War in Ukraine today: latest news, 27 June, 2024 (photo)

It has been the 855th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 7pm:   

Throughout the day, the enemy is looking for ways to break into our defences and try to drive Ukrainian units out of the occupied positions. The number of combat engagements along the entire frontline increased to 104. The situation is the hottest towards Toretsk and Pokrovsk, which account for almost half of all russian attacks so far.

At the same time, Ukrainian defenders are giving a worthy rebuff to the invaders, destroying enemy personnel and equipment.

Towards Kharkiv, the aggressor attempted to attack here three times today.

Fighting continues near Vovchansk.

Towards Kupiansk, Ukrainian defenders have repelled 10 assault attacks by the occupying forces since the beginning of the day. The battle near Synkivka continues. The outskirts of Petropavlivka were under an airstrike.

Towards Kramatorsk, the enemy increased pressure near Chasiv Yar. Two battles are taking place. In total, the enemy attacked here five times today.

Towards Toretsk, the number of enemy attacks increased to 25. Ukrainian defence forces repelled 22 russian offensive attempts, three attacks are still ongoing. The aggressor used aviation and bombed Toretsk with unmanned aerial vehicles.

Towards Pokrovsk, the invaders do not reduce the pressure. Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has attacked the defensive lines of Ukrainian defenders 23 times. Seven assault operations are ongoing.

Towards Prydniprovskyi, there was one more enemy attack. In total, this is the 7th attack of the day, six of which were repelled.

The situation in other sectors did not change significantly.


Evelina Kravchenko, a senior researcher at the Institute of Archeology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, reported that in Crimea, an authentic monument of world significance, Chersonesus Tavriiskyi, was destroyed, and russia built an open-air theatre in its place. Chersonesus Tavriiskyi is the only monument in Crimea that is of global significance.

Based on the information provided on the website of the Verkhovna Rada, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a law on the use of English in Ukraine. The bill officially establishes the status of English as one of the languages of international communication.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported that an enemy attack was recorded in Kyivskyi district. The blast wave also damaged the glazing of the windows of two buildings of the university and injured 4 people.

The press service of Kharkiv police informed that during the day, the russian army attacked three settlements in Kupiansk region. In Kruhliakivka village, a 61-year-old resident was injured and a private house damaged. In Kivsharivka, a munition hit the ground, setting fire to apartments in a four-storey building, an outbuilding and a car. A man was injured. A private house caught on fire in Hlushkivka village.

Yesterday the enemy attacked Kupiansk. A house and outbuildings were damaged as a result of enemy shelling with UMPB-D30 missiles. In Petropavlivka village, an administrative building was damaged as a result of two enemy combat vehicles. There were no casualties.

At 4:40pm, russians attacked Kharkiv, damaging a civilian building as a result of a shell hit. There were no reports of casualties.

At 3:44pm, russians attacked Derhachi, Kharkiv region. The shelling damaged about 65 houses, outbuildings, a shopping centre and cars. 12 people were injured: 5 people were hospitalised, 7 suffered from an acute stress reaction (including three children), and refused hospitalisation.    

At 12:14pm, russians attacked Male Vesele village of Lyptsi community, Kharkiv region. A man was injured as a result of the shelling by a KAB, he was hospitalised in a medical institution, his condition is stable.

Towards Kharkiv, russian terrorists stormed the positions of our troops 10 times with the support of aviation near Vovchansk, Lyptsi, Sotnytskyi Kozachok and Hlyboke. Fighting is still ongoing in three locations in Vovchansk.

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions 8 times. Near Stepova Novoselivka, Synkivka, Stelmakhivka and Berestove, the Defence Forces repelled six offensives without the enemy’s success. The situation is tense. Fighting continues near Sinkivka and Stepova Novoselivka.

Sotnytskyi Kozachok is under the control of the Defence Forces. Viktor Kovalenko, Head of Zolochiv Village Military Administration, noted that a subversive group that tried to enter the area on 26 June was repelled. Kovalenko added that 31 people remain in the village, whereas before the invasion there were 120 residents. There are no children there. Now, as a rule, only the elderly remain.

Belgian artist Francis Alice dedicated his work to Ukraine. In it, children from Kharkiv oblast recreate the sounds of war.

Donetsk oblast

The CMA reported that at about 8:40am, the russian army attacked Selydove using an air bomb. Currently, there are 6 injured residents, including 2 children, who were hospitalised. Four administrative buildings, 7 apartment buildings, 5 private houses and 4 cars were damaged.

Referring to Pokrovsk CMA, two people were injured in the morning shelling of Yasenove village, one of them died.

Yesterday the invaders shelled 10 settlements in Donetsk oblast, killing one person and injuring 14. During the day, police recorded 2263 enemy attacks in the oblast.

The russian army attacked Kurakhove, Selydove, Toretsk, Zhelanne, Niu-York, Vovchenka, Komar, Memryk, Myroliubivka and Oleksandropil.

70 civilian objects were damaged, including 60 residential buildings, an administrative building, a business, shops, cars and power lines.

Toretsk suffered 18 strikes, 15 of which were airstrikes. The invaders killed a civilian and injured seven others. At least 5 apartment buildings, 2 private houses and infrastructure were damaged.

Also russians dropped a KAB-500 bomb on Selydove, injuring a civilian, damaging an administrative building, 6 apartment buildings, 37 private houses and a car.

The enemy hit Memryk with an UMPB D-30SN bomb, injuring 4 people, damaging 4 private houses, a shop and a car.

There is a victim in Niu-York and another in Komar village, which was hit by a Smerch MRLs. Five private houses were destroyed.

The State Emergency Service of Donetsk oblast said that rescuers evacuated 48 residents from Toretsk community on 26 June. Vasyl Chynchyk, Head of the CMA, reported that on 27 June, people left the community for Chernivtsi oblast.

Serhii Chaus, Head of the CMA, stated that as of 27 June, 645 residents remain in Chasiv Yar community. Some people are travelling by their own transport to neighbouring villages.

Luhansk oblast

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, yesterday russians attacked Kuzemivka, Stelmakhivka, Makiivka and Nevske 87 times in a day. There were 38 artillery attacks. Nevske was shelled three times by Grad multiple rocket launchers.

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy attacked near Stelmakhivka. The invaders hit Nadiia with two bombs. The situation there remains tense.

Towards Lyman, the enemy is concentrating its efforts near Hrekivka, Makiivka and Nevske, where about 80% of all attacks took place. The aggressor also struck Serebrianka forest with four multiple rocket launchers.

Towards Siversk, the invaders were trying to force the Armed Forces of Ukraine out of their positions in Bilohorivka.

The utility company in charge of water supply in occupied Sievierodonetsk was turned into a branch of Luhansk. The first consequences were a halving of wages. Men who want to resign are threatened with summonses.

In Lysychansk, the invaders organise provocations using attack drones. They hit residential buildings. Locals realised this after another recent russian attack. Then a convoy of russian army military equipment was moving nearby and no one even tried to attack it. 

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

In Kyiv oblast, the construction of an inclusive residential complex for veterans is planned for complete renovation by the end of this summer. The head of the regional military administration, Ruslan Kravchenko, handed over the first two certificates for the DIU soldiers to receive houses in this complex. According to him, the same certificates will soon be handed over to veterans from the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, the 72nd Separate Mechanised Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians and the 114th Territorial Defense Brigade.

Minister of Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshyn announced that in Tetiiv community 3 shelters in educational institutions were repaired due to Kyiv School of Economics funding. Children from two schools and one kindergarten can continue their education in comfortable and safe conditions.

A joint training exercise was held in one of the Irpin schools between rescuers of the State Emergency Service and volunteers of the Ukrainian Red Cross. The rescuers and volunteers practised extinguishing a mock fire, evacuating children and staff from the third floor of the building and providing medical assistance. According to the SES, such joint wartime drills are ongoing in all regions of the oblast.

The official portal of Kyiv reported that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 27% of Kyivmisksvitlo employees have joined the Armed Forces. Currently, the company lacks 14% of its employees, with vacancies for a number of working specialities.

In Kyiv, apartment buildings have installed more than 670 units of power equipment in case of a power outage: generators, batteries, and solar charging stations. Currently, the city reimburses 75% of the cost of independent energy sources, but there is a compensation limit per unit of equipment. According to Kyiv City Military Administration, in the future, the city authorities intend to expand the options for providing energy sources to the city’s residents.

Makariv Mayor Vadym Tokar announced that the community handed over an aid to the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine’s intelligence unit, which is fighting the russian aggressor. Drones, charging stations and other devices purchased at the expense of the community were sent to the military.

Zhytomyr oblast

The residents of Zhytomyr oblast were among the Ukrainian defenders returned from russian captivity on 25 June. In particular, two communities reported the release of their countrymen. Vitalii Pryschepa from Verkhivnia village of Ruzhyn community, who defended Ukraine’s borders in 2014 and was taken prisoner in June 2022, and Oleksii Turbal, a resident of Zarichchia village, a defender of Mariupol and Azovstal, returned home.

Zhytomyroblenerho informed that in Zhytomyr oblast the electricity deficit is 50%, but oblast manages to balance it with additional power sources. The most difficult situation is in Zviahel and Berdychiv. In winter, power engineers predict a worsening of the situation, with power outages lasting up to 12 hours in a row.

Zhytomyr Mayor Serhii Sukhomlyn announced that in Zhytomyr the first gas piston station was installed at one of the facilities of Zhytomyrteplocomunenerho. The project was implemented with the support of the US Agency for International Development (USAID). The 600kW station will produce heat in addition to electricity. In November, Zhytomyr will receive several more such plants with a capacity of up to 33mW.

According to the regional Department of Education and Science, this year, Zhytomyr oblast will receive over UAH 38m for school buses – the Cabinet of Ministers has approved the allocation of funds from the state to local budgets for this purchase. The oblast has already received part of the money.

Sumy oblast

Iryna Yukhta, acting head of Krasnopillia community reported that in the morning the russian army launched drone strikes on Krasnopillia. The attack damaged a kindergarten and a mobile phone tower.

By the regional military administration report, at night and in the morning of 27 June, russians carried out two attacks. Two mortar attacks on the territory of Khotyn community and three artillery attacks on the territory of Bilopillia community were recorded.

Over the past day, the russian military attacked the border areas and settlements of Sumy oblast 22 times. A total of 52 attacks from various types of weapons were recorded. Khotyn, Miropillia, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Esman, Seredyna-Buda and Znob-Novhorodske communities were shelled.

The North Operational Command announced that a man from Prohres village of Seredyna-Buda community was wounded by russian shelling on 26 June. The 72-year-old pensioner who was attacked on the territory of his own home, was hospitalised. 

The North Operational Command said that the enemy’s strikes also damaged a critical infrastructure facility in Bachivsk village, Esman community.

The oblast police informed that on 26 June, a resident of Sumy oblast was injured, livestock was killed, a private household was destroyed, beehives, a private bathhouse and a fence were damaged.

Chernihiv oblast

Over the past day, russian troops attacked two border communities in Chernihiv oblast. According to the State Border Guard Service, a total of 33 explosions were recorded. There were 15 explosions on the territory of the Semenivka community – dumping of explosives from a UAV and mortar shelling. The enemy struck the territory of the Snovsk community with 18 attacks from cannon artillery, FPV drones, AGS and dropped explosive munitions from UAVs.

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, informed that UAH 1bn was paid to the residents of Chernihiv oblast for damaged and destroyed property under the state programme yeVidnovlennia. The total value of compensation for housing damaged by the hostilities is almost UAH 250m. Oblast residents also received compensation in the form of housing certificates – 371 certificates have been issued for a total of UAH 545m. Another type of compensation is for the reconstruction of destroyed facilities, totalling UAH 123m.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, reported that the enemy Shahed was shot down over the oblast at night. It was destroyed by our defenders of the sky in Kryvyi Rih region. The occupiers also attacked Nikopol with artillery. A lyceum, a kindergarten, 5 high-rise buildings, a non-residential building and 2 cars were damaged. In the morning, the enemy attacked Marhanets community with a kamikaze drone and artillery. 

The enemy was attacking Nikopol region all day long. A total of 26 attacks on the region’s center, Marhanets and Pokrovsk communities. A 66-year-old man was injured in the latter, he was hospitalized in moderate condition. There were several fires, a field with wheat caught fire. A private house and 3 outbuildings were destroyed. 18 private houses, 8 outbuildings, 2 cars, power lines and gas pipelines were damaged.

Vinnytsia oblast

Vinnytsia City Council reported that two military units received equipment from the municipality of Vinnytsia. The defenders were reinforced with a Mavic quadcopter and three Bandera Power charging stations.

Kirovohrad oblast

Soldier Volodymyr Shevchenko from the Holovanivka community of Kirovohrad oblast returned from russian captivity.

Poltava oblast

On 27 June, Kremenchuk commemorated the victims of the missile attack on Amstor. The event took place at the site of the destroyed shopping centre. As you know, 22 people were killed and more than a hundred were injured in the shelling. 

Cherkasy oblast

The Alley of Memory of the fallen soldiers who defended Ukraine was opened in Lipianka village community. Afterward, the participants laid flowers at the steles of the fallen defenders and observed a minute of silence.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia RMA, reported that on 26 June, the occupiers struck the oblast 295 times. 6 settlements were under enemy attack. The enemy launched an airstrike on Novoandriivka.

Also, 111 UAVs of various modifications targeted Huliaipole, Levadne, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka and Novoandriivka. Besides this, 6 MLRS attacks hit Mala Tokmachka and Robotyne. There were 177 artillery strikes on the territory of Huliaipole, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, Robotyne, Levadne and Malynivka. There were 6 reports of housing destruction. Civilians were not injured.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, there were no significant changes in Orikhiv axis. According to South Operational Command, the occupying forces made 2 assaults but failed.

Referring to a volunteer of the 24th Aidar Separate Assault Brigade with the call sign Osman, russian troops have minimal daily successes in advancing northwest of Novopokrovka and east of Robotyne.

Based on the information provided by the Center for National Resistance, the russian occupiers continue to plunder the TOT of Zaporizhzhia oblast. They seize personal property from civilians and entrepreneurs, as well as property from enterprises, including Zaporizhzhia NPP. The occupation director of the captured Zaporizhzhia NPP, Eduard Atakishchev, assists russian military personnel in removing unused equipment from the plant. The pseudo-director from Rostov-on-Don is responsible for signing so-called agreements to transfer unused property from the plant for the occupiers’ needs and their standing on the territory.

The occupiers force children who are forced to remain in the temporarily occupied territory to accept russian citizenship. Recently, they issued passports to 5 teenagers from Tokmak, and previously, 23 children received them on the so-called “Day of russia”. The occupiers presented the event as a solemn celebration. In reality, it is another act of forced assimilation and deprivation of children of their Ukrainian identity. Forced passportization is a gross violation of international law and children’s rights. Children and their families are under pressure and cannot refuse russian passports.

Rehina Kharchenko, Secretary of Zaporizhzhia City Council, visited Magdeburg (Germany) at the invitation of the Mayor, Simone Borris. As a result of international cooperation between the 2 city administrations, Zaporizhzhia received 2 pieces of equipment for operational and rescue services: an MTW Ford Transit FF Prester minibus and an RSB boat. An agreement was also reached on receiving street cleaning equipment. During the visit, an application was submitted for a technical assistance program for Ukraine, implemented by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany together with GIZ in cooperation with German municipalities.

Mykolaiv oblast

In the morning summary, Mykolaiv RMA informed that during the night of 27 June, Air Defence neutralised 6 Shahed 131/136 drones and 3 cruise missiles in Mykolaiv oblast. As a result of the missile being shot down, its debris fell on the highway, causing 2 car accidents, injuring 2 drivers and damaging vehicles.

Also, on 26 June, the territory of Mykolaiv oblast was under russian attack 3 times. Specifically, at 6:45pm and 7:23pm, Kutsurub community was under artillery attack, and at 9:53pm, the waters of Ochakiv community were shelled. There were no civilians injured.

According to the Ministry of Energy, Denmark will allocate an additional grant of approximately €4.7m to restore critical energy infrastructure in the frontline Kharkiv and Mykolaiv oblasts of Ukraine. The funds will be transferred to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine through the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Odesa oblast

The enemy maintains 1 ship in the Black Sea capable of carrying Kalibr missiles. Also, the russian fleet is present in the Mediterranean Sea. There are 7 enemy ships, including 2 missile carriers in the Sea of Azov. However, it should be noted that the situation can change in just a few hours, which is the time needed for the occupiers to deploy an equipped missile carrier on combat duty.

According to the Ministry of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure, the cargo turnover of the ports of Greater Odesa over 10 months of operation of the Ukrainian corridor amounted to 55m tonnes of cargo. During this period, 1,954 ships were loaded. 37.4m tonnes of agricultural products were exported to 45 countries worldwide. Currently, 68 ships are waiting to approach the ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk and Pivdennyi, exporting almost 2m tonnes of cargo.

At the 15th Odesa International Film Festival, films will be shown as part of a special screening of the documentary project Culture vs. War, initiated by the Association Watch Ukrainian! in April 2022 to document and convey the truth about russia’s war against Ukraine through the stories of the struggle of famous artists. The project consists of 7 documentary films, an exhibition of documentary war photos and an art book.

In Odesa, an unknown artist painted a memorial mural on Mechnykova Street in memory of the 25-year-old defender, artilleryman Valerii Vostrikov, call sign Rahnar. He was killed on 19 July 2023, in a battle with the enemy near Velyka Novosilka village in Donetsk oblast.

Kherson oblast

Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson RMA, reported that during the night drone attack on 27 June, Air Defence Forces destroyed 2 Shahed-131/136 drones over Kherson oblast. 

On 26 June, russian troops shelled 25 settlements in the oblast.

Due to russian attacks, 1 person was killed and another 16 injured, including 2 children. The russian forces targeted residential areas, damaging an apartment building and 15 private houses. There were hits on an industrial facility, a store, a warehouse of a humanitarian hub and a gas pipeline. Agricultural buildings, garages and vehicles were also damaged.

On the morning of 27 June, russian invaders attacked Olhivka in Beryslav region with aviation and drones. 2 people were injured as a result. A 60-year-old man sustained explosive injuries and leg wounds when a guided bomb hit while he was in his home. At the same time, a 53-year-old woman suffered explosive injuries to her abdomen and thigh from a drone strike. Both victims were hospitalised in moderate condition.

On 27 June, russian forces continued to attack Novovorontsovka village in Beryslav region with kamikaze drones. During one of the attacks, drones struck an ambulance and a civilian vehicle. According to preliminary information, the medical personnel were not injured, but the driver of the civilian vehicle was wounded.

Relying on the information reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kherson oblast, 2 rescuers were injured due to repeated enemy shelling.

On 27 June, russian troops shelled a field near Shliakhove village in Kherson oblast, destroying 25 hectares of winter wheat.

Southern Defence Forces of Ukraine reported counter-battery engagements and repelled enemy assaults in their operational zone. According to the report, the enemy continues to attempt to dislodge Ukrainian units from their positions.

On the left bank of the Dnipro River, in temporarily occupied territories of Kherson oblast, the enemy conducted 6 assaults in Krynky area. After suffering losses, the enemy retreated to their original positions.

The occupiers carried out 4 unsuccessful assaults in Orikhiv axis.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

Lutsk community sent 2 DJI Mavic 3 quadcopters, 2 Starlink Internet Satellite Dish Kit V2 satellite modems, 2 EcoFlow DELTA 2 charging stations, 2 sets of ALIENTECH DUO II DUO2458SSD 2.4G/5.8G for RCNI remotes PRO, SMART antenna + adapters, a portable radio-electronic means of combating unmanned aerial vehicles QUERTUS AD COUNTER FPV and a quadcopter DJI Mavic 3 T Enterprise (Thermal) to the Motorized Infantry Battalion of the Military Unit A 0409.

The RMA reported that rectors of higher educational institutions will provide the Regional Territorial Center for Staffing and Social Support with lists of expelled persons who have not met the conditions for enrollment.

Zakarpattia oblast

The plenary meeting of the 15th session of Zakarpattia Regional Council took place. Key issues are the support of defenders and the energy security of the oblast.

A special international children’s camp for Ukrainian children whose parents are fighting at the front has opened in the Lithuanian city of Kachergine. This year, 17 children aged 9 to 15 are participating in the camp, accompanied by 2 teachers.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

In Ivano-Frankivsk, the Call of Remembrance rang out in memory of the Heroes who gave their lives in the fight for a free and independent Ukraine. Joint prayer united families of fallen soldiers, servicemen, representatives of various departments and services. During the memorial event, posthumous state and regional awards were presented to relatives of servicemen.

Ivano-Frankivsk received a fire truck from the Imetz city of Mulheim thanks to cooperation with the Polish city of Opole.

Lviv oblast

Lviv oblast is the largest beneficiary of the Poland – Belarus – Ukraine 2014-2020 Program among all oblasts of Ukraine. 54 projects worth about €50m were implemented in our region.

The RMA held a meeting with Yaroslav Huzy, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Ukraine. They discussed the situation at the border and modernization of checkpoints and the construction of a narrow track.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, arrived on an unannounced visit to Lviv oblast. All soldiers who gave their lives in the current Polish-Ukrainian war were commemorated at Lychakiv cemetery.

Rivne oblast

Currently, there are 3 teams of the State Emergency Service from Rivne oblast on the front lines of demining. 2 groups work in Kherson oblast, another one in Chernihiv oblast. In total, pyrotechnicians from Rivne oblast have already destroyed almost 400 mines and ammunition and cleared 527 hectares.

Ternopil oblast

The Zborivska Hospital communal non-profit enterprise received an ambulance from the Vatican. It was brought to the oblast by Cardinal Konrad Kraevsky and representatives of Lviv Archdiocese of the Roman Catholic Church. The ambulance, equipped as an ambulance, was personally consecrated by Pope Francis.

For 22 soldiers who were injured and cannot return to combat missions, fishing was held in the village of Kydantsi.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

The RMA reported that at night, during the air alarm signal, the Air Defense Forces destroyed 9 enemy targets. There were no reports of injuries, deaths or damage to property.

Khmelnytskyi community sent 250 FPV drones worth UAH 3.7m to the Defense Forces thanks to the budget funds.

Chernivtsi oblast

Tereblechensk community allocated funds for the treatment of servicemen. Specifically, 3 defenders received UAH 30,000 each for treatment. In addition, targeted assistance was provided for the purchase of military equipment and provision of individual units in the total amount of UAH 180,000.

The RMA reported that Klishkovetsk community allocated UAH 250,000 for the purchase of fuel and lubricants for Khotyn Police Department №2, as well as UAH 30,000 for the servicing of official vehicles.

PACE supported three resolutions concerning Ukraine, included, a special tribunal for the russian federation, strengthening sanctions and condemning crimes against Ukrainian identity.

Ukraine signed security agreements with the European Union, Lithuania and Estonia.

Gitanas Nauseda, President of Lithuania, announced that the country will send 0.25% of its GDP to the defence and security support of Ukraine.

Denmark will provide Ukraine with an additional €4.7m to restore energy infrastructure in Mykolaiv and Kharkiv oblast. Currently, the total amount of listed and announced contributions of donors to the Fund is over €551m.

Britain and 12 partner countries have trained over 40,000 Ukrainian infantrymen over the course of 2 years. According to James Thurstan, Colonel of the British Army, this is the largest training program on the territory of Great Britain since the 2nd World War.

Peter Pellegrini, President of Slovakia, announced that his country joined the Czech initiative to supply shells to Ukraine.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, met with Charles Michel, President of the European Council. Key topics of the meeting are the beginning of negotiations on joining the EU and support for Ukraine.

The Belgian Presidency of the Council of the EU announced that the EU approved a new package of sanctions against belarus.
