The enemy inflicted 2 missile strikes on the civilian infrastructure of Kostiantynivka in Donetsk oblast, as well as 8 air strikes on the positions of our troops. There were more than 40 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems.
There is still a danger of the enemy launching air and missile strikes throughout Ukraine.
Towards Volyn, Polissya, Seversky and Sloboda, the situation did not undergo significant changes, no offensive groups of the enemy were found. The enemy continues to suffer losses. Thus, to replenish the lack of manpower, military doctors arrived at the Novotroitsk Central District Hospital in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region. As of January 12, 2023, there were up to 160 wounded occupants in the hospital equipped as a military hospital.
Ukrainian aviation inflicted 9 strikes on buildups of the invaders, and our units of rocket troops and artillery hit the control point, 6 buildups of manpower, 1 anti-aircraft missile system and 3 enemy ammunition depots.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, hellish battles for Soledar continue. The Russians are spreading a fake about the alleged withdrawal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Soledar. A soldier with the call sign “Madiar” published evidence that the Ukrainian military in the city center is fighting fierce battles.
Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov announces that every day, the russians lose about 500-600 soldiers killed. While Ukraine is losing a tenth of this amount. He also noted that the fiercest fighting is currently ongoing near Soledar and Bakhmut.
Recent war events in the east of Ukraine
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the invaders shelled at least 19 settlements. Only in the afternoon 15 settlements were attacked.
The enemy continues to shell Dvorichna settlement of Kupiansk district with artillery. Two women, 59 and 64 years old, were killed as a result of shelling of private buildings. Another 63-year-old woman was injured, doctors assess her condition as moderate and provide all necessary assistance.
The enemy continues to shell the border settlements of Chuhuiv, Kharkiv and Kupiansk districts. Specifically, Dvorichna, Kupiansk, Ohirtseve, Ridkodub, Strilecha and other cities and settlements were under enemy attack.
In Kupiansk, a 5-storey residential building, private buildings and outbuildings were damaged as a result of enemy shelling. A 75-year-old man was injured and hospitalized in moderate condition. A 68-year-old man was injured in Dvorichna, Kupiansk region. His condition is of moderate severity.

Donetsk Regional police reported that russian troops launched 26 strikes on Donetsk oblast. 17 settlements were under attack. Seven residential buildings, enterprises, a garage and a car were destroyed and damaged.
Spokesman of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Serhii Cherevatyi, said that there were over 200 attacks on Ukrainian positions towards Bakhmut. Russians are unable to break through the Ukrainian line and continue to lose people in the assaults.
One person was injured as a result of massive shelling of Kurakhove. At least 8 private buildings and 4 apartment buildings were damaged in the city, one of the shells hit the territory of a utility company.
Russians did not stop shelling along the entire frontline at night and in the morning.
Towards Volnovakha, Vuhledar and settlements of the community were shelled: 1 building in Bohoiavlenka and 3 buildings in Novoukrainka were damaged. There were no casualties.
Towards Donetsk, the Kurakhove community continues to be shelled: an enterprise in Kurakhivka and 3 buildings in Kurakhove were damaged. There were isolated attacks in Avdiivka at night and Grad MRLs and artillery shelling in the morning. One civilian was killed in the city the day before. A building was also damaged in Tonenke of the Ocheretyne community and Maksymilianivka of the Marinka community.
Towards Horlivka, intense shelling of Paraskoviivka and Soledar continues. In the Bakhmut community, 1 person was injured in Klishchiivka and a building in Khromove damaged. The enemy hit the building of the former institute in Kostiantynivka – no casualties.
Towards Lysychansk, there were more than 30 attacks in Torske and Zarichne of the Lyman community, it was also noisy in Serebrianka and Siversk – no casualties.
Hostilities continued all night in Soledar. Ukrainian troops are trying to hold the city’s defense. According to Deputy Minister of Defence, Hanna Maliar, russian troops have sent almost all their main forces towards Donetsk and keep a high intensity of the offensive.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6 pm on 13 January the fighting for Soledar continues.
Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, reported that russians killed 2 civilians in Avdiivka and Blahodatne. Another 2 people were injured.
The Defence Forces of Ukraine repelled enemy attacks near Bilohorivka, Makiivka and Stelmakhivka yesterday. Towards Kupiansk, the invaders shelled Stelmakhivka. Towards Lyman, Chervonopopivka, Dibrova, Hrekivka, Makiivka and Nevske were attacked with tanks and artillery.
Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Haidai, reported that Russians sent troops from all surrounding villages to Svatove-Kreminna to hold the line. Ukrainian troops continue to advance in Luhansk oblast. He added that fighting near Bilohorivka continues almost every day, but the settlement remains under full control of Ukrainian troops.
Luhansk Regional Military Administration informed that another wave of mobilisation started in Alchevsk, Luhansk oblast, occupied since 2014, on 9 January. The Administration noted that to replenish losses in manpower, Russians do not stop mobilizing the male population in the temporarily occupied territory. The RMA also reported that hospitals in Bilokurakyne, Novoaydar and Starobilsk, occupied since 2022, and Dovzhansk are completely overcrowded with the injured. In the latter, due to lack of beds, the maternity ward was liberated for the needs of the injured Russian troops. The surrounding sanatoriums are already occupied.
Also, the RMA noted that near Kreminna the invaders may prepare provocations, disguised as Ukrainian troops.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
The head of the KCMA Serhii Popko said that training in belarus should not be perceived as a direct threat of a new attack on Kyiv or concentrated missile strikes on the capital. The military leadership of Ukraine constantly conducts measures to prepare management agencies, accumulate material and technical means, and equip the territory with the aim of preventing and prejudicing the actions of the aggressor.
The Kyiv RMA reported that planned work on the destruction of explosive objects continues in the Kyiv oblast. Units of the State Emergency Service eliminate explosive objects in Bucha and Vyshgorod regions. The RMA appealed to the residents of the communities to remain calm.
The investigators of the National Police sent to the court an indictment against a russian soldier, who committed war crimes against the civilian population in the territory of the village of Moschun, Bucha region. A 29-year-old resident of Kostroma, the deputy commander of a combat vehicle, together with other russian military personnel kept prisoners in utility rooms, abused and tortured them, took vehicles, valuables, clothes and food from civilians.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal announced that the first reconstruction projects are being launched in the Kyiv oblast as part of the UNITED24 platform – 18 residential buildings will be restored in Irpin, Borodyanka, Hostomel, the villages of Buzove and Mila. The government allocated the first 465 million hryvnias in order to start reconstruction now. More than 4K people will be able to return to their homes.
Head of the Kyiv RMA Oleksiy Kuleba said that the Champion stadium, which was shelled by the russian invaders in March, will be rebuilt in the city of Irpin as part of the UNITED24 project. Before the full-scale war, it was the community’s largest sports facility with stands for 1K seats, where all-Ukrainian and international competitions were held. Andriy Shevchenko, a legendary football player and ambassador of the UNITED24 platform, took on the issue of stadium restoration.
Head of the Kyiv RMA, Oleksii Kuleba said that 421 Points of Invincibility are already operating on the territory of the oblast. The largest number of such Points are deployed in educational institutions – 144 locations, as well as in administrative buildings – 94. Points are also opened by the forces of the State Emergency Service and responsible businesses.
The Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko announced that tram routes of the Borshchagivska high-speed tram line are being restored in the city. This became possible thanks to the joint work of energy workers and transporters of the capital.
The first in Ukraine Information Space on Safety Rules for children was opened in Kyiv oblast. The safe space has become operational in the Nemishaeve National Technical University. The State Emergency Service, the National Police, the RMA, representatives of local authorities, the United Nations Children’s Fund UNICEF Ukraine and artists congratulated the children on the joyful event.
Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi visited Kyiv by train to personally show his support for Ukraine. As Ukrzaliznytsia reported, thanks to the company’s personal contributions and donations from benefactors, Uber collected $3 million for emergency vehicles through the UNITED24 platform.
The Main Department of the State Tax Service of the Zhytomyr oblast reported that taxpayers of the oblast transferred more than UAH 935 million in military levies during 2022 to support the Armed Forces. Compared to last year, tax revenues increased by 73.2% or UAH 395 million.
The Children’s Service of the Zhytomyr RMA reported that due to the full-scale war, many children were left without parental care – 39 children were adopted in Zhytomyr oblast last year, 29 married couples are candidates for adoption. Also, during 2022, 334 children received care. There are a total of 693 orphans and children deprived of parental care on the regional register of children who can be adopted.
The Zwiagel city council reported that the First Lady of the Republic of Poland Agatha Korhauser-Duda donated aid to a family-type orphanage in the city. The family, which is raising 9 status children, three of whom have disabilities, received the necessary parts for a hearing aid, a modern TV, a washing machine, a generator, food and personal hygiene products. The Hlukhiv City Council reported that the families of the dead border guards from Hlukhiv received the “For Courage” orders of the III degree. Senior Master Sergeant Oleksandr Vashuk was killed in March while defending Chernihiv. Oleksandr Popovchenko gave his life for his native Hlukhiv region.

The Trostyanets social services center repaired the car damaged by the occupiers. Help was provided by Swiss partners: about UAH 90K came from the MedAir company to restore the car needed for the work of the mobile brigade.
The unemployed will be able to get a job in Sumy oblast at Invincibility Centres. The new direction of employment is due to the need for workers who could be on duty at numerous points to support citizens. An employee of the centre works as a duty officer, registers visitors, provides them with comfortable conditions and provides assistance.

Chernihivoblenergo reported that 54 Chernihiv boiler houses and heating stations will no longer stop work due to hourly power outages. This number of heat and water supply facilities was reloaded on the lines that are not subject to scheduled outages. Currently, most of the boiler plants involved in electricity supply do not depend on schedules.
Representatives of the Chernihiv RMA and volunteers collected and delivered gifts to the front with their own efforts. Project participant Vitalii Bryzhalov informs that a team of volunteers from Kryvyi Rih developed a kamikaze drone. According to him, this is a low-cost disposable aircraft for which it will be possible to establish rapid mass production.
According to the Vinnytsia City Council, the second tranche of assistance for Vinnytsia from the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This equipment is for Invincibility Centres as in the first delivery received in December. This time generators, heaters, modular kitchens and more arrived.

Head of the Poltava Regional State Administration Dmitry Lunin says that the educators of Poltava oblast were given chromebooks. These are laptops that run on the Chrome operating system. In Cherkasy, volunteers purchased 35 Mavic 3 drones thanks to donations, for which the military makes inscriptions on shells, or even airplanes. On January 13, they handed over three drones to the military, whose unit will soon go to the front line.

Yesterday, January 12, the occupiers shelled the settlements of Novodanylivka, Bilohiria, Dorozhnianka, Poltavka, Charivne, Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, Charivne, Mala Tokmachka, Olhivske, Shevchenko, Malynivka, Shcherbaky, Zaliznychne, Orikhiv, Stepove, Kamianske. The police received 27 reports about the destruction of houses (apartments) and infrastructure facilities as a result of shelling by russian military personnel.
The General Staff reported that the enemy is carrying out filtering operations in the Melitopol region. The occupiers pay special attention to telephones during the inspection, looking for confirmation of cooperation with the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
Yesterday, January 12, at 10:14 and 13:00, the enemy attacked the Ochakiv community. As a result of the attack, a residential building was damaged, one person was injured. Also yesterday, the enemy shelled the open territories of the Kutsurub community. There were no damages or injuries.
The situation on the Kinburn spit as of January 13 remains tense due to weather conditions. Stormy winds make it difficult to investigate the results of the work of the Defense Forces. Natalia Humeniuk, the head of the coordination press center of the South’s security and defense forces, told that the russian army keeps Ochakiv’s port infrastructure and sea transport routes under pressure, not allowing Mykolaiv oblast’s sea vessels to be drawn into the “grain corridor”.

During the past week 194 vessels passed through the Kerch-Yenikal Strait to the Black Sea and 69 vessels to the Sea of Azov in the interests of the russian federation. The specified vessels were operating in violation of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) by turning off automatic identification systems (AIS).
9 ships left Ukrainian ports past week as part of the Black Sea Grain Initiative. There were more than 200K tons of grain and other products on board.
Today, heads of communities and agricultural enterprises of the Podilsk region handed over a batch of thermal imagers and a pickup truck for the anti-aircraft defense units of Odesa oblast. One of the cars, which were handed over earlier, is already in action and helps our defenders to successfully carry out combat tasks in the Odesa sky defense. The military equipped the body of the pickup truck with weapons capable of effectively shooting down enemy drones.
Ukrainian medics will undergo a training course on aeromedical evacuation and providing medical assistance to military personnel and civilians with severe thermal injuries. The training will take place in Poland. Doctors from the Odesa Regional Emergency Center will participate in the training.
The russian invaders shelled a bus park in Kherson at night. As a result of the shelling, 16 buses were damaged, cars, warehouses and a security building were also mutilated. According to preliminary information, one of the guards was wounded. Shell fragments also damaged the power grid.

Yesterday, January 12, the police opened 34 criminal proceedings on the facts of war crimes committed by the russian army in Kherson oblast. Stabilization measures continue in the de-occupied territories, and police officers continue to uncover crimes committed by the russian military. Four local residents were killed during enemy shelling of the village in the village of Posad-Pokrovske from March to November of last year. Reports about looting by the russian military, mainly about the theft of motor vehicles, as well as about intentional damage to warehouses and agricultural machinery, continue to come from the residents of Velyka Oleksandrivka.

This spring, the ultra-modern rehabilitation clinic Superhumans Center will open in Lviv oblast. The UN Refugee Agency and partners sent warm clothes, namely, 50 thermal blankets, 400 sweaters and 342 pairs of winter shoes, for IDPs to medical and psychological aid volunteers of Lviv oblast. People will receive aid upon arrival at the Main Railway Station of Lviv.
Three policemen of Rivne oblast received the award For Service and Valor. The awards were presented to them after the command and staff exercises of the joint defense forces, which took place the other day in Varasha and lasted for two days
