War in Ukraine today: latest news, July 06, 2023 (photo)

It has been the 498 th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

The russian federation launched missile strikes against Ukraine, using 10 Kalibr cruise missiles, 7 of which were destroyed by anti-aircraft missile units and air force aircraft, 3 Kalibr missiles hit the city of Lviv. As a result of russian terrorist attacks on Lviv, 5 civilians were killed and more than 35 injured with varying degrees of severity. More than 35 houses, over 250 apartments, 10 dormitories, an orphanage, two higher education institutions and other civilian infrastructure were damaged and destroyed.  

In addition, the russian forces inflicted 41 air strikes and 42 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems on the positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements. In particular, the Russian army shelled peaceful settlements of Kherson and Kharkiv oblasts. 

The enemy is concentrating its main efforts on Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka. There were 20 combat clashes during the day.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, the situation remained unchanged. There were no signs of offensive groups forming. Certain units of the Armed Forces of belarus are performing tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine. Units of the russian Armed Forces that were trained at training grounds in belarus continue to move into the territory of Russia.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the enemy maintains a military presence. There was an airstrike near Hatyshche, Kharkiv region. Over the course of the day, they shelled more than 15 localities with mortars and artillery, in particular in the areas of Stari Vyrky, Iskryskivka, Katerynivka, Zapsil in Sumy oblast and Cherneshchyna, Odnorobivka and Hoptivka in Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Kupiansk, our troops are holding steadfastly. Krasne Pershe, Fiholivka, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zakhidne and Kyslivka in Kharkiv oblast came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Lyman, the enemy supported by aviation, attempted to force our troops from their positions near Bilohorivka and Karmazynivka in Luhansk oblast, but was unsuccessful. He carried out airstrikes near Karmazynivka and Nevske in Luhansk oblast and Terny, Ivanivka and Fedorivka in Donetsk oblast. More than 10 settlements came under artillery fire, including Nevske and Bilohorivka in Luhansk oblast and Verkhnekamianske and Berestove, Rozdolivka in Donetsk oblast.

Towards Bakhmut, under heavy fire from enemy aircraft and artillery, our defenders successfully repelled attacks near Ivanivske and Bila Hora. The enemy conducted an airstrike near Ivanivske in Donetsk oblast. At the same time, our soldiers continue to conduct offensive operations south and north of Bakhmut and consolidate their positions. More than 15 settlements suffered from enemy artillery shelling, including Vasiukivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Oleksandr-Shultine, Bila Hora and Diliivka in Donetsk oblast. 

Towards Avdiivka, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back the russian offensive near Pervomaiske, Donetsk oblast. The enemy conducted air strikes in the areas of Novokalynove and Avdiivka in Donetsk oblast. At the same time, the enemy shelled more than 10 settlements, including Keramik, Zhelane, Berdychi, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske and Karlivka in Donetsk oblast.

Towards Marinka, our defenders repelled all enemy attacks. Occupiers conducted an airstrike near Krasnohorivka, Donetsk oblast. The enemy fired at more than 10 settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Maksymilianivka, Hostre, Marinka and Pobieda in Donetsk oblast.

Towards Shakhtarsk, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives near Novomykhailivka, Donetsk oblast. There was an airstrike near Vuhledar. They shelled more than 15 settlements, including Blahodatne, Vuhledar, Zolota Nyva, Shakhtarske and Velyka Novosilka in Donetsk oblast.

Towards Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the enemy is focusing its main efforts on preventing the advance of Ukrainian troops. Over 30 settlements were shelled, including Malynivka, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Yehorivka, Mala Tokmachka in Zaporizhzhia oblast; Zmiivka, Antonivka, Pryozerne in Kherson oblast and the city of Kherson. At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct offensive operations towards Melitopol and Berdiansk, consolidating their positions, inflicting artillery fire on the enemy targets identified, and conducting counter-battery operations.

The russian occupiers cynically continue to violate international humanitarian law and use children’s institutions in the temporarily occupied settlements to deploy their troops, using the civilian population as human shields. For example, in the village of Novopetrivka, Berdiansk region, Zaporizhzhia oblast, at a children’s sanatorium, Russian military personnel set up a military base with more than 800 russian soldiers and military equipment in close proximity to the homes of local residents.

In the village of Chumakivka, Kherson oblast, where the russian occupiers converted the Iva recreation center into a military commandant’s office. Patriotic citizens of Ukraine are interrogated and tortured there.

Aviation of the defense forces conducted 6 strikes on buildups of enemy personnel.

Rocket and artillery units destroyed a buildup of manpower, weapons and military equipment, an ammunition depot, 6 artillery pieces at firing positions and 3 enemy electronic warfare stations.

The Office of the President reported that another 45 Ukrainian servicemen returned from russian captivity. Among them are 2 officers, 41 privates and sergeants, as well as a civilian employee of Azovstal and a terrorist from Kherson. 

Natalia Kostenko, Deputy Permanent Representative of Ukraine to International Organizations in Vienna, says that russia’s current losses are 8 times higher than Ukraine’s. She emphasized that Ukraine’s strategy differs from russia’s. Ukraine’s strategy is to do everything possible to save the lives of our military and liberate the occupied territories with minimal losses. 

According to the Office of the President, two illegally taken children,  6-year-old Renat and 10-year-old Varvara, also returned home. Their mother, a combat medic, was released from russian captivity during a major exchange in October.


Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

Kharkiv MRA reported that the day before, towards Sloboda, the  russian military carried out airstrikes near Pletenivka, Chuhuiv region. During the day, they fired mortar and artillery shells at Hatyshche in Chuhuiv region, Veterynarne, Kozacha Lopan, and Zelenne.

Towards Kupiansk, the occupiers carried out air strikes in the areas of Ivanivka and Kyslivka. Petro-Ivanivka, Fiholivka, Monachynivka, Husynka, Novomlynsk and Kyslivka came under artillery and mortar fire. 

In the village of Kozacha Lopan, a residential building was damaged as a result of hostile shelling. There were no casualties.

On July 5, at 14.45, houses, outbuildings and a car were damaged! as a result of the shelling by the russian military in Vovchansk. A 54 year old man was injured, and hospitalised in moderate condition.

Oleksandr Husarov, Head of Pechenehi community said that in the morning, a road worker’s tractor was blown up on a mine at the fork of the Pechenyhy-Martove-Velykyi Burluk road.  According to him, the driver sustained concussion and light injuries from glass shards. Numerous mines were found by sappers who had already inspected the area. 

Over the past day, July 5, pyrotechnic teams of the State Emergency Service examined about 8.6 hectares of Kharkiv oblast. The sappers found and defused 78 ordnance.

Donetsk oblast

According to the RMA, on 5 July, russians wounded 5 residents in Avdiivka, Toretsk, Soloviove and Velyka Novosilka, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Volnovakha, Vuhledar community was shelled: 5 houses were damaged in Maksymivka. Prechystivka and Vuhledar were shelled with artillery. One person was wounded in Velyka Novosilka, 13 houses were damaged in Shakhtarske.

Towards Donetsk, Avdiivka was subjected to massive artillery shelling, tank and Grad attacks, resulting in damage to eight streets. In Kurakhove, two houses were damaged and a fire broke out on agricultural land.  Krasnohorivka and Kostiantynivka of Mariinka community, Orlivka of Ocheretyne community were also shelled.

Towards Horlivka, 1 person was wounded in Toretsk, 10 houses and 2 infrastructure facilities damaged. A house was damaged in Pivnichne. A missile damaged 10 houses in Kostiantynivka. One house was damaged in Chasiv Yar community, and one in Kleban-Byk of Illinivka community.

Towards Lysychansk, Lyman community was shelled: 2 houses were destroyed and 2 damaged in Terny, 2 houses damaged in Ivanivka. A building was damaged in Siversk.

According to Serhii Cherevatyi, Spokesman for the Eastern Military Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, severe hostilities are taking place near Klishchiivka, south of Bakhmut. Towards Avdiivka, the AFU are restraining the advance of russian troops and repelling assault units aiming to seize Marinka. russian soldiers stormed this area 23 times during the day, firing 586 times at the positions of Ukrainian defenders. 116 occupiers were killed and wounded, one captured. The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 47 pieces of russian weaponry, including 6 tanks, 3 armoured personnel carriers, 9 artillery systems and mortar launchers, 5 UAVs, Zoopark-1 radar, and Murom-M visual surveillance system. The AFU also struck at an enemy buildup, destroying 5 ammunition depots.

Police officers brought humanitarian aid to the village of Vremivka, near Velyka Novosilka in Donetsk oblast. For a long time, the village was located 200 m from the russian occupiers, and law enforcement officers were unable to help the 14 villagers.

Luhansk oblast

The RMA reported that the russian forces have concentrated a multi-thousand personnel in Luhansk oblast, allowing them to launch attacks several times a day in different areas of the region. This time, they are advancing north and south of Svatove, trying to approach Novoselivske and Novoiehorivka, yet failing. The occupiers attacked Bilohorivka from the air and artillery. They also shelled Nevske.

The RMA reported that since October, the russian authorities have been claiming to simplify border crossings with the so-called ‘luhansk people’s republic’. However, people waited in queues, repeatedly expressing their dissatisfaction, as the inspection and document checks only intensified. And recently, the russians completed the repair of the checkpoint, yet the procedures were not simplified.

The RMA reported that private houses in Kreminna are occupied by the russian military. Many local residents have either evacuated to safer regions of Ukraine or moved further into the occupied territory away from the frontline. Those who return usually cannot get home. The occupiers do not even allow the owners to enter the yards of illegally occupied houses. There is almost nothing left in the empty houses. According to witnesses, the russians stole the property of the residents of Kreminna and took it away in trucks.

Volunteer Yurii Shyrokov said that humanitarian aid is being distributed in Nevske under shelling from tanks and mortars. In addition to 65 food packages from the regional state administration, a generator and a motor pump for pumping water have been recently delivered to the settlement. Nets, generators, clothes, and footwear were delivered to the defenders of Luhansk oblast. Volunteers Philip Iliiv-York and Khrystyna Voronovska purchased generators and pumps and transported them to Nevske. The volunteers were accompanied by officers of the regional department of the National Police.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Kyiv Administration reported that staff exercises of the civil defense forces were held in Kyiv. The exercise tested the effectiveness of the developed response plans in the case of a threat or emergency related to contamination with radioactive materials. In addition, the interaction between the authorities and the defense forces was drilled.

Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko reported that a 350-bed medical centre for rehabilitation and palliative care will be set up in the capital on the basis of the Kyiv City Hospital for War Veterans. The centre has repaired buildings damaged as a result of hostilities, purchased rehabilitation equipment, and is currently renovating some of its premises. Since June 2022, the centre has been accepting wounded Ukrainian servicemen for staged treatment and rehabilitation.

The wreckage of the British Lend-Lease Hurricane jets from the Second World War became available to journalists during a press release organized by the Kyiv City Military Administration. The journalists were able not only to film the remains of the newly found fighters, but also to receive on-site professional comments on the aircraft that the USSR received from the United States and the United Kingdom under a lend-lease to fight the aggressor.

Kyiv has joined the World Cities Culture Forum, which will focus on the role of culture as an important principle of the sustainable future of cities. An exhibition of French street artist Christian Guerrier, known as C215, will be held in Kyiv. The presentation of the exhibition GUERRE EN UKRAINE will take place on July 8 at the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War. The exhibition will feature the artist’s latest works created in Ukraine during the full-scale russian-Ukrainian war.

Competitions, sweet prizes, balloons, dressing up as firefighters, getting to know the equipment and extinguishing a mock fire – this is how children from the Caramel of Emotions camp in the Alexandria Arboretum in Bila Tserkva region spent their leisure time with rescuers. During the game, the kids learned from the SES specialists about actions during air raids and mining safety.

Zhytomyr oblast

According to Vitalii Bunechko, Head of the Zhytomyr Regional State Administration, Zhytomyr oblast will receive over UAH 830 million from the Fund for Eliminating Consequences of russia’s Armed Aggression to implement five reconstruction projects.The funds will be used to reconstruct 2 lyceums and 2 hospitals of the oblast as well as a dormitory in Zarichany.

Zhytomyr City Council has announced plans to equip a shelter with an automated access system. The doors of the shelter will be equipped with electronic locks that can be opened remotely by the dispatcher. From inside the room, the doors will be opened with a button so that people can leave the shelter without interference.

Residents of Zhytomyr oblast are invited to join the exhibition and sale of paintings by wounded Ukrainian soldiers called Art of the Unbreakable. The event started on 30 June at the Regional Museum of Local Lore. It features paintings by servicemen who are undergoing treatment in the trauma unit of Zhytomyr Military Hospital.

The Congress of Solidarity of Azerbaijanis of Ukraine NGO has handed over charitable aid to a military medical facility in Zhytomyr. The military hospital received microwave ovens, electric kettles, Azerbaijani teas, medicines, disposable syringes, and hygiene products.

Sumy oblast

The ‘North’ Operational Command, reports that russian invaders continue to shell the border areas of the oblast, hitting 6 settlements. Thus, 18 hits from cannon artillery were recorded in the area of Znob-Novhorodske. In the area of Seredyno-Buda, there were 25 attacks from automatic weapons. A private house and a shop were damaged. There were 2 mortar attacks in the area of Fotovyzh. In the area of Ulanove, there were 10 hits from a tank and 14 hits from cannon artillery. russians fired mortar shells at Yastrubshchyna 16 times. In the area of Novovasylivka there were 2 attacks from cannon artillery. There was no information about casualties.

At night and in the morning, russians fired three times at the border, causing 25 explosions. 

In Yunakivka community, a grenade launcher attack was carried out, causing 15 explosions. In Khotyn community, the enemy fired from a mortar, causing 2 explosions. Krasnopilllia community was shelled.  There were no casualties or destruction of civilian infrastructure.

Sumy headquarters for the elimination of the consequences of the emergency caused by the attack of enemy drones held a regular meeting to summarize the results of the day’s work. The meeting decided to inspect the damaged property. The situation has not changed in terms of deaths and injuries: 3 people were killed and 22 wounded. Four injured remain in hospitals: two are in moderate condition and two are in intensive care. Five elderly people live in the dormitory provided for the victims. They are provided with food and hygiene products. One person with a disability living in the dormitory was provided with necessary rehabilitation equipment. Other victims are staying at their relatives’.

Taras Savchenko, Deputy Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, reports that Sumy oblast is among the leaders in Ukraine in terms of resources allocated for reimbursement under the Recovery program. 

Volodymyr Artiukh, Head of the Regional Military Administration, says that the military of Sumy oblast received lighting equipment to strengthen the fight against enemy drones. The first batch of powerful searchlights and flashlights has already been delivered to a military unit.

Recently, the military personnel of the Sumy Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support have been practicing their skills in small arms shooting and tactical medicine. 

The new enclosures are home to 12 evacuated dogs from Donetsk oblast as reported by Sumy Society for the Protection of Animals. Mostly from the outskirts of Bakhmut, some from Sloviansk. Instead of resting after their extremely difficult mission to rescue the animals, the rescuers went on to Nikopol, which suffers daily from enemy shelling. All the dogs have been vaccinated, fed, and are resting after a long journey.

German friends from the Society for International Cooperation delivered the second part of a modern modular polyclinic to Sumy oblast. The valuable cargo worth approximately $350 K arrived to Trostianets.

The press center of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, reports that in Sumy, on the fourth day of rubble removal, a cat was rescued at the site of russian shelling, after fighting bravely for his life for 4 days.

Chernihiv oblast

The State Border Guard Service reported that the occupiers fired on three border communities in Chernihiv oblast on July 5. Snovsk community was attacked with 7 explosions from an automatic grenade launcher, Semenivka with 32 mortar and 2 artillery attacks, and Novhorod-Siversk with 3 mortar attacks.

Relying on the information provided by the ‘North’ Air Command, the enemy continues to attack border communities of Chernihiv oblast: the villages of Semenivka community were shelled. In the village of Kostobobriv, there were 21 presumed mortar hits and 3 tank attacks. In the village of Mykolayivka, 8 mines exploded.

Chernihiv Regional State Administration reported that a Danish company has donated insulation to Chernihiv University. 750 m² of mineral wool was provided by ROCKWOOL company to insulate the university dormitory.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

According to Mykola Lukashuk, Head of the Regional Council, the russian army attacked Nikopol region three times overnight. They fired from heavy artillery at the city of Nikopol and Chervonohryhorivka community. A private house, 2 outbuildings, and a power line were damaged. Over the region, defenders from the East  Air Command shot down an enemy drone. In the afternoon, the aggressor attacked Marhanets community of Nikopol region twice.

Vinnytsia oblast

Vinnytsia Mayor Serhii Morhunov announced that 28-year-old Mykola from Vinnytsia is one of the soldiers released from russian captivity on 6 July. The border guard was held captive for more than 15 months.

Kirovohrad oblast

Relying on the information provided by the ‘South’ Air Command,  a Kalibr sea-launched cruise missile was destroyed over Kirovohrad oblast during a nighttime missile attack. 

According to Andrii Raikovych, Head of the Regional State Administration, soldier Vasyl Mazurko from Kropyvnytskyi was released from russian captivity.

Poltava oblast

Hryhorii Oksak, ‘Veteran’ Centre’s Director,  reported that the institution has opened in Poltava. It includes a therapeutic department, a rehabilitation department with neurological beds, etc.

Cherkasy oblast

According to Ihor Taburets, Head of the State Administration , the wreckage of a downed cruise missile fell in Cherkasy oblast during an air raid last night. As a result, the roofs of two houses and the power grid were damaged.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

On July 5, russian troops shelled 14 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. 

State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Zaporizhzhia oblast reported as a result of enemy shelling, 4 fires broke out in wheat fields in Zaporizhzhia oblast. The fire destroyed 58 hectares of grain. In addition, 7 fires broke out in Polohy region during the day as a result of hostile shelling. Firefighters extinguished the fire in a residential building and three outbuildings on a total area of 199 square meters.

Kyrylo Budanov, Defence Intelligence chief, says that in recent days, the risk of an artificial disaster at the occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP has been gradually decreasing. 

According to Energoatom, on July 6, a slight decrease in the water level was recorded in the ZNPP cooling pond. It is currently 16.54 meters. This is enough for the needs of the plant.

Energoatom reported that at the Zaporizhzhia NPP, the occupiers appoint inexperienced russian specialists without the necessary knowledge and skills to senior positions. This increases the threat to ZNPP safety.

Mykolaiv oblast

The South Air Command of the Ukrainian Air Force has reported that on July 5, eight drones of Iranian origin, launched by russia, were successfully shot down over Mykolaiv oblast. Among the downed drones were four Lancet, two Merlin-BP, one Zala, and one Orlan-10. Additionally, on the night of July 6, the air defense forces successfully destroyed an enemy Kalibr missile.

On July 5, at 09:30, 11:00, and 13:18, there were artillery and mortar attacks. Further mortar attacks were observed at 16:35 and 20:41 in the waters of Ochakiv community. Additionally, at 12:50 and 16:05, a settlement in Kutsurub community came under enemy fire, resulting in a dry grass fire. Prompt action from units of the State Emergency Service in the Mykolaiv region successfully extinguished the fire. Furthermore, on July 5, at 9:11, 16:08, 20:05, and during the night at 01:40, Ochakiv city was shelled. Fortunately, there were no casualties or damage.

As of July 6, approximately a dozen mines have been discovered on the coasts of Mykolaiv and Odesa oblasts due to destabilization of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station dam. The uncontrolled detonation of these mines poses a significant threat to the security of the region.

Odesa oblast

Volunteers in Odesa are currently installing mobile bomb shelters in the city. Initially, three shelters will be set up, but there are plans to increase their number in the future and equip mobile bomb shelters in the broader Odesa oblast as well. The aim is to address the issue of children’s safety in educational institutions and provide them with a secure environment.

On July 5, Sviatoslav Vakarchuk organized a charity concert and auction at Odesa Music and Comedy Theater to raise funds for military brigades in Odesa. The event began with an auction, during which a guitar signed by Sviatoslav Vakarchuk was sold for UAH 170 K, and a painting titled “Azovstal” by Odesa sculptor Mykhailo Reva was sold for UAH 40,500. The proceeds from these sales will be donated to the military personnel of the 28th and 35th Odesa Brigades.

Kherson oblast

On July 6, in the morning, the russian army shelled Kherson region. A 73-year-old woman was injured in Antonivka. Two people are in serious condition in the village of Pryozerne. Three people were injured ed in Kherson. 

Last night, russian military shelled Bilozerka in Kherson region: one man was killed and five people were injured. 

At night on July 6, russian troops attacked Kherson, Inzhenerne, and fired artillery at the left bank of the Dnipro River near Antonivskyi Bridge.

The General Staff reported on July 5, the russian army launched air strikes on Havrylivka, Novodarivka, Zmiivka, and Antonivka in Kherson region. It also fired artillery at Tokarivka, Antonivka, Veletynske, Kizomys and Kherson. 

On July 5, the russian army fired 84 times at Kherson region, firing 38 shells at Kherson. Two people were killed and ten injured. 

According to Andriy Yermak, Head of the President’s Office, the 47th prisoner exchange took place on July 6: Ukraine returned 45 people from russian captivity, including a territorial defense solder and an activist from Kherson. In total, 2576 Ukrainians have returned home since February 24, 2022. 

12-year-old girl Ivanka from Kherson oblast turned the house where she lives into an art object: she painted it with Ukrainian symbols, wishes for victory over the russian army, and urged to remember her roots. Together with her parents, the girl actively helps the Ukrainian army.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

A 346 kVA generator equipped with a special container was sent from Volyn to the military thanks to the Swedish Aid Center CF. The equipment with a capacity of  is completely ready for use. Swedish volunteers also translated instructions into Ukrainian.

Zakarpattia oblast

Uzhhorod City Council held a bilateral meeting within the framework of the international grant agreement on developing cross-border culture through renovating theaters of Satu Mare and Uzhgorod, which is financed by the EU. Further joint activities of the final stage of the project, which will last until the end of this year, were discussed.

The RMA held a meeting with Zbigniew Wojciechowski, vice-marshal of the Lublin Voivodeship. They discussed details of the 4-party agreement on cooperation and the possibility of improving the health of Zakarpattia soldiers’ children in Poland.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

In the premises of the State Archives Service of Ukraine, a contract was signed on the cooperation of the State Archives of Ivano-Frankivsk oblast with the FamilySearch International corporation (USA). According to the terms of the agreement, the implementation of an important project will be to digitize the collection of metric books of churches, churches, synagogues of the Stanislav Voivodeship, acts of public status, court documents and cases, household books and other documents.

The Carpathian National Guard received 30 Motorola DP4801E radio stations and rechargeable batteries for Motorola walkie-talkies, worth over UAH 1 million 100K. These are funds allocated from the regional budget.

Lviv oblast

The youngest girl who was killed by a rocket in her apartment at night in Lviv was only 21. The oldest victim was 95. The woman survived World War II, but did not survive rushism. As of this hour, 5 people have been confirmed dead. Rescuers continue to clear debris. There may still be people under them. 40 people needed medical assistance. 13 of them were hospitalized. Over 30 houses were destroyed; over 250 apartments; 10 hostels; a child’s home; two institutions of higher education; sanatorium school; and a power substation in Lviv was damaged (150 consumers remain without electricity). This is the most destructive attack on the civilian population in Lviv oblast since the war began.

In Lviv district, a fragment of a rocket fell in one of the villages near the building of the People’s House. A gap was formed. Previously, there were no casualties.

In Zolochiv region, as a result of falling rocket debris, there is destruction in a private household in one of the villages. According to preliminary information, there are no victims.

Lviv City Council reported that UAH 100 million was allocated from the city budget for liquidation of the consequences of the night shelling of the city. Also, UAH 10 million will be allocated for business voucher support.

Andrii Sadovyi, Mayor of Lviv, announced that in the city, a two-day mourning was announced for those who were killed as a result of the russian missile attack.

Rivne oblast

During April-June, pyrotechnicians of the emergency and rescue squad of the special purpose emergency department of Rivne oblast destroyed 553 explosive objects on a total area of ​​over 85 hectares. In Kharkiv oblast, 5.9 hectares of territory were surveyed and 156 munitions were destroyed, in Kherson oblast – 72.8 hectares and 367 munitions were destroyed. 6.4 hectares were demined in Mykolaiv oblast and 30 dangerous explosive objects destroyed.

The RMA reported that fighters of one of the divisions of the 104th separate brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces conducted tactical training near the state border. Military personnel practiced both defensive actions and offensive operations.

Mariia Peshko, mother of the fallen Hero Ivan Kliuiko, set up a playground in memory of her son. Last autumn, the woman installed a football field with an artificial surface near the lyceum, where her son Ivan Kliuiko studied.

Ternopil oblast

The RMA held a meeting with representatives of the Legion all-Ukrainian educational camp. Cooperation and further communication were discussed. This year, Ternopil RMA will contribute to the 25th anniversary patriotic formation camp, the purpose of which is to implement the military-patriotic education of the youth, popularize the military service and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

In Khmelnytskyi, volunteers of the Defense – Association of Volunteers public organization produced a record-setting camouflage net for border guards. They worked for 11 days on the canvas measuring 15 by 15 meters and covering an area of ​​225 square meters. Since the war began, benefactors have woven 1,7K camouflage nets and 1,9K protective suits.

Chernivtsi oblast

A two-day international Ukrainian-Romanian-Moldavian business forum has started in Bukovina. Its purpose is to strengthen tripartite interregional cooperation between Ukraine, Romania and the Republic of Moldova. In particular, establish relations with international partners, develop mutually beneficial cross-border cooperation, discuss current topics of trade cooperation between the three states and development of tourism.

Chernivtsi City Council held a meeting with a delegation from Estonia. Collaboration and exchange of ideas will help improve psychological care and rehabilitation programs.

In the city of Zastavna, the fifth floor of the dormitory of the Higher Vocational School # 24 was completely renovated. 30 living rooms were equipped here. They will be able to accommodate 75 IDPs.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

The Ministry of Defense of Finland reported that the country approved the 17th package of defense aid, including anti-aircraft weapons and ammunition, to Ukraine worth about EUR 105 million. In total, Finland has already provided EUR 1.2 billion in aid to Ukraine.
