Since the beginning of the day, there have been 65 combat engagements along the front. Our defenders are stopping the enemy, holding their positions, and disrupting Russia’s plans.
Russian artillery shelling affected areas of several settlements, including Uhroidy, Boyaro-Lezhachi, Pokrovka, Maryine, Popivka, Vysoke, and Myropilske in Sumy region. Kaliivka in Sumy region came under an airstrike.
In the Northern-Slobozhanske and Kursk sectors today, the enemy carried out seven airstrikes, dropping 11 guided aerial bombs, and conducted 123 shelling attacks, including five from multiple launch rocket systems. Meanwhile, our units conducted active operations in several areas of Sumy region, advancing up to 400 meters in some sectors and inflicting losses on enemy personnel.
In the Southern-Slobozhanske sector, three combat clashes took place near Vovchansk and Kolodyazne.
In the Kupiansk sector, since the start of the day, the enemy has attempted once to advance toward our defenders’ positions near Stepova Novoselivka.
In the Lyman sector today, there have been five combat engagements, one of which is still ongoing. The enemy attacked near Ridkodub, Karpivka, Kolodyazi, and toward Yampil.
In the Siversk sector, the enemy attempted an attack near Hryhorivka, which Ukrainian forces successfully repelled.
In the Kramatorsk sector, our defenders repelled three enemy assaults. The enemy tried to advance near Stupochky, Stepanivka, and Rusyn Yar; one engagement is still underway.
The Defense Forces repelled two enemy attacks in the Toretsk sector. The invaders attempted to advance near Toretsk and Shcherbynivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian forces tried 23 times to advance toward our positions near Poltavka, Popiv Yar, Mayak, Dorozhne, Nove Shakhove, Novoeconomichne, Sukhetske, Rodynske, Promin, Lysivka, Zvirove, Horikhove, and Dachne. Our defenders have already repelled 18 of these attacks, with fighting continuing.
In the Novopavlivka sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled nine enemy assaults near Vilne Pole, Maliivka, Voskresenka, and toward Ivanivka and Novoivanivka. Three more enemy attacks are still in progress.
In the Huliaipole sector, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions.
In the Orikhiv sector, the aggressor’s aviation struck Novoandriivka, Stepnohirsk, and Hryhorivka. The invaders also attempted twice to advance near Kamianske and toward Novodanylivka.
In the Prydniprovsk sector, the aggressor launched six unsuccessful attacks on our defenders’ positions.
No significant changes were recorded in the operational situation in other sectors.
Ukrainian forces are wearing down the enemy along the entire line of contact and in its rear areas.
On August 9–10, 2025, in Kharkiv, the final events of the Ukrainian Women’s Guard project “Empowered Woman — Pillar of Ukraine” took place. Over the course of a year, the project fostered women’s leadership, entrepreneurship, and economic resilience in the Kharkiv region during wartime. Yesterday 137 combat clashes were recorded.
Towards South Slobozhanske, our troops repelled four enemy attacks in Vovchansk area.
Towards Kupiansk, there were eight attacks by the occupiers over the past day. The defence forces repelled enemy assaults near Radkivka, Kindrashivka, Petropavlivka, Stepova Novoselivka and Nova Kruhliakivka.
Pilots of the FATUM unit of the 3rd Assault Brigade’s anti-tank battalion used drones to damage the logistics of the russian army and eliminate heavy equipment and an ambush group, according to the Third Army Corps. In addition, the fighters targeted russian military aircraft, passenger cars, and buggies.
Attacks
Viacheslav Zadorenko, Head of the Military Administration, said that at 2am, russians struck Dubivtsi in Derhachi community with an FPV drone. The strike damaged the roof of a house and a civilian vehicle.
Over the past day, three settlements in Kharkiv oblast were hit by enemy strikes.
As a result of the shelling, one person was killed and five people were injured, including a child.
An 18-year-old man was injured in Kupiansk; a man was killed and a 49-year-old and 57-year-old woman were injured in Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi, Kupiansk community; a 67-year-old woman was injured in Kozacha Lopan, Derhachi community; a 15-year-old boy was injured in Pishchane.
A 64-year-old man was injured as a result of an explosion of an unknown object in the city of Kupiansk.
The enemy used various types of weapons in Kharkiv oblast:

▪️1 Molniya UAV.
A private house was damaged in Tsupivka village.
Currently, 38 underground schools are being built in Kharkiv oblast, and the modernisation of existing facilities is continuing, taking into account safety requirements.
Yevhen Ivanov, Deputy Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported that this winter, solid fuel will continue to be distributed to privileged categories of the population in Kharkiv oblast. In communities close to the border with russia and the front line, assistance will be provided mainly in cash.
Donetsk oblast
Frontline
According to a report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the russian army continues to increase pressure towards Novopavlivka. Over the past day, the occupiers attacked the positions of the Defence Forces 33 times near Zelenyi Hai, Vilne Pole, Temyrivka, Filiia, Maliivka, Myrne, Oleksandrohrad, Voskresenka, Shevchenko and Olhivske, with 20 assaults in the area the day before.
Most of the fighting during the day was recorded towards Pokrovsk, with more than 10 attacks towards Lyman.
Attacks
Around midnight, russian troops struck Sviatohirsk with four Geran-2 UAVs, damaging 12 residential buildings.
On 10 August, the police recorded 2,944 enemy strikes on the front line and residential areas.
Ten settlements were under fire: Bilozerske, Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka, Myrnohrad cities, Malotaranivka, Chernihivka settlements, Bilokuzmynivka, Hannivka, Ivanopillia, and Starovarvarivka villages. Fifty civilian objects were destroyed, including 34 residential buildings.

The russians shelled Druzhkivka with Smerch multiple launch rocket systems, killing one civilian and injuring two others. Nine private homes and two cars were damaged.
One person was killed in Chernihivka, Dobropillia community, which the enemy attacked with an FPV drone.
The occupiers sent eight Geran-2 UAVs to Bilozerske, injuring three civilians and damaging nine apartment buildings, two private houses, three garages and three vehicles.
Two people were injured in Myrnohrad as a result of mortar shelling.
Two people were wounded in Kostiantynivka, which russia attacked with Smerch multiple launch rocket systems, artillery, and drones. Seven apartment buildings, one private house, and two shopping pavilions were destroyed.
In Ivanopillia, an enemy FPV drone injured two civilians and damaged a private home.
Russian strike UAVs damaged private houses: four in Bilokuzminivka and two in Malotaranivka.
Luhansk oblast
On our section of the front line, 94 unmanned aerial vehicles and FPV drones carried out combat missions for the russians. The enemy also carried out 19 shelling attacks with barrel artillery. They used multiple launch rocket systems twice more. Ukrainian defenders repelled 19 assaults by the occupiers towards Lyman, in particular near Hrekivka.
In Lysychansk, which was captured more than three years ago, in the absence of permanent registration within the city, the russians allow entry only by personal invitation or temporary registration. In order to temporarily register at a specific address, both the owner of the premises and the guest must personally apply to the relevant state authorities of the russian Federation with a number of documents.
A personal invitation for a one-time trip is issued by someone from Lysychansk at the local occupation administration, providing the personal data of the invitee and information about their vehicle. However, due to the lack of mobile communication in Lysychansk, communication between locals and those wishing to visit is disrupted. In all other cases, the settlement is closed to entry.
In the so-called “lpr”, one of the 14 local Cossack societies registered as legal entities received a certificate of entry into the state register of Cossack societies of russia. According to russian law, these Cossacks assume all obligations related to public service. That is, they will carry out the orders of the russian security forces. They will also be officially allowed to carry cold edged weapons. The corresponding state policy strategy regarding the russian Cossacks was adopted by the kremlin until 2030.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
A Russian soldier accused of killing two civilians in Hostomel will stand trial, the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office has reported. The investigation established that in March 2022, during the occupation of the town of Hostomel, the Russian serviceman staged a mock execution of one local resident and later deliberately killed two civilians. It was noted that the victims were unarmed, not members of any military formations, and were wearing civilian clothing.
During the recent massive Russian shelling of Kyiv over the past two months, about 28,000 people simultaneously took shelter in the capital’s metro stations, according to the Kyiv Metro.

Twenty-three-year-old Veronika remains in hospital after falling from the ninth floor and surviving during Russia’s massive attack on Kyiv on the night of July 31. Veronika Osintseva lived with her parents in the building entrance destroyed by a Russian missile. She fell from the ninth floor and miraculously survived. She remembers little of that night. In hospital, she was diagnosed with a leg fracture and underwent surgery.
Seismic sensors will be installed in Saint Sophia Cathedral to monitor the impact of vibrations from explosions on the building during Russian shelling, the National Reserve “Saint Sophia of Kyiv” has reported. The equipment will help specialists gather information about external impacts on the 11th-century building, assess potential threats, and develop risk scenarios.
In the Brovary district, the warhead of a Russian drone that failed to detonate was found. Police explosives experts removed and destroyed the dangerous item, the National Police reported.
Partnership, support, and a shared commitment to development were discussed during a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to Ukraine, Michael Brodsky, according to Kyiv Regional Military Administration head Mykola Kalashnyk. The talks also addressed the participation of Ukrainian specialists in training programs in Israel, covering physical and psychological rehabilitation, which will allow the adoption of advanced practices and improvement of assistance to Ukrainian military personnel and civilians, particularly in the treatment of PTSD.
Zhytomyr oblast
In Zhytomyr region, practical training sessions on first aid were held for police officers. Law enforcement personnel from various units of the regional police took part in the training. Together with certified instructors from the Ukrainian Red Cross Society, participants practiced actions for dealing with severe bleeding, performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation, stabilizing a casualty before medics arrive, providing assistance in cases of unconsciousness, and more.
In the Chopovychi community of Zhytomyr region, on August 11, 2025, the winners of the 2025 public budget were announced. One of the winning initiatives is the establishment of a gym in the “Veteran’s Space” in the village of Prystantsiine.
Sumy oblast
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that on 9 August, russian forces launched two attacks on Northern Slobozhanskyi and Kursk fronts. As of 8am, the enemy had carried out ten airstrikes, dropped 20 guided aerial bombs, and conducted 293 artillery attacks, including ten by multiple launch rocket systems.
The Regional Military Administration informed that on the night of 11 August, russian forces attacked Shostka community in Sumy oblast. In Ivot starosta district, an infrastructure facility and two residential buildings were damaged. In Sobychiv starosta district, agricultural warehouses and farming equipment were destroyed as a result of a drone strike. A fire broke out in a non-residential building, which was later extinguished. No casualties have been reported so far.
Oleh Klymenko, Head of Sumy Regional Military Administration, said that on 10 August, russian forces actively deployed reconnaissance and strike drones in Sumy region. A russian strike UAV ignited a fire on the territory of an agricultural enterprise, destroying approximately one hectare of wheat. Another drone strike damaged a civilian vehicle. No casualties were reported.
According to the Regional Military Administration, between the morning of 10 August and the morning of 11 August, russian forces carried out 135 attacks targeting 46 settlements across 15 territorial communities in Sumy oblast. The highest number of strikes occurred in Sumy and Shostka regions. The enemy actively used guided aerial bombs (nearly 40 strikes), helicopter-launched unguided rockets (40 explosions), FPV-drones, and other UAVs.
Civilian infrastructure was damaged in multiple communities:
– In Sumy community: an administrative building, a private house, and a vehicle were hit.
– In Stepanivka community: approximately one hectare of wheat was destroyed.
– In Mykolaivka rural community: a two-storey building was damaged.
– In Seredyna-Buda community: private homes were damaged.
– In Shostka community: a non-residential building was damaged.
The Regional Military Administration reported that during the night of 10 August, russian forces shelled Bilopillia and Znob-Novhorodske communities. In Bilopillia community, a non-residential building and a civilian infrastructure facility were damaged. In Znob-Novhorodske community, a private residential house was hit.
According to the Regional Military Administration, over the past month, more than 200 russian strike UAVs. Nearly half of these drones were destroyed thanks to the coordinated efforts of territorial defense forces and volunteer formations.
During the past week, 97 residents of Sumy oblast — including 13 children — left high-risk areas due to ongoing russian shelling. Most evacuees came from Bilopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Hlukhiv, Seredyna-Buda, and Svesa communities, which remain under constant attack. Transit centers in Sumy, Shostka, and Romny are operational, offering temporary shelter, humanitarian aid, medical and psychological support. Evacuees can also apply for monthly state payments and one-time financial assistance from international organizations.
Chernihiv oblast
The Regional Military Administration reported that on 10 August, a russian drone strike caused a fire covering half a hectare in Nizhyn region. Firefighters promptly extinguished the blaze.
‘North’ Operational Command informed that between 8am on 10 August and 8am on 11 August, russian forces launched 38 attacks on Chernihiv oblast, resulting in 59 explosions. In Semenivka, a Shahed drone struck a local enterprise. Another UAV exploded in Koriukivka community, damaging a machinery hangar at a local facility.
According to Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment, on 10 August, russian forces attacked three border communities in Chernihiv oblast — Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, and Snovsk. The enemy used mortars, artillery, FPV-drones, and dropped explosive devices from UAVs. Ten settlements came under fire.
Viacheslav Chaus, regional governor, said that last week, the enemy carried out 199 attacks on Chernihiv oblast, resulting in 378 explosions, according to. A total of 46 settlements came under fire. From 4 to 10 August, 24 people left the shelled border area of the oblast, including three children.

On 11 August, near the Catherine Cathedral in Chernihiv, a farewell ceremony was held for Junior Sergeant Maryna Hrytsenko of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade. She was 39 years old. Maryna was a former employee of the Halahan Chernihiv Art Museum. In February 2023, she voluntarily joined the Ukrainian Armed Forces. ‘Meri’ was killed on 7 August while carrying out a combat mission at the front.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
From evening until morning, the occupiers continued to terrorise Nikopol region. They targeted the regional centre, Myrove, Pokrov, Chervonohryhorivka and Marhanets communities by drones and artillery. In Nikopol, a 52-year-old man was injured in the evening due to shelling; he received the necessary medical assistance. 2 houses were damaged. The consequences of the morning strikes are still being clarified. According to additional information, yesterday’s attacks on the regional centre and Chervonohryhorivka community caused a fire. 9 private houses, 4 outbuildings and a car were damaged. The enemy attacked Synelnykove region by a KAB and UAVs, targeting Mezhova and Velykomykhailivka communities. A 31-year-old man was injured. A lyceum was damaged and shops were destroyed.
The enemy again attacked 3 regions of the oblast: Nikopol, Kryvyi Rih and Synelnykove. During the day, the occupiers terrorised Nikopol region more than 30 times. 6 people were injured: men aged 66, 65, 55 and 84, and women aged 60 and 64. 1 man was hospitalised in serious condition after the russians attacked his car by a kamikaze drone. Overall, the regional centre, Myrove Pokrov, Chervonohryhorivka and Marhanets communities were targeted by drones and artillery. Several fires broke out, destroying 3 outbuildings, a private house, a garage and 2 cars. A high-rise building, businesses, 5 private houses, a canopy, a gas pipeline, passenger cars and trucks were damaged. Synelnykove region was attacked. A drone hit a private house in Novopavlivka community. Hryushivka community in Kryvyi Rih region was struck by a drone, causing a fire.
Vinnytsia oblast
A motor rally will be held in Vinnytsia to mark the Day of Remembrance of the Fallen Defenders of Ukraine. Participants are encouraged to bring photos of those lost to the war, as well as flags, posters and flowers.
Kirovohrad oblast
Olena Mykhalchenko, Deputy Director of the Regional Department of Social Protection, reported that Kirovohrad oblast currently has 231 places available for free accommodation of internally displaced persons from combat zones. These are rooms set up in former kindergartens, schools, feldsher-midwife stations and dormitories. In total, 82,000 IDPs are living in the oblast.
Poltava oblast
In Poltava, a memorial ceremony was held for serviceman Oleksii Kotman, who was killed on 16 November while carrying out assigned tasks in Donetsk oblast. He served as a sapper in the engineer-sapper platoon of a mechanised battalion.
Cherkasy oblast
In Cherkasy, forensic experts have helped identify and return home the bodies of 493 fallen servicemen since the beginning of 2024, when the process of exchanging the dead intensified.
Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine
Zaporizhzhia oblast
Yesterday, 10 August, the occupiers carried out 590 strikes on 13 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. russian forces launched 13 airstrikes on Zaporizhzhia, Komyshuvakha, Huliaipole, Malynivka, Novomykolaivka, and Novodanylivka. 372 UAVs of various types (mostly FPV) attacked Zaporizhzhia, Balabyne, Bilenke, Plavni, Orikhiv, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Charivne. Nine MLRS strikes hit Novomykolaivka, Malynivka, and Novodanylivka. There were 196 artillery strikes on Plavni, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, and Malynivka. There were 33 reports of destroyed houses, apartments, cars, and infrastructure facilities. Twenty people were injured as a result of enemy attacks on Zaporizhzhia.
On 10 August, the External Crisis Center of the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) was damaged as a result of a russian airstrike on Zaporizhzhia. The building of the center suffered partial destruction.
In the morning report, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that the Defense Forces repelled four russian attacks in vicinity of Kamianske and Mala Tokmachka towards Orikhiv. russian forces attacked twice in the area of Malynivka towards Huliaipole.
Mykolaiv oblast
On the night of 11 August, air defense forces neutralized two Shahed 131/136 type UAVs in Mykolaiv oblast.
Yesterday, on 10 August, at 12pm, the enemy attacked Kutsurub community with an FPV drone. As a result of the attack a private house was damaged in the village of Dniprovke. There were no casualties.
The Office of the Prosecutor General sent to court the case concerning the forcible removal of 15 children to russian territory from Novopetrivka Special School in Mykolaiv oblast. Investigators established the route of the illegal removal of the children and identified the suspects — a russian serviceman and two residents from the occupied part of Kherson oblast. The Office of the Prosecutor General collected evidence for consideration in Ukrainian and international courts. The suspects were added to sanction lists, and the case was sent to court under the relevant articles.
Odesa oblast
Oleh Kiper, Head of Odesa Regional Military Administration, met with veterans, participants, and prize winners of the Invictus Games, which took place in February this year in Canada. At the meeting, they agreed on organizational and financial support for the All-Ukrainian tournament in adaptive sports among veterans and on sending a team to the competition in Khmelnytskyi.
Kherson oblast
On 11 August, at about 11:20am, russian forces attacked Osokorivka in Novovorontsovka community with a drone. A 69-year-old woman who was at home sustained a blast injury and shrapnel wounds to her legs.
At approximately 7:30am, russian forces carried out a drone strike on Kherson. As a result of the attack, a 40-year-old man suffered a blast injury and shrapnel wounds to his face.
Yesterday, on 10 August, the aggressor attacked civilians with artillery, multiple launch rocket systems, mortars, and UAVs.The russians shelled Kherson, Antonivka, Kizomys, Yantarne, Sofiivka, Prydniprovske, Bilozerka, Chornobaivka, Stanislav, Berehove, Dniprovske, Molodizhne, Romashkove, Mykilske, Poniativka, Shyroka Balka, Veletenske, Novodmytrivka, Zymivnyk, Beryslav, Dudchany, Osokorivka, Shevchenkivka, Novovoskresenske, Kachkarivka, Ukrainka, Monastyrske, Petropavlivka, Olhivka, Burhunka, Virivka, Lvove, Tiahynka, Mykolaivka, Odradokamianka, Kozatske, and Vesele. Two apartment buildings, 13 private houses, a critical infrastructure facility, three cars, and a healthcare facility were damaged. Four people were killed and nine wounded, including three police officers, as a result of russian shelling.
Yesterday, on 10 August, the aggressor made four unsuccessful attempts to advance on Ukrainian defenders’ positions towards Kherson. Enemy losses amounted to 74 personnel, one tank, six artillery systems, 25 units of motor and armored vehicles, one Buk-M3 air defense system, two UAVs (Zala, Supercam), three electronic warfare systems, 18 motorcycles, four buggies, two boats, five UAV communication and control antennas, four field ammunition storage buildups and one integrated transformer substation. Thirty-three shelters were destroyed.
According to Colonel Oleksandr Zavtonov, spokesperson for the 30th Marine Corps, russian forces attacked Ukrainian defenders’ positions on the right bank of Kherson oblast 31 times in the past week. All attacks were repelled.
Last week, almost half a thousand residents of Beryslav region received assistance from Fortitude mobile clinics. Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
