War in Ukraine today: latest news, 30 May, 2024 (photo)

It has been the 827th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6pm:   

Since the beginning of the day, there have been 84 combat engagements on the frontlines of the russian-Ukrainian war, half of them towards Kurakhove and Pokrovsk. Ukraine’s defence forces are holding back the enemy’s attack and repelling it.

Kupiansk axis: our troops repelled 7 enemy attacks. The battle near Andriivka continues. Also russian terrorists launched new air strikes near Novoosynove (three guided aerial bombs) and Bohuslavka (one unmanned aerial vehicle).

Lyman axis: there were no more combat engagements but the aggressor launched ten UAVs: six bombs near Dronivka and four near Yampil.

Siversk axis: fighting continues near Rozdolivka and Bilohorivka. The enemy dropped four unmanned aerial vehicles on Zakitne village, two more on Siversk, and one guided missile hit Verkhnokamianske.

Kramatorsk axis: there were 9 combat engagements. The defence forces are keeping the russian invaders under fire control and are taking active measures.

Pokrovsk axis: the enemy made 21 attempts to break through our defence lines with the support of aviation. Fighting continues near Sokil (in two areas), Novooleksandrivka and Prohres. The invaders shelled Oleksandropil with five KABs and used another one to attack Niu-York in Donetsk oblast. Umanske and Novoselivka were attacked with unguided aerial missiles, 12 and 11 respectively.

Kurakhove axis: near Krasnohorivka, Ukrainian troops repelled four enemy assaults. In total, russians made 21 attacks.

The enemy’s losses towards Pokrovsk and Kurakhove combined are as follows: 155 russian invaders were killed and 203 injured. Four tanks, seven armoured combat vehicles, five vehicles and one artillery system were destroyed. Two more tanks, three armoured personnel carriers, two cannons and two vehicles were damaged.

Vremivka axis: the enemy fired 12 unguided missiles near Staromaiorsk.

Prydniprovskyi axis: russian invaders attacked by four multiple rocket launchers near Oleshkivski Pisky.

Tetiana Katrychenko, Executive Director of the Media Initiative for Human Rights, reported that there are 31 Ukrainian journalists in russian captivity. In many cases, the fate of these people remains unknown.

The press service of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine confirmed the destruction of two high-speed amphibious assault boats of the russian invaders in the temporarily occupied Crimea. In total, russia’s losses from the attack by Ukrainian Magura V5 strike marine drones amounted to 4 fast transport and Tunets assault boats KS-101.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

As of 10:30am, one russian attack was repelled towards Kharkiv, from Murom to Starytsia, towards Kupiansk, near Stepova Novoselivka, and a battle is ongoing near Petropavlivka.

The press service of the RMA reported that three people, including a child, were injured as a result of russian shelling of Chervona Poliana village in Starovirivka community. According to the press service, the injured refused to be hospitalised and a fire broke out in a private house.

The regional administration informed that at around 8am, russians attacked Ivashky of Zolochiv community using FPV drones, damaging a private house and an outbuilding. According to the administration, two guided aerial bombs hit Yurchenkove today, destroying shops and damaging a private house in Kolodiazne.

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv RMA, said that at 2:24am, russians attacked Mala Danylivka village, Kharkiv region. There were two rocket hits on the territory of the educational institution, which destroyed the building of the horse-racing club. The dormitory building was also partially destroyed. According to Oleksandr Hololobov, Head of the community, the strikes hit infrastructure facilities and a residential area. Rabbits were killed.

At 2:05am, russians attacked Kharkiv. There was a rocket attack on 2 locations. A missile hit the two-storey administrative building of the municipal utility company, causing partial destruction and subsequent fire. 6 women and 1 man sustained light injuries.

In Slobidskyi district of Kharkiv, the russian federation detroyed a heating network building at night. In the morning, workers remove debris and remnants of walls after the shelling. At least four cars and a minibus are damaged by debris after an explosion.

Yesterday at 7:30pm, russians attacked Kurylivka village, Kupiansk region. The shelling damaged a private house, a garage and a fence.

At 4:15pm, russians attacked Ruska Lozova village, Kharkiv region. As a result of the hostile shelling of the village, 7 private houses, a garage and a car were damaged. A man was injured.

At 12:17pm, russians attacked Kolisnykivka village, Kupiansk region. As a result of the shelling, a house and an outbuilding burned down. A woman was injured.

 At 10:30am, russians attacked Bilyi Kolodiaz village, Chuhuiv region. The shelling damaged a private house, a fence and a garage.

There were 7 combat engagements towards Kharkiv. 4 attacks were repelled near Lyptsi village and Vovchansk. Fighting is ongoing in the latter, and the enemy’s attack near Starytsia village continues. The situation is under control.

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy tried 13 times to force our units out of their positions. The fighting took place near Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Novoiehorivka, Druzheliubivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Andriivka and Nevske. No positions were lost. Fighting is currently ongoing in four locations near Petropavlivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Druzheliubivka and Nevske.

A total of 11,293 people have been evacuated from Chuhuiv, Kharkiv and Bohodukhiv regions.

The website of the Hospitaliery battalion informed that yesterday a paramedic and volunteer, Iryna Tsybukh, was killed during a rotation in Kharkiv. Before the full-scale invasion, she was implementing educational projects in remote villages in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts. At the beginning of the invasion, Iryna took up the position of senior crew member in the Hospitaliery.  Recently, Cheka was a guest of Kramatorsk Station programme, where she said that she had long accepted the fact that she would soon die in the war.

Viacheslav Zadorenko, Head of Derhachi CMA, reported that the issue of restoring Derhachi Children’s and Youth Horse-Riding School, which was destroyed by russian forces last night, is not yet on the agenda. According to him, the institution also worked to rehabilitate children who survived the occupation. The horses from the school were evacuated to Chernihiv oblast before the attack

Donetsk oblast

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that russian troops have intensified their activity towards Toretsk, with fighting continuing near Kurdiumivka.  Towards Pokrovsk, the enemy losses since the beginning of the day are as follows: 77 servicemen killed and injured, two tanks and four armoured vehicles destroyed.

Yesterday police recorded 2103 attacks. Also russian troops dropped 6 aerial bombs on residential areas and fired artillery.

The enemy attacked 9 settlements: Hirnyk, Kurakhove, Lyman, Siversk, Toretsk cities, Vodiane Druhe, Druzhba, Nelipivka and Ostrivske villages.

21 civilian objects were damaged, including 16 residential buildings, a hospital, a church, an educational institution, an express delivery service branch and an administrative building.

The enemy launched 5 airstrikes on Lyman in 15 minutes, using a Grom-E1 missile (bomb) and four D-30 SM air bombs. 8 civilians were injured, 3 apartment buildings, a medical facility, a religious building and a building of an express delivery service destroyed.

The invaders dropped a KAB-250 guided bomb on Nelipivka, damaging 6 private houses.

3 apartment buildings in Hirnyk, and a private house, an administrative building and an educational institution in Siversk were damaged by artillery shelling.

In Lyman community, 3 settlements out of 40 were not under russian occupation in 2022. This was the second time that Lyman was occupied: in 2014, the town was also under the control of russian forces. Until 24 February 2022, 43,000 people lived in Lyman community and less than 10,000 remain today.

Luhansk oblast

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, bread and food packages were brought to the residents of Nevske and Novoliubivka yesterday. The contact line is very close. The same villages were shelled by russians yesterday by cannon and rocket artillery. Makiivka, where the locals also remain, and Stelmakhivka were under enemy attack. The enemy tried to force our units out of their positions near Stelmakhivka, Novoiehorivka, Andriivka and Nevske. The invaders once again stormed Serebrianka forestry and Bilohorivka.

A state of emergency was declared in the so-called “lpr” due to the death of crops caused by the May frosts, when temperatures ranging from minus 0.4 to minus 5.9 degrees were recorded in the air and on the soil surface. The invaders report about 7% of their crops were lost due to bad weather. Farmers complain of much greater losses, which is why an emergency has been declared.

In Luhansk, the invaders held a forum called “History for the Future. russian Spring”, organised by the russian Ministry of Education and the Military History Society. During the event, the participants were repeatedly reminded of the importance of not studying history, but rather of presenting it correctly to the younger generation, using technology. They talked about the single logic of non-stop russian history, which should be included in every textbook rewritten by the invaders.

In the summer, 44 children from Novopskov community will be able to rest and improve their health for 14 days. The local military administration signed an agreement with the Karpatski Zori Sanatorium LLC (Kosiv, Ivano-Frankivsk oblast) for UAH 203,000 to purchase an additional 10 children’s vouchers.  Prior to that, 34 children’s vouchers for August 2024 were purchased to the Artek-Prykarpattia institution (Truskavets, Lviv oblast). UAH 514,080 was allocated from the community budget for this purpose.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Kyiv City State Administration announced that Kyiv City Council plans to adopt a mechanism of financial and credit support for small and medium-sized businesses operating in the field of manufacturing and repairing unmanned aerial vehicles.

The RMA reported about the overhaul of a multi-storey building on Nove Shose street, which was heavily damaged during active hostilities in Bucha. The repair work began in autumn 2023. The building is expected to have its damaged elements restored, facade insulated and renovated, and a new roof installed.

Representatives of the French Ministry of Social Policy and Health visited the first Resilience Centre in Kyiv oblast, located in Bucha. According to the city council, this specialised facility aims to help residents who have experienced traumatic events to process their traumatic events and restore their psychological state.

Kyiv Metro Utility Company informed that Kyiv will increase the subway traffic intervals due to an acute shortage of specialists caused by forced migration, specifics of the profession and mobilisation.

The Ukrainian Women’s Guard plans to start regular group and individual foreign language lessons in June 2024. These lessons in Borodianka Hab will become a permanent tradition where everyone can find new friends, interesting interlocutors and an unforgettable immersion in the language environment. The first trial English lessons for children and adults were held this week.

A physiotherapy room has been opened in the village of Medvyn in Kyiv oblast. The community has received modern equipment and a well-arranged room for new medical services thanks to cooperation with French partners, the French National Federation of Civil Protection, under the support of local entrepreneurs and farmers.

Ukrzaliznytsia received the first batch of 25,000 tonnes of rails from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The new rails will be laid on the Kyiv-Lviv, Kyiv-Odesa, Kyiv-Uzhhorod and Kyiv-Dnipro routes. The transfer took place under the Emergency Recovery Programme of the Japanese government.

The Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine held a summit in Kyiv entitled “Veteran’s Path from Military Service to Civilian Life”. The key areas of support for veterans were discussed, including the development of modern veterans’ spaces, professional development, and the creation of new opportunities for self-realisation and employment.

Zhytomyr oblast

Vitalii Bunechko, Head of the RMA, reported that one of the enemy’s air targets was destroyed during an air raid over Zhytomyr oblast at night.

In Khoroshiv community, under a memorandum of cooperation with UNICEF, a shelter was repaired in a kindergarten with 230 children.The partners allocated UAH 2.5m for this purpose. In addition, A modern modular boiler room was installed in the local hospital in Khoroshiv in cooperation with UNICEF.

The RMA informed that conscious and patriotic young people aged 14 to 18 are invited to take part in a training course in Zhytomyr oblast, which will take place on 1-2 June 2024.The purpose of the event is to prepare young people to defend the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine, to form a positive motivation for a healthy lifestyle, and to promote the full physical and moral development of young people.

Sumy oblast

Krasnopillia and Esman communities were shelled at night and in the morning. The russian military carried out two attacks – 6 mortar attacks were recorded. According to the RMA, the russian military attacked Sumy oblast 17 times over the past day. A total of 68 attacks from various types of weapons were recorded. Krasnopillia, Myropillia, Esman, Seredyna-Buda, Shalyhyne, Druzhbivka, Putyvl, Velyka Pysarivka communities were shelled.

The RMA also reported that as a result of a rocket attack on Krasnopillia community on 29 May, 2 people were killed and 5 wounded. One person was wounded as a result of mortar shelling of Seredyna-Buda community.

In Sumy oblast, social and legal support centres for family members of military personnel called up for military service during mobilisation were established on the basis of administrative service centres, city, town and village councils in the communities and 3 regional state administrations.

The RMA announced that the communities of Romny, Krolevets and Okhtyrka in Sumy oblast received electric vehicles for the work of medical personnel. The cars were purchased as part of the joint project of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the World Bank HEAL UKRAINE. They are intended for visits by primary care doctors and nurses to patients in towns and villages of remote communities in oblast.

The Okhtyrka City Council reported that partners from Denmark are helping to reconstruct the roofs of residential buildings damaged by russian aggression.  The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is assisting in the reconstruction. 

Chernihiv oblast

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported that over the past day, russian troops attacked four border villages in Chernihiv oblast with various types of weapons. A total of 32 explosions were recorded on the territory of Semenivka, Snovsk and Horodnia communities.

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the RMA, announced that Chernihiv RMA and the Solidarity Mission Charitable Organisation had signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. According to him, the charity foundation has been working in the region for about a year now, providing professional psychological assistance to civilians and the military, targeted help and humanitarian support. The clinic specialising in plastic and reconstructive surgery and general rehabilitation located in Mykhailo-Kotsiubynske community will be the largest project of cooperation.

Chernihiv oblast received a unique medical vehicle from the Canada-Ukraine Foundation. The vehicle is specially designed to transport seriously ill patients and is fully equipped with the necessary medical equipment. 

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, reported that 7 enemy Shahed drones were shot down over Dnipro oblast, in Dniprovskyi, Kryvyi Rih, Synelnykove and Pavlohrad regions. In Dniprovske, a private house and a power line were damaged by falling debris. The enemy continued to attack Nikopol region. In the evening, they shelled Chervonohryhorivka community with artillery, and in the morning they launched 3 kamikaze drones at Nikopol, and another one was sent to Marhanets community. 

The attacks in Nikopol region do not stop. The occupiers attacked the area almost two dozen times during the day. Region’s centre, Pokrovsk, Myrove, Chervonohryhorivka, and Marhanets communities were attacked with kamikaze drones and artillery. Residential buildings and outbuildings were damaged, and a fire broke out at an enterprise, which was quickly extinguished. Four trucks, an infrastructure facility, a gas pipeline, and power lines were hit.

Vinnytsia oblast

​​The National Guard of the 14th Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine “Chervona Kalyna” working on the southern borders and the Special Forces soldiers defending Kharkiv oblast received the following equipment from Vinnytsia oblast: 300 FPV drones, 8 Mavic-3T night drones, a fuel tanker and 50,000 dry showers. 

For the fourth time, a Bagi-Fest charity festival was held in Pohrebyshche, Vinnytsia oblast. The event was organised by the charity organisation Berehynia Krainy (Keeper of the Country). The event raised UAH 483,000. These funds will be used to manufacture evacuation buggies for the Ukrainian military.

A project for the rehabilitation and socialisation of wounded soldiers through sports has been launched in Vinnytsia. The defenders who lost their limbs will be practising judo and sambo once a week with professional coaches under the supervision of doctors.

Poltava oblast

Filip Pronin, Head of the RMA, reported that Poltava oblast, together with volunteers and representatives of Novoselivka community, donated an ambulance and generators for the needs of the military. 

Cherkasy oblast

Ihor Taburets, Head of the RMA, reported that the defenders destroyed an enemy UAV in Cherkasy oblast at night.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Last night, russian forces launched a combined attack on Ukrainian cities using cruise missiles and UAVs. Air defence forces in Zaporizhzhia oblast engaged these attacking drones, destroying 5 Shahed drones.

Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia RMA, reported that on 29 May, russian forces struck Zaporizhzhia oblast 379 times. 8 settlements in the oblast came under enemy attack. 

A total of 154 UAVs of various types attacked Huliaipole, Levadne, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka and Novoandriivka. 4 MLRS attacks targeted Robotyne and Huliaipole. 

Also, there were 221 artillery strikes in Huliaipole, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, Robotyne, Levadne, Malynivka, Mali Shcherbaky and Nesterianka. 6 reports of residential destruction were received, but no civilian casualties were reported.

Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia RMA, highlighted that, 2 to 3 weeks ago, russian occupying forces carried out 200-250 daily strikes on frontline settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. Now, the number of daily strikes has increased to 400. Weekly reports detail civilian casualties and daily there are dozens of destroyed homes and structures.

On 30 May, National Resistance Centre reported that in the temporarily occupied part of Zaporizhzhia oblast, the invaders are forcing men aged 60 to 65 to sign contracts with the russian army, assuring them they would serve in rear units.

Zaporizhzhia oblast received another batch of humanitarian aid from the German Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW). The shipment includes trucks, minibuses, mini-excavators, concrete mixers and tool kits for repair and restoration work. This equipment will help local utility services address issues caused by enemy shelling more quickly and efficiently, ensuring the rapid restoration of normal infrastructure functionality. According to specialists, Zaporizhzhia oblast has already received over 100 equipment items from THW, including generators, stoves, vehicles and tools.

Mykolaiv oblast

According to the information provided in the morning briefing by Mykolaiv RMA, on 29 May, at 1:28pm, and on 30 May at 2:53am, the enemy conducted artillery shelling on the waters of Ochakiv community. Also, on 30 May at 2:33am, there was artillery shelling on the waters of Ochakiv city. There were no casualties reported.

Odesa oblast

The Public Relations Service of the Air Command South reported that on the night of 30 May, Ukrainian air defence forces shot down 3 Shahed-136/131 drones, one each in Odesa, Kherson and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts. The enemy continues to terrorise the southern oblasts with missile attacks. On the evening of 29 May, a ballistic missile (likely Iskander-M) was launched from Crimea targeting the coastal area of Odesa.

The Ukrainian Navy informed that as of 30 May, there is 1 russian ship in the Black Sea, but it is not equipped with Kalibr missiles. The enemy has moved its missile carriers back to the Mediterranean Sea. However, the threat of missile strikes remains high, as the russians can launch attacks even from their military ports.

According to Odesa RMA, a Swedish delegation, led by Peter Sandwall, State Secretary of the Ministry of Defence and Jan Knutsson, State Secretary for Foreign Affairs, arrived in Odesa. Oleh Kiper, Head of Odesa RMA, informed the Swedish State Secretaries about the security situation in the oblast and the Black Sea. Sweden has promised to help protect the skies over Ukraine and assist with the demining of the sea.

Kherson oblast

Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson RMA, reported that on the night of 30 May, Ukrainian air defence forces destroyed one Shahed-131/136 drone over Kherson. 

On 29 May, russian forces attacked the liberated right bank of Kherson oblast by artillery, mortars and UAVs.

Kherson, Antonivka, Prydniprovske, Novodmytrivka, Dniprovske, Oleksandrivka, Sadove, Beryslav, Mykhailivka, Chervonyi Maiak and Zmiivka were under enemy attack. The police recorded damage to private houses and a car.

The russian troops shelled Veletenske of Bilozirka community, wounding a resident who was on the street. Despite being immediately taken to hospital, he died of his injuries on the way.

During the day, russian forces dropped an explosive from a drone on civilians in Novodmytrivka, causing concussions and abrasions to 2 men aged 27 and 50 and damaging their car.

A drone attack on Dniprovske resulted in severe injuries to a 59-year-old man, including gunshot wounds to the torso and limbs, traumatic shock and traumatic amputation of part of his arm. Medical professionals are fighting for his life.

The russian drones also attacked Antonivka. In the evening, russian forces dropped 4 explosive devices on a residential area, injuring a 61-year-old man. He was diagnosed with blast trauma and shrapnel wounds to the chest. A residential house was also damaged.

Around midnight, the russian army shelled Bilozirka, injuring 2 women aged 71 and 85. Both suffered concussions, blast injuries and head trauma. Shelling damaged 2 houses in the village.

Explosions were heard throughout the day in Kherson, with Dniprovskyi and Korabelnyi districts under artillery attack.

Dmytro Pletenchuk, Spokesperson for Operational Command South, reported that russian forces resumed attacks on Nestriha Island after a long pause. The enemy had been accumulating forces for another escalation, likely linked to the upcoming Peace Summit, a typical geopolitical tactic for russia. The occupiers conducted 19 assaults in the south, including 12 in Orikhiv axis near Staromaiorske, 6 near Krynky, where Ukrainian forces hold a bridgehead and 1 on Nestriha Island.

According to Kherson RMA, Kherson oblast received 3 Class C ambulances from the Canada-Ukraine Foundation. These 2023 Ford Transit vehicles are specially equipped to transport critically injured patients.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

The RMA held a coordination meeting of the protection cluster, which is co-coordinated by the UNHCR together with the Right to Protection CF. They discussed changes in aid payments to IDPs, the provision of humanitarian aid, the availability of places to live in the oblast for displaced persons and the current situation in Volyn oblast regarding work with forcibly evacuated people.

Lutsk City Council reported that the community sent a Bravery-R unmanned aircraft complex, which consists of 3 aircraft, a launcher and other auxiliary components to the A 4714 Military Unit.

Zakarpattia oblast

28 children went on vacation to the Czech Republic. Their parents were killed during the war, defending Ukraine. The two-week vacation 14 Days Without War for children was organised by Zakarpattia Regional Council and Martin Chervicek, Hetman of the Kralovo-Hradec Krai, as part of the annual cooperation between regions.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Ivano-Frankivsk City Council reported that annotation boards for 9 Heroes who were killed in the war were opened on the facade of the Scientific, Physical and Technical Lyceum in Uhornyk.

Lviv oblast

On 29 May, during a rotation in Kharkiv oblast, a 25-year-old medic of Hospitaliers Iryna Tsybukh (Cheka) was killed. Iryna was from Lviv. She worked as a journalist. Taught media literacy. Since 2014, she has regularly travelled to the front lines with the Hospitaliers volunteer battalion. She helped evacuate wounded soldiers from the hottest spots.

UAH 60,000 were collected at a charity auction in Zimnovodovsk community. A fair dedicated to Heroes’ Day was held in the village of Suhovolia. Also, organisers created a photo zone from things that volunteers give to military personnel, where those willing could take pictures.

Lviv received the 1st of the batch of donated KT4D trams from Berlin. A 2nd wagon should be delivered to the depot in the near future. They will be able to go on the routes approximately in July this year.

Rivne oblast

Rivne region will receive evacuated residents of Donetsk region. Children and families with children will be evacuated first. The first train with forced migrants will arrive in the Rivne region already at the beginning of June.

The doctors of Mlynivsk Primary School received an electric car. The MG4 Electric passenger car, worth about UAH 1 million, was purchased within the scope of the Global Fund Grant Agreement (Strengthening the Health Care and Life Preservation System project) between Ukraine and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

Ternopil oblast

Ternopil City Council reported that 9 defenders from the city will receive one-time cash assistance for treatment and rehabilitation in the amount of UAH 10,000. 37 military personnel have already received such assistance.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

At night, the enemy attacked Khmelnytskyi with drones and rockets. Within the oblast, the air defence forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed more than 10 enemy targets. Due to an enemy attack, the electricity supply was partially cut off in one of the cities of the oblast. All relevant services are working, measures are being taken to restore electricity. There was no information about injured people and damage to property.

Khmelnytskyi community sent 16 DJI MAVIC 3T Thermal quadcopters and 60 additional batteries for those quadcopters that were sent earlier, worth UAH 3,5m to the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

Chernivtsi oblast

In the first quarter of 2024, Verenchansk community allocated almost UAH 2,5m for various needs related to the protection of Ukraine and support for those who need it most. Specifically, UAH 100,000 was allocated for the purchase of quadcopters to the A 3113 Military Unit of the National Guard of Ukraine. And to the A4069 Military Unit, UAH 758,200 was allocated to the support complex.

Laurinas Kaschyunas, Minister of Defense of Lithuania, announced that the country will allocate €13.5m for the purchase of air surveillance radars for Ukraine. This year, they plan to send 4 such radars.

Melanie Joly, Head of the Foreign Ministry of Canada, stated that Ukraine can use the weapons provided by it without restrictions.

Lars Lucke Rasmussen, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, announced that the country allows Ukraine to strike targets in russia with Danish F-16s.

Elina Valtonen, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland, reported that the country allowed Ukraine to strike the territory of the russian federation with its weapons. Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Estonia and the Czech Republic also granted permission to use their weapons outside of Ukraine.

Lithuania will provide Ukraine with €5m to restore schools and kindergartens. The allocated funds will be directed to the restoration of damaged educational institutions, the purchase of teaching aids and computer equipment, as well as the arrangement of shelters.

Canadians donated funds for Ukraine, with which they managed to purchase 10 ambulances, equipped with everything necessary. The Canadian-Ukrainian Foundation donated the first six of them.

The President’s Office held a meeting with Wally Adejemo, US Deputy Treasury Secretary. They discussed US support for Ukraine, steps to strengthen sanctions against russia and the implementation of reforms.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, had a phone conversation with Antonio Guterres, UN Secretary General. They discussed the Peace Formula and the Peace Summit.

Hanno Pevkur, Minister of Defense of Estonia, announced that the country proposed to increase the number of Ukrainian military personnel trained in the EU to 100,000.
