On 11 December, there were 108 combat clashes. Ukrainian defenders are stopping the enemy, holding the lines and destroying the russians’ plans.
russian artillery shelling affected the areas of settlements, in particular Mykolaivka, Hirsk, Kovpynka, Yasna Poliana, Zaliznyi Mist in Chernihiv oblast; Shalyhyne, Ryzhivka, Sydorivka, Bila Bereza, Bobylivka, Zarutske, Budky in Sumy oblast. Airstrikes have hit the settlements of Spirne, Chervona Hirka and Reutyntsi in Sumy oblast.
Towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk, there were five combat clashes. The enemy carried out 69 attacks, including four from multiple launch rocket systems.
Towards Southern Sloboda, there were five enemy attacks in the vicinity of the settlement of Prylipka and towards Izbitske and Okhrimivka. Two enemy attacks are still ongoing.
Towards Kupiansk, there were no clashes.
Towards Lyman, there were nine clashes. The enemy attacked in the vicinity of the settlements of Novoiehorivka, Hrekivka, Derylove, Kolodiazhi and Zarichne, fighting is taking place in seven locations.
Towards Slaviansk, the enemy carried out three attacks today in the vicinity of Dronivka and Pereizne.
Towards Kramatorsk, there were no clashes.
Towards Kostiantynivka, the defense forces stopped 16 enemy attacks in the vicinity of the settlements of Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Ivanopillia, Kostiantynivka, Yablunivka, Rusyn Yar and towards Sofiivka.
Towards Pokrovsk, russian troops tried to advance 33 times on the positions of Ukrainian troops in the vicinity of the settlements of Shakhove, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske and towards Novopavlivka. Ukrainian defenders repelled 31 attacks, and fighting is ongoing.
Towards Oleksandrivka, Ukrainian defenders repelled 18 enemy attacks near the settlements of Zelenyi Hai, Sosnivka, Verbove, Pryvillia, Vyshneve, Rybne and Pryvilne. Another battle is ongoing.
Towards Huliaipole, Ukrainian soldiers repelled five assault actions by enemy units in the vicinity of Huliaipole and Dobropillia, two more clashes are currently ongoing.
Towards Orikhiv, the Defense Forces repelled 16 enemy attacks in the vicinity of the settlements of Mala Tokmachka, Stepove, Stepnohirsk and towards Primorske and Novoandriivka.
Towards Kherson, there were no enemy offensive actions.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine
Kharkiv oblast
Over the past 24 hours, 234 combat clashes were recorded.
In the South-Slobozhansk direction, our troops stopped 11 enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Starytsia, Vovchanski Khutory, Vovchansk, Dvorichanske and towards Synelnykovye, Obukhivka, Kutkivka.
In the Kupyansk direction, nine attacks by invaders took place yesterday. Our defenders repelled the enemy’s assault actions towards Petropavlivka and Kurylivka.
Russian troops killed a civilian man with a drone near Novoplatonivka in the Kupyansk region, and after that they additionally deployed a “Zhdun” FPV drone to hit anyone who approaches the body of the deceased, the 77th separate airmobile Naddnipryansk brigade reported. The body of the killed man was discovered by the military during a planned monitoring of the area.
At about 10:35, four Russian aerial bombя hit the territory of the Zolochiv community, said Viktor Kovalenko, head of the SVA. According to him, three KABs hit a forest near Vidrozhdeniivske, and the fourth aerial bomb hit the outskirts of the village of Shyroky Yar. No people were injured.
A 69-year-old man died when a Russian FPV drone hit a car near Verkhniy Saltiv, Vovchansky community, the press service of the Kharkiv region police reported. It is said that the VAZ, in which the man was, was moving along the Zamulivka-Verkhniy Saltiv highway when it was hit by a Russian UAV.
In Novoplatonivka, Izyum district, a Russian drone hit a motoblock on the morning of December 11, a 73-year-old man was injured, the press service of the Kharkiv region police reported.
In the morning, the Russian Federation carried out a drone strike on the Pidserednye village of the Velykoburlutsk community this morning. The press service specified that the area of the fire was about 1,500 sq. m, and the workshops are located on the territory of a local agricultural enterprise

Over the past day, four settlements in Kharkiv region came under enemy strikes.
A 69-year-old man was killed in the village of Zamulivka, Vovchansk community.
Medical assistance was provided to:
- a 59-year-old man who was injured on 6 December as a result of shelling in the city of Kupiansk;
- a 65-year-old woman who was injured on 9 December due to shelling in the village of Smorodkivka, Kupiansk community.
The enemy actively used various types of weapons against Kharkiv region:
▪️ 1 guided aerial bomb (KAB);
▪️ 2 “Geran-2” type UAVs;
▪️ 2 FPV drones.
Civilian infrastructure was damaged and destroyed:
▪️ in Bohodukhiv district — a civilian enterprise (village of Kovyahy);
▪️ in Izium district — a private house (urban-type settlement Borova);
▪️ in Chuhuiv district — a car (village of Zamulivka).
A 68-year-old man from Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi may have been killed during a Russian shelling on 3 November, according to the head of the Kupiansk District Administration, Andrii Kanashevych. He reported that information about the shelling and the death of the man was received by the local administration on 10 December and is currently being clarified.
The transit evacuation point in Lozova received 83 people over the past day.
Thirty people remain there.
Since the beginning of its operation, a total of 14,465 people have been registered at the Point.
Donetsk oblast
In the Sloviansk sector, over the past day, the Defense Forces repelled 13 attacks near Yampil and in the direction of Sviato-Pokrovske.
In the Kramatorsk sector, two combat engagements took place in the direction of Minkivka.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, the Russian army carried out 23 assault attempts, and in the Pokrovsk sector — 49, according to the General Staff’s morning report of 11 December.
Despite fog, rain, and snow, Ukrainian forces are holding back Russian assaults in Siversk, Donetsk region. Fighting continues in all parts of the city, but Russia does not have full control. This was reported by Dmytro Zaporozhets, spokesperson for the 11th Army Corps.
Assault units raised the blue-and-yellow flag in the center of Pokrovsk. This was reported by servicemen of the “Skelea” Regiment.
At around 03:00, Russian forces used UAVs to strike Znamenka in the Oleksandrivka community. A private house was damaged.
Throughout 10 December, police recorded 1,832 attacks on the frontline and residential areas.
Seven settlements came under fire: the cities of Dobropillia, Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka, Lyman, Sloviansk; the settlement of Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka; and the village of Rohanske.
Seven civilian objects were damaged, including two residential buildings.
In Kostiantynivka, Russian forces struck with a KAB-250 bomb and FPV drones, and used artillery — injuring three civilians, destroying a five-storey residential building, and damaging a vehicle.
In Lyman, an enemy FPV drone destroyed a civilian car with a direct hit — one person was injured.
In Rohanske, Andriivka community, a civilian was injured and a vehicle was damaged as a result of an FPV drone strike.
FPV drone attacks also caused damage to a private house in Sloviansk and a civilian vehicle in Druzhkivka.
Approximately 1,100 people with disabilities remain in Donetsk region, most of whom refuse to evacuate. Usually, they agree to leave only after their homes have been destroyed and when evacuations become dangerous, forcing volunteers, police officers, and soldiers to risk their lives to save them. This was reported by Dmytro Pozharskyi, Deputy Head of the Department of Social Protection of the Regional State Administration.
Luhansk oblast
Of the 40 attempts to advance on our two sectors, the enemy carried out 27 on the Lyman section of the frontline. They attacked near Hrekivka and Novoiheorivka, used tube artillery 12 times, and in eight assaults directed unmanned aerial vehicles toward Ukrainian defenders.
In 2026, on the occupied territory of Luhansk region, military training for reservists will begin under Kremlin orders. This is the next step toward full-scale mobilization — following this year’s announced training for reservists and the continuous conscription into the Russian army. Those currently in the reserve — essentially nearly the entire male population of relevant age — will be summoned. Fines are planned for missing the deadlines.
In Russia’s Rostov region, roadside inspections have been significantly intensified. Special attention is given to vehicles with license plates from the occupied territories. Alongside the traffic police, officers of the Russian Investigative Committee are checking documents, including compliance with military registration requirements. Most detainees are men registered in the occupied territories.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
The Ukrainian State Film Agency reported that on 9 December, Kyiv bid farewell to soldier, athlete and actor Ivan Kononenko, who was killed in action in the Kursk area. Ivan’s projects in the film industry include: ‘Hellish Banner, or Cossack Christmas,’ ‘Servant of the People,’ ‘Serf,’ ‘First Swallows,’ ‘Crazy Wedding,’ and ‘Kyiv Day and Night.’ Before the full-scale war, Ivan Kononenko, as an athlete, was a member of Vasyl Virastyuk’s team (weightlifting and strongman), and was a prize-winner and winner of dozens of competitions, including Ukraine Open 2006 Olimp Strongman.
Pyrotechnicians from the Bila Tserkva Special Purpose Emergency Rescue Unit promptly arrived at the site in the Bohuslav community where fragments of a Geran-2 unmanned aerial vehicle were found. Specialists removed the combat part of the UAV for further disposal.
The tenth ‘anniversary’ basic course has been completed at the Kyiv Regional Centre for Training the Population for National Resistance. Over the course of a month, about 100 residents of Kyiv oblast gained knowledge and skills under the guidance of veteran instructors. After the final tests, the cadets received certificates and chevrons from the centre.
The State Emergency Service reported that thanks to the support of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), rescuers in Kyiv oblast received a modern emergency rescue vehicle with unmanned systems. This high-tech complex is designed to operate in high-risk conditions and provides a new level of mobility, coordination and safety in emergency response.
Mayor Anatoliy Fedoruk announced that the Bucha community had received the first batch of modular structures from Berlin to strengthen the city’s infrastructure. The first 20 modules have now arrived. A total of 336 containers are expected to arrive. Transport costs are co-financed by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid (DG ECHO)..
Zhytomyr oblast
The regional training centre reported that on 9 December, classes began in Berdychiv to prepare the population for national resistance. For two weeks, 25 educators, medical workers and municipal employees will receive knowledge and skills in military disciplines, learn rules of conduct and methods of survival in emergency situations.
Polissia National University has been included in the list of authorized higher education institutions that in 2026 will be able to recognize the results of education obtained in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine. According to the educational institution, a total of 43 higher education institutions from all over Ukraine have been included in the list by order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
On 10 December, students and teachers of Ivan Franko Zhytomyr State University joined a donation campaign for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. A mobile team from the regional blood centre worked in the student dormitory.
Sumy oblast
The State Border Guard Service reported that towards Southern-Slobozhanskyi, border guards destroyed four russian vehicles, two shelters, two communication antennas, a generator, and four enemy positions.
The Regional Military Administration informed on 11 December, in Velyka Pysarivka community, the russians dropped a guided aerial bomb on a shop. The attack was carried out at a moment when people were inside. As a result, a shop assistant and a local resident were killed. Their bodies were recovered from under the rubble. Two people were injured; one woman with wounds was taken to hospital, where doctors are providing the necessary care.

According to the State Emergency Service, on the morning of 11 December, russian forces attacked Sumy. A fire broke out in a two-storey non-residential building. No people were injured.
The Regional Military Administration reported that a 38-year-old man died in hospital after being wounded on 17 October, when an enemy UAV hit a truck in Trostianets community.
During the past 24 hours, from the morning of 10 December to the morning of 11 December, russian troops carried out nearly 30 attacks on 20 settlements across 12 territorial communities in the oblast. The highest number of shellings occurred in Sumy and Shostka regions. The enemy used artillery, mortars, FPV drones, UAVs, and guided aerial bombs. Over the day, air raid alerts lasted a total of 6 hours and 17 minutes.
Consequences of the russian attacks as of the morning of 11 December:
- in Bilopillia community, a car was damaged;
- in Seredyna-Buda community, a non-residential building was damaged;
- in Sumy community, a non-residential building was damaged.
Over the past day, local authorities together with units of the State Emergency Service, National Police, and NGOs evacuated 17 people from border communities.
Chernihiv oblast
Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, reported that on the morning of 11 December, a russian attack drone struck a forestry enterprise in Nosivka. A 65-year-old security guard was injured in the attack, and the administrative building was partially destroyed. A fire broke out at the impact site, which was extinguished by SES rescuers. The injured man was taken to a local hospital and is in moderate condition.
Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment informed that throughout 10 December, russian forces attacked four border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, Horodnia, and Snovsk. The enemy carried out mortar attacks (4 explosions) and MLRS shelling (40 explosions), and launched UAV strikes (1 explosion) and FPV-drone attacks (9 explosions). Six settlements were under enemy fire.
According to the Regional Department of Culture and Tourism, in Chernihiv oblast, as part of rehabilitation activities for defenders, cultural institutions of the oblast held 697 excursions and organized 78 meetings, exhibitions and presentations for servicemen and their families during 2025.
Centre for Civil Liberties announced that Chernihiv veteran and former russian prisoner of war Oleksii Anulia became a laureate of Ihor Kozlovskyi Award for upholding human dignity, documenting the experience of russian captivity, and actively assisting in the release of Ukrainian prisoners. Oleksii spent 10 months in captivity and was released during a prisoner exchange on 31 December 2022. After his return, he has been supporting the families of prisoners, helping to advocate for their release and testifying about russian war crimes. In 2025, he presented his book Jingle Bellz, in which he reflects on his personal experience of russian captivity.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk RMA, reported that the enemy continued attacking the regional centre, Myrove, Marhanetsk, Chervonohryhorivka and Pokrovske communities by drones and artillery. 4 private houses, 3 outbuildings, a minibus and 2 gas pipelines were damaged. The russian forces struck Zelenodolsk community by a drone.
In Synelnykove region, russian forces attacked Dubovyky community by UAVs. Fires broke out on the territory of a farming enterprise. 3 vehicles were destroyed and 8 damaged.
The occupiers shelled the regional centre, Myrove, Marhanetsk and Pokrovske communities by drones and artillery. A 70-year-old woman was injured. 8 private houses, 3 high-rise buildings, a store, infrastructure facilities, 2 utility structures, 2 garages, vehicles, a gas pipeline and a power line were damaged. The enemy carried out a drone strike on Hrushivka community, damaging a power line.
Poltava oblast
Poltava Regional Military Administration reported that during the night, russian forces again attacked energy infrastructure facilities in Kremenchuk region. Air defence was active and a significant number of targets were shot down. Fires broke out at the sites due to falling debris and direct hits.
Cherkasy oblast
Ihor Taburets, Head of the Regional Military Administration, said that air defenders shot down 7 russian UAVs over Cherkasy oblast.
Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine
Zaporizhzhia oblast
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Defence Forces in Huliaipole region repelled 22 russian attacks near Solodke, Zelene and Huliaipole. In Orikhiv region, russian troops carried out 9 assaults near Shcherbaky, Stepove, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka and Stepnohirsk.
Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia RMA, stated that on 10 December, a 63-year-old man and a 71-year-old woman were injured as a result of russian attacks on Polohy region.
The russian military carried out 470 strikes on 17 towns and villages in Zaporizhzhia oblast. These included 291 drone attacks targeting Novomykolaivka, Chervonodniprovka, Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Stepove, Kamianske, Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Varvarivka, Zelene, Solodke and Zatyshshia.
Mykolaiv oblast
Based on the information provided by Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, on 10 December, russian forces carried out 8 FPV drone attacks on Ochakiv community. There were no casualties reported.
Odesa oblast
Oleh Kiper, Head of Odesa RMA, informed that during the night of 11 December, russian troops attacked Odesa oblast by strike UAVs, damaging an energy facility. He noted that most aerial targets were shot down by air defence. 2 private houses located nearby were damaged and windows and doors of an administrative building shattered. Fires that broke out were extinguished by emergency services.
The Air Force reported very active UAV movement in the airspace over Odesa oblast during the night.
Kherson oblast
Referring to the RMA, during the day, a russian drone struck an Invincibility Centre in Stanislav community of Kherson oblast. The building sustained damage to its windows, doors and facade. There were no injuries reported.
Around midday, russian forces shelled Dniprovskyi district of Kherson. A 77-year-old woman and 2 men aged 60 and 63 were injured and taken to hospital with blast injuries and concussions.
The CMA reported that around 9am, russian troops shelled Korabelnyi district of Kherson. A 49-year-old man was injured and hospitalised with a concussion, blast trauma and shrapnel wounds to the arm.
A 41-year-old Kherson resident, who was injured the previous morning during russian shelling of Korabelnyi district, was also taken to hospital. She sustained a concussion, blast trauma and a closed head injury.
According to the State Emergency Service of the oblast, a house in Kherson caught fire after russian shelling the previous day. Firefighters extinguished the blaze. There were no casualties reported.

Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson RMA, reported that 1 person was killed and 8 injured over the past day as a result of russian shelling. 30 settlements were attacked. A multi-storey building, 5 private houses, a supermarket, a utility structure, gas pipelines and vehicles were damaged.
Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine
Volyn oblast
Lutsk City Council reported that Heorhii Haidai, resident of the village of Horodok, Lutsk urban territorial community, Rifleman of the Rifle Department of the Rifle Platoon of the Rifle Company, was killed on 9 January, 2024 while performing a combat mission in the area of the settlement of Novodarivka, Zaporizhia oblast.
Zakarpattia oblast
The regional forum Voice of Youth brought together over 130 participants from across the region in Uzhhorod. The focus was on the development of youth centers, opportunities for self-realization and employment, support for youth ideas, and the challenges they face.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
The 109th Separate Mountain Assault Battalion of the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade received 3 inverter gasoline generators; 15 modern AUTEL EVO MAX 4T quadcopters; 32 tires worth UAH 2.8m. The funds were allocated within the framework of regional programs to support military formations in the oblast.
Lviv oblast
The final annual meeting of EU ministers for European affairs took place in Lviv. 30 high-ranking officials from 27 states gathered here, in our city. Among them are European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos, Danish Minister Marie Bjerre, representatives of the Czech Republic, Germany, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania and other countries. They discussed further steps towards Ukraine’s accession to the EU.
During a charity dinner in Lviv, over UAH 15m was raised in support of defense forces. The funds will be used to support the needs of the 125th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade and Units of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Rivne oblast
Rescuers in Rivne oblast have received a pyrotechnic machine Kozak PM-L for sappers, special equipment for the unit and equipment for community rescuers: heat-reflective suits, body cameras, flashlights, fire extinguishers, etc.
Ternopil oblast
Over the 11 months of 2025, over UAH 256m was allocated from Ternopil community budget to implement the defense capability program. Another UAH 29,34m was directed directly to the accounts of military units.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
The RMA signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the National Congress of Ukrainian Associations in Italy. This is an important step to strengthen ties with the Ukrainian community in Italy and develop joint international projects.
Chernivtsi oblast
Mistoservice has purchased 2 new multifunctional machines of Danish production. This equipment will partially compensate for the shortage of employees, automate part of the work of the enterprise and will operate year-round. The equipment was purchased thanks to a partnership with the Danish Export and Investment Fund EIFO. The fund covered 40% of the cost with a grant, the rest is financed by the enterprise through a loan under the state program.
International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Ukrainian President, and his team held a productive conversation with the American side Scott Bessant, Jared Kushner and Larry Fink. In fact, this was the 1st meeting of the group that will work on a document on the reconstruction and economic recovery of Ukraine.
The EU has agreed a plan to phase out russian gas. The ban on russian gas supplies still needs formal approval at a meeting of EU ministers and the European Parliament before it can become law.
