There were no significant changes in the situation along other directions.

Ukrainian forces continue to exhaust the enemy along the entire line of contact and in the rear.

As part of the agreements reached in Istanbul, the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War released a group of Ukrainian defenders who had been seriously injured and had critical health problems. Among those released today are servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including representatives of the Navy, Army, Airborne Forces, Special Forces, Security Service, Border Guard, National Guard and State Special Transport Service. The current exchange brings back defenders of Mariupol who had spent more than 3 years in captivity. In addition to soldiers and non-commissioned officers, officers were also released. All of the released defenders have critical injuries and serious illnesses: amputated limbs, vision problems, abscesses, infections, trauma, shrapnel wounds and chronic diseases. Some of the liberated defenders were diagnosed with hepatitis and tuberculosis. The returned defenders will be taken to medical centres to undergo all necessary examinations and sent for further treatment and medical rehabilitation. All those released will be provided with the necessary assistance, their documents will be restored and they will be paid the appropriate financial support for their stay in captivity. The large-scale prisoner exchange is ongoing. For security reasons, the exact number of people released will be announced after the exchange is completed. Ukraine is consistently working to implement the “all for all’ formula in all categories.

Other

In Kupiansk community and the region, 4,500 people still need to be evacuated. There are 1,600 people in the city and 98 on the left bank. Unfortunately, there are cases when people return to the communities from which they were evacuated. We constantly explain that this is extremely dangerous.

Since 2022, more than 300,000 explosive devices have been found and defused.

Today, more than 517,000 IDPs are registered in the oblast. About 10,000 people have been accommodated in temporary accommodation.

Donetsk oblast

Frontline

Ruslan Mykula, Co-founder of the Deep State analytical project, reported that the russian army is actively advancing on the border of Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk oblasts. Russian troops have intensified their offensive from Troitske and Horikhove towards Pokrovsk.

Maksym Bilousov, Head of the 60th Inhulets Brigade’s communications department, said that towards Lyman, russian troops are storming the positions of the 60th Brigade in small groups every day, using drones and motorcycles. The shelling and assaults are scheduled.

Dmytro Zaporozhets, Spokesman of Luhansk military operation, stated that russia has reduced the number of assaults, but intensified artillery shelling and air strikes in Donetsk oblast. The hottest areas are Toretsk and Siversk. Ukrainian Armed Forces also managed to stabilise the situation in the area of Yablunivka towards Toretsk.

Attacks

Over the day russian troops fired 3,414 times at the frontline and residential areas. According to the police, the enemy attacked 16 settlements: Bilytske, Dobropillia, Kostiantynivka, Kramatorsk, Lyman, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Rodynske, Sloviansk, Yarova, Boikivka, Viroliubivka, Illinivka, Malynivka, Sosnove and Stepy. 60 civilian objects were destroyed, including 24 residential buildings.

Russia dropped a KAB-250 bomb on Myrnohrad and shelled the city with artillery, killing one person and injuring one. Four apartment buildings were damaged.

Russians killed one civilian in Pokrovsk by hitting a private house. Another person was injured when a drone hit a civilian car on the road.

The occupiers shelled Yarova with Smerch multiple rocket launchers – one person was killed and two injured. Two private houses and a car were damaged.

Two civilians were wounded in Kramatorsk, where the enemy shelled with Smerch multiple rocket launchers and drones. Three apartment buildings, an enterprise and 9 civilian cars were damaged.

In Kostiantynivka, russian troops sent drones at 2 civilian cars, resulting in one wounded.

In Boikivka, Shakhove community, an enemy drone hit a civilian car, injuring one person.

A residential building was damaged in Rodynske and a civilian bus in Bilytske as a result of drone strikes.

In Sloviansk, drones damaged 4 apartment buildings, an educational institution, 4 garages and 4 cars.

Luhansk oblast

The invaders attacked 12 times in the Liman sector and near Nadiia. According to the RMA, they sent 80 drones to the enemy’s shelters and villages around them. They also used 28 fpv drones. The enemy had artillery and air support. Specifically, the russians tried to hit the area with cannon artillery 38 times. They attacked this section of the frontline from the air.

The so-called “lpr” acknowledged an acute shortage of personnel in the occupation state and municipal institutions. A significant number of experienced and promising specialists evacuated. This is especially true for the territories seized in 2022. In addition, even the remaining traitors are not satisfied with the level of salaries offered by the russians. For instance, the salary of a first-class employee is slightly higher than the social pension. Another reason is the low level of education in the occupied territories, which further affects the training of specialists. Numerous refresher courses do not help the situation.

Persons living in the “lpr” who have previously been recognised as injured at work will not be able to receive the relevant payments from 1 January 2026 unless they have russian-type documents confirming the degree of loss of professional ability and the need for assistance. Not only documents obtained in Ukraine, but also those issued in the “lpr” – so to speak, of the local standard – will become invalid. Thus, documents issued in the “lpr” will not be recognised in the “dpr”. To replace the old documents, you need to have a russian passport and undergo a medical and social examination before the end of the year.
