Here is operational information regarding the russian invasion as of 6pm.
Towards Volyn, Polissia and Siversk, the situation has not undergone significant changes, except for application of anti-aircraft missile systems to striking from the territory of the republic of belarus on objects in Chernihiv oblast.
Towards Kharkiv, the enemy does not stop shelling from barreled and rocket artillery in the areas of Bazaliivka, Chepil, Korobochkine, Lebiazhe, Mospanove, Pechenihy, Petrivka, Prudianka, Pytomnyk, Ruska Lozova, Ruski Tyshky, Shapovalivka, Shestakove, Staryi Saltiv, Verkhniy Saltiv, and Udy. Russian occupiers launched missile strikes on the city of Kharkiv and the village of Kochetok. Also, the enemy used aircraft to strike Ruski Tyshky. There was aerial reconnaissance with UAVs in the areas of Chuhuiv, Liptsi, Malynivka, Pytomnyk, Ruska Lozova and Pechenihy.
Towards Sloviansk, the enemy fired from tanks, barreled and rocket artillery at the settlements of Adamivka, Dolyna, Husarivka, Karnaukhivka, Kurulka, Petrivske, Pryshyb, and Zaliman. An unsuccessful attempt to conduct combat reconnaissance resulted in the enemy’s losses near Brazhkivka.
Towards Kramatorsk, enemy units did not conduct active offensive operations. Barrelled, rocket artillery and tanks were applied to shelling Hryhorivka, Kryva Luka, Pyskunivka, Raihorodok, Starodubivka, Serebrianka, Sloviansk, Spirne and Verkhniokamianske. Airstrikes were recorded near Serebrianka.
Towards Bakhmut, the enemy shelled Bakhmut, Berestove, Konstantynivka, Nelypivka, Niu York, Pokrovske, Semyhiria, Soledar, Toretsk, Travneve, Vesela Dolyna, and Zaitseve. There were airstrikes launched near Pokrovske, Vesela Dolyna and Yakovlivka.
In the areas of Berestove and Nahirne, russian hostile reconnaissance groups unsuccessfully tried to reveal positions of our troops.
Conducting assault actions, the enemy partially improved its tactical position near the settlements of Soledar and Vershyna. Meanwhile, the enemy’s attempts to conduct assault operations towards Yakovlivka, Bakhmut and Semyhiria failed. The enemy units withdrew, suffering losses.
Towards Avdiivka, supported by tanks, barrel and rocket artillery fire, the enemy resumed assault operations near Avdiivka and Pisky, had no success, and withdrew.
For the purpose of deceiving, the russian occupiers were wearing a Ukrainian field uniform with white bandages on their hands and feet during the assault near Pisky, thus violating the customs of war.
The enemy also shelled positions of our troops in the areas of Avdiivka, Karlivka, Krasnohorivka, Memryk, Netailove, Nevelske, Novobakhmutivka, Oleksandropol, Opytne, Pisky, and Vesele. There was an airstrike launched near Avdiivka.
Towards Novopavlivka and Zaporozhzhia, there are no active hostilities recorded. The enemy shelled near Katerynivka, Mariinka, Novomykhailivka, Pavlivka and twenty other settlements. There were airstrikes launched near Kamianske and Vuhledar. Over Malinovka, Orikhiv and Olhivske, aerial reconnaissance with the Eleron UAV was fixed.
Towards the South Buh, mutual shelling continues in the areas of Novovoznesensk, Potemkine, Vysokopillia and a large number of other settlements. The enemy launched an air strike near Novopetrivka.
In the Black and Azov Seas, three carriers of sea-based cruise Kalibr missiles are ready to use high-precision weapons.
During the five months of the full-scale russian invasion, Ukrainian courts seized the assets of russian and belarusian companies for UAH 39.5 billion. This was reported by the National Police. From now on, these funds will work for the economy and reconstruction of Ukraine. Only vehicles seized by law enforcement officers are worth UAH 1.3 billion and they are currently employed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. “Drilling rigs, an airline, bank securities, aircraft engines, wagons and thousands of tons of fuel are not a complete list of assets seized by the court on the territory of Ukraine, the ultimate beneficiaries of which are citizens of the aggressor country,” added the National Police.
The Verkhovna Rada voted for legal and social guarantees established for Polish citizens staying on the territory of Ukraine. After the document is signed by the president, it will come into force. Polish citizens, in particular, will be able to stay on the territory of Ukraine for 18 months and enjoy the same rights and freedoms as citizens of Ukraine.
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, a record number of couples have married in Kyiv. In total, from February 24 to July 23, 9120 marriages were registered in the capital, as stated by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine. During the same period in 2021, only 1110 couples got married in Kyiv. This number might have increased due to simplification of the official procedure for registering marriages during the war. In addition, military personnel, police officers, and health care workers can register a marriage online, without personal presence.
Eastern regions
Kharkiv oblast
According to the General Staff, the invaders failed their attempts to conduct an onslaught in the directions of Dovhenke-Mazanivka and Pasika-Dolyna. They carried out an air strike near Ruski Tyshky. Drones were used to check the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and correct fire. The invaders also shelled at least 20 settlements in Kharkiv oblast with artillery. Ukrainian troops repelled a russian reconnaissance with a battle near Brazhkivka, Izium district, and the russians suffered losses.
According to the State Emergency Service, the enemies shelled Tsyrkuny village, Kharkiv oblast, for over four hours and 7 fires broke out. Also during the day, rescuers extinguished 13 fires caused by invaders’ shelling in Bohodukhiv, Chuhuiv, Izium, Kharkiv, Kyiv and Nemyshlia districts of Kharkiv.
During the day, 3 people were injured as a result of shelling in Kharkiv district – two 47-year-old men and a 12-year-old boy. One of the men is in serious condition.
The city mayor, Ihor Terekhov, reports that russian troops shelled Kharkiv twice with S-300 missiles. They hit Horkyy Park. Household buildings were damaged, no casualties.
According to the head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, a shell hit a nine-storey building in Chuhuiv, Kharkiv oblast. Private houses and outbuildings were damaged.
A rocket attack was launched on Kochetok village, Chuhuiv district.
According to the head of the community, Oleksandr Husarov, Pechenihy settlement was shelled with incendiary shells and several fires broke out in the open areas. Rescuers are establishing types of explosive objects. Critical infrastructure was damaged. A woman was killed as a result of shelling of the settlement.
Also, russia fired cluster shells at a thermal power plant and residential area in Kharkiv oblast, killing a policeman and injuring 2 civilians.
Donetsk oblast
According to the head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, 5 residents of Donetsk oblast were killed as a result of Russian shelling – 2 in Avdiivka, 1 in Bakhmut, 1 in New-York, and 1 in Soledar.
According to the Head Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, in Bakhmut, rescuers continued to carry out rescue and search operations when the hotel building collapsed. There may be more people under the rubble. Russians also shelled the city again four times with Uragan MRLs. At least 3 people were killed and 3 injured. Six apartment buildings and six private houses were damaged. According to preliminary information, russians used cluster munitions. According to the head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, rescuers are working there.
According to Mariupol mayor councillor, Petro Andriushchenko, in Mariupol, overnight, the invaders started firing with guns near Volonterivka, Kalmiuske district. There were no casualties. Between 100 and 150 thousand people live in the city. Now there is no water supply and drinking water, electricity and gas, people are still forced to cook on fire, bathe in the street and work for food.
In Toretsk, invaders hit a 5-storey residential building. The roof and floor cover of one of the porches were partially destroyed.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, 2 people were injured as a result of shelling in Orlivka village, Donetsk oblast. They were hospitalized.
Luhansk oblast
According to the head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Hayday, Luhansk oblast holds the defence. Russians once again withdrew after an attack between Bilohrovka and Verkhnokamianske.
According to the territorial defence of Luhansk oblast, the enemy is trying to advance through Siversk and reach Sloviansk direction, while russians are trying to advance from the side of Vuhlehirsk thermal power plant to Bakhmut and Soledar.
Law enforcers in the region exposed 15 people who hold leadership positions in the authorities of the so-called Luhansk People’s Republic or are actively cooperating with the enemy.
According to the internet resources controlled by Luhansk People’s Republic, preparations for a so-called “referendum” on September 11 to join the russian federation started in cities of occupied Luhansk oblast. Lists of participants are being formed in occupied Rubizhne, Sievierodonetska and Svatove. Although local “administrations” do not have access to the register of voters of Ukraine.
According to the State Environmental Inspection, the invaders destroyed the Lysychansk mining and industrial college.
Northern regions
So far there are no signs of offensive groups on the territory of Belarus, informed Leonid Baran, the head of the Department of State Border Protection. The enemy is actively and ostentatiously performing military drills, but the number of troops stays the same. The threat of an offensive remains low, but provocations are possible in Homel and Brest oblast bordering with Ukraine.
Kyiv oblast
Today the enemy launched missiles on Kyiv oblast. There were five hits in Vyshhorod region and two other missiles were eliminated by the air defense system. As of now, 15 people were injured. According to preliminary information, there were no fatalities.
On the Day of Ukrainian Statehood, the President of the Republic of Lithuania Gitanas Nauseda visited Kyiv oblast. He traveled to Irpin, where he was able to see the destroyed Central Cultural Hall and one of the residential complexes.
Oleksii Kuleba met with residents of Kukhari, Sloboda-Kukharska, Olyva, and Teterivske villages. They discussed the need to restore residential housing facilities that sustained significant damage due to the hostilities. Currently, a modular town was installed in Kukhari, and more than 30 people have already applied to live there.
The bodies of 41 people killed due to the russian aggression have not yet been identified. This was reported by the head of the National Police Ihor Klymenko. Citizens whose relatives went missing during the full-scale russian invasion are encouraged to take a DNA test at police stations to speed up the identification process.
More than 35.2K cases of COVID have been registered in Kyiv since the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion. Kyiv City State Administration urges residents of the capital to get vaccinated before the forecasted seasonal outbreak.
Zhytomyr oblast
Heads of Zhytomyr oblast communities, law enforcers, territorial defense, as well as the command of the ‘Volyn Joint Military formation held a meeting at the RMA aimed at regulating the activities of volunteer formations of territorial communities and functioning of checkpoints.
In Zhytomyr oblast, it is planned to complete the construction of a new boiler house in time for the heating season. According to Zhytomyr Teplokomunenerho, the boiler house will operate on hog fuel, which will allow decreasing the use of natural gas by 10%.
70 residents of Oliivka community donated blood for the military and patients of Zhytomyr hospitals. Anatoliy Chuhriev, head of the regional blood center, said that they always need to have blood components ready for the wounded.
Sumy oblast
The SBGS reports that the enemy continues to shell border areas of Sumy and Chernihiv regions. The Esman and Seredina-Buda communities of the Sumy oblast came under enemy fire. The shelling was carried out from barrel artillery. Sumy RMA reports on mortar shelling of Mykolaiv, Khotyn and Krasnopillia communities.
Over the past week, russia shelled Sumy oblast 78 times. According to the State Border Service, since April 10, when Ukrainian units entered the state border, the enemy fired more than a thousand shots and used aviation 56 times. The SBGS continues to strengthen the border regions and works out all areas of cooperation between the units of the defense forces.
During the period of martial law restrictions were imposed on operation of shopping and entertainment centers, markets and places of mass gathering of people in Sumy oblast. The order was signed by the head of Sumy RMA, Dmytro Zhivytskyi. It refers to termination of work playgrounds, a ban on holding mass events, limiting the number of visitors taking into account possibilities of shelter, and stopping operation of shopping malls located near critical infrastructure facilities.
The mayor said that there are 120 civil protection structures in Sumy. The basement premises are being examined for the possibility of their use as simplest shelters. Specialists inspected 60 premises in 56 educational institutions for their compliance with standards, rules and regulations.
In Sumy oblast, they plan to transfer 500 purebred cows to private peasant farms, create a network of mini-workshops for milk processing, and implement a cluster of producers and processors of dairy products. This is stated in the Strategy for Economic Recovery and Development of the Sumy oblast, which was recently presented at the Sumy RMA.
Children from family-type homes and foster families in Sumy oblast had the opportunity to rest in Slovakia. 24 children received a full two-week vacation with five meals a day, a swimming pool, playrooms and sports grounds. All expenses were born by the Slovakia side.
Chernihiv oblast
The SBGS reports that the enemy continues to shell the border areas of the Sumy and Chernihiv regions. The territory of the Semenivka community came under enemy fire four times; almost 40 explosions were recorded per day.
The “North” OC reports that more than 20 rockets were launched from the territory of Belarus on the territory of Goncharivka community. The missile attack was carried out from Islander operational-tactical complexes and S-300 anti-aircraft missile complexes. Losses among personnel are reported to the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
About 70 cluster munitions were defused by police explosives officers in the territory of the Horodnia community of Chernihiv oblast. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine warns that being near such ammunition is deadly – they can detonate at any time.
Chernihiv City Council has allocated UAH 15 million for the compensation program to restore windows in high-rise buildings. The purpose of the program is to prepare socially vulnerable sections of the population for the heating season. So far, more than fifty residents of Chernihiv have submitted applications for compensation.
The Glovo company developed a program for sustainable development of Ukrainian cities, presented to the city authorities of Chernihiv. The specifics of the company’s activities include delivery of goods within the city using bicycle transport. One of partnership directions will deal with development of Chernihiv’s cycling infrastructure.
Humanitarian aid arrived in Chernihiv from France. Residents of the French cities of Gap and Lyon joined its collection. It was delivered by a family of volunteers from the humanitarian association ARASFEC. These are medical equipment, medicines, wheelchairs for people with disabilities, crutches, warm clothes, food and other necessities. The cargo is intended for patients of one of city hospitals of Chernihiv, as well as for those who suffered from russian shelling.
Central regions
Vinnytsia oblast
In Vinnytsia, about 200 political and anti-war caricatures were presented at the exhibition of 40 artists from 20 countries.
For the first time in hundred years the church service was held in Ukrainian in the Holy Ascension Church in the village Shiroka Hreblya, Vinnytsia region. On May 21, the local community decided to transfer to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
In Vinnytsia, a ceremonial presentation of the new postage stamp “Good evening, we are from Ukraine” was held. Stamps can be purchased at Ukrposhta or online stores. The circulation of stamps is 96K.
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
The russian army shelled Zelenodolsk and Apostolivsk communities using “Hurricanes” and barrel artillery. In Zelenodolsk community, they hit Zelenodolsk and Mala Kostromka, damaging several houses in the village, a water pipe and a gas pipe. In the Apostolivska community, the village of Ukrainka was attacked, causing destruction. Luckily, there were no casualties.
In the morning, the russian army struck the Kryvyi Rih district again. They fired on Shirokivska community from Multiple rocket launcher, purposefully targeting the agricultural enterprise in Shestirnia. One person was killed, two injured. This was reported by the head of Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration Valentin Reznichenko.
Pyrotechnics destroyed 2 cluster blocks of modern rockets from multiple-launch rocket systems and 27 modern cluster munitions in the Sinelniky and Kryvyi Rih districts of Dnipropetrovsk region. The works were carried out on the territories of Slavyansk and Shirokivsk communities, as well as within the town of Apostolovo. This was reported to the State Emergency Service of the region.
Dnipropetrovsk oblast continues to accept displaced people. The region has already sheltered 297 800 internally displaced persons, of which 104 400 are women and 74 600 are children. The largest number of displaced persons is in Dnipro (127.7 thousand) and Kryvyi Rih (55.8 thousand).
In Dnipro, the Dnipro Youth Center, together with the department of youth policy and national patriotic education, organized a solemn event for the Day of Ukrainian Statehood for residents and guests of the city.
Kirovohrad oblast
5 people were killed and 26 injured as a result of airstrike in Kropyvnytskyi. The head of the military administration of the region, Andriy Rajkovich, claimed that russian troops attacked the city with Kalibr-class missiles.
In 6 of 20 colleges of the Kirovohrad region, shelters are ready in case of an air raid, others are being repaired and equipped, the director of the regional department of education Elza Leshchenko said.
A private shelter for people will be opened in the center of Kropyvnytskyi during air raids. The keys to it were given to the employees of the library and two stores who work nearby. There is water, Internet, and electricity in the shelter. The owners have decided that for the time being they will not invest in them and make them a commercial facility.
In Kropyvnytskyi, cadets of the Donetsk University of Internal Affairs are taught etiquette. These additional classes are not in the curriculum. However, this knowledge is necessary for future officers, both in everyday life and in professional activities, the deputy head of the department of social and humanitarian work Vira Ragimova believes.
Poltava oblast
On July 30 and 31, Poltava will hold training for civilians, instructors with combat experience will conduct two training sessions to share the knowledge of the rules of behavior during shelling and providing first aid.
Poltava oblast schools can connect for free to the integrated electronic system for students, parents and teachers “My School”. This became possible thanks to the city’s Lithuanian partners.
On the occasion of Ukrainian Statehood Day, celebrated for the first time this year in Poltava, regional awards were given to military and law enforcement officers, as well as flowers were laid at the monument to Hetman Mazepa and the memorial plaque to Mykhailo Hrushevskyi.
Cherkasy oblast
In one of the villages of Zolotonosha district, Cherkasy region, a shelter has already been prepared in one of the school for the beginning of the academic year. There is a medical center, basement classrooms and cots for smallest students. Shelters in thr basement are heated, have toilets and food room.
For the first time, the Statehood Day is celebrated in Cherkasy. Flowers were placed at the memorial, then a prayer for Ukraine was held in the Holy Trinity Cathedral.
Southern regions
Zaporizhzhia Oblast
The situation in the Zaporizhzhia direction has not changed significantly. The enemy concentrates its main efforts on holding the occupied positions.
The occupiers shelled the civilian infrastructure in the areas of Kamianske and Yurkivka.
During the day 1 812 people, including 493 children, were evacuated from the temporarily occupied territory.
The Security Service of Ukraine submitted an indictment against the actress who was “appointed” by the occupiers to the position of “acting head of the administration of the city of Vasylivka” in Zaporizhzhia oblast.
On July 29, explosive works will be carried out in Zaporizhzhia for four hours. This was reported by the Shevchenkiv district administration of the Zaporizhzhia City Council.
The exhibition “The Great History of a Great Nation” was opened in the Zaporizhzhia Regional Museum of Local Lore on the occasion of the Day of Ukrainian Statehood. The main goal of the exhibition is to remind us about the difficult path that our people went through in the struggle for independence. Different periods of Ukrainian history are presented at the event.
The Zaporizhzhia State Medical University provides medical services to internally displaced persons as part of the “Summer School” project. You can go to a dentist or therapist, get a cardiogram or ultrasound daily.
Mykolaiv oblast
The enemy again attacked Mykolaiv with “Smerch” rocket multi launcher yesterday in the evening. According to the military commandant’s office of defense of Mykolaiv, up to ten S-300 missiles were fired at the city. An educational institution was destroyed, a yacht club, a warehouse of an agro-industrial enterprise, and farm buildings were damaged as a result of the aggressor’s actions. One person was injured.
An anti-aircraft missile unit destroyed a “Forpost” type UAV in Mykolayiv oblast during an attempt to conduct reconnaissance with a subsequent attack.
Yesterday, the regional center and settlements of Lymany, Sosnove, Vesniane, Dmytrivka, Kaluha and Shyroke were under the enemy attacks. Seven residential buildings, territories of private enterprises and other objects of civil infrastructure were damaged. There are victims, including two children.
5 fires broke out in Mykolaiv oblast during as a result of the enemy shelling.
Two people were tripped a mind and blown up on a mine in Koblevo. This was announced by the Head of the Regional Military Administration, Vitaly Kim.
The faction of the political party “Party of Shariy” in the Mykolaiv City Council ceased its activities. This was announced by the mayor Oleksandr Sienkovych.
Odesa oblast
There are 2 surface and 1 underwater missile carrier with 20 Kalibr missiles on board in the Black Sea, ready to launch missile strikes. The rest of the fleet continue to maneuver in missile-unreachable areas of the Black Sea along southern and southeastern coasts of the Crimean Peninsula.
A ship of the State Hydrographic Office was blown up by a mine in the Bystre river mouth in Odesa oblast. This was reported by the Ukrainian Shipping Magazine. The small hydrographic vessel “Shliahovyk” tripped a mine during the transition between the Black Sea and the Danube River. The board was damaged. It is unknown whether the crew was injured.
First ships with Ukrainian grain can leave Odesa ports on July 29. This was announced by UN Deputy Secretary General Martin Griffiths. The UN also noted that fertilizers will also be exported from Ukraine by ship.
The Avanhard territorial community and schoolchildren, together with representatives of the 126th separate brigade of the territorial defense of the city of Odesa, once again brought goodies, children’s drawings and letters of wishes to the Ukrainian defenders.
Kherson oblast
Mutual shelling continues in the districts of Novovoznesensk, Potiomkyne, Visokopillia and a large number of other settlements in the South Buh direction. The russians carried out an airstrike near Novopetrivka.
The enemy dared to counterattack in two directions – from Bruskynskye to Bilohirka and from Novohrednieve to Andriivka. There was no success. The enemy retreated with losses. This is reported by the “South” Operational Command.
The Ukrainian aviation launched 5 airstrikes on the enemy. A pair of attack aircraft and a bomber hit 3 enemy strongholds, a pair of helicopters hit 2 more near the villages of Beryslav and Kherson districts.
Rocket and artillery units performed 271 fire missions during the combat day. The total confirmed losses of the enemy are 66 occupiers, 3 T-72 tanks, 3 mine laying machines, 2 howitzers “Msta-S”, self-propelled howitzer “Gvozdika”, mortar complex “Sani”, 3 units of vehicles. Conventional and field ammunition storages were destroyed in Chornobaiivka and Bilohirka.
The “United Russia” party left Kherson and explained this by the fact that it could no longer carry out “humanitarian activities” after shelling of the Antonivsky Bridge by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In fact, the activity of this party was aimed at collecting personal data for holding a “referendum”. This was reported by the Center for Strategic Communications.
The Kherson regional prosecutor’s office notified in absentia two citizens of Ukraine of suspicion of collaborative activity. A resident of Kherson voluntarily agreed to take the pseudo-position of “head of the military-civilian administration of the Hola Prystan city territorial community.” Another local resident took the position of the so-called “first deputy head of the military-civilian administration of the Hola Prystan city territorial community”.
Western regions
Volyn
In Lutsk, mothers of the fallen Heroes were presented with their sons’ awards. Parafenyuk Oleksandr Oleksandrovych, Dzyatka Yury Andreyovych and Sered Mykola Mykolayovych were awarded the Order of “For Courage” III degree (posthumously).
In Volyn, at a charity fair, children collected UAH 130K for an anti-drone gun.
Over 100 children’s drawings were sent to the front line from Lutsk.
Zakarpattia oblast
Zakarpattia deputies terminated the activity of the political party “OPFL” in the regional council. This became known during the regular session of the regional council.
Head of Zakarpattia RMA Viktor Mykyta announced that attempts to illegally transport tobacco products across the state border using unmanned aerial vehicles, quadcopters and other aerial equipment have become more frequent in the oblast. The RMA decided to confiscate aircraft equipment for the needs of the Armed Forces.
Six tablets were sent to the Ukrainian military from the 128th brigade. They were bought for UAH 118K, collected during the charity auction and the “I’m Ukrainian” race in Uzhhorod.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
A visiting meeting of representatives of the World Health Organization, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and regional centers for disease control and prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine was held in Prykarpattia. It dealt with issues arising in response to emergency situations, as well as restoration and further development of the public health system.
Lviv oblast
350 people arrived in Lviv by two evacuation trains from the war zone. 814 people traveled to Przemysl from Lviv oblast by four trains.
The SoftServe IT company will send 29 ambulances to hot spots of hostilities as part of the “1000 Freedom Cars” initiative. The company’s employees donated UAH 2 million to the corporate charity fund “Open Eyes”. These funds were sent to medical aid for the residents of Ukraine and soldiers who are in the hottest spots.
A team of doctors from the US together with specialists from the Lviv Regional Clinical Children’s Hospital “OKHMATDYT” will consult, operate and help children with various congenital facial defects during the week.
The International Medical Mission SSF Sauveteurs Sans Frontiers with the project “Rescue without Borders” visited Stryshchyna. Doctors and volunteers from America and Germany worked for 5 days in different parts of the district, providing medical and psychological assistance to IDPs.
About a hundred works of the legendary Ukrainian artist Maria Prymachenko are exhibited in Lviv.
In the center of Lviv, a creative action “Statehood through the eyes of children” took place. It was held to entertain Ukrainian kids who relocated to Lviv oblast as a result of the full-scale war. During the event, children painted national symbols of Ukraine, their home, and flowers.
Children from different cities of Ukraine presented a collection of folk clothes “Flowers of Ukraine”. The event was dedicated to the Statehood Day of Ukraine.
Rivne oblast
At an extraordinary meeting of the Rivne City Council, UAH 40 million was allocated to repair of shelters in kindergartens. 15 million will be used to renew shelters in schools and 2.3 million to protective structures in cultural institutions.
The Department of Emergency Situations in Rivne oblast reported that rescuers of Rivne oblast sent humanitarian aid to their colleagues from Mykolaiv oblast – combat clothing, fire helmets and sleeves, equipment and supplies for more comfortable and effective working conditions.
The Museum of Statehood, one of the largest private institutions of its type in Europe, is moving to Rivne oblast. There are 15K artifacts that symbolize statehood. Among them are the seals of Volodymyr the Great, Yaroslav the Wise and Ivan Mazepa.
Ternopil oblast
Ternopil Oblast joined the all-Ukrainian action “Everything is Ukraine. Everything is a victory. Everything is the Armed Forces.” It was started by women from the Zaporozhzhia DreamTeam, flying the flag on the top of Hoverla. Ternopil oblast received the flag from neighboring Rivne oblast. The flag will be transferred further to Chernivtsi oblast with messages to the Ukrainian military on it.
The RMA reported that from September 1, a panic button for calling the police will work in every educational institution. This is for the safety purposes of children and law enforcement.
The RMA reported that during the alarm, restaurants and shops that have shelters will be open in Ternopil.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
The Department of Youth and Sports of the Khmelnytskyi City Council reported that a patriotic mural was opened in Khmelnytskyi – a picture painted on the building of the sports and cultural center.
In the Ozerna microdistrict, young volunteers aged 9 to 11 organized a charity fair. Children sell goodies and original handmade products. In the first four days, UAH 10K were collected.
The charitable organization “World Central Kitchen” began to issue humanitarian food kits to internally displaced persons living in Volochysk.
Chernivtsi oblast
Thanks to volunteers, bloggers and city council workers, 10 cars for the Armed Forces were purchased and filled with humanitarian aid. Soon they will go in the direction of Kramatorsk and Bakhmut.
Chernivtsi oblast received an ambulance from the Czech city of Olomouc.
International support
The US will provide $500 million for financial support to Ukraine.
The US Secretary of Defense approved treatment of wounded Ukrainian soldiers at the US military hospital in Germany. The Landstuhl Medical Center (Rhineland-Palatinate) is allowed to receive up to 18 wounded Ukrainian soldiers at the same time.
The Geneva International Center for Humanitarian Demining will receive sappers from Ukraine for training. Travel and accommodation expenses of the participants are reimbursed by the Swiss side.
The US Senate passed a resolution calling on the State Department to recognize russia as a state sponsor of terrorism due to events in Ukraine, Chechnya, Georgia and Syria.
The Estonian government has banned the issuance of temporary residence permits or study visas to citizens of russia.
The Government of Latvia supported the proposal of the Ministry of Defense to provide additional military support to Ukraine. In general, Latvia provided military support to Ukraine in the amount of over 200 million euros.
The Baykar company will give Bayraktar to Ukraine free of charge, for which money was raised in Poland. 22.5 million zlotys collected in Poland, as agreed with the Ukrainian and Turkish parties, will be sent as humanitarian aid to Ukrainians. 1.8 million zlotys will be transferred to the Armed Forces funds.
The deputy official representative of the German government, Christiani Hofmann, at a briefing in Berlin stated that the latest IRIS-T air defense systems will be delivered to Ukraine by the end of this year.
Both parties of the US Congress support the transfer of ATACMS long-range missiles for HIMARS to Ukraine. These missiles are capable of hitting objects at a distance of up to 310 km.
Czech Republic agreed to patrol the skies of Slovakia. This will allow the Slovaks to transfer their 11 MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine.
Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda arrived in Kyiv to celebrate Ukrainian Statehood Day. He spoke at the VRU and presented Volodymyr Zelenskyi with Lithuania’s highest state award – the Order of Vytautas the Great.
Poland started collecting funds for 3 evacuation helicopters for Ukraine.
