On 13 September, the situation along the frontlines remained tense. Ukrainian defenders continue to actively counter russian aggression, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment.
There were 69 engagements on the front line.
Border settlements in Sumy, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv oblasts continue to suffer from artillery shelling from russian territory. Semenivka, Starykove, and Vidrodzhenivske were hit by barrel artillery and MLRS fire. There were airstrikes on Pavlivka, Okhtyrka, Yampil, and Kysla Dubyna, using eight guided bombs. russia also bombed its own Kursk oblast, with 15 strikes involving 16 bombs reported.
Towards Kharkiv, russian occupiers unsuccessfully attacked Ukrainian defensive lines once near Hatysche.
Towards Kupiansk, Ukrainian soldiers repelled two russian assaults near Petropavlivka and Stelmakhivka. Three other engagements continue near Synkivka, Hlushkivka, and Lozova.
Towards Lyman, russians carried out 14 attacks near Kopanky, Hrekivka, Makiivka, Nevske, Yampilivka, Torske, Serebrianka, and Bilohorivka. Ten of these engagements were over, while four battles are still ongoing. russian forces used assault aviation near Novoiehorivka and the Serebrianske forestry.
Towards Siversk, the aggressor attempted to advance near Verkhnokamianske, Spirne, and Vyiimka. Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled three enemy attacks.
Towards Kramatorsk, russian forces launched three assaults near Chasiv Yar and Andriivka. One engagement has ended, while two others are ongoing. russians also struck Bondarne and Chasiv Yar with guided bombs and unguided rockets.
Towards Toretsk, with air support, two attacks were conducted near Dachne. russian airstrikes also targeted Toretsk, Kostiantynivka, Shcherbynivka, and Petrivka, with nine bombs dropped.
Towards Pokrovsk, the enemy made 11 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions near Zelenyi Hai, Vozdvyzhenka, Novooleksandrivka, Myroliubivka, Novotroitske, and Hrodivka. Ukrainian forces repelled nine of these attacks, with two battles still ongoing.
The most intense fighting today is towards Kurakhove, where the occupiers conducted 21 assaults near Ukrainsk, Zhelanne Pershe, Heorhiivka, Kostiantynivka, and Katerynivka. Four battles are still ongoing near Kostiantynivka and Zhelanne Pershe.
Towards Vremivka, Ukrainian troops repelled four enemy assaults near Katerynivka, Vuhledar, and Zolota Nyva. Three more engagements are still ongoing near Vuhledar.
Towards Kherson, Ukrainian forces repelled one enemy attack, while another battle is still in progress. Mykolaivka, Odradokamianka, and Kozatske were struck by unguided aviation rockets.
No offensive actions were recorded towards Orikhiv or Hulyaipole.
Forty-nine Ukrainian war prisoners have been returned home, including soldiers from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, National Guard, National Police, Border Guard, civilians, and 15 Azov fighters.
President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that russia has committed 137,000 war crimes in its war against Ukraine, emphasising that the number of convictions should be no less than the number of crimes.
Recent war events in the east of Ukraine
According to the General Staff, russians attacked Ukrainian positions towards Kurakhove more than 60 times yesterday. This is more than half of all attacks carried out by russian troops in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts on 12 September.
The russian army attacked 64 times towards Kurakhove, about 75% of them were near Kostiantynivka and Heorhiivka villages.
Towards Pokrovsk, russian invaders attacked 36 times. The attacks were concentrated near Hrodivka and Novohrodivka.
Kharkiv oblast
At 4:51pm, Kyivskyi district was hit. According to the RMA, 2 private houses and 1 non-residential building were damaged as a result of hostile shelling. 5 people were injured: three women aged 39, 70, 83, a 33-year-old man and a 10-year-old girl (acute stress reaction).
At 11:49pm, Novooosynove village of Kurylivka community, Kupiansk region, was targeted. As a result of the shelling the grass was burning on the area of 100 sq m.
At 11:48pm, Borova village of Izium region was attacked. As a result of the shelling the grass was burning on the area of 400 sq m.
At 4:53pm, Derhachi of Kharkiv region was shelled. 3 people were injured as a result of the shelling of the UAV: two women of 65 and 54 years old, and a 31-year-old man.
At 3:20pm, Bilyi Kolodiaz village of Vovchansk community, Chuhuiv region was hit. An outbuilding was on fire.
At 1:03pm, Borova village of Izium region was attacked. The shelling damaged 4 private houses, three outbuildings, a garage. 10 people were injured (3 of them were rescuers) and 3 killed.
At 12:47pm, Borova village of Izium region suffered. The roof of the shop was burning as a result of the shelling. A 64-year-old woman died.
At 12:04pm, Kupiansk was attacked. A club and a civilian building were burning as a result of the shelling.
At 11:20am, Hlushkivka village of Kurylivka community, Kupiansk region, was attacked. The shelling resulted in a direct hit to the territory of the farm, the sheds were destroyed.
At 11:15am, Novooosynove village of Kurylivka community, Kupiansk region, was hit. The shelling damaged a house and outbuildings.
At 11:08am, Morozova Dolyna village of Zolochiv community, Bohodukhiv region, was shelled. A car was damaged as a result of an FPV drone strike. A 54-year-old man was injured.
Towards Kharkiv, the enemy attacked four times near Vovchansk. Moreover, enemy aviation conducted two attacks with five anti-aircraft missiles on civilian infrastructure.
Towards Kupiansk, there were eight attacks yesterday. Defence forces repelled enemy assaults near Synkivka, Hlushkivka, Kolisnykivka, Stelmakhivka and Lozova.
Donetsk oblast
The 46th Brigade reported on their website that the soldiers of repelled one of the largest assaults of the russian army towards Kurakhove. The paratroopers destroyed nine infantry fighting vehicles, two tanks, two armoured personnel carriers and two more motorcycles, and damaged 11 infantry fighting vehicles.
Petro Andriushchenko, Mariupol Mayor’s Councilor, informed that on the night of 13 September, explosions were heard in the temporarily occupied Mariupol, followed by the sound of fire and the detonation of ammunition. Drones hit, specifically, a russian ammunition and missile depot near Hlyboke.
The russians killed four residents of Donetsk oblast and wounded 10 others, including a child. Yesterday russian troops fired 2,516 times at the frontline and residential areas.
The enemy fire hit 11 settlements: Hirnyk, Kostiantynivka, Kurakhove, Pokrovsk, Toretsk, Kurakhivka, Shevchenko, Brusivka, Viroliubivka, Krasnoiarske and Sukha Balka.
42 civilian objects were damaged, including 26 residential buildings, outbuildings, cars, and critical infrastructure.
The occupiers dropped two FAB-250 bombs with an UMPK module on Krasnoiarske, killing a civilian and injuring four others. Four private houses were destroyed.
The enemy shelled Viroliubivka with artillery, killing three representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross and wounding two others. Three vehicles of the humanitarian mission were damaged.
Two civilians were injured and 14 private houses and critical infrastructure were damaged as a result of shelling in Kostiantynivka.
A child was wounded in Sukha Balka.
The enemy launched an artillery attack on Kurakhove. One of the shells hit a 5-storey residential building, causing several apartments to catch fire. There was a wounded man and three apartment buildings were damaged.
Also russians attacked Pokrovsk with two FAB-250 bombs with an UMPK module, damaging a critical infrastructure facility, a civilian car and a non-residential building.
In Hirnyk, an apartment building and three private houses were damaged as a result of hostile attacks.
Vasyl Chynchyk, Head of the CMA, said that about 1,600 people still live in Toretsk community. Since June 2024, about 8,000 residents have been displaced from the town and villages.
The deadline for applying for financial assistance to buy firewood for residents of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts who live in private houses within 10km of the front line has been extended until 25 September. People will be compensated UAH 21,000 for solid fuel.
Luhansk oblast
According to the RMA, only 20 people remain in the frontline settlements of Luhansk oblast and they continue to receive regular aid, including food, hygiene products, and, if necessary, construction materials to quickly restore houses damaged by shelling.
The invaders shelled Nevske and Makiivka with cannon and rocket artillery, and dropped bombs from UAVs. The russians attacked with the support of aviation. The fighting took place near Stelmakhivka and Nevske.
Also russian law enforcement agencies made a request to all military registration and enlistment offices in the so-called “lpr” for information about people who had received russian citizenship but had not re-registered for military service. Such men from the occupied Luhansk oblast will be deprived of russian citizenship. This is a requirement of the law recently adopted by the kremlin. It will be applied immediately after the documents are checked and there is no fresh stamp from the military registration and enlistment office. This applies exclusively to residents of the “lpr” and other occupied territories. In the regions of the russian federation, such a violation is punishable by a simple fine.
In Starobilsk schools, the occupiers distribute printed propaganda materials about signing a contract with the russian army. Young men, who have turned 16 years old in the so-called “lpr”, were registered for military service until 31 March 2024. Educational institutions ensured mandatory attendance at military registration and enlistment offices.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
Kyiv Regional State Administration reported that Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of the RMA, met with Alexandru Victor Micula, Ambassador of Romania. As part of the meeting, Kyiv Regional Development Agency and the New Strategy think tank of Romania signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation. The main cooperation will be in attracting foreign investment, primarily in the defence industry of Ukraine, targeting electronic warfare, anti-aircraft systems, and air defence systems. The memorandum aims at increasing the level of cooperation between Kyiv oblast and the Romanian private and public sectors, including the business environment.
The RMA also announced that 158 apartment buildings will be restored in Kyiv oblast under the Renovate HOME programme, which is being implemented with the assistance of the Energy Efficiency Fund. During the implementation of the Restore HOME programme, the largest number of applications were received and approved from the Irpin community. In Irpin, 133 houses will be comprehensively repaired and insulated. 14 houses in Hostomel, 8 in Bucha, 2 in Makariv and 1 in Sofiyivska Borshchahivka have been accepted for the programme. A total of 77 such facilities have already been completed, 53 have been partially completed and another 28 applications are in progress.
According to the RMA, since the beginning of the year, 550 combatants have used the services of Kyiv Regional Employment Service. 141 of them have already been successfully employed. The programme ‘Grant for Veterans and Their Families’ is also being implemented in Kyiv oblast. This year, 67 people received a grant to develop or start their own business. This will create 157 jobs. In addition, 14 combatants received vouchers for training, which will allow them to learn new professions or improve their existing skills.
Zhytomyr oblast
Zhytomyr Oblast Military Administration reported that Vitaliy Bunechko, Head of the RMA, together with the heads of communities from all over Zhytomyr oblast, held a regular offsite meeting. This time, Bilokorovychi and Olevsk communities shared their experience of implementing projects important to their residents. The participants discussed the most pressing issues, including improving the effectiveness of assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Strengthening of the oblast’s defence capability was additionally discussed at one of the locations near the border with Belarus, where the construction of new fortifications was recently completed.
Zhytomyr RMA reported on the fourth meeting of the Barrier-Free Hour. During the meeting, the participants heard reports on the state of implementation of the National Strategy for Creating Barrier-Free Space in Cultural Institutions of Zhytomyr oblast. The participants also discussed the need to continue working towards creating a barrier-free space. Particular attention was paid to cooperation with international organisations and the use of new inclusive technologies. The implementation of these initiatives is expected to improve conditions for people with disabilities.
The RMA also reported that in the summer of 2024, Zhytomyr oblast provided organised leisure and recreation for children of different categories. According to the operational data of the Department of Social Protection, 96 day camps operated in the oblast where 8691 children had a rest. In addition, 411 leisure camps were organised without meals, where more than 31,000 children were able to relax. Cultural and artistic programmes involved 462 children. The summer season of 2024 was an important step in ensuring quality health and recreation for children in Zhytomyr oblast , especially those who need special support in this difficult time.
Sumy oblast
Sumy Regional Military Administration informed that around 9am on 13 September, russian forces attacked Yampil in Sumy oblast with three guided aerial bombs. As a result of the strikes, two people were killed, and nine others, including a child, were injured. The bombs hit civilian infrastructure, with four explosions recorded. Damage was reported to apartment buildings, a hospital, and electricity was cut off.
Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that around 4:45am, russian forces struck Okhtyrka with a guided aerial bomb. Two elderly women passed away due to stress caused by the attack. The shelling damaged farm buildings, cars, and business premises, while windows in several apartment buildings were shattered.
Sumy Regional Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that a 42-year-old man, injured during a russian attack on Konotop the day before, died in a hospital on 13 September. Konotop Mayor, Artem Semenikhin, stated that Denis Horokh was injured while trying to assist locals during the attack. He was inside his car when a Shahed drone struck, causing an open traumatic brain injury. He was taken to the intensive care unit but could not be saved.
Overnight and into the morning of 13 September, russian forces carried out 7 attacks on border areas and settlements in Sumy oblast, resulting in 14 explosions. Mykolaivka, Krasnopillia, Esman, Bilopillia, Seredyna-Buda, and Okhtyrka communities were hit.
On 12 September, russian forces conducted 57 attacks on border areas and settlements in Sumy oblast, with a total of 125 explosions recorded. Richky, Velyka Pysarivka, Khotin, Krasnopillia, Esman, Bilopillia, Druzhbivka, Nova Slobidka, Yampil, Seredyna-Buda, Shalyhyne, and Svessa communities were hit.
Chernihiv oblast
Throughout the day, russian forces attacked two border communities in Chernihiv oblast using mortars, FPV-drones, and combat drones. A total of 44 explosions were reported.
Novhorod-Siverskyi community:
4 explosions, probably drops of explosive devices from UAVs towards Bohdanove village;
10 explosions, probably drops of explosive devices from UAVs, near Dibrova village;
1 explosion, probably by an aircraft-type shock UAV on Kovpynka village;
1 explosion, probably by an aircraft-type shock UAV on Pushkari village;
2 explosions, probably by a 120mm mortar, on Hremiach;
3 explosions, probably by a 120mm mortar, on Mikhalchyna Sloboda.
Semenivka community:
6 explosions, probably by FPV-drones in the area of Tymonovychi village;
1 explosion, probably by an FPV-drone near Zarichchia;
9 explosions, probably by barrel artillery, towards Mykolaivka village;
7 explosions, probably by barrel artillery, in Semenivka.
No casualties or injuries among the local population were reported as a result of the shelling.
On 13 September, Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv RMA, together with Dmytro Bryzhynskyi, Head of Chernihiv City Military Administration, met with journalists from nine Latin American countries. They discussed how the region is coping with the full-scale war, how it withstood the fighting, the human losses, and the constant shelling by the terrorist state. They also talked about building shelters in schools to ensure children can receive quality in-person education. Chernihiv medical professionals and volunteers shared their stories of resistance during the battles in February-March 2022.
Chernihiv Regional Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center reported that on 13 September, Chernihiv paid tribute to four soldiers: Oleksandr Diadechko, Yevhen Oriap, Andriy Kizim, and Senior Sergeant Oleksii Kukharenko. The latter was identified through DNA testing.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
According to Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, in the evening on 12 September and at night, the occupiers shelled Nikopol region with artillery and kamikaze drones. They targeted the regional centre, Marhanets, Chervonohryhorivka and Myrove communities. In Nikopol, a 73-year-old woman was injured and hospitalised in moderate condition. Four private houses, two outbuildings and a power line were damaged.
The enemy shelled Nikopol region with artillery and using drones on 13 September. In total, they carried out more than two dozen attacks. Three people were injured – women aged 63 and 54, as well as a 60-year-old man. The district centre, Marhanets, Chervonohryhorivka, Pokrovske and Myrove communities were hit. Six apartment buildings, several private houses, a medical centre, a cafe, garages, a municipal and private enterprise, a petrol station, outbuildings, more than two dozen cars, a motorbike, infrastructure and power lines were damaged.

Serhiy Lysak, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, announced that three soldiers from Dnipro oblast returned to Ukraine during the latest prisoner exchange. These are a national guard from Nikopol and two marines from Kryvyi Rih.
Vinnytsia oblast
Serhii Morhunov, Mayor of Vinnytsia, announced that another 200 FPV drones and 16,000 dry showers have been delivered from Vinnytsia oblast to three National Guard brigades and border guards.
Serhii Morhunov, Mayor of Vinnytsia, said that two natives of Vinnytsia oblast, Yaroslav and Viktor Ivchuk, Hero of Ukraine, have been released from captivity.
Kirovohrad oblast
Andrii Raikovych, Head of Kirovohrad RMA, reported that the fifth evacuation train from Pokrovsk was met in Kirovohrad oblast. This time, 67 people arrived, including 7 children and 6 people with limited mobility. They were sheltered in the Dobrovelychkivka, Novoukraiinka, Oleksandriya and Bobrynetska communities.
Poltava oblast
A memorial plaque in honour of Ukrainian defender Andrii Kovalenko was unveiled on the facade of Poltava school No. 29. Poltava resident Andrii Kovalenko held the rank of junior lieutenant in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a commander of a territorial defence rifle platoon. He was awarded the Silver Cross decoration of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Andrii Kovalenko died on 7 December 2023 during the assault of the russian army in Donetsk oblast.
Cherkasy oblast
Ihor Taburets, Head of Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, announced that the 118th Brigade of the TRO received +305 FPV drones from Cherkasy oblast.
Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine
Zaporizhzhia oblast
Yesterday, russian forces carried out 326 strikes on nine settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. russian troops conducted nine airstrikes on Stepnohirsk, Kamianske, and Huliaipole. 170 UAVs of various modifications attacked Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Levadne, and Malynivka. Eight MLRS strikes hit Robotyne and Novoandriivka. Additionally, 139 artillery strikes were reported across Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, Verkhnia Tersa, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, and Levadne. There were six reports of damage to residential buildings and infrastructure.
On 12 September, a 67-year-old woman was injured due to an artillery strike on Mala Tokmachka. Rescuers stationed in the frontline settlement provided assistance to the injured.
According to the General Staff, russian forces attacked near Robotyne and conducted airstrikes on Kamianske, Stepnohirsk, and Shcherbaky towards Orikhiv.
It was noted in the report by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) on 12 September, that positional battles continued near Mala Tokmachka towards Orikhiv. Still, no changes to the front line were observed. Analysts also report ongoing positional battles along the Donetsk-Zaporizhzhia border.
Mykolaiv oblast
On the night of 13 September, air defense forces shot down three Shahed 131/136 drones in Mykolaiv oblast.
The night before, on 12 September at 23:05, the enemy attacked Mykolaiv with Shahed 131/136 drones. Debris from a downed drone fell on a food enterprise, causing a fire.
Yesterday, at 10:42, the enemy attacked the city of Ochakiv with FPV drones, injuring a 16-year-old girl and damaging a residential building. At 10:57, the enemy targeted Kutsurub community with FPV drones, damaging a car in the village of Dmytrivka. At 11:28 and 19:35, artillery fire hit the waters of Ochakiv community, but no casualties were reported.
13 Mykolaiv marines who had defended Mariupol and were captured during the fighting returned to Ukraine as part of a prisoner exchange. Among those freed, six are from the 36th Separate Marine Brigade, six from the 1st Separate Marine Battalion, and one marine from the 501st Separate Marine Battalion.
Odesa oblast
On the night of 13 September 13, russian forces attacked Odesa and its surrounding area with strike drones. Debris from the drones damaged at least 20 buildings, a gas station operator’s building, outbuildings, and vehicles. One person was injured. The Air Force shot down 16 drones over Odesa oblast.

As of 7am on 13 September, one enemy ship carrying Kalibr cruise missiles with a total salvo of up to four missiles was in the Black Sea. Five enemy ships were present in the Mediterranean Sea, four of which were carriers of Kalibr missiles with a total salvo of up to 32 missiles.
During the past day, nine vessels passed through the Kerch Strait into the Black Sea, and six more ships entered the Sea of Azov in russian interests.
Odesa National Art Museum opened an exhibition of the late soldier, photographer, and poet Maksym Kryvtsov, nicknamed “Dali.” Kryvtsov, who was killed in January this year, had planned for the exhibition, “I Will Take My Life Back. I Promise,” to open on January 22.
Kherson oblast
On the morning of 13 September, a russian drone strike targeted the village of Veletenske. A 75-year-old woman and a 60-year-old man, who were outside, suffered blast injuries, concussions, and shrapnel wounds to their limbs. Later, a 34-year-old woman sought medical attention for a blast injury and a head wound.
Around 10:00am, a resident in Kindiyka was injured during a russian drone attack. The 55-year-old man, who was in his yard, sustained a blast injury and shrapnel wound to his leg.
At 10:20 a.m., a resident of Antonivka was hit by a russian drone. The 50-year-old man suffered facial and leg shrapnel wounds. russian forces also destroyed the only Invincibility Centre and a humanitarian aid center there.
In Sadove, a 52-year-old man sustained blast injuries and shrapnel wounds to his arm and leg from an explosive dropped by a drone.
Yesterday, russian forces targeted civilian infrastructure using artillery, mortars, rocket systems, tanks, and drones, striking multiple areas, including Kherson, Antonivka, Sadove, Novodmytrivka, Kizomys, Stanislav, Tomyna Balka, Komyshany, Prydniprovske, Beryslav, Chervonyi Maiak, Odradokamianka, Zolota Balka, Monastyrske, Trudoliubivka, Arkhanhelske, Stepove, and Vesele. A total of 20 sites were damaged, including 16 private homes, a summer kitchen, an agricultural enterprise, a civilian car, and a police vehicle. According to Kherson Regional Military Administration, one person was killed, and 10 others were injured.
Later, another person was reported injured — a 60-year-old woman from Stanislav suffered blast injuries and a concussion.
On the Dniprovskyi front, russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions six times but were repelled, suffering losses and retreating. Ukrainian defenders eliminated 90 occupiers and destroyed 46 units of enemy weaponry and military equipment, as well as nine bunkers, two ammunition storage sites, and three observation points.
Newly arrived russian conscripts beat and robbed a woman in the temporarily occupied town of Hola Prystan who likely collaborated with the occupiers. According to the Yellow Ribbon resistance movement, the woman refused to follow orders from the russian soldiers to seize property from residents. The soldiers broke into her home, assaulted her, and took her belongings.
To mark the 940th anniversary of the founding of Oleshky, residents held the “We Are Together” rally in Odesa, Lviv, and Mykolaiv. On 14 September, Oleshky residents who relocated to Ukrainian-controlled territory plan to gather in Kyiv.
Residents of Velyka Oleksandrivka community received drinking water from the Caritas Beryslav UGCC charity organization, supported by Caritas Ukraine. Over 20,000 liters of drinking water were delivered to the villages of Nova Kaluha and Novopavlivka, where locals only have access to technical water following the russian terrorist attack on the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station.

Volyn oblast
As part of today’s exchange of prisoners of war, Marine Dmytro Selyutin from Lutsk returned from russian captivity after 29 months and is currently in Ukraine.
RMA representatives visited the military from Volyn oblast on the front line. FPV drones, drones, Mavik quadcopters, induction generators, fire extinguishers, ATVs, anti-drone nets, cargo equipment and energy were delivered to defenders.
Lutsk community sent a Delta-tec Loli X6 EW system and its accessories to the 2nd Mechanised Battalion of the Military Unit A 4667.
Zakarpattia oblast
This week, the Owl’s Nest Humanitarian Aid Center provided IDPs registered in Uzhgorod with 29 packages with necessary things for children under 1 year old and 50 bags with grocery sets. During the week, volunteers gave out clothes, shoes, bed linen and dishes (1,430 items) from the PDUM Partnerschaft Deutschland-Ukraine/Moldova e. V., Luftfahrt ohne Grenzen / Wings of Help eV and other benefactors.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
The RMA reported that Serhii Hrytsiv, military serviceman from Kalush region, returned home from russian captivity during the last exchange.
Lviv oblast
An honorary delegation from the Republic of Poland arrived in Lviv oblast. During their visit, the delegation honoured the memory of all those who were killed as a result of the russian attack on civilian objects in Lviv on 4 September. In addition, during the meeting, they confirmed the readiness of Poland to participate in reconstruction of historical buildings that were damaged by shelling.
In Italy, Maksym Kozytskyi, Head of Lviv RMA, met with Saint Egidius, Vice-President of the Community, and Adriano Roccucci, coordinator of its humanitarian mission in Ukraine. During the war, this organisation already provided assistance to over 380,000 Ukrainians.
As of today, 12 people who suffered from the russian attack last week remain in hospital treatment in the hospitals of the 1st Medical Association of Lviv. Another 40 people are receiving outpatient treatment.
Rivne oblast
A free mobile application for searching for missing Ukrainians Reunite Ukraine was presented in Rivne oblast. The key function of the application is to search for missing military personnel, children and reunification of family members who were internally displaced, left Ukraine, remained in the temporarily occupied territory or were illegally deported to the russian federation or belarus.
A shelter and a helipad will be built in the new building of Rivne Hospital for Veterans. The construction of the medical and rehabilitation building began last fall. Today, the readiness of the facility is over 40%. The total cost of the project is UAH 1.3bn. Construction is planned to be completed next year.
The 1st open fishing tournament among veterans was held in Sarny. 9 amateur fishermen, men who returned from the front, competed on one of the reservoirs of Krychyl region.
Ternopil oblast
A meeting of the Council on IDPs at Ternopil RMA was held. As of the beginning of September 2024, according to the Unified Information Database of IDPs, over 67,000 are registered in communities of the oblast. Since the beginning of the year, 4,332 people have arrived in the oblast, of which 820 people arrived in August. During the period of martial law, the local social welfare departments of the population ensured the payment of housing assistance to IDPs in the amount of UAH 4.5bn at the expense of the state budget.
Ternopil community sent a Mitsubishi L200 to the 83rd Battalion of the 105th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade thanks to the budget funds.
A Veterans office was created at Ternopil RMA. Here, veterans will be helped to resolve issues related to issuing certificates, receiving benefits, employment, social adaptation, social protection, medical and psychological support, etc.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
At night, during an air alarm signal, 2 enemy UAVs of the Shahed type were shot down on the territory of the oblast. There were no injuries, deaths or property damage.
Local and voluntary fire protection units of Khmelnytskyi oblast received 63 sets of material and technical support from the Red Cross Society of Ukraine.
Chernivtsi oblast
Chernivtsi City Council held a meeting with Iryna Loredana Stanculescu, Consul General of Romania in Chernivtsi. Inter-municipal partnerships and cross-border cooperation were discussed.
International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)
Martin Oberg, Ambassador of Sweden, announced that the country will allocate over €40m for the purchase of energy equipment.
The Ministry of Defense of Finland reported that the country will allocate a new package of military aid to Ukraine in the amount of €118m. It is not yet known what will be included in it.
Ruben Brekelmans, Minister of Defense of the Netherlands announced that the country provided Ukraine with a Patriot radar and will send 3 Patriot.
The General Staff of Ukraine reported that Britain will continue to train servicemen of the Armed Forces in 2025. London has already trained over 45,000 Ukrainian recruits since the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion.
Andrii Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, met with Wolfgang Ischinger, President of the Board of the Foundation of the Munich Security Conference. They discussed implementation of the Peace Formula and preparation for the 2nd Peace Summit.
