Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

On the Kharkiv front, Russian forces attempted offensive actions five times near Vovchansk, Hlyboke, and toward Kozacha Lopan. Russian troops attacked Ukrainian positions once on the Kupiansk front. Ukrainian forces repelled the assault near Kolisnykivka.
At 06:00, the Russians struck open terrain in Odnorobivka with a guided bomb, as reported by the police.
Over the past day, the occupiers used nine guided air bombs against unarmed residents of the Kharkiv region.

With air support, the enemy launched eight assaults in the areas of Vovchansk and Starytsia on the Kharkiv front.
Defense forces repelled enemy attacks near Dvorichna, Petropavlivka, Zelenyi Hai, Kolisnykivka, and Lozova in the Kupiansk direction, where seven attacks occurred throughout the day.
Over the past day, 49 people were evacuated from the Borova and Kupiansk directions. In Kupiansk, approximately 1,500 residents remain on the right bank, and 136 on the left bank. There are no children among them. In the 29 settlements of the Borova community, around 2,000 more people need to be evacuated. The evacuation of children and families from Boryva village has been completed.
No strikes on civilian targets or residents were recorded in the Kharkiv region on December 1 and 2—this is attributed to the coordinated efforts of the entire security and defense sector. Efforts are ongoing to involve businesses in equipping the region with electronic warfare (EW) systems. However, the enemy continues to target frontline areas, particularly in the Kupiansk, Zolochiv community, and Borova directions, as well as in the northern part of the region.
Donetsk oblast
This morning, Ukrainian forces repelled a Russian mechanized assault near the village of Maksymivka on the Kurakhiv defense axis, according to the drone unit “Hostri Kartuzy.”

The Aftermath of Russian Attacks
The day before, Russians struck Pokrovsk with what is preliminarily identified as a “UMPB D-30SN” bomb, hitting a nine-story residential building, according to the police.
A 61-year-old woman was killed. Two other civilians sustained injuries. Six apartment buildings and three civilian vehicles were damaged.
In Kostiantynivka, Russian forces shelled with artillery, killing a 52-year-old local resident. Three civilian men, aged 38, 55, and 65, were injured. Damage was reported to three apartment buildings, an educational institution, a civilian vehicle, and a gas pipeline.
Russian forces are reportedly mobilizing all reserves they have built up over the past year to maintain the current pace of their offensive, according to Nazar Voloshyn, spokesperson for the “Khortytsia” Operational-Strategic Group of Forces. There have been multiple instances of women and former convicts being sent on assaults.
Luhansk oblast
Near Bilohorivka, Ukrainian troops repelled another attack by the occupiers. According to the Regional Military Administration, the enemy also tried to advance near Hrekivka. These intentions were prevented by our Defenders. The positions of the Defence Forces were fired upon by the enemy 76 times. In ten cases, the invaders used artillery systems. Also, 66 unmanned aerial vehicles were sent in our direction.
Lysychansk still has no mobile phone service, which was cut off by the russians. To contact their relatives, the locals mostly go to Novoaydar or Starobelsk. However, there are places in the area of the former GTV plant where you can make a call. However, they are reluctant to disseminate this information in order to avoid a repeat of the situation that was reported in Siverskodonetsk. There, the occupiers learned about such “islands of coverage” and deprived people of the opportunity to use them.
In Luhansk, the invaders have set up Christmas trees symbolising each administrative-territorial unit of the so-called “lpr”. They try to decorate them “taking into account the unique characteristics of each municipality”. The Christmas tree from Sokolohirsk (formerly Pervomaisk) was decorated with toys symbolising “black gold”, i.e. coal. The coal industry was the pride of the town before the occupation. During this time, the invaders closed all the mines in and around the settlement, which was confirmed in comments by representatives of the occupation administration of the city, only toy coal remained.
