It has been the 1461  th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 4 pm:   

Since the beginning of the day, 40 combat engagements have taken place along the front line.

The enemy launched artillery shelling from the territory of the Russian Federation targeting the areas of the following settlements: Leonivka and Arkhipivka in Chernihiv region; Bezsalivka, Budky, Volfyne, Rohizne, Sukhodil, Ryzhivka, Novovasylivka, Holyshivske, Neskuchne, Nova Huta, and Tovstodubove in Sumy region.

In the Northern Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, the enemy carried out 52 shelling attacks on populated areas and the positions of our units, including six attacks using multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Southern Slobozhanskyi direction, no enemy offensive actions have been recorded so far.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attempted one attack near Pishchane.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled five attacks by the invaders near Drobysheve and towards Novoserhiivka, Shyikivka, and Lyman.

In the Sloviansk and Kramatorsk directions, no enemy offensive actions have been recorded so far.

In the Kostiantynivka direction, the invaders carried out ten offensive actions near Shcherbynivka, Ivanopillia, Sofiivka, Berestok, and towards Kostiantynivka and Novopavlivka. Four attacks are still ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, Russian occupiers have made 13 attempts to push our defenders from their positions in the areas of Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Udachne, and towards the settlement of Shevchenko.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, the aggressor attacked three times near the settlement of Ternove and towards Vyshneve. Airstrikes targeted the areas of Havrylivka, Velykomykhailivka, Prosyana, and Levadne.

In the Huliaipole direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled eight attacks by the occupiers near Huliaipole and towards Zaliznychne. In addition, enemy aviation struck the settlements of Vozdvyzhivka, Myrne, Huliaipilske, Novoselivka, Charivne, Dolynka, Luhivske, and Liubytske.

In the Orikhiv and Prydniprovske directions, no enemy offensive actions have been recorded so far. The settlement of Orikhiv was hit by guided aerial bombs.

In other directions, no significant changes in the situation have been recorded at this time.

Ukrainian forces continue to wear down the enemy along the entire line of contact and in the rear areas.

In 2025, Russian forces killed 2,514 civilians in Ukraine, and another 12,142 were injured. This was reported by the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine. This represents a 31% increase compared to 2024 and a 70% increase compared to 2023.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has blocked more than 14,000 Russian cyberattacks. In recent years, Ukraine has consistently ranked among the top five most targeted countries in cyberspace worldwide. In 2025 alone, the SBU’s Department of Counterintelligence for the Protection of State Interests in the Information Security Sphere neutralized more than 2,500 attempts to penetrate Ukrainian systems.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

Over the past day, 130 combat engagements were recorded.

In the Southern Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy carried out one assault on the positions of our units near Dvorichanske.

In the Kupiansk direction, one attack by the invaders took place yesterday. The Defense Forces repelled the enemy’s assault towards Hlushkivka.

Over the past week, 1,278 combat engagements occurred along the front line.

During the past day, eight settlements in Kharkiv region came under enemy fire.

As a result of the shelling, two people were injured.

In the morning, the enemy attacked the Kholodnohirskyi and Osnovianskyi districts of Kharkiv. Currently, two casualties are known: a 55-year-old man was wounded, and a 70-year-old woman suffered acute stress. A fire covering 10 square meters broke out at an industrial facility following Russian strikes on the Osnovianskyi district of Kharkiv on the morning of February 23, said Yevhen Vasylenko, spokesperson for the regional department of the State Emergency Service, during a briefing.

According to the city council, at least seven residential buildings were also damaged.

In the village of Pechenihy, a 44-year-old woman was injured; in the village of Podoly of the Kurylivka community, a 69-year-old man was injured.

A 41-year-old man was killed in Andriivka of the Velykyi Burluk community on the evening of February 22: at around 21:00, Russia struck Shkilna Street with an FPV drone, reported the head of the district military administration, Andrii Kanashevych. He also reported that on February 22 information was received about the deaths of a 30-year-old man and a 59-year-old woman in Novoosynove.

The enemy actively used various types of weapons in Kharkiv region:

▪️1 Geran-2 type UAV;
▪️3 Lancet type UAVs;
▪️1 Molniya type UAV;
▪️3 FPV drones;
▪️1 UAV (type being determined).

Civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged and destroyed:

▪️In Kupiansk district: a gas station (village of Hrushivka), a private house, an outbuilding, and a car (village of Novomykolaivka);
▪️In Izium district: 4 vehicles (city of Barvinkove);
▪️In Chuhuiv district: a civilian enterprise (urban-type settlement of Pechenihy).

Over the past week, 48 settlements in Kharkiv region, including the city of Kharkiv, were subjected to enemy strikes.

Seventeen people were injured as a result of shelling.

Three fatalities have been confirmed.

The enemy actively used various types of weapons in Kharkiv region:

▪️2 missiles;
▪️9 guided aerial bombs (KAB);
▪️32 Geran-2 type UAVs;
▪️6 Lancet type UAVs;
▪️4 Molniya type UAVs;
▪️23 FPV drones;
▪️77 UAVs (type being determined).

Civilian infrastructure in Kharkiv district suffered the most damage: windows in an apartment building were shattered; 8 private houses, an outbuilding, 3 vehicles, a civilian enterprise, and a farm were damaged; 100 pigs were killed.

Significant damage was also recorded in Lozova district: 2 apartment buildings, 3 private houses, an outbuilding, 5 vehicles, railway infrastructure, power grids, and a recreation center were damaged.

In the city of Kharkiv, the enemy damaged 2 apartment buildings, a private house, a civilian building, and 2 vehicles. Units of the State Emergency Service neutralized 75 enemy munitions.

Over the past day, the transit evacuation point in Lozova received 44 people. Since the beginning of its operation, a total of 20,042 people have been registered at the point.

Donetsk oblast

Ukrainian troops repelled 15 assaults over the past day near Kostiantynivka. Russian forces attacked near Pleshchiivka, Sofiivka, and towards Illinivka and Stepanivka, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In the Pokrovsk sector, 26 combat engagements took place over the day.

In the Kostiantynivka direction in Donetsk region, the intensity of attacks has decreased compared to the previous two months, said Viacheslav Hudz, commander of the 3rd Mechanized Battalion of the 44th Separate Mechanized Brigade.

In the temporarily occupied part of Donetsk region, the Defense Forces struck two Russian army depots containing ammunition and logistical supplies. Ukrainian forces attacked enemy locations near Nyzhna Krynka and Velyka Novosilka, the General Staff reported.

In the Pokrovsk area, Russian troops are attempting to disrupt the logistics of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in order to complicate the evacuation of the wounded and the delivery of supplies to troops. At the same time, the occupiers are pressing on the flanks of the city’s defense near Rodynske and towards Hryshyne, said the battalion commander of the 25th Airborne Brigade, Serhii, call sign “Hera.”

At around 11:05, Russia struck Zolochiv with a Geran-type drone. The drone hit the premises of a former orphanage. As a result of the strike, the roof and window glazing were damaged, said community head Viktor Kovalenko.

At approximately 00:15, Russia struck the settlement of Bilenke with a drone, damaging a private house.

On February 22, police recorded 1,447 Russian strikes along the front line and on residential areas of the region.

Nine settlements were under fire: the cities of Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk, Mykolaivka, Sloviansk; the settlements of Malotaranivka and Raihorodok; and the villages of Dmytrivka, Zoloti Prudy, and Malynivka.

A total of 53 civilian objects were damaged, including 38 residential buildings.

In Druzhkivka, Russians dropped four guided aerial bombs, injuring four civilians and damaging 10 private houses, a boiler facility, a garage cooperative, and a garbage truck.

One person was injured in Kramatorsk as a result of an FPV drone strike.

In Sloviansk, the enemy struck with two Molniya-2 UAVs, damaging three private houses, as well as a shop and four market kiosks.

In Mykolaivka, drone attacks damaged one apartment building, two private houses, an infrastructure facility, and three vehicles.

Malotaranivka was hit with Tornado-S multiple launch rocket systems, damaging three private houses. In Malynivka, 16 private homes were damaged.

Drone strikes in Raihorodok damaged two private houses and an educational institution; in Zoloti Prudy, a private house and a grain harvester were damaged; and in Dmytrivka, an educational institution was damaged.

Luhansk oblast

The week of February 16–22 in temporarily occupied Luhansk region was marked by increased mobilization pressure, large-scale militarization of education, and further infrastructure failures. The occupation administration is increasingly openly preparing the region for a prolonged war, reallocating resources toward “security” while narrowing the space for civilian life.

In the Lyman and Sloviansk directions, Ukrainian defenders repelled 12 attempts by the enemy to advance (six in each direction). Combat operations took place in the areas of seven settlements. Within the area of responsibility, Russian forces carried out eight mortar attacks and used other types of weapons.

In temporarily occupied Luhansk region, the occupiers announced an “inventory” of housing. According to their statements, about 17,000 apartments and houses allegedly have outstanding utility debts. Property owners are being threatened with “nationalization,” with utility arrears used as a pretext for the seizure of real estate.

In Sievierodonetsk, food establishments have increased the cost of internet access by 50% — from 200 to 300 rubles per hour. Due to the lack of stable mobile and wired communications, residents are forced to use paid internet access in cafés.

Cafés in temporarily occupied Sievierodonetsk have raised prices for internet access for visitors. One hour of access now costs 300 rubles — approximately 168 hryvnias — reported the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Kharchenko.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

According to Mykola Kalashnyk, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, on the evening of 22 February, more than 100 homes were damaged in Kyiv oblast as a result of a russian night attack on 22 February, including private houses and flats in multi-storey buildings. Business facilities, warehouses, offices, garage cooperatives, and transport were also damaged. Destruction was recorded in six districts. The Boryspil, Bucha, and Fastiv districts suffered the most damage.

There are 17 confirmed casualties, including four children. Five people are in hospital – four adults and one child. Two adults are in serious condition, and two others are in moderate condition. The child is also in moderate condition and is receiving all necessary medical care.

In the Brovarsky district, garage boxes, administrative and warehouse buildings of enterprises, office premises, as well as cars and other equipment were damaged.

Three people, including a child, were injured in the Obukhiv district. Damage was reported to critical infrastructure, businesses, residential buildings (private and multi-storey), educational institutions, vehicles and railway infrastructure.

One person was injured in the Boryspil district. Private houses, a farm and cars were damaged. A church was also affected by the blast wave.

Six people, including three children, were injured in the Bucha district. Apartment buildings and private houses, cars, as well as office and commercial premises damaged.

The Fastiv district suffered the most tragic consequences of the attack. One person was killed and seven people, including one child, were injured as a result of the enemy strike. Private houses and cars were damaged.

According to Mykola Kalashnyk, assistance for the victims has been organised at the sites of the russian strikes. People are being provided with hot meals and everything they need. The Rokada and Red Cross charitable foundations have joined the effort. Hot meals are also being delivered by a kitchen train, a joint project of Ukrzaliznytsia and the Howard G. Buffett Foundation.

In Sofiivska Borshchahivka, emergency response operations continue following the enemy strike that occurred during the night of February 22. Rescue workers are operating at the site of destruction and providing assistance to affected residents. A heating tent has been set up where people can warm up, rest, receive hot drinks, and speak with a psychologist, the State Emergency Service reported.

In Kyiv, after a recent Russian shelling, a fragment of an Iskander ballistic missile was found on the roof of a McDonald’s restaurant. This was reported by the fundraising platform United24. It is noted that Russia frequently uses such missiles to attack Ukraine, including civilian targets. The missile has a range of 500 km and a speed exceeding 8,000 km/h.

The timeframe for restoring full electricity generation and returning to stabilization schedules in Kyiv cannot yet be determined, the Kyiv City Military Administration reported. The individual power-on schedule is a temporary measure used instead of the standard stabilization blackout schedule. The capital and region continue to experience massive Russian attacks on critical infrastructure, making it impossible to forecast a return to normal schedules.

First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska took part in the Justice Conference held in Kyiv. She spoke at the opening of a panel dedicated to the return home of children abducted by Russia and the mechanisms of the President of Ukraine’s Bring Kids Back UA initiative. According to her, a comprehensive reintegration program for returned children is gradually being developed within the initiative.

Since the beginning of 2026, during the energy crisis, Kyiv has received more than 840 generators of various capacities — from 5 kW to 900 kW — from partners and donors from different countries, Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko reported.

Zhytomyr oblast

Since the beginning of February, the rehabilitation department at Berdychiv City Hospital has been undergoing reconstruction. The work is being carried out as part of a collaboration between the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS). According to the Berdychiv City Council, over UAH 14 million were allocated for this purpose. The funding is provided within the framework of the “HEAL Ukraine” project.

On February 22, more than 100 residents of Malyn gathered in the city center, at Soborna Square, for a peaceful rally in support of prisoners of war and those missing in action. Relatives and friends held flags, photographs, and posters, and took part in a symbolic performance. The event concluded with a motorcade through the central streets of the city. The organizers were the local public organization “Svichado” and its subdivision, the union “Virni.”

Sumy oblast

The General Staff reported in its morning update that towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk, Ukraine’s Defence Forces repelled one attack. Over the past day, russian forces carried out five air strikes, dropping 12 guided aerial bombs, and shelled the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas 83 times, nine of which involved multiple launch rocket systems.

The State Emergency Service informed that on 23 February, russian troops attacked Nedryhailivka community. As a result of the shelling, a fire broke out in a facility where grain was stored.

During the day on 22 February, russian forces struck a residential area in Velyka Chernechchyna village, Sumy community, by two guided aerial bombs. Around 20 houses were damaged.

According to the Regional Military Administration, a 36-year-old civilian man who was near the impact site sustained injuries and was hospitalised.

Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that a nine-year-old girl who was injured on 21 February in Sumy community as a result of an enemy UAV strike sought medical assistance.

Over the course of 22–23 February, russian forces carried out more than 70 attacks on 21 settlements across 12 territorial communities of the oblast. The highest number of strikes was recorded in Sumy and Shostka regions. The enemy used artillery, FPV drones, UAVs and guided aerial bombs. Air raid alerts in the oblast lasted for 21 hours and 23 minutes during the reporting period.

Civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged or destroyed:

  • In Shostka community, an administrative building, an apartment block and private residential houses were damaged;
  • In Znob-Novhorodske community, premises of an educational institution, a cultural centre, a private residential house and a civilian infrastructure facility were damaged;
  • In Sumy community, a civilian infrastructure facility, private residential houses, outbuildings and a passenger vehicle were damaged.

Lyceum No. 2 informed that on 21 February, in Znob-Novhorodske community, an 11th-grade student of Lyceum No. 2, Oleksandr Shchepetkov, was killed together with his brother Ivan Shchepetkov as a result of a russian attack. Oleksandr died in an ambulance that was transporting him after he had stepped on a mine. The ambulance was struck by a russian “Lancet” drone.

Also killed were paramedic Khrystyna Slavska, a former graduate of the lyceum, and her husband, Police Captain Serhii Slavskyi.

According to Sumy oblast National Police, an operation to evacuate the bodies from the site of the ambulance strike in Shostka region lasted six hours. On the evening of 21 February, russian forces shelled the vehicle carrying medics and the injured near Uralove village. The evacuation was complicated by russian drones hovering over the site from the morning of 22 February. According to police, the evacuation of one of the victims was particularly difficult as the body was pinned beneath the burned-out vehicle. A tractor provided by local residents was used to assist in the operation.

Znob-Novhorodske Settlement Council reported that in Znob-Novhorodske community, the operation of social buses has been suspended for one week due to the security situation. Information on the resumption of services will be announced separately.

Sumy City Military Administration announced that in Sumy, UAH 2.2m. have been allocated to equip warming centres. A list of facilities that may be used to accommodate residents has already been determined. The procurement of equipment is currently underway.

According to the Regional Military Administration, Sumy oblast has received 8,000 aid packages, which have been distributed to communities to support vulnerable groups during the cold period. The “warm package” includes a blanket or sleeping bag, a thermos flask, a power bank, a torch, warm socks, a reflector and a shopping bag. Assistance is being provided to people receiving services at territorial centres and social service centres, as well as to families in difficult life circumstances and families with children in need of social support.

 

Chernihiv oblast

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the Regional Military Administration, reported that over the past week, from 16 to 22 February, air defence units shot down 144 enemy targets in the skies over Chernihiv oblast.

During this period, the enemy carried out 245 strikes on Chernihiv oblast, using artillery, mortars, ballistic weapons, FPV drones and strike UAVs. As a result of russian attacks, residential buildings and civilian and transport infrastructure were destroyed and damaged. Two people were injured in shelling, in Snovsk community and in Nizhyn.

Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment informed that over the course of 22 February, russian troops attacked seven settlements in Semenivka community and two in Snovsk community. The enemy carried out mortar shelling (seven explosions), tube artillery strikes (five explosions) and FPV drone attacks (14 explosions).

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, more than 350,000 hectares in Chernihiv oblast have been contaminated with explosive ordnance. This area is equivalent to nearly 490,000 football pitches. According to the Emergency Response and Humanitarian Demining Department of the State Emergency Service in the oblast, more than 5,000 explosive devices have been detected and neutralised in Shestovytsia and Yahidne alone, which were temporarily occupied by russian forces in 2022. Demining operations in these villages are still ongoing.

According to Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, as of February 2026, 46,000 hectares of territory in the oblast have been cleared of mines.

A project to construct a surgical building has commenced at Mykola Halytskyi Nizhyn City Hospital. Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, said that the works in Nizhyn will be financed through a concessional loan from the French Treasury amounting to EUR 35m. The project will be implemented by Ellipse Projects, appointed by the French side. The official launch of the project took place on 23 February. France’s Special Envoy for Assistance and Reconstruction of Ukraine, Muriel Lacoue-Labarthe, arrived in Nizhyn for the occasion.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Pavlohrad region. In the evening, russian forces carried out a strike that damaged a healthcare facility. A man was injured.

Nikopol region. The russian troops attacked the region by drones, MLRS and artillery. Strikes targeted the regional centre, Marhanets and Pokrovske rural communities. A residential house and a gas pipeline were damaged. According to updated information, three additional private houses, an outbuilding, and a power line in Nikopol were damaged as a result of previous strikes.

Synelnykove region. The russian forces attacked Pokrovske community by a KAB and an FPV drone. A fire station depot was damaged. An outbuilding and an apartment in a high-rise building caught fire.

Synelnykove region. The russian forces again attacked Pokrovske and Mezhova communities by guided aerial bombs and a drone. A woman was killed in Pokrovske community and another woman was injured. 6 private houses, a gymnasium, a cultural center and a vehicle were damaged.

Nikopol region. The russian forces continued shelling the area by drones and artillery, targeting the regional centre, Marhanets, Pokrovske, Myrove and Chervonohryhorivka communities. A residential house caught fire. A garage was destroyed, while 11 private houses, a multi-storey building, an administrative building, an enterprise, a bus, a car and 2 outbuildings were damaged. Updated information indicates that 2 additional houses, a garage and a vehicle were damaged in Pokrovske community due to overnight attacks.

Vinnytsia oblast 

A memorial event marking the fourth anniversary of the full-scale invasion will take place in Vinnytsia tomorrow. Residents will gather on one of the city’s central streets carrying portraits of fallen defenders to join the nationwide minute of silence and honor every life lost for Ukraine’s freedom.

Kirovohrad oblast

In Kropyvnytskyi, residents paid tribute to servicemen Serhii Makhno, Pavlo Pysmennyi, Vitalii Morozovskyi and Vadym Zakharenko.

Pavlo Pysmennyi was killed on 26 June 2024, near Nevelske settlement in Pokrovsk region, Donetsk oblast. He had been considered missing in action since then; his death was confirmed through DNA identification. He was 58 years old.

Vitalii Morozovskyi was killed on 15 February 2026, near Danylivka village in Synelnykove region, Dnipropetrovsk oblast.

Serhii Makhno was killed on 12 February 2026, while carrying out a combat mission near Kukharka village in Pryluky region, Chernihiv oblast. He was 53 years old.

Vadym Zakharenko was killed on 1 April 2025, near Toretsk city in Bakhmut region, Donetsk oblast, while performing a combat mission. He was 43 years old.

Poltava oblast

Poltava continues implementing projects dedicated to commemorating fallen defenders. This year, the community plans to install 60 memorial plaques on park benches as part of the Among Us project. Street QR codes dedicated to fallen soldiers are being created, video tributes are being produced, and personalised minutes of silence are being held. Also, memorial signs honoring military units of Poltava garrison are being installed in the Heroes of Ukraine Memorial Square. Memorialisation efforts are expected to continue in the future.

Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel are training by multimedia simulators developed by specialists from Poltava. This year, more than 40 military units and 50 schools received simulators for virtual training. The systems were developed within Poltava-based Curator project, have received a NATO code and have been approved by the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.

Cherkasy oblast

In Cherkasy, volunteers are producing adaptive plates for servicemembers with limited arm mobility. The first batch is currently being completed, with glazing and firing underway. The plates are made from sculptural clay safe for food contact, known as Eshen-2 with a one-millimeter fraction. The adaptive tableware will be provided to military personnel free of charge.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

According to the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, yesterday, 22 February, the occupiers carried out 754 strikes on 44 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. Russian forces conducted 28 airstrikes on Komyshuvakha, Novomykolaivka, Veselianka, Tersianka, Zirnytsia, Rizdvianka, Tavriiske, Samiilivka, Liubytske, Lisne, Rozivka, Barvinivka, Novopavlivka, Novoukrainka, Kopani, Dolynka, Vozdvyzhivka, Huliaipilske, Charivne, Zelene, Rivne, and Novodanylivka.

487 UAVs of various types (mostly FPV drones) attacked Zaporizhzhia, Serhiivka, Komyshuvakha, Novomykolaivka, Helendzhyk, Novooleksandrivka, Kanivske, Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Stepove, Lukyankivske, Pavlivka, Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Zaliznychne, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, Bilohiria, Huliaipilske, Staroukrainka, Sviatopetrivka, Zelene, Olenokostiantynivka, Dobropillia, and Pryluky.

Four MLRS strikes targeted Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, and Charivne. 235 artillery strikes were carried out on Chervonodniprovka, Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Stepove, Lukyankivske, Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Zaliznychne, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, Bilohiria, Staroukrainka, Zelene, and Dobropillia. Authorities received 56 reports of damage to homes and infrastructure facilities. Two people were killed and four others injured as a result of enemy strikes on Zaporizhzhia city and Zaporizhzhia region.

The press service of the State Emergency Service in Zaporizhzhia oblast reported that over the past day, 22 February, two fires broke out in the region as a result of Russian attacks.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that as of 16:00 on 23 February, Ukrainian defenders repelled eight enemy attacks near Huliaipole and Zaliznychne towards Huliaipole. Over the past day, 22 February, the Defense Forces repelled 27 attacks towards Huliaipole and two more towards Orikhiv.

Mykolaiv oblast

Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration reported that yesterday, 23 February, the enemy attacked the region with Shahed 131/136-type UAVs. Energy and critical infrastructure facilities were targeted. In Mykolaiv, eight private houses, a warehouse, infrastructure on the territory of an industrial enterprise, and one passenger car were damaged. Energy infrastructure was also damaged; as of 20:08, power had been restored to all consumers. Two people were injured. In Bashanka region, transport and industrial infrastructure facilities were damaged. As a result of combat operations, eight Shahed 131/136 attack drones and various types of decoy drones were shot down or suppressed.

Yesterday, the enemy also carried out 11 FPV drone attacks on Ochakiv community. There were no casualties.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that near Pokrovka, which is temporarily under russian occupation, Ukrainian forces struck a UAV control point of a russian airborne assault regiment.

Odesa oblast

The Odessa Regional Military Administration reported that during the night, the enemy attacked Odessa region with strike drones. Industrial, energy, and civilian infrastructure facilities came under fire. The strike destroyed production and warehouse buildings, an auto parts store, and over 20 vehicles. Additionally, one of the drones hit an apartment in a high-rise building but did not explode. Two people were killed and three others injured.

According to Oleksii Kuleba, Vice Prime Minister for Ukraine’s Recovery and Minister for Communities and Territories Development, the attack damaged civilian logistics and the area of a freight transport hub that serves the region’s port infrastructure.

The press service of DTEK “Odesa Electric Networks” reported that on the night of 23 February, Russians attacked an energy facility of DTEK “Odesa Electric Networks.” The substation that was damaged came under fire for the fourth time.

Kherson oblast

The head of Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, reported that today, 23 February, one person was killed as a result of russian aggression. In the morning, a 47-year-old man sustained fatal injuries life due to russian shelling of Dniprovskyi district.

Kherson Regional Police reported that two police officers were injured in Kherson as a result of the armed aggression of russian forces. Today at around 17:00, russian troops attacked a police service vehicle in central Kherson. The officer sustained a blast injury, barotrauma, and a shrapnel wound to the forehead. In addition, at around 17:30, a 49-year-old senior inspector of the explosive service department was injured during demining operations in Korabelnyi district of Kherson due to the detonation of an explosive device. The officer, who suffered a hand injury and the amputation of several fingers, was taken to the hospital.

Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that at approximately 10:00, russian occupiers shelled the central part of Kherson. Two people sustained blast injuries and multiple shrapnel wounds to their limbs and torsos.

A woman who had been attacked by a russian drone the previous morning in central Kherson also sought medical assistance. The 40-year-old resident was diagnosed with a blast injury and concussion.

In the morning, russian forces shelled Korabelnyi district of Kherson. As a result of the strike, windows were shattered in a house, and the facade, rooms, and fence were damaged. A man who was outside at the time of the attack sustained a blast injury, concussion, and shrapnel wounds.

The Police of Kherson oblast reported that yesterday, 22 February, the russian forces attacked Kherson, Dniprovske, Bilozerka, Antonivka, Prydniprovske, Kizomys, Klapaia, Sadove, Molodizhne, Sofiivka, Komyshany, Chereshanky, Tomyna Balka, Blahovishchenske, Romashkove, Yantarne, Velytenske, Rozlyv, Stanislav, Shyroka Balka, Osokorivka, Petrivka, Zolota Balka, Novoraivsk, Tomaryne, Shevchenkivka, Kozatske, and Vesele. As a result of the shelling, 20 facilities were damaged: one apartment building and 15 private houses, a critical infrastructure facility, two outbuildings, and a vehicle. Five people were injured due to russian aggression.

Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of Kherson RMA, also reported that over the past week, russians used 2,622 drones to attack the right bank of the region, 1,231 of them within the Kherson community. Defense Forces units managed to destroy 95% of the UAVs.

Kherson Regional Military Administration also reported that over the past week, the Fortitude mobile clinic provided medical assistance to nearly 180 residents of the Velyka Oleksandrivka and Kalynivka communities. Doctors held consultations in Kalynivske, Bilousove, Davydiv Brid, and Bobrovyi Kut.

Rivne oblast

To ensure autonomous heat supply, heaters of various types, heating units, a generator and gas cylinders were transferred from the oblast to Kyiv. They were received thanks to the cooperation of the Zhytets Rivne CF and the German Flüchtlingsrat Ulm/Alb-Donau-Kreis e.V. Residents of the city of Ulm collected funds for the purchase of equipment through an advertisement in a local newspaper.

Ternopil oblast

The RMA held a meeting to discuss the formation of a clear and effective model for providing critical facilities with energy storage systems. Due to constant shelling and damage to energy infrastructure, the issue of electricity storage is currently №1 for the oblast.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Khmelnytskyi community sent 30 DJI MATRICE 4T quadcopters worth UAH 5.2m to the military.

Chernivtsi oblast

Chernivtsi community accompanied 7 Defenders of Ukraine to their final earthly journey. These are unknown soldiers.

The Council of the European Union has extended sanctions against russia for another year due to the illegal recognition, occupation or annexation by the russian federation of territories that are currently not under the control of the Ukrainian government – until 24 February 2027.
