It has been the 800th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

On 3 May, there were 97 tactical engagements.

The russian army launched a total of 2 missile and 65 air strikes, and 12 MLRS attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Unfortunately, the russian terrorist attacks killed and wounded civilians. Residential apartment blocks and private houses, as well as other infrastructure, got destroyed and damaged.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, there were no significant changes. No signs of an offensive group formed were found.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the russian army maintains its military presence in the areas bordering Ukraine. The enemy conducts subversion, continues shelling of Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increases the concentration of mining operations along the state border of Ukraine. The enemy launched an airstrike in the vicinity of Baranivka (Sumy oblast). More than 20 settlements, specifically Liskivshchyna, Kliusy, Karpovychi (Chernihiv oblast), Seredyna-Buda, Vyshenky, Mohrytsya, Voronivka (Sumy oblast), Strilecha, Lukiantsi, and Vovchansk (Kharkiv oblast), came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Kupiansk and Lyman, Ukrainian defenders repelled 6 attacks in the vicinities of Petropavlivka, Kyslivka (Kharkiv oblast), Andriivka, and Stelmakhivka (Luhansk oblast). The russian army launched an airstrike in the vicinity of Borova (Kharkiv oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 10 settlements, specifically Synkivka, Stepova Novoselivka, and Kotliarivka (Kharkiv oblast).

Towards Lyman, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 7 attacks, supported by enemy air strikes, in the vicinities of Makiivka, Nevske, Serebrianka forestry (Luhansk oblast), Terny, and Torske (Donetsk oblast). The occupiers launched an airstrike in the vicinity of Spirne (Donetsk oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 10 settlements, specifically Makiivka, Nevske (Luhansk oblast), Terny, and Yampolivka (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Bakhmut, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 14 attacks in the vicinities of Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Novyi, Klishchiivka, and Andriivka (Donetsk oblast), where the enemy, using air attacks, attempted to improve its tactical position. The invaders launched airstrikes in the vicinities of Verkhnokamianske, Spirne, Ivano-Darivka and Niu-York (Donetsk oblast). More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, specifically Rozdolivka, Kalynivka, Chasiv Yar, and Andriivka (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Avdiivka, Ukrainian defenders repelled 28 attacks in the vicinities of Arkhanhelske, Novooleksandrivka, Sokil, Novopokrovske, Umanske, Netailove and west of Semenivka (Donetsk oblast), where the enemy, with air support, made attempts to dislodge Ukrainian troops from their positions. The russian army launched airstrikes in the vicinities of Vovche, Kalynove, Zhelanne, Vesele, Novoselivka Persha, Komyshivka, and Karlivka (Donetsk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at more than 15 settlements, specifically Novooleksandrivka, Sokil, Umanske, and Yasnobrodivka (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Novopavlivka, Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Paraskoviivka and Vodiane (Donetsk oblast), where the invaders made 12 attempts to breach Ukrainian defense. The invaders launched airstrikes in the vicinities of Bohoiavlenka and Yevhenivka (Donetsk oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 10 settlements, specifically Krasnohorivka, Paraskoviivka, and Kostiantynivka (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Orikhiv, the enemy, using air attacks, launched 5 assaults on positions of Ukrainian defenders in the vicinities of Staromaiorske (Donetsk oblast) and Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia oblast). Around 15 settlements, specifically Malynivka, Chervone, Bilohiria, Robotyne, and Shcherbaky (Zaporizhzhia oblast), were under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.

Towards Kherson, the enemy has not abandoned its intention to dislodge Ukrainian troops from their bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro River. In particular, the invaders, with air support, launched 6 unsuccessful assaults on positions of Ukrainian troops in the vicinity of Krynky (Kherson oblast). The occupiers fired artillery and mortars at around 20 settlements, specifically Olhivka, Lvove, Tiahynka, and Tokarivka (Kherson oblast).

The Ukrainian Air Force launched airstrikes on 13 buildups of enemy troops, 3 command posts, meanwhile Rocket Forces hit 1 command post of the enemy.

Ilia Yevlash, Spokesman of the Air Force, informs that F-16 fighter jets can work in tandem with old Ukrainian aviation. Previously, such tandems have already been successfully practiced during the exercises. 

According to the Language Ombudsman’s annual report, in Ukraine, the dominance of the state language in social networks has been recorded. From October 2020 to October 2023, Ukrainian language became noticeably dominant on almost all of the most popular social media platforms.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

in an interview with The Economist, Vadym Skibitskyi, Deputy Chief of Ukrainian Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, said that russia is preparing for an offensive around Kharkiv and Sumy oblasts in the northeast. According to him, the russian group, which is based on the border with Kharkiv, currently numbers 35,000 fighters, but it is planned to increase it to 50-70,000. Skibitskyi is sure that this is not enough to capture a big city.

Lieutenant General Oleksandr Pavliuk, Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said in an interview with The Times, that russia does have a plan for the possible capture of Kharkiv and Sumy, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine do not know how serious these plans are and whether the russians can implement them.

Commenting on the statements of representatives of intelligence and the Ground Forces about the plans of possible russian offensives in Kharkiv oblast, Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, said that the forces that the russians have now are not enough to open a new front line. But he noted that towards Kupiansk, russians  strengthened their positions with equipment and manpower, including former prisoners, and resumed assaults.

According to the East Air Command, a russian reconnaissance UAV, presumably a Supercam, was destroyed towards Kharkiv.

At 12:08pm, the occupiers hit Chuhuiv, damaging civilian infrastructure. According to Volodymyr Tymoshko, Head of Kharkiv oblast police, russians hit Chuhuiv several times during the day. Two Tornado-S missiles landed in the area of the railway station in Chuhuiv at 11:30-11:45, and in about 40 minutes there were new strikes. Three people wounded as a result of a double attack were hospitalized. In particular, two men aged 46 and 35 were diagnosed with explosive and shrapnel injuries. The russians struck with two Tornado-S and S-300 missiles. Buildings, an apartment building, and two cars were damaged.

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the Regional Military Administration, says that there were strikes on  Kholodna Hora district of Kharkiv . The private sector was hit – 3 houses were destroyed, and 12 damaged. An 82-year-old woman who was bedridden for 8 years as a result of a stroke died. A 66-year-old man was injured by the blast wave, and a 78-year-old man suffered an acute stress reaction. The blast wave hit a tram that was running nearby – no casualties.

There were no strikes on the city of Kharkiv. 

Approximately 15 settlements of Kharkiv oblast were hit by enemy artillery and mortar strikes: Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Kotliarivka and others. The settlements of Derhachi, Lyptsi, and Rublene were hit by airstrikes. 

At 7:00pm, a 66-year-old man was killed on the territory of a private household in the village of Novoosynove, Kupiansk region.

At 4:30pm, 5 private houses were damaged as a result of shelling in the village of Lyptsi, Kharkiv region. 

At 4:02pm, enemy KABs hit the city of Derhachi. 8 children were injured, as well as a 75-year-old man.

At 12:33pm, the village of Ostroverkhivka, Chuhuiv region, and a farm were damaged. 2 outbuildings that are not in operation, a hangar, and 3 outbuildings were on fire.

At 11:30am, a 66-year-old man was injured as a result of shelling in the village of Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi.

At 10:00am, a car with a trailer was damaged as a result of shelling of the village of Kucherivka, Kupiansk region.

Towards Kupiansk, Ukrainian troops repelled 12 attacks, specifically near Novoiehorivka, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Kislivka, and Berestove.

In Kharkiv oblast, combined groups of pyrotechnicians cleared 38.5 hectares of territory and destroyed 775 explosive ordnance.

Donetsk oblast

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that on May 2, the Ukrainian military repelled 117 attacks by russian occupation forces on the fronts of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia oblasts. 15 settlements of Donetsk oblast came under airstrikes.

Nazar Voloshyn, Spokesman for Khortytsia Joint Task Force, and Yurii Fedorenko, Commander of the Akhilles strike UAV battalion of the 92nd Assault Brigade, reports that the Russian military is trying to reach Pokrovsk-Kostiantynivka highway from Ocheretyne. At the same time, the Defense Forces managed to dislodge the russian army from some positions.

The regional Prosecutor’s Office said that one person was killed on the street in the city of Chasiv Yar in Donetsk oblast from an FPV drone attack, and two more citizens were injured on May 3. Also, as a result of artillery shelling, a 71-year-old resident of the village of Netailove of Ocheretyne community was hospitalized with a shrapnel wound.

Operational situation in the oblast as of the morning of May 3:

Volnovakha region. A person was injured in Velyka Novosilka. In Vuhledar community, Novoukrainka was shelled.

Pokrovsky region. A person was injured in Krasnohorivka. In Kurakhove community, Kurakhove and Hanivka are under fire. In Memryk, Novohrodivka community, 2 people were killed and 2 wounded, 7 houses damaged. 

Kramatorsk region. In Ridkodub of Lyman community, a house was destroyed and 2 more damaged. In Raihorodok, Mykolaivka community, a house was damaged. In Kostiantynivka, 5 houses and 2 infrastructure facilities were damaged. In Mykolaivka, an administrative building was damaged. 

Bakhmut region. A house was damaged in Siversk.

In total, russians shelled the settlements of Donetsk oblast 16 times. 236 people, including 32 children, were evacuated from the front line.

 Vadym Filashkin, Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, informs that over the past day, the russians killed 2 residents of Donetsk oblast in Memryk. Another 4 people in the oblast were injured.

Luhansk oblast

As in recent days, the enemy remains active in each of the three sections of the front, trying to storm near Stelmakhivka, Hrekivka, Nevske, Bilohorivka, in Serebrianka forest. The defense forces are repelling the tussian invasion. Our settlements are under constant fire. Also, Makiivka and Kuzemivka came under artillery fire.

The occupiers tried to inflict drone damage in Nevske, Kuzemivka, and Hrekivka.

On 2 May, food kits, bread, and Easter goodies were delivered to the liberated settlements. A 69-year-old resident of Makiivka agreed to be evacuated. Representatives of Krasnorichensk Military Administration keep in touch with her. If necessary, they will provide the necessary assistance.

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, at the entrance to Rubizhne and throughout the city, men are checked for a mark of military registration. The invaders also found an additional reason for mobilization – they hand out summonses to those who do not have military service.

Referring to Artem Lysohor, Head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration, for more than two years, residents of Novopskov region have been complaining about the lack of regular transportation across the community. At the beginning of 2024, the occupation authorities finally allocated two buses, which, in their opinion, were supposed to provide transport links between many settlements. Four months have passed since then, and these buses have not been on the route.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

According to Kyiv RMA, explosive ordnance disposal will take place in Bucha region. Experts from the State Emergency Service will carry out explosive work near one of the settlements.

Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko will attend the European mayors summit at the invitation of the French mayor Anne Hidalgo. This year’s event will take place on 3-4 May in Paris and is dedicated to Europe Day. For Kyiv, participation in the event is an opportunity to emphasize the need to increase military and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine and its capital.

Bucha city council announced sending kamikaze drones and equipment to the frontline. The children of the community’s educational institutions raised money for 11 drones for Ukrainian defenders. The new drones were delivered to the aerial reconnaissance brigade Burevii of the National Guard of Ukraine.

Kristo Enn Vaga, the National Defense Commission member of the Estonian Parliament and the Ukraine-Estonia Parliamentary Group, arrived in Kyiv, cycling from Tallinn as part of the Ride for Victory. Tallinn to Kyiv project to support Ukraine and raise money for AFU needs. Kristo managed to collect more than €30,000 for  FPV drones purchase.

Iryna Zakharchenko, Acting Head of the village, informed that residents of the Swiss town of Kloten raised UAH 1m for the Pinocchio kindergarten in Borodianka. The money will be used to purchase new equipment.

Kyiv City State Administration reported that the old name Friendship of Nations was removed from the track walls at the Zvirynetska metro station in Kyiv and two sets of new ones were installed. Zvirynets is a historical area known since the times of Kyivan Rus between Pechersk, Vydubychi, Telychka, and Chorna Hora. The font’s author, designer Bohdan Hdal, incorporated the historical context into the letters’ design.

Zhytomyr oblast

Zhytomyr oblast received representatives of three Ukrainian ministries on a working visit: The Ministry of Veterans Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, and the Ministry of Digital Transformation. The meeting addressed the topics of the new veterans’ policy implementation in the regions. During the meeting, a Memorandum of Partnership and Cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine and Zhytomyr RMA.

Zhytomyr RMA reported that nearly 500 police officers will ensure law, order and security on the religious buildings’ territory and nearby during the festive services. Law enforcement officials urge not to violate the restrictions imposed by the curfew and to follow safety rules.

Korosten City Community was among the winners of the competitive selection under the Energy Efficiency of Public Buildings in Ukraine program. The program is administered by the Ministry of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine to finance the repair of war damage and the introduction of renewable energy sources in public buildings throughout Ukraine.

Zhytomyr became the 14th city to present the photo exhibition “Azov Regiment – Angels of Mariupol”. On 2 May, more than 200 portraits and autobiographies of Azov regiment soldiers were exhibited in one of the halls of Zhytomyr Regional Museum of Local Lore.

On 1 May, Zhytomyr hosted a race  dedicated to the 10th anniversary of civil-military cooperation in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The event aimed to engage participants in recreational physical activity under martial law.

Sumy oblast

Sumy RMA reported that at night and in the morning, russians attacked Sumy oblast’s border areas eight times with a total of 43 explosions recorded. Khotin, Myropillia, Krasnopillia, Esman and Seredyna-Buda communities were shelled.

Over the past day, the russian military fired 40 times in Sumy oblast, with a total of 215 explosions recorded. 9 communities of the region were shelled, specifically Mykolayivka, Khotin, Myropillia, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Nova Sloboda, Esman, and Seredyna-Buda. The enemy attacked with mortars (49 strikes), artillery (130 strikes), a tank (5 strikes), AGS (10 strikes), attacked with FPV drones (15 strikes), dropped VOG from UAVs (2 strikes), and launched NAR missiles from an airplane (4 strikes).

Sumy police informed that russian attacks on 2 May damaged 11 private households, a hospital, two cars, an outbuilding, and a non-residential building. 

According to the City Council, an electronic queue for applications for the status of a child affected by hostilities and armed conflicts has been operating in Sumy since 1 May. So far, 5,642 children from Sumy community have received this status.

Sumy Regional Medical Center has received an up-to-date mobile medical unit from international and Ukrainian donors. It would work in the communities of Sumy oblast along with a mobile laboratory and a gynecological office.

Chernihiv oblast

According to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, there were 11 attacks on the border area of Chernihiv oblast with a total of 54 explosions recorded. Novhorod-Siversk, Semenivka, and Snovsk communities were under enemy fire – mortar shelling, automatic grenade launchers, FPV drone strikes, and the launch of NAR from an aircraft.

Since last autumn, Talalai Lyceum of the Nizhyn region has been undergoing reconstruction at the expense of the Fund for Eliminating Armed Aggression Consequences. The facility was damaged during active hostilities in March 2022. Work at the lyceum is at the final stage, the contractor promises to complete it in May.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Obñast Council, reported that the enemy launched a rocket attack on Kryvyi Rih region. The occupiers also attacked Nikopol region, launching a kamikaze drone at the region’s centre and shelling Chervonohryhorivka community with artillery, and sending drones to Nikopol and Marhanets community in the morning.  

A local resident was injured as a result of enemy attacks on Nikopol. A 44-year-old man was wounded as a result of a drone strike. He was hospitalized and provided with the necessary assistance. In total, there were 11 attacks on Nikopol region during the day, the occupiers launching kamikaze drones and more than three dozen artillery shells. The region’s centre, Myrove and Pokrovsk communities were hit. 13 private houses, a medical facility, 5 outbuildings were damaged, one was destroyed, a car and power lines were hit.

Vinnytsia oblast

​​Students and teachers of the Luka-Meleshkivsky Lyceum in Vinnytsia oblast raised UAH 11,000 for a drone for the 59th Infantry Brigade named after Yakiv Handziuk, which was presented during the quest “Easter is a time of good deeds”.

Kirovohrad oblast

Andrii Raikovych, Head of Kirovohrad RMA, reported that infrastructure facilities and private houses were damaged as a result of a rocket attack in Kropyvnytskyi region. A man born in 1952 was seriously wounded and hospitalized. 

An Easter fair was held in Kropyvnytskyi, where food was sold for the Easter table and to raise money for the needs of the Armed Forces.  During the 7 hours of the fair, Together We Are Strong and Dobromyr NGOs, raised almost UAH 26,000.

Poltava oblast

In Poltava, residents paid tribute to sniper Oleksandr Krainyi. Oleksandr voluntarily joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine in May 2022. He served as a sniper with the 95th separate airborne assault brigade.

Filip Pronin, Head of Poltava Regional Military Administration, says that international partners will help to fully restore a house that was heavily damaged by an enemy attack in the Poltava community. It is known that an agreement was reached with representatives of the UN Refugee Agency to provide construction materials to repair the roof, walls and ceiling, as well as windows and doors.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

On 2 May, the enemy launched 349 strikes on 8 populated areas in Zaporizhzhia oblast. The enemy conducted an aviation strike on Novoandriivka. 144 UAVs attacked Komyshuvakha, Huliaipole, Levadne, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, and Novoandriivka. 11 MLRS strikes targeted Mala Tokmachka and Robotyne. There were 193 artillery strikes on the territory of Orikhiv, Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, Levadne and Malynivka. 17 reports of housing damage were received.

The South Operational Command reported that the occupiers carried out 2 assaults towards Orikhiv: 1 in the vicinity of Staromaiorske and 1 near Robotyne.

Fighters of the Special Operations Unit of the Chief Intelligence Directorate, together with HIMARS operators, detected and destroyed a launcher of the Tor anti-aircraft missile system towards Zaporizhzhia.

The air defense forces of Ukraine destroyed a russian reconnaissance drone over Zaporizhzhia oblast. Aerial reconnaissance specialists from the 23rd Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine Khortytsia destroyed the russian radio-electronic warfare station Stryzh. In total, five russian radio-electronic warfare systems were destroyed this week on the southern front.

Charges were brought in absentia against two russian citizens, leaders of a pseudo-law enforcement agency, for violating the laws and customs of war. According to the investigation, the leaders of the occupation “main department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Zaporizhzhia oblast” and “migration service department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Zaporizhzhia oblast” systematically organize the illegal deportation of pro-Ukrainian local residents from the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine.

Zaporizhzhia RMA and the international organization CIVIC are implementing the project “Reducing harm to the civilian population in Ukraine through cooperation with communities and strengthening civil-military cooperation.” CIVIC is already working with Shyroke, Vilniansk, Matviivka, Pavlivka, and Mykhailivka communities. CIVIC representatives collect the best practices for protecting the civilian population and disseminate them among military and civilian personnel.

Mykolaiv oblast

On 2 May, the enemy carried out artillery and mortar shelling on the waters of Ochakiv community. Additionally, the enemy attacked Mykolaiv region with an X-59 missile, resulting in damage to an industrial infrastructure object. An outbreak of dry grass occurred in an open area but was promptly extinguished.

Odesa oblast

Enemy ships are absent in the Black and Azov Seas. There are 2 enemy ships in the Mediterranean Sea, one of which is equipped with Kalibr cruise missiles capable of firing up to 16 missiles simultaneously.

Relatives of a physical education teacher from Odesa, Volodymyr Kalmyk, who was killed while performing a combat mission in the Kherson oblast, have created a petition to award him the title of Hero of Ukraine. Volodymyr Kalmyk volunteered for the front and was killed on September 17, 2022. In honor of the deceased teacher, it is planned to name the educational institution where he worked after him and to install a memorial plaque in his memory.

Kherson oblast

On 2 May, the russian army attacked Kizomys, Stanislav, Veletenske, Sadove, Prydniprovske, Inzhenerne, Beryslav, Kachkarivka, Mykhailivka, Zolota Balka, Havrylivka, Olhivka, Osokorivka, and the city of Kherson. Two multi-story buildings and 10 private houses were damaged, along with educational institutions, utility infrastructure objects, a shop, garage and warehouse facilities, farm buildings, vehicles, port infrastructure and a gas pipeline. One person was injured due to russian aggression.

In Kherson oblast, the police evacuated a wounded man from under russian shelling. A resident of Zolota Balka sustained neck and blast injuries. Police officers evacuated the injured person in an armored vehicle to a safer location, where they handed him over to medical personnel.

It is reported that the enemy attempted 8 unsuccessful assaults on the left bank of the temporarily occupied Dnipro River in Kherson oblast. After suffering losses, they returned to their original positions. According to the “South” Operational Command, 260 reconnaissance UAVs were spotted in the operational zone.

Volunteers are helping repair homes damaged by russian shelling in Bilozerka. Residents received nearly three thousand sheets of roofing slate, enough to cover over 20 private houses and one multi-story building.

Farmers in Kherson oblast received sunflower seeds from farmers of Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Poltava, and Kharkiv oblasts. Thirty farms in the front-line communities of Kherson oblast will be able to plant over 2,000 hectares of cleared fields.

Police officers of Kherson oblast received 130 survival kits from the EU advisory mission. The kits include backpacks with thermoses, first aid kits, flashlights, power banks, and water bottles. Additionally, the Swedish police provided 50 turnstiles to Kherson police.

A social laundry service has been launched in Bilozirka community. The specially equipped facility has five washing machines and dryers each, as well as a room for folding laundry. Socially vulnerable populations will be able to use the laundry services. The operation of the laundry will be coordinated by Bilozirka Center for Social Services. The center’s specialists assist 75 elderly people, disabled individuals, and non-working individuals living alone.

Volyn oblast

Lutsk City Council sent 4 DJI Mavic 3 quadcopters and a DJI Mavic 3 Thermal to the unit A4355 and 15 units of FPV drones and 2 DJI Mavic 3E quadcopters to the A 4548 air force.

On the eve of Easter, the Easter Basket for the Warrior charity was held in libraries of Lutsk Community. Library workers, active readers, community residents collected Easter gifts, included, Easter cards, postcards, drawings, charms, food products, personal hygiene products, to the defenders.

Zakarpattia oblast

This week, the Owl’s Nest Humanitarian Aid Center provided IDPs registered in Uzhgorod with 25 packages with necessary things for children under 1 year old and 60 bags with grocery sets. During the week, volunteers gave out clothes, shoes, bed linen and dishes (2.400 items) from the PDUM Partnerschaft Deutschland-Ukraine/Moldova e. V., Luftfahrt ohne Grenzen / Wings of Help eV and other benefactors.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The RMA held a meeting with the representative of Yevheniia Mnyshenko, Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights in the Ivano-Frankivsk Region, representatives of Oschadbank and Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Employment Center. They discussed supporting IDPs.

20 FPV drones and power batteries were sent to the defenders thanks to the funds of one day’s earnings of the employees of Horodenkiv Multidisciplinary Intensive Care Hospital.

Lviv oblast

Lviv oblast and Norfolk County Council in East England signed a memorandum of cooperation. This is the 1st region in Great Britain with which the oblast has concluded such an agreement. They discussed cooperation in the fields of economy, education, science, agriculture, energy and health care.

David Cameron, British Foreign Minister, is on a working visit to Lviv oblast for the first time. During the meeting in the RMA, he announced that the Foreign Ministry of Great Britain will transfer Lviv oblast to the so-called yellow zone. This means that it will be much easier for British people who have business in the region and potential investors to get travel insurance for Lviv oblast.

Lviv oblast sent 706 combat drones of various types worth UAH 12.5m to the 125th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Kharkiv and Donetsk oblasts.

Pustomyty community sent 8 DJI Mavik3T quadcopters and 4 DJI Mavik3T PRO RC quadcopters worth UAH 1.8m to military units A0998, A4084 and A4447.

Students and employees of social institutions of Lviv oblast sent Easter baskets with pastries, sweets, various long-term storage products,hygiene products, masking nets and Easter candles to the military. Almost all social institutions of the oblast joined this initiative and collected a “basket” weighing 200 kg.

Rivne oblast

A Safety Classroom appeared at Ostroh Lyceum №2. Students will be taught fire and mine safety, traffic rules and the basics of first aid. The safe space was equipped with interactive materials, educational mock-ups of dangerous objects, thematic games, informational posters and rescuers’ equipment.

Ternopil oblast

The RMA reported that they sent 30 FPV drones to the 105th Separate Brigade of Ukraine.

Ternopil community sent thermal imaging sights, DJI Mavic 3T quadcopters, camouflage nets and Easter goodies, to the military.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, paid a working visit to Khmelnytskyi. During the meeting with the leadership of the oblast, they discussed the safety of Khmelnytskyi nuclear plant, the energy potential in the region in general, and the restoration of those objects that were damaged by russian strikes. The president visited the soldiers who are being treated after injuries.

Chernivtsi oblast

The MedAir International non-profit organization is starting work in Chernivtsi oblast with the financial support of the UNHCR Representation in Ukraine. MedAir will carry out repair work in private households where IDPs live. The preliminary collection of needs was carried out last year by UNHCR’s partners – the Right to Protection organization. This list of 67 households was provided to MedAir.

In Chernivtsi, 16 soldiers killed in 2022 in Kyiv oblast were paid tribute. Earlier, Chernivtsi City Council reported that this is the first joint burial of servicemen in Ukraine. Lviv human rights defender and public activist Halyna Yanko helped identify the bodies of the fallen heroes. “We managed to identify 16 of them thanks to the titanic efforts of all possible law enforcement agencies of Ukraine, experts from The Hague,” she wrote. Soldiers belonged to the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade Edelveis. Many soldiers are from Chernivtsi.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Estonia and Luxembourg provided Ukraine with €900,000 worth of equipment. This is the 1st supply that arrived to the Armed Forces within the framework of the IT coalition. It included laptops, monitors and other communication equipment, which will be delivered to the divisions in the near future.

Italy will provide Ukraine with a new aid package with an air defense system before the G7 summit. The government led by Georgia Maloney decided to approve the 9th interministerial decree on military assistance to Ukraine, including the SAMP/T air defense system: Italy has 5 such systems, and Rome intends to transfer to Ukraine the system it lent to Slovakia. Another part of the systems will be used to protect the venue of the G7 summit. The new aid package will also include artillery.

Ukrainian border guards underwent a combat training course in France. According to the program, servicemen learned to act alone, in small groups and as part of a unit while performing tasks in forested areas and urban areas. Snipers and UAV operators also completed the course separately. The border guards, under the leadership of foreign instructors, learned to survive in any conditions and to destroy the enemy by all possible means and various types of weapons.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, met with David Cameron, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Great Britain. They discussed the situation at the front, support from Great Britain and preparations for important international events that will take place soon, including the Global Peace Summit.

Vitalii Koval, Head of the State Property Fund, met with Matsuda Kuninori, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Japan to Ukraine. They discussed Japanese manufacturers supporting Ukrainian farmers with equipment. They also discussed the possibility of supporting Centernergo. They include three thermal power stations. One of them is occupied, the other two were destroyed by missile strikes.

David Cameron, Head of the British Foreign Ministry, London believes that Ukraine has the right to strike russia with British weapons. He added that Kyiv will receive $3.74bn in aid from his country every year.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic stated that the country does not support men who want to avoid mobilization. There are almost 95,000 men aged 18 to 65 who have temporary protection in the Czech Republic.

Estonia returned 274 cultural heritage items illegally exported by smugglers. The criminals were caught red-handed when they tried to cross the border. Among the returned artifacts: jewelry from Scythian, pre-Roman and Roman times; medieval finds are a ceremonial horse harness (turn of the 8th–9th centuries – beginning of the 9th century), a ring with a bird holding a laurel branch in its paws (10th–12th centuries) and coins of Byzantine emperors.
