On November 1, there were 95 combat engagements.
The enemy shelled the border settlements of Zarichchia and Halahanivka in the Chernihiv oblast, as well as Bila Bereza and Khliborob in the Sumy oblast with artillery.
Towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk, the Defence Forces repelled one enemy attack. In addition, the enemy launched five airstrikes, dropping 11 guided bombs, and carried out 87 shelling attacks, including two from multiple launch rocket systems.
Ukrainian units are conducting counter-sabotage operations; the enemy is sustaining losses.
Towards Southern Sloboda, the Defence Forces repelled nine enemy attacks near Vovchansk Odradne, Kamianka and Dvorichanske. Two battles are still ongoing.
Towards Kupiansk, the aggressor launched seven assaults near Stepova Novoselivka, Petropavlivka, Kurylivka and Pishchane.
Towards Lyman, the aggressor launched two assaults near Korovii Yar.
Towards Sloviansk, Ukrainian troops repelled seven enemy attacks near Serebrianka, Dronivka, Fedorivka and Siversk.
Towards Kramatorsk, the aggressor made one attempt to advance near Chasiv Yar.
Towards Kostiantynivka, Ukrainian troops repelled 10 enemy attacks near Oleksandro-Shultyne, Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, Rusyn Yar and Poltavka.
Towards Pokrovsk, the enemy made 38 attempts to dislodge Ukrainian defenders from their positions near Nykanorivka, Maiak, Myrnohrad, Chervonyi Lyman, Rodynske, Razine, Mykolaivka, Novoekonomichne, Pokrovsk, Lysivka, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Novomykolaivka, Horikhove, Dachne and Filiia. The Defence Forces are absorbing the enemy’s offensive and have already repelled 36 attacks. They are conducting active operations and achieving certain success – in some areas, Ukrainian units have advanced up to 0,4 kilometers.
Towards Oleksandrivka, the enemy launched 18 attacks near Zelenyi Hai, Sichneve, Novoselivka, Vorone, Sosnivka, Verbove, Oleksiivka, Rybne, Yehorivka and Krasnohirske. Three more battles are still ongoing.
Towards Huliaipole, one combat engagement was recorded near Okhotnyche.
No offensive actions by the enemy were recorded towards Orikhiv.
Towards Kherson, Ukrainian troops repelled one enemy attack near the Antonivka Road Bridge.
No significant changes have been reported in other directions at this time.
During the night of November 2, Russia launched a massive air attack against Ukrainian territory, employing 79 strike UAVs of various types and 2 Iskander-K cruise missiles. According to the Command of the Air Force, 67 of them were shot down.
As a result of russian shelling, the entire Donetsk oblast has been left without power. This was reported by the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin. Specialists are currently working to resolve the issue.

Towards Southern Sloboda, the enemy launched 9 attacks on Ukrainian positions near the settlements of Vovchansk, Kamianka, Kolodiazne and Dvorichanske.
Towards Kupiansk, there were three combat clashes yesterday. Ukrainian defenders repelled enemy assaults near Pishchane.
Shelling
At around 8 AM, a russian FPV drone hit a civilian car in Odnorobivka, Zolochiv community, according to the head of the Military Administration, Viktor Kovalenko. The vehicle was damaged, but no casualties were reported.
Following russia’s attack on critical infrastructure at dawn, the power situation in the Lozova community has deteriorated, according to Lozova Mayor Serhii Zelenskyi. He noted that energy workers are working to temporarily restore electricity supply by the evening.
Over the past day, 13 settlements in the Kharkiv oblast came under enemy fire.
As a result of the shelling in the village of Podoly, Kurylivka community, a 54-year-old man was killed.
A 39-year-old man was injured by the explosion of an unidentified object near the village of Kutuzivka, Vilkhivka community.
The enemy actively used various types of weapons:

Civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged and destroyed:
▪️In Bohodukhiv region, a private house, garage, car and 2 tractors (village Shuby), 2 private houses, power lines (village Ivashky), a private house and power lines ( village Klynova Novoselivka) were damaged;
▪️In Kupiansk region, a lorry (village Semenivka) and an apartment building (village Zelenyi Hai) were damaged;
▪️In Lozova region, power lines (rural settlement Blyzniuky, village Novovolodymyrske) were damaged.
Other
A total of 6,996 consumers in the Blyzniuky community remain temporarily without power.
The transit evacuation center in Lozova received 163 people over the past 24 hours, with 37 remaining. Since the beginning of its operation, a total of 10,364 people have been registered at the center.
Families with children and elderly residents have begun leaving the Kupiansk district more actively, according to Alla Sherstiuk, the coordinator for work with evacuated persons. She noted that over 250 people have been evacuated in less than a week.
Donetsk oblast
Frontline
Russian forces halved the number of attacks towards Lyman and Sloviansk over the past day.
Towards Kramatorsk, russian forces did not conduct offensive operations, while towards Pokrovsk, the Defence Forces repelled about fifty russian assaults, the General Staff reported.
Towards Lyman, the russian army launched five attacks near Korovii Yar, Zarichne, Stavky and toward Lyman.
Towards Sloviansk, the Defence Forces halted five advances in the areas of Yampil, Dronivka, Serebrianka, Pereizne, Fedorivka and Hryhorivka.
Enemy forces are attempting to advance from the southeastern part of the city and from the north — from Hrodivka and Rodynske. The Defence Forces are holding back the russian army; if russian troops manage to break through on the outskirts, the Defence Forces destroy them.
Heavy losses towards Pokrovsk forced russia to withdraw the 155th Naval Infantry Brigade, which had previously seen combat in Syria and in the Kyiv oblast. It is being replaced by less well-prepared units — the 102th Motorized Rifle Regiment and the 68th Tank Regiment of the 150th Division, Staff Sergeant Oleksandr Vovk reported.
Towards Pokrovsk, russian command ordered the execution of female servicemembers who refuse to go into combat. Also on this sector of the front, troops of the russian 74th Brigade are deserting, the Atesh movement reported.
Agents of “Atesh” within the 115th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the russian Armed Forces set a military truck on fire near Avdiivka to disrupt its deployment to the assault near Pokrovsk.
Shelling
As a result of russian shelling in the Donetsk oblast, five people were killed and two others injured.
On November 1, police recorded 1,808 strikes targeting both the frontline and residential areas.
Seven settlements came under fire: the cities of Kostiantynivka, Lyman, Mykolaivka, Myrnohrad, Rodynske, Siversk, and the village of Pryvillia.
Fifteen civilian objects were damaged, including 13 residential buildings.
A 50-year-old man was killed on November 1 near his home in a private sector area of Myrnohrad, according to the head of the Military Administration, Yurii Tretiak. Around 1,500 residents remain in the community.
At around 11 PM on November 1, russian forces attacked Sloviansk with three Geran-2 type UAVs, the head of the Military Administration, Vadym Liakh, reported. The strikes hit the outskirts of the city, damaging a ceramics workshop and warehouse facilities. No casualties were reported.
In Kostiantynivka, the russians struck with aerial bombs, artillery, and an FPV drone — killing two people and wounding another. Two apartment buildings and seven private houses were damaged.
In Rodynske, one civilian was killed and another injured during shelling; a private house was destroyed.
As a result of enemy strikes, one person was killed in Siversk.
In Lyman, an FPV drone strike damaged an apartment building.
Additionally, information has been confirmed regarding a civilian killed in the village of Novoselivka — the person was murdered by Russian forces on October 31.
The entire Donetsk region has been left without power, according to the head of the Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin.

“Due to enemy strikes on infrastructure, emergency shutdowns began in the national power grid. Specialists are already working to resolve the issue. Power supply in the region will be restored as soon as possible,” he said.
Over the past week, volunteers evacuated about 2,000 residents from the Donetsk region. Currently, the number of evacuation requests is not increasing, said Roman Buhaiev, an evacuation coordinator with the East SOS charity foundation. The greatest threat comes from FPV drones, which attack even civilian vehicles within a 15-kilometer zone from the frontline.
Luhansk oblast
As usual, over the past day, the occupiers actively employed UAVs and FPV drones, attempting to strike Ukrainian defensive positions within Ukrainian area of responsibility. They made ten attempts to disrupt defences in the Lyman and Sloviansk directions, attacking near ten settlements.
For the third time in the past month, a major accident occurred on the main water pipeline that supplies Alchevsk, Brianka, Kadiivka and several smaller towns and surrounding villages. Throughout October, local residents had access to drinking water only sporadically. The water pipelines are literally falling apart in multiple locations and require complete replacement rather than partial repairs.
Parents of children with disabilities in the so-called “luhansk people’s republic” are being forced to purchase medical devices, including rehabilitation equipment, largely at their own expense. The occupiers have failed to establish a dedicated program to provide such support to this category of citizens, instead advising families to use “maternity capital” funds received at the birth of a child.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
According to the Kyiv City State Administration, the restoration of Solomyanka after enemy strikes continues. Contractors are working on every damaged building. By 1 December, they plan to completely restore the roofs of all affected buildings. In buildings where the roof has already been restored, ventilation ducts have been inspected and gas supply begun.
The first 20 veterans in Kyiv are completing a free training course in humanitarian demining. Over the course of 10 weeks, former military personnel are being trained to detect mines and tripwires, survey the territory, and provide first aid and psychological assistance.
Relatives of Ukrainian soldiers who are missing or in russian captivity gathered near the Pochaina metro station in Kyiv. The participants demanded active measures from the ukrainian authorities to find and return their relatives. The mothers, wives, and sisters of soldiers from various locations on the front lines attended the event.
According to the RMA, recently, veterans from Kyiv oblast travelled to the Carpathian Mountains in Zakarpattia oblast. They were greeted with warm welcomes, incredible emotions and the conquest of Ukraine’s highest peak, Hoverla.
Zhytomyr oblast
This week, during a meeting with representatives of the UNDP and the European Investment Bank, the Zhytomyr Regional State Administration presented the Ukraine Recovery Programme in the region. Zhytomyr oblast is actively involved in the implementation of projects within the Ukraine Recovery Programme. To date, 15 projects have been approved for a total amount of over UAH 776 million.
Ukrainian schoolchildren won awards at the prestigious MOSTRATEC International Science and Technology Fair. Oleksandr Kalenyk from Zhytomyr oblast received a special award for developing a technology for creating antennas for drones using 3D printing and electroplating.
Sumy oblast
On 1 November, in Seredyna-Buda community, a 29-year-old man was injured after a russian drone struck a vehicle. Medical assistance is being provided.
In Mykolaivka rural community, a russian drone hit a minibus. The driver managed to exit the vehicle before impact. The vehicle caught fire following the strike.
The Regional Military Administration reported that following enemy attacks, parts of Sumy region and Sumy city were left without power. Energy workers are working to restore electricity supply. Hospitals and emergency services continue to operate, and critical infrastructure is being switched to backup power sources.
Between the morning of 1 November and the morning of 2 November, russian forces carried out 61 attacks on 26 settlements across 12 territorial communities in the oblast. The highest number of strikes was recorded in Sumy and Shostka regions. The enemy actively used guided aerial bombs (over 10 strikes), UAVs (up to 10 strikes), and dropped explosive devices from drones (up to 10 strikes), as well as conducted FPV drone attacks. The air raid alert in the oblast lasted 16 hours and 7 minutes during the day.
According to the Regional Military Administration, as a result of russian shelling over the past day, one person was killed and two were injured. In Myropillia community, a 57-year-old man was killed in a russian drone attack. In Seredyna-Buda community, a 29-year-old man was injured after a drone hit a vehicle. In Sumy community, a 33-year-old man was wounded in another attack.
Civil infrastructure facilities were damaged and destroyed:
- In Mykolaivka rural community, a minibus was damaged;
- In Sumy community, a civil infrastructure facility was damaged;
- In Myropillia community, a private vehicle was damaged;
- In Krasnopillia community, an administrative building and a civil infrastructure facility were damaged;
- In Seredyna-Buda community, a private vehicle was damaged.
Liudmyla Biriukova, Head of Velyka Pysarivka community, said that the community currently has 3,200 residents. Before the start of the full-scale invasion, it was home to about 10,000 people. The most active phase of evacuation occurred in March 2024. Now, only isolated cases remain — residents leave using private transport or seek assistance from “White Angel” police teams, local authorities, or donors.
The City Council informed that Sumy school student Kiril Illiashenko received the National Award “Treasure of the Nation – 2025” for bravery. He was recognised in the “Young Generation” category. In April, the boy helped rescue people from a damaged bus after a missile strike in central Sumy.
Chernihiv oblast
Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration, said that during the night of 2 November, russian forces attacked Novhorod-Siverskyi by two Heran-2 strike drones. The drones hit a residential area within the city. Operational Command “North” reported that four residential houses, several outbuildings, and two cars were damaged as a result of the russian attack.
At around 8pm on 1 November, during an air raid alert, the russian army launched a ballistic missile strike on Menska community. Pavlo Miroshnychenko, Head of the Koriukivka District Military Administration, informed that two explosions were recorded, said . A farming enterprise was damaged in one of the community’s villages, while private homes were damaged in another.
According to Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, in Koriukivka community, a drone strike caused a fire that destroyed a house and injured a 47-year-old man.
Chernihiv Border Detachment reported that throughout 1 November, russian troops attacked four border communities in Chernihiv oblast — Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, Horodnia, and Snovsk. The enemy conducted mortar shelling (13 explosions) and artillery fire (16 explosions), carried out attacks using Shahed-type UAVs (2 explosions) and FPV drones (3 explosions), and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (8 explosions).
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Nikopol region: From evening until morning, the enemy continued attacking the region by drones and artillery, targeting the regional centre, as well as Marhanets, Chervonohryhorivka, and Pokrovske communities. A private house, a shop, and a car were damaged. Updated reports indicate that another house in Nikopol was damaged by a drone strike the previous day.
Synelnykove region: The occupiers launched drone attacks on Vasylkivka and Dubovykivka communities, causing fires that destroyed a private house and an outbuilding. Five private homes, a summer kitchen, and another outbuilding were damaged, along with local infrastructure.
Pavlohrad region: A drone strike damaged a car and infrastructure. Updated information confirms that four people were killed in yesterday’s attack on Samar region, including two children — boys aged 11 and 14.
In Pavlohrad regional centre, a 55-year-old man was killed in a drone attack. Three others were injured, including an eight-year-old girl who was hospitalised, a 39-year-old woman, and a 71-year-old man. Fires broke out, damaging a multi-storey residential building, a business, and several vehicles.
Nikopol region: Around 40 attacks were recorded as the enemy continued to strike the region by drones and artillery, targeting the regional centre, as well as Marhanets, Myrove, and Pokrovske communities. In Nikopol, a 75-year-old man was injured and received medical assistance. Five private houses, an educational institution, garages, an outbuilding, a minibus, a car, and a power line were damaged.
Poltava oblast
In Khorol community, it was confirmed that Armed Forces soldier Valentyn Ponomarenko, who had been missing for over a year, was killed in action. DNA testing verified his death during a combat mission.
Cherkasy oblast
In Cherkasy, a rally titled “Do Not Be Silent — Captivity Kills” was held in support of prisoners of war and missing soldiers. More than a hundred people — relatives, friends, volunteers, servicemen, and concerned residents — gathered in the city square holding flags and banners.
Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine
Zaporizhzhia oblast
Yesterday, 1 November, the occupiers carried out 753 strikes on 18 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. russian forces conducted 8 airstrikes on Stepove, Huliaipole, Malynivka, and Nechaivka. 496 UAVs of various types (mostly FPV) attacked Barvinivka, Stepnohirsk, Plavni, Prymorske, Stepove, Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Novomykolaivka, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Bilohiria, and Nove. Seven MLRS attacks targeted Zaporizhzhia, Huliaipole, Novomykolaivka, and Novoandriivka. There were 242 artillery strikes on Stepnohirsk, Plavni, Prymorske, Stepove, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Novomykolaivka, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Bilohiria, and Nove. 37 reports were received regarding damage to housing, infrastructure facilities, and vehicles. One person was killed and three others were injured as a result of enemy attacks on Zaporizhzhia and the Polohy region.
Today, 2 November, the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled one russian assault towards Huliaipole. During the previous day,1 November, the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled two russian attacks towards Orikhiv and one more towards Huliaipole.
Mykolaiv oblast
Yesterday, 1 November, at approximately 07:20, the enemy struck the outskirts of Mykolaiv with a ballistic missile (preliminarily an Iskander-M with a cluster warhead). A 20-year-old man was killed. Nineteen people were injured, including two children. Three gas stations, fourteen vehicles, one private house, and a power transmission line were damaged.
Also yesterday, the enemy attacked Ochakiv and Kutsurub communities 12 times with FPV drones. As a result of one of the attacks a private house was damaged in the city of Ochakiv. There were no casualties.
Odesa oblast
At night, the russians launched another strike on Odesa oblast using attack drones. Two people were killed and three others were injured. Odesa Regional Military Administration reported that the russians targeted civilian facilities that have no military value. As a result of the attack, five trucks were damaged in an open parking area: four of them were empty, and the fifth was a grain truck carrying soybeans.

Kherson oblast
An elderly woman of was killed due to russian shelling of Mykilske. An 82-year-old resident came under enemy fire.
Around 5:30 am, russian forces shelled Dniprovskyi district of Kherson. Three people were injured in the attack.
Later in the day, russian occupation troops shelled Dniprovskyi district of Kherson again with artillery. Three apartment buildings were damaged. Walls were shattered, and doors and windows were blown out in residents’ homes.
Today, the russian army attacked a civilian car with a drone in Tsentralnyi district of Kherson. A 68-year-old man suffered blast and cranio-cerebral trauma, concussion, and a shrapnel wound to his lower leg.
It is reported that russian occupation forces attacked a man with a drone in Korabelnyi district of Kherson. The 48-year-old resident sustained blast and concussion injuries, as well as an acute stress reaction.
A Kherson resident sought medical help after coming under russian fire in Tsentralnyi district. The 53-year-old man was diagnosed with blast trauma and concussion.
A Kherson woman sought medical attention after being injured in russian shelling of Dniprovskyi district on 31 October. The 61-year-old woman suffered blast trauma and an eye injury.
Yesterday, 1 November, the russian forces attacked Antonivka, Inzhenerne, Prydniprovske, Sadove, Chornobaivka, Bilozerka, Dniprovske, Tomyna Balka, Kizomys, Yantarne, Stanislav, Oleksandrivka, Sofiivka, Shyroka Balka, Ivanivka, Poniativka, Mykilske, Novotiahynka, Beryslav, Novoberyslav, Tiahynka, Burhunka, Odradokamianka, Olhivka, Mylove, Dudchany, Zolota Balka, Monastyrske, Osokorivka, Khreshchenivka, Chervonyi Maiak, Vesele, Kozatske, and the city of Kherson. Four apartment buildings, 12 private homes, private garages and cars, and agricultural machinery were damaged. One person was killed and two others were injured due to russian aggression. Yesterday, six people were evacuated from liberated communities in the region.
As of 16:00 on 2 November, Ukrainian units repelled an enemy assault near the Antonivskyi Bridge towards Kherson.

Volyn oblast

Zakarpattia oblast
50 veterans from different parts of Ukraine climbed the highest peak of the Carpathians. Active recreation for Heroes was organized on the initiative and support of the Office of the President, the Ministry of Veterans Affairs, the Kyiv and Transcarpathian Veterans’ Offices, local authorities, and rescuers.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
Working groups continue to work in regions of Prykarpattia to provide assistance to war veterans, their family members, as well as the families of deceased and missing defenders. The next field meeting was held in Verkhovyna.
Lviv oblast
The 10th Convoy4Ukraine brought 22 vehicles with humanitarian aid: essential items, hygiene products, and pet food to help in the defense of Ukraine, 10 of which were transferred to Brody community. These are durable vehicles that have high cross-country ability, can transport cargo and will help our defenders carry out their tasks.
Another disguise from Pomeranian community was sent to soldiers in Kharkiv oblast.
Radekhiv community received a washing machine, a gas boiler, dressings for treating burns, and a tent complete with a stove to the military from partners in Panevezys district (Lithuania).
Rivne oblast
The President awarded soldier Serhii Osypchuk from the village of Zhobryn, Klevan community, the Hero of Ukraine with the Golden Star. During the fighting in Kursk region, Serhii destroyed over 15 occupiers, engaged in direct firefights and forced the enemy to retreat.
Ternopil oblast
The Day of the Unconquered was held in Ternopil. The event became an important venue that unites war veterans around sports, recovery and leadership, as well as a platform for presenting veteran initiatives.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
The RMA reported that Trudova Street has been renamed after Hero of Ukraine Dmytro Kramar.
Chernivtsi oblast
A soldier from Bukovina, Volodymyr Korinetskyi, was killed in the war on 28 October 2025 in the Dnipropetrovsk oblast.
