The enemy continues its attempts to advance deeper into Ukrainian territory. The Defense Forces are holding back the invaders, inflicting significant losses. Today, the number of enemy attacks has increased to 80. The occupiers are concentrating their main efforts on the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions, accounting for more than half of all attacks on Ukrainian territory. Additionally, they are actively operating in the Lyman, Kupiansk, and Vremivka directions.
Today, artillery shelling from Russian territory impacted the areas of Popivka, Progress, and Chuikivka in the Sumy region.
In the Kharkiv direction, the occupiers launched eight assaults on our units’ positions near Vovchansk, Tykhe, and Hlyboke. The situation remains under control.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attacked our positions nine times. Ukrainian defenders repelled assaults in the areas of Holubivka, Kindrashivka, Zelenyi Hai, Raihorodka, Lozova, and Kruhliakivka. Battles are ongoing at three locations.
In the Lyman direction, enemy forces attacked near Tverdokhlibove, Hrekivka, Pershotravneve, Yampilivka, and Terny. Since the beginning of the day, Ukrainian forces have repelled two attacks, with five clashes still ongoing.
In the Siversk direction, the enemy carried out three airstrikes using KAB munitions in the Zakitne area.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the invaders launched three assaults near Bila Hora and Stupochky. One attack is still underway.
In the Toretsk direction, Ukrainian defenders are repelling three enemy attacks near Toretsk.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the occupiers have made 31 attempts since the start of the day to push our defenders out of their positions near Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Krutyi Yar, Dachenske, Zhovte, Chumatske, Novyi Trud, and Pustynka. The Defense Forces, holding their ground, have repelled a total of 21 enemy attacks in this direction.
In the Kurakhove direction, the invaders attacked our units 31 times, attempting to advance near the settlements of Sontsivka, Berestky, Novodmytrivka, Kurakhove, Dalnie, Yelyzavetivka, Romanivka, Antonivka, and Hnativka. Eight clashes are ongoing.
In the Vremivka direction, the occupiers launched 14 attacks on Ukrainian positions near Trudove, Veselyi Hai, Kostiantynopilskyi, Rozdolne, Sukhi Yaly, and Novodarivka. Seven clashes are still underway.
In the Orikhiv and Huliaipole directions, the enemy did not conduct active operations.
In the Prydniprovske direction, the occupiers carried out two unsuccessful assaults on Ukrainian positions.
As a result of Russian shelling, 12 impacts were recorded, primarily targeting fuel and energy infrastructure. The Air Force reported that nearly 90% of “Kalibr” and X-101 cruise missiles were intercepted. Additionally, 35 enemy UAVs were downed, and over 60 locations were lost from enemy observation.
Approximately 2 million cultural heritage items of Ukraine are under occupation, according to Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications Mykola Tochytskyi. He also noted that about 1,700 Ukrainian artistic and cultural institutions have been destroyed due to Russian aggression.
Recent war events in the east of Ukraine
Kharkiv oblast
Russian military aircraft hit a forest belt on the outskirts of the Kyiv district of Kharkiv during the day, the OVA press service reported. The blast wave partially damaged the glazing in one of the apartment buildings, no people were injured.
One of the Russian air bombs hit near the village of Udy in the Zolochiv community, said the head of the SVA Viktor Kovalenko. The strike was on an open area. No people were injured – no one lives in the village, there was no information about the destruction.
One of the Russian KAB hits was recorded in the Malodanylivska community, its head Oleksandr Gololobov reported. According to him, the strike was on the territory of a cemetery. The third Russian air bomb on the territory of the Malodanylivska community fell outside the settlement, no one was injured.
Together with the Howard Buffett Foundation and the National Police, a unique video surveillance system in Ukraine has been launched to strengthen security in the Kharkiv region, said Oleg Synegubov, head of the OVA. It allows monitoring the situation in real time in key areas of the region, including frontline areas. 100 modern cameras have already been installed at 20 locations.
On November 28, at 06:08, Kharkiv was shelled. As a result of the missile strike, the production buildings of the enterprise were damaged and the windows of a residential multi-storey building were damaged.
The day before, at 16:30, Chuguyiv district, Vovchanska TG, village of Bilyi Kolodyaz, nearby in a field, were shelled. An FPV drone hit a T-150 tractor. As a result of the hit, three men aged 39, 44, 61 were injured and two men aged 38 and 42 died.
At 14:00, the Kupyansky district, Kupyanska TG, and the city of Kupyansk were shelled. An FPV drone with a fuse fell, but did not detonate.
At 13:45, the Kupyansky district, Kupyanska TG, and the city of Kupyansk were shelled. A car was damaged as a result of the drone dropping ammunition.
At 10:40, the Kupyansky district, Kupyanska TG, and the city of Kupyansk were shelled. Two private houses were damaged as a result of the FPV shelling.
In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy attacked five times near Vovchansk and Tykhy. One clash is still ongoing.
In the Kupyansky direction, the enemy tried to advance to our positions near Kolisnykivka, Zagryzove, Zeleny Gay, and Kruglyakivka 17 times during the day. All enemy attacks were repelled by the Defense Forces.
As a result of intensified evacuation measures, 121 people were evacuated from the Kupyansk and Boriv directions.
Donetsk oblast
The number of attacks in the direction of Lyman decreased by more than 5 times. Over the past day, the occupiers carried out four assaults near Hrekivka, Novoyehorivka and Torske, for this day there were 21 attacks, – reported in the summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The largest number of assaults per day was in the Kurakhiv sector of the front. Here, Russian troops attacked 39 times, in particular near Sontsivka, Berestki, Kurakhovo, Dalne.
In the Pokrov direction, the Ukrainian military repelled 37 Russian attacks. The occupation army tried to advance near Myrolyubivka, Promen, Lysivka, Dachenske, Zhovty and Chumatske.
Over the past day, Russian troops shelled the northern part of Pokrovsk twice, – reported in the MVA. The occupiers damaged a critical infrastructure facility and wounded a man. He was evacuated to a hospital in Dobropillya.
The Russian army aims to capture Velika Novosilka and cut off the road to Kurakhove. These are the goals of the Russian offensive in the south of Donetsk region, – said Bohdan Petrenko, head of the communications department of the 48th separate artillery brigade.
They even storm on bicycles and avoid urban battles – this is the tactic used by the Russian army in the Pokrovsky direction, – says one of the combat commanders of the 152nd separate chasseurs brigade under the pseudonym “Ham”.
The Russian military allegedly shot four prisoners of war of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Pokrovsky direction on November 22. An investigation has been launched into this fact, – the Donetsk regional prosecutor’s office reported.
Not far from Kreminna, border guards of the Luhansk detachment destroyed and damaged a Russian boat, a fuel tanker and eight units of automotive equipment. The fighters also eliminated three and wounded four more occupiers, and burned field warehouses of the Russian army.
The Russian occupiers have built a 27-kilometer federal highway from Novoazovsk to Mariupol. This is part of the highway from Rostov to Crimea, which the occupiers plan to build by 2030 and use for military purposes, the Mariupol City Council reports.
Operational situation in the region as of the morning of November 28:
Pokrovsky district. Kurakhove and nearby villages are under constant shelling. In Pokrovsk, a person was injured, an enterprise and an infrastructure facility were damaged. In Myrnograd, a house was damaged. In Novoekonomichesky district of the Grodno community, an industrial building was destroyed.
Kramatorsk district. In Dovha Balka, Illinivka community, 3 administrative buildings and a high-rise building were damaged; in Zora, 11 facilities were damaged. In Kostyantynivka, a person was injured, 2 houses were damaged; in Markovo, 2 people died, 2 houses were destroyed; in Mykolaivka 2 houses were damaged; in Bilokuzminivka – a power line.
Bakhmutsky district. In Siversk 3 houses were damaged, another 2 – in Serebryanka. In Chasovoyarsk community 20 private houses, 3 multi-storey buildings, an administrative building and 2 industrial buildings were damaged.
In total, the Russians shelled settlements in the Donetsk region 12 times in a day. 242 people were evacuated from the front line, including 16 children.
Over the past day, the Russians killed 2 residents of the Donetsk region – in Markovo. 2 more people in the region were injured in a day, – said the head of the Donetsk OVA Vadym Filashkin.
Luhansk oblast
The enemy fired 25 times from artillery installations at our fortifications and settlements in Luhansk region. It also used 39 drones. The russians attacked in the direction of Hrekivka and Novoyehorivka. Ukrainian defenders on this section of the front repulsed all enemy assaults.
The russians pretended to have forgotten about the existence of the cities of Novodruzhesk and Pryvillya, which are located near Lysychansk. The population lives without electricity, heating, and water supply. Transport links with Lysychansk are almost non-existent. The last time the invaders convinced the locals that they would resume the provision of utilities was in the fall of 2023.
The Internet in the captured frontline cities is only available to a select few. In particular, representatives of the occupation authorities and people close to them. And also in one of the entertainment establishments in Rubizhne. This menu item is available only to the russian military.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported that the enemy had launched a combined attack with drones and missiles on Kyiv oblast. The alert lasted all night for more than 10 hours. As a result of the enemy attack, two people were injured, an infrastructure facility was damaged, as well as a private house, a non-residential building, a hangar and two cars.
The KCMA reported that the russian military attacked Kyiv with air-launched cruise missiles and drones of various types. All enemy targets that threatened Kyiv were destroyed by air defence forces. Debris was recorded falling in two districts of the capital: an enterprise was damaged in Darnytsia district, and debris fell on an open area in Dnipro district.
Emergency power cuts were introduced in Kyiv and oblast on the instructions of Ukrenergo. According to the Regional Military Administration, there are 466 invincibility points in Kyiv oblast.
The Regional Military Administration reported that 98 veteran businesses have already been opened in oblast, launched through the Grants for Veterans and Their Families programme. Veteran entrepreneurs develop online services, provide services for the installation of solar power plants, create greenhouses, grow herbs, open cafes and educational institutions.
The regional employment service has 2,600 vacancies for veterans in its database. Mechanisms for employing female and male veterans are being actively developed. In addition, Kyiv oblast plans to create 8 educational veteran spaces to provide retraining courses for war veterans.
Kyiv oblast is among the top three regions in terms of installing hybrid solar power plants. Currently, 5,099 units have been installed. The total connected capacity of such equipment is over 125 mW.
On 30 November, Kyiv will host the Charity Fair 2024 charity Christmas fair, with proceeds going to help IDP children, people with disabilities, the elderly, animal shelters, and a separate project called ‘Keep a Defender Warm’. The event is organised by the Association of Spouses of Ukrainian Diplomats, the Kyiv Ambassadors’ Wives Club and the International Women’s Club of Kyiv. The fair will be attended by representatives of foreign diplomatic missions in Ukraine, who will present their national cultures and traditions.
Zhytomyr oblast
The Zhytomyrvodokanal utility company reported that Zhytomyr was cut off from electricity as a result of a russian missile attack. Sewage facilities were connected to generators. Electric transport has stopped running in the regional centre. In the event of a power outage, the city’s districts will operate the Invincibility Points.
In Zhytomyr oblast, as of 10:30 a.m., electricity supply was restored to all critical infrastructure, including water utilities, hospitals, military facilities, and district heating companies. Oleksiy Sheketa, head of Zhytomyroblenerho, informed that the damaged equipment was repaired and switched to backup power.
The RMA reported that solar generation by private households in Zhytomyr oblast has reached almost 38 megawatts and continues to grow. There are already 1,358 hybrid solar power plants. Government support programmes are currently the main incentive for the introduction of alternative energy.
Sumy oblast
launched a missile strike on the infrastructure of Shostka community. A sports complex in Shostka was damaged, along with 35 buildings, including 8 private homes, with 224 windows shattered. Several infrastructure facilities in the community were destroyed, including a school, a hospital building, and water supply facilities.
On 27 November, russians carried out 18 shelling attacks on border areas and settlements in Sumy oblast, resulting in 23 explosions. The attacks targeted Khotin, Krasnopillia, Bilopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Shalyhyne, and Seredyna-Buda communities.
Krasnopillia community: explosives were dropped from a UAV (2 explosions).
Khotin community: an attack by FPV-drones (4 explosions), explosives were dropped from a UAV (2 explosions). As a result, a civilian received a shrapnel wound.
Velyka Pysarivka community: an attack by FPV-drones (2 explosions), mortar shelling (4 explosions) were recorded.
Shalyhyne community: an attack by FPV-drones (2 explosions), mortar shelling (3 explosions)
Bilopillia community: an attack by an FPV-drone (1 explosion), explosives were dropped from a UAV (1 explosion).
Seredyna-Bua community: explosives were dropped from a UAV (1 explosion), an attack by an FPV-drone (1 explosion).
State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported that fighters of the ‘Steel Border’ border guard brigade of the Offensive Guard destroyed a russian T-80 tank and an MT-LB using FPV-drones in Sumy oblast.
In Sumy, a course on emergency first aid adapted for civilians was organized. Instructors from the public organization ‘Kupyna’ conducted the training at the Congress Center of Sumy State University
Chernihiv oblast
Operational Command ‘North’ reported that on 27 November, russian forces attacked Khrinivka village in Snovska community, Chernihiv oblast. Border guards recorded one strike, likely from an FPV-drone
Chernihiv Regional Police informed that a critically ill person was evacuated from a village in Chernihiv oblast located three kilometers from russian border. The man was transported to a safe area and handed over to medical professionals.
Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, announced that on 28 November, in Chernihiv, 12 veterans and the son of a fallen soldier received financial certificates for purchasing apartments. A total of 27 such certificates have been issued so far.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Mykola Lukashuk, Head of the RMA, reported that last evening, russian forces attacked Marhanets community in Nikopol region by a kamikaze drone.
Throughout the day, the enemy launched nearly 25 attacks on Nikopol region, targeting the regional centre, Pokrov, Myrivska, Marhanets and Chervonohryhorivka communities by artillery and kamikaze drones. A 33-year-old man was injured and received all necessary medical assistance.
The attacks caused damage to 11 private houses, a municipal enterprise, 6 outbuildings, a scooter and garages – one of which was completely destroyed. Power lines, gas pipelines and other infrastructure were also affected.

Vinnytsia oblast
As a result of a russian missile strike in Vinnytsia oblast, residential buildings were damaged, an outbuilding destroyed and a private car caught fire. A woman was injured in the attack.
Kirovohrad oblast
Andrii Raikovych, Head of Kirovohrad RMA, said that russian forces targeted Kirovohrad oblast by missiles and drones.
Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine
Zaporizhzhia oblast
As reported by the Prosecutor General’s Office, a criminal case has been opened regarding the execution of 5 Ukrainian soldiers by russian troops near Novodarivka in Zaporizhzhia oblast on 24 November.
Ivan Fedorov, Head of the RMA, reported that on 27 November, russian forces launched 349 strikes on 12 cities and villages in Zaporizhzhia oblast. Among the attacks, 194 drones of various modifications targeted Bilenke, Stepnohirsk, Lobkove, Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, Bilohiria, Novodarivka and Olhivske.
Mykolaiv oblast
According to the RMA, as a result of massive missile and drone attack on 28 November, Mykolaiv oblast experienced a blackout.
Vitalii Kim, Head of Mykolaiv RMA, said that on 27 November, russian forces attacked Kutsurub community 5 times by FPV drones. There were no casualties reported. Also, at 4:01pm, artillery shelling targeted the water area of Ochakiv community, with no injuries reported.
Odesa oblast
According to the RMA, on the morning of 28 November, russian forces launched missile strikes on Odesa oblast, injuring a 16-year-old boy and a 90-year-old woman. Based on the information provided by the police, at least 18 private houses, a gas pipeline, outbuildings and vehicles were damaged.
Oleksandr Kiper, Head of Odesa RMA, stated that on 28 November, a 26-year-old woman that was injured during a russian drone attack on 8 November passed away in the hospital.
According to the Ukrainian Navy, 14 russian ships are stationed in the Black Sea, including 4 carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles, with a total salvo capacity of up to 22 missiles.
Kherson oblast
As reported by the Prosecutor’s Office, russian forces attacked Antonivka by drones, killing a 59-year-old man. A criminal case has been opened.
According to the RMA, in Bilozirka, 4 men were injured by ussian shelling, suffering explosive injuries and concussions.
Roman Mrochko, Head of the CMA, reported that in another attack on a Kherson suburb, one man was injured and hospitalised with blast injuries and shrapnel wounds to his left forearm.
In the morning, russian forces shelled Shliakhove, damaging private houses. Roofs and windows were shattered, but there were no casualties reported.
In Dniprovskyi district of Kherson, a 33-year-old man was injured in a drone attack and hospitalised with blast injuries.
2 women were injured in a drone attack on a Kherson suburb and were hospitalised.
Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the RMA, informed that on 27 November, one person was killed and 14 injured in Kherson oblast. The russian military targeted critical and social infrastructure in 11 settlements, damaging 7 apartment buildings and 14 private houses.
According to the RMA, in the evening, russian forces dropped explosives from a drone on a civilian in Dniprovskyi district of Kherson. The 55-year-old man suffered blast injuries and a concussion.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine
Volyn oblast
During the morning attack, there were flights on the territory of the oblast. Missiles were directed at critical infrastructure. There are no dead or injured. There are damaged private farm buildings. It also affected the power outage in Volyn. Currently, approximately 215,000 subscribers are temporarily without electricity. All important infrastructure, which remained without electricity, has been transferred to generators.
Lutsk community sent a DJI Mavic 3T Enterprise Thermal quadcopter, two DJI Mavic 3 Pro RC quadcopters and 10 VRK-8 UAVs with a day camera to the Military Unit A7086.
Zakarpattia oblast
The delegation of Zakarpattia Regional Council continues a series of meetings in Brno – establishing cooperation with the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. During the meeting with Jan Grolich, Hetman of the region, they talked about cooperation at the level of communities and institutions of our regions, exchange of experience in the field of tourism, transport, ecology, education and medicine. Such fruitful interaction should turn into joint projects.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
Objects of critical infrastructure of Prykarpattia again became the target of an enemy missile attack. The Air Defense Forces were working. Damage to private houses was recorded. There are no casualties or casualties. Due to an enemy attack, emergency shutdowns of the lights have been introduced.
Lviv oblast
500 trench candles were made in Yavoriv region for our soldiers in 2 weeks. They have already been sent to the front line. These candles are made independently by employees of Yavoriv District Military Administration during their lunch break or after work.
Rivne oblast
During the morning attack, the target of the enemy was an object of energy infrastructure. There are no killed or injured. Near residential buildings near the object, the rescuers deployed Invincibility Centres. In the morning, over 280,000 subscribers were without electricity in the oblast. Currently, the electricity supply has been restored. Schools in Rivne and parts of Rivne region were transferred to distance learning.
Ternopil oblast
RMA representatives held a meeting with David Novi, Consul General of the Czech Republic. They discussed in detail the issue of supporting children, the implementation of joint projects in the field of energy efficiency, as well as the important issue of rehabilitation and prosthetics of the Ukrainian military.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
During an air alarm signal, the Air Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 4 enemy missiles over the oblast. Due to another attack by the russian federation on the energy facilities of Ukraine, part of Khmelnytskyi remained without electricity supply.
The RMA reported that 31 Invincibility Centres are functioning in the oblast, additional points are ready to be opened.
On 27 November, a rotation of the permanent mission of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) took place at the site of Khao NPP. During the working meeting, IAEA representatives shared results of nuclear safety and security monitoring carried out over the past 3 weeks and introduced a new team of experts. The program of the stay of the 33rd IAEA mission includes inspections of equipment, conducting interviews with personnel and analyzing the needs of Khao NPP for further support from the international organization. Foreign specialists and employees of Khao NPP are determined to cooperate constructively and effectively.
Chernivtsi oblast
During the morning attack, the Air Defense Forces destroyed an enemy missile over the territory of Chernivtsi oblast. As a result of falling debris, several residential buildings were damaged in Dnistrovskyi region. There are no killed or injured.
Investigative actions are being carried out in the area where the debris fell, and employees of all specialized services were involved in the work. The community is currently assessing the damage. All data will be shared for reimbursement. Public organizations will help with construction materials for quick repair of buildings.
International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)
Ruben Brekelmans, Minister of Defense of the Netherlands, reported the Netherlands sent 3 Patriot launchers to Ukraine.
Over the past 2 years, Coca-Cola has invested over $8.5m in the purchase of 105 mobile boilers of domestic production, which will allow heating up to 600,000 sqm of premises of social facilities, such as schools, kindergartens, medical institutions and residential buildings throughout Ukraine.
The European Parliament called on the EU countries to provide Ukraine with all the necessary assistance – Taurus missiles, air defense systems and ammunition. The resolution was adopted with 390 votes “yes”, 135 “no”, and 52 abstentions.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, held a phone conversation with Keir Starmer, Prime Minister of Great Britain. They discussed another act of russian aerial terror against the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine using over 90 missiles and almost 100 drones. Particular attention was paid to the issue of further defense cooperation.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, had a phone conversation with Mark Rutte, NATO Secretary General. They discussed the necessary strengthening of the Air Defense Forces of Ukraine.
