It has been the 1013th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression.

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 4 pm:

Russian invaders continue to storm the positions of Ukrainian defenders. Meanwhile, the Defense Forces of Ukraine are inflicting significant losses on the enemy in both personnel and equipment.

In total, 120 combat engagements took place since the start of the day.

Cynical shelling from the territory of the Russian Federation affected border settlements, including Popivka, Bobylivka, Sydorivka, Tymofiivka, Oleksandrivka, Bachevsk in Sumy region, and Tymofiivka in Kharkiv region.

Near the settlements of Vovchansk and Starytsia in the Kharkiv direction, since the beginning of the day, the enemy attempted to break through our defense lines six times, with two combat engagements still ongoing. The Russians also conducted airstrikes on Neskuchne and Kozacha Lopan, using eight KABs.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy launched three assault actions near Dvorichna, Petropavlivka, and Kolisnykivka. One combat engagement has concluded, while two are still ongoing.

In the Lyman direction, the invading army attacked 13 times near the settlements of Zelena Hrybivka, Hrekivka, Cherneshchyna, Kopanky, Yampolivka, and Terny. Six of the enemy’s attacks have not been completed.

Our defenders halted one attack in the Siversk direction near the settlement of Bilohorivka.

The Defense Forces repelled three enemy assaults near Hryhorivka and Chasiv Yar in the Kramatorsk direction.

In the Toretsk direction, the enemy attacked five times near the settlements of Toretsk, Nelipivka, and Shcherbynivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the occupiers have made 16 attempts to push our defenders from their positions in the areas of the settlements of Myrolyubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Krasnyi Yar, Dachenske, Zhovte, Chumatske, and Novyi Trud. The Defense Forces are holding off the enemy’s pressure, repelling ten attacks, with six combat engagements still ongoing. Enemy losses are being clarified.

In the Kurakhiv direction, the enemy attacked 27 times near the settlements of Berestky, Stari Terny, Sontsivka, Novodmytrivka, Zorya, Kurakhove, Dalshe, Katerynivka, Antonivka, and Hanivka. Fourteen combat engagements have concluded, with another 13 still ongoing.

In the Orikhiv and Dnipro directions, the enemy has not taken any active actions.

In other areas of the front, the situation has not changed significantly.

The Russian Federation has committed more than 4,700 environmental crimes in Ukraine, resulting in $64 billion in damages. This has led to soil, water, and air pollution and harmed Ukraine’s protected natural areas. This was reported by the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada, Dmytro Lubinets.

As of October 1, 2024, the Office of the Prosecutor General has documented 321 cases of sexual violence related to the war. According to UN estimates, the unreported cases of sexual and gender-based violence are 10-20 times higher. According to international law, sexual violence crimes include rape, sexual slavery, forced prostitution, forced pregnancy, forced abortion/sterilization/marriage, and any other form of sexual violence of comparable severity that is directly or indirectly related to the conflict. According to law enforcement agencies, the first instances of sexual violence against civilians in Ukraine were recorded at the beginning of the aggression in Eastern Ukraine in 2014. However, since February 24, 2022, the actions of the occupiers have reached an unprecedented scale.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

The Russian army conducted the most attacks in the past 24 hours near Kurakhove. On this section of the front, Ukrainian forces repelled 48 assaults, including near Zorya, Sontsivka, Kurakhove, Dalne, Hanyivka, and Uspenivka, according to the summary from the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

In the Pokrovsk direction, there were 33 combat engagements during the day. The occupiers attempted to advance in the areas of Myrolyubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Dacheniske, Zhovte, and Chumatske.

Another 24 assaults were carried out by Russian forces in the Vremivka direction, near Kostiantynopol, Trudove, Velyka Novosilka, Novosilka, Novyi Komar, and Novodarivka.

Kharkiv oblast

Near Vovchansk and Starytsia in the Kharkiv direction, since the beginning of the day, the Russian army has attempted to break through the defensive lines of Ukrainian forces six times. Two clashes were still ongoing at 16:00, according to the General Staff. The Russian army also carried out airstrikes on Neskuchne and Kozacha Lopania, using eight guided bombs.

In the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces launched three assault operations near Dvorichna, Petropavlivka, and Koliskivka. One clash has ended, and two are still ongoing.

No strikes were recorded on Kharkiv city and region in the past day, as reported by the OVA.

In the Kharkiv direction, our forces repelled ten enemy attacks near Starytsia, Tykyi, Vovchansk, and in the direction of Kozacha Lopania.

The enemy launched nine attacks on fortifications in the Kupiansk direction. Currently, four clashes in the areas of Lozova, Kruhlyakivka, Hlushkivka, and Zelenyi Hai have ended.

Over the past week in November, three civilians were killed, and 30 were injured in combat in the Kharkiv region, with most of the injuries occurring in Kharkiv.

As a result of cooperation between the Kharkiv OVA and UNICEF, the Pischany community has installed two backup heating boilers with a capacity of 5 and 2 MW. In case of a power outage, the boilers will provide backup heating for about 3,000 residents of multi-story buildings, a hospital, a primary health care center, and the premises of the State Emergency Service rescuers.

In Pischany, a shelter is being built for preschool education to accommodate 226 children and educators. The shelter will include four main classrooms, a medical station, a cafeteria, sanitary rooms, and showers. It will be autonomous due to two centralized power sources and a generator.

Before the war, more than 15.5 thousand people lived in the Borivska community. Now, there are just under 3 thousand. The security situation is extremely difficult, with active fighting occurring nearby.

The Ukrainian unit “Hostri Kartuzi” received caps from the creator of the eponymous series, one of which was signed by the lead actor Cillian Murphy. Donetsk oblast

Over the past day, the police recorded 3,113 enemy strikes on the front line and civilian areas. Shells exploded in six settlements: the cities of Mykolayivka, Pokrovsk, the village of Shevchenko, and the villages of Andriyivka, Bahatyr, and Stara Mykolayivka. A total of 13 civilian objects were damaged, including 9 residential buildings.

Russian forces shelled Pokrovsk three times, including with drones, wounding two civilians, damaging a private house, and two civilian vehicles.

In Shevchenko, as a result of a strike in the residential area, two civilians were injured.

An enemy drone attacked a civilian car near Andriyivka, injuring one person.

In Mykolayivka, the occupiers dropped two “UMPB D-30SM” air bombs, causing damage to critical infrastructure.

Stara Mykolayivka was hit by artillery, damaging six private homes. In Bahatyr, two houses were damaged.

Additionally, information was confirmed about two civilians injured in Pereizne on November 30.

The Russian army is losing about 500 soldiers weekly in the battles for Toretsk, which is the equivalent of a mechanized battalion, reported spokesperson for the Joint Forces Operation “Luhansk” Anastasia Bobovnikova. Occupying forces have also increased pressure near Nelipivka, with infantry and armored vehicles attacking this section of the front.

Since the beginning of 2024, the Russian party “United Russia” has issued over 10,000 Russian passports in the occupied part of Donetsk. This is part of Russia’s strategy to alter the demographics of the occupied territories and legitimize Russian authority in the region, as reported by the National Resistance Center.

Luhansk oblast

On Sunday, Russian forces were active near Hrekivka, where they attempted to assault Ukrainian positions. These attacks were repelled. Over the course of the day, the occupiers launched 77 strikes on villages and Ukrainian fortifications in the Luhansk region using both artillery and 62 drones.

From November 25 to December 1, border guards of the Luhansk squadron destroyed more than 80 Russian soldiers, wounded 42 others, and captured one. Ukrainian forces also destroyed or damaged nearly 100 pieces of enemy equipment, including three tanks and a radar station.

Conscripts in the so-called “LPR” from 2022 have not received the payments they were promised, even those who were seriously wounded. Responses to numerous inquiries indicate that the “People’s Militia of the LPR” was not yet part of the Russian armed forces at that time, meaning Russia refuses to pay the debts of others. Neither Russian military nor security forces are taking any action on the matter. As a result, around 3,000 people from the occupied territories, who participated in war crimes, remain without compensation.

As previously reported, 51% of positions in the emergency medical services and disaster medicine department of the “LPR” remain vacant, with this figure increasing monthly. This process could not be halted even after the occupation of communities in Luhansk in 2022. Instead, the number of medical brigades has decreased by 39, and only 15 graduates from local medical colleges have been employed in the department this year. Most men and women who finish their studies try to leave the “LPR” for other regions.
