On 28 February, there were 60 combat clashes with the russian aggressor.
Communities in settlements such as Oleksandrivka, Kucherivka, Korenyok, Studenok, Kharkivka, Malushyne and Zarichne in Sumy oblast; Liskivshchyna and Yanzhulivka in Chernihiv oblast were hit by enemy artillery and mortar fire.
Towards Kharkiv, the enemy tried to storm the positions of Ukrainian units near Vovchansk, but was repulsed.
Towards Lyman, the invading army carried out one attack on Ukrainian positions near Ivanovka. Ukrainian soldiers are holding their defenses steadfastly and inflicting losses on the enemy.

Towards Pokrovsk, russian invaders made 15 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from the occupied positions near Yelizavetivka, Promin, Lysivka, Novoukrainka, Pishchane, Kotlyny, Nadiivka and Andriivka. The defense forces are holding back the onslaught and repelling 12 enemy attacks, three clashes are still ongoing. Enemy aviation struck Zvirove and Leontovychi with GABs.
Towards Novopavlivka, there were six enemy attacks near Konstantynopol.

Yuriy Ihnat, Head of the communications department of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, says that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Ukrainian Air Force has destroyed 40 Daggers, 550 Calibers, over 1,800 X-101s, and several X-22 missiles. There are also downed Onyxes, about 100 Iskander-Ks, about fifty guided aircraft missiles, almost 100 Iskander-Ms, several Tsirkons and over 14 thousand Shaheeds. Every night, russia launches a large number of drones over the territory of Ukraine, mostly half of them Shahed kamikaze strike drones and half of them simulator drones, in order to exhaust Ukrainian air defense.

Kharkiv oblast
Front
The General Staff reported that towards Kharkiv, russia once tried to storm the positions of Ukrainian units near Vovchansk, and was repulsed. On the Kupyansk, there were no russian offensives.
Towards Kharkiv, it tried to break through the defensive lines of Ukrainian defenders four times towards Vovchansk and Kindrashivka. In addition, it carried out an air strike on Slatyne.
Towards Kupiansk and Prydniprovske, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations since the beginning of the day.
Shelling
Viktor Kovalenko, Community Head, says that within 10 minutes, from 10:10 to 10:20, Russian aviation struck Zolochiv community with six KABs. The first air bomb hit Kalynove (five private houses, a culture house, a shop, a car, power lines were damaged), the second – in the forest near Karasivka, the third – in the open territory of Chornohlazivka, two KABs hit the outskirts of Orishanka, the sixth air bomb hit the open territory of Dovzhyk.
The day before, at 22:18, Izyum region, village of Vyshneve was under attack by the russian federation. As a result of the shelling, a summer kitchen and an outbuilding were on fire.
At 21:57, Izyum region, Balakliia city was under attack. Previously, a house with 8 apartments was partially destroyed as a result of the fall of a Shahed UAV. 2 men and 1 woman were injured.
From 20:00 to 21:00, russians used at least 20 UAVs on the outskirts of Kharkiv, 17 were shot down by air defense systems. The strikes targeted a power system facility, a residential sector, and a civilian enterprise. A woman and a man were injured. At 15:40, russians attacked Bohodukhiv region, Zolochiv TG. 2 KABs were hit in open territory near the village of Tsapivka and 1 KAB near the village of Liutivka.

Donetsk oblast
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the defense forces struck a russian warehouse with thermobaric ammunition, which russian troops had set up near the temporarily occupied Selidove in Donetsk oblast. The warehouse was destroyed by the Ukrainian military on the night of February 28. Three “important” facilities of russian troops were also attacked. In particular, the Ilya oil refinery in Krasnodar Territory of the russian federation.

russians stormed Ukrainian positions in Belohorivka twice – both times the Ukrainian military repelled these enemy attacks in the Siversky direction. According to the RMA, the invaders are not stopping their attempts to attack in the Lymanskaya sector of the front. The enemy continues to actively use artillery, which was fired 14 times yesterday. 254 russian drones carried out combat missions in the specified zone of responsibility.
In the so-called “lpr”, Cossacks, after an illegal existence for the past 11 years, will receive official status. They will form Luhansk Cossack Region there, which will become part of the so-called “all-great Don army”. It should be noted that today, five primary Cossack societies have already been registered in the occupied territory of the region, the members of which “assume the responsibilities” of performing public service.
In some areas of Lysychansk, attempts were made to supply water, but there were a number of bursts in the system and freezing of pipes. The city’s occupation authorities are not responding to local complaints. The occupiers have not organized the delivery of water, both drinking and technical.

DTEK reported that on 28 February, power companies in Kyiv and oblast introduced emergency power cuts. These restrictions were imposed as a result of russian attacks on energy facilities.
Svitlana Hrynchuk, Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources, informed that the smouldering on the roof of the shelter, which was damaged by a russian drone, continues to be extinguished at Chornobyl nuclear power plant. Drones with thermographic imagers are inspecting the entire perimeter. In addition, 20 units of special equipment and 90 employees of the State Emergency Service, including climbers, are constantly working at the site.
Baryshivka has an adaptive sports club to support combat veterans. It is equipped with specialised equipment and exercise machines that are adapted for people with disabilities. Veterans can recover physically and psychologically there. The club is one of the 15 winners of the ‘Time to Act, Unstoppable’ national competition for social initiatives.
In the centre of Kyiv, a peaceful action ‘Ours are not at home’ was held in support of soldiers who went missing and prisoners of war. It was held on the day of the 32nd separate mechanised brigade’s foundation.

An exhibition about children who survived the occupation of Crimea was opened in the capital. The exhibition ‘The Power of Resistance’ was presented by the Museum of War Childhood as part of the Forum ‘11 Years of War. Zhytomyr oblast
Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration reports that in one of the villages of Brusylivka community, which was hit by an airstrike by the russian army on the morning of February 25, according to updated data, 4 houses were destroyed and 22 damaged. In addition, on February 28, a woman was discharged from the hospital after being injured by falling debris that destroyed her house. The community is currently eliminating the consequences of the russian attack. The local authorities will provide financial assistance to all victims.
Oleh Riaboi, Head of the regional military administration, says that free training on preparing people for national resistance is being conducted for residents of the communities of the Korosten district, – said the . Sumy oblast

As a result of the enemy attack, two people were injured. The windows and roofs of three residential apartment buildings were damaged. Forty people from the damaged buildings were evacuated to safe places.
As a result of a nighttime drone attack on energy facilities in Sumy oblast, emergency power outages were enforced. In the morning, emergency outage schedules were introduced in the oblast. Currently, the emergency outages have been canceled.
Overall, during the night and morning of 28 February, russian forces carried out 12 shellings of border areas and settlements in Sumy oblast. A total of 12 strikes were recorded: artillery shelling, FPV-drone attacks, guided aerial bomb launches (GAB), and dropping explosive devices (VOG) from UAVs. The Sumy, Yunakivka, Myropillia, Velyka Pysarivka, and Hlukhiv communities were affected by the shelling.
On 28 February, anti-aircraft units in Sumy oblast shot down 17 enemy “Shahed” drones.
During the past day, russian forces carried out 55 shellings in Sumy oblast, with a total of 106 strikes recorded. The enemy used mortars (29 explosions) and artillery (37 explosions), conducted FPV-drone attacks (13 explosions), launched guided aerial bombs (GAB) (5 explosions), and dropped explosive devices (VOG) from UAVs (20 explosions). The shellings affected the communities of Khotin, Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Vorozhba, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Putyvl, Hlukhiv, Shalyhyne, Esman, Seredyna-Buda, and Znob-Novhorodske.
Sumy Regional Military Administration informed that as a result of russian shelling on 27 February in Hlukhiv community, a civilian was injured. In Vorozhba community, a private house and a car were damaged.
Chernihiv oblast
Chernihiv border detachment reported that on 27 February, russian forces attacked three border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, and Snovsk. A total of 52 explosions were recorded. The enemy used mortars and barrel artillery, FPV-drones, launched unguided aerial missiles (NAR), and dropped explosive devices from UAVs. Ten settlements were under enemy fire.
State Border Guard Service informed that in Snovsk, a “Shahed” type UAV fell. As a result of the drone crash, a critical infrastructure facility, power lines, one apartment building, and three private residential buildings were damaged.
The Regional Police reported that in Chernihiv region, bomb disposal experts neutralized an unexploded warhead from a downed russian drone. The debris was found after one of the enemy airstrikes.
Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the Regional Military Administration, said that four communities in the oblast have established partnerships with French municipalities in Île-de-France. Chernihiv region has received assistance from these partners in the form of generators, block-modular boilers, recovery materials, over 6,000 tablets for educational institutions, and ambulances for Chernihiv Regional Emergency Medical Center.

Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, reported that yesterday evening and at night, the occupiers continued to attack Nikopol region. They targeted the district centre, Pokrovsk and Marhanets communities with drones. An agricultural enterprise, a minibus and infrastructure were damaged. Also in the morning, russian troops attacked Novopavlivka community in Synelnykove region with a multiple rocket launcher.
The enemy attacked Synelnykove region several times. They attacked with drones and anti-aircraft guns. Two men 35 and 48 years old were injured. They will be treated at home. In Mezhivka and Velyka Mykhailivka communities, 13 residential buildings, a kindergarten and a car were damaged by enemy shelling. Power grids were damaged. The enemy also carried out about a dozen attacks in Nikopol region. The occupiers fired kamikaze drones at the district centre, Myrove, Pokrovske and Marhanetsk communities. An 84-year-old woman was injured in Nikopol, but she is fine and will be treated at home. A private house and a truck were damaged.
Vinnytsia oblast
A buggy festival was held in Ulaniv, Vinnytsia oblast, during which high school students were taught how to fly drones, provide first aid and learn about combat tactics. Zaporizhzhia oblast
On 27 February, the occupiers carried out 483 attacks on 9 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. The enemy launched 12 airstrikes on Kamianske, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Charivne, and Dolynka. 269 UAVs of various modifications targeted Stepnohirsk, Kamianske, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, and Novodarivka. 3 MLRS attacks struck Mala Tokmachka and Novodanylivka. Additionally, 199 artillery strikes hit Kamianske, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, and Novodarivka. There were 30 reports of damaged apartments and private homes. One person was injured in an enemy attack on Zaporizhzhia.
As a result of another enemy UAV attack on Zaporizhzhia, five private houses and three apartment buildings were damaged. A fire destroyed three apartments in a multi-story building, and gas and electricity supplies were cut off in the entrance section.

On 27 February, a residential house caught fire in the frontline town of Orikhiv due to russian shelling. According to rescuers, the fire covered a total area of 96 square meters.
As of 16:00 on 28 February, three clashes continue towards Orikhiv, with one attack already repelled by the Defense Forces. The enemy, supported by assault aviation, is attempting to advance in the areas of Piatykhatky and Kamianske.
Throughout 27 February, Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 15 russian military attacks towards Huliaipole and Orikhiv. russian forces attacked Ukrainian defenders’ positions six times near Charivne towards Huliaipole, while they launched nine assaults near Stepove, Piatykhatky, and Kamianske towards Orikhiv.
Mykolaiv oblast
At around 00:16, the enemy attacked Mykolaiv with Shahed 131/136 UAVs. As a result of falling debris, a fire broke out on the premises of a manufacturing enterprise. The fire completely destroyed a cargo van, while a warehouse and another cargo van were also damaged. No casualties were reported. During the night of 28 February, air defense forces destroyed five Shahed 131/136 UAVs over in Mykolaiv oblast.
Denmark approved the sixth Mykolaiv Recovery Package, with a total funding volume of €26 million, equivalent to over one billion hryvnias. The funds will be allocated to the reconstruction of social infrastructure, support for energy security, demining projects, and economic development of the region. Special attention was given to humanitarian demining, with over €4.5 million earmarked for these efforts.
Odesa oblast
As of 6:00 am on 28 February, four enemy ships were present in the Mediterranean Sea, including three carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles, with a total salvo of up to 26 missiles.
Over the past day, two vessels passed through the Kerch Strait into the Black Sea in russia’s interest, while 13 more ships entered the Sea of Azov.
Kherson oblast
Around 2:00pm, russian forces shelled Bilozirka with artillery, damaging an apartment building.
At approximately 11:00am, a drone attack targeted a resident of Beryslav, causing explosive trauma and shrapnel wounds to his legs.
A man injured by a russian UAV attack in Antonivka the previous evening was hospitalized. The 64-year-old local resident sustained an explosive injury and a shrapnel wound to his shin. His condition is moderate.
During the night of 28 February, the russian army attacked Dniprovskyi district of Kherson. One of the enterprises was shelled with artillery, and caught a fire. The attack shattered windows, damaged a balcony, and destroyed walls.
Police officers evacuated a wounded man from frontline Havrylivka after a russian drone strike, as well as a mobility-impaired woman. They were quickly transported to a medical facility for qualified assistance.
On 27 February, russian forces repeatedly shelled the right-bank areas of Kherson oblast using MLRS, artillery, aviation, and UAVs. The attacks targeted Kherson, Antonivka, Bilozerka, Sofiivka, Kyselivka, Sadove, Prydniprovske, Zelenivka, Inhulets, Beryslav, Dudchany, Havrylivka, Burhunka, Novooleksandrivka, Novokairy, Osokorivka, Zmiivka, and Chervonyi Maiak. 32 structures were damaged, including 24 private houses, two administrative buildings, an enterprise, a gas station, two cars, and a gas pipeline. One person was killed, and five were injured due to russian aggression.
Yesterday, during an evacuation, patrol officers were attacked by a russian drone. While transporting an injured man from Antonivka to a medical facility, an enemy drone dropped an explosive device near their vehicle. No one was harmed, but the front part of the police car suffered shrapnel damage.
Ukraine’s Southern Defense Forces continue to inflict fire damage on enemy positions, firing posts, and rear areas. Over the past day, russian losses amounted to 105 personnel, 15 artillery systems and mortars, 34 vehicles, 6 motorcycles, 2 ATVs, 3 buggies, 1 boat, 6 reconnaissance drones (Zala, Supercam, and Orlan-10), 2 electronic warfare stations, 2 autotransformers, 3 generators, 2 communication antennas, and 4 UAV control antennas. Additionally, 25 shelters/bunkers, 1 observation post, 1 checkpoint, a fuel storage facility, and an ammunition depot were destroyed.
Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets reported that from 2022 to 2024, 42 children from Kherson oblast were illegally transferred to russian families. This information was obtained from statements made by the occupation administration in Kherson oblast.

Volyn oblast
The RMA held an online meeting with families of the military. About 100 participants joined the conversation. They discussed prisoners of war and missing persons and their search, pension provision, preferential education for children, rehabilitation and treatment of military personnel and improving communication with local authorities.

Lviv oblast
Dmytro Ushakov, Commander of the Rifle Platoon of the 215th Territorial Defense Brigade, was awarded the Defender of Ukraine medal (posthumously). The award was presented to the Hero’s wife. While performing a combat mission, he and his comrades came under attack by drones. Despite the danger, Dmytro rushed to rescue the wounded: first he carried a junior sergeant to a safe place, and then saved another soldier. Returning for the third wounded comrade, he himself found himself under the sights of an enemy drone. As a result of the strike, the Hero was killed.
Rivne oblast
Rivne oblast will shelter orphans from Zaporizhzhia orphanage. The oblast is preparing to accept 17 children from the specialized orphanage Sonechko in Zaporizhzhia. Some of them are disabled.
