Ukraine’s Defense Forces are holding back the offensive of Russian occupiers. The terrorists continue to kill Ukrainians and destroy Ukrainian cities and villages with missile, air, and artillery strikes.
As of now, the total number of combat engagements stands at 79.
The Defense Forces are taking necessary measures to prevent the enemy from advancing deeper into Ukrainian territory.
Today, communities in the settlements of Velyka Pysarivka, Prokhody, Bachivsk, Stepok, Popivka, Vidrodzhenivske, and Studenok in Sumy region were affected by enemy artillery and mortar fire. Additionally, enemy aircraft struck the areas of Turiya, Krasnopillia, Myropilske, and Uhroidy in Sumy region.
In the Kupiansk direction, Russian occupiers launched two attacks near Petropavlivka and Zahryzove.
In the Lyman direction, the invading army carried out nine attacks today on Ukrainian positions near the settlements of Nadiia, Nove, Novomykhailivka, and Yampolivka. Three combat engagements are currently ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy is trying to advance in the areas of Chasiv Yar, Kurdiumivka, and toward Stupochky. Out of five attacks, the Defense Forces repelled three; fighting continues.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy is attempting to break into our defenses near Toretsk, Ozarianivka, and Druzhba. Two attacks are ongoing, and our defenders have already repelled four assault actions.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, Russian occupiers have made 48 attempts to dislodge our troops from their positions in the areas of Sukha Balka, Stara Mykolaivka, Zelene Pole, Vodiane Druhe, Yelyzavetivka, Novotoretske, Promin, Lysivka, Kotlyne, Uspenivka, Preobrazhenka, and Andriivka. The Defense Forces are holding the line and have repelled 45 attacks; three combat clashes are ongoing. Russian terrorist aircraft carried out strikes with guided bombs on Malynivka.
In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled six enemy assault actions. The enemy tried to advance near Kostiantynopil, Rozlyv, and Pryvilne. Oleksandrohrad, Voskresenka, and Novopil were hit by airstrikes.
In the Huliaipole direction, enemy aircraft launched unguided rockets on Huliaipole.
In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled an enemy attack near Mala Tokmachka. Stepove, Lukianivske, and Kamianske came under airstrikes.
In the Dnipro River (Prydniprovskyi) direction, the terrorist state carried out guided bomb strikes on the city of Kherson.
In the Kursk region, Ukrainian troops repelled four enemy attacks today. The invaders’ aircraft conducted four airstrikes, dropping four guided bombs. Additionally, the enemy carried out 200 artillery shellings of Ukrainian positions and settlements.
There were no combat engagements today in the Kharkiv, Siverskyi, Huliaipole, and Prydniprovskyi directions.
As a result of a Russian attack on the evening of April 16 in Dnipro, three people were killed, including one child, according to Serhii Lysak, Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration. Another 33 people were injured with varying degrees of severity.
According to available intelligence, China is supplying Russia with artillery, gunpowder, and is also involved in producing certain types of weapons on Russian territory. This was reported by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Kharkiv oblast
Frontline
On the Kharkiv axis, the enemy launched two assaults on the positions of Ukrainian forces near Vovchansk and Zapadne, according to the Regional Military Administration (OVA).
In the Kupiansk direction, five enemy attacks took place over the past 24 hours. The Defense Forces repelled assaults near Nova Kruhliakivka, Bohuslavka, Zahryzove, and in the direction of Petropavlivka.
According to the “Kharkiv” operational-tactical group, on April 16, Russian forces lost:
- 1 tank
- 5 artillery systems
- 9 special equipment units
- 45 UAVs
- 27 vehicles
on the Kharkiv axis alone.
Shelling
- In the morning, a Russian drone struck a cargo truck in the Oskil community.
10 people suffered concussions, bruises, and shrapnel wounds, said Oskil village head Hennadii Zahoruyko. All of them reached the hospital on their own. - On April 16 at 22:14, Russians attacked Izium city (Izium district) with a Shahed-type drone, igniting three private houses over a 600 square meter area. A 66-year-old woman suffered an acute stress reaction.
- Also at 22:14, Russians hit Izium again. Six people were injured:
- a 36-year-old man
- a 32-year-old woman
- a 7-year-old child
- a 55-year-old woman
- a 25-year-old woman
- a 32-year-old man
Around 100 buildings were damaged, and six were completely destroyed, according to Mayor Valerii Marchenko. An educational institution, previously damaged, was completely destroyed after the April 16 strikes.
Two Iskander missiles and six Shahed drones hit the city; eight people required medical assistance.
- At 22:12, the village of Pymonivka (Izium territorial community, Izium district) was attacked by a Shahed drone. A utility building burned down (15 square meters), and 8 cubic meters of firewood were destroyed. A private house and two outbuildings were also damaged.
- At 20:17, Tymofiivka village (Zolochiv territorial community, Bohodukhiv district) was hit by four FPV drones. A private house, garage, and car were damaged.
- At 19:55, the village of Oskil (Oskil territorial community, Izium district) was attacked. A civilian car was hit (weapon type being determined), injuring 10 people.
- At 17:25, the city of Kupiansk (Kupiansk district) came under attack.
- One FPV drone struck the ground near an inactive gas station.
- Another drone fell nearby but did not detonate.
- At 14:53, Monachynivka village (Kindrashivka territorial community, Kupiansk district) was shelled, damaging a residential house.
- At 12:52, Monachynivka was again attacked with multiple rocket launcher systems, damaging another house.
- At 07:12, Odnorobivka village (Zolochiv territorial community, Bohodukhiv district) was shelled with MLRS. A private house and two farm structures were damaged.
- At 07:02, a Lancet drone struck the village of Oskil (Oskil community, Izium district), igniting a cargo truck (9 square meters).
- At 07:00, another drone (type being verified) hit Izium, setting grass on fire over 5 square meters.

Other
The foreign volunteer unit “Guajiro”, which is part of the 13th National Guard Brigade “Khartia”, has received its battle flag and unit patches. The symbols were presented during an official ceremony attended by battalion commander Anton “Frantsuz” Baiev, Colonel Mykola Tiutiunnyk, and Chief Sergeant Dmytro “Volyniaka” Hrytsiuk.
“Guajiro” is composed of fighters from various countries around the world — from the United States and the United Kingdom to Latin American nations.

The Kharkiv Literary Museum has announced the longlist for the “Generation Nika” award in painting and literature. The award was established in memory of 18-year-old artist Veronika Kozhushko, who was killed.
Donetsk oblast
Frontline
Nearly 100 motorcycles, more than 20 armored vehicles, and around 240 Russian soldiers were eliminated on April 17 by fighters of the 14th Brigade “Chervona Kalyna”, according to the Commander of the National Guard of Ukraine, Oleksandr Pivnenko.
In the Siversk direction, Russian forces launched nine attacks over the past day. The occupiers assaulted Defense Forces positions near Vyiimka, Verkhnokamianske, Hryhorivka, and Ivano-Darivka, nearly doubling the number of attacks compared to the previous day, when there had been five assaults, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.
The heaviest fighting is in the Pokrovsk direction, where the enemy launched 29 assaults. More than ten Russian attacks were also recorded in the Lyman, Toretsk, and Novopavlivka directions within the day.
In the Toretsk direction, the Russian army is using heavy bomber drones. Such drones were spotted overnight on April 17 by soldiers of the 21st Separate Special Operations Battalion.
Defense Forces have liberated about 16 square kilometers of territory near Pokrovsk over the past few weeks, reported the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi.
Shelling
At least two people were killed and two more injured due to morning shelling in Donetsk region, according to the Regional Military Administration.
The occupiers killed two men in Kostiantynivka and Rusyn Yar (Illinivska community).
Two others were wounded in Novoekonomichne as a result of Russian army shelling, the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported.
The injured — a 31-year-old woman and a 71-year-old man — were hospitalized.

One person was killed as a result of a Russian artillery strike on Kostiantynivka during the night of April 17, according to Serhii Horbunov, head of the Military Administration. Russian forces shelled the city with tube artillery.
Over the course of April 16, police recorded 3,636 enemy strikes on the frontline and residential areas. Hits were registered in 10 settlements, including the cities of Kostiantynivka, Lyman, Myrnohrad, and Pokrovsk; the towns of Zarichne, Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka, Novoselivka; and the villages of Zoria, Poltavka, and Yablunivka.
A total of 48 civilian objects were damaged, including 41 residential buildings.

In Pokrovsk, Russian forces killed a civilian and damaged a private house.
In Myrnohrad, the enemy struck with artillery, injuring two civilians.
Lyman was attacked with drones and artillery — one person was wounded, and three private houses and three outbuildings were damaged.
Two people were injured in Zarichne, and one person was wounded in Kostiantynivka.
Russian forces dropped nine KAB-250 aerial bombs on the Illinivska community. In Zoria, 23 private houses, 2 apartment buildings, and an educational institution were damaged. In Poltavka, 11 private houses and 2 civilian vehicles were affected.
In Yablunivka (Illinivska community), an FPV drone damaged a private house.

Luhansk oblast
Over the past 24 hours, the enemy has used all available weapons, including 24 shelling attacks with tube artillery and two with rocket artillery. They attempted to target the shelters of Ukrainian defenders and villages around them using aviation. Additionally, the enemy deployed 202 drones. Attacks were carried out towards Nadiya and Hrekiivka.
In the so-called “LNR”, 55 individuals who participated in combat operations with the Russian army have been placed in educational institutions. Most of them teach subjects related to homeland defense and safety. They use war crimes committed on Ukrainian territory as examples to explain Russia’s “role in the modern world” and also train teenagers in shooting, military engineering, and drone operation.
The occupying authorities in Luhansk are complaining about a shortage of drivers, which occurred due to forced mobilization. This issue is particularly noticeable in public transportation and waste collection. In Luhansk alone, 40% of driver positions in specialized vehicles are currently vacant. Moreover, there are 300 driver vacancies for city routes in the city this year. In total, the “LNR” faces a staff shortage of up to 70% in this area.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
The city council reported that a free training programme for veterans is being launched in Bucha to teach them how to work with civilian drones. The aim of the project is to help veterans acquire a new profession and increase their competitiveness in the labour market. The skills gained can be applied in construction, agriculture, humanitarian demining, and other civilian industries.
Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko informed that the 112th Brigade of the Kyiv City Defence Force has received more than 1,800 UAVs from the community. Since the beginning of 2025, UAH 200 million has already been allocated from the city budget to equip this brigade.
Three new memoranda of cooperation were signed at the International Forum of Community Cohesion in Kyiv Oblast as part of the national project ‘Side by Side’. The Hirska rural community will assist the Tsyrkunivska rural community of the Kharkiv oblast, the Boyarska urban community will assist the Pervomaiska (Zlatopilska) urban community of the Kharkiv oblast, and the Feodosiyivska rural community will assist the Bilozerska settlement community of the Kherson oblast. In total, 26 territorial communities of the oblast have already joined this initiative.
Bucha Mayor Anatoliy Fedoruk reported that a 45-year-old resident of Vorzel, a father of five, was killed in the fighting in Luhansk oblast. Back in 2015-2016, Serhiy Korchemnyi fought in the ATO zone. In June 2024, he rejoined the Armed Forces of Ukraine and performed combat missions in Kharkiv and Luhansk oblasts.
The Ministry of Communities and Territories Development announced that a delegation of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), one of the five institutions of the World Bank Group, visited Irpin. IFC is a key partner of Ukraine in the reconstruction process: the corporation promotes the involvement of the private sector and business in the reconstruction of Ukraine. The ministry noted that 70% of the destroyed facilities have already been restored in Kyiv oblast, including 21,000 out of 30,000 houses, schools, hospitals, infrastructure and roads.
Zhytomyr oblast
Recently, a four-day intensive course for civilians was held at the training camp of the 46th separate airborne brigade of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The military training was attended by 29 boys and 15 girls who had applied and passed the preliminary selection process. The training included day and night firing, combat engagements, a psychological obstacle course and mine safety training.
Korosten Central City Hospital received humanitarian aid from Spain. Functional beds, couches and other medical equipment, as well as medication, hygiene products and non-perishable food, were delivered by international partners together with Ukrainian volunteers.
The Lubar hospital, thanks to cooperation with the French organisation Tulipe and a number of pharmaceutical companies from France, received medicines and supplies that are critical for daily work with patients.
According to Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration, more than two thousand amulets for Ukraine’s defenders were blessed in Zhytomyr as part of the Pysanka of Peace 2025 campaign.
Sumy oblast
The Regional Military Administration reported that on 17 April, the enemy carried out two strikes on critical infrastructure in Hlukhiv community using drones and UAVs.. Parts of Hlukhiv are without electricity. Restoration work is underway.
Olena Sharkova, Head of Myropillia community, informed that due to an enemy attack, three houses in Myropillia were damaged. Enemy forces struck the community around noon by cluster munitions, resulting in private houses catching fire.
At night, an enemy drone struck Kosivshchyna village in Stepanivka community. As a result, six houses were damaged. The house closest to the strike suffered the most.

Mykhailo Melnyk, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, said that in Sadivka community, an enemy strike around 2am. damaged an agricultural enterprise. The enemy’s ‘Shahed’ drone damaged agricultural machinery and administrative buildings.

According to the Regional Military Administration, russian forces struck Znob-Novhorodske community by an FPV-drone. As a result of the strike, a private residential house was damaged.
Overall, during the night and morning, russian forces carried out 44 shelling attacks on border areas and settlements in Sumy oblast. A total of 74 explosions were recorded. The following communities came under fire: Stepanivka, Sadivka, Yunakivka, Myropillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Nova Slobidka, Putyvl, Hlukhiv, Esman, and Znob-Novhorodske.
On the night of 17 April, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 7 enemy ‘Shahed’ UAVs in the skies over Sumy oblast. Since the beginning of 2025, the oblast’s air defense units have destroyed a total of 888 russian drones.
Throughout the past day, 16 April, russian forces carried out 141 shelling attacks on Sumy oblast, with a total of 257 strikes recorded. The enemy used mortars (55 explosions), MLRS (10 explosions), artillery (73 explosions), UAVs (2 explosions), FPV-drones (38 explosions), GABs (19 explosions), and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (54 explosions). Nine communities came under enemy fire: Verkhnio Syrovatka, Yunakivka, Myropillia, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Nova Slobidka, Shalyhyne, and Esman.
The Regional Military Administration reported that as a result of enemy attacks on 16 April, a private house was damaged in Verkhnio Syrovatka community, a village club building in Nova Slobidka community, three private houses in Shalyhyne community, and one private house in Velyka Pysarivka community.
The Operational Command ‘North’ informed that in Okhtyrka, as a result of a nighttime enemy attack on 16 April, 9 houses and a warehouse were damaged. The city was attacked by three drones. Fortunately, no people were harmed.
Artem Kobzar, Acting Mayor of Sumy, announced that 13-year-old Kyrylo Illiashenko was awarded the Honorary Distinction of Sumy City Council ‘For Services to the City’ III degree. On 13 April, when russian forces struck the center of Sumy by two missiles, the boy, despite suffering shrapnel wounds to his head, unlocked the doors and helped passengers escape from a wrecked bus. In addition to the award, Kyrylo was gifted a two-week stay at a children’s camp in Bulgaria on the Sunny Beach.
Chernihiv oblast
Halyna Shekhovtsova, Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment, reported that fighters of the 105th Border Guard Detachment, together with Defense Forces soldiers, destroyed russian engineering equipment near the border with Chernihiv oblast.
Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment informed that on 16 April, russian forces attacked three border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, and Snovsk. The enemy carried out mortar shelling (26 explosions), FPV-drone strikes (3 explosions), and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (17 explosions). Twelve settlements came under enemy fire.
Operational Command ‘North’ stated that russian forces attacked Semenivka community by mortars and dropped explosive devices containing incendiary mixtures from UAVs, causing houses in villages to catch fire. In Tymonovychi and Yanzhulivka, 21 uninhabited private houses were damaged as a result of russian shelling.
According to the Regional Military Administration, the shelter at Pryluky Educational and Rehabilitation Center has been renovated. The international humanitarian organization GER³ helped carry out a major overhaul. The shelter is now equipped with separate classrooms for schoolchildren and preschoolers, a rest area, sanitation facilities, upgraded engineering networks, and other necessary improvements.
Chernihiv Oblast Center for Emergency Medical Assistance and Disaster Medicine received two ambulances with intensive care capabilities, supported by the humanitarian organization Aide Medicale & Caritative France-Ukraine. These vehicles are equipped with essential life-support systems, including monitoring apparatus for vital signs, defibrillators, artificial lung ventilation devices, an oxygen system, stretchers, and vacuum mattresses.
Nearly 500 computers were recently delivered to Chernihiv oblast by Latvian volunteer Ingus Ostrovskis. The association ‘Brunotava,’ led by him, has donated such equipment for educational institutions in the oblast for the seventh time. The computers from this batch were distributed to 13 communities, as well as 6 vocational schools and institutions of professional pre-higher education.

Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Mykola Lukashuk, Head of the RMA, reported that the enemy once again launched a massive drone attack on Dnipro city and the oblast. 3 people were killed in Dnipro, including a child. 30 injured, including 5 children. Psychologists provided assistance to 24 people. Several fires broke out as a result of the attack. Approximately 10 private houses were damaged, along with 8 apartment buildings, nearly 15 vehicles, an educational institution, businesses, a supermarket, a post office, stores, a pharmacy, an administrative building and a dormitory. Explosions were reported in Mezhyrichka community of Pavlohrad region, where a truck and several vehicle storage units were damaged. Also, russian forces continued to strike Nikopol region, attacking in the evening and early morning by kamikaze drones and artillery. Nikopol, Myrove and Marhanets communities, came under attack. A fire broke out, and a garage, car wash, private house, outbuilding and gas pipeline were damaged. In the evening and morning, Ukrainian air defence systems were active, shooting down 10 enemy drones.
As a result of russian artillery shelling in a regional centre, 2 men – aged 56 and 61 – were killed. 5 people injured: men aged 45, 58, 74 and 38, and a 21-year-old woman. The strikes targeted the regional centre, Myrove, Pokrov, Chervonohryhorivka and Marhanets communities. Damage was affected on a business, a store, a café, 8 private houses, 4 outbuildings, vehicles, a bus stop, critical infrastructure and a gas pipeline. Also, the enemy attacked Slovianka community in Synelnykove region by drones, damaging a private house. Hrushivka community in Kryvyi Rih region was shelled, causing a fire. According to the updated information, 33 people were injured in Dnipro attack, including 6 children.

Vinnytsia oblast
According to Vinnytsia City Council, an additional 200 FPV drones have been delivered from Vinnytsia to Ukrainian forces on the front lines. The drones were provided to 4 special units of the National Guard.
Kirovohrad oblast
Andrii Raikovych, Head of the RMA, stated that at night, russian drones attacked Kirovohrad oblast. Administrative buildings sustained damage as a result of the attack.
Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine
Zaporizhzhia oblast
Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, reported that russian forces shelled Bilenke village in Zaporizhzhia oblast 5 times by artillery. There were no casualtie reported. Private houses and outbuildings were destroyed by the blast wave and debris. Transport was damaged.
Dmytro Voloshyn, Spokesperson of Southern Defence Forces, informed that Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled a large-scale russian assault in Zaporizhzhia oblast. The enemy deployed dozens of armored vehicles and over 300 military personnel. The attack was detected in advance by reconnaissance units, allowing Ukrainian forces to strike by drones and artillery. As a result, nearly 30 armored vehicles, 3 tanks and over 100 russian soldiers were eliminated.
Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia RMA, stated that in Stepnohirsk, russian forces used an FPV drone to target a civilian vehicle delivering water to front-line settlements.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled 6 russian attacks near Mala Tokmachka, Stepove, Lobkove, Novodanylivka, Kamianske, Shcherbaky and Mali Shcherbaky in Orikhiv region. No clashes were recorded in Huliaipole sector.
Ivan Fedorov, Head of the RMA, stated that on 16 April, russian forces launched 350 strikes on 15 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. In particular, 220 drones targeted Lobkove, Kamianske, Pavlivka, Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne and Novodarivka.
Mykolaiv oblast
Mykolaiv RMA reported that Ukrainian air defence shot down a russian drone over Mykolaiv oblast.
On 16 April and during the night of 17 April, russian troops attacked communities in Mykolaiv oblast by FPV drones. There were no injuries reported.
Odesa oblast
According to the Ukrainian Navy, as of 6am, no russian warships were observed in the Black or Azov Seas. 3 russian ships were in the Mediterranean Sea, all of which are carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles, with a total volley of up to 26 missiles.
During the day, in russia’s interests, 4 ships passed through the Kerch Strait into the Black Sea – 2 of which continued toward the Bosporus Strait. 6 ships passed into the Azov Sea, with 4 of them arriving from the Bosporus.
Referring to the Ukrainian Air Force, in the morning, russian drones were spotted over Odesa from the direction of the Black Sea.
Kherson oblast
Roman Mrochko, Head of Kherson City Military Administration, said that around 7:40am, russian forces used a drone to attack an ambulance in Dniprovskyi district of Kherson. The 61-year-old driver sustained blast trauma and head and pelvic injuries. A 65-year-old paramedic was diagnosed with mine-blast injuries and shrapnel wounds to the arm and leg.
At night, russian forces shelled Zelenivka village near Kherson, damaging several private houses.
An 80-year-old man was hospitalised after being injured in a drone attack in Dniprovskyi district of Kherson. He suffered a concussion, blast trauma, a closed head injury, and shrapnel wounds.
Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of the Regional Military Administration, stated that on 16 April, 1 person was killed and 15 others – including a child – injured due to russian shelling in Kherson oblast. The russian forces attacked 36 settlements, damaging 20 apartment buildings, 17 private houses, gas pipelines and vehicles.

Volyn oblast
A business forum was held in Lutsk with the participation of government representatives, Ukrainian and Polish businesses. The purpose of the event was to expand cooperation opportunities, particularly in the agro-industrial complex, as well as to officially open a representative office of the Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce in the regional center of Volyn.
Zakarpattia oblast
The Regional Council reported that Czech partners from the Vysochyna region handed over a Liaz Karosa truck to the Khust City Council.

The RMA held a meeting with the regional coordinator for work with Ivanna Kashchyshyn, communities in Ivano-Frankivsk oblast of the Crimea SOS NGO. They discussed the issues of conducting information and explanatory work on supporting internally displaced people, implementing active programs to promote employment among IDPs and writing grant projects.
Lviv oblast
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine awarded 3 Defenders from Sambir region with high state awards (posthumously). Ivan Chyzhovych and Ivan Vaskiv were awarded with the For Military Service to Ukraine Medal. Oleh Holovchak was awarded with the III degree For Courage Order.
Pidberiztsivska community purchased tires worth UAH 8,000 for a soldier from the village of Pidhirne. In Kulykiv, during a charity auction, UAH 621,700 was raised for equipment for the soldiers of Kulykivska community.
Rava-Ruska City Council sent 2 quadcopters to the Military Unit A4026 and 3 drones to the 103rd Separate Brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces named after Metropolitan Andrii Sheptytskyi. Zhovtanetsk community sent an FPV drone, 2 inverter generators, turnstiles, products and UAH 5,000 to the military.
Rivne oblast
Relatives of servicemen and IDPs in Rivne oblast learned how to bake Easter cakes. During the 2-day master class, participants from all over Ukraine managed to bake 120 Easter cakes. This initiative was held as part of the How are you? all-Ukrainian mental health program.
Ternopil oblast
The RMA held a meeting of the commission to consider applications from recipients of aid for the production of goods to meet needs of Defenders of Ukraine. Based on results of the Commission’s work, the accreditation of 3 local volunteer organizations and 6 manufacturers of defense products was approved.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
The RMA reported that a mental health center of the all-Ukrainian network RETURN will be created on the basis of Khmelnytskyi Regional Hospital for War Veterans.
Chernivtsi oblast
Hlyboka community has joined the Side by Side: United Communities national project, aimed at restoring the affected territories. The community signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Mylivska community, Kherson oblast. The Memorandum provides for a number of joint activities, including humanitarian support, relocation of enterprises, implementation of educational and cultural projects, and provision of medical and psychological assistance to outpost communities.
International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)
Germany provided Ukraine with another package of military aid, including missiles for the IRIS-T air defense system, Zuzana-2 artillery systems and armored vehicles.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, had a phone conversation with Alexander Stubb, President of Finland. They discussed support for Ukraine.
As part of the visit to the French Republic, the Ukrainian delegation, consisting of Andrii Sybiha, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rustem Umerov, Minister of Defense, and Andrii Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, held the 1st multilateral meeting at the Elysee Palace. They discussed a ceasefire and security guarantees with colleagues from Great Britain, Germany and France.
