The situation on the frontline remains tense but under control. The Ukrainian defence forces are making efforts to disrupt the russian aggressor’s offensive plans and destroy its personnel and equipment.
A total of 80 combat engagements have taken place since the beginning of the day.
Border settlements of Sumy and Chernihiv oblasts continue to suffer from cynical artillery shelling from the territory of the russian federation. Snovsk, Kliusy, Porozok, Oleksandrivka, Hremiach, Karpovychi, Brantsivka, Turia, Prohres, Bleshnia and Yeline were affected by the fire of cannon artillery and MLRS.
At the same time, Kharkiv oblast is under constant bombardment by enemy aircraft. Today, from the direction of Belgorod (Russia) and Shebekino (Russia), terrorists carried out three strikes, including four UAVs. They targeted Lyptsi, Vovchanski Khutory and Okhrymivka.
In addition, towards Kharkiv, russian invaders stormed the defensive lines near Hlyboke, Vovchansk and Lyptsi 10 times. Three combat engagements are currently underway. The situation remains under control of our troops.
Towards Kupiansk, the enemy stormed the positions of our troops four times near Synkivka, Stelmakhivka and Novoselivka. Two firefights are still ongoing. Ukrainian soldiers continue to hold steadfastly the defence.
Towards Lyman, the invading army made seven attacks on Ukrainian positions near Makiivka, Hrekivka and Terny during the day. Six engagements ended without success for the enemy, and one is ongoing.
Towards Siversk, the enemy continues to look for weaknesses in our defences. Near the settlements of Klishchiivka and Vyimka, Ukrainian defenders repelled three enemy attacks. Another combat engagement did not end. The situation is under control.
Towards Kramatorsk, the invaders made nine assaults on Ukrainian troops’ positions near Kalynivka, Hryhorivka and Klishchiivka. Six battles are still ongoing.
Towards Toretsk, nine hostile attacks took place near Pivnichne, Toretsk and Niu-York. Ukrainian troops repelled five enemy attacks, four more combat engagements are ongoing.
Pokrovsk axis witnessed the highest number of engagements. Since the beginning of the day, the occupants have made 24 attempts to push our defenders from their positions in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Kalynove, Prohres, Lozuvatske, Yevhenivka, Novoselivka Persha and Yasnobrodivka. The defence forces are holding back the attack and repelled 18 enemy attacks, six battles are still ongoing. The enemy’s losses are being clarified.
Towards Kurakhove, fighting continues near Krasnohorivka. According to updated information, two attacks by the occupation army are currently underway in the area, and two have already been completed. Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled another enemy attack near Paraskoviivka.
Towards Vremivka, four enemy attempts to advance were made near Vodiane and Makarivka. One battle is ongoing.
Towards Orikhiv, Ukrainian troops repelled two russian assaults. Here, the invaders failed near Verbove and Robotyne.
Towards Prydniprovskyi, the enemy also unsuccessfully attacked our defenders twice near Krynky. Dariivka, Tiahynka and Odradokamianka were hit by eight multiple rocket launchers.
Serhii Koretskyi, CEO of Ukrnafta, said that they plan to invest $1bn in the construction of power plants. In the short term, Ukrnafta plans to build power plants with a capacity of at least 100MW over the next 3 years.
The Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine said that the allocation of UAH 5.7bn to pay monetary compensation to veterans and their families for the purchase of housing has been approved. The funds have been distributed under three budget programmes of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs for 2024, which will allow almost 2,500 people to receive financial compensation for housing.
Recent war events in the east of Ukraine
Kharkiv oblast
According to the report of the General Staff by 4pm, four UAVs attacked Lyptsi, Vovchanski Khutory and Okhrymivka. Towards Kharkiv, russian occupants stormed the defensive lines near Hlyboke, Vovchansk and Lyptsi 10 times, and three combat engagements are ongoing.
Towards Kupiansk, russia stormed the positions of Ukrainian troops four times near Synkivka, Stelmakhivka and Novoselivka. Two battles are ongoing.
Oleksandr Kulik, Spokesman of Derhachi CMA, reported that a 67-year-old civilian woman was killed as a result of an enemy’s attack on Ruska Lozova. The woman was in her garden when the russian federation struck. She received a shrapnel wound to the head, which was incompatible with life. A 74-year-old civilian man sustained a shrapnel wound. The shell hit the garden of one of the households, damaging three houses.
In Kupiansk region, at around 3:30pm, russian armed forces shelled Hlushkivka village of Kurylivka community. A woman was killed.
At 5:10am, russians attacked Hlushkivka village of Kurylivka community, Kupiansk region. As a result of the shelling, 6 private houses and 2 outbuildings were destroyed. 8 private houses and 9 outbuildings were damaged. Two women and a man were injured.
At 1:07am, russians attacked Kozacha Lopan village of Derhachi community, Kharkiv region. As a result of the shelling, a shop was on fire.
Yesterday the enemy attacked the oblast with 36 multiple rocket launchers.
Yesterday at 11pm, russians attacked Nova Kozacha village of Derhachi community, Kharkiv region. A drone hit damaged window glazing, doors of a residential building and an outbuilding.
At 10:01pm, the russians attacked Slatyne village of Derhachi community, Kharkiv region, hitting an agricultural enterprise. As a result of the shelling, the roof of the hangar was on fire.
At 5:40pm, russians attacked Kotivka village of Vovchansk community, Chuhuiv region. The shelling damaged a farm, two combines, five tractors and a warehouse building. A man was injured.
At 5:15pm, russians attacked Zemlianyi Yar village of Vovchansk community, Chuhuiv region. As a result of the shelling, a hangar, agricultural machinery, a car, 5 tonnes of grain, and construction materials were burning.
At 4pm, russians attacked Kharkiv. The shelling of Kyivskyi district of the city partially destroyed 2 private houses, damaged 10 private houses, 12 apartment buildings, cafes, a post office, a two-storey sports club and two university buildings. 14 people were injured.
At 9:52am, russians attacked Ruska Lozova village, Kharkiv region. The shelling destroyed 11 private houses, 3 outbuildings and damaged 5 cars. Three men were injured.
Towards Kharkiv, the enemy continued its offensive with the support of aviation, with a total of 15 combat engagements near Vovchansk, Hlyboke and Lyptsi.
Towards Kupiansk, the number of combat engagements totalled eight over the day. Defence forces repelled enemy attacks near Synkivka in Kharkiv oblast and Stelmakhivka in Luhansk oblast.
In Sotnytsia Kozachok village, where active fighting is taking place, 30 people were evacuated. Currently, there are 2 people in the village – they are being communicated with about the evacuation. In Bohodukhiv region, 12 children with their families from Oleksandrivka and Skoryky are being prepared for evacuation.
In Borova community, lists of children subject to mandatory evacuation from 5 settlements have been drawn up. As of 18 June, there were 33 children from 24 families. Currently, 22 children from 18 families have been evacuated. The following remain in the community: Zahryzove village – 6 children from 3 families; Makiivka village – 3 children from 2 families; Shyikivka village – 2 children from 1 family. In total, only 11 children from 6 families remain in the defined settlements.
Initially, the enemy used FAB-500 only towards Kupiansk, in the northern territories, i.e. directly on the front line. It can now fly up to 80km, so it can reach any part of the regional centre. Kharkiv is now being hit with this particular ammunition. Therefore, the air raid alerts that we hear for almost 12-16 hours are absolutely real and, if possible, people need to stay in shelters.
Donetsk oblast
Nazar Voloshyn, Spokesman of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group, reported that our forces have retreated from the Kanal neighbourhood in Chasiv Yar. Ukrainian troops have withdrawn to more defensible positions.
Vadym Filashkin, Head of the RMA, reported that 9 people, including four children, were injured as a result of a russian attack on Novohrodivka.
The CMA said that the russian army shelled Selydove community three times in one hour, targeting Ukrainsk, Vyshneve and Petrivka settlements. The shelling damaged 14 houses. The community was probably attacked with Uragan rocket launchers and bombs.
Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office stated that as a result of russian shelling, one person was killed and 7 others injured. A 37-year-old employee of an agricultural enterprise was killed. At the time of the attack, the woman was going to feed the animals.

The press service of Donetsk police confirmed that the occupation forces fired 2,501 times on the territory of the oblast. 17 settlements were under attack: Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka, Siversk, Toretsk, Niu-York, Bohatyr, Dachne, Ivanopillia, Katerynivka, Kostiantynopil, Mykhailivka, Nelipivka, Novozhelanne, Oleksandropil, Ostrivske and Tarasivka.
51 civilian objects were damaged, including 29 residential buildings, an enterprise, a shop, non-residential premises, agricultural machinery and cars and winter wheat fields.

Three civilians were injured, and 7 apartment buildings and 13 private houses destroyed in Druzhkivka as a result of an enemy strike.
Also russia dropped a KAB-500 guided missile on Kostiantynivka, damaging critical infrastructure.
The invaders struck Bohatyr village using two UMPB D-30SN bombs, damaging an enterprise, a shop, agricultural machinery and civilian cars.

Oleksandr, a soldier with the 68th Ranger Brigade, said that the russian army is preventing Ukrainian troops from approaching their positions towards Pokrovsk, attacking their vehicles with kamikaze drones. The Armed Forces are installing electronic warfare devices on their vehicles to get to the positions.
Luhansk oblast
According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to counter the enemy’s attempts to reach the administrative border of Luhansk oblast. Yesterday, the enemy unsuccessfully stormed the defensive lines of our units near Stelmakhivka four times. They used aviation for support, attacking with anti-aircraft gunships. For the second day in a row, russian troops have been trying to break through the defences near Nevske, Makiivka, Hrekivka and in Serebrianka forest.
The enemy fired 88 times directly at Makiivka and Nevske: 34 with artillery and 52 with UAVs. Nevske, where people still live, was shelled twice by MRLs. Despite the danger, a working group of Krasnorichensk VMA delivered a weekly supply of bread to residents and to neighbouring Novoliubivka.
In total, the invading army carried out 29 attacks in this section of the frontline: 23 clashes ended without success for the enemy, and five more, including in Serebrianka forest, were ongoing as of the morning.
The authorities of the occupied part of Luhansk oblast announced the overhaul of three pumping stations and two water pipelines in Lysychansk, where people have been living without centralised water supply for three years. They promise to install modern modular pumping stations with a capacity of 24,000 m3 per day, but so far they have only dismantled the buildings and the surviving equipment. In Lutuhyne region, people have been without water in 38-degree heat since yesterday. It is not known when the water pipeline will be repaired, but there will be no water supply.
More than 1,500 medical positions are vacant in the “lpr”. The “republic” is in dire need of narrow-profile medical specialists: rheumatologists, pulmonologists, endocrinologists. General practitioners are also needed, primarily therapists and surgeons.
Meanwhile, the “people’s government” has “taken control” of prices for consumer goods. The “Ministry of Industry and Trade of lpr” reported that more than a thousand individual entrepreneurs had “voluntarily” limited the trade margin on their goods. In reality, people are simply unable to buy the essentials, as prices in lpr are even higher than in russia and two to three times higher than in Ukraine.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
Kyiv City Military Administration reported that on the night of 4 July, the russian military attacked Kyiv with drones. Air defence forces destroyed the drones on the outskirts of the capital. There were no casualties or damage in the capital.
A catalogue of Ukrainian manufacturers was presented at Kyiv Regional Military Administration, which includes 255 units of equipment manufactured by 32 companies from 14 oblasts of Ukraine. According to the RMA estimation, there is a significant need for transport, municipal and special equipment, and especially for reconstruction equipment in the communities. More than 65% of the oblast has been damaged due to russian aggression, and equipment has been ruined or stolen.
The RMA announced the meeting of the regional operational headquarters in preparation for winter held in Kyiv oblast. Installation of solar power plants, cogeneration units, generators and other sources of alternative power, conclusion of ESCO contracts, transition of enterprises and institutions to imported electricity, firewood harvesting for commercial establishments and households – the housing and utilities sector is preparing for the autumn and winter period.
Kyiv City Military Administration informed that at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Service for Children and Families, with the support of local authorities, evacuated about 1,500 orphans to safe conditions.
Mayor Anatolii Fedoruk announced that since the beginning of the russian invasion, Bucha community has allocated UAH 122.3m to support the Armed Forces. The funds were used mainly for the purchase of drones and equipment, as well as direct subventions to military units. In particular, 258 quadcopters, 205 generators and starters, and 38 cars were purchased. The community also raised UAH 4m for 156 Bucha FPV drones for three brigades.
Since the beginning of the war, employees of Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill have donated three hundred litres of blood. On Tuesday, the company held its third Donor Day since the beginning of the year, with hundreds of employees, their families and members of Obukhiv community volunteering to donate blood. The event was held under the slogan “Everything for the Frontline”.
The Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War announced that the National Museum “Kyiv Art Gallery” opened a photo exhibition “Do not be silent. Captivity Kills” dedicated to women who are fighting for the lives of their captured husbands, fiancés, sons, parents, friends and girl-friends.
Zhytomyr oblast
Based on the report by the head of the regional state administration Vitalii Bunechko, a fire broke out in a private house in Zhytomyr oblast last night as a result of the fall of russian drone debris, and a woman was injured. According to preliminary information, three Shahed kamikaze drones were destroyed by air defence forces over the oblast during an air attack at night.
Since 4 July, the DozoR Shelter mobile application became available to Zhytomyr residents. The app shows the nearest shelters with an automatic door opening system when the phone owner’s location is determined. The app makes it possible to receive notifications about the start and end of the air raid, select the nearest shelter with an automatic door opening system, and calculate the shortest route to it.
Sumy oblast
The RMA reported that at night and in the morning, russians attacked the border areas and settlements of Sumy oblast 7 times. A total of 18 attacks from various types of weapons were recorded. Khotyn, Miropillia, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia and Druzhba communities were shelled.
On the night of 4 July, air defence forces destroyed an enemy Shahed UAV in the sky over Sumy oblast.
The regional military administration reports that russian troops attacked Sumy region 25 times over the past day. A total of 80 explosions were recorded. Nine border communities were shelled.
Krasnopillia community: two FPV drones attacked (2 explosions), artillery shelling (2 explosions), mortar shelling (7 explosions).
Seredyna-Buda community: an FPV drone strike (1 explosion), artillery shelling (18 explosions), mortar shelling (3 explosions) were recorded.
Velyka Pysarivka community: russian military used mortars (9 explosions).
Svesa community: 6 mines were dropped on the territory of the community by the russian army.
Znob-Novhorodske community: mortar shelling (3 explosions) and artillery shelling (6 explosions).
Druzhba community: russian military attacked with mortars (3 explosions) and FPV drones (2 explosions).
Esman community: mortar shelling (12 explosions).
Hlukhiv community: FPV drone strikes were recorded (2 explosions).
Bilopillia community: the russian army attacked with artillery (4 explosions).
]Sumy police reported that the building of a cultural and leisure centre was damaged as a result of attacks by the russian army on 4 July. According to the North Joint Task Force, a fire broke out at an industrial facility as a result of shelling of Druzhba by kamikaze drones.
Sumy volunteers handed over a humanitarian bus to Elektroavtotrans from partners in Germany. The replenishment of the vehicle fleet was made possible thanks to the cooperation of the SBB-Home front NGO with the German charity “Blue and Yellow Cross”. The approximate market value of this vehicle is 23 thousand euros, but when the management of the German company learned that the bus would be transferred to the needs of Ukrainians, they returned the money in full.
Chernihiv oblast
Viacheslav Chaus, head of the RMA informed that last night, an enemy drone hit one of the facilities in Chernihiv oblast. As a result of the strike, 5,963 consumers were left without power supply – power engineers are working to restore it. The air raid alert in Chernihiv oblast lasted over 5 hours on the night of 4 July.
According to the Department’s of Civil Protection and Defence report, an administrative building, outbuildings, two private houses and power lines were damaged as a result of a UAV explosion in the oblast. Residents of 16 settlements were left without electricity.
The State Border Guard Service reported that on 3 July russian troops conducted 127 attacks on the border of Chernihiv oblast. Semenivka community: 1 FPV drone strike in the direction of Leonivka. Snovsk community: 111 attacks with cannon artillery and AGS in the direction of Yelino, Hirsk, Klyusy and Khrinivka. Novhorod-Siverskyi community: 15 mortar attacks in the direction of Mikhalchyna Sloboda and Hremyach.
On 3 July, in Novhorod-Siverskyi in Chernihiv oblast, a junior sergeant, 48-year-old Oksana Korotka, was honoured with the “last goodbye” by her family. She was a mother of three children with disabilities and a teacher of Ukrainian language and literature. Liudmyla Tkachenko, head of the community mentioned that this was the first female soldier from the community to die at the front.
This year, at the expense of the state subvention and co-financing from the local budget, a dual-purpose building with protective properties of a radiation shelter was built in the local kindergarten of Tulychivka community. The local lyceum is repairing the shelter with the support of the international non-governmental organisation “Finn Church Aid” (Finland).
The regional military administration announced that 26 system units were brought to Chernihiv oblast’s educational institutions by Latvian volunteer Ingus Ostrovskis. The equipment was provided by the “Brunotava” organisation (Riga), which had previously provided humanitarian aid to Borzna Lyceum. In April and May, 175 system units and 80 monitors were delivered.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipro Oblast Council, reported that air defence destroyed 2 shaheds over the oblast at night. The occupiers attacked Nikopol region three times. They hit the region’s centre and Chervonohryhorivka community. They launched a kamikaze drone and a dozen artillery shells. A 68-year-old woman was injured in the shelling in Nikopol, she was hospitalised with shrapnel wounds in the trauma department. Four multi-storey buildings, a fitness club, an administrative building, 2 shops, 3 cars, a power line and a gas pipeline were damaged. In the morning, the enemy attacked Nikopol again with drones. They hit the infrastructure. It also became known about another person killed in a June 28 strike on the centre of Dnipro.
During the day, russians terrorized Nikopol region. They shelled the region’s centre and Pokrovsk community with artillery and kamikaze drones. The shelling injured 7 people, a 60-year-old woman and six men aged 31 to 83. All of them sustained shrapnel wounds. 6 apartment buildings, 11 private houses, a bank, a shop, a kindergarten and a library, an administrative building, 6 outbuildings, 4 cars, a power line and a gas pipeline were damaged. In the afternoon, the enemy attacked Zelenodolsk community in Kryvyi Rih region with FPV drones. A building was damaged. According to updated information, 58 people were injured in yesterday’s attack on Dnipro. There are still 21 wounded in the hospital. Three are in serious condition.
Serhii Lysak, Head of the RMA, reported that rescuers have dismantled 90% of the rubble of a multi-storey building in Dnipro that was damaged by a russian missile on 28 June. More than 1,600 tons of construction waste were removed from the attacked building. They inspected 45 apartments that were accessible.
Vinnytsia oblast
A memorial plaque was unveiled in the village of Bolhan in Vinnytsia oblast in honour of 28-year-old defender Konstiantyn Volianskyi, nicknamed “Voliya”. The plaque was placed on the facade of the Bolhan Gymnasium of the Studenia Village Council, where the fallen soldier studied.
Kirovohrad oblast
In the town of Znamianka, Kirovohrad oblast, the funeral of 31-year-old machine gun platoon driver, soldier Denys Savinkov, who was killed during an assault in Donetsk oblast, was held.
Poltava oblast
An employee of a gas production company was killed in the russian shelling of Poltava oblast on 3 July. The man worked as an electrician, he was 49 years old. Three more of his colleagues were injured. The gas infrastructure was damaged.
Mykola Oleshchuk, Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported that a UAV was shot down in Poltava oblast at night.
Philip Pronin, Head of the RMA, announced that two defenders from Poltava oblast joined the team that will represent Ukraine at the Invictus Games 2025. Yaroslav Sharkyi is a senior soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In July 2023, the defender was wounded while performing a combat mission in Luhansk oblast. Junior sergeant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksii Vasyliuk. He was wounded in October 2022 as a result of an enemy artillery attack in Donetsk oblast.
Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine
Zaporizhzhia oblast
On 3 July, the occupiers carried out 391 strikes on 10 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. 2 civilians were killed and 1 injured. A man and a woman were killed as a result of enemy shelling in Vasylivka and Polohy regions. Another man was injured due to russian attacks in Zaporizhzhia oblast.
The russian forces conducted 2 airstrikes on Novoandriivka. 77 UAVs of various modifications attacked Chervonodniprovka, Huliaipole, Levadne, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, Novoandriivka, Uspenivka and Novopavlivka.
There were 12 MLRS strikes on Robotyne and Novoandriivka. 200 artillery strikes targeted the territories of Huliaipole, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, Robotyne, Levadne, Malynivka and Plavni.
There were 12 reports of damage to residential buildings and infrastructure objects.
The occupiers killed a 36-year-old man in Novopavlivka village in Polohy region. They hit near a residential building by a drone. As a result of sustained injuries, a man was killed on the spot.
In the TOT of Ukraine, russian occupiers are involving children in the paramilitary game Zarnitsa. During this game, schoolchildren, aged 7 and above, are dressed in military uniforms and taught to handle weapons. They also simulate combat actions and promote narratives about the “greatness of russia” and anti-Ukrainian rhetoric. This occurs in camps intended for children’s recreation and entertainment.
In temporarily occupied Enerhodar, drones attacked the Raduha distribution substation. Representatives of the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP reported the situation to experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency. According to Zaporizhzhia NPP representatives, 8 workers were injured and 1 required medical assistance. The strikes also caused forest fires.
Mykolaiv oblast
Vitalii Kim, Head of Mykolaiv, informed that on 3 July, russian forces shelled Ochakiv and Snihurivka communities in Mykolaiv oblast. At 9:53am, the enemy shelled the water area of Ochakiv community by artillery. In Bashtanka region, around 8pm, russians shelled Snihurivka community, resulting in a wheat field catching fire, which was quickly extinguished. There were no casualties reported.
The European Union has allocated €25m for new projects to repair and modernise damaged facilities in 5 cities in Chernihiv, Sumy and Mykolaiv oblasts. According to the Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO), the procurement phase is currently ongoing. These projects will focus on the modernisation and repair of municipal service facilities in the areas of centralised heating, water supply and wastewater management. NEFCO is providing technical project management. The projects are planned for Chernihiv and Nizhyn in Chernihiv oblast, Okhtyrka and Trostianets in Sumy oblast and Pervomaisk in Mykolaiv oblast. Previously, it was reported that the NEFCO would allocate more than €4m for the restoration of water supply networks in Korabelnyi district of Mykolaiv.
In Mykolaiv, on the occasion of the founding day of the 188th Territorial Defence Battalion, veterans of the full-scale war, territorial defence forces, defenders of Ukraine and volunteers were honoured with awards and certificates.
Odesa oblast
Based on the information reported by the press service of Odesa City Council, with the assistance of Mayor of Trieste (Italy), Roberto Dipiazza, the Odesa City Emergency Medical Centre received a specialised vehicle and equipment for providing first aid. This is the 5th ambulance donated to Odesa residents by the Italians.
Kherson oblast
On 3 July, russian forces attacked Kherson, Antonivka, Sadove, Stanislav, Komyshany, Klapaia, Shyroka Balka, Pryozerne, Oleksandrivka, Mykilske, Darivka, Beryslav, Tiahynka, Dudchany, Zolota Balka, Kachkarivka, Burhunka, Monastyrske, Mykolaivka, Odradokamianka, Zmiivka, Lvove and Kozatske.
Due to russian aggression, 1 person was killed, 7 people injured and 2 apartment buildings, 37 private houses and a car damaged. Also, the occupying forces targeted an educational institution and gas pipelines.
According to Kherson RMA, on 3 July, a father and son were injured by enemy shelling. They were in an auto repair shop at the time of the strike. A Grad missile flew inside but did not explode. The 42-year-old man suffered blast and craniocerebral injuries, contusions and wounds to his torso and legs. His 19-year-old son also sustained blast injuries and shrapnel wounds to his arms.
On 4 July, the occupying forces attacked Antonivka in Kherson oblast with a drone. As a result, a 56-year-old resident was injured. At the time of the strike, the man was outside. He was hospitalised with explosive trauma and shrapnel wounds to his legs.
Due to the russian shelling of Lvove village, Vira Kopytchenko, Deputy of Tiahynka Village Council, was killed.
Grain grown in the occupied territories of Kherson oblast and stolen is transported to russia and then resold to 3rd countries. Most of the stolen grain is exported by russians to China, India and Turkey.
During the conference Functioning of Natural Reserve Fund Objects in Ukraine under Martial Law: Ways of Restoration and Development, Viktor Shapoval, Director of Askania-Nova Biosphere Reserve, reported that 4 criminal cases have been registered for the illegal export of animals from reserve, with damages amounting to over UAH 60m for the 1st episodes.

Zakarpattia oblast
Colonel Roman Us, Commander of the United Brigade of the National Police of Ukraine Skelia, knight of the Order of Danylo Halytskyi, received keys to the new apartment. The man has been defending Ukraine since the beginning of the russian invasion back in 2014. From the first days of the full-scale war, Roman Us was Head of the Combined Battalion of the National Police West on the hottest areas of the front. Now the Colonel Heads the Combat Brigade of the National Police, which, as part of the Defense Forces, repels the invaders.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
The Training centre, where the pilots of unmanned aircraft will be trained, received 3 DJI Mavic 3 Thermal worth over UAH 530,000 thanks to the funds of the regional budget within the framework of the regional program of support for the military formations of the oblast.
Ivano-Frankivsk community sent a quad bike, TRAXTER MAX all-terrain vehicle (buggy), 50 FPV drones, 2 Mavics, medical equipment (defibrillator, ECG, inspection lamp) and other necessary things to the 102th Brigade and a Mavik, 20 FPV drones and 2 ecoflows to the 78th Battalion.
30 military children of Ivano-Frankivsk community went to Yelhava for rehabilitation. Every year, children of defenders killed/missing, children of defenders who were wounded in combat, as well as children, one of whose parents takes a direct part in hostilities, go on such excursion trips.
Lviv oblast
The RMA held a meeting with a delegation from the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry. They discussed cooperation. As of 1 April, 279 enterprises with German capital were registered in Lviv oblast.
In Lviv Regional Hospital of War Veterans and Repressed People named after Lypa, the modern Rehabilitation Department with a hall for patients with reduced mobility has been put into operation. In the new department, multidisciplinary teams will provide comprehensive care to patients, included, physical and psychological rehabilitation, help and support from social workers. In total, over UAH 350m were invested in this medical facility from the regional budget over 2 years.
Lviv City Council reported that in the city, out of 175 school days due to air alarms, the average 7th grade student missed only 8 days, or rather 60 lessons. This is only 4.5%. That is, almost 96% of the time at school, children had full lessons and studies.
Rivne oblast
An international conference has started in Rivne oblast. It is dedicated to judicial protection of political and civil rights and freedoms.
Military personnel and their relatives conquered the highest peak of the Rosokhatskyi Polony, Vysokyi Verkh (Rosokhatskyi) mountain with a height of 1,177 m. The ascent of the defenders took place within the framework of the Hiking Therapy project. About 50 people took part in the event. Among them are defenders, they are friends with children. The youngest traveller is only 9 months old.
Ternopil oblast
Ternopil City Council allocated financial aid for the treatment and rehabilitation of 16 defenders from the city. Since the beginning of the year, 85 servicemen of the community have already received such financial assistance.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
A rotation of the IAEA mission took place at Khmelnytskyi NPP. For 3 weeks, participants of the 25th IAEA rotation worked at the site of the NPP, monitoring nuclear and radiation safety and security. Experts of the 26th rotation will continue to carry out mission tasks, conducting tours, surveys and interviews with NPP personnel.
Chernivtsi oblast
Tereblechensk community sent a laptop worth UAH 17,000 to the Military Unit A9937 and a quadcopter worth UAH 88,000 to the A0284 Military Unit.
The RMA reported that Klishkovets community allocated UAH 200,000 for one-time financial assistance to the families of fallen servicemen.
Construction workers continue work at Chernivtsi Regional Hospital for War Veterans. UAH 30m has been provided for the institution in the regional budget. Reconstruction is also financially supported by territorial communities. In particular, they allocated UAH 3.1m from local budgets. The hospital already has a contract with the National Health Service of Ukraine for rehabilitation services.
International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)
The US announced a new package of military aid to Ukraine, includes missiles for Hawk air defence systems; additional ammunition for HIMARS; 155 and 105 mm calibre artillery shells; 81 mm mortar rounds; PTKR TOW; Javelin anti-tank systems and AT-4 anti-tank grenade launchers; cartridges for small arms and hand grenades; explosive equipment and explosive ammunition; tractors for transportation of OiVT; tactical air navigation systems and equipment for aircraft maintenance; spare parts, maintenance equipment and other support equipment total worth $150m. The other part of the package is interceptor missiles for Patriot air defence systems and NASAMS worth $2.2bn. The funds are allocated under the PDA program – direct deliveries from reserves of the US Army.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, met with Dennis Francis, Chairman of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly. One of the practical results of the Summit may be a new resolution on nuclear safety and the safety of nuclear facilities in Ukraine, with an emphasis on Zaporizhzhia NPP. Ukraine will submit a draft of such a resolution to the General Assembly for consideration in the near future.

The UN announced “terrible losses among civilians” in Ukraine in the spring of 2024. According to the report, 23 children (12 boys and 11 girls) were among the killed. The UN also notes that during the spring at least 1,760 Ukrainian civilians were injured by russian shelling (over 100 of them were children). Continuous attacks of the russian federation led to the forced displacement of the population and the destruction of houses and enterprises.
The Blue/Yellow Lithuanian organisation, together with Dalia Hrybauskaite, former Head of the country, launched a fundraiser for drones for the Ukrainian army. The campaign will last until the end of summer.
