It has been the 1065 th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 4 pm:   

Since the beginning of the day, there have been 119 combat engagements. The enemy launched two missile and 55 air strikes, using five missiles and 86 guided aerial bombs. They deployed 863 kamikaze drones for attacks and carried out over 4,400 shellings on our forces’ positions and settlements using various types of weaponry.

  • Kharkiv direction: One combat engagement occurred near the village of Lyptsi with Russian invaders.
  • Kupiansk direction: The enemy made nine attempts to push our units from their positions near Dvorichna, Zahryzove, and Petropavlivka. Combat engagements are still ongoing.
  • Lyman direction: The enemy attacked seven times, attempting to advance near Yampilivka, Novoiehorivka, Zelenyi Hai, and Kopanky.
  • Siversk direction: Our defenders repelled two enemy assaults near Ivano-Darivka and Bilohorivka.
  • Kramatorsk direction: The enemy launched two assaults on our defenders’ positions, with notable activity near Chasiv Yar.
  • Toretsk direction: In the areas of Dyliivka, Krymske, Shcherbynivka, and Toretsk, the enemy attempted to penetrate our defenses 12 times.

The enemy is intensively attacking Ukrainian defenders in the Pokrovsk direction, where 63 offensive actions were carried out today. The highest activity of Russian forces remains in the areas of Vodiane Druhe, Myroliubivka, Myrnohrad, Promin, Lysivka, Vidrodzhennia, Uspenivka, Andriivka, Shevchenko, Dachne, Ulakly, and Yantarne. One combat engagement is still ongoing.

As of now, 189 enemy soldiers were eliminated, with 190 more wounded in this direction. Additionally, one infantry fighting vehicle, nine automotive units, and two motor vehicles were destroyed. Five electronic warfare systems and eight UAV antennas were also eliminated. An artillery system and a satellite communication device of the enemy were damaged.

  • Novopavlivsk direction: Our defenders repelled seven enemy assaults near Novodarivka, Kostyantynopil, and Velyka Novosilka.
  • Prydniprovske direction: The enemy launched two assaults, both successfully repelled by our defenders.
  • Kursk region: Ukrainian defenders repelled 12 enemy attacks. Additionally, the enemy carried out 24 air strikes, dropping 38 guided aerial bombs, and conducted 358 shellings on our forces’ positions and civilian infrastructure in this region.

In other directions, the situation remains relatively unchanged.

Today, we recognize the heroic efforts of the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Mazepa, the 46th Separate Airmobile Brigade, the 118th Separate Mechanized Brigade, and the 406th Separate Artillery Brigade named after General-Chorunzhyi Oleksii Almazov, who, under extremely challenging conditions, continue to hold back superior enemy forces and inflict significant losses upon them.

At dawn on January 23, Russia attacked Zaporizhzhia, with at least four explosions reported. According to Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, one person was killed, and 51 others were injured to varying degrees, including an infant.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has announced the beta testing of a new service – electronic referrals for military medical commissions (VLC). Defense Minister Rustem Umerov stated that initially, citizens who voluntarily wish to undergo a VLC will be able to generate referrals. Later, the service will expand to include those who have received a paper summons for the VLC process

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

Frontline

On the Kharkiv axis, Russian forces conducted one assault during the day. Kozacha Lopan, Turove, and Mali Prokhody came under airstrikes, while Krasnyi Yar was hit by unguided aerial rockets, according to the General Staff.

On the Kupiansk axis, Ukrainian forces repelled five Russian assaults near Dvorichna, Zahryzove, and Petropavlivka. As of 16:00, three additional attacks were ongoing.

On the Lyman axis, Russian occupiers launched three attacks in the areas of Zelenyi Hai and Kopanky. One skirmish is still unresolved. Borivska Andriivka was hit by unguided aerial rockets.

On the Vovchansk axis in northern Kharkiv region, Russian forces are conducting fewer assaults, but the military situation remains tense. The frequency of attacks, especially those involving aviation, has increased, stated Oleksandr Danylenko, head of the “Hart” Brigade’s media relations team.

The previous day, Russian forces conducted no offensive actions on the Kharkiv axis.

On the Kupiansk axis, there were seven assaults by Russian occupiers. Ukrainian defense forces repelled attacks near Lozova, Zahryzove, and Petropavlivka.

A significant part of Dvorichna remains under Russian control, according to Ruslan Mykula, co-founder of the DeepState analytical project, speaking on January 23.

Shelling

In Petropavlivka, a 54-year-old woman was killed by an FPV drone strike around 13:00. The enemy continues to terrorize civilians in the Kharkiv region.

Two Russian KAB bombs struck Zolochivska community around 12:20, reported community head Viktor Kovalenko. One bomb hit an open area near Udy, and the other near Rozsokhuvate. There were no reported injuries or damage, according to Kovalenko.

In Derhachi, cleanup operations are underway following a morning Shahed drone strike. Five private homes and several outbuildings sustained varying degrees of damage, according to community leader Vyacheslav Zadorenko. A Shahed strike in Zolochivska community earlier in the morning occurred near the Zolochiv-Dovzhyk highway, added Kovalenko.

At 06:28 in Novoselivka, a fire broke out following the detonation of a drone warhead. A private utility structure covering an area of 40 square meters caught fire. Two neighboring houses were damaged, according to the regional rescue service.

At 05:40, Russian forces launched a Shahed UAV strike on open terrain near the village of Lytvynove in the Zolochiv community, damaging a power line.

At 02:55, Russian forces dropped a munition on a house in Pidlyman, Borova community. The fire engulfed the residence, a utility structure, and a summer kitchen, covering an area of 180 square meters.

During the past day, the occupiers launched 9 Shahed UAVs against unarmed residents of Kharkiv Oblast — 6 were shot down by air defense forces. FPV drones and guided bombs (KAB) were also reported.

  • 22:57 – Russian forces attacked Podvirky village, Solonytsivska community, Kharkiv district. The strike hit open ground, partially damaging 14 private homes.
  • 21:35 – Solonytsivska village council, Kharkiv district, was shelled. A private house sustained window glass damage.
  • 17:54 – Morozivka village, Savynska community, Izium district, was targeted. The attack hit open ground, with no casualties or destruction reported.
  • 14:01 – Bugayivka village, Starosaltivska community, Chuhuiv district, came under fire, igniting dry grass over an area of 200 square meters.
  • 13:00 – Osynove village, Kupiansk community, Kupiansk district, was shelled, damaging one private home.
  • 09:20 – Hatne village, Velykoburlutska community, Kupiansk district, was struck, causing damage to private houses and a school building.

Evacuations

  • Amid intensified evacuation efforts from Kupiansk and Borivske directions, 17 people (including 3 children) were evacuated.
  • Since October 2024, 4,243 residents (including 519 children) have been evacuated from Borivska community. An additional 1,500 civilians remain to be evacuated from 29 settlements.
  • Since July 2023, 6,675 people (including 343 children and 6 individuals with disabilities) have been relocated from Kupiansk direction. Approximately 6,500 residents still require evacuation.
  • The forced evacuation zone in Kupiansk region has been expanded for families with children due to increased Russian shelling, according to OVA head Oleh Syniehubov.
  • A total of 267 children and their families are to be evacuated from four settlements in Velykoburlutska community and 12 villages in Kindrashivska community.

Other News

  • Brendan Bellomo and Kharkiv native Slava Leontyev’s film “Porcelain War” has been nominated for an Oscar as Best Documentary. The film tells the story of Ukrainian ceramic artists Slava, Anya, and Andriy, who decided to stay and fight amid the war.

 

Donetsk oblast

Frontline

Russian military forces allegedly executed six Ukrainian prisoners of war in the Donetsk region. Law enforcement agencies have launched an investigation into the war crime, as reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.

The Ukrainian command is reinforcing the units defending Velyka Novosilka and has a contingency plan in case the situation worsens. The settlement is not completely encircled, but there is a threat of operational encirclement, according to the “Khortytsia” Operational and Strategic Grouping of Troops (OSU).

Ukrainian forces eliminated approximately 100 occupiers who were hiding in the drainage system of the Siverskyi Donets-Donbas canal near Chasiv Yar. Russian troops had been amassing there for four days, from January 4 to 8, intending to launch an offensive toward the city, according to the “Luhansk” Operational and Tactical Group. On January 21, Russian forces set fire to the drainage system to conceal their infantry losses, as reported by the operational-tactical group. The fire and smoke lasted about five hours.

The Russian army continues to apply pressure in the direction of Pokrovsk. Over the past day, Russian forces attacked the city 62 times—accounting for more than half of all battles along the contact line on January 22. The occupiers attempted to advance, particularly near Kotlyne, Leontovychi, Promin, Ulakly, and Dachne, according to the General Staff’s report.

In the Toretsk sector of the front, Ukrainian defenders repelled 14 Russian attacks in urban areas.

Additionally, Russian forces conducted 11 assaults toward Lyman, specifically near Zarichne, Yampolivka, and in the Serebryanske forest.

Shelling

Russian forces also launched artillery strikes on Kostyantynivka during the day, between 11:10 and 11:30. A 53-year-old woman was killed, and her 70-year-old husband was injured. The occupiers carried out an airstrike on the city’s residential sector, according to the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

In Pokrovsk, a 44-year-old man delivering bread was injured by Russian forces. The occupiers attacked the city around 9 a.m. using a drone, according to Anastasia Medvedeva, spokeswoman for the regional prosecutor’s office.

In Kramatorsk, the occupiers reportedly dropped a FAB-250 aerial bomb equipped with a planning and correction module, as reported by the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office. The strike hit a residential area. Two men, aged 41 and 64, sustained injuries, including traumatic brain injuries, concussions, and bruises.

The Russian aerial bomb damaged at least 16 houses and city infrastructure. Power line poles, street lighting and internet communication lines, an above-ground gas pipeline, and one vehicle were destroyed, according to the Military-Civil Administration (MCA).

Around 1:00 AM, Russian forces attacked Kramatorsk and the village of Krasny Liman – private houses were damaged, but no casualties were reported at this stage.

Over the past 24 hours, Russians dropped 16 bombs on Donetsk region – one person was killed, and eight others were wounded.

The police recorded 3,337 enemy shellings along the front line and in residential areas.

Ten settlements were under attack. 118 civilian buildings were destroyed, including 40 residential houses.

Yesterday, Kostiantynivka endured 17 attacks: the enemy hit the city with 15 FAB-250 aerial bombs, artillery, and drones. Two more airstrikes occurred today, January 23, at around 4:20 AM. As a result of the massive shelling, one civilian was killed, and eight others were injured. Nine multi-apartment buildings and 18 private houses were damaged, along with 18 outbuildings, 25 garages, 13 civilian cars, two administrative buildings, a café, a boiler room, 7 power lines, and 6 gas pipelines.

In Pokrovsk, artillery shelling damaged two private houses, an outbuilding, and a car.

In Sloviansk, an enemy drone damaged an office building. In Yarovaya and Molocharka, three private houses were affected in each location, and one household was damaged in Mykolaivka.

Russian forces shelled the town of Maiaky with the Tornado-S multiple rocket launcher system using cluster munitions – 4 private homes and a civilian vehicle were damaged.

Other In the temporarily occupied Mariupol, the number of stray dogs is increasing, and they are attacking people. Rabies is spreading throughout the city. In one day, about five patients can be treated for dog bites in the hospital, reports the Mariupol City Council.

Luhansk oblast

The enemy used a large number of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Along the front line in Luhansk region, 213 UAVs were directed at the Ukrainian Armed Forces yesterday. Additionally, the Russians fired artillery 11 times. The occupiers conducted assaults near Kuzmine and in the Serebriansky Forest.

In the Kremlin, there are calls for young people to sign contracts with the Russian army after graduating from school. A bill has been adopted in the first reading, which extends the validity period of entrance exams for higher educational institutions. Normally, the “Unified State Exam” certificate in Russian universities can be used within four years. However, Russian authorities believe that in four years, former schoolchildren will not have enough time to fulfill their “duty to the motherland,” so they decided to exclude military service time in the Russian army from this period.

Since January 1, new Russian tariffs have been introduced in the so-called “LNR” for property registration. Compared to 2024, the fee has been doubled. Now, the state duty for registering property rights on real estate via a sales or gift agreement is 44,000 rubles for legal entities, instead of the previous 22,000 rubles.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

In Kyiv oblast, debris from downed enemy targets damaged four private houses, a car, a power line, and a café building in one of the settlements. According to the Head of the Regional Military Administration, Mykola Kalashnyk, the oblast was attacked by drones overnight. No casualties among the population were reported, and no critical or residential infrastructure was hit..

The Regional Military Administration reported that Kyiv oblast and Canadian province of Ontario are working on establishing a partnership. The parties are discussing prospects for collaboration in key areas such as healthcare, education, economy, culture, community cooperation, and energy. Separate working groups are planned to be created for each of these areas.

As part of the nationwide mental health program “How Are You?” in Kyiv, an electronic guide titled “Mental Health Services Routes” has been developed. Kyiv City State Administration informed that the guide is continuously updated and includes information about municipal, community, and private organizations providing social and psychological support.

Zhytomyr oblast

The Regional Military Administration reported that in Zhytomyr Oblast, a new air raid warning system is being tested. The key difference from the usual system is the ability to issue alerts specific to certain districts when, based on data from the Air Force, the potential threat does not concern the entire region. This will allow unaffected regions to continue working and learning without interruption.

On 22 January, police in Zhytomyr received a mobile demining camp from Republic of Estonia. The camp consists of nine trailers accommodating 44 people. These units are equipped with sleeping quarters, a kitchen, shower cabins, toilets, a laundry area, and a technical workspace. All trailers are fitted with air conditioning and heat pumps.

Sumy oblast

 The regional military administration reported that on 23 January, anti-aircraft guns shot down 7 enemy UAVs of “Shahed” type in the sky over Sumy Oblast. Since the beginning of 2025, 212 enemy drones have been destroyed by the region’s air defense units.

In Sumy Oblast, aerial reconnaissance near the border with russia detected an enemy group and targeted it with strike UAVs. According to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the enemy infantry retreated, but one of the occupiers was captured with the help of a drone.

“North” Operational Command reported that as a result of a GAB strike on Pyharivka village on 23 January, three buildings of an agricultural enterprise were damaged. In Seredyna-Buda, the enemy launched FPV-drone attacks and dropped explosives from a UAV, damaging a critical infrastructure facility. 

During night and morning, russians carried out 9 shelling attacks on border areas and settlements in Sumy oblast, resulting in 14 explosions: GAB launching (8 hits) and mortar fire (6 mines).  The attacks targeted Khotin, Bilopillia, Seredyna-Buda, and Znob-Novhorod communities.

On 22 January, russians carried out 49 shelling attacks on border areas and settlements in Sumy oblast, resulting in 76 explosions. The enemy launched GAB from plane (5 hits), attacked by FPV-drones (26 hits), amd mortars (18 hits). The attacks targeted Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Nova Slobidka, Hlukhiv, Shalyhyne, Seredyna-Buda, and Svesa communities.

As a result of enemy shelling in Seredyna-Buda community, an auxiliary building of a healthcare facility and a private house were damaged. russian forces launched GAB strikes (4 explosions), dropped explosive devices from enemy UAVs (2 explosions), carried out FPV-drone attacks (7 explosions), and mortar shelling (7 explosions) on the community’s territory.

Emergency recovery works have been completed at the site of the enemy strike in  Sumy. Rescue climbers from the State Emergency Service conducted high-altitude operations to dismantle the damaged structures of the residential building struck the previous day. Sumy Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported that law enforcement officers have identified the russian military command responsible for organizing the aviation strike on Putyvl in Sumy oblast in May 2022. Five generals and two colonels have been notified of suspicion. On 28 May, 2022, russian forces carried out an airstrike on a civilian target using a guided glide bomb of UPAB-1500 type (weighing 1500 kg). This extremely heavy bomb hit an agricultural complex within the community, destroying several buildings of the local agricultural company and damaging the facilities of two colleges.

In Sumy oblast, police bomb disposal experts neutralized the russian X-59 missile that failed to detonate after being shot down. The officers conducted a thorough inspection of the discovered munition and separated the warhead from the missile body. To reduce risks, the missile was transported to a safe location away from residential areas and neutralized through a controlled detonation.

Executive Committee Manager Ksenia Piatnytsia informed that before the full-scale invasion, more than 10,000 people lived in Seredyna-Buda community; now, the population is around 5,000. In Seredyna-Buda, the population has decreased from over 7,500 to approximately 3,000 residents.

Chernihiv oblast

Air defense forces of the Operational Command “North” reported that on January 23, russian drone was shot down over Chernihiv, landing near the “Epicenter” hypermarket. According to the National Police of the oblast, bomb disposal experts inspected the downed drone and found no explosive materials inside.

Operational Command “North” informed that during 22 January, the russian army attacked three communities in Chernihiv oblast using unmanned aerial vehicles, drones, guided aerial bombs, and launched a missile strike.

Novhorod-Siverskyi community: one strike by a guided aerial bomb near Muravii village, one missile strike on Blystova village.

Semenivka community: two UAV drops of explosive devices and one strike by an FPV-drone near Liskivshchyna village; one strike by an FPV-drone near Mykolaivka village.

Pyrotechnicians from Chernihiv Regional State Emergency Service received a “Kozak PM-L” pyrotechnic vehicle from Slovenian government, supported by the UNITED24 platform. This high-mobility vehicle features an armored cabin and is designed for transporting small-caliber explosive objects to disposal sites.

As part of the “Side by Side: United Communities” project, six communities in Chernihiv oblast have partnered with communities from Kyiv, Poltava, Vinnytsia, and Cherkasy oblast. The partners assist with reconstruction, educational and cultural exchanges, and humanitarian support.

 According to village elder Serhii Pomozok, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, over 300 internally displaced persons (IDPs) have settled in villages of Zhadiiv Starostyn District. He noted that the population of Zhadiiv has increased by approximately 30%, leaving almost no vacant housing suitable for living in the villages.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of the RMA, reported that at night, the occupiers attacked Marhanets community in Nikopol region twice by artillery and launched a kamikaze drone, causing a fire.

Today, the enemy targeted 2 regions of the oblast, Nikopol and Synelnykove. Nikopol was shelled nearly 10 times by artillery, kamikaze drones and bombs dropped from UAVs. The attacks hit the regional centre, Marhanets, Myrove and Pokrov communities, damaging a multi-story building and a private house.

Synelnykove region was shelled by artillery and a drone. A private house, a farm structure and a car were damaged.

Vinnytsia oblast

​​According to Vinnytsia Mayor Serhii Morhunov,  from Vinnytsia, the 3rd Assault Brigade was reinforced with 200 FPV GRIMS drones.

Kirovohrad oblast

In Svitlovodsk of Oleksandriia region an American organisation will provide free restoration of nearly 600 windows damaged during a russian shelling on 25 December 2024.

Poltava oblast

On 23 January, a memorial plaque was unveiled on the facade of Poltava school in honour of Ukrainian defender Serhii Pysarenko. A native of Poltava, he died on 18 October 2023, in a Lviv hospital after prolonged treatment. The soldier sustained severe injuries in Donetsk oblast in March 2023.

Cherkasy oblast

Ihor Taburets, Head of the RMA, informed that at night, Ukrainian defenders destroyed a russian UAV over Cherkasy oblast. 

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Ivan Fedorov, Head of the RMA, reported that on the night of 23 January, russian forces launched 4 strikes on Zaporizhzhia. A 47-year-old man was killed in the attack. Among the 51 injured were a 2-month-old baby, 2 energy workers and 4 SES employees. One of the missiles struck a residential neighborhood, completely destroying a 2-story apartment building. The attack also damaged the greenhouse at Zaporizhzhia Botanical Garden and the building of Zaporizhzhia Regional Museum of Local Lore. According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, criminal case has been opened regarding the russian shelling of Zaporizhzhia.

Ivan Fedorov stated that on 22 January, russian forces carried out 361 strikes on 10 towns and villages in Zaporizhzhia oblast, including 4 missile strikes on Zaporizhzhia and 4 airstrikes on Temyrivka.

Referring to the CMA, In temporarily occupied Berdiansk, a car exploded near an FSB office. Preliminary reports indicate that 2 russian security service employees were killed and another was seriously injured.

Mykolaiv oblast

According to the RMA, on the night of 23 January, air defence forces in Mykolaiv oblast shot down 9 Shahed 131/136 drones. Debris fell on a household area in Pervomaisk region and the blast wave damaged windows in 2 houses. There were no casualties reported.

On 22 January, russian forces attacked Ochakiv city twice by FPV drones. There were no injuries reported.

Odesa oblast

Based on the information provided by the Ukrainian Navy, as of the morning of January 23, one russian ship was operating in the Black Sea, serving as a carrier of Kalibr cruise missiles with a total salvo of up to 4 missiles. The Navy also noted that russia continues to violate the 1974 International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) by disabling Automatic Identification Systems.

Kherson oblast

Roman Mrochko, Head of the CMA, reported that russian forces attacked Dniprovskyi district of Kherson by a drone. A 27-year-old man with blast and shrapnel injuries was hospitalised.

The russian forces attacked Korabelnyi district of Kherson by UAVs, injuring a 60-year-old woman and damaging a vehicle. 

Around 11am, russian forces shelled residential areas in Korabelnyi district, damaging houses and cars. There were no casualties reported.

Referring to the State Emergency Service, in one apartment in Kherson, an explosion from russian shelling damaged a door lock, trapping an elderly woman inside. Rescuers helped her escape.

According to the Southern Defence Forces, during the day, Ukrainian forces destroyed 10 artillery systems, 2 mortars, 19 vehicles, a tank and Groza electronic warfare system. They also hit 2 russian firing positions and an observation post, eliminating 48 occupiers.

The RMA reported that a resident of Komyshany, injured the previous day, sought medical assistance. The 58-year-old man was diagnosed with blast trauma, a concussion and a brain contusion.

On 22 January, russian aviation dropped 8 guided bombs on Beryslav in Kherson oblast, one of which hit a factory. There were no casualties reported.

Oleksandr Prokudin,Head of the RMA, informed that russian shelling wounded 7 people in Kherson oblast. The russian forces struck 42 settlements, targeting a fire and rescue unit, a cell tower and 12 private houses.

Volyn oblast

Lutsk City Council held a meeting with the representative of the United Nations Children’s Fund Aliza Belman. Support was discussed.

The 95th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade of Polissya received 2 DJI Mavic 3 Pro RC quadcopters from Lutsk community.

Zakarpattia oblast

On 22 December, the civil-military cooperation group of the headquarters of one of the military units and representatives of the municipal institution Veterans’ Space Vdoma” of Zakarpattia Regional Council met in Mukachevo with families of the deceased, missing under special circumstances, and captured military personnel. They discussed the issues of searching for the missing, the return of military personnel from captivity, social guarantees, including changes in the procedure for paying cash benefits to military personnel who are missing and captured, other urgent issues and the needs of military personnel’s families. The children of the deceased, missing under special circumstances, and captured military personnel were presented with gifts.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The President of Ukraine posthumously awarded Roman Holub, Commander of an Engineering and Sapper Unit, from the Carpathian region the Hero of Ukraine title. Roman Holub was killed in December 2023 in Donetsk oblast.

Lviv oblast

By decree of Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, Mykola Vytak, Petro Hulkevych, Ostap Moroz and Roman Serembitskyi, from Hnizdychiv community, were awarded with the III degree For Courage Order (posthumously).

A memorial plaque in honor of Taras Kusen, serviceman of the Motorized Infantry Battalion of the Military Unit A0998, was installed in Biskovytsk community. He was killed on 19 May, 2023 in the city of Bakhmut, Donetsk oblast.

Defenders of the 103rd Separate Territorial Defense Brigade named after Metropolitan Andrii Sheptytskyi were awarded For Courage Orders, Cross of the Brave honorary badges, Golden Cross honorary badges and other distinctions.

Rivne oblast

The RMA held a meeting dedicated to the implementation of the Safe Oblast system in the oblast. The key goal of the Safe Rivne Oblast system is to develop an effective infrastructure to increase the level of public safety.

Ternopil oblast

Ternopil City Council reported that the city will receive new low-floor trolleybuses thanks to the support of international partners.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Khmelnytskyi City Council reported that the community has allocated an additional UAH 66.5m for the Defense Forces.

Chernivtsi oblast

In Chernivtsi, as part of the Father’s Heart campaign, children of soldiers who gave their lives for Ukraine were presented with commemorative pendants as a sign of gratitude and memory of their parents. The name and surname of the fallen Hero are engraved on the back, so that his “heart” will always be close to his loved ones.

During the large-scale war, Canada froze over $350m in russian assets. In addition, it also blocked $387.200 in financial transactions and froze $148.500 in assets related to sanctioned individuals from belarus.

In February, the third group of Ukrainian Legion volunteers in Poland will sign contracts with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The group will also include those Ukrainians who did not have time to arrive in Lublin during the 2nd contract signing on 10 January.

The Knights of Light exhibition has opened in France at the Vasyl Slipak Cultural Center at the Embassy of Ukraine. Visitors can see works by Ukrainian military artists and works by Volodymyr Patyk, provided by the Volodymyr Patyk Foundation.
