Russian troops launched 3 missiles, 17 air strikes, over 20 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian infrastructure in various settlements.
Ukraine is under the threat of missile and air strikes.
The russian army focuses on offensive operations towards Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mariinka directions. Due to coordinated actions of the units of Ukrainian Defense Forces and heroism of every Ukrainian soldier, over 45 russian attacks were repelled. Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Marinka remain at the epicenter of fighting.
Towards Volyn, Polissia, Siversk, and Sloboda, there were no significant changes in the operational situation. No signs of the formation of russian offensive groups were found. Certain units of the armed forces of the republic of belarus continue their missions in the areas bordering Ukraine. The russian federation continues to use the airspace and territory of the republic of belarus and its military infrastructure. The russian units are being trained at belarusian training grounds. The russian army continues to maintain military presence in the border areas of Kursk and Belgorod oblasts, russia.

Towards Bakhmut, the russian army attempts to take full control of the city of Bakhmut, continuing the assault. Russian soldiers conducted unsuccessful offensive operations near the settlements of Orikhovo-Vasylivka and Ivanivske. Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled about 20 russian attacks in this area of the line of contact. Vasiukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Novomarkove, Bohdanivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Ozarianivka, Dachne, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Zalizne, and New Yor, Donetsk oblast, among other settlements, suffered from russian shelling.

So far, the “evacuation” is reported to be voluntary with women and children to be taken out first.
The Ukrainian Air Force launched 5 air strikes on buildups of personnel and military equipment of the russian military. Ukrainian troops also shot down 1 reconnaissance UAV of the russian army. Rocket and artillery units hit 1 concentration of russian manpower.
According to the Coordination staff, 12 Ukrainian captives were returned back home. There are 10 servicemen among them, 5 gravely wounded, and 2 civilians.
According to Ukrenerho, the electric power is not being imported. Power generation is sufficient to cover all consumer needs notwithstanding its high consumption. There is enough capacity in the energy system.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine
Kharkiv oblast
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, at least 12 settlements were under russian shelling.
The owner of the eco-park, Oleksandr Feldmam, reported that the olive tree, which was hit by russian shells last spring, survived. Previously, the 370-year-old tree was considered to be dead.
The invaders continue to shell the border settlements of Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Izyum and Chuhuiv regions. Kupiansk, Veterynarne, Hatyshche, Velykyi Burluk, Dvorichna, Krokhmalne and other settlements were under attack yesterday.
As a result of the shelling of Kupiansk, civilian industry facilities were damaged. A 65-year-old woman was injured and hospitalized in moderate condition.
In Vovchanski Khutory village, Chuhuiv region, a shop building was damaged as a result of enemy shelling. The enemy also shelled Bohuslavka village, Izium region, with multiple rocket launchers, damaging a residential building.
Mine clearance is ongoing. Yesterday, pyrotechnic units inspected almost 2 hectares of territory and diffused 47 explosive ordnance.
Donetsk oblast
One person was killed and one injured during russian shelling of Avdiivka. They shelled Industrialnyi Avenue, hitting a bus with two people in it at the time, a driver and a passenger. The driver survived, but the passenger sustained injuries incompatible with life.
Almost at the same time, Chasiv Yar was under massive shelling, 2 buildings burned down and 3 more were damaged. There were no casualties. People evacuated in time.
Yesterday morning, russians attacked Kostiantynivka with S-300 and Uragan missiles, killing 6 people and injuring 9. 17 apartment and 18 private buildings, a kindergarten, a hospital and an administrative building were damaged.
Towards Volnovakha, Prechystivka was shelled with Grad MRLs, with no casualties.
Towards Donetsk, russians shelled Kurakhove community 9 times with artillery, damaging the energy infrastructure facility, 9 buildings in Kurakhove and 20 more in Hirnyk. In Mariinka community, Mariinka, Krasnohorivka and Heorhiivka were targeted. Avdiivka suffered 3 missile attacks, hitting the residential sector and the territory of the Avdiivka Coke Plant. An administrative building was damaged in Ocheretyne.
Towards Horlivka, 2 people were injured and an apartment building in Bakhmut was damaged. 17 buildings in Toretsk community and 4 in Soledar community were damaged.
Towards Lysychansk, there were shellings in Zarichne of Lyman community and in Siversk.

Pavlo Kyrylenko, head of the Donetsk RMA, informed that yesterday russians killed 6 civilians in Kostiantynivka and injured 14 more in the region.
Luhansk oblast
The invaders again massively shelled settlements along the front line. They targeted Novoselivske, Nevske and Bilohorivka.
Oleksii Smyrnov, acting head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration said that once again the enemy tried to attack Bilohorivka but failed. He noted that Ukrainian troops are bravely holding the line there. They have built a reliable line of defense there, stopping russian actions, exploiting the maximum out of available weapons. They repel constant russian attacks, despite the fact that the enemy is outnumbered.
According to the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, russians refuse to dismiss elderly residents of the so-called Luhansk People’s Republic from the service and food industries in the occupied stores after the arrival of “humanitarian convoys”.
Oleksandr Striuk, head of the Sievierodonetsk City Military Administration, reported that the so-called “reconstruction” by russians looks like a large-scale fake. The invaders break into apartments without asking the owners, at best, change windows in some houses and continue looting.

Kyiv oblast
Audrey Azoulay, Director-General of UNESCO, paid a visit to Kyiv. She visited the St Sophia of Kyiv National Conservation Area and met with First Lady Olena Zelenska.
The postal operator reported that Ukrposhta fully renewed postal infrastructure in Borodianka district. Over UAH 700,000 was spent on repairing and furnishing damaged buildings. Volunteers also helped restore the postal infrastructure: with the support of the RAION #1 Foundation, 100 people cleared the rubble and cleaned the premises of the sorting facility in Borodianka after the russian occupation. In total, 4 tonnes of garbage were removed.
The Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported that a modular kindergarten was opened in Zaholtsy. The educational institution is designed for the simultaneous education of 55 children and is fully equipped with the necessary furniture, kitchen, and generator. The modular kindergarten was installed with the support of the Hungarian Ecumenical Relief Service-Ukraine Charitable Foundation.
Since the beginning of 2023, the Kyiv Regional Employment Service has employed 210 IDPs. Over the past three months, more than 1,600 internally displaced persons have applied to the Kyiv Oblast Employment Service, of whom more than a thousand have received career guidance services and 380 are receiving unemployment benefits.
Charity event “Unbreakable Spirit of the Unconquered Nation” held in Skvyra to raise over UAH 360 thousand. The funds will be used to purchase Starlink satellite systems for the Bila Tserkva Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment.
Washington commemorates civilians killed in Bucha during russian occupation. Dozens of activists carrying Ukrainian and American flags, posters, and slogans gathered on Sunday near the White House. The event was arranged by the charity organization US Ukrainian Activists (USUA). Participants called on the US administration to recognise russia as a terrorist state and support the creation of a special tribunal for russia.

Klaus Meine, the Scorpions’ singer, said during the interview with Deutsche Presse-Agentur that German rock band Scorpions hopes to give a Peace Concert on Kyiv’s Independence Square after the end of the war. According to him, the band canceled all concerts in russia because of the russian war against Ukraine, and also changed the lyrics of their famous song “Wind of Change” so that it did not romanticize russia, but instead expressed solidarity with Ukraine.
Zhytomyr oblast
The city council reported that street cars and some trolleybuses have resumed their work in Zhytomyr. To recap, electric transport has not been running in Zhytomyr since 9 March as a result of shelling of the energy infrastructure facility by the russian military.
Internally displaced persons and those released from captivity can receive vouchers for education in 63 educational institutions of Zhytomyr oblast. According to the regional military administration, 70 professions and specialities have been identified for which a voucher — a document that can be used to pay the full or partial cost of education in educational institutions, can be obtained.
Professional photographers Inna Stelmakh and Lena Ris, natives of Zhytomyr oblast who have been living in Denmark for a long time, came to Ukraine to make a photo story of the project called “Light in the Dark”. According to them, this project includes not only photographs, but also stories of women of different professions. For their project, they have already found more than ten female heroes from Zhytomyr oblast, including three teachers, a kindergarten teacher and cook, a bandura player, and girls who weave nets, sing at the front line for the military, and conduct master classes for IDPs.
Sumy oblast
According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, on 2 April, at about 4 a.m., russian troops opened fire on a milk truck in Nova Sloboda community, as a result of the attack, the driver and a passenger died. Pre-trial investigation has been initiated.
According to the Sumy Regional Military Administration, the enemy launched mortar attacks on the territories of Bilopillia, Yunakivka, Khotin, and Krasnopillia communities. In total, there were more than 50 mortar bombs dropped on these territories. A farm, premises of an agricultural enterprise, refrigeration equipment and a power line were damaged in Yunakivka community, and 6 private houses were damaged in Khotin community. Krasnopillia region was also attacked with a guided missile or ATGM.
In the morning, the enemy opened mortar fire at Bilopillia and Miropillia communities. In total, the russians fired 20 mortar bombs.
According to Artem Semenikhin, head of the Konotop territorial community, firefighters from Konotop have received a fire truck from Poland. The truck, equipped with a 30-metre aerial ladder with a cradle for 6 people, came from the Krakow School of Postgraduate Studies of the State Fire Service.
Bilopillia and Оkhtyrka will receive Mercedes-Benz passenger buses as a gift. This decision was made by the Hungarian government. Two vehicles have already crossed the Ukrainian border and are on their way to their destinations.
Women in Sumy will be able to attend a class on “Home health care in certain emergency conditions”. The event is arranged by the NGO “Ukrainian Women`s Guard”. The classes, which will be held at the Sumy Professional Medical College, will include training in CPR, emergency care for bleeding and fractures, airway management, etc.
Chernihiv oblast
A car exploded on an anti-tank mine in Yanzhulivka village of Semenivka community in Chernihiv oblast. The explosion killed a 43-year-old man and his son. This is the second incident in the last two day. The day before, two people died after their car drove on a mine. The village is located close to the russian border and is regularly shelled.
The “North” Operational Command reported that Chernihiv oblast celebrates the anniversary of its liberation from the invaders – a year ago, russian troops finally withdrew from the settlements of the oblast. On the anniversary of the de-occupation, Council of Europe Secretary General Marija Pejčinović-Burić and German Vice Chancellor Robert Habeck visited Yahidne, a village known for war crimes committed on its territory, together with the President of Ukraine. In Yahidne village, the russian military held 299 adults and 67 children in the school basement. Local residents spent 27 days in this basement, during which time 11 of them died.

According to the website of the President of Ukraine, Chernihiv has been awarded the Hero City title by the President of Ukraine. The badge of honour was handed over to Dmytro Bryzhynskyi, Head of the Chernihiv City Military Administration. Dnipropetrovsk oblast
The hospital in Kryvyi Rih received two new generators. The International Organization for Migration assisted one of the regional medical facilities as part of the project “Emergency response to the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine”.
The Consultation Center of the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Human Rights started operations in Dnipro. The residents of the oblast will be able to consult on issues related to human rights violations; to receive clarification on ways to return a child or families with children from temporarily occupied territories, etc.
Vinnytsia oblast

Fallen aviators from Myrhorod were depicted in a calendar about prominent Ukrainians. Pilots Oleksandr Oksanchenko and Stepan Chobanu died in the first days of the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine. Their graphic portraits were included in the calendar about prominent Ukrainians.

Cherkasy oblast
The Shpola community actively volunteered to collect funds and buy another car for the military at the front. They organized a “Path to Victory” charity fair in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and collected more than 200 thousand hryvnias.
In Cherkasy, internally displaced persons learned about the history and culture of their ancestors. During the “Archaeological Games”, organized by the Integration Hub “Cherkasy – Your City”, IDPs searched for sights and made amphorae from shards.

Zaporizhzhia oblast
The situation towards Zaporizhzhia has not significantly changed. The enemy’s main efforts are focused on holding the occupied positions.The enemy carried out 81 shelling attacks on the positions of Ukrainian defenders, using tank weapons, reactive and barrel artillery along the entire front line.
Yesterday, the occupiers shelled civilian infrastructure in the settlements of Huliaipole, Novoandrivka, Charivne, Zaliznychne, Chervone, Mali Shcherbaky, Orikhiv, Novodanylivka, Bilohiria, Olhivske, Zatyshshia, Mala Tokmachka, Shcherbaky, Malynivka, Chervona Krynytsia, Kamianske. 14 reports have been received by the police about the destruction of citizens’ buildings (apartments) and infrastructure facilities as a result of shelling by russian military personnel.
Yesterday, the enemy launched 55 artillery strikes, five of which were from MLRS, one air strike, and seven UAV attacks in the Vasylivka and Polohy regions. Experts are already recording new destruction in private sectors of cities and villages and are working to eliminate the consequences of the strikes. A civilian was injured during the artillery shelling and is currently in the hospital.
During the weekend of April 1st and 2nd, about 20 settlements in the region were affected by enemy shelling, mainly in the Huliaipole and Orikhiv directions. Settlements in the Vasylivka region also came under enemy fire.

Russian occupiers continue the forced issuing of passports to the population in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia oblast. Specifically, in Melitopol, the occupiers force school teachers to write a refusal of Ukrainian citizenship and obtain russian passports by June 1 of this year.
Today, the collaborator Maksym Zubariev’s car exploded in the temporarily occupied Melitopol. The collaborator went to cooperate with the occupiers and headed the so-called “Iakymivka administration”.
Mykolaiv oblast
Yesterday, the enemy shelled the waters of the Ochakiv community using artillery. According to the Mykolaiv RMA there were no casualties or damage.

The state-owned enterprise “Mykolaivoblenerho” has received 16 humanitarian shipments of power equipment and materials weighing 169.7 tons worth tens of millions of hryvnias over the past month from international partners and Ukrainian volunteers.
The international charity organization Mission East and Neo-Eco Ukraine have signed a cooperation agreement to transform the rubble of war-damaged buildings into materials for green reconstruction of villages together with the local authorities of Mykolaiv oblast.
Danish urbanist and cycling activist Mikael Colville-Andersen, together with his team, is developing a concept for a cycling infrastructure in Mykolaiv to make the city bicycle-friendly, where cycling can be developed following the European example. Mikael and his team have been working on the concept for Mykolaiv for two months now. Later, the Danish activist will communicate with the Danish government to support the implementation of this project.
Odesa oblast
Today, the possibility of enemy rocket and aviation strikes, and drone kamikaze attacks remains high Odesa oblast. Military hospitals in Odesa and Dnipro have received FDR Xair FUJIFILM X-ray machines that can operate without electricity. The advantage of such a portable X-ray machine, especially in wartime, is its mobility and portability. The weight of the X-ray machine is only 3.5 kg, which allows for working in limited spaces and easy movement of the device as needed. A fully charged X-ray machine can take up to 100 images.
The Balta Multi-Profile Hospital has received new medical equipment from the Terre des Hommes Italia charity organization. Thanks to their help, the operating room, cardiology and vascular pathology departments, endoscopy room, and maternity ward have been modernized.
Kherson oblast
Today, the russian army shelled a hospital in Kherson. More than twenty windows were shattered, and the fence surrounding the hospital was damaged. Currently, over two hundred patients are receiving treatment in the facility, and a hundred specialists are working there. There were no casualties.
Yesterday, russian occupiers attacked cities and villages in Kherson oblast 20 times. They fired 131 shells from mortars, multiple rocket launchers, artillery, tanks, and drones. During the mortar shelling of the Korabel microdistrict, a 47-year-old man was killed in the yard of his own house. The police have initiated 28 criminal cases against the russian army for war crimes in Kherson oblast.
A local resident was tripped by a russian explosive device near the village of Shliakhove in the Beryslav community. The 60-year-old man tried to move an unknown explosive item on his own. The explosive detonated in his hands, killing him on the spot. As of April 3, 12.5 thousand hectares have been cleared of mines in Kherson oblast. According to the head of the Kherson RMA, Oleksandr Prokudin, only 10% of the de-occupied agricultural lands have been cleared of mines.
In the Skadovsk region, Kherson oblast, russian occupiers have started compiling lists of local residents who agree to be “evacuated” to Crimea or the territory of the russian federation. It is known that the “evacuation” will be carried out on a voluntary basis so far, with women and children being evacuated first.

The police evacuated a family with five children from 1 to 10 years old from the war zone in Kherson oblast. A soldier from Novovolynsk in the US was fitted with a modern prosthesis instead of an amputated arm. Lviv celebrates the 33rd anniversary of raising the Ukrainian national flag over the city council. It was on this day, 33 years ago, that the blue-yellow flag first flew over the building of the City Hall.

Vitalii Koval, Head of the Rivne RMA, reported that during the 404 days of the war, there were 381 air raids in Rivne oblast. The head of the oblast also summarized March. There were 25 alarms in total (20 alarms were in February). The longest alarm was recorded on March 9. It lasted 4 hours and 08 minutes (from 02:39 to 06:47). The shortest alarm is March 10. Its duration is 9 minutes (from 18:52 to 19:01). The alarm was announced four times during the day on March 14. He also added that the maximum number of days without alarms is 4 days. “Silence Mode” lasted from March 23 (11:06 AM) to March 27 (11:29 PM).
In order to facilitate the integration of IDPs into host communities, educational training for IDPs are held in the oblasts. Training on employment, business relocation, writing grant applications, psychological health and overcoming problems faced by IDPs will be held in Rivne oblast in the near future. Not only local specialists, but also international humanitarian organizations are involved in the events.
The RMA reported that volunteers from Dubno collected waste paper, plastic, and glass and earned over UAH 100K for the needs of the Armed Forces.
Ternopil oblast
The premiere charity screening of the film “Pamfir” took place in Ternopil. This is a 2022 Ukrainian feature film directed by Dmytro Suholytko-Sobchuk. Khmelnytskyi oblast
4 charters of religious communities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the new version, which were transferred to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, were registered. In general, for the period from 24.02 to 31.03, the charters of 170 religious communities of the UOC were registered in the new edition, 139 of which were transferred to the OCU, and 31 – to independent Orthodox communities.
Protesters in Khmelnytskyi collected over 1K votes for the transfer of the Holy Intercession Cathedral from the UOC of the moscow patriarchate to the OCU. The keys to the temple were handed over to the audit commission, which was elected by the townspeople during the meeting. It began to describe the property of the cathedral.
Chernivtsi oblast
In Bukovyna, a project management training was held for IDPs students. The project was implemented by the NGO “Junior Achievement Ukraine”, the “Educational Fund of the Institute of Project Management” (the US) and the Department of Education and Science of the Chernivtsi RMA.
Residents of the village of Romankivtsi bought a car for the needs of one of the military units where their compatriots are currently serving. With the assistance of the Sokyrian City Council, they purchased parts for car repairs and received fuel for transporting an SUV to the war zone.
The RMA reported that a car confiscated by a court decision was sent to the Bukovyna paratroopers from the oblast.
One of the largest boiler plants in Chernivtsi received a 800 kW generator from the French Catholic association L’OEuvre d’Orient.
International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)
Marcin Pshidach, Head of the Office of International Policy of the President of Poland, reported that the country sent several MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine. According to him, the first MiG-29 aircraft are already in Ukraine. And during the visit of Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine, to Poland, scheduled for April 5, the transfer of other aviation units will be discussed.
Norway and Denmark will transfer 8K artillery shells to Ukraine. This assistance will complement Denmark’s decision to transfer 19 Caesar self-propelled howitzers to Ukraine. Artillery shells are taken from military warehouses.

The Rheinmetall company is building a logistics and repair center for Ukrainian weapons in the city of Satu Mari, Romania.
