War in Ukraine today: latest news, 22 June 2026 (photo)

It has been the 1580  th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 4 pm:  

Since the start of the day, the aggressor has attacked the Defence Forces’ positions 44 times.

Artillery shelling of border areas continues. Today, in Sumy oblast, the settlements of Korenok, Neskuchne, Ryzhivka, Buniakyne, Rohizne, Ulanove, Bachivsk, Stepanivka and Malushyne were hit; in Chernihiv oblast, Senkivka and Kliusy.

Towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk, there was one clash with the enemy; the enemy carried out 34 attacks on settlements and our troops’ positions, including two using multiple launch rocket systems.

Towards Southern Sloboda, the invaders made three attempts to breach the defences in the direction of Vilcha and in the vicinity of the settlement of Starytsia.

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy attacked the Defence Forces’ positions once today in the direction of Hlushkivka.

Towards Lyman, Ukrainian troops repelled six attempts by the invaders to advance in the area of Novoselivka and towards Borova, Drobysheve and Ozerny. Two firefights are ongoing.

Towards Sloviansk, the Defence Forces successfully repelled five attempts by the invaders to advance near Zakitne and towards the settlements of Rai-Oleksandrivka and Kryva Luka.

Towards Kramatorsk, no attempts by the enemy to advance were recorded.

Towards Kostiantynivka, our defenders repelled nine attacks near the settlements of Koniantynivka, Ivanopillia, Pleshchiivka, Illinivka and Sofiivka. One clash is still ongoing.

Towards Pokrovsk, since the start of the day, the occupiers have attempted eight times to dislodge our troops from their positions in the areas around the settlements of Rodynske, Vasylivka, Kotlyne, and Udachne, and towards the settlements of Serhiivka and Muravka. One attack is still ongoing.

Towards Oleksandrivka, the enemy made one attempt to advance towards Sichneve.

Towards Huliaipole, the Defence Forces successfully repelled nine enemy attacks in Dobropillia area and towards Huliaipole, Hirke, Vozdvyzhivka, Tsvitkove and Staroukrainka. One engagement is still ongoing.

Towards Orikhiv, the enemy launched a single assault on our defenders’ positions in the Stepove area.

Towards Kherson, no enemy attempts to advance have been recorded.

In other sectors, there are currently no significant changes in the situation. No enemy attempts to advance have been recorded.

The Ministry of Defence reported that around 95% of the drones procured for the Defence Forces are manufactured in Ukraine. Last year, for the first time, procurement of unmanned systems exceeded that of ammunition. This trend is continuing.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine has signed a contract with Germany for 600 air defence missiles. The US has transferred licences for the production of Patriot missiles to Berlin, and Germany has already commenced production.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

Over the past 24 hours, 246 combat engagements were recorded across the entire front line. Towards Southern Slobod, Russian troops launched 13 attacks on the positions of Ukrainian units in the direction of Izbytske and near Lyman, Starytsia and Vovchansk. Towards Kupiansk, the enemy carried out eight attacks in the direction of Hlushkivka, Kurylivka, Shyikivka and Mala Shapkivka.

Over the past 24 hours, Kharkiv and 29 settlements in the region came under russian attack. One person was killed and seven others wounded.

A 75-year-old man was killed in Shevchenkove Pershe, Vovchansk community. In Bohodukhiv, a 19-year-old and a 49-year-old man were injured. A 73-year-old man was wounded in Shevchenkove, and a 25-year-old woman in Pisochyn. In the village of Pidlyman, Borova community, two women aged 51 and 67 and a 59-year-old man were injured.

Two women aged 59 and 47 were injured following explosions of unidentified devices in the village of Klynova-Novoselivka and near the village of Petrivka in Zolochiv community.

Russian troops attacked Kyivskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts of Kharkiv using drones. To carry out the strikes on the region, the russian army deployed 10 guided aerial bombs, a Geran-2 drone, 13 Molniya-type drones, 18 FPV drones and a further 36 drones, the type of which is currently being identified.

In Kharkiv, three blocks of flats and a scientific institution building were damaged.

In Bohodukhiv r,gion an apartment block, shops, a pharmacy, power lines and an administrative building in Zolochiv were damaged, as were private houses and farm buildings in Tsapivka, Novoselivka, Zavadske and Klynova-Novoselivka, as well as petrol stations in Bohodukhiv and Prokopenkove.

In Kupiansk region, a car garage in Velykyi Burluk, three private homes, an educational establishment, a warehouse and three tractors in Shevchenkove were damaged.

In Kharkiv region, power lines were damaged in Slatyn, along with 11 cars, a block of flats and the infrastructure of a civilian enterprise in Podvirky, premises at the employment centre in Derhachi, and a two-storey house in Tsyrkuny.

In Chuhuiv region, private houses in Berezhne and Staryi Saltiv, a car in the village of Ukrainske, a moped in Shevchenkove Pershe, and power lines were damaged.

The transit evacuation centre in Lozova received 61 people over the past 24 hours. Since it began operating, 41,483 evacuees have been registered there.

Donetsk oblast

In Donetsk oblast, russian troops have stepped up their activity towards Kostiantynivka. Over the past 24 hours, the Defence Forces repelled 21 attacks in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Ivanopillia, Pleshchiivka, Sofiivka and towards Kucheriv Yar. The day before, the General Staff had reported 11 assaults on this section of the front.

The Ukrainian military also repelled 21 attacks towards Pokrovsk and 24 assaults towards Lyman.

Over the past 24 hours, the russian army carried out 1,214 strikes on the territory of Donetsk oblast. Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk, Mykolaivka, Sloviansk, Iverske and Kurytsyne came under fire. 40 civilian facilities were damaged, including 29 residential buildings.

In Druzhkivka, one person was killed and two others were injured as a result of four attacks, including those carried out by FPV drones. An apartment block was damaged.

In Kramatorsk, one resident was injured following strikes by two KAB-250 aerial bombs and four drones. An apartment block, a private house, a business premises and two civilian vehicles were damaged.

Russian forces shelled Sloviansk with Tornado-S multiple launch rocket systems. Four civilians were injured. 8 blocks of flats and two cars were damaged.

In Mykolaivka, 18 private homes and a church were damaged. In Iverske, a piece of infrastructure was damaged; in Kurutsyne, a civilian bus and a car were damaged.

According to Vadym Filashkin, Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, one person was killed and seven were injured as a result of Russian shelling over the past 24 hours. The deceased was a resident of Druzhkivka. Two people were also injured in Druzhkivka, one person in Sloviansk and four residents of Kramatorsk.

Since the start of russia’s full-scale invasion, 4,133 people have been killed in Donetsk oblast, with a further 9,689 injured. These figures do not include casualties in Mariupol and Volnovakha.

Luhansk oblast

Towards Lyman, russian troops carried out 24 assaults near seven settlements over the past 24 hours. The occupiers fired mainly from barrel artillery and automatic grenade launchers at the positions of Ukrainian defenders in Luhansk oblast, and also deployed nine drones.

A fuel shortage persists in the occupied Luhansk region. According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, the occupying authorities are attempting to resolve these problems, which they describe as “temporary difficulties”, by drawing on supplies from frontline areas. In particular, petrol is hardly being supplied to Kreminna region, forcing locals to purchase it on the black market at higher prices.

In the temporarily occupied city of Siverskodonetsk, the russian authorities are continuing to demolish high-rise buildings that were damaged during the fighting for the city. The occupiers had previously stated their intention to restore them. During the demolition of one of the high-rise blocks in the city’s newer districts, a neighbouring building was damaged. The future of this building is currently being decided.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Major General Oleksandr Pivnenko, Commander of the National Guard, reported that three servicemen of the Ukrainian National Guard, who were providing security at the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Station and were taken prisoner during the occupation of the Exclusion Zone in the spring of 2022, remain in russian captivity. According to him, most of the Chornobyl defenders have already been returned as part of prisoner-of-war exchanges. In addition, more than half of the National Guard soldiers who were held captive have already been released from russian captivity.

Kyiv State Emergency Service reported that work is continuing at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra to clear up the aftermath of the russian strike on 15 June, which damaged the Holy Assumption Cathedral. Every day, rescue workers are doing their utmost to restore the damaged shrine. Currently, over 70 rescue workers and 24 pieces of specialist equipment are working at the site.

The Kyiv Military Hub is operating in the capital – the only urban space where veterans and their families can receive comprehensive support, ranging from the processing of their status and social entitlements to psychological and legal support, as well as assistance with employment. According to Kyiv City Military Administration, there are currently almost 120,000 male and female veterans living in Kyiv.

The Regional Military Administration reported that a festival for war veterans and their families took place in the Bilohorod community in Kyiv oblast. The event brought together over 150 participants, who tried their hand at sport fishing, took part in a volleyball tournament, learnt the basics of pétanque during a masterclass, and spent time with their families at interactive and children’s activity areas.

Zhytomyr oblast

According to the Kyiv branch of the state enterprise “Forests of Ukraine”, five forest fires broke out in Zhytomyr oblast over the weekend as a result of a drone attack by the russian federation. The total area affected by the fires exceeded three hectares. The blaze spread across forests in four forest districts, and efforts to extinguish it were hampered by hot weather, strong winds and the risk of secondary explosions. 

Recently, in Malyn, during the Summer Community Festival, a children’s football tournament called “Match of Hope” was held. It was dedicated to supporting the families of missing Ukrainian defenders. Five children’s teams competed on the pitch, and the event itself became a space for remembrance, support and unity.

Sumy oblast

The Prosecutor’s Office reported that on the morning of 22 June, russians struck educational institution buildings in Bilopollia by two missiles. As a result of the missile strike, a fire broke out on the grounds of an educational institution, and residential houses were also damaged. Four people were injured: women aged 42, 55 and 61, and a 30-year-old man.

As a result of a targeted russian drone strike on a residential house in Znob-Novhorodske community, a fire broke out in the building. A 36-year-old father, his 13-year-old son and a 73-year-old woman, the mother of his partner, were killed at the scene. Another of the man’s sons, a 10-year-old boy, was injured. A 13-year-old girl remains in intensive care in serious condition. Her mother, a 31-year-old woman, was also injured.

The State Emergency Service informed that on 22 June, an enemy drone struck the territory of a garage cooperative in Hlukhiv. A fire broke out. Due to the difficult security situation, State Emergency Service personnel temporarily suspended operations and moved to a safe location. The fire was subsequently extinguished.

During the day and evening of 21 June, russian drones attacked residential areas of Hlukhiv. The enemy struck a five-storey residential building, while a fire broke out in the private housing sector after another attack.

A 14-year-old child sustained serious injuries in one of the strikes. The child is receiving treatment in hospital, where doctors are providing the necessary medical care.

From the morning of 21 June to the morning of 22 June, russian forces carried out nearly 70 attacks on 33 settlements across 19 territorial communities of the oblast. The highest number of attacks was recorded in Sumy and Shostka regions. The enemy used mortars, artillery, FPV drones, UAVs and guided aerial bombs. Air raid alerts in the oblast lasted for 19 hours and 12 minutes during the reporting period.

According to the Regional Military Administration, as of the morning of 22 June, three people had been killed, including one child, and nine others, including three children, had been injured in enemy attacks across Sumy oblast over the previous 24 hours. Destruction and damage to private homes, vehicles and civilian infrastructure facilities were also recorded:

▪️ In Sumy community, a 72-year-old man was injured in an enemy UAV strike. Enemy attacks on the morning of 21 June damaged a residential premises, a private residential house, civilian infrastructure facilities, a passenger vehicle and apartment buildings. During the day, a civilian infrastructure facility, an apartment building, a private residential house and a non-residential premises were also damaged;

▪️ In Okhtyrka community, a 36-year-old woman was injured after explosives were dropped from a drone. A private house, a civilian infrastructure facility and premises of a House of Culture were damaged;

▪️ In Hlukhiv community, a 15-year-old girl and a 68-year-old woman were injured in russian drone strikes. An apartment building, private residential houses, a non-residential building and a civilian infrastructure facility were damaged;

▪️ In Kyrykivka community, a 57-year-old man was wounded and a 54-year-old woman was injured when an enemy drone struck a house. Private residential houses and a civilian infrastructure facility were damaged;

▪️ In Znob-Novhorodske community, a 13-year-old boy, a 36-year-old man and a 73-year-old woman were killed in a UAV strike. A 13-year-old girl was wounded, a 10-year-old boy was injured, and a 31-year-old woman suffered an acute stress reaction. A private residential house was damaged;

▪️ In Vorozhbia community, private residential houses were damaged;

▪️ In Konotop community, a private residential house was damaged;

▪️ In Mykolaivka rural community, a private residential house was destroyed;

▪️ In Seredyna-Buda community, a private household and a private residential house were damaged;

▪️ In Putyvl community, a non-residential premises and a private household were damaged;

▪️ In Krasnopollia community, a private residential house was damaged;

▪️ In Bilopollia community, a private residential house was damaged;

▪️ In Esman community, a private residential house was destroyed.

The State Emergency Service of Sumy oblast reported that pyrotechnic specialists destroyed 113 items of unexploded ordnance over the past week. The hazardous objects were discovered in Sumy, Konotop, Romny, Okhtyrka and Shostka regions.

The Regional Military Administration announced that one of the oblast’s educational institutions received equipment worth more than UAH 3m. with support from German Government and GIZ Ukraine. The package includes lithium batteries, hybrid inverters and the necessary equipment for connecting a backup power supply system.

 

Chernihiv oblast

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, reported that Defence Forces units shot down or suppressed with electronic warfare systems more than 300 russian drones over Chernihiv oblast between 15 and 21 June.

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv RMA, said that on the morning of 22 June, russian forces attacked a private house in Borzna with a strike UAV. The house caught fire as a result of the attack. A 45-year-old man was injured, while his 14-year-old daughter suffered an acute stress reaction.

Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration, informed that on the morning of 22 June, russian forces again attacked the border town of Novhorod-Siverskyi. A Molniya UAV struck the grounds of Ushynskyi Lyceum. The explosion shattered windows and damaged doors in the educational institution. On the evening of 21 June, a russian drone struck a civilian infrastructure facility.

According to Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, on 21 June, russian forces attacked several communities in Novhorod-Siverskyi regional and Oster:

▪️ In a village of Ponornytsia community, UAV strikes damaged windows in houses;

▪️ In a village of Korop community, dry grass caught fire;

▪️ In Semenivka, FPV drones attacked a railway station building, a private residential house and a passenger vehicle;

▪️ In Oster, a russian attack damaged the roof of a house;

▪️ Strikes on energy facilities were recorded.

Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment reported that on 21 June, russian forces attacked three border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka and Snovsk. The enemy carried out mortar attacks (10 explosions), FPV drone attacks (8 explosions), a Molniya-type UAV attack (1 explosion), and dropped an explosive device from a UAV (1 explosion). Seven settlements came under enemy fire.

Chernihiv Regional State Administration informed that border communities in Chernihiv oblast received 12 Mitsubishi L200 vehicles. The equipment was provided as part of a long-term partnership between Chernihiv Regional State Administration and German Federal Agency for Technical Relief (Technisches Hilfswerk, THW). The pickup trucks have already been delivered to communities that are subjected to constant shelling.

 

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Ukrainian air defence forces shot down 13 enemy UAVs over the oblast.

 

Nikopol region. In Nikopol, a 58-year-old man was injured. The russian forces attacked the regional centre, Chervonohryhorivka and Pokrovske rural communities by drones and artillery. A private house caught fire. 2 apartment buildings and a vehicle were damaged.

Pavlohrad region. A 60-year-old woman was injured in a UAV attack on Pavlohrad. A fire broke out and 2 private houses were damaged.

Synelnykove region. A UAV attack in Pokrovske community caused a store to catch fire. The russian forces attacked Mykolaivka and Bohynivka communities.

Kryvyi Rih region. The russian forces launched UAV and FPV drone strikes on Kryvyi Rih, Zelenodolsk and Hrushivka communities. An outbuilding, a vehicle and infrastructure were damaged.

 

Nikopol region. The russian forces killed a 77-year-old woman by a drone strike in Chervonohryhorivka community. Overall, 5 people were injured across the region. The occupiers shelled Marhanets and Pokrovske rural communities by artillery and drones. Fires broke out. 3 apartment buildings, a private house, an educational institution, an outbuilding, an unused building, a post office branch, a gas station, a car, a minibus and a garage were damaged.

Synelnykove region. A school caught fire following a UAV attack in Dubovykivka community. KABs struck Pokrovske community, setting a private house on fire. One man was injured.

Kamianske region. A UAV attack in Verkhivtseve community caused a fire and damaged infrastructure.

Kryvyi Rih region. The russian forces attacked Hrushivka and Zelenodolsk communities by drones and artillery. 3 people were injured. A gas pipeline and a vehicle were damaged.

Kirovohrad oblast

In Kropyvnytskyi, residents paid tribute to mortar operator Maksym Naumkin and airborne assault grenade launcher operator Serhii Voloshkov.

Maksym Naumkin was killed on 11 February 2024, while carrying out a combat mission near Robotyne village in Zaporizhzhia oblast. He had been considered missing in action since then. He was 47 years old.

Serhii Voloshkov was killed on 21 September 2025, near Novoekonomichne settlement in Pokrovsk region, Donetsk oblast. He had been listed as missing in action. He was 31 years old.

In Oleksandriia, residents paid tribute to serviceman Eduard Yastreb, who was killed in Donetsk oblast in 2024. He was 55 years old.

Poltava oblast

Artillery brigade platoon commander Artem Chabaniuk was killed in Kharkiv oblast on 15 June 2026, while carrying out combat missions near Boldyrivka village in Kupiansk region. He was 26 years old.

In Poltava, residents paid tribute to 2 fallen defenders of Ukraine – Serhii Valytskyi and Vladyslav Holovnia.

Serhii Valytskyi was killed on 9 October 2024, near Katerynivka village in Marinka urban community of Pokrovsk region, Donetsk oblast, while carrying out a combat mission.

Vladyslav Holovnia was killed on 15 June 2026.

7 people injured in the russian attack on 20 June remain hospitalised in Poltava. 5 of them are children – 4 boys and 1 girl aged 14-15. 3 children are being treated in intensive care, while 2 are in the orthopedic-trauma department. 2 adults remain in moderate condition. Another 8 injured people are receiving outpatient treatment.

 

Myroslav Nos, Head of Hradysk community, informed that in the community, an Alley of Glory honoring fallen defenders of Ukraine will be established. Work is currently underway on metal structures and 13 large portraits of local servicemen who were killed in action. The memorial space is planned near the Orthodox Church of Ukraine in the centre of the settlement. After the war, the community plans to create a larger memorial complex dedicated to all fallen and missing defenders.

Cherkasy oblast

Ihor Taburets, Head of Cherkasy RMA, stated that air defence forces neutralised 6 russian UAVs over Cherkasy oblast during the previous attack. There were no casualties or damage reported.

 

In Cherkasy, residents paid tribute to fallen soldier Pavlo Sokolovskyi. He was killed on 10 June 2026, near Liubytske settlement in Zaporizhzhia oblast.

 

Families of fallen servicemen from Zolotonosha region were presented with state awards. The soldiers were posthumously honored with the Order for Courage and the For Bravery in Battle distinction.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Today, 22 June, russian forces attacked one of the facilities of Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo in Zaporizhzhia. As a result of the strike, two employees working at the energy facility were injured. According to Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo, despite the attack, power engineers managed to restore electricity supply to 22,500 consumers in the region.

Today, 22 June, russian forces also attacked the historic Myklashevsky estate in Bilenke, Zaporizhzhia oblast, using drones. A fire broke out at the site of the strike. As of 12:10pm, the historic estate building in Bilenke had burned down completely.

Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration reported that yesterday, 21 June, russian forces launched 899 strikes on 42 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. russian troops carried out 16 airstrikes on Komyshuvakha, Tavriiske, Zirnytsia, Orikhiv, Novoselivka, Kopani, Chervona Krynytsia, Novopavlivka, Liubytske, Omelnyk, and Shyroke. 626 UAVs of various types (mostly FPV drones) attacked Zaporizhzhia, Kushuhum, Komyshuvakha, Bilenke, Lysohirka, Zelenopillia, Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Stepove, Pavlivka, Lukianivske, Mali Shcherbaky, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Bilohiria, Charivne, Huliaipilske, Vozdvyzhivka, Varvarivka, Dobropillia, Pryluky, Staroukrainka, Sviatopetrivka, Tsvitkove, Preobrazhenka, Novoselivka, Rybne, Hirke, and Kosivtseve. There were also 257 artillery strikes targeting Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Stepove, Pavlivka, Lukianivske, Mali Shcherbaky, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanilivka, Mala Tokmachka, Bilohiria, Charivne, Dobropillia, Pryluky, Rybne, Huliaipilske, and Staroukrainka. Authorities received 60 reports of damage to homes, vehicles, and infrastructure facilities. Three people were killed, and another ten were injured as a result of attacks on Zaporizhzhia and Zaporizhzhia and Polohy regions.

According to the General Staff, as of 4pm on 22 June, Ukraine’s Defense Forces successfully repelled nine enemy attacks near Dobropillia, Huliaipilske, Hirke, Vozdvyzhivka, Tsvitkove, and Staroukrainka towards Huliaipole. One engagement is ongoing. russian forces launched an assault toward Ukrainian positions near Stepove towards Orikhiv. Over the previous day, 21 June, Ukraine’s Defense Forces repelled 32 russian attacks towards Huliaipole and Orikhiv.

Pilots of the SIRIUS unmanned systems battalion of the 118th Separate Mechanized Brigade, operating in Zaporizhzhia sector, destroyed 61 russian Molniya strike drones in one day. According to the brigade’s press service, this became an absolute record for Ukraine’s Defense Forces, surpassing the previous best result of 44 destroyed drones.

During the night of 22 June, Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck an area near the railway station in temporarily occupied Berdiansk. According to Berdiansk City Military Administration, the strike caused a fire.

Yesterday, 21 June, Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck the bridge over the Karachokrak River in temporarily occupied Vasylivka, Zaporizhzhia oblast. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the russian military used the bridge for logistics and troop movement.

Mykolaiv oblast

Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration reported that yesterday the enemy attacked Snihurivka community with an FPV drone. As a result, a private house was damaged in the village of Tamaryne. There were no casualties.

Yesterday, the enemy carried out seven FPV drone attacks on Ochakiv and Kutsurub communities. As a result of one of the strikes, two private houses were damaged in the village of Dmytrivka. In addition, yesterday evening, the enemy launched a strike, preliminarily with KABs, on Ochakiv community. There were no casualties.

Odesa oblast

Odesa Regional Military Administration reported that on the night of 22 June, the enemy attacked civilian shipping in the Black Sea using strike drones. As a result of the strikes, three commercial vessels heading to ports in Odesa oblast were damaged. One of the ships hit was a Panama-flagged bulk carrier. A fire broke out on board, and the crew had to be evacuated. As a result of the attack, one crew member — a cook, a citizen of Egypt — was killed. The enemy also attacked two other civilian vessels flying the flags of Palau and Belize. The ships remained seaworthy.

On the evening of 21 June, the enemy launched an Iskander ballistic missile strike on the territory of an agricultural enterprise in Odesa region. As a result of the attack, vehicles and fuel tanks caught fire. A warehouse building was destroyed. One person was killed and three others were injured.

Kherson oblast

Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that on 22 June, around 3pm, the central part of Kherson was attacked by a russian drone. A  48-year-old man suffered a concussion, blast injury, and a closed traumatic brain injury.

Around 2pm in the village of Molodetske in Bilozerka community, russians attacked a cyclist with a drone. A 41-year-old man sustained shrapnel wounds to the head and arm, a concussion, a blast injury, and a closed traumatic brain injury.

Around 1:15pm, as a result of a russian drone attack in Tsentralnyi district of Kherson, an employee of Kherson Regional Military Administration was injured. The 43-year-old man sustained a mine-blast injury and a concussion.

Around 9am, russian forces attacked Korabelnyi district of Kherson with a drone. A 40-year-old woman sustained a blast injury and shrapnel wounds to the torso.

Around 7am, russian forces attacked a civilian vehicle with a drone in Korabelnyi district of Kherson. As a result of the strike, a 44-year-old employee of a utility enterprise was injured. He sustained a blast injury and a shrapnel wound to the leg.

According to Kherson RMA, today, five residents of the region who were injured in previous russian attacks sought medical assistance. A 68-year-old woman from Dniprovske, who was hit in a russian drone strike the previous evening, sustained a mine-blast injury and a shrapnel wound to the leg. A man who was attacked by a drone in Korabelnyi district of Kherson on 20 June sustained a blast injury and a concussion. A resident of Bilozerka, whose house was shelled by russians on 19 June, was hospitalized with a blast injury and a concussion. Two residents of Blahovishchenske, who came under russian fire on  17 and 18 June, sustained blast injuries and concussions.

The police of Kherson oblast reported that on 21 June, the russian forces attacked Kherson, Yantarne, Shyroka Balka, Veletenske, Antonivka, Sadove, Dniprovske, Prydniprovske, Sofiivka, Stanislav, Oleksandrivka, Poniativka, Kizomys, Inzhenerne, Komyshany, Bilozerka, Novodmytrivka, Tomyna Balka, Zorivka, Rozlyv, Znamianka, Mykilske, Inhulets, Darivka, Beryslav, Mala Oleksandrivka, Tokarieve, Tomaryne, Ukrainska, Zaporizhzhia, Novomykolaivka, Petropavlivka, Bila Krynytsia, Velyka Oleksandrivka, Novodmytrivka, Novohryhorivka, Novopavlivka, Novooleksandrivka, Bilousove, Kucherske, Karierne, Novovorontsovka, Petrivka, Mylove, Kozatske, Vesеле. The attacks damaged a private house, a critical infrastructure facility, a hangar, three vehicles, a tractor, and a storage facility. As a result of the shelling, one person was killed and one injured.

The RMA held an operational meeting. They discussed the development of a system for preparing the population for national resistance in Volyn oblast.

Zakarpattia oblast

Uzhhorod City Council reported  that the III degree For Courage Order was awarded to relatives of Vladyslav Dius, deceased soldier of the Military Unit A1302.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The RMA held a meeting with Kherson RMA team. They discussed access to medical and educational services, social protection, employment, housing and support for children.

Lviv oblast

Foreign volunteers arrived in Lviv oblast with another mission, delivering more than a dozen vehicles for the Ukrainian military as part of the Pickups for Peace initiative. This equipment will help defenders in performing combat missions, evacuations, and logistics on the front line. Along with the vehicles, the benefactors donated generators, medical equipment and supplies.

Rivne oblast

39 children from Rivne oblast returned from a health trip that took place within the framework of a partnership between the oblast and the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship of Poland.

Ternopil oblast

Soldiers of the 44th Brigade were awarded Ternopil decorations. For their service, soldiers were presented with 6 awards from the city mayor, 2 wristwatches and a certificate of gratitude.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

During yesterday’s air alert signal, the Air Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down/suppressed 5 enemy drones. There were no deaths, injuries or damage.

Chernivtsi oblast

The Economic Sustainability Forum was held in Chernivtsi. The event brought together representatives from 18 oblasts of Ukraine and 10 countries around the world.
