It has been the 1452  th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 4 pm:   

On 14 February, there were 98 combat clashes on the front.

The enemy from the territory of the russian federation launched artillery attacks on the vicinity of the settlements of Rohizne, Iskryskivshchyna, Volfyne, Ryzhivka, Kucherivka, Shpyl, Koreniok, Budky, Kysla Dubyna, Kruzhok in Sumy oblast.

Towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk, there were six combat clashes with the enemy, the enemy carried out 92 attacks on settlements and positions of our units, including three from multiple launch rocket systems.

Towards Southern Sloboda, the enemy attacked ten times in the vicinity of the settlements of Starytsia, Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory, Rybalchyne and in the direction of Hrafske, Okhrimivka, Kolodiazne. Three combat clashes are ongoing.

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy is trying to advance in the vicinity of ​​the settlement of Borivska Andriivka, Petropavlivka, Hlushkivka.

In total, three clashes took place in this direction, two of which are currently ongoing.

Towards Lyman, Ukrainian soldiers repelled six attacks by the invaders in the vicinity of ​​Hrekivka and towards Stavki, Drobysheve, and Lyman. Two attacks are still ongoing.

Towards Slavyansk direction, no enemy offensive actions have been recorded so far.

Towards Kramatorsk, russians tried three times to advance on the positions of our troops towards Novodmytrivka and in the vicinity of ​​Predtechyne.

Towards Kostiantynivka, the invaders carried out nine offensive actions near Pleshchiivka, Sofiivka and towards Illinivka, and Kostiantynivka. One attack is still ongoing.

Towards Pokrovsk, russian occupiers made 45 attempts to push Ukrainian  soldiers from the occupied positions in the vicinity of the settlements of Zatyshok, Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Novomykolaivka, Dachne and towards the settlements of Vilne, Bilytske, Nove Shakhove, Shevchenko, Novooleksandrivka, Serhiivka, Ivanivka. The defense forces are holding back the onslaught and have already repelled 42 attacks.

Towards Oleksandrivka, the aggressor attacked twice in the Zlagoda area.

Towards Huliaipole, the Ukrainian defenders repelled six attacks by the occupiers near Rybne, Dobropillia and Zaliznychne. In addition, enemy aircraft struck the settlements of Verkhnia Tersa, Hirke, Vozdvizhivka, Voskresenka, Samiilivka. Three clashes are still ongoing.

Towards Orikhiv, the enemy twice attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders near Primorske. The settlements of Orikhiv, Veselianka, and Yuliivka were hit by airstrikes with guided bombs.

Towards Kherson, the Defense Forces repelled the enemy attack.

In other directions, there were no significant changes in the situation.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

Activists of the “Yellow Ribbon” movement held resistance actions in the occupied cities of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts – Donetsk, Alchevsk, Perevalsk, placing yellow ribbons and leaflets.

The General Staff reported that towards Southerb Sloboda, russians attacked the positions of the Defense Forces 10 times in the vicinity of Starytsia, Vovchansk, Vovchanskiye Khutory, Rybalchyne, Hrafske, Okhrimivka, and Kolodiazne. Three clashes are ongoing.

Towards Kupiansk, russian occupiers are attacking in the vicinity of ​​Borivska Andriivka and Petropavlivka, Hlushkivka. Since the beginning of the day, there were three battles, two of which are ongoing

There were 218 clashes in the oblast.

Towards Southern Sloboda, the enemy tried to break through the defensive lines of our defenders 15 times, in the areas of the settlements of Prylipka, Starytsia, Vovchanski Khutory, Vovchansk, Lyman, Okhrimivka, Zybyne, and Mala Vovcha.

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy carried out two attacks in the vicinity of Bohuslavka and Pishchane.

That day, 7 settlements were subjected to enemy strikes.

As a result of shelling in the village of Fesky, Zolochiv community, a 22-year-old man was injured.

Also, doctors provided assistance to a 60-year-old woman who was injured on February 11 as a result of shelling in the village of Zolochiv.

The enemy actively used various types of weapons:

▪️6 UAVs of the Geran-2 type;

▪️1 UAV of the Molniya type;

▪️1 FPV drone;

▪️3 UAVs (type to be determined).

Civil infrastructure facilities were damaged and destroyed:

▪️In Bohodukhiv region, three private houses, outbuildings, power grids (Klynova Novoselivka village), a tractor (Baranivka village), a private house (Zolochiv village) were damaged;

▪️In Kupiansk, 2 private houses were damaged (Prykolotne village);

▪️In Kharkiv region, a car was damaged (Nova Kozacha village), a car, and agricultural machinery (Derhachi city).

Anna Hontar, a spokeswoman for the RMA,  says that a 22-year-old driver received a concussion as a result of a russian UAV hitting his car on February 13. The ussian attack occurred in Dergachi, said Alyona Sobolevska, a spokeswoman for Kharkiv region police: according to law enforcement officials, the man refused hospitalization.

On February 13, people in Skovorodinivka paid tribute to Hryhorii Shykula and his three children, who died on February 10 when a drone struck their house in Bogodukhiv. His pregnant wife survived and was injured. The family had recently purchased a home and was expecting their fourth child.

The transit evacuation point in Lozova received 142 people during the day. A total of 18,953 people have been registered at the Point since it began operating.

 

The girl and three adults were evacuated from Kupiansk by soldiers of the 41st Motorized Rifle Brigade, the brigade’s press service reported. Together with the family, pets were also taken out – two cats and a dog.

The people were taken to a safe place and offered them medical assistance, hot drinks and food. According to the soldiers, the situation remained tense throughout the route due to the threat of russian drones and shelling.

The couple Natalia and Oleh Makhanov from Kupiansk lost their homes twice due to the war – in 2023 their house was destroyed by shelling, later the “shaheed” destroyed the garage and car. Despite this, the family, which is raising eight children and has created a family-type orphanage, is currently settling in Vysoke in Kharkiv oblast in a house provided by the community.

The house at 122 Sumska Street in Kharkiv, where Ostap Vyshnia lived, became one of 17 damaged cultural heritage sites after the explosions on January 2. The building’s roof was torn off and its structures were damaged, and it requires a full technical inspection and restoration.

Donetsk oblast

The General Staff said that the rRussian military has increased the number of attacks in all directions in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.

Towards Pokrovsk, Ukrainian military stopped 56 assaults, towards Lyman – 17, towards Slaviansk – 11.

Towards Kostiantynivka, russian troops carried out 18 attacks near the settlements of Kleban-Byk, Pleshchiivka, Rusyn Yar, Sofiivka, Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Novopavlivka, and Stepanivka.

Towards Pokrovsk, in the area of ​​responsibility of the 4th operational brigade “Rubizh”, russian troops have reduced their movements – there are fewer attack aircraft. The reasons are cold weather, losses and a possible accumulation of forces, said serviceman Andrii Otchenash of the 4th operational brigade named after the Hero of Ukraine Sergeant Serhiy Mikhalchuk “Rubizh” of the National Guard.

Towards Pokrovsk, the Rrussian military continues to increase pressure, focusing on Hryshyne. russian units regularly try to accumulate forces near the outskirts of the settlement and carry out attacks in small groups, said the commander of the platoon of the “Shershni Dovbusha” unmanned systems battalion of the 68th OEB, Denis, call sign Hus.

The russian army uses difficult weather conditions, in particular fog and poor visibility, to infiltrate assault groups. At the same time, the Defense Forces record attempts by the russian federation to influence logistical routes – the use of “Zhdun” drones, remote mining and the active use of FPV on fiber optics.

On the night of February 13, in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk oblast, near Selydove  Ukrainian troops struck a russian warehouse of material and technical means. Also, near Komyshuvakha is a buildup of military equipment of the russian army.

The General Staff reported that on February 13, the Defense Forces struck a russian ammunition depot in Novoekonomichne region. The losses of the russian army and the scale of the damage caused are being clarified.

On February 13, there were 1,330 russian shelling of the front line and residential sector of the region.

7 settlements were under fire: the cities of Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk, Mykolaivka, Sloviansk, the villages of Dobropillia, Malinivka, Osykove.

17 civilian objects were destroyed, including 12 residential buildings.

The russians dropped two GAB-250 bombs on Sloviansk, damaging 11 private houses and a civilian car.

The enemy struck Kramatorsk with 9 drones of various types – damaging an apartment building.

In Druzhkivka, an enemy FPV drone damaged a civilian car.

Phoenix rescuers, together with police, evacuated 44 people from the Donetsk region during the week. 43 people were evacuated from the city of Druzhkivka, including 15 people with limited mobility, and one person was evacuated from Sviatohirsk.

Donetsk region police said that 84 people, including 8 children, were evacuated from Druzhkivka community on February 12. About 13,000 residents remain in the community, including more than 70 children.

250 portraits of the fallen soldiers of the Azov regiment were presented at the Kropyvnytskyi Art Museum. The exhibition was called “Azov Regiment – Angels of Mariupol.” Its purpose is to honor the memory of the Azov soldiers who died during the battles for Mariupol and as a result of a terrorist attack in the colony of temporarily occupied Olenivka, Donetsk oblast, organizer Vira Lytvynenko told the Suspilno.

In the libraries of Slaviansk, during 2025, more than six thousand russian-language and Soviet books were written off that had lost demand or were in surplus. Currently, six of the community’s 11 libraries are operating, serving about 3.7 thousand readers. The central library works only for lending, part of the valuable collection was evacuated to Dnipro. New receipts are mainly from donors: last year they received 260 books, in particular from the Ukrainian Institute of Books and Writers.

Luhansk oblast

russian forces carried out 28 assaults along the Lyman and Sloviansk sectors of the front, attempting to identify weak points in the defense near 11 settlements, including in the Luhansk region — in the area of Hrekivka. Ukrainian defensive positions were attacked with five drones, and the enemy also used mortars and grenade launchers.

In the occupied territory, ideological and military pressure continues to intensify. Starting September 1, schools in the so-called “LPR” will reduce hours of foreign language instruction and introduce a new subject, “Spiritual and Moral Culture of the Russian Federation,” for fifth-grade students, with plans to extend it to grades 6–7. At the same time, in the Luhansk district community, representatives of the Russian military enlistment office are campaigning among graduates to sign contracts with the Russian armed forces, particularly at Bilorechenska School, against the backdrop of the decline and looting of local coal mining enterprises.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

According to Mykola Kalashnyk, head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, a married couple was injured as a result of another russian attack on the night of 14 February in the Vyshhorod district. The man suffered multiple shrapnel wounds to his upper limbs, face and neck. The woman suffered a closed fracture of the forearm bones. Both victims were hospitalised. The attack also caused a fire in their private home, which was extinguished by the State Emergency Service.

Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko reported that 14 air raid sirens rang in the capital this week. Together, they lasted more than 12 hours. As a result of the enemy attack on the night of 12 February, two people were injured, and critical infrastructure, residential and non-residential buildings damaged. Almost 2,600 buildings in the capital were left without heat.

Klychko reported that heating has been restored to 400 buildings in the capital. Utility workers are working to restore heat supply to other high-rise buildings that were left without heat as a result of the enemy’s attack on Kyiv’s infrastructure on 12 February.

According to the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Students of the Kyiv railway football academy Lokomotiv recorded a video message to FIFA President Gianni Infantino and sent him a football ball damaged by a russian missile strike. This symbolic gesture served as a reminder to the global football community about the war in Ukraine and its impact on children’s sports. We remind you that on 23 January 2024, the russians destroyed the Ukrzaliznytsia sports complex, where children trained.

The Kyiv City State Administration reported that the first batch of humanitarian aid arrived in Kyiv from Slovakia – 16 generators of various capacities and two sets of 8 kW charging stations with a total value of €166,000. The three most powerful generators were delivered to schools in different districts of the capital.

Zhytomyr oblast

In Zhytomyr, there is a space for teenagers called ‘Svity’, attended by children of internally displaced persons and military personnel. The centre has been operating since January 2024, offering rehabilitation programmes, educational courses and psychological support, as well as various workshops and training sessions. Marina Hrynchuk, head of the SviTy centre, reported that 184 teenagers have completed the rehabilitation programme. That’s over 1,500 classes and more than 250 psychological consultations for parents and teens. 108 teens went to camps in the Carpathians, Estonia, and Germany.

The Berdychiv community continues to develop psychosocial support services that help people restore their inner balance, cope with stress and the effects of traumatic experiences. Recently, Iryna Hladka, coordinator of the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Programme in Zhytomyr Oblast, together with a representative of the Coordination Centre of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine / Mental Health UA, paid a working visit to community institutions that provide psychosocial support services.

Sumy oblast

The State Emergency Service reported that on the afternoon of 13 February, a russian UAV attacked a garage cooperative in Sumy. The building, where five people were present, caught fire. The people were evacuated and no one was injured.

As a result of russian shelling in Sumy oblast on 13 February, one person was killed and three were injured. According to the Regional Military Administration, a 44-year-old woman was killed in a UAV attack in Konotop community, while a 16-year-old boy and a 23-year-old man were injured. In Sumy community, a 22-year-old man was injured in a russian drone strike.

Over the course of the day, from the morning of 13 February to the morning of 14 February, russian forces carried out more than 50 attacks on 21 settlements across 10 territorial communities of the oblast. The enemy used mortars, artillery, MLRS, FPV drones, UAVs, and guided aerial bombs. Air raid alerts in the oblast lasted for 15 hours and 3 minutes over the day.

Civilian infrastructure was damaged or destroyed:

  • In Sumy community, premises of a medical facility, a vehicle, a non-residential building, and a civilian infrastructure facility were damaged;
  • In Shostka community, a non-residential building was damaged;
  • In Konotop community, apartment buildings, private residential houses, premises of an educational institution and a shop, a civilian infrastructure facility, and a vehicle were damaged;
  • In Znob-Novhorodske community, a private residential house was destroyed and civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged;
  • In Seredyna-Buda community, a private residential house, outbuildings, and civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged.

Over the day, local authorities, together with units of the State Emergency Service, the National Police, and public organisations, evacuated 11 people from border communities.

Chernihiv oblast

Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration, informed that on 13 February, russian forces attacked Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional State Administration. According to him, as a result of a strike by a Heran-type UAV, the administration building was “virtually destroyed”. Firefighters extinguished the blaze at the site.

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, said that in a village of Koriukivka region, a civilian vehicle was damaged in an FPV drone strike on 13 February.

Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment reported that over the course of 13 February, russian forces attacked Novhorod-Siverskyi and Semenivka border communities in Chernihiv oblast. The town of Novhorod-Siverskyi and eight villages came under enemy fire. The enemy carried out mortar shelling (eight explosions) and MLRS strikes (10 explosions), launched a Shahed-type UAV (one explosion), conducted FPV drone attacks (14 explosions), and dropped an explosive device from a UAV (one explosion).

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

According to Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, the enemy attacked the region by UAVs and a guided aerial bomb, targeting Synelnykove and Vasylkivka and Pokrovske communities. Fires broke out. A gymnasium and a summer kitchen were set ablaze, and 11 private houses were affected. A transport enterprise was damaged.

The occupiers also shelled the regional centre, as well as Marhanets, Pokrovske rural, and Chervonohryhorivka communities by drones and artillery. A fire broke out. A shopping centre, three apartment buildings, five private houses, a garage, vehicles, and infrastructure facilities were damaged.

Vinnytsia oblast

In Vinnytsia, a remembrance rally dedicated to prisoners of war and those missing in action was held under the slogan “Separated by War — United by Love”. The event was initiated by the families of servicemen of the 59th Brigade and the 9th Separate Brigade.

Kirovohrad oblast

A charity run was held in Kropyvnytskyi to raise funds for the repair of a vehicle for a unit deployed towards Zaporizhzhia.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, reported that a 5-year-old child was injured as a result of a russian attack on Zaporizhzhia oblast. The russian forces struck a road in Komyshuvakha by an FPV drone, damaging a vehicle. The injured boy is receiving all necessary medical assistance.

According to the State Emergency Service, on 13 February as a result of Russian shelling, 5 fires broke out in Zaporizhzhia oblast. Residential houses, a warehouse facility and a vehicle caught fire.

Ivan Fedorov, Head of the RMA, reported that a 55-year-old man was injured during a russian attack on Polohy region. He received emergency medical care and will be transferred to the regional hospital.

The SES reported that emergency responders rescued a 79-year-old man and an 86-year-old woman who suffered carbon monoxide poisoning in one of the settlements of the oblast. The woman was hospitalized, while the man refused hospitalisation.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on 13 February, Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled 38 russian attacks on Huliaipole and Orikhiv regions. Combat engagements took place near Huliaipole, Zahirne, Dorozhnianka, Mali Shcherbaky, Plavni and in the directions of Zaliznychne, Staroukrainka and Prymorske.

Ivan Fedorov, Head of the RMA, stated that on 13 February, russian forces launched 655 strikes against 41 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. In particular, 266 artillery strikes targeted Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Stepove, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Dorozhnianka, Varvarivka, Zelene, Solodke, Dobropillia and Pryluky. One person was killed and 3 injured as a result of attacks in Polohy and Zaporizhzhia area.

Mykolaiv oblast

Based on the information provided by Mykolaiv RMA, in the morning and afternoon of 13 February, russian forces attacked energy infrastructure in Mykolaiv oblast by Shahed-type drones, causing power outages for some consumers in Bashtanka region and Mykolaiv. Electricity supply was restored later in the evening. A transport infrastructure facility was damaged, and 18 windows in residential buildings in Mykolaiv were shattered. There were no casualties reported.

Odesa oblast

According to the City Military Administration, as a result of a russian drone attack on Odesa, a single-story building was damaged in one of the city’s districts. A 75-year-old woman was killed.

The RMA reported that on 13 February, russian forces launched 2 Kh-31 anti-radiation missiles at Odesa oblast; however, they failed to reach their targets. The launches were carried out by a russian Su-30 fighter aircraft from the Black Sea area.

Kherson oblast

According to the Regional Military Administration, at approximately 11am, a woman was injured after stepping on a russian explosive device in Dniprovskyi district of Kherson. The 68-year-old resident triggered a “petal-type” anti-personnel mine, sustaining blast injuries and traumatic amputation of toes.

Around 7am, russian drone strikes hit Dniprovskyi district of Kherson. A 66-year-old woman sustained severe injuries, including blast trauma and shrapnel wounds to her legs and abdomen. A 65-year-old man was diagnosed with blast trauma and a shrapnel injury to his arm.

At about 11pm the previous day, russian forces attacked Krupytsia village in Novoraisk community by a UAV, dropping an explosive device on a 48-year-old man. He sustained fatal injuries.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

Psychologists from the State Emergency Service of Lutsk held a special session for defenders undergoing rehabilitation and treatment. Defenders tried finger painting, which helped them relieve emotional tension and switch to positivity. Soldiers also created warm Valentine’s Day cards, putting sincere wishes for their loved ones in them.

Zakarpattia oblast

The RMA reported that the 1st adaptive billiards tournament among veterans was held in Uzhhorod.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The twin cities of Opole (Poland) and Jelgava (Latvia) have donated powerful generators to Ivano-Frankivska community. These generators will strengthen the city’s critical infrastructure.

Lviv oblast

During a charity fair on the occasion of the Armed Forces Day of Ukraine, the Taras HorodetskyI Lyceum managed to raise almost UAH 72,000 to support the defenders.

Lviv community sent 20 MARA-2 UAVs, 100 FPV drones, and 100 km of optical fiber worth over UAH 13m to three military units.

Rivne oblast

Rivne oblast continues to provide assistance to the capital. Brigades of utility companies from Zdolbuniv, Dubno and Varash are working to restore heat and water to the homes of Kyiv residents. The brigade of the Mlynivka district of Rivneoblenerho PrJSC is restoring electricity. In addition, the Indestructibility Points deployed by Rivne rescuers continue to operate.

Ternopil oblast

Defenders from Ternopil receive one-time financial assistance to purchase equipment. In 2025, funds were provided to 3,243 soldiers.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

This year, Khmelnytskyi introduced personal bonuses for the best employees in the housing and communal services sector. They will be paid UAH 25,000 each.

Chernivtsi oblast

Chernivtsi said goodbye to Yevhen Mykhalchuk, soldier of the Military Unit A2167. The Hero was killed in October 2024 while performing a combat mission in Donetsk oblast.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, held a meeting with partners in the Berlin format. The key focus is on the situation in the energy sector, recovery. Ukraine will form and send partners a list of needs for supporting energy infrastructure and the military sector. They also discussed diplomatic work, the importance of supporting Ukraine.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, met with Jonas Gahr Store, Prime Minister of Norway. They discussed priorities for supporting Ukraine in the military and energy sectors.
