What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 4 pm:   

The enemy does not stop trying to advance deep into the territory of Ukraine, the defense forces are holding back the invaders, causing them significant losses.

On 6 February, the number of enemy attacks was 62.

Border regions of Ukraine continue to suffer from russian shelling, including Khrypivka, Blyashnya, Arkhipivka in Chernihiv oblast; Bezsalivka, Ryzhivka, Iskryskivshchyna, Budky, Rohizne, Starykove, Studenok, Kozache, Doroshivka, Seredyna Buda, Novovasylivka, Shpyl, Znob-Novhorodske in Sumy oblast.

Towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk, the enemy carried out 51 attacks on settlements and positions of our units, in particular one from a multiple launch rocket system. It carried out two airstrikes using 7 GABs.

Towards Southern Sloboda, the enemy attacked three times in the vicinity of the settlement of Prylipka. One clash is ongoing.

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions.

Towards Lyman, Ukrainian soldiers repelled three attacks by the invaders in the vicinity of Drobysheve, Stavki, and Lyman. One attempt by the enemy to improve its position continues.

Towards Slaviansk, russians tried to advance to the positions of Ukrainian troops in the direction of Yampol, Platonovka, and Kryva Luka. One of the three clashes is still ongoing.

Towards Kramatorsk, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions.

Towards Kostiantynivka, the invaders conducted nine offensive actions near the settlements of Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Shcherbynivka, Berestok, Illinivka, and Sofiivka. Three attacks are ongoing.

Towards Pokrovsk, russian occupiers made 31 attempts to push Ukrainian soldiers from the occupied positions in the vicinity of the settlements of Vilne, Zatyshok, Novyi Donbas, Myrnohrad, Novooleksandrivka, Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novopidhorodne, Molodetske, Dachne, and Filiia. The defense forces are holding back the onslaught and repelled 28 attacks.

Towards Oleksandrivka, the aggressor attacked three times in the vicinity of Ivanivka and Zlahoda. There are currently no active clashes. The enemy carried out an airstrike near Pokrovsk.

Towards Huliaipole, Ukrainian defenders repelled 9 attacks by the occupiers, near Huliaipole, Zelene, Sviatopetrivka, Pryluky, and Staroukrainka. Four clashes are still ongoing. The enemy carried out seven airstrikes in the vicinity of Samiilivka, Voskresenka, Huliaipilske, Vozdvizhivka, Zalizne, Kamianka and Barvinivka.

Towards Orikhiv, the enemy once attacked the positions of our defenders near Primorske.

Towards Kherson, there were no enemy offensive actions.

In other directions, there were no significant changes.

Ukrainian troops are exhausting the enemy along the entire line of combat contact and in the rear.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

There were 152 combat clashes in the oblast.

Towards Southern Sloboda, the enemy tried three times to break through the defensive lines of our defenders, in the vicinity of the settlements of Vovchansk and Vovchanski Khutory.

Towards Kupiansk, there were two enemy attacks. Ukrainian defenders repelled the enemy’s assault actions in the vicinity of ​​the settlement of Zahryzove and towards Kupiansk.

The DeepState analytical project announced the occupation of the village of Dihtiarne, Vovchansk community, on February 6.

Mayor Serhii Zelenskyi reported that russian troops attacked the critical infrastructure of the Loziv community. According to him, strategically important objects of the community are gradually switching to alternative power sources. Utilities and energy workers are working to localize damage and restore stable operation of networks.

The State Emergency Service of the Kharkiv region reported that in Shipuvaty, Velykyi Burluk community, a fire was extinguished in a residential building that spread over an area of ​​about 100 sq. m. The cause of the fire was a strike by a Russian drone

Viktor Zabashta, Director of the Emergency Medical Assistance Center of Kharkiv oblast, says that on one day, two ambulances in Kharkiv oblast were hit by russian drones. On February 5, the russian federation attacked a car in Bakhtyn, Borova community, and Hrushivka, Kupiansk region. The medical vehicles were targeted.

Over the past day, the city of Kharkiv and 10 settlements of the oblast were subjected to enemy attacks. 6 people were injured as a result of the shelling.

In the village of Bakhtyn, Borova community, a 54-year-old and a 65-year-old woman were injured; in the village of Krasnopavlivka Lozivska community, 50-year-old and 65-year-old men, 44-year-old and 49-year-old women were injured.

The enemy attacked  Slobidskyi district of Kharkiv with MLRS.

The enemy actively used various types of weapons i:

▪️2 UAVs of the Geran-2 type;

▪️1 UAV of the Lancet type;

▪️1 UAV of the Molniya type;

▪️3 FPV drones;

▪️10 UAVs (type to be determined).

Civil infrastructure facilities were damaged and destroyed:

▪️In Kharkiv, power grids were damaged;

▪️In Kharkiv region, a private house was damaged (village Korotich);

▪️In Bohodukhiv region, a car was damaged (village Pysarivka);

▪️in Kupiansk region, a gas station (village Ohurtsivka) and power grids (village Voloska Balakliia) were damaged;

▪️in Izium region, 3 cars were damaged (village Bakhtyn);

▪️in Chuhuiv region, a private house, a car (village Shestakove), a private house, a combine harvester, and a truck (village Zakharivka) were damaged.

The transit evacuation point in Lozova received 84 people per day. A total of 18,258 people have been registered at the Point since it began operating.

157 Ukrainians were released from russian captivity as part of the exchange. Among them are seven residents of Kharkiv oblast: from Kharkiv, Chuhuiv, Izium, as well as Kharkiv and Bohodukhiv regions.

Donetsk oblast

Towards Pokrovsk, the russian army continues mass assaults, throwing a large number of personnel into battle, the commander of the 68th tank company of the “Physicist” chasseurs’ brigade reported. russian troops are actively using thick fog, trying to advance between Ukrainian positions. On the approaches to Pokrovsk, in particular near Myrnohrad, the occupiers are trying to pull up armored vehicles and heavy weapons – but Ukrainian drones hit such concentrations.

The RMA reports that on February 6, at 17:10, russian troops shelled Kramatorsk. A strike UAV hit the road surface in one of the residential areas of the city.

Anastasia Medvedeva, Apokeswoman for the regional prosecutor’s office, says that on February 6, Russian troops shelled the city of Dobropillya and the village of Orikhuvatka in the Donetsk region. Russian troops attacked both settlements with the help of FPV drones. As a result, a man was killed and another was wounded. 

On February 5, there werew 1,285 russian shelling along the front line and residential sector of the region.

8 settlements were under fire: the cities of Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk, Mykolaivka, Sloviansk, the villages of Novodonetske, Cherkaske, the villages of Maiaki, Pryvillia.

56 civilian objects were destroyed, including 34 residential buildings.

Sloviansk survived 5 shellings. The Russians hit the city with two KAB-250 bombs, an FPV drone, and two Geran-2 UAVs – damaging 1 apartment building and 6 private buildings, a fire station, and 4 civilian cars.

The enemy attacked Kramatorsk with two FPV drones, damaging a private house and a civilian car. In addition, today, at about 1:30, an enemy drone hit the roof of the covered market.

As a result of drone attacks in Druzhkivka, 2 private houses were damaged; in Mykolaivka, 2 apartment buildings, a store, an infrastructure facility, three cars; in Cherkassy, ​​2 private houses and a car.

The occupiers dropped a GAB-250 on Maiaki – a private house was damaged.

russian troops twice covered Privilne with Smerch MLRS – 19 private houses and 9 civilian cars were damaged.

The “white angels” evacuated nine people from Druzhkivka, including three children and four people with reduced mobility. On the way, the police received a report about the so-called “Zhdun” drone, which was hunting for cars. They had to use electronic warfare equipment and pave a new, safer route.

The RMA reports that in Druzhkivska community, by decision of the TEB and the National Emergency Situations Committee, the work of the Havrylivskyi market was temporarily suspended due to the security situation. The decision is forced and was made in view of the tragic events that occurred the day before as a result of enemy shelling, which led to the death of 7 people and the injury of 17.

Luhansk oblast

The day before, russians attacked towards Lyman nine times. Another 11 – towards Slaviansk. They tried to advance near nine settlements. The invaders used mortar installations six times in the territory of our region. They struck with automatic grenade launchers and multiple rocket launchers. They tried to hit the fortifications of our defenders with 11 drones.

The occupiers promise to complete the repair of the emergency section of the water supply near Alchevsk in 2027. They do not name more specific dates. For several years, twice a month, more than 200 thousand residents of Alchevsk, Perevalsk and surrounding settlements have been left without centralized water supply due to constant accidents. They promised to replace the 5 km section, which they have not paid any attention to for over 11 years, last year. However, the completion dates for the work are constantly being postponed. Now it is 2027.

There is only one ambulance paramedic left in Lysychansk. He is also the dispatcher. Therefore, when he leaves, he is not even able to take the next call. He comes to those he can reach in order of the queue. Therefore, when the townspeople, after unsuccessful attempts to call an ambulance by phone, try to get to the station on their own, they may simply not find anyone there. The occupation authorities of the settlement are in control of the situation, but do not take any measures.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko announced that it will take at least two months to restore the systems and equipment of the Darnytsia thermal power plant, presuming there are no further russian attacks on this energy facility. According to him, the thermal power plant provided heat to more than 1,100 high-rise buildings in the Darnytsia and Dniprovskyi districts of the capital. After the russian strike on the thermal power plant on the morning of 3 February, the water in the heating systems of these high-rise buildings was drained to prevent freezing. The official Kyiv portal has a list of buildings to which heat supply cannot be restored until the damaged thermal power plant is rebuilt.

Additional heating points have been set up in schools in neighbourhoods for people whose homes have been left without heat. Five additional centres have been set up in the Darnytskyi district and four in the Dniprovskyi district, which are connected to mobile boiler rooms and are open day and night. In addition, the State Emergency Service is setting up 36 additional heating centres in Darnytskyi and 27 in the Dniprovskyi district.

The Ministry of Culture reported that on 5 February debris from a russian drone damaged the premises of the National Library of Ukraine for Children. The shock wave damaged 10 window units and balcony doors; local damage to structural elements of the foundation, cracks in the walls and individual defects in the interior decoration were detected. Cracks were found in the decorative tiles in the library’s shelter, renovated last year with the assistance of the Azerbaijani Embassy. The Ministry of Culture noted that since the beginning of the invasion, russia has destroyed and damaged more than 850 libraries in Ukraine.

According to the head of the RMA, Mykola Kalashnyk, 265 educational institutions, including 86 kindergartens and 145 schools, were destroyed as a result of russian aggression in Kyiv oblast. As of now, 222 facilities have already been restored. Work is still ongoing in dozens of communities.

The Regional State Administration reported that in the Makariv community in Kyiv oblast, the Motyzhyn Lyceum, which suffered significant damage during the temporary occupation by russian troops, has been rebuilt. As a result of the hostilities, the assembly hall and sports hall of the educational institution were burned down, classrooms were damaged, the occupiers stole and destroyed equipment. The educational process has now been resumed at the lyceum.

A ‘Crisis Helpline’ has been set up in Kyiv. This is a support hotline for citizens and families with children who find themselves in difficult life circumstances or are experiencing a crisis situation and need urgent assistance. Specialists from the Kyiv City Territorial Centre for Social Services will provide psychological support and counselling, listen attentively, help reduce emotional tension, identify priority needs and suggest a specific algorithm for further action..

Zhytomyr oblast

According to Vitaliy Bunechko, head of the Regional Military Administration, on 5 February, during the first prisoner exchange between Ukraine and russia in 2026, residents of three communities in the oblast returned to Zhytomyr oblast. The prisoners returned from russian captivity are residents of the village of Krasnogirka, the city of Zviahel, and the city of Zhytomyr. A total of 157 military and civilians were returned to Ukraine.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia, Margus Tsahkna announced that In Zhytomyr, at the regional centre for social and psychological rehabilitation of children ‘Sunny House,’ representatives of the Estonian government inspected the new shelter. The premises were built with money from the Estonian International Development Centre, a state fund that organises and coordinates the country’s participation in international cooperation.

Sumy oblast

Border guard aerial reconnaissance operators of the RUBpAK “Prime” unit destroyed a D-30 howitzer, vehicles, a quad bike, an armoured combat vehicle, communications equipment, electronic warfare and reconnaissance assets, as well as enemy shelters and dugouts. The enemy also sustained personnel losses.

Acting Mayor Artem Kobzar reported that at around 06:24am on 6 February, russian forces struck a multi-storey residential building in Sumy by a UAV. Approximately 11 windows, 12 balconies, and one vehicle were damaged.

Over the course of the day, from the morning of 5 February to the morning of 6 February, russian forces carried out nearly 60 attacks on 40 settlements across 18 territorial communities of the oblast. The highest number of attacks was recorded in Sumy and Shostka regions. The enemy used mortars, artillery, MLRS, FPV drones, UAVs, and guided aerial bombs. Over the day, air raid alerts in the oblast lasted for 21 hours and 6 minutes.

Civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged or destroyed:

  • In Berezivka community, a passenger vehicle was damaged;
  • In Znob-Novhorodske community, a passenger vehicle was damaged;
  • In Shostka community, residential buildings, outbuildings, administrative and non-residential premises, and civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged;
  • In Shalyhyne community, private residential houses were destroyed;
  • In Esman community, a private residential house and outbuildings were destroyed;
  • In Hlukhiv community, civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged;
  • In Mykolaivka settlement community, private residential houses, outbuildings, and non-residential premises were damaged;
  • In te Krasnopillia community, a private passenger vehicle was damaged;
  • In Velyka Pysarivka community, a vehicle belonging to a farming enterprise was damaged;
  • In Richky community, a private passenger vehicle was damaged;
  • In Mykolaivka rural community, a private passenger vehicle was damaged;
  • In Sumy community, a private passenger vehicle and an apartment building were damaged.

Over the course of the day, local authorities jointly with units of the State Emergency Service, the National Police Department, and civil society organisations evacuated 14 people from border communities.

 The Regional Military Administration informed that more than 430 Points of Invincibility and hundreds of heating points are operating in Sumy oblast. A total of 452 Points of Invincibility have been designated in the oblast, 434 of which are currently operational. The largest number are located in Shostka region – 164, followed by Sumy region – 91, Konotop region – 64, Okhtyrka region – 37, and Romny region – 20.

Another 20 children from Sumy oblast have departed for a two-week stay in Vietnam. The group includes children of Ukrainian defenders, children from large families, and internally displaced children. According to the Regional Military Administration, a total of 575 children from communities in Sumy oblast travelled abroad for recreation last year. Since the beginning of this year, 76 children have gone to Germany, France, and Kazakhstan.

Chernihiv oblast

Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration, said that on the morning of 6 February, russian forces attacked the border town of Semenivka by Molniia strike UAVs. As a result of the attack, an apartment building housing a shop was damaged, along with private houses.

On the night of 5 February, russian forces attacked civilian infrastructure in Novhorod-Siverskyi by a Heran strike UAV. Administrative and warehouse premises of a local enterprise were damaged. Around 15 houses were also damaged, including facades and roofs of outbuildings, and windows were shattered at a local school.

Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment informed that over the course of 5 February, russian forces attacked three border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, and Snovsk. The enemy carried out mortar shelling (three explosions) and tube artillery strikes (five explosions), and conducted FPV drone attacks (10 explosions). Seven settlements came under fire.

On 5 February, 157 Ukrainians returned home during a prisoner exchange. According to community heads and relatives, residents of Chernihiv oblast among those released include:

  • Marine infantryman Viktor Movchan from Kulikivka community, who was captured during the defence of Mariupol and spent nearly four years in captivity;
  • Ivan Roman, a native of Zaliznyi Mist village in Semenivka community, who served in the 72nd Brigade and was captured in Pavlivka near Vuhledar in autumn 2022;
  • National Guard serviceman Dmytro Yarmak from Chernihiv, who was captured on 24 February 2022 at Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant;
  • Vitalii Shpytalnyi from Borzna, a border guard and fighter of the 105th Detachment, who was captured in May 2024 after holding his position alone for three days.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

According to Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, the russian army struck the region by UAVs and guided aerial bombs. The attacks targeted Vasylkivka, Malomykhailivka, Slovianske, and Pokrovske communities. A man was killed, and a man and a woman were injured. Two private houses and an outbuilding caught fire. Two private houses were destroyed, while five other homes, apartment buildings, and a garage were damaged. The occupiers continued shelling the regional centre and Pokrovske rural community by artillery and drones. Three private houses, an outbuilding, a canopy, and a gas pipeline were damaged.

The enemy also attacked the region by drones and artillery, targeting Nikopol, Marhanets, Myrove, Pokrovske rural, and Chervonohryhorivka communities. Twelve private houses, five outbuildings, a greenhouse, a garage, enterprises, equipment, vehicles, gas pipelines, and a power line were damaged. The occupiers struck Vasylkivka and Mykolaivka communities by UAVs. A 38-year-old man was injured. A fire broke out, and an enterprise, a vehicle, and an excavator were damaged. According to updated information, four people were injured as a result of the strike on Pokrovske community.

Kirovohrad oblast

A serviceman from Vinnytsia oblast, Serhii Boiko, was released from russian captivity after spending almost four years in detention.

Kirovohrad oblast

Andrii Raikovych, Head of Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration, reported that the occupiers carried out an attack on the oblast using missiles and strike drones. In one community of Oleksandriia region, residential buildings and power lines was damaged.

Poltava oblast

Yaroslav Mykhailov, a serviceman from Poltava oblast, was released from russian captivity. During the prisoner exchange on 5 February, Yaroslav Mykhailov, a resident of Kremenchuk, returned home. He served in Marine Corps, defended Mariupol, and was captured by russian forces after being wounded in 2022.

Cherkasy oblast

Ihor Taburets, Head of Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, informed that in Cherkasy oblast, air defence forces shot down four russian UAVs overnight.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration reported that yesterday, 5 February, the occupiers carried out 517 strikes on 32 settlements. russian troops conducted 24 air strikes on Barvinivka, Rizdvianka, Shevchenkivske, Lisne, Liubytske, Zelena Dibrova, Zaliznychne, Novoandriivka, Verkhnia Tersa, Huliaipilske, Charivne, Hirske, Kopani, Vozdvyzhivka, and Dolynka. 346 UAVs of various types (mostly FPV drones) attacked Zaporizhzhia, Kushuhum, Novomykolaivka, Rozumivka, Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Lukianivske, Pavlivka, Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Zaliznychne, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Bilohiria, Zelene, and Sviatopetrivka. Five MLRS strikes hit Zaliznychne, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, Huliaipilske, and Pryluky. 142 artillery strikes targeted Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Lukianivske, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Bilohiria, Zelene, Dobropillia, and Pryluky. Authorities received 85 reports of damage to homes, vehicles, and infrastructure facilities. Two people were killed and five were injured as a result of enemy attacks on Zaporizhzhia city and Zaporizhzhia region.

In the morning report, the General Staff said that over the past day, 5 February, there were 23 enemy attacks in the areas of Huliaipole, Myrne, Dobropillia, Zaliznychne, Pryluky, Varvarivka, Sviatopetrivka, and Zelene towards Huliaipole. Ukrainian defenders repelled one enemy attack near Prymorske towards Orikhiv.

Mykolaiv oblast

Two explosions were heard in Mykolaiv on the morning of 6 February — at 08:51 and 09:13. An air raid alert in Mykolaiv region was announced at 08:40. The Air Force reported russian attack drones were heading toward the regional center. The all-clear in the region was given at 09:47.

According to Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, during the night and morning of 6 February, 15 Shahed 131/136 attack drones and various decoy drones were shot down or suppressed over Mykolaiv oblast.

Yesterday, the enemy attacked Ochakiv, Kutsurub, and Vesnianka communities seven times with FPV drones and once with a Molniya-type attack drone. A warehouse building, a garage, and a fire-rescue service truck in Mykolaiv region were damaged. Another strike in the village of Kutsurub damaged the roof of a private house. There were no casualties.

The head of Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitalii Kim, reported that among those released from captivity yesterday were 25 residents of Mykolaiv oblast. More than 150 people were returned to Ukraine during the prisoner exchange with russia on 5 February.

Odesa oblast

Today, 6 February, at around 05:00 in Odesa, a car exploded nearby. As a result of the incident, the driver of the car, an active serviceman, was killed. The Security Service of Ukraine classified the car explosion as a terrorist act and opened a criminal investigation.

It became known that during the latest exchange of prisoners of war between Ukraine and russia, three residents of Odesa oblast — Dmytro Shalar, Vladyslav Latii, and Volodymyr Kosterin — were returned. Dmytro Shalar was taken captive at the age of 19 during the defense of Mariupol.

Kherson oblast

Three people sought medical assistance after being injured in russian attacks. On 4 February, russian forces attacked a car with a drone in Dniprovskyi district of Kherson, as a result of which a 75-year-old Kherson resident sustained a blast injury. On 3 February, russians attacked a house in the settlement of Rozlyv in Bilozerka community with an attack drone. A 60-year-old woman and a 65-year-old man were diagnosed with blast injuries and concussions.

Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that on 6 February, around 11:00, russian forces attacked a bus with a UAV in Dniprovskyi district of Kherson. The 39-year-old bus driver was injured.

At approximately 09:00, russian occupiers struck Korabelnyi district of Kherson. A 65-year-old man who was outside sustained a blast injury and shrapnel wounds to his legs.

Police of Kherson oblast reported that yesterday, 5 February, the enemy attacked Kherson, Prydniprovske, Antonivka, Sofiivka, Kizomys, Naddniprianske, Pravdyne, Chornobaivka, Zymivnyk, Yantarne, Stanislav, Shyroka Balka, Oleksandrivka, Novooleksandrivka, Novoraivsk, Kozatske, and Vesele. As a result of russian shelling, an apartment building, eight private houses, a critical infrastructure facility, and a police service vehicle were damaged. One person was injured as a result of russian aggression.

In the morning report, the General Staff said that on 5 February, the enemy carried out one unsuccessful offensive action towards Kherson.

As part of a prisoner exchange with russia on 5 February, 2026, a resident of Kherson oblast, Volodymyr Khorolskyi, returned home. According to Mylove Rural Military Administration, the occupiers abducted Volodymyr from his home on 3 July, 2022. He spent more than three years in russian captivity.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

Representatives of the RMA, together with the Minister of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine Natalia Kalmykova, inspected the progress of the construction of a state veterans’ space in Lutsk. This project is being implemented with co-financing from the state and local budgets.

Zakarpattia oblast

The oblast consistently implements a veteran policy. During a meeting of the specialized Coordination Headquarters in the RMA, they summed up the results of the past year and identified key priorities for 2026. Among them are scaling up the institute of support specialists, developing a network of veteran spaces, providing housing, supporting public initiatives and families of missing persons and prisoners. The key focus remains unchanged: so that every veteran knows where to turn and feels real support at all stages of returning to civilian life.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Ivano-Frankivsk community sent 10 AUTEL EVO MAX 4T quadcopters and 20 DJI Mavic 4 Pro quadcopters worth over UAH 3.3m to the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade. The equipment was purchased within the framework of the regional program to support military formations of the Carpathian region.

Lviv oblast

After the prisoner exchange, Senior Sergeant Ivan Kucher, Resident of Zolochivregion, from Krasne, serviceman of the National Guard of Ukraine, returns home. He served in the special forces battalion Donbas. He has been in enemy captivity since April 2022.

Nazar Daletsky, resident of the village of Velykyi Doroshiv, Kulykiv community, is also returning home after the exchange. He served in the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo. In May 2022, Nazar stopped communicating. At first, the soldier was listed as missing. Later, the family reported that he was killed in Kupiansky region, Kharkiv oblast, on 25 September, 2022 – on his birthday.

At around 10 am, a teacher at Lviv School №60 found an object resembling a grenade on the premises. The teacher immediately reported the dangerous find to law enforcement. Students and school staff were quickly evacuated. Police, dog handlers and other relevant services immediately arrived at the scene. The object was seized and a thorough examination of the school’s territory and premises was conducted. Law enforcement will investigate where this object came from. As the police commented, the find turned out to be the casing of an outdated F-1 grenade without explosives.

Rivne oblast

An audit of Inviolability Points is underway in Rivne oblast. Currently, there are 450 such locations operating in the region, 2 autonomous cars on the railway, and the rest are ready to open if necessary.

Ternopil oblast

Ternopil RMA signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Folke Bernadotte Academy (FBA). During the meeting, they discussed opportunities to strengthen the region’s capacity to implement policies necessary for Ukraine’s accession to the EU.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Khmelnytskyi City Council has allocated funds to assist the families of prisoners. The total amount of assistance is almost UAH 2.3m.

Chernivtsi oblast

The RMA met with a delegation from the Embassy of the Republic of Latvia in Ukraine, led by Andrejs Pildegovichs, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary. Ilya Khoch, Honorary Consul of Latvia in Chernivtsi, also joined the conversation. They discussed energy security, support for displaced people and life in wartime.

The Netherlands will provide transformers and €23m to support the Ukrainian energy sector.

Estonia will close 2 road crossings on its border with russia to night traffic for 3 months. Starting from 24 February, the Luhamaa and Koidula road border crossings will be closed to all types of transport at night and will operate for 12 hours during the day.
