Artillery shelling of border areas continues. Today, in Sumy oblast, the settlements of Bachivsk, Tovstodubove, Neskuchne, Sytne, Stepanivka, Korenok, Prohres, Iskryskivshchyna, Vovkivka and Kharkivka were hit; as well as Kryvush in Chernihiv oblast.
Towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk, there was one clash with the enemy; the enemy carried out 47 attacks on settlements and our troops’ positions, one of which involved the use of a multiple launch rocket system.
Towards Southern Sloboda, the enemy twice stormed the positions of our units in the area of the settlement of Vovchansk and towards Khatne.
Towards Kupiansk, the enemy attempted five times to improve its position towards the settlements of Novoosynove and Kupiansk.
Towards Lyman, the enemy did not carry out any offensive operations.
Towards Sloviansk, two clashes with the enemy took place in the areas of the settlements of Rai-Oleksandrivka and Zakytne. One battle is still ongoing.
Towards Kramatorsk, no enemy offensive actions were recorded.
Towards Kostiantynivka, the invaders carried out 11 attacks near the settlements of Kostiantynivka, Kleban-Byk, Pleshchiivka, Novopavlivka, Stepanivka and Sofiivka. One clash is ongoing.
Towards Pokrovsk, the occupiers have attempted 14 times to dislodge our troops from their positions in the areas around the settlements of Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Hryshyne, Udachne, Novomykolaivka and Molodetske. Three clashes are still ongoing.
Towards Oleksandrivka, the enemy launched five attacks in Berezove and towards Oleksandrohrad and Verbove.
Towards Huliaipole, the Defence Forces successfully repelled six enemy attacks in the areas of Huliaipole, Bilohiria and towards the settlements of Staroukrainka and Zaliznychne. The enemy carried out air strikes in the areas of the settlements of Vozdvizhivka, Novoselivka, Shyroke and Charivne. One engagement is currently ongoing.
Towards Orikhiv, the enemy did not conduct any offensive operations, but carried out air strikes on Orikhiv and Mala Tokmachka.
Towards Kherson, no enemy assault operations have been recorded.
In other sectors, there are currently no significant changes in the situation. No attempts by the enemy to advance have been recorded.
Ukrainian troops are wearing down the enemy along the entire line of contact and in the rear.
Police units have received 1,216 reports of suspected bomb threats across a number of regions. Explosive ordnance disposal teams, dog handlers and investigative teams are working at the sites. Investigations and checks are ongoing in accordance with all safety protocols. So far, 20% of these reports have been processed. In none of the cases investigated has the information regarding the bomb threat been confirmed.
Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko reported that he title of Hero of Ukraine has been awarded for the first time to a female National Guard serviceman, Oleksandra Davydenko. Oleksandra is a machine-gunner. Since 2024, she has been serving in the Svoboda battalion as part of the National Guard’s Rubizh 4th Brigade. She carried out missions in Donetsk axis. Despite the constant risk to her life, she has repeatedly saved her comrades, demonstrating a high level of training, composure and dedication to her service. Even after being wounded, she managed to evacuate a comrade from under enemy fire.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
Kyiv Police reported that in Dniprovskyi district of the capital, officers discovered an unexploded warhead from a russian UAV. The munition was located in a forested park area near the Podilsko-Voskresenskyi Bridge. Law enforcement restricted access to the hazardous site. The explosive device was removed to be destroyed through a controlled detonation.
Mykola Kalashnyk, Head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, stated that comprehensive reconstruction is ongoing in Borodianka following the full-scale russian invasion. The settlement is one of 15 pilot communities participating in the flagship “Barrier-Free Movement” project of the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development. Repairs of two additional apartment buildings have now been completed, and solar power plants have been installed on their rooftops.
The Ministry of Health of Ukraine reported that a new rehabilitation center from the national Recovery network has opened in Kyiv. This is the fourth such facility in Kyiv oblast. The center is equipped with modern technology to support the recovery of patients with severe injuries, including gunshot wounds and blast-related trauma. Nearly 1,000 service members will be able to undergo rehabilitation there free of charge each year.
Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko announced that since the beginning of the year, Kyiv has received a total of 72 generators of varying capacity from its German partner cities, Leipzig and Hamburg. The final batch of power supply units from this aid package arrived today.
Zhytomyr oblast
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi visited units of the 95th Separate Air Assault Polissia Brigade. He presented awards to 20 service members of the Zhytomyr brigade.
Members of the volunteer community “Bdzilky-Trudivnytsi (hard-working bees)” from Olevsk community in Zhytomyr oblast have been supporting Ukrainian troops for the fifth year by weaving camouflage nets. In total, they have produced 39,600 square meters of netting. The women also collect food, clothing, and funds to meet the needs of defenders.

Sumy oblast
Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that on 30 March, the enemy carried out a strike with guided aerial bombs on a residential area of Hlukhiv community. As of the evening of 30 March, 11 people were reported injured, including one child. All were taken to hospital. A 50-year-old man is in serious condition. The full extent of the damage is being clarified.

Mayor Artem Semenikhin said that in Konotop, the enemy damaged an infrastructure facility. The explosion occurred at around 11am on 30 March. Part of the city’s residents were left without gas supply.
The Regional Prosecutor’s Office informed that on 29 March, russia attacked Mykolaivka rural community by a UAV. Three people were reported injured. The strike occurred in the morning, but the victims sought medical assistance in the evening. Those injured include a 52-year-old man, his 26-year-old son and a 40-year-old woman.
Between the morning of 29 March and the morning of 30 March, russian forces carried out nearly 50 attacks on 25 settlements across 17 territorial communities of the oblast. The highest number of attacks was recorded in Sumy and Shostka regions. The enemy used artillery, multiple launch rocket systems, FPV drones, UAVs and guided aerial bombs. Over the past day, the air raid alert in the oblast lasted for 22 hours and 48 minutes.
Civilian infrastructure was damaged and destroyed:
- In Shostka community, non-residential premises were destroyed, and vehicles, private residential houses, apartment buildings and a civilian infrastructure facility were damaged;
- In Seredyna-Buda community, a civilian infrastructure facility, a private residential house and a vehicle were damaged;
- In Znob-Novhorodske community, a private residential house was damaged;
- In Berezivka community, an apartment building was damaged;
- In Shalyhyne community, a private house was destroyed, and an apartment building and a private residential house were damaged;
- In Mykolaivka rural community, a private residential house and a civilian infrastructure facility were damaged;
- In Vorozhba community, a non-residential premises was damaged;
- In Sumy community, non-residential premises, outbuildings, a civilian infrastructure facility and a private residential house were damaged;
- In Krolevets community, an outbuilding was destroyed, and a private car, a private residential house and an outbuilding were damaged;
- In Khutir-Mykhailivskyi community, an outbuilding was damaged.
A six-year-old girl injured as a result of russian shelling of Znob-Novhorodske community on 29 March remains in critical condition. A residential house where two sisters were staying came under attack. The older sister, a 20-year-old woman, was killed. The six-year-old child sustained severe injuries and was taken to hospital, where she underwent surgery. Doctors are currently fighting for her life and consulting specialists from Okhmatdyt. According to medical assessments, transportation is not possible.
Chernihiv oblast
The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported that during the night of 30 March, in the skies over Chernihiv oblast, fighters of the 105th Border Guard Detachment shot down 14 russian UAVs. Enemy forces attacked Ukraine with strike drones of various types. Border guards destroyed seven Shahed UAVs, four Herbera UAVs, one Zala UAV, one copter-type drone and one “Zhdun” drone.
Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, said that over the past week, from 23 to 29 March, Defence Forces shot down 427 enemy strike drones in the skies over Chernihiv oblast.
Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration, informed that at around 8:20pm on 29 March, russian forces attacked Semenivka town by a strike UAV. As a result of the impact, the roof of a former dairy plant building was damaged.
According to the National Police of Chernihiv oblast, as a result of enemy strikes on residential areas of the city of Novhorod-Siverskyi on 29 March, a 15-year-old girl was injured. Residential houses, a kindergarten and a woodworking enterprise were damaged.
The City Council reported that following a russian attack on critical infrastructure in Chernihiv on the evening of 29 March, a facility involved in the heating system caught fire. The fire was extinguished by units of the State Emergency Service. No casualties were reported.
Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment informed that during 29 March, russian forces attacked three border communities of Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka and Snovsk. The enemy carried out mortar shelling (12 explosions) and tube artillery shelling (1 explosion), launched strikes using Molniia-type UAVs (2 explosions), FPV drones (16 explosions), and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (2 explosions).
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Air defence forces shot down 18 enemy UAVs over the oblast.
Nikopol region. A 46-year-old woman sought medical assistance following yesterday’s strikes on Nikopol. She will continue treatment at home. In the evening and morning, russian forces again attacked the region by FPV drones and artillery, targeting the regional centre and Myrove community. A power line was damaged.
Synelnykove region. The russian forces struck Petropavlivka and Vasylkivka communities by UAVs. Fires broke out. In Vasylkivka community, an apartment on the second floor of a multi-apartment building, a garage and a minibus caught fire.
Kryvyi Rih region. A UAV attack in Kryvyi Rih caused damage to infrastructure. Also, Zelenodolsk community was targeted.
One person killed and 12 injured as russian forces attacked 3 regions.
Nikopol region. In Pokrovske rural community, a 65-year-old man was killed. 2 men, aged 55 and 62, were injured. In Nikopol, 8 people were injured: men aged 54, 45, 40 and 28, and women aged 59, 64, 46 and 22.
In Myrove community, a 73-year-old woman was injured.
During the day, russian forces continued shelling the region by drones and artillery, targeting Marhanets and Chervonohryhorivka communities. Fires broke out. A gymnasium, 4 shops, 3 high-rise buildings, 5 private houses, 2 outbuildings, power lines, an enterprise, an unused building, 4 cars, a minibus, a garage, a greenhouse and a gas pipeline were damaged.
Kryvyi Rih region. A 68-year-old man was injured. FPV drones and UAVs struck Zelenodolsk and Hrushivka communities. A private house, a vehicle, a solar panel and a gas pipeline were damaged.
Synelnykove region. The russian forces attacked Mykolaivka community by UAVs.
Kirovohrad oblast
In Novoukrainka community, residents paid tribute to defender Vadym Kutsyi. He served as a rifleman in an airmobile unit of the 79th Separate Air Assault Brigade in Donetsk oblast. He went missing during a combat mission and was later confirmed killed on 16 March 2024, near Novomykhailivka in Pokrovsk region of Donetsk oblast.
Poltava oblast
In Poltava, a memorial ceremony was held for police special forces officer Viacheslav Kurochka, who was killed on 2 March 2026, in Donetsk oblast. He had served in law enforcement and the National Police of Ukraine for over 10 years.
In Hadiach, residents will pay tribute to fallen serviceman Yurii Kyrsa. He had been considered missing in action since 16 April 2025, and was later confirmed killed while carrying out a combat mission in Luhansk oblast.
Cherkasy oblast
Ihor Taburets, Head of Cherkasy RMA, stated that 3 russian UAVs were neutralised over Cherkasy oblast. There were no casualties or damage reported.

Zaporizhzhia oblast
Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration reported that yesterday, 29 March, the occupiers carried out 823 strikes on 38 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. russian forces conducted 18 airstrikes on Zarichne, Marianivka, Dolynka, Shyroke, Kopani, Staroukrainka, Zalyvne, Zorivka, Sofiivka, Huliaipilske, Charivne, and Vozdvyzhivka. 456 UAVs of various modifications (mostly FPV) attacked Zaporizhzhia, Bilenke, Rizdvianets, Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Stepove, Lukianivske, Pavlivka, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Mali Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Bilohria, Myrne, Hirkove, Zelene, Solodke, Varvarivka, Dobropillia, Pryluky, Tsvitkove, Vasylivske, and Preobrazhenka. There were three MLRS strikes on Zaliznychne and Shcherbaky. 346 artillery strikes targeted Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Stepove, Lukianivske, Pavlivka, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Mali Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Bilohria, Zelene, Varvarivka, Dobropillia, Pryluky, Solodke, and Huliaipilske. 36 reports were received about damage to infrastructure, residential buildings, and vehicles. One person was killed, and four others were injured as a result of enemy attacks in Zaporizhzhia and Polohy regions.
The General Staff reported that as of 4pm on 30 March, the Defense Forces successfully repelled six enemy attacks in the areas of Huliaipole, Bilohiria, Staroukrainka, and Zaliznychne towards Huliaipole. One engagement is currently ongoing. Over the past day, 29 March, the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled 10 russian attacks towards Huliaipole direction and one towards Orikhiv.
Today, 30 March, more than 100 anonymous reports were received about alleged mining of administrative buildings, enterprises, organizations, and banks in Zaporizhzhia. According to the Chief Directorate of the National Police in Zaporizhzhia oblast, such reports are often another information attack by the occupiers. At present, the information about the mining was not confirmed, although inspections of the buildings are ongoing.
Mykolaiv oblast
Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration reported that yesterday, 29 March, combat operations were ongoing in the region. Over the past day, seven strike UAVs of the Shahed-131/136 type and various types of decoy drones were shot down or suppressed.
Odesa oblast
Today, at approximately 12:36pm, an explosion was heard in Odesa. The Air Force had warned about UAVs heading toward the city.
According to the press service of the South Air Command, on 29 March, russian forces struck Odesa oblast with an Iskander-M ballistic missile launched from the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea. As of 9:30am on 30 March, air defense forces in southern Ukraine shot down or suppressed 34 drones of various types, including Shahed, Gerbera, as well as reconnaissance and strike UAVs.
Kherson oblast
Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that on 30 March, at around 13:20, russian forces once again attacked Korabelnyi district of Kherson with a UAV. A 66-year-old woman sustained blast injuries and a shrapnel wound to her leg.
According to Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson Regional Military Administration, at approximately 10:20am, russian forces attacked a minibus in central Kherson with a drone. As a result of the strike, a 62-year-old man sustained shrapnel wounds to his face, abdomen, and leg, as well as a concussion, blast injuries, and a closed traumatic brain injury.
Today, a man who had been injured on 26 March in Beryslav after hitting a russian explosive device with his bicycle was brought to the hospital. The 51-year-old sustained blast injuries, a leg wound, and a traumatic amputation of his foot.
Medical assistance was also required for two people whose car was attacked by a drone on the outskirts of Kherson on 27 March. A 59-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman sustained blast injuries and concussions.
The Police of Kherson oblast reported that yesterday, 29 March, russian forces attacked Kherson, Antonivka, Sofiivka, Tavriiske, Kizomys, Sadove, Shyroka Balka, Kyselivka, Yantarne, Pryozerne, Komyshany, Inzhenerne, Dariivka, Prydniprovske, Blahovishchenske, Naddniprianske, Oleksandrivka, Doslidne, Hrozove, Barvinok, Tomyna Balka, Beryslav, Tverdomedove, Velyka Oleksandrivka, Osokorivka, Khreshchenivka, Urozhaine, Olzhyne, Tryfonivka, Novovorontsovka, Novohryhorivka, Ukrainka, Piatykhatky, Nova Shestirnia, Novovoskresenske, Vysoke, Kozatske, and Vesele. In these settlements, 22 objects were damaged: an apartment building, seven private houses, a critical infrastructure facility, an administrative building, three passenger cars and five trucks, a solar panel, an industrial facility, an outbuilding, and a gas pipeline. As a result of russian attacks, one person was killed, and three were injured.
A spokesperson for the 30th Marine Corps, Pavlo Drohal, stated that over the past week, russian forces launched 4,416 drones on the right bank of Kherson oblast — more than 1,000 more than the previous week. Ukrainian units destroyed or suppressed 4,202 of them.
Police evacuated eight residents from the frontline village of Novokairy in Beryslav region. According to police, officers made two trips to the village, which is under constant russian attacks. Most of those evacuated were elderly people.
Activists from the Yellow Ribbon movement reported that occupiers are forcing residents in the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson oblast to register their home Wi-Fi routers. According to the activists, under the guise of “registration”, the occupiers are creating databases of equipment and users, gaining tools to track activity, block access to resources, and exert pressure on people.

Zakarpattia oblast
A regional command and staff exercise with government agencies and civil defense forces is planned for three days, from 31 March to 2 April, in the oblast. The key goal is to increase readiness to respond to potential emergencies under martial law and to work out clear algorithms for protecting the population.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
A meeting was held in Prykarpattia with representatives of the Slovak Republic, representatives of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for the Recovery Plan and the Knowledge Economy, Yurii Toporchak, Director of the Department of Recovery of Ukraine, and Anastasia Semanchakova, State Counselor. The meeting focused on the issue of establishing economic cooperation – new opportunities for trade, attracting investment, and supporting Ukraine’s European integration course.
Lviv oblast
4 memorial plaques were unveiled and consecrated on the facade of Sokal Secondary School №4. They were erected in memory of Volodymyr Lyashuk, Andrii Hnatiuk, Ivan Bashtyk and Oleh Shamanskyi, who were killed defending Ukraine.
Rivne oblast
An open free training course ReSkill Defence Forces. Circle of Safety was held in the regional center of Rivne oblast. The instructors were veterans who underwent retraining as part of the project with the support of the Defence Forces and the Unity ICAP NGO.
Ternopil oblast
Over UAH 20m for the first quarter of 2026, Ternopil City Council allocated to the needs of the front and defenders within the framework of the Defense Capability program. Over UAH 11m was transferred directly to the accounts of military units so that the units could independently purchase the necessary equipment and supplies. In addition, over UAH 10m was allocated to the purchase of equipment, including communications equipment, machinery, unmanned systems and other necessary equipment that works on the front line every day. As well as two cars: an SUV and a minibus, which were purchased without using budget funds.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
Khmelnytskyi community sent 200 10-inch FPV drones worth UAH 2.2m to the defense forces.
Chernivtsi oblast
The Chernivtsivodokanal KP received modern energy equipment from partners from Germany. This is a 32 kW hybrid generator with a diesel engine, solar panels and a built-in battery worth UAH 95,000. It will be used for emergency crews – especially in cases of outages or emergencies. The equipment was transferred as part of the project of international support for Ukrainian cities with the assistance of the municipality of Düsseldorf.
