Since the beginning of the day, the total number of combat engagements along the entire front line has reached 89.
The invaders continue striking areas near settlements along the border with Russia. Artillery shelling targeted the settlements of Yanzhulivka in Chernihiv region; Kucherivka, Slavgorod, Uhroidy, Khliborob, and Rev’yakyne in Sumy region.
In the Northern-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, Ukrainian forces repelled three enemy attacks today, with two more clashes still ongoing. The enemy also carried out nine airstrikes, using 20 guided aerial bombs, and conducted 163 shelling attacks, including three with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).
In the Southern-Slobozhansky direction, Ukrainian forces repelled four enemy attacks in the areas of Zelene, Fiholivka, Zapadne, and toward Petro-Ivanivka.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attempted twice to advance on Ukrainian positions near Bohuslavka.
In the Lyman direction, the aggressor launched eight attacks today in the areas of Hrekivka and toward Hryhorivka and Shandryholove.
In the Siversk direction, our defenders successfully stopped two enemy attacks near Serebrianka, while two more clashes are ongoing near Verkhnokamianske and Hryhorivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the Defense Forces repelled one attempt by the enemy to advance near Stupochky.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy attacked our positions 10 times in the areas of Oleksandro-Kalynove, Rusyn Yar, Toretsk, Shcherbynivka, and Yablunivka. Three clashes are still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy attacked our defenders’ positions 29 times today in the areas of Novoekonomichne, Razine, Myrolyubivka, Lysivka, Zvirove, Udachne, Horikhove, Oleksiivka, Poltavka, Kotlyne, and toward Pokrovsk, Bilytske, Novoukrainka, Novopavlivka, Zapovidne, and Rodynske. One clash is still ongoing.
In the Novopavlivka direction, our defenders fought off enemy attacks in the areas of Zelene Pole, Piddubne, Myrne, and toward the settlement of Temyrivka. Three out of four enemy assaults were repelled, and one clash continues.
In the Hulyaipole direction, there have been no clashes since the start of the day. The enemy carried out an airstrike on the settlement of Bilohirya.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy did not conduct active operations.
In the Prydniprovske direction, the enemy made three attempts to advance toward Prydniprovske. Additionally, guided aerial bombs were dropped on the settlement of Lvove.
Support the Defense Forces!
In Sumy region, Russia hit a civilian bus, according to the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration. Three people were killed and 20 others were injured with varying degrees of severity.

Kharkiv oblast
Frontline
As of 4pm, Ukrainian soldiers repelled four attacks in the areas of Zelenе, Fyholivka, Zapadne, and towards Petro-Ivanivka towards South Slobozhanske.
Towards Kupiansk, the occupiers twice attempted to advance on the positions of Ukrainian units in Bohuslavka.
Towards Lyman, the russian federation attacked eight times today, in particular in Hryhorivka.
Yesterday 153 combat clashes were recorded.
In South Slobozhanske, the enemy stormed the positions of our units four times near Starytsia, Krasne Pershe and in Vovchansk.
Yesterday there were six attacks by the invaders towards Kupiansk. Our defenders repelled enemy assaults near Radkivka, Kupiansk and Zahryzove.
Attacks
Yesterday Kharkiv and six settlements in the oblast were hit by enemy strikes. There were no casualties as a result of the shelling.
The enemy attacked 10 UAVs in Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv.
The enemy actively used various types of weapons in Kharkiv oblast:

▪️ 35 Shahed-type UAVs;
▪️ 11 Geran-2-type UAVs;
▪️ 3 Molniya-type UAVs;
▪️ 3 FPV drones.
Civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged and destroyed:
▪️ in Kharkiv, a civilian enterprise and a private house were damaged;
▪️ in Kharkivskyi district, a production and economic building and a private house (in the village of Mala Danilivka) were damaged;
▪️ in Kupianskyi district, 3 private houses were damaged (Kupiansk, Katerynivka and Rohozianka villages).
According to the Ministry of Culture, Kharkiv oblast leads in the number of cultural heritage sites damaged by russian shelling.
In Blyzniuky, a 40-day art residency called “KontrForma” has begun for artists from frontline regions and veterans of the russian-Ukrainian war. Participants work with military artefacts, shell casings, fragments of Shaheds, KABs and missiles, ammunition boxes, and create artistic and performative works.
Donetsk oblast
Frontline
According to the morning report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, russian forces have reduced the number of assaults on five of the six defence lines in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts. Specifically, the Defence Forces repelled 12 attacks over the past day towards Novopavlivka of the front near Temyrivka, Tovste, Novokhatsk, Myrne, Zelenyi Hai, Maliivka and Voskresenka. The day before, there were 26 assaults.
Oleh Petrasiuk, press officer of the 24th Mechanised Brigade, said that close combat continues in Chasiv Yar. Despite the fact that russian troops have almost completely destroyed the city after more than a year of shelling and assaults, the occupiers are striking the settlement with guided bombs and drones in order to destroy the positions of the Defence Forces. At the same time, the occupiers have increased the number of attacks towards Pokrovsk: over the past day, there were 63 battles in this section of the front, and the day before, there were 51 assaults by russian troops.
Oleksii Khilchenko, Commander of the Spartan National Guard Brigade, reported that russian infantrymen are riding bicycles to storm the positions of the Defence Forces near Pokrovsk. Previously, the occupiers used only motorcycles and electric scooters.
Attacks
According to Donetsk Prosecutor’s Office, in the evening, the russian army launched an air strike on Illinivka in Kramatorsk region. A 59-year-old man was killed and three women were injured.
Horbunov, Head of the Civil-Military Administration, reported that in the morning, the russian army dropped two aerial bombs on Kostiantynivka. At least 11 private houses were damaged
Two people were killed and three more wounded as a result of russian shelling of Donetsk oblast yesterday. The occupiers killed residents of Kostiantynivka and Myrnohrad. People were wounded in Krymky and Svitle.
Yesterday the police recorded 2,386 enemy strikes. The enemy concentrated its fire on 12 settlements: Kostiantynivka, Lyman, Myrnohrad, Novodonetsk, Bokove, Iverske, Kryva Luka, Krymky, Markove, Novoselivka, Rai-Oleksandrivka and Svitle. Twenty-three civilian objects were damaged, including 12 residential buildings.
The russians attacked Kostiantynivka with drones and artillery, killing a civilian. Three private houses, a workshop, and cars were damaged.
One person was killed in Myrnohrad as a result of shelling from multiple launch rocket systems.
The occupiers struck the village of Krymky with an FPV drone, injuring two residents.
In Svitle, Dobropillia community, a russian drone injured a person and damaged a truck.
Information has been confirmed about the death of a civilian in Pokrovsk, who was killed as a result of shelling on 25 July.
Other
According to Mariupol City Council, a police officer from Donetsk oblast created a series of postcards depicting landmarks in Mariupol. He donated his work to the YaMariupol centre in Dnipro.

Luhansk oblast
According to the RMA, the russians stormed Hrekivka again. In total, they carried out 16 attacks towards Lyman. The russians launched an air strike yesterday in our area of responsibility. They attempted to target us with barrel artillery 30 times. They used 78 drones and FPV drones.
Due to an acute shortage of personnel in the so-called “lpr”, they are trying to recruit doctors and junior medical staff for additional funds. Of course, with a mandatory five-year work period. Another condition is that the population of the settlement must be less than 50,000. This year, the occupiers expected at least 30 medical workers, but in seven months only six agreed.
The demonstration of the restoration of housing in Siverskodonetsk lasted only a year. In many cases, instead of full-scale reconstruction, the russians simply painted the facades of buildings located along the highways in different colours. After a year, the paint began to wash off. This was noted by residents of several five-storey buildings.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
According to Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko, in August, the bone marrow transplant unit at the “Okhmatdyt” Children’s Hospital in Kyiv will be restored, . All necessary reconstruction work at the hospital is expected to finish by the end of the year.
This week, Bila Tserkva joined the IOM Ukraine project to support veterans as part of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) initiative “Promoting Social Cohesion and Reintegration of Veterans in Ukraine.” The project provides assistance to those returning from the front lines – ranging from training and psychological support to rehabilitation equipment and essential resources.
According to village head Anton Ovsiienko The Bilohorodka community has provided over 1.6 million UAH in aid to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The latest shipment of essential equipment – including modern combat and surveillance tools – was delivered over the past two weeks.
City Council Head Mykhailo Kryvoshieiev announced that Vilnius University Hospital Santaros Klinikos has donated a vehicle to the Tarashcha community to support the needs of military personnel.
The Bila Tserkva community has donated aid to the Armed Forces, including portable power stations, laptops, and tablets. The procedure took place during a meeting between the head of the Bila Tserkva District State Administration, Iryna Starenka, and representatives of a military unit.
Zhytomyr oblast
the head of the Department for Veterans’ Affairs of the Zhytomyr City Council reported that Since the beginning of 2025, users of the “Zhytomyr Drone” platform have produced 1,300 FPV drones. The online platform “Zhytomyr Drone,” which enables people to support defenders by assembling FPV drones, was launched in the fall of 2023. In nearly two years, around 8,000 users have registered on the platform.
On July 26 in Zhytomyr, relatives of prisoners of war and missing persons held another rally titled “Captivity and Uncertainty Kill.” This time, the event was dedicated to the third anniversary of the terrorist attack in Olenivka. On the night of July 28–29, 2022, russian forces carried out an explosion there, killing at least 53 Ukrainian POWs and injuring more than 130 others. Participants gathered at Korolyov Square.
According to the Zhytomyr Lyceum No. 4 director, Oksana Zhuravska, A shelter is being equipped at the institution. Recently, the school received over 100 desks and chairs from the charitable organization Ukrainian Charity Fund in cooperation with the NGO All-Ukrainian Protection of People with Disabilities.
Sumy oblast
“Kursk” troop grouping reported that Kindrativka village in Sumy oblast has been liberated by military units and subdivisions of Ukraine’s Defense Forces. Stabilization actions are currently ongoing there. On 25 July, the analytical project DeepState also reported on Kindrativka’s liberation.
The Regional Military Administration informed that at approximately 4:30pm on 27 July, russian forces struck a civilian bus by a drone near Ivolzhanske village in Yunakivka community. Preliminary reports indicate that three people were killed and 19 others injured. Medical assistance is being provided. A total of 39 passengers were on board. The wounded and remaining passengers have been evacuated to a safe area.
The victims of the russian drone strike on the bus near Ivolzhanske were residents of Yunakivka community. They had been evacuated to Sumy but continued to visit their homes and tend to their properties in the border area.
According to the Regional Military Administration, on 27 July, russian forces attacked Sumy city. A drone strike shattered approximately 50 windows across the city. As a result of the UAV attacks, part of Sumy community was left without electricity. Power restoration efforts are underway.
According to the Municipal Water Utility, due to a russian attack on 27 July, one of Sumy’s water intakes was de-energized. Water supply was disrupted for residents of the Kursky district, the village of Pishchane, Veretenivka, Topolyanska Street, and adjacent areas.
On the evening of 26 July, the enemy struck Kovpakivka district of Sumy. As a result, three civilians were injured. All were taken to hospitals, where doctors are conducting examinations and providing the necessary care.
On 26 July and during the night of 27 July, russian forces attacked Velyka Pysarivka village. A household was damaged: one home was destroyed, and another caught fire.
Serhii Minakov, head of the Esman community reported that two men were killed by a landmine explosion in Esman, Sumy oblast. The victims were two brothers, aged 50 and 55, who were on their way to the cemetery to install memorials for their relatives.
The Regional Police informed that eight people were injured in Sumy oblast due to russian shelling the previous day.
On 26 July, four people were injured in Shostka community. Sixteen private homes and twenty apartment buildings were damaged, along with five vehicles. Two administrative buildings, a post office, a shopping center, a religious site, two stores, several offices, energy infrastructure, and a private enterprise were also affected. Police are documenting the consequences of crimes committed by the russian army.
Damage was recorded in Hlukhiv community: two private homes, a market building, a gas station, and a vehicle were affected. One person was injured.
Three people were injured in Sumy urban community. An administrative building, windows of apartment blocks, an office, a store, and a gas station were damaged.
In two other communities, damage was reported to one residential building, a vehicle, non-residential premises, and communication and power transmission towers.
According to the Regional Military Administration, during the 24-hour period from the morning of 26 July to the morning of 27 July, russian forces carried out nearly 70 attacks on 33 settlements across 13 territorial communities in Sumy oblast. The highest number of strikes was recorded in Sumy and Shostka regions. The enemy actively used guided aerial bombs (20 strikes), dropped VOG grenades from UAVs (up to 10 strikes), and also launched attacks by FPV-drones and other UAVs.
Chernihiv oblast
Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment reported that during the day on 26 July, russian forces attacked three border communities in Chernihiv oblast — Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, and Snovsk. The enemy carried out mortar shelling (4 explosions), artillery strikes (18 explosions), FPV-drone attacks (15 explosions), and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (11 explosions).
According to the Local Council, on 27 July, Kozelets town pay tribute to Sergeant Hryhorii Nazarenko, a driver in the anti-aircraft missile and artillery battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was killed on 21 July 2025 while carrying out a combat mission in Kharkiv sector. Hryhorii had previously served in the Anti-Terrorist Operation in eastern Ukraine. Following the full-scale russian invasion, he voluntarily joined the defense of the country.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
From evening until night, the enemy continued shelling the Nikopol area, according to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council, Mykola Lukashuk. The occupiers used drones, MLRS, and artillery. They targeted the district center and the Marhanets community. In the latter, a drone strike injured four people – two men aged 60 and 47, and two women aged 40 and 58. Five private houses and a power line were damaged. The enemy also attacked the Velykomykhailivka and Mezhiv communities in the Synelnykove district, damaging infrastructure and a private house.
During the day, the enemy attacked two districts of the region – Nikopol and Synelnykove. The occupiers struck the Nikopol area more than 15 times with drones and artillery. They targeted the district center, as well as the Pokrovske, Myrove, and Marhanets communities. A 54-year-old man was injured.
Fires broke out. A dormitory, a private house, an apartment building, and five cars were damaged. The enemy also attacked the Velykomykhailivka, Pokrovske, and Mezhiv communities in the Synelnykove district. Fires occurred, and an agricultural enterprise, private houses, an outbuilding, and a car were damaged.
Kirovohrad oblast
In Kropyvnytskyi, families of prisoners of war and missing persons held a rally called “Don’t Stay Silent! Captivity Kills,” dedicated to the third anniversary of the terrorist attack in Olenivka. On the night of July 28–29, 2022, Russian forces carried out an explosion there, killing over 50 Ukrainian prisoners of war and injuring at least 140 others.
Poltava oblast
Last night, air defense was active in the Poltava region, according to the Poltava Regional Military Administration. In the Kremenchuk and Poltava districts, debris from enemy UAVs was recorded falling, resulting in damage to four private houses and three outbuildings.
Cherkasy oblast
At night, defenders shot down four Russian UAVs, according to Ihor Taburets, head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration.
Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine
Zaporizhzhia oblast
On 27 July, the bodies of two people were found in the ruins of a house destroyed by russia in Stepnohirsk. Yesterday, the enemy launched a rocket salvo attack on the front-line village. As a result of the strike, a private house was destroyed and a fire broke out. A 74-year-old woman and a 66-year-old man were killed.
On 26 July, the occupiers carried out 810 strikes on 12 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. russian forces launched 26 airstrikes on Orikhiv, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, and Bilohiria. 579 UAVs of various types (mainly FPV) attacked Bilenke, Kamianske, Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Omelnyk, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Charivne. Four MLRS attacks hit Yurivka and Novodanylivka. There were 201 artillery strikes on Kamianske, Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Charivne. Sixteen reports were received about the destruction of apartments, private houses, vehicles, garages, and infrastructure facilities.
Yesterday, 26 July, Ukraine’s Defense Forces repelled one russian assault near Kamianske towards Orikhiv.
Mykolaiv oblast
On the night of 27 July, air defense forces shot down three enemy Shahed-type UAVs (and other types of drones) over Mykolaiv oblast. There were no shellings in the region.
On 27 July, around 200 people gathered in downtown of Mykolaiv for a weekly rally to raise awareness about missing and captured relatives. During the event, participants also remembered the imprisoned defenders killed by russian forces in Olenivka in 2022. A moment of silence on 27 July in Mykolaiv was held to mark the third anniversary of the Olenivka attack. On the night of 28 to 29 July, 2022, one of the barracks was destroyed in the former 120th Volnovakha Correctional Colony in russian-occupied Olenivka, Donetsk region. At least 50 Ukrainian prisoners of war from “Azovstal” were killed, and at least 130 others were injured.
Odesa oblast
On 27 July, explosions were heard in Odesa during an air raid alert. Before that, the Air Force had reported the movement of attack UAVs. The first explosion in Odesa occurred at approximately 13:02.
Kherson oblast
On 27 July, 2025, at around 11:30 a.m., russian forces launched an artillery strike on Shyroka Balka in Kherson region. As a result of the attack, a 54-year-old man who was outside at the time was killed.
Also on 27 July, Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that a 66-year-old woman had died in the hospital due to a russian strike the previous day.
In the afternoon, russian forces attacked a Kherson resident with a drone in Dniprovskyi district. A 55-year-old man sustained a blast injury and shrapnel wounds to his forearm.
At around 13:00, russian occupying forces shelled Tsentralnyi district of Kherson with artillery. A 58-year-old woman sustained a blast injury and abdominal wounds.
This morning, russian forces shelled Bilozerka, injuring two people. A 58-year-old woman was diagnosed with a blast injury, concussion, contusion, and shrapnel wounds to her legs. A 58-year-old man sustained a blast and traumatic brain injury, concussion, and shrapnel wounds to his neck.
Yesterday, 26 July, the nemey attacked Antonivka, Sadove, Bilozerka, Romashkove, Kizomys, Novodmytrivka, Doslidne, Poniativka, Mykilske, Ivanivka, Tokarivka, Stanislav, Sofiivka, Oleksandrivka, Shyroka Balka, Beryslav, Shliakhove, Novoberyslav, Shevchenkivka, Novoraisk, Kostyrka, Chervonyi Maiak, Mylove, Dudchany, Respublikanets, Novooleksandrivka, Havrylivka, Zolota Balka, Burhunka, Tiahynka, Lvivske, Odradokamianka, Olhivka, Osokorivka, Kozatske, Vesele, and the city of Kherson. As a result of the attacks, two apartment buildings, 11 private homes, farm buildings, a private garage, and vehicles were damaged. In total, 8 people were injured, including one child.
According to the General Staff, as of 16:00 on 27 July, the enemy made three attempts to advance toward Prydniprovske. Over the past day, the enemy launched 10 attacks on Ukrainian positions near the Antonivsky bridges and the islands of Bilohrudyi, Zabych, and Velykyi Potomkin. Enemy losses included 37 personnel, 9 artillery systems, 25 vehicles, 1 Tiger armored vehicle, 1 anti-tank weapon, 4 UAVs (“Zala,” “Supercam,” “Orlan-10”), 3 motorcycles, 1 boat, 1 ATV, 1 trench EW system, 2 UAV antennas, 2 communication antennas, 2 Starlink antennas, 1 field supply depot, 3 observation posts, and 33 shelters destroyed.
The Global Empowerment Mission Ukraine team, in partnership with the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, delivered food kits to residents of Kherson oblast. Aid was distributed to residents of the Davydiv Brid, Stiikivka, and Bruskinske administrative areas, the villages of Kozatske and Vesele, and the modular town in Chornobaivka community.

The Main Department of SES in Volyn oblast reported that 2 brigades of SES medics from Volyn are currently performing tasks in liberated territories of Eastern Ukraine.
Zakarpattia oblast
UAH 1.15m was allocated to support the military at a session of Uzhhorod City Council. Funds under the Program for Support of Military Units, Other Military Formations, and Paramilitary Organizations, which operates in the community, will be received by 4 military units upon applications from unit commanders.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
Ivano-Frankivsk City Council reported that 5 excursion trips abroad for children from privileged categories have already been organized to cities of Trakai (Lithuania), Sibenik (Croatia), Jelgava (Latvia), Nyiregyhaza (Hungary) and Chrzanow (Poland).
Lviv oblast
The Grabovets-Dulibivska community donated three DJI Mavic 3 Pro quadcopters for the needs of the 5th separate assault brigade. The total cost of the equipment is UAH 236,700.
Rivne oblast
The RMA held a meeting with representatives of Polish business within the framework of the 6th Energy Efficiency Forum. Aldesa Polska presented the economic potential of Rivne oblast to representatives. They discussed areas of possible cooperation.
Ternopil oblast
Defenders from Ternopil will receive assistance for treatment and rehabilitation. Each of the wounded soldiers will receive UAH 15,000 to restore their health. Since the beginning of the year, 302 defenders have already received such support.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
Khmelnytskyi City Council reported that 89 participants of the russian-Ukrainian war are receiving compensation of 50% of the cost of paid education at a community university.
Chernivtsi oblast
A farewell was held for a serviceman who died defending Ukraine from russian occupiers. Private Mykola Rostotskyi, soldier of the Military Unit A4638, was paid his last respects in Chahr.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, had a phone conversation with Emmanuel Macron, French President. They discussed Ukraine’s main defense needs.
