian pilots for the use of F-16 fighters.

The Baykar Turkish company received license permits for the production of Bayraktar TB2 and Akinci attack drones in Ukraine. The plant is planned to open in 2025.

During 2022, with the assistance of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs FDFA of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation SDC, the units of the State Emergency Service received 20 front-end loaders, which significantly strengthened the potential of the Ukrainian rescue service. Currently, the equipment is involved in the implementation of engineering works to restore the damaged infrastructure of Ostriv microdistrict in the city of Kherson.

Today the 11th package of EU sanctions against russia entered into force. EU ambassadors agreed on it two days ago. The new package of sanctions provides for the elimination of loopholes that help the occupiers bypass the previously imposed restrictions.

The UN put russia on the list of shame for killing Ukrainian children and using them as human shields. The UN also confirmed that the russians maimed 518 children and carried out 480 attacks on schools and hospitals. According to the report, 91 children were used as human shields.

PACE adopted a resolution on the political consequences of russia’s aggression against Ukraine, in which, in particular, it supported Kyiv’s accession to NATO and the Ukrainian Peace Formula.
