russian invaders continue to storm the positions of Ukrainian defenders. Instead, the Defense Forces of Ukraine foiled the enemy’s insidious plans, causing him significant losses in manpower and equipment.
It is worth noting that today soldiers of the 110th separate mechanized brigade named after Colonel-General Mark Bezruchka shot down an enemy Su-25 attack aircraft.
A total of 76 combat engagements have taken place since the beginning of the day. The enemy is more active in Pokrovsk and Lyman towards.
Towards Kharkiv is under aerial bombardment. Today, the russians shot down 26 anti-aircraft missiles. They aimed at the areas of Lyptsi, Hlyboke and Mali Prohody settlements. The enemy also attacked the city of Chuhuiv with 2 Iskander-M ballistic missiles.
Towards Kharkiv, the russians carried out four assault operations near Hlyboke and Vovchansk. During three engagements, the enemy failed and one more battle continued.
Towards Kupiansk, russian troops attacked positions of Ukrainian units near Novoosynove, Petropavlivka, Synkivka and Stelmakhivka. Four attacks have been repelled, one more is still ongoing.
Towards Lyman, during the day, the invading army attacked 11 times near Serebriansk Forestry, Nevskyi, Hrekivka and Novosadovo. The Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled nine attacks and two more clashes continued in Nevske region.
Towards Siversk, the enemy launched six unsuccessful attacks in Bilohorivka, Verkhnyokamiansk, Vyimka and Pereizne regions.
Towards Kramatorsk, invaders stormed defense lines of the Ukrainians near Chasiv Yar and Bila Hora three times. One battle is still going on.
Towards Toretsk, the enemy attacked Ukrainian troops nine times near Pivnichne, Toretsk, Zalizne and Niu-York. Ukrainian defenders repelled seven assaults, two more clashes are ongoing in two locations.
Towards Pokrovsk, since the beginning of the day, occupiers have carried out assaults in areas of settlements of Vozdvyzhenka, Novooleksandrivka, Prohres, Novoselivka Persha, Yasnobrodivka, Yevgenivka and Kalinove. The defense forces are restraining the onslaught of the enemy and have already repelled 18 attacks, three battles are ongoing near Novoselivka Persha and Yasnobrodivka. Enemy losses are being refined.
Towards Kurakhovo, the enemy attacked six times near Krasnohorivka, Kostiantynivka, Karlivka and Paraskoviivka. Ukrainian soldiers stopped four enemy attacks, two more are in progress.
Towards Orihiv, the enemy tried to break through the Ukrainian defenses near Mala Tokmachka, Shcherbakiv and Novoandriivka. During six battles, the russians were defeated.
Towards Kherson, the invaders will continue to try to knock out units of the Defense Forces from their positions on the left bank of the Dnipro. As a result, two enemy attacks were unsuccessful.
In other areas of the front, the situation has not undergone significant changes.
Dmytro Lubinets, Ombudsman, reported that it was possible to return 12 more children from the temporarily occupied territories. Currently, the children are in the territory controlled by Ukraine.
The Operational and Strategic Grouping of Troops of Khortytsia reported that the Ukrainian military shot down a russian Su-25 fighter jet.
Recent war events in the east of Ukraine
Kharkiv oblast
The General Staff reported that the russians dropped 26 anti-aircraft missiles in Kharkiv toward the 1st half of 19 July. Liptsi, Hlyboke, and Mali Prokhody were under attack.
In Kharkiv toward, the russians carried out four assaults near Hlyboky and Vovchansk. They have failed in three engagements, one more engagement at 4:00 pm continues.
In Kupiansk toward, russian troops attacked the positions of Ukrainian units near Novoosynovo, Petropavlivka, Synkivka, and Stelmakhivka. Four attacks have been repelled, one more is in progress.
Yevgenii Vasylenko, Spokesman of the Regional State Emergency Management Department reported that a 47-year-old resident of the front-line village of Staritsa together with three dogs managed to get out of the shelling to the village of Shestakovo, Chuhuyiv region. In the morning, volunteers took her and her pets to the evacuation point in Kharkiv.

On 19 July, at 4:16am, Chuhuiv was hit. Nine cars were set on fire as a result of enemy rocket fire. The glazing of windows of a 9-storey and 5-storey building, the roof and window glazing of a 2-storey residential building, two shops, an administrative building, the glazing of an unfinished 5-storey building and a private house were damaged. 9 people were injured, including a 14-year-old child.

Yesterday at 10:06pm, Kupiansk was shelled. A private house and a two-storey building of an enterprise were damaged as a result of aerial shelling by FAB-1500.
At 2pm, Kozacha Lopan village of Derhachi community, Kharkiv region, was under attack. As a result of the shelling with a RSVF, 5 private houses and a car were damaged.
At 10:15am, Ivashky village of Zolochiv community, Bohodukhiv region, suffered and as a result of an attack by a UAV drone, a private house was destroyed.
Towards Kharkiv, the enemy continued offensive and assault actions. There were 12 combat engagements in the area. All of them took place near Hlyboke and Vovchansk. The invaders actively used bomber aircraft for attacks.
Towards Kupiansk, the number of attacks yesterday totalled 11. Ukrainian defense forces repelled all enemy assaults near Synkivka, Stelmakhivka and Berestove.
Donetsk oblast
Roman Padun, Head of the CMA, reported that in the morning, russian troops shelled Kurakhivka village. The russians hit a private house and damaged the power grid.
The General Staff informed that the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled 87 russian attacks on the eastern front yesterday. Also russian troops remain the most active towards Pokrovsk defense line. Massive attacks are also taking place towards Toretsk and Lyman. Ukrainian troops stopped 15 russian assaults towards Kurakhove, where the russian army was pressing in Krasnohorivka and Paraskoviivka.
Yesterday Donetsk police recorded 2,708 attacks on the frontline and residential areas. The enemy shelled 17 settlements: Zalizne, Kostiantynivka, Lyman, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Toretsk, Velyka Novosilka, Hrodivka, Kurakhivka, Berestok, Vysokoivanivka, Kostiantynopil, Marynivka, Mykolaivka, Pleshchyivka, Rai-Oleksandrivka and Shevchenko.
57 civilian objects were damaged, including 31 residential buildings, administrative buildings, enterprises, a social infrastructure facility, a grain elevator, critical infrastructure and cars.
In Hrodivka, three women aged 26, 32 and 77 were killed as a result of artillery shelling and three private houses damaged.
The invaders killed two civilians and damaged 6 private houses in Pleshchiivka.
Also russian troops dropped two UMPB D-30 SN guided bombs on Myrnohrad, injuring three residents, damaging 7 private houses, 4 administrative buildings and a business.
Velyka Novosilka withstood a double airstrike by KAB-250 bombs. Two people, a husband and wife, were injured and a house destroyed.
One person was injured in Zalizne and Mykolaivka.
The enemy struck Lyman by three KAB-250 bombs with an UMPK module, causing no casualties and damaging social and critical infrastructure.
The russians launched two KAB-250 bombs to Shevchenko, damaging 6 private houses.

Ombudsman Lubinets confirmed that 12 children were returned from russian occupation, including those who lived in Donetsk oblast. These children and their families lived in the temporarily occupied territories in Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson oblasts.
Olena Rybakova, Deputy Director of the Department of Agricultural Complex, said that the average grain harvest in Donetsk oblast per hectare of land this year is 1,300kg lower than in previous years. This is due to difficult weather conditions, frosts in May and dry weather in summer.
Luhansk oblast
Artem Lysohor, Head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration, reported that there were about ten explosions in the temporarily occupied Luhansk in the morning. The city’s top aviation school, which is used by the russians as a base, is on fire. In this industrial area, along the railway tracks, there are dozens of hangars and warehouses that are not used for their intended purpose, but are very convenient for repairing military equipment and storing weapons. Property belonging to local collaborators, such as Tetiana Molchanova’s meat processing plant, was also damaged. There were no sirens, and the LPR Ministry of Emergency Situations did not respond to the fire. So people were trying to fight the fire on their own, taking food and pulling cars away.
Representatives of Krasnorichensk military administration delivered and distributed a weekly worth of bread to the residents of Nevske and Novoliubovka. They were informed about the evacuation and the assistance that would be provided.
Nevske was shelled by russians 20 times a day with cannon artillery and drones were repeatedly spotted flying over the settlement. The same is true in the sky over Makiivka. The enemy fired twice from rocket artillery and 17 times from cannon artillery at the area around the town. The invaders attacked near Nevske, Makiivka and Stelmakhivka.
Compensation for the purchase of preferential coal in the so-called “lpr” can only be obtained with a russian passport. Last year, the russians reported that they had almost completed the forced passportisation of Luhansk residents, but then allowed them to vote in the elections even with Ukrainian documents. In addition to their own russian documents, in order to receive compensation, they must have copies of the russian passports of all those registered in the apartment and certificates from their place of work or study that none of them received coal or compensation.
From 1 January 2025, residents of the occupied territories will be required to have a car insurance policy with a russian company. However, this also requires a russian passport. Without insurance, the enemy threatens to confiscate vehicles.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
Vladimir Zhovnir, General Director of the Okhmatdyt National Children’s Hospital counted that Okhmatdyt lost medical equipment worth UAH 400m as a result of the russian missile attack on the medical institution. The expert assessment of the damage to the buildings is ongoing.
Martin Jaeger, German Ambassador to Ukraine, announced that diplomats from Germany inspected the destruction on the territory of the Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital. Germany is providing €4m in emergency aid to Okhmatdyt to purchase medicines and medical supplies for patients, as well as €10m to rebuild the hospital.
Germany has accepted eight heavily ill patients from the damaged Okhmatdyt hospital for treatment.
Kyiv RMA made the decision that ‘resilience centres’ will operate in all settlements of Kyiv oblast where the power outage lasts over 8 hours in a row.
If there are no stationary Invincibility Centers the State Emergency Service will set up tents in the settlements, which should have a supply of water, a generator, electricity, and Internet access.
Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of the RMA, informed that a well-known Turkish manufacturer of power equipment has opened a new office and production facilities in Kyiv oblast. Thanks to international partners, the construction of the Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine plant was completed in Bucha district. Dalgakiran has invested almost UAH 400m in new facilities in oblast.
Two adaptive sports clubs for people with disabilities, including those caused by the war, will be opened in Kyiv oblast according to RMA. Grants for their opening were awarded to the Myronivka Health Space and the Nestrymnyi Lev Sports Club (Klavdievo-Tarasove).
In Irpin, a charity project to build a new home for the family of a fallen soldier was completed. Mayor Oleksandr Markushyn stated that the house was built using a 3D printer and fully equipped with furniture as well as appliances provided by patrons. The house of the Berezov family was destroyed by shelling by the russian military during the offensive on Kyiv in 2022. After the liberation of Irpin, the head of the family went to the east and was killed defending Ukraine.
The National Museum of History of Ukraine opened an exhibition From Sea to Sea. The exhibition features archaeological finds that were attempted for smuggling abroad. The relics were returned to Ukraine by Estonia. The exhibition also demonstrates aspects of cooperation between the two countries in the field of culture and the fight against russian aggression.
Zhytomyr oblast
Halyna Biletska, Head of Andrushivska community, announced plans to build 20 individual one-storey houses for IDP families within 8 months at the expense of benefactors. According to her, 597 internally displaced persons, including 98 children, are currently living in the community. The houses will be built by the Norwegian company UKR-AGRO RT LLC, which has been working in the community for many years, at its own expense.
Sumy oblast
Irina Yukhta, Acting Head of the community, reported that at 6:30 am, the russian army struck Krasnopillia. The russian military hit a grocery store located in the town center. A bakery in Osoyivka village was damaged.
At the end of June, a kindergarten and a mobile telecommunications tower were damaged by russian shelling in Krasnopillia.
At night and in the morning of 19 July, russians fired seven times at the border areas and settlements of Sumy oblast. A total of 16 attacks were recorded using various types of weapons. Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Nova Sloboda, Shalyhyne, Esman, Druzhbivka communities were shelled. According to the RMA report, the enemy attacked Krasnopillia community with two unguided aircraft missiles from a helicopter. In Nova Sloboda community, a woman was wounded as a result of an explosive device dropped from a UAV.
The RMA also informed that over the past day, on 18 July, the enemy fired 10 times in Sumy oblast. A total of 50 explosions were registered. Five border communities came under fire.
The russian military attacked Bilopillia community with mortars (5 explosions), an FPV drone strike (1 explosion) and the dropping of two explosive devices from a UAV (2 explosions).
Khotyn community was hit by the launch of unguided aerial missiles from a helicopter (6 explosions), mortar fire (1 explosion), and the dropping of one explosive device from a UAV (1 explosion).
One explosive device was dropped from a UAV on Seredyna-Buda community (1 explosion).
The russian army struck Shalyhyne community with MLRS (15 explosions).
Velyka Pysarivka community was attacked with artillery (8 explosions) and grenade launchers (10 explosions). According to the North Military Group, the shelling damaged a private house in the community.
On 17 July, 95 prisoners of war were returned to Ukraine, including a 21-year-old Ukrainian Armed Forces soldier from Trostyanets, Bohdan Kulyk. He is currently undergoing rehabilitation. Soldiers from the 5th Border Guard Detachment of Sumy were also returned.
The development of a high-quality rehabilitation system continues in Sumy oblast. According to the RMA, rehabilitation assistance is provided in 15 healthcare facilities in oblast. In most institutions, the rehabilitation departments meet the requirements: repairs have been made, equipment has been set up, and generators are working. In others, work is underway to create the necessary conditions.
Chernihiv oblast
Over the past 24 hours, russian troops attacked three communities in Chernihiv oblast.
The SBGS reported about a total of 32 explosions recorded. The enemy fired on the Novhorod-Siverskyi community (21 explosions) and Semenivka community (3 explosions) with cannon artillery, and attacked Snovsk community with AGS (8 explosions).
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk RMA, reported that at night, the enemy continued to strike at Nikopol region. The occupiers targeted the populated areas of Pokrovsk and Marhanets communities. They launched about fifteen artillery shells and a kamikaze drone.
During the day, the occupiers attacked Nikopol region again. They launched over twenty artillery shells and kamikaze drones. They targeted the district center and Marhanets community. In Nikopol, a house, a canopy, and a greenhouse were damaged.
Vinnytsia oblast
In Vinnytsia, a Council of Families of Fallen Defenders of Ukraine has been established. It is headed by Viktoriia Kolmykova, mother of 20-year-old Roman Vakhru Kolmykov, who was killed during the defense of Mariupol.
Fighters of the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Yakiv Handziuk were awarded with the Cross of the Brave and Golden Cross military decorations. Ukrainian defenders were honored for their loyalty to the Ukrainian people and their merits in combat conditions.
Poltava oblast
In Myrhorod community, a farewell was arranged for a defender of Ukraine. 48-year-old Vitalii Shyshkin, rank of soldier, fell in battle in Donetsk oblast on 15 July while performing service-combat tasks.
Cherkasy oblast
Junior Sergeant Kostiantyn Miroshnychenko from Cherkasy was posthumously awarded with the III degree For Courage Order . The corresponding decree was signed by Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine.

Zaporizhzhia oblast
Yesterday, the occupiers carried out 447 strikes on 13 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. russian forces launched 4 airstrikes on Piatykhatkyi, Kamianske, and Lobkove. 176 UAVs of various modifications attacked Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Levadne, Malynivka, and Novodanylivka. 20 MLRS attacks targeted Robotyne, Levadne, and Huliaipole. There were 247 artillery strikes on the territories of Huliaipole, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, Robotyne, Novodanylivka, Malynivka, Levadne, Uspenivka, Stepnohirsk and Prymorske. Nine reports of the destruction of residential buildings and infrastructure have been received.
There were six combat clashes in the areas of Mala Tokmachka and Novoandriivka towards Orikhiv. The enemy was unsuccessful.
Mykolaiv oblast
Today, around 17:12 pm, the russians launched a missile strike on Mykolaiv. The missile hit a playground near a residential building. As of 18:30 pm, it is known that five people were injured. Three people were killed.
Twelve-year-old Kyrylo Diadiushka, who practiced folk dancing, became a victim of today’s missile attack. Ihor Klymenko, Minister of Internal Affairs, said that the boy’s mother is currently in a state of shock.
18 July, at 12:53 pm, the enemy launched a ballistic missile attack on Mykolaiv oblast. As a result of the missile explosion, a fire broke out in dry grass and bushes in an open area outside of settlements. The fire was extinguished.
In the afternoon on 18 July, the enemy twice attacked Kutsurub community with FPV kamikaze drones. Two fires broke out in dry grass, bushes, and four outbuildings. The fires were promptly extinguished by firefighters.
Odesa oblast
As of 6 am on 19 July, there are no enemy ships in the Black Sea. There are 4 enemy ships in the Sea of Azov, and there is 1 enemy ship in the Mediterranean Sea, which is a carrier of Kalibr cruise missiles with a total salvo of up to 8 missiles. During the past day, 3 ships passed through the Kerch Strait to the Black Sea and 7 ships to the Sea of Azov in the interests of the russian federation.
Yesterday in the evening, russian occupying forces attacked Odesa oblast with a ballistic missile. According to the South Operational Command, it was likely an Iskander-M missile launched from the territory of temporarily occupied Crimea.
Kherson oblast
This morning, russian troops massively shelled Bilozerka. According to Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson Regional Military Administration, it is already known that two people were killed and five were injured. A 43-year-old man was taken to the hospital with explosive injuries, concussion, shrapnel wounds to the back of the head, and thigh. A 69-year-old healthcare worker was injured in her own apartment due to the shockwave. She suffered a concussion, brain contusion, and explosive injuries. Residents, aged 52 and 39, sustained concussions and explosive injuries. Additionally, a paramedic who was helping the victims was hit by a russian drone. The 26-year-old woman was hospitalized with explosive injuries and concussion. A 72-year-old resident suffered fatal injuries in her own home. The occupiers also attacked Antonivka. A 59-year-old man was injured by the russian strike, sustaining explosive injuries and shrapnel wounds to the forearm and chest.

It is reported that the russian army attacked an ambulance crew with a drone in Kherson. Two healthcare workers were injured. The 32-year-old paramedic and 63-year-old driver sustained concussions, explosive, and cranial injuries. Their condition is assessed as moderate.
Two people were killed and six were injured in Kherson oblast, including a police officer and a teenage girl, as a result of russian attacks. The affected areas included Kherson, Antonivka, Bilozerka, Oleksandrivka, Komyshany, Stanislav, Veletenske, Sadove, Mykilske, Kizomys, Beryslav, Shevchenkivka, Shliakhove, Mykhailivka, and Chervonyi Maiak. Eleven private houses and three multi-story buildings, a local authority office, a mobile clinic, four cars, a gas pipeline, a telecommunications facility, and a warehouse were damaged.
Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that last evening, the russian army attacked Antonivka. An 83-year-old local resident received fatal injuries.
Over the past day, 32 fires broke out in Kherson oblast due to кussian shelling. Eighteen fires occurred in the residential sector, where houses, outbuildings, and a car were burning. In Bilozerka, rescuers recovered the body of a deceased woman from the rubble of a house. Firefighters also extinguished 14 fires in open areas, covering a total area of 23.1 hectares.
During the past day, Ukrainian defenders eliminated 111 occupiers and destroyed 60 units of weapons and military equipment. Additionally, six ammunition storage sites, four observation posts, two logistics warehouses, two bunkers, two firing positions, one command-observation post, and two UAV control points were destroyed.
Novovorontsovka community received building materials for repairing damaged buildings. These include more than 200 sheets of slate and over 900 OSB boards. The materials will be used for repairing utility institutions, enterprises, and for restoring buildings in case of shelling.

Uzhhorod City Council reported that the community allocated over UAH 49m in the 1st 3 months of 2024.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
Ivano-Frankivsk City Council reported that the community sent 50 combat drones to the 80th Airborne Assault Brigade.
Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Center for Procurement and Social Support received computer equipment worth UAH 36,000 thanks to the regional budget as part of the mobilization training program.

Lviv oblast
The French government will allocate €5m for the 1st stage of the construction of a new tram route from the center of Lviv to the Unbroken rehabilitation center. This is the result of the 3-day work of the French development agency AFD in Lviv oblast.
7 child patients of Kyiv Okhmatdyt Hospital, who were in the medical facility during the 8 July rocket attack, were evacuated through Lviv oblast for treatment abroad. These are children with oncological diseases and birth defects who needed immediate medical evacuation, because the facilities for their treatment in Ukraine were only in Okhmatdyt.
Lviv Film Center and the 1st Medical Association hold film screenings for defenders who are being treated and recovering from injuries at the Unbroken center. The 2nd film screening on the open-air summer terrace gathered 30 spectators.
Vasyl Leliv, soldier of the 125th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade ,from Strii region received the III degree For Courage state award (posthumously). He was killed on 17 January 2023, near the village of Zarichne, Donetsk oblast.
Rivne oblast
Another anonymous report was received about the mining of the building of Rivne RMA and the Regional Council. Employees were evacuated according to the protocol. Special services conducted an inspection of the premises. No explosive objects were found.
Veteran martial arts competitions will be held in Rivne oblast as part of the Sarna Victory adaptation event for veterans and their family members. This is the 2nd of four such planned events. The 1st was Dubenska Sila.
The RMA reported that the Coordination Headquarters for the Implementation of Veterans Policy will be operational in Rivne oblast.
Computed tomography and angiography will be delivered to Rivne oblast by the end of the year. The purchase took place within the framework of the Emergency Response to COVID-19 and Vaccination in Ukraine joint project of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the World Bank.
Ternopil oblast
Dmytro Lubinets, Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, came to Ternopil on a working visit. They discussed the observance of the constitutional rights and freedoms of a person and a citizen in the oblast, key aspects of the work of the Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on human rights during the war, and arranging the residences of IDPs in Ternopil oblast.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
Khmelnytskyi community sent powerful EMS equipment worth UAH 1.5m. Since the beginning of 2024, the community has sent about 90 EMS and REP equipment.
Chernivtsi oblast
The RMA held a meeting of the working group on ensuring uninterrupted operation of mobile communications in all communities of the oblast. Mobile operators were obliged to ensure 10 hours of network operation during a power outage. Already by 1 October, 2024, 60% of operators’ base stations must be provided with autonomous backup power, and by the end of January 2025 – 100%.
Chernivtsi oblast ranks 8th in Ukraine in terms of inflow of foreign investments in the form of participation in the authorized capital of companies. For the period from 24 February 2022 to 30 April 2024, 109 such companies were registered in Bukovina. Enterprises with foreign investments from 28 countries of the world have been established and conduct production and economic activities in the oblast.
The RMA reported that Mykhailo Shcherban was awarded with the Defender of the Fatherland medal (posthumously).
International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Ukraine signed a security agreement with Slovenia. The agreement envisages deepening cooperation in the fields of information and cyber security, fight against organized crime, intelligence and counterintelligence.
