On 15 August, there were 68 combat engagements on the front line.
russian occupiers continue to assault the positions of Ukrainian defenders.
Manukhivka and Porozok were affected by enemy artillery and mortar fire. In addition, russians carried out seven airstrikes, dropping 13 guided aerial bombs (KABs) towards Peremoha, Mykhailivske, Kostiantynivka, and Kindrativka.
Towards Kharkiv, there were five clashes near Lyptsi, Starytsia, and Vovchansk. Two battles were over, and three are ongoing.
Towards Kupyansk, the enemy conducted five offensive actions towards Hlushkivka, Andriivka, Kruhlakivka, Stelmakhivka, and Berestove. Three clashes are ongoing.
Towards Lyman, the enemy assaulted the positions of Ukrainian defenders near Makiivka and Nevske. The Defense Forces repelled all four russian attacks.
Towards Siversk, six battles took place. The occupier’s army advanced towards Spirne, Pereizne, and Verkhniokamianske, where one battle is still ongoing.
Towards Kramatorsk, two clashes occurred near Chasiv Yar, resulting in defeats for russian forces.
Towards Toretsk, the occupiers increased the number of attacks to 10, advancing near Zalizne, Niu-York, and Toretsk. Eight attacks were repelled, and two are ongoing.
The invaders also launched four airstrikes towards Druzhba and Toretsk.
Towards Pokrovsk, the russians carried out 23 assault actions towards the vicinities of Panteleimonivka, Vozdvizhenka, Kalynove, Zelene Pole, Novotoretske, Mykolaivka, Novohrodivka, and Skuchne. Ukrainian defenders held back the russian forces, repelling 15 attacks, with eight clashes still ongoing. Enemy losses on this front are being clarified.
Towards Kurakhove, the invaders unsuccessfully attacked seven times near Krasnohorivka, Kostyantynivka, and Heorhiivka.
Towards Vremivka, the enemy launched three assaults towards Ukrainian positions in the vicinities of Mykilske and Rivnopillia. They were unsuccessful.
Using aviation, the enemy fired unguided aerial rockets (NARs) against Novodonetske.
Towards Orikhiv, a clash took place near Mala Tokmachka.
Towards Kherson, russians suffered defeats during two attempts to breach Ukrainian defensive lines.
In other directions of the front, there were no significant changes.
The SSU source reported to UNIAN that special forces of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) captured 102 russian servicemen in a single operation in Kursk oblast. This is the largest mass capture of enemy forces in a single operation.
Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, reports that russia has transported about 500,000 tons of grain from the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia oblast. He also noted that the occupiers are taking away grains and technical crops from the region to Crimea and russia, where they are then exported.
Recent war events in the east of Ukraine
According to the General Staff, more than 140 russian attacks on Donetsk and Luhansk were repelled by the Defense Forces during the day. Most of them were towards Pokrovsk. Towards Toretsk, supported by the air force, the russian military carried out 24 attacks in the vicinity of Pivnichne, Nelipivka, Zalzhne, Niu-York and Toretsk.
Kharkiv oblast
The General Staff reported that as of 4pm three firefights each continue towards Kharkiv and Kupiansk.
Towards Kharkiv, since the beginning of the day, the russians have attacked five times near Lyptsi, Starytsia and Vovchansk.
Towards Kupiansk, the russian army attacked Hlushkivka, Andriivka, Kruhliakivka, Stelmakhivka and Berestove five times.
Yevhen Shapoval, Head of the Village Military Administration, informed that the occupiers hit a civilian enterprise in Kupyansk district with multiple rocket launchers around 3:30pm. Also russian strikes hit the enterprise in Vilkhuvata community. The two men killed in the strike were 45 and 58 years old. 5 people were injured. The hit caused a fire to break out in a warehouse building with a total area of 800 sq m. The russians also dropped two bombs on a local lyceum and the blast wave broke windows in nearby buildings. There were no casualties.

Viktor Kovalenko, Head of the Village Military Administration, reported that in the afternoon, downtown Zolochiv was under the russian attack. There were two strikes, preliminary, with guided aerial bombs. Private households were destroyed by a direct hit. A kindergarten, a music school, a social services centre and a post office were damaged.

In Zolochiv, the house of a 59-year-old woman with a disability was hit; she and her son were in another room. Another strike hit the yard of a private house and a 12-year-old boy and his father and grandfather were inside. One woman was injured while working in her garden.
The press service of Kharkiv police reported that currently, there are 6 victims. They noted that two women sustained shrapnel and explosive wounds and were taken to hospital. Another woman and two men suffered light injuries and an acute stress reaction. The issue of hospitalisation of a 12-year-old boy is being decided
At 7:46am, russians attacked Kozacha Lopan village, Derhachi community, Kharkiv region. As a result of the enemy shelling, a private house burned down.
At 5am, russians attacked Osynove village, Kupiansk region. The shelling destroyed a logistics infrastructure facility.
Yesterday at 10:20pm, russians attacked Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi village, Kupiansk region. As a result of the shelling, a 9-storey residential building was on fire.

At 10:45am, russians attacked Kupiansk. A 64-year-old civilian man was injured when a drone hit a car.
At 10am, russians attacked Bilyi Kolodiaz village, Vovchansk community, Chuhuiv region. A man and a woman, medics from the Hospitallers medical battalion, were killed as a result of an FPV drone shelling of a vehicle. Three civilians travelling in another car were also wounded.

Vladyslav Yefarov, Deputy Head of Police Department №1 of the Chuhuiv Regional Department, stated that on 14 August, russia attacked the Hospitallers in Bilyi Kolodiaz twice: first, it hit the medical station by MRLs, damaging the building, and when the medics began to evacuate the property in two cars and drove to another part of the village, they were hit by a russian drone.
At 9:30am, the russians attacked Kruhliakivka village, Kurylivka community, Kupiansk region. Two outbuildings were on fire.
At 9am, russians attacked Bilyi Kolodiaz village, Vovchansk community, Chuhuiv region. The shelling damaged the houses.
Kharkiv operational-tactical group informed that yesterday 96 russian invaders were injured and killed, 76 hideouts, 3 ammunition depots and 70 pieces of equipment destroyed towards Kharkiv.
Towards Kharkiv, there were 4 combat engagements near Vovchansk and Sotnytskyi Kozachok.
Towards Kupiansk, nine enemy attacks occurred during the day. The defense forces repelled the enemy’s assaults near Synkivka, Petropavlivka and Berestove.
Yurii Fedorenko, Commander of the Akhiles attack drones battalion, reports that the morning attack of the russian federation against Lyptsi on 13 August became the most massive in more than a month. Two columns of six combat vehicles the russian military tried to break the positions of the National Guard brigade Khartiia and the 92nd separate assault brigade of the Armed Forces. Four russian tanks were destroyed in their area, another damaged. From the column, which moved to the position of the 92nd brigade, only one russian tank managed to escape. The forward units repelled the assault under the cover of artillerymen of both brigades, as well as with the support of aerial reconnaissance of the 43rd artillery brigade.
Kharkiv operational and tactical group reports that in the vicinity of Lyptsi, there are cases of refusal of russian troops to perform combat and special tasks.
The press service of Kharkiv City Council reported, referring to the words of Mayor Ihor Terekhov, that in autumn, five thousand first-graders will start studying in Kharkiv schools. The city council notes that the construction of three shelter schools is ongoing and will be completed in two months.
Donetsk oblast
Serhii Horbunov, Head of the CMA, informed that russian troops shelled Kostiantynivka and for 15 minutes using Smerch multiple rocket launchers. The shelling started at 9:15am, there were three strikes in different parts of the city. Two people were injured. They were taken to hospital, their condition is moderate.
Ruslan Muzychuk, Spokesman of the National Guard of Ukraine, said that russian troops used armoured vehicles towards Pokrovsk. Also russia sends infantry for its assaults. In this area, the russian army is storming more than ten settlements. Serhii Tsehotskyi, an officer of the 59th Separate Motorised Infantry Brigade named after Yakiv Handziuk, stated that five dozen invaders have been eliminated, pilots destroyed BM-21 Grad, one 120mm mine ammunition depot, three drone control points, and damaged a lot of equipment, including motorcycles.
Yesterday the occupiers shelled 8 settlements, killing 2 civilians. Police recorded 2,701 attacks along the frontline and in the residential sector. Explosions were heard in Myrnohrad, Toretsk, Brusivka, Zoria, Maksymilianivka, Malynivka, Miroliubivka and Svitle.
Also russian troops shelled Maksymilianivka by artillery, killing a man and destroying a house.
In Zoria village of Illinivka community, a civilian was killed, 3 apartment buildings and 3 private houses damaged in the shelling.
The russians shelled Malynivka by artillery, destroying a house, a shop and a cafe.
The enemy shelled Brusivka village by Uragan multiple rocket launchers, damaging 2 private houses.
A house was destroyed in Toretsk as a result of artillery shelling.

White Angel crew delivered more than a tonne of food parcels to frontline Kurakhivka. Kurakhivka is located about 7km from the frontline. Also russian troops strike the village every day. Since the beginning of russia’s full-scale invasion of Kurakhivka, 18 residents have been killed and 38 injured. Now the village is home to more than 1,000 people, whom the police help to provide with the most basic necessities. There is an invincibility point for the residents. Due to the danger in Kurakhivka, families with children have been forced to evacuate.
The State Emergency Service reported that since the beginning of August, the Feniks (Phoenix)rescuers have evacuated 35 more people from Toretsk in Donetsk oblast.

Luhansk oblast
Artem Lysohor, Head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration, reported that the russian military shelled the de-occupied villages of Luhansk oblast almost a hundred times. They used mostly unmanned aerial vehicles, specifically, in Makiivka 59 times. Also russians fired at this settlement from a multiple rocket launcher system. They also attacked Makivka and Nevske by cannon artillery.
The enemy tried to force the Armed Forces of Ukraine out of their positions in Bilohorivka, near Nevske and Makiivka.
A group of more than 20 children from families of war veterans and fallen militants from the so-called “lpr” were gathered and sent to Kemerovo to participate in the “pride of the nation” project. One of the areas of training that awaits them is a young soldier’s course. They will also be introduced to the methods of russian propaganda and organise an in-depth course on rewritten history for children. It is emphasised that the event should strengthen the integration of the occupied territories into russian society.
In Lysychansk, the demonstrative reconstruction of several apartment buildings was stopped after the roofs were dismantled. Residents of the buildings complained to the local occupation authorities that the repairmen had started to restore only the surviving properties and dismantled the undamaged roofs. They demanded that the work be resumed. While the contractor was in no hurry, the houses were flooded from top to bottom as a result of a downpour. No one showed up to eliminate the consequences either.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of Kyiv Regional Military Administration, reported that at night, russia once again attacked Kyiv oblast with attack drones. Air defence forces were on alert. The alert lasted almost all night and was announced three times. No direct hits on residential or critical infrastructure were recorded. As of 1:00pm, 4 private houses and one car were damaged as a result of falling debris from the downed targets.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that the wreckage of a Shahed attack UAV was found near the Dnipro River in Obukhiv region. Divers lifted the wreckage out of the water using special equipment and brought it to the shore for further investigation. The wreckage was found by a local resident who is an experienced underwater hunter and suddenly encountered these pieces while being in the river at a depth of 5 metres.

The RMA reported that a regional meeting of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine was held in Kyiv oblast. The key issues discussed included readiness for the heating season, energy independence, regional reconstruction and preparation of educational institutions for the school year.
Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of the RMA, announced that the region’s readiness for the new heating season reached 70%. It is planned to install 19 cogeneration units in 6 communities of the region, 10 ESCO contracts for energy efficiency projects have been concluded, and solar power plants are being installed.
Kyiv recommends to organise the 2024-2025 school year as much as possible in a face-to-face format. Educators were provided with such recommendations in view of the security situation and the need for additional shelters in schools. Thus, over the past two years, the capacity of shelters in the capital’s general education institutions has increased by 67,000 seats.
Irpin is nearing the end of preparing educational institutions for the new school year. According to Mayor Oleksandr Markushyn, all lyceums, gymnasiums and kindergartens have been provided with generators. Additional funds for the purchase of fuel for educational institutions will be allocated from the budget.
The Ukrainian Women’s Guard invites girls and women to attend self-defence courses. The next class will be held in Kyiv on 18 August. The courses are conducted by trainer Viktor Kraievskyi. After completing the self-defence course, women will know what to do in case of an attack, learn to tame their fear and resist an attacker.

14 young men and women from the region received awards for special achievements in developing Kyiv oblast. Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of the regional military administration, presented the awards at the Youth Forum. At the end of the forum, the participants joined various educational and cultural activities held at different locations.
Zhytomyr oblast
The fifth open children’s football tournament in memory of Zhytomyr resident Dmytro Rud has started in Zhytomyr. In 2016, 18-year-old Dmytro volunteered to go to the front and served as a rifleman and medic with the 503rd separate battalion of the 36th separate marine brigade. He was killed on 16 May 2018 near Vodiane, Donetsk oblast, during the shelling of Ukrainian positions. According to the Decree of the President of Ukraine, Dmytro Rud was awarded the Order For Courage, III degree (posthumously).
A mobile mine safety classroom visited Malyne community. Rescuers conducted training for local residents in Kostopil, showing them what modern ammunition looks like and explaining the basic procedure for detecting explosive devices.
On 14 August, about 60 employees of one of Zhytomyr’s hospitals donated blood for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is not the first time the hospital has held a blood donor day.
Sumy oblast
Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that on the night of 15 August, in the sky over Sumy oblast, air defence units destroyed 4 enemy UAVs of various types.
At night and in the morning, russians fired 14 times at the border areas and settlements of Sumy oblast. There were forty explosions. Khotin, Yunakivka, Krasnopillia, Nova Sloboda and Esman communities were shelled.
On 14 August, russians fired 71 times at the border areas and settlements of Sumy oblast. There were 247 explosions. Khotin, Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Richky, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Nova Sloboda, Putyvl, Hlukhiv, Shalyhyne, Esman, Druzhbivka, Znob-Novhorodske, and Seredyna-Buda communities were shelled.
Bilopillia community: there were air strikes by UAVs (2 explosions), mortar shelling (15 explosions), artillery (3 explosions), and FPV drone strikes (5 explosions).
Khotin community: airstrikes by the KABs (2 explosions).
Hlukhiv community: a UAV attack (1 explosion).
Esman community: an air strike with a UAV (1 explosion), an FPV drone (1 explosion), mortar shelling (2 explosions) and artillery (8 explosions).
Shalyhyne community: FPV drone strikes (7 explosions), artillery shelling (6 explosions).

In Trostianets, reconstruction of two five-storey buildings that were destroyed during the occupation of the town in March 2022 continues. The restoration of five-storey buildings will return about 90 families to normal life. The full reconstruction is planned for completion by the end of 2024.
The overhaul of apartment buildings is being carried out at the expense of the Fund for Eliminating russia’s Armed Aggression Consequences.
Chernihiv oblast
The Chief Directorate of National Police in Chernihiv oblast reported that russian forces shelled residential buildings, agricultural structures, and a civilian infrastructure facility in Novhorod-Siverskyi region. Police documents the consequences of the enemy attack. No people were injured.
The russian army shelled seven villages in Novhorod-Siverskyi and Semenivka border communities of Chernihiv oblast. The attacks were carried out using artillery, mortars, FPV drones, and explosive devices dropped from UAVs. In total, the border guards recorded 66 explosions.
Novhorod-Siverskyi community:
Towards Kovpynka: seven attacks, likely from artillery.
Towards Hai: five attacks likely from artillery, two from FPV drones, and four more likely from 120 mm mortars.
Semenivka community:
Towards Tymonovychi: two hits, likely from explosive devices dropped by UAVs, and nine more, likely from 120 mm mortars.
Towards Khotiivka: one hit, likely from an explosive device dropped by a UAV.
Towards Prohres: four hits, likely from explosive devices dropped by UAVs, and six more, likely from artillery.
Towards Karpovychi: 17 attacks, likely from 120 mm mortars.
Towards Zarichchia: four attacks, likely from 120 mm mortars, and five more from FPV drones.
No casualties or injuries from shelling among the local population were reported.
Chernihiv City Council announced that a two-story building that was damaged in a missile strike on Chernihiv on 17 April began to undergo repairs. The work is funded by the city community’s budget and is expected to be completed before the start of the heating season. This building was damaged by russian shelling twice, the first time being at the beginning of the full-scale invasion in 2022.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Mykola Lukashuk, Head of the RMA, reported that the occupiers attacked Nikopol region in the evening, at night and in the morning. They attacked the regional centre and Marhanets with artillery and kamikaze drones. Throughout the day, the enemy carried out about a dozen and a half attacks in Nikopol region. They attacked the regional centre, Chervonohryhorivka, Marhanets, Myrove and Pokrovsk with artillery and kamikaze drones. A multi-storey building, 2 private houses, an agricultural company, private and transport enterprises, an administrative building, cars and infrastructure were damaged. They also attacked Pavlohrad. A fire broke out in a non-residential building. A 21-year-old man was injured. He was hospitalised in moderate condition.
Vinnytsia oblast
Vinnytsia Mayor Serhii Morhunov reported that 2,200 FPV drones have been delivered to the military from Vinnytsia oblast.
Seven veterans and servicemen undergoing rehabilitation at Vinnytsia Orthopaedic Center took a boat trip along the Southern Bug River. During the trip, they enjoyed the city’s scenery and listened to interesting facts about its history.
The fallen defenders from Vinnytsia oblast were posthumously awarded with the Order for Courage, III degree. The families of the fallen defenders were also honoured.
Kirovohrad oblast
In Kropyvnytskyi, residents are taught to fly FPV drones for free. The training was organised by the Ukrainian Volunteer Army.
Poltava oblast
Filip Pronin, Head of the RMA, reported that Air Defence Forces were on alert in Poltava oblast at night.
Cherkasy oblast
Ihor Taburets, Head of the RMA reported that Air Defence Forces destroyed five Shaheds in Cherkasy oblast.
Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine
Zaporizhzhia oblast
On 14 August, in Zaporizhzhia oblast there were 397 enemy attacks affecting 14 settlements. Civilians in Vasylivka region were injured, with 4 people – 2 men and 2 women – sustaining injuries.
The russian forces attacked the oblast by various weapons, including missile strikes, aviation, drones, MLRSs and artillery.
Malyshivka in Zaporizhzhia oblast was struck by a missile, while Lobkove and Huliaipole suffered from airstrikes.
Drones of different types, totaling 233 units, were used against 7 settlements, including Huliaipole, Novoandriivka and Robotyne. 11 MLRS attacks on 6 towns and villages, such as Orikhiv, Chervona Krynytsia and Preobrazhenka.
The most intense attacks came from artillery – 150 strikes targeted 10 settlements, including Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Huliaipole and Orikhiv.
There were 10 reports of destruction of residential houses and infrastructure.
Military counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine, in cooperation with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, destroyed a russian long-range radar station Kasta-2E2, valued at approximately UAH 60m.
In the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia oblast, russian forces continue the mass theft of grain and technical crops. This year, they have stolen around 500,000 tonnes of wheat, accounting for one-seventh of all the grain russia has stolen. Another 200,000 tonnes are expected to be taken.
Mykolaiv oblast
According to Mykolaiv RMA, on the night of 15 August, air defence forces in Mykolaiv oblast destroyed 5 Shahed-136/131 drones.
Also, late on 14 August, at 11:38pm, russian forces conducted artillery strikes on Kutsurub community. There were no casualties reported.
Mykolaivoblteploenergo continues its support for the Armed Forces ofUkraine. Alongside their union, the company has donated 200 FPV initiation boards to one of the military units. Previously, the employees contributed a day’s wages to purchase 4 DJI Mavic 3T quadcopters and also donated 10 Starlink systems, 40 drone batteries, 10 signal booster antennas, inflatable boats and essential tools for the defenders.
Odesa oblast
As reported by the regional prosecutor’s office, on 14 August, around 7:30pm, russian forces launched a missile strike on civilian port infrastructure in Odesa oblast. 2 people, a 39-year-old port worker and a 43-year-old grain truck driver, were injured in the attack. The blast also damaged 8 houses, with 31 windows broken across 19 apartments. Municipal workers continue to assess the damage.
Kherson oblast
Volunteer Vladyslav Zavtur, from the Mavi Hilal Ukraine charity, died in a hospital after being wounded in a russian attack on Kherson on 14 August. Another volunteer, Andrii Studynskyi, was killed at the scene. The russian forces attacked Dniprovskyi district of Kherson by a drone while the volunteers were distributing free water to the residents.
According to Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson RMA, on 14 August 1 person was killed, and 13 others, including a child, were injured due to russian shelling in Kherson oblast.
He reported that the russian military targeted Antonivka, Sadove, Zymivnyk, Kizomys, Stanislav, Sofiivka, Mykilske, Prydniprovske, Soniachne, Beryslav, Dudchany, Mykhailivka, Chervonyi Maiak, Zmiivka and Kherson by artillery and airstrikes.
The russian forces struck critical infrastructure and administrative buildings, as well as residential areas, including 16 private houses. They also damaged a gas pipeline, farm buildings, garages, private cars, a rescue vehicle and agricultural machinery.
Overnight, the region’s air defence forces shot down 8 enemy Shahed-131/136 drones.
On 14 August, russian occupation forces in Kherson oblast attacked firefighters in Stanislav. While firefighters from Bilozirka and workers from the local fire department were extinguishing a fire caused by russian shelling, the occupiers struck again. A rescue vehicle was damaged by explosives dropped from a drone. 4 firefighters who were outside sustained minor injuries, including concussions and explosive injuries. After receiving medical aid, the injured refused hospitalisation.
In the evening, the occupiers struck the central part of Kherson. A private yard was hit, causing a fire that engulfed the roof of a house, an outbuilding and a car. Firefighters arrived quickly and extinguished the fire.

Volyn oblast
Dmytro Zavhorodnii, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformations and Digitalization, visited Kolkiv Center of Professional Education, which the project of the European Investment Bank and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
Lutsk City Council sent a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with an extended wheelbase to the Military Unit A6175. In a few days, it will be refitted for combat missions.

The RMA held a meeting with representatives of the International Organization for Migration, namely, Hatem Marzuk, Head of the psychological support program, and Olena Shentseva, Coordinator of the program in the western regions. They discussed the mental health care system.
Taras Hren, Head of the RMA, reported on a meeting with representatives of veteran spaces in the oblast. They discussed the issue of finding funding to implement initiatives and supporting the work of such spaces.
Svetlana Lukianchyk, children’s nephrologist from Okhmatdyt, who was killed due to a russian missile attack, was awarded the III degree Order of Courage (posthumously). The medic was from Lviv. She was a graduate of the National Medical University named after Bohomolets. Svetlana Lukianchyk was killed as a result of a russian rocket hitting the territory of the hospital where she was working in the department of intensive and efferent therapy of chronic intoxications of Okhmatdyt.
In the UNBROKEN centre, for 3 months, doctors fought for the life of Myron Bas, a 29-year-old soldier from Lviv, who received an infectious complication from his wounds. Infected wounds are one of the most common and severe complications of mine-explosive injuries. Almost every defender who is treated at the rehabilitation centre comes with an infection, because the projectile fragments are contaminated with earth and grease, and it is almost impossible to treat the wounds immediately in the operating room at the front.
Rivne oblast
From Donetsk oblast, 175 people, including 41 children and 19 people with disabilities, came to Rivne oblast. This is already the 11th evacuation train since the beginning of the year and the largest number of simultaneous arrivals. Upon arrival, everyone received 1st aid. They were placed in 14 communities of the region. In the previous ten trains, 434 people arrived.
In the city of Varash, authorities met with relatives of the missing soldiers. The purpose of the event was to improve the dialogue between the relatives of the missing servicemen and representatives of specialised departments that are engaged in the search for Heroes and provide social support to their families.
The 1st Center for Veteran Development appeared in Rivne oblast. Among key tasks of the institution is to train specialists in veteran social support. Both ex-servicemen and their family members, as well as anyone willing, will be able to study. In addition, they will provide socio-psychological and legal assistance to defenders.
Ternopil oblast
Ternopil community sent a EW system to the 82nd Battalion of the 105th Territorial Defense Brigade. The equipment was manufactured in the city with the support of scientists from Ternopil National Pedagogical University.
The RMA signed a memorandum of cooperation between the Department of Veterans Policy of Ternopil RMA and Ternopil Regional Employment Center. Participants discussed ways of implementing the veteran policy in the oblast, opportunities provided by the state to veterans and their family members.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
Khmelnytskyi community sent 10 DJI MAVIC 3Es worth UAH 1.1m to the Defense Forces thanks to the budget funds.
Chernivtsi oblast
Lieutenant-Colonel Andrii Tarasenko and Captain Dmytro Yasenko were posthumously awarded the II degree Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi by decree of the President of Ukraine, for special services in the protection of state sovereignty, territorial integrity, and in strengthening the defence capability and security of Ukraine.
International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)
Andris Sprdus, Head of the Ministry of Defense of Latvia, reported that the country will send 500 drones of its own production to Ukraine. This year, the department allocated €20m to the drone coalition, of which over €10m is intended for the purchase of drones of its own production. In total, the coalition, which was created in February 2024, already includes 14 countries.
The Ministry of Health of Latvia reported that over 540 Ukrainian soldiers who were injured in the war with russia underwent medical rehabilitation in Latvia.
In New York, Ukrainian activists recalled the athletes who were killed by russia. They gathered in Time Square on the last day of the 2024 Olympic Games and the 900th day of russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine to hold a powerful flash mob and remember those who could compete for medals at these competitions, but were forced to fight for their lives.
