Since the start of the day, the aggressor has attacked the positions of the Defence Forces 65 times.
Artillery shelling of border areas continues. Today, in Sumy oblast, the following settlements were affected: Tovstodubove, Ryzhivka, Bachivsk, Korenok, Bezsalivka, Novovasylivka, Kozache, Neskuchne, Sopych, Ulanove, Vintorivka, Volfyne, Iskryskivshchyna, Rohizne, Vovkivka; in Chernihiv oblast – Kliusy, Zarichchia, Kryvusha.
Towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk, four combat engagements took place; the enemy carried out 35 attacks on settlements and our troops’ positions, four of which involved the use of multiple launch rocket systems.
Towards Southern Sloboda, the enemy launched six assaults on our units’ positions in the areas around the settlements of Starytsia, Prylipka and towards Izbytske and Ternova. Three firefights are still ongoing.
Towards Kupiansk, the enemy attacked the positions of the Defence Forces twice today towards the settlement of Kivsharivka and in the area of Novoiehorivka.
Towards Lyman, Ukrainian soldiers repelled ten attempts by the invaders to advance towards Lyman, Drobysheve and in the areas of Kolodiazi and Stavky.
Towards Sloviansk, the Defence Forces successfully halted two attempts by the invaders to advance in the area of the settlement of Rai-Oleksandrivka.
Towards Kramatorsk, the enemy did not carry out any offensive operations.
Towards Kostiantynivka, our defenders repelled five attacks near Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka and Stepanivka.
Towards Pokrovsk, the occupiers have attempted 18 times to dislodge our troops from their positions in the areas of the settlements of Novooleksandrivka, Rodynske, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Vilne and Serhiivka. Two firefights are ongoing.
Towards Oleksandrivka, our defenders repelled one enemy attack towards the settlement of Zlahoda.
Towards Huliaipole, the Defence Forces successfully repelled 17 enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Rybne, Dobropillia, Pryluky, Zaliznychne and towards Novozhorzhia, Huliaipole, Olenokostiantynivka, Staroukrainka, Tsvitkove and Charivne.
Towards Orikhiv, the enemy attempted to advance five times in the areas around the settlements of Stepnohirsk, Shcherbaky, Plavni and Mali Shcherbaky. One engagement is currently ongoing.
In other sectors, there are currently no significant changes in the situation. No enemy attempts to advance have been recorded.
Ukrainian troops are wearing down the enemy along the entire line of contact and in the rear.
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukrainian law enforcement agencies have opened 128 criminal proceedings regarding Russia’s crimes against journalists and media workers. According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, 139 media professionals and their relatives have been officially recognized as victims. As a result of Russian aggression, 68 journalists have been killed, while another 49 have been injured. In addition, 19 media workers were illegally detained or deprived of their liberty.
Recent war events in the east of Ukraine
Kharkiv oblast
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of 4pm, towards Southern Sloboda, russian troops had launched six assaults on the positions of Ukrainian units in the areas of Starytsia, Prylipka and towards Izbytske and Ternova. Three firefights were ongoing. Towards Kupiansk, the russian army attacked twice towards Kivsharivka and in Novoiehorivka.
In Izium, at around 5:30pm, a russian drone struck a Nova Poshta branch, the city’s military administration reported. A 54-year-old employee suffered an acute stress reaction. The strike set the building’s roof alight and damaged the windows of a neighbouring apartment block.

Head Viktor Kovalenko reported that in Klynova-Novoselivka, Zolochiv community, at around 3:30pm, russian troops launched an attack using Molniya missiles and FPV drones. A series of strikes destroyed a private house and a barn, and damaged another house and outbuildings. No one was injured. Twenty-five residents remain in the frontline village, mostly elderly people.
Viacheslav Zadorenko, Head of Derhachi Military-Civilian Administration, reported that at around 12pm, on the road between Kozacha Lopan and Slatyne, a russian FPV drone struck a civilian vehicle. The 62-year-old driver was injured.
Head Yevhen Shapoval said that at around 10:30am, russian troops attacked Prykolotne in Vilkhuvatka community with KABs. No one was injured, but there is damage in the village.
The Ministry of Energy reported that in Kharkiv oblast, a team of power engineers was struck by a UAV while carrying out their duties. Two workers were injured and taken to hospital.
Over the past 24 hours, 296 combat engagements were recorded on the front line. Toward Southern Sloboda, russian troops attacked the positions of the Defence Forces 13 times in the areas of Starytsia, Vovchansk, Vilcha, Hranova, Ternova, Lyman and Kolodiazne. Towards Kupiansk, Ukrainian defenders repelled five attempts by the russian army to advance towards Kupiansk, Kurylivka, Borova, Kolisnykivka and Novoplatonivka.
Kharkiv Regional Military Administration said that over the past 24 hours, Kharkiv and 10 settlements in the oblast were under enemy attack. In Sinne, in Bohodukhiv community, two men aged 38 and 53 were injured. Russian forces attacked the Nemyshlyanskyi district of Kharkiv with UAVs.
Over the past 24 hours, the russian army deployed three Geran-2 UAVs, 13 Molniya UAVs, four FPV drones and 21 UAVs of an unidentified type in the Kharkiv region. In Kharkiv, a fence was damaged, whilst in Bohodukhiv, Kupiansk, Kharkiv, Chuhuiv and Berestyn regions, private homes, power lines, hangars, warehouses, cars, a lorry and farm buildings were damaged. In Ivanivka, Chuhuiv region a cow was also killed as a result of the strike.
In Berestyn, power lines were damaged by a russian strike. Work is ongoing in the town to restore the power supply; Invincibility Centres are operating, and water is being supplied via generators.
According to the 16th Army Corps, over the past 24 hours, 59 russian shelling incidents, one airstrike and the use of 56 kamikaze drones were recorded towards Kharkiv. Russian forces lost 29 personnel and 105 pieces of equipment and weaponry.
Olha Demenko, Director of the City Department of Education, informed that russian strikes in Kharkiv have damaged 65% of schools and nurserieso. She said that five schools and three nurseries cannot be rebuilt.
The transit evacuation centre in Lozova received 202 people in the past 24 hours. Since the centre began operating, 36,301 people have been registered there.
There are 10,000 pupils attending private schools in Kharkiv; in total, 105,000 minors are enrolled in education in the city. 32.5% of Kharkiv’s schoolchildren are currently abroad. Seven distance-learning classes have been set up in three schools in the city for children abroad: they follow a reduced curriculum and study only subjects related to Ukrainian culture — language, literature, history and geography.
Donetsk oblast
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that toward Kostiantynivka, the Defence Forces repelled 26 russian attacks over the past 24 hours. The invaders launched assaults near Kostiantynivka, Ivanopil, Pleshchiivka, Rusyn Yar, and in the direction of Mykolaipil, Vilne and Kuchero Yar. Towards Pokrovsk, the russian army carried out 53 assaults, with a further 12 attacks towards Lyman.
A Ukrainian FPV drone has once again set a record, flying 103km and striking a target in Donetsk oblast. The previous record, 102 km, was set on 26 May. Both flights were carried out by pilots from the Feniks (Phoenix) unit of Luhansk Border Guard Detachment.
A russian Oreshnik ballistic missile struck the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk oblast on the night of 23–24 May, as russia launched a massive attack on Kyiv, including with Oreshnik missiles. Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote about this in a letter to Donald Trump and the US Congress; the content of the letter was confirmed by the President’s communications adviser, Dmytro Lytvyn.
Donetsk regional police stated that towards Lyman, soldiers of the 66th Brigade evacuated three wounded comrades over a five-day period using ground robots. The unit noted that this was the best result in their history.
During the night, the russian army attacked Druzhkivka with a drone. The strike killed one person and destroyed a private house. Another resident was injured in an attack on Kindrativka.
On 26 May, the police recorded 983 shelling incidents by the russian army along the front line and in residential areas of Donetsk oblast. 9 settlements were under attack: Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk, Mykolaivka, Sloviansk, Bilenke, Bilbasivka, Cherkaske, Znamivka and Ocheretyne. Forty civilian structures were damaged, including 18 residential buildings.

Russian forces carried out five strikes on Mykolaivka. Five civilians were killed and one person was injured. Three apartment blocks and six private homes, two educational establishments and a courier service building were damaged.
The russians attacked Bilenke with three FPV drones. One person was injured, and five private homes and two cars were damaged. In Kramatorsk, a petrol station and a shop were damaged by a Molniya-2 UAV strike. In Sloviansk, two strikes by a Geran-2 UAV damaged a State Emergency Service administrative building, a utility building and civilian infrastructure.
In Druzhkivka, three private homes were damaged by a drone attack. In Bilbasivka, two kiosks, a shop and a post office were damaged by drone strikes; in Cherkaske, an apartment block and civilian infrastructure were damaged.
In Kramatorsk, the Military Administration reported another casualty due to russian attacks on the community over the past 24 hours. In addition to the man injured in Bilenke, a resident of Semenivka, born in 1966, was also wounded. In total, russian forces shelled Kramatorsk community five times over the past 24 hours.

In Serhiivka, where a mandatory evacuation has been ordered, one child remains: the family returned after having left previously. Measures are currently underway to evacuate them again. In May, over 9,000 people left Kramatorsk and Sloviansk communities, and the total population in the part of Donetsk oblast controlled by Ukraine has fallen to 146,000.
According to the 412th Nemesis Brigade, Ukrainian drones have blocked the R-280 Mariupol–Melitopol–Simferopol highway, which the occupiers use for military logistics. Priority targets are military equipment and supplies for the russian army in the so-called “deep rear”.
According to “ATESH”, he russian army is relocating surviving field depots and reserve command posts from the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia oblasts further beyond Mariupol, where Defence Forces drones cannot yet reach. According to their data, the Ukrainian military has begun striking targets that have been out of reach since 2022.
Luhansk oblast
Oleksii Kharchenko, Head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration, said that over the past 24 hours, russian forces launched 12 assaults near four settlements in Lyman. The occupiers directed 23 drones at the positions of Ukrainian defenders in Luhansk oblast, fired nine times with barrel artillery, six times with mortars, used multiple launch rocket systems twice, and fired grenade launchers on two further occasions.
In the so-called “lpr”, the occupiers have changed the operating procedure for the air raid warning system. In many towns, sirens will now only be activated between 8am and 9pm, and at night, even where equipment is available, there will be no signal. Alerts will also not be sent via messaging apps. Local residents have been instructed to regard the entire night-time period as potentially dangerous and to take safety precautions themselves.
In several neighbourhoods of Siverskodonetsk, the centralised drinking water supply was last provided in the spring of 2022 — before the russians captured the city. Since then, the water supply there has not been working, and no water deliveries have been organised. The occupiers have been promising restoration work for four years now, but have still not started it.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
The aviation unit of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (DSNS) took to the skies for the first time since the beginning of the full-scale war not for evacuation or firefighting, but to save a child’s life. An 8-month-old patient at Okhmatdyt urgently needed a liver transplant. Since a donor organ can survive outside the body for only 10 hours, transporting it by car would not have been fast enough, so doctors turned to rescuers for help, the DSNS reported. The helicopter was deployed under the protection of Ukraine’s Defense Forces, which ensured the safety of the flight. DSNS specialists delivered the priceless cargo to Kyiv in just 1.5 hours. Immediately after landing, transplant surgeons began the emergency operation and saved the child’s life.
On May 27, while clearing debris in the industrial zone of Kyiv’s Shevchenkivskyi district, rescuers found an injured cat. The animal had spent three days trapped under the rubble following Russia’s massive attack on the night of May 24, according to the Kyiv Animal Rescue Group. The cat was taken to a veterinary hospital in critical condition. Earlier, the organization also reported many other domestic, stray, and wild animals affected by the strike, including an orphaned rook chick, a raven, and a hedgehog suffering from shell shock, a pigeon chick with burns, and three hospitalized cats.
In Kyiv, the McDonald’s restaurant in Lukianivka has reopened after being damaged during the Russian attack on May 24. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the restaurant has repeatedly come under Russian shelling, but each time it resumed operations. This was already the seventh time the location had been damaged.
In Kyiv, UAH 120 million was allocated during the first quarter of 2026 to provide financial support for internally displaced persons (IDPs), according to the Kyiv City State Administration. The capital continues to expand access to social support, ensuring that IDPs can benefit from the same opportunities available to Kyiv residents. Assistance is provided through various initiatives within the programs “Care. Towards Kyiv Residents” and “Support for Kyiv’s Defenders.”
Kyiv region has received another 30 buses from French partners. Overall, as part of cooperation with the Île-de-France region, the oblast has already received 60 out of 260 modern buses that will serve communities and residents across the region, according to the Regional Military Administration.
Zhytomyr oblast
Pyrotechnic specialists of the regional State Emergency Service of Ukraine (DSNS) neutralized 40 artillery shells discovered in the Zhytomyr district. Local residents found the dangerous explosives in a forest, according to the DSNS.
At the Ukrainian Dragon Boat Federation Championship in the “Unbreakable” category, athletes from the Zhytomyr region delivered an outstanding performance. The competition, held on May 23, brought together veterans and athletes from different regions of Ukraine.
Sumy oblast
The Territorial Defence Zone Headquarters reported that over the week, Defence Forces units destroyed and suppressed with electronic warfare more than 1,200 enemy UAVs in the skies over Sumy oblast. In total, more than 1,300 enemy UAVs were detected over the oblast during this period. Air defence units destroyed 91% of them.
The Communications Centre of Kursk Group of Forces informed that Zapsillia and Myropillia in Sumy region remain under the control of Defence Forces of Ukraine. Information from russian Telegram channels about the alleged capture of these settlements is untrue.
Pavlo Kuzmenko, Mayor of Okhtyrka, said that on the evening of 27 May, a russian drone hit the courtyard of an apartment building in Okhtyrka. There were no injuries.
according to Sumy Regional Prosecutor’s Office, on 24 May, russian forces attacked a car by a drone in Krasnopollia community. The 24-year-old driver was killed.
Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that medical assistance is currently being provided to three children injured in Sumy oblast due to russian attacks. A 12-year-old Anastasiia, injured in a russian attack on Lypova Dolyna community on 23 July, is being treated at Okhmatdyt. In Sumy community, a 16-year-old girl who was near the impact site was injured in an enemy drone attack. On 27 May, an 8-year-old boy injured during the shelling of Sumy on 21 May is undergoing examination in hospital.
Oleh Hryhorov, Head of Sumy Regional Military Administration, said that on 26 May, russian forces struck Sumy by drones. The attack damaged, among other things, the office and vehicle of Norwegian humanitarian organisation Norwegian People’s Aid Ukraine, which carries out humanitarian demining in Sumy oblast.
National Police and Sumy Regional Military Administration informed that two people were injured in Sumy oblast due to shelling over the day on 26 May. In Seredyna-Buda community, a 42-year-old police officer and a 55-year-old woman were injured in a drone strike. A 48-year-old woman injured on 25 May in a russian UAV strike on the community also sought medical assistance.
Over the day, from the morning of 26 May to the morning of 27 May, russian forces carried out more than 30 attacks on 15 settlements in 8 territorial communities of the oblast. Most attacks were recorded in Sumy and Shostka regions. The enemy used mortars, artillery, FPV drones, UAVs and guided aerial bombs. Over the day, air raid alerts in the oblast lasted 19 hours and 40 minutes.
Civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged and destroyed:
▪️ in Bilopollia community, a private residential building and an outbuilding were damaged;
▪️ in Richky community, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged;
▪️ in Sumy community, private residential buildings, a non-residential building and cars were damaged;
▪️ in Esman community, private residential buildings and church premises were destroyed;
▪️ in Shostka community, a private residential building was destroyed;
▪️ in Shalyhyne community, private residential buildings were destroyed;
▪️ in Seredyna-Buda community, private residential buildings, outbuildings and civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged;
▪️ in Hlukhiv community, private residential buildings were destroyed and a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged;
▪️ in Berezivka community, a non-residential building was damaged;
▪️ in Znob-Novhorodske community, civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged.
Over the day, local authorities, together with units of the State Emergency Service, National Police and public organisations, evacuated 9 people from border communities.

Chernihiv oblast
The State Border Guard Service reported that border guards eliminated eight Shaheds and four Gerberas in Chernihiv oblast over the day on 26 May.
Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration, informed that from 8:10am to 8:15am on 27 May, the enemy struck Lukniv village in Korop community. russian forces attacked two farming enterprises. As a result of the impacts, a woman was killed and a man was hospitalised in serious condition. Pig farm and cattle farm premises were destroyed.
28 May was declared a Day of Mourning in Korop community.

Dmytro Bryzhynskyi, Head of Chernihiv City Military Administration, said that on the night of 27 May, russians launched a massive attack on Chernihiv. Around 15 explosions were recorded in the city.
According to Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, damage was recorded at various locations, as well as in neighbouring communities. Country houses in Novyi Bilous and Kulykivka communities, a woodworking enterprise, a logistics company and critical infrastructure in Chernihiv were targeted. A warehouse, special equipment, cars and a lorry were damaged.

The State Emergency Service’s Special-Purpose Emergency and Rescue Unit in Chernihiv oblast reported that in Pryluky region, pyrotechnics of State Emergency Service removed the warheads of two Kh-101 cruise missiles that had fallen in an open area and did not detonate.
Nataliia Dobrolezha, Deputy Director of Agrolider LLC, said that on 26 May at around 10am, a russian Shahed attacked farmers while they were working in a field near Borsukiv, in Kiptivka community. The UAV hit a few metres from a tractor. The driver was not injured.
Chernihiv Oblast Police informed that two people were injured in the russian attack on a cemetery in Snovsk on 26 May. The cemetery and a car were also damaged.

According to Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Petropavlivskyi Church, located in Snovsk near the cemetery that was hit, was damaged in the russian attack on 26 May.
Chernihiv Border Detachment reported that on 26 May, russian forces attacked four border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, Horodnia and Snovsk. The enemy carried out shelling by mortars (11 explosions) and tube artillery (5 explosions), struck by Molniya-type UAVs (5 explosions) and FPV drones (5 explosions), and dropped explosive devices from UAVs. Seven settlements came under enemy fire.
Chernihiv Regional Military Administration informed that 69,600 internally displaced people live in Chernihiv oblast, 29,000 of whom moved to the region from other oblasts. People are accommodated in 6 modular towns and 3 dormitories. More than 100 residential premises have been built and equipped in Chernihiv with funds from Ukrainian Red Cross Society. A large-scale construction project to build more than 400 apartments for IDPs with support from GAU Foundation of Denmark is also under way.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Vinnytsia oblast
It became known that nine defenders from Vinnytsia oblast were killed, including Oleksandr Rosia, Viktor Amir, Oleksii Varchak, Viktor Trushkin, Yurii Yakivchuk, Yurii Hulko, Vladyslav Myslyk, Volodymyr Zanko and Oleksandr Pysmeniuk.
Lastivka kindergarten, damaged during a drone attack, is being repaired in Vinnytsia. The facility is replacing damaged windows with modern energy-efficient and soundproof structures with an increased level of protection. The work is being carried out on co-financing terms, with support from UNICEF and funding from the community budget.
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Fifteen enemy UAVs were shot down over the oblast overnight.
Nikopol region. Three people were injured in Chervonohryhorivka community: men aged 58 and 62, and a 17-year-old boy. The enemy attacked the regional centre, Chervonohryhorivka and Marhanets communities by drones and artillery. Two lorries caught fire. A power line was damaged. Two people were also injured in Myrove community due to yesterday’s attacks.
Synelnykove region. A 47-year-old woman was injured in Pokrovske community due to a guided aerial bomb strike. Two people were injured in Vasylkivka community: a 67-year-old man and a 66-year-old woman. A UAV strike damaged a private house and a summer kitchen.
Nikopol region. The occupiers attacked the regional centre, Marhanets, Myrove and Pokrovske rural communities by drones and artillery. Two private homes and two cars were damaged.
Kryvyi Rih region. The enemy directed an FPV drone at Apostolove community.
Pavlohrad region. A UAV attack in Pavlohrad damaged 12 private houses, a garage, a gas pipeline and a power line.
Synelnykove region. A guided aerial bomb attack in Pokrovske community damaged an evacuation vehicle and private houses.
Dnipro region. A fire broke out in the region as a result of enemy attacks.
Kirovohrad oblast
Two communities in Kirovohrad oblast paid tribute to servicemen: Roman Brytskyi from Bohdanove village in Blahovishchenske community, Holovanivsk region, and Dmytro Yurchuk from Oleksandriia.
Roman Brytskyi died on 10 May while being treated for injuries sustained during combat missions in Biliaivka village, Boryslav region, Kherson oblast.
Dmytro Yurchuk was killed on 28 October 2023 while carrying out a combat mission near Avdiivka, Donetsk oblast.
A memorial plaque honouring fallen special forces serviceman and Hero of Ukraine Oleksii Khyzhniak was unveiled in Kropyvnytskyi. The plaque was installed on the facade of a building at 12 Oleksii Khyzhniak Street. During a battle on 7 September of the same year in Chornobaivka village, Kharkiv oblast, the serviceman sustained fatal injuries. He was posthumously awarded Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi. By Presidential Decree, he was awarded the title Hero of Ukraine with Order of the Gold Star.
Oksana Kovtunenko, Spokeswoman for Regional Police, reported that in Kirovohrad oblast, explosives experts detonated the warhead of a russian attack drone found in a field. During the inspection, they found that the fragmentation-thermobaric warhead weighing more than 90 kilogrammes had not detonated. The presence of a thermobaric warhead in drones increases the threat to the population, as an explosion can cause large-scale destruction and fires, especially in densely built-up areas.
Poltava oblast
Mykola Loboda and Oleh Kovtun were killed in Dnipropetrovsk oblast. Mykola Loboda, a resident of Kremenchuk, was killed on 13 May while carrying out a combat mission.
Oleh Kovtun, a resident of Lokhvytsia, was killed on 3 April in Synelnykove region, Dnipropetrovsk oblast. The serviceman had previously been considered missing. His death was confirmed by DNA examination.
Kremenchuk will hold Voices of Children campaign on the occasion of Day of Remembrance for Children Killed as a Result of War. The campaign is planned for 4 June. It will honour the memory of children killed as a result of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine. The initiative also aims to draw public attention to patriotic and civic education of children and young people.
Cherkasy oblast
Bahacheve paid tribute to Vitalii Nemazanyi, a grenade launcher operator. On 27 May 2025, after carrying out a combat mission to defend Kostiantynopil village, Volnovakha region, Donetsk oblast, the soldier with the call sign Niemets did not return to his position. DNA examination confirmed Vitalii’s death.

According to Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, yesterday, 26 May, russian forces carried out 616 strikes on 34 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. russians launched one missile strike on Zaporizhzhia. russian troops carried out 18 airstrikes on Zaporizhzhia, Orikhiv, Preobrazhenka, Vozdvyzhivka, Yehorivka, Chervona Krynytsia, Dolynka, Lisne, Liubytske, Rivne, Omelnyk, Mala Tokmachka, Bilohiria, and Novoselivka. 392 UAVs of various types (mostly FPV drones) attacked Zaporizhzhia, Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Stepove, Pavlivske, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Mali Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Bilohiria, Huliaipilske, Hirske, Zelene, Varvarivka, Dobropillia, Pryluky, Staroukrainka, Sviatopetrivka, Tsvitkove, and Preobrazhenka. 205 artillery strikes hit Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Stepove, Pavlivske, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Mali Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Bilohiria, Dobropillia, Pryluky, Hirske, Huliaipilske, and Staroukrainka. 89 reports of damage to infrastructure, housing, vehicles, and farm buildings were received. 15 people were injured as a result of the enemy attack on the regional center.
The Defense Forces of Ukraine seized the tactical initiative in several directions in Zaporizhzhia oblast, forcing the occupiers to shift to defensive actions. Ukrainian troops have regained lost position towards Oleksandrivka and pushed russian forces back in the Stepnohirsk area towards Orikhiv. According to Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian forces are currently succeeding in counterattacks along Zaporizhzhia frontline, but it is still too early to speak of a full enemy withdrawal. Ukrainian troops are trying to force russian forces to move from offensive to defensive operations.
According to the General Staff, as of 16:00 on 27 May, the Defense Forces successfully repelled 17 enemy attacks in the vicinity of Rybne, Dobropillia, Pryluky, and Zaliznychne, Nove Zaporizhzhia, Huliaipilske, Olennokostiantynivka, Staroukrainka, Tsvitkove, and Charne towards Huliaipole. The enemy attempted to advance five times in the areas of Stepnohirsk, Shcherbaky, Plavni, and Mali Shcherbaky towards Orikhiv. One engagement is still ongoing. On the previous day, 26 May, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 35 russian attacks towards Huliaipole direction and three more towards Orikhiv sector.
Mykolaiv oblast
Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration reported that yesterday, 26 May, the enemy attacked the region with Shahed-type UAVs. As a result of the attack, an administrative building and two apartment buildings were damaged in Mykolaiv. No casualties were reported.
Odesa oblast
Today, 27 May, russian forces attacked civilian infrastructure in Odesa oblast with strike drones. An enemy UAV strike damaged residential buildings, a Nova Poshta branch, and a grocery store in Odesa region. Several private vehicles caught fire. As of 18:00, 11 people were reported injured, including six men, three women, and two children aged 11 and 12. The victims sustained shrapnel wounds, burns, blast injuries, limb injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and acute stress reactions. Doctors assess the condition of three of the injured as serious.

Kherson oblast
The head of Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that today, as a result of russian shelling in Korabelnyi district of Kherson, a 36-year-old woman and her daughters aged 3 and 6 were injured.
Today at approximately 14:30, russian occupiers attacked a man with a drone in central Kherson. The 53-year-old resident suffered blast injuries and shrapnel wounds to the torso.
At 12:30, a man was injured as a result of russian shelling of central Kherson. The 51-year-old resident was diagnosed with blast injuries, a concussion, and shrapnel wounds to the leg.
At noon, russian occupiers struck an apartment building in Tsentralnyi district of Kherson with a Molniya drone. Windows in several apartments were shattered, and balconies and the building facade were damaged.
At approximately 11:30, russians attacked a motorcyclist with a drone in Bilozerka. The 60-year-old man suffered blast injuries and shrapnel wounds to his legs.
At around 09:40, russian occupiers attacked a vehicle with a drone in Chornobaivka. A 48-year-old man sustained a concussion, blast injuries, and a closed traumatic brain injury.
According to Kherson RMA, six residents of the region sought medical assistance today after suffering from previous russian attacks. Two residents of Pryozerne, whose house was attacked by a russian drone on 23 May, sustained blast injuries, concussions, and acute stress reactions. A 41-year-old Kherson resident who was injured yesterday morning during shelling of Korabelnyi district suffered blast injuries and a concussion. A resident of Bilozerka who was injured during russian shelling yesterday morning was diagnosed with blast injuries and a concussion. Two residents of Bilozerka injured in russian shelling on 25 and 26 May sustained blast injuries and concussions. A woman from the village of Pryozerne who was attacked by a russian drone yesterday morning suffered blast injuries, a concussion, and shrapnel wounds to the head.
Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that yesterday, 26 May, russian forces attacked Antonivka, Sadove, Prydniprovske, Zymivnyk, Komyshany, Bilozerka, Stanislav, Sofiivka, Molodetske, Shyroka Balka, Tomyna Balka, Oleksandrivka, Romashkove, Rozlyv, Zorivka, Dniprovske, Mykilske, Ivanivka, Poniativka, Tokarivka, Beryslav, Zolota Balka, Ukrainka, Zmiivka, Kachkarivka, Lvove, Mylove, Mykhailivka, Novoberyslav, Novokairy, Novooleksandrivka, Osokorivka, Tiahynka, Chervonyi Maiak, and the city of Kherson. Five apartment buildings, seven private houses, an administrative building, a gas pipeline, and private vehicles were damaged. One person was killed, and 17 others were injured as a result of russian aggression.
