Currently, the enemy has attacked the positions of the Defence Forces 71 times.
Russian artillery shelling has affected the border areas of our country, in particular the settlements of Bobylivka, Ryzivka, and Rohizne in Sumy oblast. The enemy launched an air strike with a guided bomb on Ryzivka.
Towards North Slobozhanske and Kursk, the enemy carried out 55 shellings, including one with a multiple launch rocket system.
Towards South Slobozhanske, the Ukrainian military repelled three enemy assaults in Prylipka and Obukhivka.
One battle with the enemy continues towards Kupiansk in Pishchane.
Towards Lyman, Ukrainian units repelled five enemy attacks. Two battles are still ongoing. The enemy attacked in Novoselivka and in the direction of the settlements of Drobysheve and Lyman.
Towards Sloviansk, Ukrainian soldiers repelled four enemy attacks — the occupiers’ units tried to advance in the areas of Serebrianka, Dronivka and Siversk, and another battle is still ongoing.
The enemy did not conduct any offensive operations towards Kramatorsk.
Towards Kostiantynivka, russian occupiers attempted to storm the positions of our defenders 11 times near the settlements of Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pleshchiivka, Kleban-Byk, and towards Kostiantynivka, Novopavlivka, Ivanopil, and Sofiivka. Ukrainian units repelled nine attacks, and two more clashes are still ongoing.
Towards Pokrovsk, since the beginning of the day, the occupiers have carried out 25 attacks on the positions of our defenders in the areas of the settlements of Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetsk, Filiia, and in the directions of the settlements of Hryshyne and Novopavlivka. Holding back the enemy’s advance, Ukrainian defenders have already repelled 19 attacks, and fighting continues.
Towards Oleksandrivka, the invaders have made nine attempts to advance on the positions of Ukrainian troops near the settlements of Yalta, Sichneve, Sosnivka, Verbove, Zlahoda, Pryvilne, Rybne, and in the direction of Oleksiivka. The enemy launched an air strike on Havrylivka.
Towards Huliaipole, the enemy carried out eight assaults, and Ukrainian defenders repelled attacks in the directions of Huliaipole and Varvarivka. One battle is ongoing. The enemy launched air strikes on Huliaipole and Zaliznychne.
Towards Orikhiv, the enemy launched three attacks in the direction of Novoandriivka, Pavlivka, and in the Shcherbaky.
Towards Kherson one unsuccessful attempt by the enemy to approach the positions of Ukrainian units in Antonivka was recorded.
Ukraine and Germany will launch the first joint production of combat drones for the Ukrainian Defence Forces. The enterprise will be located in Germany and will operate according to NATO standards. This was reported by the German company Quantum Systems.
For the first time in history, Sub Sea Baby underwater drones blew up a Russian 636.3 Varshavianka-class submarine (classified as Kilo by NATO). As a result of the explosion, the submarine suffered critical damage and was effectively put out of action. There were four Kalibr cruise missile launchers on board. The cost of a Varshavianka-class submarine is about $400m.
Recent war events in the east of Ukraine
Since the beginning of 2025, more than 360 companies registered in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts have suspended their activities. In total, more than 11,000 companies have closed in Ukraine during this period.
Kharkiv oblast
Over the past day, 158 combat clashes were recorded.
Towards Southern Slobozhanske, 11 combat clashes took place yesterday near Synelnykove, Prylipka, Vovchansk and Kolodiazne.
Towards Kupiansk, three attacks by the occupiers took place over the past day. The defence forces repelled the enemy’s assault actions towards Petropavlivka and Pishchane.
Over the past week, 1,214 combat clashes took place on the front line.
The 16th Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informed that on 14 December, Ukrainian defence forces destroyed six russian reconnaissance UAVs with a total value of $1.08m in Kharkiv oblast — four Zala (worth $70,000 each) and two Skat (worth $400,000 each). The soldiers also destroyed two russian military personnel near Dvorichanske and hit a tank with two FPV drones. In total, since the start of combat operations, the Iron Brigade’s drone operators have destroyed about 130 enemy drones.
Oleksandr Kulik, Derhachi Military Administration spokesman, said that at around 2:20pm, two KAB strikes were recorded in Bezruky, and a third strike was recorded in an open area between Derhachi and Semenivka. Two houses were damaged in Bezruky as a result of the strikes. No information about casualties has been received.
Over the past day, 11 settlements were hit by enemy strikes.
There were no casualties as a result of the shelling.
In Myrne, Shevchenkove community, a 75-year-old man was killed by an unknown device.
The enemy actively used various types of weapons in the oblast:

Civil infrastructure facilities were damaged and destroyed:
▪️in Bohodukhiv region, power lines were damaged (Pavlivka village), a truck with a trailer was damaged (Lutivka village);
▪️in Kupiansk region, a civilian enterprise (Velykyi Burluk village) and a car (Shevchenkove village) were damaged;
▪️in Izium region, the windows of an apartment building, a car, and a farm building (Oskil village) were damaged;
▪️in Chuhuiv region, a private house was damaged (village of Shevchenkove Pershe).
Over the past week, at least 42 settlements, including the city of Kharkiv, have been hit by enemy strikes.
Between 8 and 14 December, seven people were killed as a result of russian strikes on the Kharkiv region: six due to shelling and one due to an explosion. Another 24 people were affected, 15 of whom were injured and nine suffered acute stress reactions. Data on the dead and wounded came from the police, the prosecutor’s office, the State Emergency Service, and local administrations.
The enemy actively used various types of weapons in Kharkiv oblast:

The civilian infrastructure of Kharkiv region suffered the most damage, where the enemy damaged an apartment building, 10 private houses, power lines, a petrol station, and 6 cars.
Significant damage was caused in Bohodukhiv region: six private houses, a civilian enterprise, power lines, a café, three farm buildings, two cars, a garage, and a truck with a trailer.
In Kharkiv, the enemy damaged an administrative building.
Subdivisions of the State Emergency Service defused 258 enemy munitions. The transit evacuation point in Lozova received 78 people during the day. Forty-four people remained. A total of 14,794 people have been registered at the point since it began operating.
The pace of evacuation from Kupiansk region has slowed due to reports of the Defence Forces’ successes in this area — some residents are refusing to leave, considering the situation to be safer. According to Oleksandr Humanuk, head of the Troianda na rutsi (Rose on the hand) NGO, volunteers have evacuated about five teenagers aged 12-16 since the beginning of December, but the danger remains high due to the active use of drones by the russians. Most of those evacuated want to stay closer to home — in the relatively safer communities of Kupiansk or Kharkiv — while those who have lost their homes agree to further evacuation to other regions.
Veteran and adaptive sports are developing in Ukraine as part of rehabilitation and a return to active life. On 14 December, the first Ukrainian Amputee Football Championship ended: Kharkiv team Metalist 1925 Nezlamni, which includes war veterans, was among the top five. The championship is of particular importance for frontline regions, particularly Kharkiv, where fighting continues.
UZ has expanded its network of trains to the EU to 17 routes. In particular, the Kharkiv-Przemyśl train has convenient connections to Germany, the Czech Republic and Austria since 14 December.
Donetsk oblast
According to the morning report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on 14 December, Russian occupiers launched the most attacks towards Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka.
Towards Pokrovsk, russian occupiers attacked 47 times in the areas of Shakhove, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Rodynske, and Novopavlivka.
Towards Kostiantynivka, Ukrainian defenders repelled 24 russian attacks near Oleksandro-Shultyne, Shcherbinivka, Pleshchiivka, Ivanopil, Yablunivka, and Sofiivka.
In addition, russian occupiers attacked the positions of the Defence Forces 13 times towards Lyman, seven times towards Sloviansk and once towards Kramatorsk.
Serhii Horbunov, Head of Kostiantynivka Military Administration, reported that one person was wounded as a result of shelling in Kostiantynivka on 15 December. Russian troops attacked the city with barrel artillery.
As of 14 December, the police recorded 1,873 enemy strikes. Ten settlements were under fire.
28 civilian objects were destroyed, including eight residential buildings.
As a result of enemy attacks in Druzhkivka, one person was killed and another was wounded. Four apartment buildings and two private houses, an educational institution, and two cars were damaged.
The enemy struck Serhiivka with drones, wounding a civilian and damaging vehicles.
Two civilians were injured in the village of Vodianske, Pokrovsk region.
The russians struck Sloviansk with three KAB-250 bombs, damaging administrative buildings and a car.
A post office was destroyed in Sviatohirsk by an FPV drone strike.
Russian troops fired UAVs at Kramatorsk, damaging an apartment building and non-residential premises.
In Mykolaivka, an infrastructure facility was damaged.
The White Angel crew evacuated more than 700 people from Kramatorsk region in the autumn. Most of those evacuated were elderly and mobility-impaired people. Most people did not dare to leave their homes until the very last moment, but constant shelling and the deaths of their acquaintances forced them to change their minds. During one of the flights, police officers rescued a dog that had become entangled in an anti-drone net.
Writer Viktoriia Amelina, who died during a rocket attack on Kramatorsk, was posthumously recognised as an honorary citizen of the French city of Lyon. This status is awarded annually to human rights defenders and activists from around the world on Human Rights Day (10 December).
In occupied Mariupol, russian invaders plan to build four more residential buildings on the site of destroyed houses and sell apartments on mortgage. According to Mariupol City Council, the construction will be carried out by russian companies, and the land for the projects was allocated by order of the leader of the so-called “dpr”. The city council emphasises that instead of the promised compensation housing for Mariupol residents, the occupiers are promoting mortgage-backed high-rise buildings, designed primarily for russian citizens with the aim of Russifying the city, where more than 50% of apartment buildings and more than 38,000 private houses were destroyed or damaged during russian shelling.
Luhansk oblast
Yesterday the enemy carried out 20 assaults towards Lyman and Sloviansk, used barrel artillery 12 times, and UAVs and FPV drones 17 times. In particular, Novoiehorivka came under fire, with attacks recorded near eight settlements in total.
In occupied Luhansk, the Voin centre offers minors aged 14-18 additional points for admission to 27 universities in the russian Federation for completing a military training course. In Siverskodonetsk, the occupying authorities plan to start the heating season on 30 December, despite the fact that the heating system has been under repair for 3.5 years and only some buildings currently have heating.
According toLuhansk Regional Military Administration, in Siverskodonetsk, the occupying authorities promise to start the heating season on 30 December. By this date, the connection of apartment buildings to the centralised heating system is supposed to be completed. Currently, only a few buildings have heating.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
Mykola Kalashnyk, Head of Kyiv Regional Military Administration, reported on a meeting with Thomas Lund-Sørensen, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Denmark to Ukraine. In addition to thanking Denmark for its comprehensive support to Ukraine, Kalashnyk commented on the security situation in Kyiv oblast and challenges in the energy sector due to russian attacks on critical infrastructure. Areas of cooperation were also discussed, including support for internally displaced persons, the development of rehabilitation centres, and the modernisation of water supply.
Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported that the forum “Your Point of Influence” brought together representatives of the Youth Council at Kyiv Regional Military Administration, local youth councils, centres and spaces, as well as active young people from communities in the oblast. The event became a platform for discussing current challenges, exchanging experiences, and developing a vision for the development of youth policy in Kyiv oblast for 2026–2027.
Mykola Kalashnyk reported on the progress of construction of a veterans’ space in Bucha, a project to support veterans and their families. The facility is being implemented as part of a state programme funded by the state, regional and local budgets and provides for the comprehensive rehabilitation and adaptation of defenders. The space will consist of a sports block and an area for psychological and social support and joint work, as well as an inclusive adjacent area for recreation and recovery. Construction is under constant supervision, as such spaces are critically needed for more than 80,000 veterans in Kyiv oblast, 13 of whom have disabilities as a result of the war.
Kyiv City Military Administration reported on another meeting of the working group on assistance to Kyiv residents affected by russian attacks. The meeting focused on building up a reserve of construction materials and creating hubs on the right and left banks for rapid response. The expansion of the list of materials and tools to be stored in the reserve was considered. The process of standardising the installation of modular shelters and the restoration of damaged housing was also discussed.
Zhytomyr oblast
According to Vitalii Bunechko, Head of Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration, a solemn ceremony of allegiance to Ukraine was held in Berdychiv for students of the new military lyceum. The institution trains students in grades 9–11 who have consciously chosen military service, providing them with the necessary knowledge, skills, and ranks.
At the “Veteran Care Space” in Zhytomyr, students of the art and technical creativity institution met with Ukrainian defenders undergoing rehabilitation. The students expressed their support and gratitude to the soldiers through artistic performances by their amateur groups.
The Transparent Office hosted a meeting between Danylo Zelinskyi, Ambassador for Accessibility, and specialists working with people with reduced mobility. The lecture-training event was dedicated to accessibility, proper communication, and creating a friendly space for everyone.
The Ministry of Veterans Affairs continues the programme of monetary compensation for housing rental for veterans, female veterans and their families in accordance with CMU Resolution No. 252. It aims to ensure safe and comfortable living conditions in the event of loss of housing or forced relocation.
In Zhytomyr oblast, 704 resilience centres have been set up, of which 358 are stationary, 16 are mobile, and 280 are responsible businesses. They operate in communities, educational and medical institutions, the State Emergency Service, the police and Ukrzaliznytsia, and are ready to work in the absence of electricity and heat.
Sumy oblast
As a result of russian shelling of the oblast, there are one dead and one wounded among civilians.
In Velyka Pysarivka community, a 62-year-old man was killed by an FPV drone strike.
In Sumy community, a 62-year-old man was wounded by an enemy drone strike.
During the day, from the morning of 14 December to the morning of 15 December 2025, russian troops carried out 100 shellings on 32 settlements in 16 territorial communities of the oblast. The most shelling was recorded in Sumy and Shostka regions.
The enemy actively used guided aerial bombs, UAVs, UAV-dropped VOGs, and MLRS:
▪️more than 10 KAB strikes;
▪️more than 10 UAV-dropped VOGs;
▪️up to 10 MLRS strikes;
▪️15 UAV strikes.
The enemy also carried out strikes with FPV drones on the territory of Sumy oblast.

▪️a private residential building was destroyed in the Richky community;
▪️In Druzhba community, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged.
▪️In Mykolaivka rural community, a private home was damaged.
▪️In Znob-Novhorodske community, a home fence was damaged.
▪️A private residential building was destroyed in Hlukhiv community.
▪️A civilian infrastructure facility was damaged in Shostka community, and there was damage in the residential sector.
The air raid alert in the ]oblast lasted 20 hours and 37 minutes during the day.
Chernihiv oblast
On 14 December, russian troops attacked Chernihiv oblast with drones, striking a grain storage and an energy facility in the village of Novhorod-Siverskyi region. In total, 61 attacks and 96 explosions were recorded during the day, leaving several thousand subscribers without electricity; the fire at the grain storage facility was extinguished, and the drone’s warhead did not detonate.
On 13 December, Mena community opened the Alley of Hope, dedicated to servicemen who are considered missing in action during the russian-Ukrainian war. Currently, there are 32 portraits on the Alley, and an electronic version has also been created on the city council’s website. Similar memorial sites have already been opened in other communities — in Honcharivka, Nizhyn, and Pryluky.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Nikopol region. In the evening, the enemy shelled Marhanets community by MLRS. According to updated information, 3 people were injured as a result of yesterday’s attack in Marhanets community: men aged 19 and 55, and a 51-year-old woman. All will receive outpatient treatment.
Synelnykove region. The occupiers struck Mykolaivka community by a UAV. 2 men aged 42 and 29 were injured. Fires broke out and infrastructure was damaged.
Kamianske region. Piatykhatky community was also targeted by a UAV attack. Fires occurred and infrastructure was damaged.
Pavlohrad region. UAVs attacked Pavlohrad city.
Air defense forces destroyed 22 enemy UAVs.
During the day, the enemy carried out 40 attacks, striking 4 regions of the oblast.
Nikopol region. In Chervonohryhorivka community, a 53-year-old man was killed. Overall, the enemy attacked the regional centre, Myrove, Marhanets, Pokrovske and Chervonohryhorivka communities by artillery and drones. 3 private houses, vehicles, a garage, a canopy, an outbuilding, a power line and infrastructure were damaged.
Synelnykove region. The occupiers struck Mykolaivka and Pokrovske communities by UAVs. Fires broke out; a vehicle, an agricultural enterprise and power lines were destroyed or damaged.
Kryvyi Rih region. Hrushivka community came under drone attack. A shop was damaged.
Pavlohrad region. UAV strikes targeted Pavlohrad and Ternivka, damaging infrastructure.
Vinnytsia oblast
The deaths of 12 defenders from Vinnytsia oblast have been confirmed. They are: Vadym Kazmiruk, Oleksandr Poblotskyi, Oleksandr Khomiuk, Denys Tkachuk, Denys Kuzmeniuk, Serhii Rostkivskyi, Vasyl Sapozhnik, Volodymyr Nikitin, Yaroslav Shkolnyk, Vitalii Ksenchyn, Anton Starosiek and Oleksii Chornonos.
Kirovohrad oblast
Kropyvnytskyi City Council reported the deaths of 4 fallen Heroes.
Vladyslav Hovor was killed on 29 July 2024 while carrying out a combat mission near Paraskoviivka village, Pokrovsk region, Donetsk oblast. He was 28 years old.
Mykola Bondarenko was killed on 27 November 2024 while carrying out a mission near Yelyzavetivka village, Pokrovsk region, Donetsk oblast. He was 42 years old.
Andrii Petriv, a 51-year-old defender, fought his last battle on 5 December near Hryshyne village, Pokrovsk region, Donetsk oblast.
Viktor Krasiuk was killed on 10 December while performing his military service duties. The captain was 51 years old.
Cherkasy oblast
In Uman community, 15 December was declared a day of mourning following the death of defender Serhii Derman. He died on 24 November in Chernihiv oblast due to a deterioration in his health while serving in the Armed Forces.

Zaporizhzhia oblast
Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration reported that yesterday, 14 December, the occupiers carried out 850 strikes on 23 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. russian forces conducted seven airstrikes on Rozumivka, Novoboikivske, Huliaipole, and Prydorozhne. 567 UAVs of various types (mostly FPV drones) attacked Zaporizhzhia, Kushuhum, Chervonodniprovka, Liubytske, Mariivka, Kanivske, Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Plavni, Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Mali Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Bilohiria, Zelene, Solodke, and Varvarivka. Four MLRS strikes were carried out on the territory of Mali Shcherbaky, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, and Varvarivka. 272 artillery strikes hit Chervonodniprovka, Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Plavni, Huliaipole, Mali Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Zelene, Solodke, and Varvarivka. There were 104 reports of damage to homes, vehicles, and infrastructure facilities. Fourteen people were injured as a result of enemy strikes on Zaporizhzhia.
According to the General Staff, as of 16:00 on 14 December, the enemy carried out eight assault actions, and Ukrainian defenders repelled attacks toward Huliaipole and Varvarivka. One combat engagement is ongoing. The russian forces launched three attacks in the vicinity of Novoandriivka, Pavlivka, Shcherbaky, towards Orikhiv.
Mykolaiv oblast
According to information from Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, yesterday, 14 December, the enemy attacked Ochakiv and Kutsurub communities 14 times with FPV drones. There were no casualties.
Odesa oblast
According to Odesa Regional Military Administration, as of 12pm on 15 December, energy workers restored electricity to 185 thousand consumers. As of 9am, almost all critical infrastructure facilities were restored. At the same time, more than 430,000 subscribers in the region remain without electricity. Emergency crews are working around the clock.
Kherson oblast
Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that on the morning of 15 December, russian occupiers shelled the private sector in Korablevskyi district of Kherson. A garage and a civilian car were damaged. In several houses, windows were shattered, and facades and fences were damaged by the blast wave and shell fragments.
At approximately 10am, russians shelled Bilozerka. A 66-year-old man walking down the street was hit by the attack. He sustained a blast injury and shrapnel wounds to his arms and legs.

According to Kherson RMA, on 14 December, the russian forces attacked Chornobaivka, Stanislav, Bilozerka, Beryslav, Novoraisk, Poniativka, Mykilske, Antonivka, Kizomys, Zolota Balka, Sofiivka, Dniprovske, Komyshany, Tiahynka, Urozhaine, Veletenske, Vesele, Doslidne, Dudchany, Ivanivka, Kozatske, Lvove, Mylove, Odradokamianka, Olhivka, Prydniprovske, Rozlyv, Tokarivka, Khreshchenivka, and the city of Kherson. As a result of the attacks, 5 multi-story buildings, 4 private houses, a farm, and a supermarket were damaged. Six people were injured due to russian aggression.
According to the General Staff, as of 4pm on 14 December, there was one unsuccessful enemy attempt to approach Ukrainian positions near Antonivka towards Kherson.
Over the past week, the Defense Forces destroyed over 2,600 enemy drones, which is 95% of the total number.
The head of the RMA, Oleksandr Prokudin, reported that another group of children was evacuated from the temporarily occupied left bank of Kherson oblast. These are boys and girls aged 11 to 17.
Activists of the “Yellow Ribbon” movement reported that the occupiers held a demonstration at checkpoints in the temporarily occupied Kherson oblast. Residents were given booklets with “laws” and tricolor ribbons. Refusing the russian propaganda materials was not allowed. russian forces checked whether people attached the tricolors. Those who did not were stopped and forced to tie the ribbon to their clothes or car.

Volyn oblast

Zakarpattia oblast
Uzhhorod City Council held a meeting with Oleksandr Oleksenko, Head of logistics of the First Separate Heavy Mechanized Siver Brigade. They discussed support for the military.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
The RMA held a meeting with Mr. Ma Shenkun, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Ukraine. They discussed cooperation in agriculture, tourism, education and medicine.
Lviv oblast
Radekhiv community allocated UAH 1,250,000 from the local budget. With these funds, a specialized refrigerator was purchased for the 413th Separate Regiment of the Unmanned Systems Forces RAID. The refrigerator truck is needed for logistics and cargo transportation.
Belz community collected over UAH 553,000. With these funds, 2 Volkswagen T-4 cars were purchased. The 1st, worth 220,000 UAH, was given to Mykhailo Mykhnych, serviceman from the village of Murovane, and his unit. The 2nd car, worth UAH 200,000, was sent to the 53rd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Volodymyr Monomakh.
Rivne oblast
The Veterans’ Office reported that 16 certificates for the purchase of housing were awarded to veterans from Rivne oblast.
Ternopil oblast

Special Operations Forces fighters received 14 SESAME drones and 5 laptops from Ternopil community.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
Khmelnytskyi community sent 20 MATPICE 4T quadcopters worth over UAH 3.6m to the military. The quadcopters were purchased with taxpayer funds.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, has honored Senior Sergeant Volodymyr Bodnar, Bukovyna National Guardsman who gave his life for the Motherland, with the III degree For Courage Order (posthumously).

The EU has tightened sanctions against russia. The restrictions include 12 individuals and 2 legal entities that the EU Council considers to be involved in russian hybrid operations, including disinformation.
