War in Ukraine today: latest news, 1 September 2025 (photo)

It has been the 1286  th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

The occupiers continue to assault positions of Ukrainian defenders. Since the beginning of the day, 63 combat clashes have occurred.

Border settlements have suffered from shelling from the territory of the russian Federation, including Khrinivka in Chernihiv oblast; Stara Huta, Starykove, Shalyhyne, Malushyne, Buniakyne, Zarichne in Sumy oblast. The enemy also carried out an airstrike near Khliborob.

In the Northern-Slobozhanske and Kursk directions, Ukrainian defenders repelled seven Russian attacks, with one clash ongoing. Since the beginning of the day, the enemy conducted two airstrikes, dropped a total of four guided aerial bombs, and carried out 94 artillery strikes, including two from multiple rocket launchers. Meanwhile, Ukrainian units conducted active operations and achieved success in some areas.

Our troops repelled three attacks near Hlyboke and Vovchansk towards Southern Slobozhanske.

Towards Kupiansk, the aggressor carried out six assaults near Kupiansk, Petropavlivka, and Stepova Novoselivka. One clash is still ongoing.

Towards Lyman, the enemy attacked eight times toward Karpivka, Shandryholove, Yampil, Dronivka, and Serebrianka. Currently, three clashes are ongoing.

Towards Siversk, the Defense Forces repelled two attacks, with two clashes ongoing. The occupiers attempted to advance near Hryhorivka and toward Serebrianka.

Towards Kramatorsk, the occupiers made three unsuccessful attempts to breach Ukrainian defenses toward Mykolaivka and Stupochky.

Towards Toretsk, near Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, and Rusynyi Yar, our troops repelled three enemy assaults.

Towards Pokrovsk, since the start of the day, the occupiers attempted 25 times to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions near Zapovidne, Novoekonomichne, Myroliubivka, Zvirove, Udachne, Dachne, toward Promenia, Myrnohrad, Rodynske, and Pokrovsk. The Defense Forces stopped 22 attacks and continue to resist the enemy’s pressure.

Towards Novopavlivka, the enemy attacked seven times near Zelenyi Hai, Piddubne, Shevchenko, and toward Filiia and Komyshuvakha. One clash is still ongoing.

Towards Huliaipole, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions but carried out an airstrike near Bilohiria.

Towards Orikhiv, the occupiers made an unsuccessful attempt to advance toward Plavni.

The aggressor attacked towards Kherson three times without success.

On other parts of the front, the situation has not changed significantly.


Status of Combatant (UBD) Simplification
The Ministry of Defense reported that since the beginning of the year, 71,000 servicemen have received the UBD status through a simplified procedure. The innovation allows status registration via the Unified State Register of War Veterans. Authorized representatives of military units must enter data into the register within five days of starting a combat mission, and submitted materials are processed automatically in real time. This new system supplements, rather than replaces, the existing procedure for UBD status via the special commission.

Evacuations
Oleksii Riabikin, Deputy Minister of Community and Territory Development, stated that more than 234,000 people from Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions require evacuation. From June 1 to August 29, 2025, nearly 62,000 people were evacuated from Donetsk region, including 423 people with reduced mobility and 5,000 children. Currently, almost 218,000 people require evacuation, including 1,500 people with reduced mobility and 16,500 children.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

Over the past day, 190 combat clashes were recorded.

Towards Southern Slobozhanske, our troops repelled ten enemy attacks near the settlements of Vovchansk, Hlyboke, Fiholivka, Zapadne, and Krasne Pershe.

Towards Kupiansk, the invaders carried out ten assaults yesterday. Our defenders repelled enemy offensive actions near the settlements of Synkivka, Stepova Novoselivka, and towards Novoplatonivka and Petropavlivka.

Shelling

During the past day, 11 settlements in Kharkiv region came under enemy strikes. As a result of the shelling, one person was killed and three were injured.

The Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported that an FPV drone attacked a civilian car in Podoly, Kupiansk region, around 22:30 on August 31. A 51-year-old woman was killed, and her 59-year-old husband was hospitalized.

In the village of Podoly, Kurylivka community, a 51-year-old woman was killed, and a 59-year-old man was injured;
in the village of Nechvolodivka, Kindrashivska community, a 67-year-old man was injured;
in the city of Kupiansk, a 43-year-old man was injured.

The enemy actively used various types of weapons against Kharkiv oblast:
▪️ 1 Molniya type UAV;
▪️ 3 FPV drones;
▪️ 1 UAV (type to be determined).

Civilian infrastructure was damaged and destroyed:
▪️ in Kharkiv region, a store, 2 private houses (Slatyne settlement), and 3 private houses (the villages of Prudynka and Liubanivka) were damaged;
▪️ in Kupiansk region, 2 private houses, a household building (the villages of Nechvolodivka and Osynove), and a car (Podoly) were damaged;
▪️ in Izium region, a private house (Borova settlement) was damaged.

At the intermediate transit evacuation point in Lozova, 136 people were registered over the past day. 41 people remain there.

On September 1, three new underground schools were opened in Kharkiv — in total, seven underground schools are now operating in the city, said Mayor Ihor Terekhov. About 17,000 Kharkiv schoolchildren will study in a blended learning format.

Olha Demenko, director of the city council’s education department, said that in the new academic year, 95,000 children will receive education in Kharkiv’s municipal schools, of whom 56% are currently in the city. The educational process has been organized at 18 safe locations, combining offline and online formats, where 17,000 students will study.

Starting in February 2026, new underground facilities are planned to open at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, allowing 3,500 students to attend classes in person.

Donetsk oblast

Front

The Dnipro Operational-Strategic Group of Troops reported that over the past day, russian forces attempted to break through with armored vehicles in the direction of Myrnohrad. The Defense Forces destroyed two russian IFVs and infantry groups, but part of the occupiers managed to disperse; they are being tracked down and eliminated.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the russian army increased the number of assaults near Siversk. Over the past day, the Defense Forces repelled 11 attacks near Hryhorivka and Pereizne; the day before, there had been seven clashes.

The largest number of russian assaults was recorded towards Pokrovsk — 64, with more than 20 clashes reported towards Lyman and Novopavlivka.

Shelling

Head of the Military Administration Horbunov stated that at night, the russian army struck Kostiantynivka twice — with a drone and a FAB-250 aerial bomb. The occupiers hit a residential high-rise and damaged a workshop of an industrial enterprise.

On August 31, police recorded 2,425 enemy strikes on the frontline and residential areas.

11 settlements came under fire: the cities of Bilytske, Bilozerske, Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka, Lyman; the urban-type settlements of Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka, Yarova; and the villages of Vesela Hora, Iverske, Kryvorizhzhia, Rivne.

According to volunteer Denys Khrystov, near Pokrovsk, russian pilots chased a civilian man and his mother with two FPV drones. They were trying to leave the city on their own and encountered the drones.

In Bilytske, russian forces dropped a KAB-250 bomb, killing a civilian. One person was injured in Rivne, Myrnohrad community, which was shelled by russian artillery. A private house was damaged.

In Iverske, Kramatorsk region, one person was killed and three were injured after the enemy struck with two Geran-2 UAVs. Two private houses were damaged.

Druzhkivka was attacked seven times by various types of drones — two civilians were injured, four apartment buildings and two private houses, a business, and a garage were damaged.

In Kostiantynivka, russia deployed five FPV drones — two civilians were injured, one apartment building and five private houses, and two household structures were damaged.

In Lyman, as a result of strikes by two FPV drones and a Molniya-2 UAV, four private houses, an educational facility, a household structure, a garage, and a civilian car were damaged. In Yarova, two private houses were damaged by artillery fire.

In addition, it was possible to confirm information about two civilians killed in Pokrovsk on August 30.

Luhansk oblast

August 31, 2014 marked the last day of the defense of Luhansk Airport. On the night of September 1, Ukrainian soldiers withdrew from the airfield. The defense of Luhansk Airport lasted 146 days, from April 8 to September 1, 2014. During this period, Ukrainian troops were completely surrounded twice.

Over the past day, the occupiers launched 42 UAVs and FPV drones toward the Armed Forces of Ukraine and carried out 11 artillery shellings. The invaders attempted to advance 29 times on the Lyman direction and 11 times on the Siversk direction.

In the 2025–2026 school year in the so-called “lpr,” 265 specialized classes will operate. However, more than a third of them — 95 classes — will have a Cossack military focus, aiming to indoctrinate boys and girls toward war from childhood. For comparison, only 20 engineering classes, 11 medical classes, and 3 emergency services (MNS) classes have been organized.

Most russian contractors responsible for the ostentatious restoration of cities destroyed by the russian army have stopped paying salaries. As a result, more than half of the laborers who came from other regions have already abandoned unfinished projects in Rubizhne and Sievierodonetsk.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

The head of the Regional Military Administration, Mykola Kalashnyk reported  that the alert in Kyiv oblast lasted throughout the night of 1 September, with damage reported in two districts. In the Fastiv district, enemy attacks damaged a company building. In Bila Tserkva district, the roof of a warehouse was damaged.

Since the start of the full-scale war, the capacity of shelters in educational institutions in Kyiv has been increased by 145,000 places. According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, today, the shelters can accommodate 360,000 people. These shelters are equipped with backup lighting, power sources, ventilation, and Wi-Fi.

Thanks to the efforts of the GEM Ukraine and Solidarity charitable foundations, new windows have been installed, the ceilings in damaged classrooms repaired, new doors and window sills installed in the corridors, and the entrance area renovated at School No. 132 in the Holosiivskyi district, which was twice attacked by russia.

In Kyiv, School No. 96 in the Svyatoshyn district, which was damaged by russian shelling, has been restored. In April, a russian missile struck 700 metres from the school. One of its students, 17-year-old Danylo, died under the rubble of a neighbouring residential building. The school building had its windows and doors blown out and the walls of the third floor damaged.

Zhytomyr oblast

In Zhytomyr oblast, debris from downed drones caused a fire in the forest. According to the Capital Forest Office branch, over the weekend, a fire broke out in the Korostyshiv Forestry. The fire covered 0.03 hectares. It was extinguished by the forestry’s own forces within half an hour.

According to the Berdychiv City Council The commander of the 139th battalion of the TRO, Arslan Annaev, returned to Berdychiv after 26 months in russian captivity. He was born in the Ochakiv district of Mykolaiv oblast, graduated from school in Crimea, and obtained his specialisation at the Zhytomyr Military Institute named after S.P. Korolyov of the National Aviation University. On 24 February 2022, the soldier voluntarily joined the Defence Forces.

Sumy oblast

Artem Kobzar, Acting Mayor of Sumy, reported that part of Sumy was left without water following a russian strike. As a result of the enemy attack and power outages, one of the city’s water intake facilities was cut off from electricity at 6:05pm on 1 September.

The Regional Military Administration informed that dozens of private houses were damaged by russian attacks in Sumy and Shostka regions. Cleanup operations are ongoing. In various neighbourhoods of Sumy, UAV attacks caused damage to civilian infrastructure and power outages.

In the evening of 1 September, russians struck the town of Horodnia by drones. Three explosions were recorded. A 14-year-old girl was injured and will be hospitalised at the regional children’s hospital. A 50-year-old local woman was also injured and hospitalised in a local hospital.

Late in the evening, an enemy drone struck a civilian car in Bilopillia community. A 41-year-old local woman was injured. She was taken to hospital with wounds and is in serious condition.

In the morning of 1 September, a retired couple riding a motorcycle with a sidecar hit an enemy mine near a village in Seredyna-Buda community, close to the border with russia. It is likely that the enemy remotely mined this section of road using a drone. The victims — a 75-year-old man and a 76-year-old woman — were hospitalised.

According to the Regional Military Administration, throughout 1 September, the enemy carried out intensive attacks on civilian infrastructure in Sumy oblast, with strikes recorded in Sumy, Richky, Vorozhba, Bilopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Shalyhyne, and Druzhba communities. One enemy drone struck a civilian car, injuring the driver. In total, seven civilians were wounded and are receiving the necessary medical assistance.

From the morning of 31 August to the morning of 1 September 2025, russian forces carried out more than 150 attacks on 49 settlements in 18 territorial communities of the oblast. The highest number of strikes was recorded in Sumy and Shostka regions.

The enemy actively used guided aerial bombs (nearly 30 strikes), dropped VOG grenades from UAVs (35 strikes), and also carried out FPV-drone strikes, UAV strikes, and rocket strikes (NURS).

The consequences of russian strikes in Sumy oblast as of the morning of 1 September:

  • In Druzhba community, a man born in 1961 was injured in a drone strike;

  • In Bilopillia community, a woman born in 1984 was injured in a UAV attack. Non-residential buildings, residential houses, apartment blocks, a farm building, and a car were also damaged;

  • In Znob-Novhorodske community, a car was damaged;

  • In Sumy community, private houses and a car were damaged;

  • In Seredyna-Buda community, residential houses, an administrative building, and a farm building were damaged;

  • In Bilopillia community;

  • In Shalyhyne community, a residential house was damaged;

  • In Krasnopillia community, a private residential house was damaged;

  • In Novoslobidske community, a private residential house was damaged;

  • In Shostka community, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged.

Chernihiv oblast

 The Regional Military Administration reported that the enemy struck the town of Horodnia in Chernihiv oblast by drones. A 14-year-old girl was injured and hospitalised in the regional children’s hospital. A 50-year-old local woman was also injured and taken to a local hospital. Several private houses were damaged.

Northern Forestry Office informed that in Horodnia forestry unit, on the night of 1 September, a russian drone hit a warehouse, damaging a truck crane.

According to the Department of Civil Protection and Defence Work of the Regional Military Administration, as a result of russian attacks on 31 August, houses caught fire in two border villages of Semenivka community. One FPV-drone explosion occurred near Arkhipivka village, while another non-residential house fire was caused by a UAV-dropped explosive near Karpovychi village.

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the RMA, said that in Semenivka, a 40-year-old man was injured in a russian FPV-drone strike on 31 August. He refused hospitalisation.

Chernihiv Border Detachment reported that during 1 September, russian forces attacked two border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Semenivka and Snovsk. The enemy carried out strikes by FPV-drones (15 explosions) and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (45 explosions). Ten settlements came under enemy fire.

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the RMA, informed that forty-nine settlements in the oblast came under russian attack last week. Over this period, 307 attacks and 609 explosions were recorded.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Air defence units were active in the oblast, shooting down 3 enemy drones.

The russian forces attacked Nikopol and Synelnykove regions. From evening until morning, the occupiers shelled Nikopol region by artillery and drones, targeting the regional centre, Pokrov, Myrove and Marhanets communities. In Pokrov community, 3 private houses and a power line were damaged. According to updated information, evening attacks on Nikopol caused another fire and damaged 2 private houses and a canopy. In Synelnykove region, a drone strike on Pokrov community caused a fire and damaged a farm.

Later in the day, Nikopol, Kryvyi Rih and Synelnykove regions. In Synelnykove region, the occupiers killed 2 people and injured 2. Strikes targeted Pokrov, Malomykhailivka and Sloviansk communities, damaging 3 private houses, farm buildings and a tractor. According to updated reports, 1 man was killed in a nighttime attack on Pokrov community. A private house and 5 cars were damaged. Nikopol region was again hit by artillery and drones. The regional centre, Pokrov, Chervonohryhorivka, Myrove and Marhanets communities came under attack. In Nikopol, 2 men aged 62 and 72 were injured and received medical assistance. 9 private houses, 2 outbuildings, infrastructure facilities and a power line were damaged. In Kryvyi Rih region, the occupiers attacked Zelenodolsk community by a drone, sparking a fire.

Vinnytsia oblast

The 456th Transport Aviation Brigade named after Dmytro Maiboroda informed that on the occasion of the Day of Aviation of Ukraine, the Commander of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Anatolii Kryvonozhko, awarded the commander and servicemen of the brigade who guard the skies over the country every day.

Also, servicemen of the 5th Battalion of the 120th Territorial Defence Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine received awards from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Kirovohrad oblast

Serhii Kolisnyk from Oleksandriia community was killed in Dnipropetrovsk oblast. The 36-year-old soldier was killed on 29 August near Berezove village.

In Novoukrainka, a memorial ceremony was held for Volodymyr Anoshkin, who was killed in Kherson oblast. He was killed on 26 August 2025, while performing a combat mission near Dudchany village.

Poltava oblast

In Poltava oblast, a memorial ceremony will be held for soldier Viktor Svynarenko from Reshetylivka community, whose death was confirmed through DNA testing. He was killed on 19 March 2023, in Donetsk oblast.

On 1 September, Poltava paid tribute to 2 servicemen – Serhii Bohuta and Serhii Hrechka. Serhiy Bohuta was killed on 21 August 2025, while on assignment in Dnipropetrovsk oblast and Serhiy Hrechka killed on 23 August 2025, while on assignment in Donetsk oblast.

Cherkasy oblast

A memorial plaque was unveiled at Uman Gymnasium №8 to honour its graduate, Hero of Ukraine, platoon commander and former mayor of Uman, Oleksandr Tsebrii. He was killed on 24 July 2024, during combat near Novodonetske in Donetsk oblast. The plaque was unveiled during a school assembly on 1 September.

In Cherkasy, a memorial ceremony was held for soldier Serhii Snisarenko. He was killed while performing a combat mission near Donetsk oblast as a result of artillery shelling, suffering fatal injuries.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Today, 1 September, russian forces struck the village of Omelnyk in Polohy region with guided aerial bombs. As a result of the attack, a married couple was killed.

Yesterday, 31 August, the occupiers launched 591 strikes on 20 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. russian forces launched 6 airstrikes on Huliaipole, Omelnyk, Poltavka, Malynivka, Bilohiria, and Uspenivka. 432 UAVs of various types (mostly FPV) attacked Komyshuvakha, Bilenke, Kamiane, Chervonodniprovka, Plavni, Prymorske, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Yurkivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Olhivske, and Preobrazhenka. Three MLRS attacks hit Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, and Mala Tokmachka. 150 artillery strikes targeted Plavni, Prymorske, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Charivne. There were 57 reports of damage to private houses, apartments, cars, farm buildings, and infrastructure facilities. One person was injured as a result of an enemy attack on the Polohy region.

According to the General Staff, as of 4pm on 1 September, the occupiers attempted unsuccessfully to advance toward the settlement of Plavni. Over the past day, 31 August, Ukraine’s Defense Forces repelled one russian attack towards Orikhiv.

An underground school was opened in Pavlivske community. This is the tenth safe educational space in the region, where children can study even during air raid alerts. The school is designed for 200 students, and currently 152 children are studying there. According to Zaporizhzhia regional governor Ivan Fedorov, negotiations are underway with heads of neighboring communities to include more children in offline learning. The school will be able to accommodate up to 400 students in two shifts.

Mykolaiv oblast

Yesterday, 31 August, the enemy attacked Kutsurub community six times with FPV drones. As a result of one of the attacks, a private house was damaged in the village of Dmytrivka. Also yesterday, 31 August, at 17:20, the enemy struck the Halytsynove community with an FPV drone, damaging a car and a greenhouse of a private house in the village of Lupareve. In addition, during the day on 31 August and in the morning of 1 September, the enemy attacked the city of Ochakiv four times with FPV drones. No casualties were reported.

Odesa oblast

As a result of the russian drone attack on Odesa region on the night of 31 August 31, energy facilities were damaged. As of the morning of 1 September, DTEK specialists restored power supply to critical infrastructure facilities. Over the day, power engineers returned electricity to 4,423 households. Currently, 15 DTEK teams are working to restore the power supply.

According to Viktor Lobach, head of Ivanivka village, as a result of the russian strike on a Ukrainian reconnaissance ship on 28 August, 24-year-old senior sailor of the Ukrainian Navy Dmytro Andriiechko from the village of Malynivka, Ivanivka community in Odesa oblast, was killed.

Kherson oblast

A resident of Bilozerka went to the hospital after being injured in a russian shelling the previous morning. The 62-year-old man was diagnosed with blast trauma, concussion, and a brain contusion.

A resident of Bilozerka who suffered during russian shelling on the evening of 26 August sought medical help. The 51-year-old woman was diagnosed with a blast injury, concussion, and traumatic brain injury.

Yesterday, the russian army shelled the right bank of the region with artillery, mortars, and drones. The enemy attacked Kherson, Sadove, Antonivka, Sofiivka, Kizomys, Prydniprovske, Bilozerka, Naddniprianske, Nadiivka, Chornobaivka, Stanislav, Beryslav, Novovorontsovka, Vysoke, and Novoraisk. Four apartment buildings and 14 private houses, two medical institutions, an administrative building, a police service vehicle, and five civilian cars, as well as a garage, were damaged. As a result of russian shelling, one person was killed and 16 were injured, including three police officers.

Throughout August, russian forces killed 17 residents of Kherson community, and 151 people were injured. Among them, 60 were wounded in drone attacks and 86 from artillery shelling.

According to Kherson Regional Military Administration, from 28 to 31 August, the russian army attacked the right bank of Kherson oblast with 1,805 drones. Of these, 1,728 were destroyed or suppressed by Ukrainian units.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

This year, for the 2nd time, Rozhyshchensk community supported the I Honor Warriors, I Run for Heroes of Ukraine All-Ukrainian race. The oldest participant in the race was 87-year-old Yosyp Pokhilchuk from the village of Uzhova, who covered 15 km by bicycle to become a participant in the race. However, the respected participant covered the distance by bicycle. The youngest participant in the race was three-year-old Veronika and her mother Valentyna Yaroschuk, who ran for the 2nd time.

Zakarpattia oblast

About 60 military personnel and veterans from the oblast took part in the Carpathian Warrior Games in Uzhhorod. They competed in deadlifts, stationary bikes, and bench presses, demonstrating incredible strength and willpower.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

3 servicemen of the 102nd Separate Brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast received a high distinction of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine – the Golden Cross honorary breastplate. This award is presented to privates and sergeants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for bravery in battle and successful performance of combat operations.

Lviv oblast

In Rudky, Yurii Napora, while singing, raised UAH 25,000 for the defenders. These funds will go to purchase a thermal imager for Oleh Chornenkoy and his comrades from the 202nd Battalion of the 103rd Territorial Defense Brigade named after Metropolitan Andrii Sheptytsky.

Zolochiv community sent a batch of drones to the Donbas Special Forces Battalion. The initiative was supported by caring community residents, local entrepreneurs and volunteer organizations.

The Village and Honey Festival was held in the village of Bortkiv, Krasnoiarsk community. Through joint efforts, over UAH 54,000 were raised for the needs of soldiers.

Rivne oblast

930 air raid sirens sounded in Rivne oblast since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. Summing up August: 14 alarms (in July there were 32); the longest – 21 August (8 h 11 min); the shortest – 15 August (11 min); on 4 August the alarm was announced three times; the maximum number of days without sirens – 7 (from 20 to 28 August).

Ternopil oblast

Soldiers from Ternopil receive UAH 15,000 for treatment and rehabilitation. During 2024, 295 wounded defenders received such assistance.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

125 Khmelnytskyi residents who participated in the russian-Ukrainian war receive 50% reimbursement of their university tuition fees from the city budget. In total, this is almost UAH 1m.

Chernivtsi oblast

Captain Ivan Chuntul from the village of Podvir’ivka, Livynets community, was awarded with the For the Defense of Ukraine presidential medal and the Silver Cross decoration of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The soldier serves near Pokrovsk, where he holds the position of commander of the anti-tank outpost of the border commandant’s rapid response unit of Chernihiv Border Detachment.

Ukraine will receive €2m from Latvia for the purchase of weapons. The purchase of weapons within the framework of PURL.

Jens Spahn and Matthias Mirsch, leaders of the German parliamentary groups, have made their 1st joint visit to Kyiv. This is also the first visit to Ukraine for both of them. In Kyiv, they plan to hold talks on Germany’s continued support for Ukraine and diplomatic efforts to end the war.
