During the day, the russian federation launched another airstrike with Iranian Shahed-136/131 strike UAVs against Ukraine. The Air Force and the air defense of other components of the Defense Forces, destroyed all 15 enemy UAVs. The enemy also launched 1 missile and 47 airstrikes and fired 23 times from multiple launch rocket systems at Ukrainian troops’ positions and settlements. Unfortunately, there are civilian casualties.
There is still a threat of missile and air strikes launched across Ukraine.
There were about 30 combat engagements during the day.
Towards Volyn and Polissia, the situation remained unchanged.
Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the enemy launched airstrikes in the areas of Veterynarne, Kharkiv, and Vesele in Kharkiv oblast. He fired mortar and artillery shells at more than 30 settlements, including Karpovychi and Tymonovychi in Chernihiv oblast; Bachevsk, Vyshenky, Volfyno, Kindrativka, Pokrovka in Sumy oblast and Udy, Ternova, Pletenivka, Okhrimivka, Vilkhuvatka in Kharkiv oblast.
Towards Kupiansk, the enemy launched airstrikes in the vicinity of Petropavlivka and Kyslivka. Odradne, Zakhidne, Petropavlivka and Podoly in Kharkiv oblast came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.
Towards Lyman, Nevske and Bilohorivka in Luhansk oblast and Verkhnekamianske, Spirne and Torske in Donetsk oblast came under enemy artillery fire.
Towards Bakhmut, defense forces are holding back the enemy south and southeast of Ivanivka. The enemy conducted airstrikes near the settlements of Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske and Druzhba. More than 15 settlements suffered from enemy artillery shelling, including Razdolivka, Markove, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Bila Hora and Niu York in Donetsk oblast.
Towards Avdiivka, the enemy conducted an air strike near Avdiivka. It carried out unsuccessful offensives north and southeast of Avdiivka and southeast of Pervomaiske in Donetsk oblast. Stepove, Lastochkine, Avdiivka and Pervomaiske came under artillery fire.
Towards Marinka, Ukrainian defense forces continue to hold back the russian offensive near the town of Marinka. The enemy conducted airstrikes near Krasnohorivka and Marinka. They shelled the settlements of Krasnohorivka, Hostre, Heorhiivka, Marinka and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk oblast.
Towards Shakhtarsk, the enemy conducted airstrikes in the areas of Makarivka and Rivnopil village. The enemy made unsuccessful attempts to regain the lost position west of Staromaiorske and east of Urozhayne. Vremivka, Rivne, Novoselka in Donetsk oblast came under artillery fire.
Towards Zaporizhzhia, the enemy conducted airstrikes near Uspenivka and Mala Tokmachka in Zaporizhzhia oblast. The russian military is focusing its main efforts on preventing further advancement of our troops. More than 15 settlements came under artillery fire, including Novodarivka, Chervone, Charivne, Shcherbaky, Pavlivka, Kamianske in Zaporizhzhia oblast and Nikopol in Dnipropetrovsk oblast.
Towards Kherson, the enemy launched an airstrike near Odradokamianka. Over 20 settlements came under enemy artillery fire, including Osokorivka, Kachkarivka, Novoberyslav, Kozatske, Kherson and Pervomaiske in Kherson oblast, and Dmytrivka and Ochakiv in Mykolaiv oblast.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct offensive operations towards Melitopol and Berdiansk , consolidating their positions and conducting counter-battery operations.
Aviation of the defense forces conducted 8 strikes on buildups of enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment and 2 on the occupiers’ anti-aircraft missile systems.
Rocket and artillery units destroyed 10 artillery pieces at firing positions, 1 radar station, 1 command post, 1 buildup of weapons and military equipment, 2 air defense facilities, and 3 enemy ammunition depots.
Yuriy Belousov, Head of the Department for Combating Crimes Committed in the Context of Armed Conflict, informs that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 10,749 people have been killed. Another 15,599 people have injuries of varying severity. Of this number, 499 were children, and 1,090 wounded. We understand that these figures are just the tip of the iceberg. When all the Ukrainian territories are de-occupied, the numbers will increase many times, perhaps tenfold. In Belousov’s opinion, there will be tens of thousands of dead in Mariupol alone.
Minister of Education Oksen Lisovyi says that the subject “Defense of Ukraine” will be completely updated in Ukraine. In September, a pilot project of the updated discipline will be launched, and children will be taught first aid, mine safety, drone control, and terrain orientation.

Kharkiv oblast
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, russian troops conducted airstrikes near Kozacha Lopan, Petropavlivka, Kyslivka and Ivanivka. At least 12 settlements were also under mortar and artillery attacks.
Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, said that in Kucherivka village, Kupiansk region, an outbuilding and a car were damaged by mortar shelling.
In Vilkhuvatka village, Kupiansk region, a private building and outbuildings were damaged as a result of mortar shelling. In Podoly village, Kupiansk region, a forest fire broke out as a result of hostile shelling.
At about 9:05 am in Yavirske village, Izium region, a T-150 tractor with remote control exploded in a field.
Mine clearance is ongoing. Yesterday pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service defused 47 explosive ordnance.
Maryna Shevchenko, Spokeswoman of Kharkivoblenerho JSC, said that energy specialists are completing the restoration of power supply in Zamulivka, Vovchansk community. About 90% of the lines there were damaged, poles destroyed and wires cut.
Press service of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine reported that a machine for preparing the soil for demining, developed by Kharkiv engineers, has received a certificate and confirmation which allows for mass production.
Donetsk oblast
According to Donetsk Regional Military Administration, on 2 August russians killed one civilian in Druzhkivka and 5 more people were injured in the region.
Towards Volnovakha, russians shelled Vuhledar 26 times with artillery, without casualties.
Towards Donetsk, 1 person was injured in Avdiivka. In Kurakhove community, Kurakhove, Kurakhivka and Hostre were shelled and as a result, the roof of a medical institution was damaged. A building in Halytsynivka of Novohrodivka community was damaged and a building in Lastochkyne of Ocheretyne community destroyed.
Towards Horlivka, Toretsk community, 3 buildings in Toretsk and 4 in Zalizne were damaged. The enemy dropped an aerial bomb on Niu-York, there were no casualties or destruction. In Chasiv Yar community, 3 private buildings and a non-residential building were damaged.
Towards Lysychansk, a building in Siversk was damaged and there were 12 attacks on Lyman community.
Donetsk police informed that yesterday the invaders shelled Memryk village with Uragan MRLs and attacked Vuhledar 26 times. In just one day, russian troops shelled 11 cities and villages and 20 times targeted civilians.
Referring to Donetsk Regional Military Administration, in Marinka community, russian invaders destroyed all educational institutions, including an inclusive resource centre and a sports school. Specifically, 7 kindergartens and 8 schools suffered.
In Kramatorsk, all the mobile concrete shelters that were planned to be installed, were put into operation. According to Kramatorsk City Military Administration, there are 21 shelters in the city, three large ones for one hundred people and 18 small ones for 20 people.
Rescuers helped evacuate residents of Donetsk oblast from Ocheretyne and Avdiivka frontline settlements. Over the day, 57 people, including 26 children, left for safe regions of Ukraine.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, russian invaders continue to mobilize prisoners. Terrorists have received a task to “mobilize” 1K prisoners and suspects in crimes in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk oblast. The General Staff added that in case of injury, people will not be discharged or demobilized, but returned to the front.
Petro Andriushchenko, Mariupol Mayor’s Councillor, said that in the temporarily occupied Mariupol, guerrillas poisoned russian officers. Two of them have already died in hospital.
Native Colours 4.5.0 exhibition of paintings by Kramatorsk artist Artur Novikov, who stood up to defend the country from the first days of russia’s invasion, opened at Lviv Palace of Culture named after Hnat Khotkevych. It was presented by the soldier’s mother, Nataliia Koretska.
Luhansk oblast
Almost half of the engagements towards Lyman-Kupiansk were in Serebrianka forest, Luhansk oblast. According to Serhii Cherevatyi, Spokesman of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 49 russian servicemen were eliminated and 115 injured yesterday.
Based on the information provided by Luhansk Regional Military Administration, the enemy has significantly increased its attack potential. But Ukrainian defenders are resisting all enemy attacks and inflicting fire damage. Even so russians do not stop air raids on the de-occupied territories. Yesterday, for instance, they targeted Bilohorivka from the sky. Nevske and Bilohorivka were under artillery attack from the invaders.
Children aged 10 to 16 who return to Sievierodonetsk from russian summer camps are facing so-called ‘individual conversations’ with relevant occupation services. In addition, their mobile phones are carefully checked. The teenagers had almost no access to the Internet for more than a year. Therefore, the collaborators suspect that when they leave the city, they can keep in touch with their peers who have evacuated and get news from sources that are not influenced by russian propaganda. The invaders also fear that the children may report on the latest events taking place in Sievierodonetsk. If suspected, the invaders invite parents to such ‘conversations’.
During the day, school No. 14 in Lysychansk operates as the headquarters of the ruling party, where civilians are seen to gather. However, at night, the building serves as a shelter for russian soldiers, who thus cover themselves with the local population.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
At night, russia launched another attack on Kyiv using Shahed barrage munitions. According to KCMA, air defense forces destroyed 15 air targets on the approach to the capital. They noted that the night air alert in Kyiv lasted exactly 3 hours and became the 820th for the city since the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion.
Over the past day, operational services have been registering the consequences of the enemy attack with Shahed drones on the night of August 2. According to Kyiv Regional Military Administration, a total of four residential buildings were damaged by the russian attack. A blast wave knocked out and partially destroyed the roof of one of the region’s medical centers, and damaged two non-residential buildings and two cars.
Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of Kyiv Regional State Administration, announced that there was a meeting of the Ukrainian-British working group on infrastructure, where priorities for rebuilding Kyiv oblast were presented. The reconstruction priorities include a hospital in Makariv that will be able to accommodate 9,500 patients after renovation; the building of the Vasylkiv Vocational Lyceum; reconstruction of a center for social and psychological rehabilitation of children in the village of Kopyliv and a retirement home in Rzhyshchev.
Mayor Vitalii Klychko informed that two houses on Hlybochytska Street in Kyiv that were damaged by russian missile strikes have been completely restored. According to him, last year 11 of the most damaged buildings in the capital were rebuilt, and 6 have already been restored this year.
The reconstruction of Borodyanka Rehabilitation Center is underway and is scheduled to open in October. This was announced by Minister of Veterans Affairs Yulia Laputina during a tour of the construction site with former Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic. Borodyanka Center will become a pilot project for creating a modern model of social and psychological rehabilitation for veterans, including psychological, legal, social, informational, and other services.
Kyiv City Council reported that in September, Kyiv will present Ukrainian culture at the La Mercè festival in Barcelona. It is also planned to cooperate between the museums of the two twin cities. The Spanish side provided financial and organizational support for the participation of the Ukrainian capital.
Zhytomyr oblast
Zhytomyr is completing repairs of a boiler house damaged by a blast wave during an airstrike on March 1, 2022. According to Zhytomyrteplocomunenergo, the boiler house serves two city hospitals. As of today, the boiler house has partially replaced equipment, installed new economical boilers, replaced the hot water supply system, and repaired and glazed all windows.
Lightning struck a mined area on the road between the villages of Zalissia and Hrezlya in Narodytsia community, causing detonation and subsequent destruction of the road. The village military administration reports that no one was killed or injured.
Zhytomyr City Council reported that Zhytomyr military received two off-road vehicles and a drone purchased for the money raised at the auction. The charity event took place on July 10 and featured a flag signed by Valerii Zaluzhnyi, a javelin, a boxing glove signed by Vitalii Klychko, and other items. In total, more than UAH 1.2 million was raised to help Ukrainian defenders. It is noted that the Union of TV and Film Industry Entrepreneurs, which organized the event, has already donated 800 cars to the Armed Forces since the beginning of the war.
Sumy oblast
On August 2, there were 35 attacks by the enemy during the day. A total of 197 strikes were recorded. 35 settlements in 8 territorial communities came under fire: Krasnopillia, Bilopillia, Khotyn, Myropillia, Esman, Seredyno-Buda, Velyka Pysarivka and Nova Sloboda. 18 residential buildings, outbuildings, a garage, a car, a road surface and a gas pipeline were damaged. The shelling was carried out with mortars, artillery, grenade launchers, machine guns, and MLRSs. 16 shrapnel rockets were launched from an aircraft, and 21 unguided rockets from a helicopter.
The enemy made 2 attacks at night and in the morning. There were 15 explosions. Two settlements in Krasnopillia and Yunakivka communities were shelled. According to Sumy RMA, the enemy fired mortars and multiple rocket launchers.
Lieutenant General Serhiy Naiev, Commander of the Joint Forces of the AFU, reported that in July, russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups made four attempts to break through the northern border in Chernihiv and Sumy oblasts. These incidents happened in the nighttime, but this did not prevent border guards at observation posts from spotting the saboteurs in a timely manner and opening fire.
As reported by Sumy Regional Military Administration, on August 2, EOD operators of the State Emergency Service disposed of 5 russian munitions in Sumy, Shostka and Okhtyrka regions.
A project for a Memorial of Glory is being developed in Sumy at Baranivka Cemetery. According to Mayor Oleksandr Lysenko, the memorial will be dedicated to fellow countrymen who were killed defending their homeland.

Chernihiv oblast
The State Border Guard Service reported that over the past day, russians fired 5 times at the border of Chernihiv oblast from their territory. Overall, there were 40 strikes from mortars and barrel artillery. Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, and Snovsk communities were shelled.
Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv RMA, said that Chernihiv residents submitted the largest number of applications for destroyed housing compensation in Diia App on the first day of the registration. A total of 75 applications were submitted, 40 of which came from Chernihiv residents. Under the second phase of the eRestoration program, which was launched in Ukraine on August 1, the owners of housing destroyed as a result of the hostilities will be reimbursed.
Chernihiv has allocated UAH 25 million from the city budget to create and equip a memorial complex for the fallen defenders of Ukraine in Yalivshchyna. The decision was made at a meeting of the Chernihiv City Council. The memorial complex will accommodate 150-160 burials, have a central alley, a place for funerals, and walkways.

Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Mykola Lukashuk, Head of the Regional Council, reported that two regions of Dnipropetrovsk oblast were terrorized by russians at night: Nikopol and Synelnykivka. In the first one, they targeted Chervonohryhorivka community twice with heavy artillery. More than a dozen shells were launched. Four private houses were damaged. The networks of one of the transport companies, a school and power lines were also hit. The windows were shattered and the walls were damaged. The aggressor also attacked an educational institution in Pokrovska community of Synelnykove region. It was partially destroyed.
Serhii Lysak, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration reported that 60% of the educational institution in Synelnykove region, Dnipropetrovsk oblast was destroyed after a night shelling. The ceilings, the roof and a school bus were damaged, and all windows smashed. The rubble is still being cleared at the scene. During the day, the occupiers attacked Nikopol twice with heavy artillery. They hit the networks of one of the utility companies.

Two neurosurgeons and a maxillofacial specialist from Dnipropetrovsk oblast went on a medical trip to Kherson oblast. The doctors will spend two weeks helping patients and sharing their experience.
Vinnytsia oblast
Over 2 K devices have been manufactured and delivered to the Armed Forces for free in a year and a half by workers of the Payalo UA online community. The center was founded by Vladyslav Honcharuk, who is from Bershadi, Vinnytsia oblast.
Kirovohrad oblast
According to Andrii Raikovych, Head of Kirovohrad Regional State Administration, Valeriu Kiver, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Moldova visited Kirovohrad oblast. The Ambassador got acquainted with the potential of Kirovohrad oblast and emphasized the areas of possible cooperation.
In the village of Dmytrivka, russian books are being collected for the third time. They are handed over for waste paper to buy medicines for the Ukrainian military.
Poltava oblast

Cherkasy oblast
The German volunteer organization Ukraine Hilfe has donated humanitarian aid to Cherkasy oblast, including long-term storage products (canned food), clothing, camouflage nets, etc.
Dnipro SUP Team, a Cherkasy community, raised UAH 260 K to support the army. Thanks to this, Cherkasy paddlers joined the collection of 100 probes for sappers from a 3D forge, purchased a rangefinder for a motorized rifle battalion, a starlink for scouts, drones, quadcopters, Kevlar plates, and more.

Zaporizhzhia oblast
On the morning of August 3, sappers discovered two russian anti-personnel mines on the way to the Zaporizhzhia NPP. This is the route the IAEA mission is taking to the plant.
Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration reported that on August 2, russian troops attacked settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast 80 times. They used various types of weapons, including S-300 missiles, KABs, MLRS, artillery and drones. A 58-year-old woman was killed as a result of the artillery shelling of Preobrazhenka.
Mykolaiv oblast
On 2 August, at 12:17, 18:59, and 18:22, the waters of Ochakiv community and the coast of Ochakiv were shelled. Mykolaiv Regional State Administration reported that there were no casualties.
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine, in collaboration with the Government of Denmark, has purchased 182 generators to support the power supply in Mykolaiv Oblast. The total cost of the purchase is over USD 220 K (equivalent to more than UAH 8 million). These generators will fulfill energy needs of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES), the National Police of Ukraine (NPU), courts, educational institutions, NGOs, local governments, and social and medical institutions operating in Mykolaiv oblast. The delivery of the generators to the respective partners is scheduled for August.
On 3 August, the Department of Architecture and Urban Development of Mykolaiv City Council announced two open all-Ukrainian competitions. The first competition is for the “Memorial Complex on the territory of the Central City Cemetery on Kherson Highway in Ingulskyi District of Mykolaiv, dedicated to the soldiers-defenders of Ukraine who died during the armed aggression of the russian federation (work of memorial art).” The second competition is for the “Memorial Complex on the territory of the cemetery in Korabelnyi District of Mykolaiv, dedicated to the soldiers-defenders of Ukraine (work of memorial art).”
Odesa oblast
The United Nations will extend its assistance to Odesa residents by setting up four power plants with a combined capacity of 29.7 MW. These power plants are essential to ensure the continuous operation of Odesa’s boiler houses. The initiative is part of a project aimed at enhancing energy security for the city’s critical infrastructure. This project was made possible through a Memorandum of Understanding signed with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in April, and it has received funding support from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
In the aftermath of the powerful russian strikes on Odesa in July, the city has taken steps to conserve damaged facilities and is actively seeking funding for this purpose. Museum for Change in collaboration with international partners, has already provided significant financial support to conserve damaged objects in Odesa. Additionally, the US World Foundation has expressed its readiness to offer grant support.
Despite the damage to the port infrastructure in Odesa oblast due to russian attacks, the ports remain committed to fulfilling their obligations under the Grain Deal. As of today, there have been seven attacks on Ukraine’s port and grain infrastructure. Nevertheless, Ukraine is determined to ensure the smooth operation of the ports and has taken measures to enhance security, as stated by Natalia Humeniuk, Head of the Joint Coordination Press Centre of the Southern Defence Forces of Ukraine.
Ukrainian farmers are making a public call to the United Kingdom and France, urging them to join efforts in unblocking the grain corridor and extending the Black Sea Grain Initiative for the 2023/2024 marketing year. The farmers seek support from UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and French President Emmanuel Macron to address the challenges in Ukrainian grain exports through the Black Sea.
Kherson oblast
On the morning of August 3, the russian military dropped 3 aerial bombs on the village of Kozatske, Kherson oblast. Information on casualties and destruction is being clarified.
According to Andrii Yermak, Head of the Presidential Office, on the morning of August 3, the russian army attacked Kherson with artillery. They hit public transportation. Preliminary, three people were injured.
In the center of Kherson, the russian army shelled St. Catherine’s Cathedral. Three people, who were traveling in a trolleybus past the cathedral, were injured. They were hospitalized.

During the extinguishing of the fire caused by the shelling of the church, there was a repeated shelling. Equipment was damaged. Four employees of the State Emergency Service were injured and hospitalized.
Kherson Regional Military Administration said that at about 16:50, the russian army attacked the central part of Kherson. A volunteer from Norway came under fire and was injured.
Natalia Humeniuk, Head of the press center of the Southern Defense Forces,stated that in Kherson oblast, the Defense Forces destroyed three ammunition depots, a drone control center and an observation post of russian troops.
Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson Regional Military Administration, reported that on August 2, the russian army fired 55 times at Kherson oblast, launched 264 shells at the oblast, and 72 at Kherson. Residential areas of the settlements, two banks, a consulate, and a pre-trial detention center were hit. Two people were injured.
A bus was brought to the village of Nova Kuban of Borozen territorial community. The vehicle was transferred from Luxembourg to transport children to school in the future.

Lutsk City Council sent a motor boat to the Lyubart Special Operations Forces detachment. Funds for these needs are one-day earnings of employees of Lutsk City Council. Zakarpattia oblast
The Office of the President informed that Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, held an emergency meeting with heads of diplomatic institutions of Ukraine in foreign countries, during which he named major foreign policy guidelines for the next political season.
The President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a coordination meeting in the RMA. Economic, social and security issues in Zakarpattia oblast were under discussion.
The Conference of Ambassadors was held in Zakarpattia. Olena Zelenska, First Lady of Ukraine, took part in the event. Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
The village of Bodnars, Kalusa community, equipped a shelter for IDPs. For this purpose, the administrative building was thoroughly renovated. The shelter was equippedwith furniture, household appliances and everything necessary for a comfortable stay of IDPs with the funds of international charitable organizations.
Lviv oblast
The RMA held a meeting with Sergio Javicoli, Director General of Communications and European and International Relations of the Ministry of Health of Italy. The Italian delegation arrived in Lviv oblast to see how rehabilitation centers work to provide adequate assistance.
Belz City Council received 6 monoblocs to provide administrative services to community residents thanks to the Strengthening Resilience of Communities in Oblasts of Ukraine project, which is implemented by the United Nations Development Program in Ukraine with the support of the Government of Great Britain.
Maksym Kozhushka, fallen soldier from Lviv oblast who served in Artan, the special unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine, was awarded with the 3th Degree For Courage Order. The award was presented to the defender’s wife.
The RMA reported that Morshyn city council organized a summer vacation for 18 gifted children from the Hero city of Okhtyrka.
Rivne oblast
The RMA held a meeting of the Coordinating Center for the support of the civilian population. They discussed the rights of IDP children, psychological assistance, humanitarian projects in communities and a mental health program in Rivne oblast.
In Rivne oblast, a network of mental health specialists will be created. Currently 34 psychiatrists work in the region, and 977 psychological service specialists – in educational institutions.
Ternopil oblast
The RMA reported that some medical institutions of Ternopil oblast have signed contracts under the Medical Guarantee Program with the new package Support and Treatment of Adults and Children with Mental Disorders at the primary Level of Medical Care.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
The RMA held a meeting with representatives of Shemud commune of Wejerów district of the Pomeranian Voivodeship of the Republic of Poland. Humanitarian aid was discussed.
Khmelnytskyi is the first in Ukraine to officially implement the Shelter chatbot pilot project. It is a joint initiative of Khmelnytskyi RMA and the Stfalcon IT company. In the chatbot, it will be possible to quickly find the nearest shelter and send information about its state.
Chernivtsi oblast
The RMA held a meeting of the Coordinating Council on Mental Health. The plan of measures for mental health and psychological support of Chernivtsi oblast residents has been approved.
International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)
Denys Shmyhal, Prime Minister, announced that Ukraine spends about UAH 2 trillion per year to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to him, in peacetime, the revenue part of Ukraine’s budget amounted to UAH 1.3 trillion. Currently, the state survives thanks to the financial support of partners, as well as grants and loans.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, announced that Belgium, Denmark, Ireland, Iceland, Spain, Norway, the Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Finland, the Czech Republic and Sweden joined the G7 declaration on security guarantees for Ukraine.
The EU expanded sanctions against belarus for helping the russian aggressor. Sanctions impose a ban on the export of goods and technologies that contribute to the country’s military improvement. In particular, firearms, ammunition and technologies used in aircraft construction and the space industry.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, announced that training of Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighters will begin this month.
Boris Pistorius, Head of the Ministry of Defense of Germany, announced that the government intends to continue helping Ukraine with military equipment and ammunition. According to him, Germany is a leader in supplying Ukraine with air defense, engineering and armored vehicles, as well as training.
The EU condemned russia’s threats to use nuclear weapons in its aggressive war against Ukraine and emphasized moscow’s compliance with its commitments, in particular in the statement with China. In addition, the EU expressed alarm over russia’s statement about its readiness for a nuclear test and called on it to adhere to its obligations as a party to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT).
