War in Ukraine today: latest news, 26 June, 2024 (photo)

It has been the 854th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6pm:   

Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has been increasing the pace of offensive and assault operations, looking for ways to penetrate our defences and try to drive Ukrainian units out of the occupied lines. The number of combat engagements along the entire frontline has increased to 99. The situation is the hottest towards Pokrovsk and Kharkiv oblast. At the same time, Ukrainian defenders are giving a worthy rebuff to the occupiers, destroying personnel and equipment.

Towards Kharkiv, two hostile attacks are currently ongoing near Vovchansk. Another seven enemy attacks were repelled near Lyptsi and Vovchansk. Today’s activity of the invaders resulted in the loss of 124 people. Three artillery systems, four vehicles and a unit of special equipment were destroyed. Enemy casualties are still being counted.

Towards Kupiansk, Ukrainian defenders repelled seven assaults by the occupying forces near Synkivka, Berestove, Stelmakhivka and Stepova Novoselivka since the beginning of the day. A battle is currently ongoing near the latter.

Towards Lyman, 11 enemy attempts to improve their tactical position failed. The enemy continues two attacks near Nevske and Makiivka. The situation is under control. The aggressor fired four multiple rocket launchers at the territory of Serebrianka forest.

Towards Siversk, the occupation army continues to be active near Bilohorivka, Spirne and Rozdolivka. Four attacks of the russian invaders were repelled, five more combat engagements are ongoing.

Towards Toretsk, the number of enemy attacks increased to seven. The enemy is making the main efforts to attack towards Toretsk.

Towards Pokrovsk, the invaders are not slowing down their offensive.  Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has attacked the defensive lines of Ukrainian defenders 34 times.  23 of the aggressor’s assaults failed and 11 more hostile attacks are ongoing.

Towards Kurakhove, fighting continues. Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has been attacking, specifically, near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka and Paraskoviivka.  The total number of attacks here has increased to seven.  

Towards Prydniprovskyi, five enemy assaults were unsuccessful. No positions were lost.

The situation in other sectors did not change significantly.


53rd prisoner exchange – 90 Ukrainian servicemen returned home. Among the released representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 40 are from the Navy – 17, the Territorial Defence – 8, the State Border Guard Service – 18 and the National Guard Service – 32. 59 defenders of Mariupol returned home, 52 of whom were at Azovstal and 5 defenders of Chernobyl nuclear power plant. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, 3,300 defenders have been released from captivity.

Andrii Kovalov, an official representative of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported that the convicted metropolitan of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate, Metropolitan Jonathan, was exchanged for Ukrainian prisoners of war. The exchange was initiated by russia as the corresponding official request was received from the Patriarch of the russian Orthodox Church Kirill Gundyaev. On 22 June, Metropolitan Jonathan was taken to the border with belarus and handed over to representatives of the russian federation. In exchange for him, Ukraine received several prisoners of war from Ukrainian defenders.  

Volodymyr Zelenskyy issued a decree on the formation of the Unmanned Systems Forces as a separate type of force within the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Decree of the President of Ukraine №382/2024 of 25 June 2024 comes into force on the day of its publication.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

Viacheslav Zadorenko, Head of Derhachi CMA, reported that the russian army attacked Derhachi by three airstrikes, which hit two neighbourhoods, all of which hit the ground in the yards. There were 12 people injured in Derhachi as a result of the hit on the private sector by the KAB.

Among them are two children. All of them have an acute stress reaction.

Around 50 private houses in Derhachi were damaged by russian strikes. They are currently being covered with plastic sheeting and tarpaulin to preserve them until a commission arrives to inspect the damage.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of 4pm, two battles are taking place near Lyptsi.

Kharkiv axis: during the day, russians attacked six times without success near Vovchansk and Lyptsi.

Kupiansk axis: russians dropped almost 15 UAVs over the day. Ukrainian defence forces repelled five russian attacks near Stelmakhivka, Synkivka and Berestove.

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported that at 3:20am, russians attacked Kupiansk, Kupiansk region. A house and a car were burning as a result of the shelling of the KAB.

At 2:40am, russians attacked Borova village, Izium region. A shop was burning as a result of the shelling. The building of the pharmacy and the glazing of the building of the central district hospital were damaged.

Yesterday at 4:50pm, russians attacked Bobrivka village of Vilkhivka community, Kharkiv region, hitting the garden association. As a result of the shelling, 3 houses were damaged and 4 people injured.

At 12pm, russians attacked Odnorobivka village of ZOlochiv community, Bohodukhiv region. The building of an educational institution was damaged as a result of S-300 shelling.

At 10:23am, russians attacked Kyivskyi district. As a result of shelling by KAB bombs, the glazing of apartment and entrance windows of buildings was damaged.

Towards Kharkiv, the invaders attacked Hlyboke, Vovchansk and Tykhe 8 times with the support of aviation during the day. The Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully repelled 5 enemy assaults and three more combat engagements are currently ongoing.

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy made 10 attempts to push our units from their positions near Synkivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Pishchane, Stelmakhivka and Andriivka. 9 enemy attacks were successfully repelled. The situation remains tense in Stepova Novoselivka, where the battle is still ongoing.

Yesterday combined teams of bomb experts cleared 14.13 hectares of land and destroyed 206 explosive devices.

Several dozen invaders are blocked at one of the industrial enterprises in Vovchansk. The russians are trying to break through, but are constantly suffering losses in this area. The task of the Ukrainian military is to inflict maximum damage towards Lyptsi and Vovchansk. At the same time, they must destroy the maximum amount of manpower, military equipment and weapons.

Yesterday Ukraine returned 90 more defenders from russian captivity. Among them are five from the Kharkiv oblast.  Two soldiers are from Kupiansk region, the rest are from Kharkiv, Malynivka and Krasnokutsk communities. One of the defenders was on a combat mission towards Kherson, another in Izium, and the rest were liberating Vilkhivka.

Donetsk oblast

The press service of Donetsk police reported that around 1am, the enemy shelled Komar village, wounding a civilian. And at 4:10am, russian troops hit Selydove by a FAB-500 bomb and damaged an administrative building, 6 apartment buildings and 37 private houses.

Yesterday one person was killed and 11 injured. Over the day, the enemy made 2,414 attacks in the oblast. The attacks were recorded in 11 settlements: Kurakhove, Toretsk, Velyka Novosilka, Zhelanne, Niu-York, Pivnichne, Yampil, Zolota Nyva, Novozhelanne, Mykhailivka and Predtechyne.

41 civilian objects were destroyed, including 24 residential buildings, an administrative building, educational institutions, a shop, a boiler house and vehicles.

Also russia shelled Zolota Nyva using artillery, killing a civilian and damaging a private house.

The invaders shelled Toretsk 7 times, including five airstrikes with KAB-500 and KAB-250 bombs. 6 civilians were injured, 4 apartment buildings, educational institutions, an administrative building, a shop and a bus were damaged.

Two of the injured were in Kurakhove, where russians dropped a guided aerial bomb. Four apartment buildings and two cars were damaged.

Two more residents were injured as a result of artillery shelling in Pivnichne and in Niu-York, their houses were damaged.

The russian army shelled Mykhailivka by an UMPB D-30SN bomb, damaging two private houses and an outbuilding. Yampil was also hit, with 5 private houses and 6 outbuildings damaged.

White Angels crew evacuated two families with children from Lyman community.

13-years-old Mariia from Droysheve said that it was scary, they were hiding in the house during the shelling.

A family from Stavky village, where 14-year-old Polina lives, survived two mines hitting their yard.

Explosions were heard during the evacuations. The children were protected by an armoured car and special bulletproof vests and helmets put on by law enforcers. Both families travelled to western Ukraine, where housing has already been prepared for them.

Due to russian attacks, the security situation in the community remains critical. Mandatory evacuations continue from Lyman town and Lypove, Nove, Karpivka and Stavky villages. Since the beginning of these measures, about 50% of children and their families have been evacuated.

Luhansk oblast

Yesterday Kuzemivka, Makiivka, Nevske and Stelmakhivka were hit by artillery and mortars. According to the RMA, Nevske was also shelled by aircraft and rocket artillery.

The enemy’s ground activity was concentrated near Stelmakhivka, Hrekivka, Makiivka, Nevske, in Bilohorivka and Serebrianka forest.

Towards Lyman, the enemy lost 92 men in action, five pieces of weapons and military equipment

Towards Siversk, the enemy losses amounted to 84 people. In addition, an infantry fighting vehicle and a car were destroyed, and two dugouts with personnel were hit.

Residents of the villages located near the contact line are provided with pensions in a timely manner. To do this, Krasnorichensk Military Administration helps them get to the nearest open Ukrposhta branch in Donetsk oblast and takes them home.

In Starobilsk, which was occupied in the spring of 2022, there was an acute problem with garbage collection. The relevant municipal services have been created on paper, and those who are supposed to be working there are paid, but household waste is piling up in the middle of the streets.

A new curator of the cities of the so-called “lpr”, which are under the patronage of Tatarstan, came to solve the existing problems of the residents of Lysychansk. He is currently getting acquainted with the scope of reconstruction tasks that have not been completed since 2022. There is no centralised heating in the city, mobile communications and the internet are cut off, and there are significant problems with water supply and other utilities.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Kyiv Regional Centre for Preparation for National Resistance has launched its second basic training course. Over 100 oblast residents will be training for 7 weeks in 16 areas, including tactical and firearms training, tactical medicine, and UAV operations. In six months, the centre has already trained about a thousand oblast residents.

A centre specialising in the search for persons missing under special circumstances and the identification of bodies of those killed during russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine has been launched at Kyiv Police Investigation Department. The centre will be staffed by investigators, criminalists, operatives, analysts and cyber police. They will search for and identify missing military and civilians.

Kyiv Regional Military Administration informed that in Rzhyshchev, in Obukhiv region, a radiation shelter is being built on the territory of the Harmony gymnasium. It will be able to accommodate 250 students and teachers. The work is being sponsored by the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression.

The State Agency for the Restoration and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine reported that the reconstruction of the bridge on the P-02 Kyiv – Ivankiv – Ovruch road, which was damaged in February 2022 during the hostilities, is nearing completion. The bridge connected Kyiv with the settlements of Vyshgorod district. A temporary crossing is now in place at this section. The 156-metre-long bridge will have two lanes, a sidewalk and a bicycle and pedestrian path. Officials promise to open traffic on the renovated bridge in August.

The Prosecutor General’s Office informed that a russian military officer who tortured a resident of Kyiv oblast during the occupation in March 2022 was served with a notice of suspicion in absentia. According to the investigation, in the village of Velyka Dymerka, Brovary region, a russian serviceman threw a local resident into the basement and tortured him, demanding that he confess to belonging to the Ukrainian Defence Forces. The occupier inflicted three stab wounds and two gunshot wounds to the man’s leg. The man later managed to escape. Law enforcement officers identified the russian executioner.

In Kyiv, a Ukrainian record was set – the largest Crimean Tatar flag, measuring 9 by 16 metres. In 2021, activists used 200 balloons to launch this flag across the administrative border into occupied Crimea. The record was recorded at the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in World War II. 

Zhytomyr oblast

In Zhytomyr oblast, 2,167 children are under the care and custody of citizens, which is almost 74% of the total number of orphans and children deprived of parental care. Due to the war, 135 children under care were forced to leave the country.

According to the RMA report, the development of foster families and family-type children’s homes (FTCs) remains a priority in the oblast. There are 68 FFCYs and 131 foster families with 708 children being brought up. However, due to the war, 15 FTOs (95 children) and 15 foster families (38 children) are outside Ukraine. 

A memorial sign in honour of the airborne assault troops was unveiled in Zhytomyr Botanical Garden. The botanical garden also includes an “Alley of Glory of the Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine” with the flags of all airborne assault brigades. The wooden sculpture with the symbols of the 95th Brigade stands in the alley centre. It is created by a craftsman, veteran and volunteer Ivan Khalus, who goes by the call sign Sculptor.

Sumy oblast

At night and in the morning, russians attacked the border areas and settlements of Sumy oblast 15 times. 54 attacks from various types of weapons were recorded. Yunakivka, Bilopilllia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Nova Sloboda, Esman, Shalyhyne, Znob-Novhorodske communities were shelled.

Over the past day, the russian military attacked Sumy oblast 25 times, with a total of 109 explosions recorded.The Khotyn, Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Myropillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Esman, Shalyhyne, and Seredyna-Buda communities were shelled. The regional military administration informed that the enemy attacked with mortars, rocket and cannon artillery, and FPV drones. According to the North military command, a private house in Yunakivka was damaged by russian shelling.

Sumyoblenerho JSC reported on 25 June that as a result of the fighting in Sumy oblast, 3,776 residential points were left without electricity, including 70 settlements, 21 of which are partially de-energised. These are Bilopillia, Seredyna-Buda, Sumy, Velyka Pysarivka, Krasnopillia, Putyvl and Hlukhivka communities.

Sumy City Council announced that 11 soldiers of a combat unit defending Sumy border received honorary awards from the city council.

Chernihiv oblast

The police of Chernihiv oblast reported that on 26 June, russian troops attacked a village in Horodnia community at the border with a Grad multiple rocket launcher system. The shelling damaged residential buildings. Local residents were not injured.

The State Border Guard Service informed that over the past day, 25 June, the russian military launched 93 attacks on the border of Chernihiv oblast. Three communities were under enemy fire: Novhorod-Siverskyi – 37 attacks from cannon artillery, FPV drones, AGS and mortars, and the dropping of explosive munitions from a UAV; Semenivka – 26 attacks from mortars, FPV drones and an explosive device dropped from a UAV; Horodnianka – 30 attacks from MLRS.

Manuela Schwezig, President of the Bundesrat and Prime Minister of this state, during her working visit to Chernihiv, announced Germany will allocate €250,000 to equip and build shelters in schools in the border communities of Chernihiv oblast. The money has been reserved in the budget of the Federal State of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. 

The Ministry of Health of Latvia announced the intention to donate medical equipment to the Chernihiv oblast Children’s Hospital of Ukraine, including lung ventilators and monitors of patients’ vital parameters. 

Horodnia Mayor Andriii Bohdan informed that The first two modular houses were installed in Horodnia, 30km from russia. They were placed next to a destroyed house where four families lived. They are equipped with furniture and household appliances. The houses were installed thanks to the Rokada charity foundation and the UN Refugee Agency.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

In the evening, the enemy attacked Nikopol region three times. They fired artillery at Myrove and Marhanets communities, and launched a kamikaze drone at the latter.

According to updated information, on 25 June, 2 more houses, an outbuilding, a greenhouse and a power line were damaged after shelling in the area.

The occupiers shelled Nikopol region all day long. An 18-year-old girl was wounded in the attack. The enemy targeted the region’s centre, Pokrovsk, Marhanets and Chervonohryhorivka communities. Five private houses were damaged, and several fires broke out, which were quickly extinguished. Infrastructure facilities, an outbuilding, 2 greenhouses, a gas pipeline and a power line were damaged.

Vinnytsia oblast

Serhii Morhunov, Vinnytsia Mayor, reported ​​that Vinnytsia oblast has received another shipment of aid for the Artan special unit of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine. This includes 5 Mavic 3-Ts, 5 thermal imagers, 5 thermal sights, 5 Bandera Power and 20 thousand dry showers. 

Kirovohrad oblast

Andrii Raikovych, Head of the RMA, reported that Kropyvnytskyi teachers and high school students continued the tradition of previous years and instead of buying flowers for graduation, they raised funds for FPV drones.

Poltava oblast

Soldier Taras Koval from Kremenchuk was returned from russian captivity. The soldier was taken prisoner on 19 October, 2022. The man was born in 1986 and has the rank of junior sergeant.

Cherkasy oblast

Ihor Taburets, Head of the RMA, reported that Oleh Hudymov, Head of the National Police of Cherkasy oblast, awarded posthumously awards from the Supreme Commander-in-Chief “For the Defense of Ukraine” to the families of: 

Kuratchenko Mykhailo, police colonel;

Melnyk Ihor, police captain; 

Nenadu Serhii, police captain;

Prudkyi Oleh, police captain;

Sahaidak Vitalii, police captain; 

Boiko Oleksandr, Senior Lieutenant of the Police;

Diachenko Stanislav, Police Lieutenant;

Pustovit Mykhailo, Police Lieutenant;

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia RMA, reported that on 25 June, the russian military carried out 328 attacks on 7 cities and villages in Zaporizhzhia oblast. Artillery strikes hit the areas of Huliaipole, Preobrazhenka, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, Levadne and Malynivka 280 times. There were no casualties or injuries reported.

Zaporizhzhiaoblenerho emergency crews repaired damage to power grids in frontline areas caused by enemy shelling and restored electricity to 157 families. Also, energy workers restored power to 1,192 homes in frontline settlements that had been cut off due to technological disruptions. As of the morning of 26 June, 3,731 consumers in the controlled territory of Zaporizhzhia oblast remain without electricity due to the hostilities. Emergency restoration work is ongoing.

Mykolaiv oblast

According to Mykolaiv RMA, on 25 June and the night of 26 June, the russian military attacked Ochakiv and Kutsurub communities. One of the shellings damaged the roof of a five-story building. Also, falling debris caused a fire in dry grass in an open area. There were no casualties reported.

Mykolaiv Development Agency informed that a dormitory for internally displaced persons in Mykolaiv received additional assistance from the Danish Refugee Council. This time, they received 100 desks, 100 wall shelves, 24 kitchen cabinets, 4 bookcases and a TV stand.

Odesa oblast

Southern Defence Forces said that on the night of 26 June, the russian military attacked civilian infrastructure in Odesa oblast with a ballistic missile. An administrative building in the industrial sector was damaged. There were no casualties reported.

The German city of Mainz became the 14th sister city of Odesa. The corresponding decision was unanimously supported by deputies at the session. The partnership between the cities will be established in economic, trade, social, scientific-educational, cultural, tourist and sports sectors.

Kherson oblast

Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson RMA, reported that on 25 June, russian forces shelled 14 settlements in Kherson oblast. Prydniprovske, Novotiahynka, Veletenske, Komyshany, Kizomys, Antonivka, Tiahynka, Odradokamianka, Dudchany, Mykhailivka, Novokairy, Osokorivka, Lvove and Kherson were under russian fire and airstrikes. Schools, a kindergarten, 3 apartment buildings and 7 private houses were damaged. 2 people were injured and 1 person killed.

Referring to South Air Command, Air Defence Forces destroyed 6 russian drones in Kherson oblast, including 4 ZALA reconnaissance drones, 1 Supercam and 1 Lancet.

Based on the information reported by the press service of Kherson RMA, a mobile medical team visited Bruskinske, Stepne, Bilousove, Charivne and Novoraisk. Also, at the residents’ request, they examined the Matrosivka inhabitants. The team consisted of a therapist and a psychologist who conducted comprehensive patient examinations. The doctors assisted about 120 residents, mostly elderly people and displaced persons from the frontline zone.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

Hennadii Moloshik, Head of the Department of Pyrotechnic Works of the State Service for Emergency Situations of the oblast, announced that in Volyn, after the missile was shot down on 22 June, 13 cluster munitions and a wing element of the X-101 missile were found. The search continues.

Deputies of Lutsk City Council allocated UAH 2.5m from the reserve fund of the community budget for restoration of damaged residential buildings and farm buildings in the village of Prylutsk, Lutsk community. The commission has already conducted a preliminary survey of damaged real estate objects, and the city council continues to receive applications from people about the implementation of restoration and repair works.

On 25 June, 90 Ukrainian men and women returned from russian captivity. 2 men from Volyn oblast are among those released. Oleksandr Savchuk, born in 2000. The military man from the village of Marianivka, Kovel region, had been in captivity since July 2022. Petro Buhaichuk, born in 1973. The man is a resident of the village of Sytnytsia, Lutsk region. Has been in captivity since February 2022.

Zakarpattia oblast

A military man who is currently defending Ukraine will receive an apartment in Uzhhorod. The decision to accept the apartment free of charge into the communal property of the Uzhgorod city territorial community from the limited liability company “KONTIBUD UZHHOROD” was supported at the regular session of the city council.

UAH 1.4m from the budget of Uzhhorod will be directed to the payment of one-time financial aid and to solving social and household issues to 14 family members of fallen Defenders of Ukraine.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Region Carpathians sent over 2 tonnes of food and hygiene products to people from Ivano-Frankivsk oblast, who are building a line of defence in the East of Ukraine. All rear oblast, has been building fortifications for several months. Coordinates the work of the RMA, whose employees, together with representatives of the DMA, supervise compliance with deadlines and relevant norms during the construction of defence structures directly at the construction site.

Lviv oblast

A large-scale conference on the preparation of the oblast for the winter period and the transformation of Chervonohrad coal microregion was held in Lviv. Heads of communities, representatives of the German GIZ project and the leadership of Lviv oblast took part. The project Fair Transformation of Coal Oblasts and Green Recovery of the Energy Sector of Ukraine aims to help adapt to the challenges facing the country’s energy infrastructure.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, announced the return of 90 Ukrainian servicemen from russian captivity. Among those is Valerii Siverukhin, resident of Skolivska community, defender of Azovstal. The man has been defending Ukraine since 2014. He served as an inspector of Mariupol Mobile Border Post. He was in captivity for 2 years.

Ivan Kurtianik from the Slavic community was awarded with the III degree For Courage Order (posthumously). The hero served in the 46th Battalion of the 24th Separate Mechanised Brigade named after King Danylo. He was killed on 2 January 2023 in the battle for the city of Soledar,  Donetsk oblast. Previously, the serviceman was posthumously awarded with the Hero’s Cross order.

Rivne oblast

The police received an anonymous report about the mining of the building of Rivne RMA and the Regional Council. According to the protocol, employees were evacuated. Special services conducted an inspection of the premises. No explosive objects were found.

Ternopil oblast

A shelter for IDPs was opened in Koropka, which is organised on the basis of a closed polyclinic. The premises are equipped for a full stay of 6 families with children. The implemented project provided for the reconstruction of a non-residential building for the settlement of 22 IDPs from among families of military personnel with many children.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

A meeting of the executive committee of the City Council was held in Khmelnytskyi. At the meeting, the children were granted the status of victims of hostilities and armed conflicts. Currently, there are already 800 such children in the community.

Chernivtsi oblast

A Ukrainian-Romanian round table Formation of Security Policy on NATO’s Eastern Flank: Romania’s role in the Ukrainian Case was held in Chernivtsi. During the meeting, officials, scientists and public figures discussed the issue of russia’s aggression against Ukraine as a challenge to the international security system and Romania’s experience for Ukraine on the way to membership in NATO and the EU.

A regional forum Best Practices of Veteran Policy: How to Build Partnerships and Create Opportunities for the Integration of Veterans Into Civilian Life was held in Chernivtsi organised by Chernivtsi RMA and the UN Development Program Strengthened Partnership for Sustainable Recovery.

Over 77,000 IDPs live in Bukovyna. During the round table, the priority areas of work of state institutions with IDP, stateless persons, refugees and those seeking protection in Chernivtsi oblast were discussed. They also shared successful stories of starting a business in Bukovyna, specifically thanks to the grant support of international organisations and charitable foundations.

Special attention is paid to the prospects of expanding Swedish business and attracting new investments to Ukraine.

Latvia will send medical equipment, namely, 36 artificial lung ventilation units and 12 monitors of the patient’s vital parameters, worth almost €350,000 to Ukraine. Through representatives of the parliamentary delegation, the Ministry of Health of Latvia received a request for additional medical equipment (in particular, for anaesthesia) for Chernihiv Regional Children’s Hospital.

The US will finance the printing of textbooks for Ukrainian children. Over $8m were allocated for printing textbooks for grades 1–2. In total, over 12,000 schools will receive the books. Textbooks will be printed by Ukrainian publishing houses, which will receive approval from the Ministry of Education and Culture and the support of educational institutions.
