What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 4 pm:   

Since the beginning of the day, the total number of combat engagements along the entire front line stands at 82.

The occupiers continue to use aviation, including dropping guided aerial bombs (KAB), and carry out attacks. The Defense Forces hold their positions and take necessary measures to prevent breaches in defense.

The invaders persist in using artillery on territories bordering the enemy. Areas of the settlements of Oleksandrivka and Popivka in the Sumy region and Yasna Polyana in the Chernihiv region came under enemy fire.

Regional Updates:

  • Kharkiv Direction: Four combat engagements are ongoing near Vovchansk.
  • Kupiansk Direction: Two enemy assaults occurred near Pishchane and Lozova.
  • Lyman Direction: The enemy is attacking in the areas of Novoyehorivka, Kopanky, Makiivka, Terny, Zelena Dolyna, Zarichne, and Kolodiazi. Since the beginning of the day, eight engagements have been recorded in this direction, four of which are still ongoing.
  • Kramatorsk Direction: The Defense Forces repelled four enemy attempts to advance near Chasiv Yar, Stupochky, Predtechyne, and Bila Hora. Two engagements are currently ongoing.
  • Toretsk Direction: The enemy attacked positions of our forces seven times in the areas of Toretsk, Diliivka, and Shcherbynivka. Two engagements remain active.
  • Pokrovsk Direction: Today, the enemy attacked our defenders’ positions 37 times in the areas of Vodiane Druhe, Zelene Pole, Yelizavetivka, Myroliubivka, Sukhyi Yar, Zelene, Kotlyne, Udachne, Nadezhdynka, Kotliarivka, Uspenivka, Preobrazhenka, Bohdanivka, Shevchenko, Dachne, Ulakly, and Yantarnе. Ten engagements are still ongoing.
  • Novopavlivka Direction: Our defenders repelled six attacks in the areas of Novosilka, Kostyantynopil, Rozdolne, and Velyka Novosilka.
  • Orikhiv Direction: The enemy attacked twice near Novodanilivka and launched an airstrike in the same area.
  • Prydniprovske Direction: The enemy unsuccessfully attempted one assault on our forces’ positions.
  • Huliaipole and Siversk Directions: The enemy did not conduct offensive actions since the beginning of the day.
  • Kursk Direction: Eleven combat engagements occurred today, with two still ongoing. Additionally, the enemy carried out 11 airstrikes, dropped 14 guided bombs, and launched 156 artillery strikes, including two from multiple rocket launch systems (MLRS).

Defense Innovation:

The Ministry of Defense has added the all-terrain vehicle “Ravlyk” (Snail) of Ukrainian production to the Defense Forces’ fleet. It is easily transportable via a trailer, capable of carrying several hundred kilograms of cargo or a trailer weighing nearly two tons. This reliable mobile platform is dust- and water-resistant and operates in both freezing and hot conditions. Equipped with an electric motor and all-terrain tires, the “Ravlyk” is silent and can easily navigate off-road terrain, bogs, sandy areas, narrow ditches, and low vertical obstacles. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Defense Dmytro Klimenkov.

Missing Persons Update:

Approximately 60,000 Ukrainians are currently considered missing. Since the implementation of the Unified Register of Persons Missing Under Special Circumstances, information about over 70,000 missing persons has been recorded. As of today, around 60,000 remain actively searched for. This information was shared by the Head of the Missing Persons Unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Bohatyuk.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

Frontline Situation
As of 4:00 PM, four engagements are ongoing near Vovchansk in the Kharkiv direction, according to the General Staff.

In the Kupiansk direction, two assaults by the occupiers have taken place near Pishchane and Lozova since the beginning of the day.

In the Lyman direction, Russian forces are attacking near, among other areas, Kopanky. A total of eight engagements have been recorded here today, with four still ongoing.

Yesterday, in the Kharkiv direction, the enemy launched four assaults on Ukrainian Armed Forces’ positions near Vovchansk.

In the Kupiansk direction, 11 attacks by the occupiers were recorded during the day. Defense Forces repelled assaults near Stepova Novoselivka, Kolisnykivka, Hlushkivka, and Zahryzove.

There is no significant activity from Russian forces in Vovchansk, but the occupiers are attempting to improve their tactical positions, said Ruslan Mikula, co-founder of the analytical project DeepState.

Shelling
The occupiers struck the village of Kindrashivka in the Kupiansk district. According to the regional administration (OVA), a 61-year-old woman was injured in the shelling. She is in moderate condition and has been hospitalized.

The previous day, Russian forces targeted settlements in the Kharkiv region with MLRS, aviation, mortars, artillery, and UAVs. The Russian army continues to destroy civilian infrastructure, with 77 residential buildings damaged in Kupiansk.

At 5:00 AM, the occupiers shelled the village of Zahryzove in the Izium district, damaging a residential house, according to police reports.

The city of Kupiansk was attacked at 1:40 PM using KAB bombs. Private homes, power lines, an outbuilding, and a garage were damaged.

At 1:55 PM, the Russians deployed a FAB-500 bomb, causing further damage to private homes.

At 2:18 PM, another FAB-500 bomb targeted Kupiansk, reported the OVA. Tragically, a 95-year-old woman and a 72-year-old woman were killed in the attack. Their bodies were recovered from the rubble of a house.

At 14:15, the Russians attacked using KAB. Private houses, utility buildings, and vehicles were damaged. An 86-year-old civilian woman was injured.

At 15:15, the Russians attacked using a “Molniya” UAV. Road surfaces were damaged.

The occupiers attacked the village of Mala Danylivka in the Kharkiv district at 15:20 due to the crash of a downed UAV. Apartment buildings were damaged, but no casualties were reported.

Other Updates
Russian occupiers in Dvorichna, Kharkiv region, likely killed a 59-year-old man, according to the head of the Kupiansk District Military Administration, Andrii Kanashevych. Preliminary reports suggest the killing occurred 3-4 days ago.

In Kharkiv, the second underground school in the city was opened on January 27. Currently, 750 children are studying there. After the completion of the second phase of construction, the number of students will increase to 1,000, according to Mayor Ihor Terekhov.

Donetsk oblast

Frontline

Russian occupiers have intensified their attacks toward Pokrovsk. Over the past day, Russian forces launched 78 assaults on Ukrainian positions, targeting areas near Myroliubivka, Promin, Zelenyi, Nadiivka, Udachne, and Kotlyne. This marks an increase from 52 assaults the previous day, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 21 attacks near Chasiv Yar, Stupochky, and Bila Hora.

Additionally, the Russian army attempted to advance 15 times in the Lyman direction, focusing on areas near Hrekivka, Novoyehorivka, Nadiia, Zelenyi Hai, Makiivka, Yampilivka, and Torske.

Russian troops detonated sections of the Siverskyi Donets–Donbas canal pipeline near Chasiv Yar in an effort to advance with armored vehicles. The Russian military has escalated pressure on the city over the past week, said Dmytro Zaporozhets, spokesperson for the Luhansk operational-tactical group.

Drone operators from the 110th Brigade destroyed five Russian artillery guns near the outskirts of Velyka Novosilka, the brigade reported. In the settlement itself, no intact buildings remain. Russian forces launched indiscriminate attacks on Velyka Novosilka, prompting Ukrainian soldiers to neutralize their artillery capabilities.

Shelling

This morning, Russian forces shelled the Kostiantynivka community in Donetsk Oblast. Using barrel artillery, the occupiers damaged two houses and a gas pipeline, said Serhii Horbunov, head of the Military-Civil Administration.

One civilian was killed in Donetsk Oblast due to shelling in the past 24 hours. Russian forces killed a woman in Pokrovsk, reported Vadym Filashkin, head of the Regional Military Administration. Four more residents of the region were injured in Kostiantynivka.

Police recorded 3,140 enemy strikes targeting the frontline and residential areas.

Russian forces attacked five cities: Kostiantynivka, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Rodynske, and Toretsk.

A total of 17 civilian structures were damaged, including 11 residential buildings.

In Pokrovsk, Russian forces attacked with artillery and drones, killing a woman born in 1931 and damaging a civilian vehicle. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the occupiers struck the central part of the city near the St. Michael’s Church.

In Myrnohrad, a drone strike damaged a civilian vehicle.

In Kostiantynivka, the occupiers dropped three FAB-250 bombs and shelled the city with artillery twice. Four civilians were injured, and damage was reported to four apartment buildings, seven private houses, a garage, a car, and two electrical networks.

Additionally, it was reported that on January 25, a civilian was killed in Chasiv Yar.

Other news
Around 300 people remain in the village of Serhiyivka, located on the border of Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions. The settlement has no centralized supply or electricity due to Russian shelling. Before the full-scale invasion, there were 1,200 residents.

In occupied Donetsk, a Georgian citizen, Nikolos Berianidze, was sentenced to life imprisonment. He had defended Mariupol as part of the “Azov” regiment, according to the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office.

Luhansk oblast

The enemy has again increased the use of drones: 291 UAVs were directed at Ukrainian Armed Forces positions in Luhansk region over the past day. According to the regional military administration, the occupiers also opened fire with artillery. They attacked in the areas of Hrekivka, Novohryhorivka, Nadiivka, and Makiivka.

In the so-called “LNR,” they do not recognize the debts owed to miners from 2014-2015. During that time, miners at coal mining enterprises captured in 2014 worked for nearly two years without receiving pay. In response to numerous appeals, the occupation ministry claims that the state-owned companies “Tsentruvuhillya” and “Antratsyt,” which the invaders later formed from the seized mines, are not considered successors to the original companies that mined coal in the “LNR” during 2014-2015. These companies also do not recognize the pension service years accumulated by workers during that period.

Starting March 1, Russian legislation will take effect in the so-called “LNR,” simplifying the procedure for expropriating land plots from individuals. If inspectors find a plot that is not being used, they can issue a fine and begin the process of its so-called “nationalization.” Land can be lost, for example, due to it being overgrown with garbage or weeds more than one meter high.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

In Kyiv oblast, “Preparation of the Population for National Resistance” course is ongoing. The training is organized by the NGO “Ukrainian Women’s Guard” together with instructors from the Volunteer Formation of Irpin City Territorial Community No.1 and the Municipal Guard. In the latest training, the participants of the Ukrainian Women’s Guard practiced tactical medicine skills and the evacuation of the wounded in combat conditions, as well as full-scale simulation scenarios involving the repulsion of an enemy assault using infantry and drones.

The Minister for Veterans Affairs, Natalia Kalmykova, announced that the Centre for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation in Borodianka plans to establish scientific platforms and conduct training for specialists supporting veterans. After the facility was completely destroyed by russian forces in March 2022, it was rebuilt and reopened in the spring of 2024.

Kyiv Regional Military Administration informed that a support centre for people in difficult life situations has been opened in Bucha. It will provide psychological assistance to victims of war and violence, consultations for the families of deceased soldiers and victims of armed aggression, as well as legal, social-medical, and information services. The centre is located on the premises of Saints Peter and Paul Church.

A march in memory of Belarusians who died for Ukraine since 2014 took place in Kyiv. It is held annually on 26 January, the birthday of the Hero of Heavenly Hundred, Mikhail Zhyznevskyi. This Sunday, about 150 people gathered and followed the path that Zhyznevskyi was taken on his final journey after being killed on Hrushevskyi Street during the Revolution of Dignity in 2014.

Volunteers are looking for new companions for a dog whose owners died in Brovary as a result of a “Shahed” attack in Kyiv oblast. During the shelling on 24 January, the dog managed to hide in the garage, where it stayed all day, not allowing anyone near. The charity organization “12 Guardians” reported that the animal is currently undergoing rehabilitation – they are helping it overcome stress, providing calming medication and tasty food.

In commemoration of International Holocaust Remembrance Day, the exhibition “Ukrainian-Jewish Century: Photos and Stories 1920–2024” has opened at “Living Memory” exhibition centre.

According to the Regional Military Administration, Kyiv oblast and British county of Buckinghamshire are working on establishing a partnership. At an online meeting with the representatives of the County Council, they discussed cooperation between communities, particularly in education, economy, and culture.

Zhytomyr oblast

A recruitment centre for the Air Assault Forces of Ukraine is operating in Zhytomyr. It is a modern space where anyone interested can obtain information about the terms of service, available vacancies, and requirements for candidates.

The Regional Military Administration reported that in the regional centre, a large-scale project to modernize the heating system is being actively implemented. The main goal is to install cogeneration units with a total capacity of 24.2MW, which will allow the simultaneous production of electricity and heat for the city. As of today, the installation of four cogeneration units has been completed, three of which are already generating electricity for the grid.

Sumy oblast

 Ksenia Pyatnytsia, the executive committee’s managing director informed that on 27 January, the russian army struck Seredyna-Buda. russian troops hit a multi-storey building, injuring a civilian man who was hospitalized. Additionally, due to the attack on electrical transformers, the city is without power. According to her, about three thousand residents remain in Seredyna-Buda.

According to the Regional Military Administration, in the sky over Sumy, anti-aircraft gunners shot down 7 enemy “Shahed” drones. Since the beginning of 2025, the region’s air defence units have destroyed 242 russian drones.

The Regional Military Administration reported that at night, the russian army attacked the Sumy community with drones. In Sumy and the village of Pishchane, non-residential premises and infrastructure facilities were damaged. No injuries were reported.

At night and in the morning, the russians carried out a total of 4 strikes using UAVs on the territory of Krasnopillia (1 explosion) and Sumy communities.

On 26 January, russians carried out 49 shelling attacks on border areas and settlements in Sumy oblast, resulting in 67 explosions: by mortars (18 explosions), artillery (9 explosions), UAVs (17 explosions), FPV-drones (20 explosions), GABs (3 explosions). The attacks targeted Khotin, Yunakivka, Myropillia, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Nova Slobidka, Shalyhyne, Seredyna-Buda, and Znob-Novhorod communities.

In Krasnopillia community, two cars were damaged due to russian shelling. According to the Regional Military Administration, the community was attacked by FPV-drones (13 explosions), explosive devices were dropped from enemy UAVs (8 explosions), mortar shelling (4 explosions), artillery shelling (2 explosions), and GAB launches (2 explosions).

In Seredyna-Buda community, the head of Rozhkivka elder council, Maksym Martynov, was injured in the shelling on 25 January. He is currently in the hospital.

According to the regional police, sappers neutralized a downed drone in Bilopillia region, which contained an explosive substance weighing 4kg.

As a result of the russian military strike on Sumy community on 26 January, 30 buildings were damaged, including 3 non-residential buildings, 10 multi-apartment residential buildings, 17 private residential buildings, and 3 cars. An operational headquarters was set up at the site of the strike, which included local government officials, the National Police of Ukraine, the State Emergency Service, and public organizations. To eliminate the consequences, 32 units of equipment and 151 people were involved.

The forum “Veteran Community – the Driving Force of Recovery and a Resource for Change” was held in Sumy oblast. The first regional Recovery Forum was organized within the framework of UNDP activities in Ukraine (component “Public Safety and Social Cohesion”). The main task for 2025 is to create veteran spaces in communities and the work of the regional veteran space.

Chernihiv oblast

According to State Border Guard Service, throughout 26 January, russian forces attacked two border communities in Chernihiv oblast. 

On the territory of Semenivka community, the enemy carried out 8 strikes by FPV-drones, 7 mortar strikes, and dropped 2 explosive devices from UAVs. As a result of the shelling of Kostobobriv village by FPV-drones (5 explosions), a gas pipeline was damaged.

In Snovsk community, the enemy dropped 7 explosive devices from UAVs on Khrinivka village.

Due to the russian shelling on 26 January, two villages in the border Semenivka community in Chernihiv oblast were left without gas. According to the head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Seliverstov, these are Kostobobriv and Arkhypivka, which are located a few kilometers from the border with russia. Due to the attack, 186 subscribers – residential buildings and civil infrastructure – were left without gas.

The head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, Viacheslav Chaus, informed that over the past week, the russian army carried out 123 strikes on 25 settlements in the oblast. A total of 284 explosions were recorded during this period. The enemy used artillery, mortars, and carried out 43 airstrikes with KABs, unguided aerial rockets, and strike FPV drones. As a result of the shelling, about 10 residential buildings in various districts of the region were damaged.

According to the Regional Military Administration, during the week of 20-26 January, the remains of two downed russian missiles and 26 UAVs were found in Chernihiv oblast.

Due to the shelling over the past week, 41 people have left the border villages of the Chernihiv oblast, including 11 children. Most people are settling in modular towns, finding housing in Chernihiv and Koriukivka region.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

The night was loud in the oblast as the enemy attacked Dnipropetrovsk by drones. A fire broke out in Dnipro, damaging 9 apartment buildings and a gas pipeline. Windows and roofs were shattered. In Samariskyi region, 3 private houses and an outbuilding were damaged, along with infrastructure. In the evening and at night, the enemy targeted Nikopol region by artillery and Grad, hitting Nikopol and Marhanets communities. A local enterprise was damaged.

Air defence forces were active during the evening and night. The military of the Air Command East destroyed 13 drones over the oblast.

The russian forces continued to terrorize residents of Nikopol region. 5 men aged 30 to 39 were injured during an artillery attack on the regional centre. They received necessary medical assistance, with one man remaining in the hospital in moderate condition.

The russian forces attacked not only Nikopol but also Marhanets, Pokrov and Chervonohryhorivka communities by artillery and kamikaze drones. The attacks damaged a private house, an enterprise, power lines and solar panels. Also, settlements in Synelnykove region were targeted, damaging 6 private houses and a gas pipeline.

Vinnytsia oblast

​​Posthumous honours were awarded to Oleksandr Bondar, defenders from Vinnytsia oblast. He was awarded the Order For Courage III Class. He was killed on 7 February 2024, near Staromaiske village, Volnovakha region, Donetsk oblast.

Oleksandr Orlov received the Golden Cross badge by order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Oleksii Leshchenko was also awarded the Golden Cross for personal courage, resilience, decisiveness and successful combat missions.

Kirovohrad oblast

Andrii Raikovych, Head of the RMA, reported that air defence forces were active in Kirovohrad oblast overnight, destroying enemy drones. There were no casualties or damages reported.

Poltava oblast

A memorial service for fallen serviceman Sergeant Mykola Kuznetsov was held at the Holy Dormition Cathedral of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine in Poltava. He was killed on 20 January 2025 in Kharkiv oblast while performing his duties.

Cherkasy oblast

Ihor Taburets, Head of the RMA, informed that air defence forces in Cherkasy oblast destroyed 7 attack drones. There were no injuries or damages reported.

Anatolii Zhhir, Director of Cherkasy school No.15, reported that at school, a memorial corner is being set up in honour of fallen students. Since 2014, 7 graduates of this school have died in the russia-Ukraine war. The installation symbolises gratitude and respect for their sacrifices.

According to Ihor Taburets, Cherkasy oblast sent another batch of aid to the front lines, including 100 FPV drones and 3 generators, purchased as part of the regional territorial defence program.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

On 27 January, russian forces once again carried out a massive shelling of the village of Stepnohirsk using guided aerial bombs. One of the bombs hit a nine-story building, destroying apartments from the 5th to the 9th floors. Emergency services extinguished fires in two apartments with a total area of 100 square meters. Four people were injured as a result of the shelling.

Yesterday, the occupiers launched 263 attacks on 11 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. 114 UAVs of various modifications attacked Lobkove, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Bilohiria, Luhivske, Malynivka, Novodarivka, and Olhivske. Four MLRS strikes targeted Mala Tokmachka, Novodarivka, and Novodanylivka. Additionally, 145 artillery strikes hit Lobkove, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Bilohiria, Luhivske, Malynivka, Novodarivka, and Olhivske. There were 18 reports of damaged private homes and apartments.

It is reported that the enemy twice attacked Ukrainian defenders near Novodanilivka towards Orikhiv and also launched an airstrike in the area.

A modern educational space was created in a shelter in one of the kindergartens in Voznesenivskyi district of Zaporizhzhia. The shelter covers an area of 140 square meters and is designed to accommodate 140 children. It features informational, educational, creative, recreational, and hygiene rooms. The shelter is equipped with a ventilation system and backup power supply.

Mykolaiv oblast

On the night of 27 January, air defense forces destroyed a Shahed 131/136 UAV in Mykolaiv oblast.

At 2:08 a.m. on 27 January, the enemy attacked the waters of Ochakiv community with an FPV-type drone. No casualties were reported.

During the Shahed drone attack on Mykolaiv on 21 January, the municipal enterprise “Mykolaivelektrotrans” was affected. New Dnipro trolleybuses, trams, special vehicles, tracks, and other infrastructure were damaged. According to the enterprise’s estimates, the damage caused by russian forces amounted to nearly 9 million hryvnias.

Odesa oblast

As of 6 a.m. on 27 January, there were two enemy ships in the Black Sea, including one missiles carrier equipped with up to four Kalibr missiles. Six enemy ships were present in the Mediterranean Sea, two of which were carriers of Kalibr missiles, with a total volley capacity of up to 22 missiles.

Over the past day, three vessels passed through the Kerch Strait into the Black Sea in russia’s interest, while nine ships transited into the Azov Sea.

A naval mine washed ashore on the coast of Odesa oblast. Navy forces neutralized the discovered explosive device through a controlled detonation.

On 27 January, in Odesa, Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction, Oleksii Kuleba, and Estonia’s Minister of Infrastructure, Vladimir Sviet, signed a memorandum of understanding on implementing the Recovery Plan for Ukraine’s maritime sector. The signing of this memorandum establishes a foundation for restoring and modernizing Ukraine’s maritime industry. The recovery plan will consist of two parts: civilian and military.

Kherson oblast

It is reported that russian invaders attacked a tractor in Kherson using a drone. As a result 44-year-old man was killed.

Today, russian forces attacked a man riding a scooter in Tomyna Balka with a drone. The 50-year-old resident suffered an explosive injury, shrapnel wounds to his forearm, and leg.

Around 1:00 p.m., russian troops launched another drone attack on Kherson. A 38-year-old man sustained an explosive injury and multiple shrapnel wounds to his legs.

Yesterday, russians shelled and launched airstrikes at the settlements of Molodizhne, Antonivka, Prydniprovske, Bilozerka, Rozlyv, Yantarne, Veletenske, Nadezhdivka, Ivanivka, Tokarivka, Stanislav, Sofiivka, Beryslav, Tiahynka, Zmiivka, Chervonyi Maiak, Dudchany, Mylove, Shliakhove, Havrylivka, Olhivka, Monastyrske, Respublikanets, Osokorivka, Burhunka, Lvove, Kozatske, Vesele, and the city of Kherson. Damage was reported to an apartment building, five private houses, and a private vehicle. Two people were killed, and one was injured  due to russian aggression.

According to the General Staff, the enemy made one unsuccessful attempt to attack Ukrainian positions on Prydniprovskyi front. Over the past day, russian losses amounted to 54 personnel, one “Hyacinth-B” gun, nine units of automotive and armored equipment, seven “Shahed” drones, three ATVs, two motorcycles, three boats, three electronic warfare systems, three generators, and two “Starlink” satellite terminals. Additionally, Ukrainian forces destroyed three personnel shelters, two ammunition storage sites, a firing position, an observation post, a UAV control antenna, and a communication antenna.

Work on establishing an underground hospital in one of the Kherson’s medical facilities is nearing completion. The hospital will include operating and intensive care units, intensive therapy wards, a treatment room, a laboratory, a medication storage room, and necessary medical equipment. A full renovation of the 560-square-meter premises has been completed. The shelter is equipped with an internal generator, electrical and water supplies, and a fire suppression system. Two other large projects are underway in the city: another underground hospital and a perinatal center. The total cost of all three projects exceeds 186 million UAH.

Last week, a team of medical professionals, including a family doctor, neurologist, endocrinologist, and cardiologist, visited Ivanivka, Mykolaivka, Mariine, and Arkhanhelske. In total, they provided assistance to 230 residents.

Volyn oblast

The RMA reported that 57 people have applied for the positions of veteran support specialists in oblast’s communities.

Zakarpattia oblast

The oblast received municipal equipment from Czech partners. Since all vehicles come in two sets – summer and winter, respectively, spare parts were delivered gradually.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

This night, the enemy attacked the region several times, using strike drones. Critical infrastructure facilities were targeted. No injuries were reported. Fires were reported. Relevant services are working on the scene.

Ivano-Frankivsk community sent 20 drones to the 25th Separate Airborne Brigade thanks to budget funds.

Lviv oblast

During the alert, which lasted from 05:35am to 06:25am, an enemy drone crossed the airspace of Lviv oblast. It did not enter the depths of the region, and soon returned to Ternopil oblast. Lviv oblast is calm. No calls to rescue services were recorded. All life support systems are operating normally.

17 people used the social transportation services operating at the Main Railway Station last week. The Rokada CF is assisting the Ptakha Ukraine NGO in evacuating citizens with the support of the Humanitarian Fund for Ukraine. Transportation is absolutely free and is designed to support victims arriving in Lviv oblast.

Rivne oblast

The Integration Center NGO in partnership with the World Central Kitchen ICF organized the distribution of food aid. It was delivered to places of temporary residence in Rivne oblast, where IDPs live. This is the 3rd time that philanthropists have supported new residents with food. This time, 850 families from 29 communities of Rivne oblast received assistance.

Ternopil oblast

A memorial plaque dedicated to the memory of Andrii Ihnatenko, fallen serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was installed in Ternopil. The Hero was killed 3 September 2024, during a rocket attack on a military unit in Poltava.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

At night, during an air alert signal, the Air Defense Forces destroyed 7 enemy Shahed UAVs. The attack damaged the windows and facade of the building. There were no injuries or deaths.

Khmelnytskyi community sent 20 DJI MATRICE 3T quadcopters worth UAH 3.3m to the military. They are equipped with a thermal imager and allow them to work both day and night.

Chernivtsi oblast

Last year, over UAH 114m was allocated from the regional budget for local programs to support the Security and Defense Forces, IDPs, veterans, and their families. This is almost 13.5% of its own revenues.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Kaia Kallas, Head of the European Union’s Foreign Policy Service, announced that the EU extended sanctions against russia for another 6 months.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, met with with Antonio Costa, President of the European Council. They discussed the increased sanctions pressure on russia and the 16th package of sanctions.
