It has been the 518 th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

 What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

The russian army launched 3 missile and 28 aviation strikes, as well as more than 10 MRLS attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian settlements. There were casualties among the civilian population. Residential buildings were damaged.

Ukraine is still under the threat of missile and aviation strikes.

There have been 25 military clashes.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, the operational situation did not change.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the russian army maintains a military presence. They conducted mortar and artillery shelling on over 20 settlements, including Semenivka and Yasna Poliana in Chernihiv oblast; Vilna Sloboda, Stepne, Basivka, Mohrytsia, Pokrovka in Sumy oblast; and Veterynarne, Strilecha, Hlyboke, and Kolodyazne in Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Kupiansk, russian troops conducted unsuccessful offensive actions south of Novoselivka in Luhansk oblast. Dvorichna, Zapadne, Tabaiivka, and Topoli in Kharkiv oblast were affected with russian artillery and mortar shelling.

Towards Lyman, the russian army launched  unsuccessful offensive actions in the area south of Dibrova in Luhansk oblast. Settlements such as Nevske, Bilohorivka in Luhansk oblast, and Torske, Verkhniokamianske, and Spirne in Donetsk oblast were shelled with artillery.

Towards Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian soldiers successfully repelled russian attacks in areas north of Khromove, east of Druzhba, and north of Klischiivka. The russian army conducted an aviation strike in Klishchiivka area of Donetsk oblast. Over 10 settlements, including Vasiukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka, and Chasiv Yar in Donetsk oblast, were affected by russian artillery shelling.

Towards Avdiivka, Ukrainian military successfully repelled russian attacks in the vicinity of Avdiivka, despite intense fire of russian aviation and artillery. At the same time, the russian army fired from artillery at over 10 settlements, including Novokalynove, Stepove, Avdiivka, and Severne in Donetsk oblast.

Towards Mariinka, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to hold back the russian troops’ advancement in the area of Mairinka. The russian army conducted an aviation strike near Krasnohorivka. Settlements such as Kurakhivka, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Marinka, and Pobieda in Donetsk oblast experienced artillery shelling.

Towards Shakhtarsk, the russian army made unsuccessful attempts to regain lost positions in  Staromykhailivka area of Donetsk oblast. The russian army conducted aviation strikes in  Blahodatne area of Donetsk oblast. Over 10 settlements, including Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Velyka Novosilka, and Blahodatne in Donetsk oblast, were shelled by russian soldiers.

Towards Zaporizhzhia and Kherson, the russian army concentrated its main efforts on preventing further advancement of Ukrainian troops. Russian soldiers conducted aviation strikes in the areas of Novodanilivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Pyatyhatky in Zaporizhzhia oblast and Antonivka in Kherson oblast. Over 30 settlements, including Malynivka, Huliaipole, Stepove, Lobkove, and Kamianske in Zaporizhzhia oblast, Nikopol in Dnipropetrovsk oblast, Dudchany, Beryslav, Koza, Molodizhne, Antonivka, and Kizomys in Kherson oblast, and Ivanivka in Mykolaiv oblast, were affected by Russian artillery shelling. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue their offensive operation towards Melitopol and Berdiansk, holding their positions and inflicting fire damage on the russian army.

The aviation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched 11 strikes on russian manpower, equipment, and military vehicle buildups, and 2 strikes on their anti-aircraft missile systems.

The rocket troops and artillery units hit 9 russian artillery systems at their firing positions and targeted 2 command posts of russian troops within the day.

“Industrial portal” announced that Ukraine presented a novel self-produced marine-type MAGURA V5 UAV. The UAV can conduct surveillance, reconnaissance, patrolling, search and rescue operations, mine countermeasures, naval protection, and combat missions.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal reported 40 billion hryvnias have been allocated for production of Ukrainian drones. Currently, over 40 companies have contracts with the state. The production of UAVs has increased several times.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, at least 8 settlements were under mortar and artillery attack. Specifically, Dvorichna, Tabaivka, and Veterynarne were targeted.

Hanna Maliar, Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, said that towards Kupiansk and Lyman, russian troops are trying to push the Ukrainian defence with no success, shelling positions with artillery, attacking with infantry groups and using special forces.

Viktor Kovalenko, Head of Zolochiv Civil-Military Administration, reported that russians shelled Ivashky with mortars at around 3:30 pm. According to him, as a result of the attack, there is no electricity in the village as the substation was almost destroyed and the building of Ivashky lyceum damaged.

Also, at around 12:20 am, russian army shelled Buhaivka of Vovchansk community. The shells hit an open area and caught dry grass on fire. According to the press service of Kharkiv Regional State Emergency Service, the fire spread over an area of one hectare and took an hour and a half to extinguish.

Oleksandr Tertyshnyi, Head of Borove Civil-Military Administration, informed that the situation in the frontline community is under control, there is no forced evacuation from the villages bordering Luhansk oblast.

A shelter for people with limited mobility evacuated from shelling in Kharkiv, Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts is being prepared for opening in a Kharkiv dormitory. It will accommodate more than 30 people, who will be looked after by 12 staff members in three shifts. The first evacuees will be received here on 27 July.

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the Regional Military Administration, reported that together with Oleksandr Kuts, Head of Kharkiv Regional Department of the Security Service of Ukraine, there was a special redemption of the final stamp of the Ukrposhta series “Glory to the Defence and Security Forces of Ukraine”. The Security Service of Ukraine stamp is dedicated to Ukrainian special forces who perform unique special operations and work in the hottest spots of the war. The new stamp, issued in 1.75 million copies, is another expression of our respect, honour and gratitude to Ukraine’s defenders.

Yesterday russian invaders shelled settlements of Bohodukhiv, Kharkiv, Chuhuiv, Kupiansk, Lozova and Izium regions with artillery, mortars and other weapons. Specifically, Kupiansk, Vovchansk, Huriv Kozachok, Hraniv, Bochkove, Krasne Pershe, Dvorichna, Zapadne and others were under enemy attack.

Last night, the enemy attacked Pervomaisk, Lozova region, using UAVs. A warehouse building was damaged and a fire broke out. There were no casualties.

In Kupiansk, 2 private residential buildings were damaged by shelling from multiple rocket launchers. In Podoly village, Kupiansk region, a fire broke out in a coniferous forest due to shelling.

In Kozacha Lopan village, Kharkiv region, a private building and a power line were damaged.

At least 3 private residential buildings were damaged in Vilcha, Chuhuiv region.

Mine clearance is ongoing. Yesterday pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service defused 78 explosive ordnance.

Donetsk oblast

Towards Lyman-Kupiansk, the enemy conducted two assaults south of Dibrova yesterday. Snd russians launched 682 artillery and mortar attacks, and six air raids.

Serhii Cherevatyi, Spokesman of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said that 24 invaders were eliminated and 70 injured, one more taken prisoner.

A tank, two armoured personnel carriers, three mortars, a Rapira anti-tank artillery system, an AGS-17 automatic grenade launcher, four Lancet kamikaze drones and a russian ammunition depot were hit and destroyed.

Heavy fighting continues near Klishchiivka, Kurdiumivka and Andriivka, south of Bakhmut.  According to Hanna Maliar, Deputy Minister of Defence, russian troops are resisting the Defence Forces of Ukraine despite their losses.

Donetsk Regional Military Administration reported that yesterday russians killed 2 civilians in Kostiantynivka and Avdiivka, 2 more people were injured.

Towards Volnovakha, Vuhledar and Bohoiavlenka were shelled without any casualties.

Towards Donetsk, 1 person was killed and 1 injured in Avdiivka. Three buildings were damaged in Dalne Kurakhove community. Krasnohorivka and Novomykhailivka of Marinka community and Ocheretyne were shelled with artillery.

Towards Horlivka, 2 buildings were damaged in Toretsk and a mine was shelled in Pivnichne. Russians dropped a bomb on Niu-York. Two buildings were damaged in Chasiv Yar community. In Soledar community, Vasiukivka, Rozdolivka and Fedorivka were under attack.

Towards Lysychansk, a building in Siversk, 3 buildings in Torske of Lyman community were damaged. Zvanivka and Pereizne were shelled.

On 26 July, russian troops shelled Vasyukivka, Krasnohorivka and Soloviove with artillery. According to Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, three people were injured in the shelling and a man is in a coma.

Tetiana Ihnatchenko, Spokeswoman of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, said that russians shelled Toretsk community, killing one person in Zalizne and injuring three in Toretsk.

A special redemption of a stamp dedicated to the Security Service of Ukraine took place in Pokrovsk, Donetsk region. It completes the series of stamps “Glory to the Defence and Security Forces of Ukraine!”.

Mstyslav Chernov’s documentary 20 Days in Mariupol movie will be screened in US cinemas. Mstyslav Chernov, a videographer, together with photographer Yevhen Malolietka and producer and journalist Vasylisa Stepanenko, were the last journalists to cover the beginning of Russia’s destruction of Mariupol.

Luhansk oblast

Luhansk Regional Military Administration reported that the enemy is using aviation ten or more times a day in the eastern part of the frontline. They are hitting both military positions and settlements. Yesterday, Novoselivske and Bilohorivka were targeted. Nevske was shelled with artillery. Also russians tried to advance south of Dibrova but our soldiers are holding the line.

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, collaborators from the power structures have started receiving summonses. According to russians, this is the easiest way to liberate places for their people, who will come to the occupied Luhansk oblast from different regions and get employed in the so-called “law enforcement agencies” immediately to take up senior positions. No one needs traitors. Civilians are also neglected. While the occupying media reports on hundreds of restored buildings, residents of Sievierodonetsk are increasingly complaining about the poor quality of the demonstration repairs of their apartment buildings. The water and heating systems are in a half dismantled state. The work has been stopped for several months. The contractor has left the city. According to locals, the building was in better condition before the intervention of the repairmen than it is now.

Luhansk Regional Military Administration said that an Achilles strike UAV unit of the 92nd Separate Mechanised Brigade named after Otaman Ivan Sirko destroyed an enemy T-80 tank with a drone at night. A $500 drone and a $3,000 ammunition destroyed a tank worth $2.2 million.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

According to Ruslan Kravchenko, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, construction of a new bridge over the Zdvyzh River has been completed in Borodyanka. It was destroyed by the russians at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. In total, 47 out of 50 artificial structures damaged by the Russians in Kyiv oblast during the hostilities have already been restored.

Vitali Klitschko met with US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ukraine Bridget Brink and representatives of the Embassy in Kyiv City Hall. According to the mayor, they discussed the economic and social situation in Kyiv, preparations for the heating season, security cooperation and the renewal of energy infrastructure.

The first 37 apartments for temporary accommodation of internally displaced persons were commissioned in Kyiv. Vitali Klitschko, the mayor of Kyiv, reported that in total, 113 apartments have been purchased by the city – they are owned by the local community, which provides them free of charge to IDPs. According to him, as of today, 810 families of internally displaced persons are in need of temporary accommodation.

The Coordination Centre for the Treatment of Prisoners of War reported that relatives of national guardsmen who defended the Chernobyl NPP and were taken prisoner complain about the poor conditions of their detention, including the lack of proper medical care. This was discussed during a regular meeting with the families of the National Guardsmen (military unit 3041) captured at the Chornobyl NPP.

Kyiv Regional Military Administration has announced the creation of a catalogue of facilities restored in 2022 at the expense of funds allocated from the state budget reserve fund. The catalogue is developed for transparency and accountability to the residents of the oblast. It will be constantly updated.

Tactical exercises for rescuers on fire fighting and rescue of people at a high-rise office centre were held in Makariv village. According to the State Emergency Service of Kyiv oblast, the exercise involved the interaction of rescuers with the facility’s administration to organise firefighting and evacuation of personnel and material assets.

Representatives of religious confessions and institutions in the oblast presented their participation in the project “Spiritual Front of Kyiv Oblast”. At the meeting of the Council of Churches and Religious Organisations, participants shared their experience of psychological assistance and material support for internally displaced persons, people affected by the war, and work with children.

Zhytomyr oblast

The regional military administration reported that since the beginning of the year, the state has financed rehabilitation services worth over UAH 64 million in Zhytomyr oblast. All services are free of charge for patients and are fully covered by the National Health Service under the Medical Guarantee Programme.

Vitaliy Bunechko, head of Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration, reported about the meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Estonia to Ukraine Kaimo Kuusk. They discussed the results of cooperation on the restoration of infrastructure destroyed by the russians in the Zhytomyr oblast and the provision of humanitarian aid to the oblast.

10 Zhytomyr brigades help restore Kherson oblast as part of “Shoulder to Shoulder” project. 39 employees work directly at 24 sites in Tryfonivka village. It is planned to restore 154 facilities: 147 residential buildings and 7 social infrastructure facilities.

According to Sergiy Sukhomlyn, Mayor of Zhytomyr, Zhytomyr oblast has spent UAH 60 million on drones this year, of which more than UAH 46 million were allocated from the budget of Zhytomyr community. Data published on the public procurement platform Prozorro in 2023.

Sumy oblast

According to Sumy Regional Military Administration, on 25 July, the russians shelled 9 communities and 17 settlements in Sumy oblast. There were 24 attacks launched by the enemy at the border areas of the oblast. 136 explosions were recorded. Bilopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Seredyno-Buda, Krasnopillia, Khotin, Nova Sloboda, Yunakivka, Znob-Novgorodske, Hlukhiv, and Esman communities were shelled. Houses, a church, a school, a house of culture and a power line were damaged.

In the night and in the morning, there were 7 attacks launched. In total, there were 26 explosions recorded. Enemy UAV dropped 2 VOG type charges in Miropilska community. The enemy launched attacks with mortars, artillery, and large-calibre machine guns. 

In Sumy oblast, the Security Service of Ukraine served a notice of suspicion to Metropolitan of the UOC (MP), who blessed russian occupiers and in every way supported and praised the russians in the war with Ukraine. This refers to the cleric of the UOC, former Metropolitan Iosif of Romny and Buryn (aka Alexei Maslennikov). After the start of the full-scale invasion, he fled to Russia. He is currently on the wanted list. 

Vyacheslav Marynych, head of the Sumy Directorate of Ukrposhta JSC, stamp in honour of SBU officers was canceled in Sumy. The stamp has a circulation of 1,075,000 copies. Number of stamps per sheet is -5+1 coupon. The stamp is accompanied by a “First Day” envelope, an unmarked artistic envelope and an artistic card. The issue was made with the assistance of the Security Service of Ukraine. Volodymyr Artyukh, head of Sumy Regional Military Administration, took part in the special stamp cancellation event. 

The Memorandum of Cooperation was signed within the framework of the pilot project “Safety Specialist in the Educational Environment” between the Main Department of the National Police of Ukraine in Sumy Oblast, the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Sumy Oblast, the Department of Education and Science of the Sumy Oblast State Administration and the heads of six territorial communities. 

Chernihiv oblast

The State Border Guard Service reported that over the past 24 hours, the russians opened fire five times from their territory on the border of Chernihiv oblast. In total, 22 explosions were recorded as of the morning of 26 July. Novhorod-Siversk, Semenivka, and Snovsk communities were shelled. The enemy applied artillery and mortar fire. Also, 1 explosive device was dropped from a UAV.

According to Vyacheslav Chaus, head of the regional military administration, over the past week alone, the enemy opened fire 28 times inflicting 192 shells on 18 settlements in Chernihiv oblast. The enemy launched 3 air attacks, including one attack using Shahed kamikaze drones and a missile attack using Iskander cruise missiles. As a result of hostile shelling, two women died, civilian infrastructure and private houses were damaged and destroyed.

According to Vyacheslav Chaus, head of the regional military administration, 15 communities of Chernihiv oblast will be selected to participate in the project “DECIDE: REBUILD. School Rehabilitation Initiative”, implemented with the support of Switzerland. This includes not only restoration, but also about the involvement of the community and the school staff in creating a safe, modern educational environment. The results are to be announced on 15 August.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

According to Head of the regional council Mykola Lukashuk, the russian army shelled Nikopol with artillery in the morning . A private enterprise and an administrative building, an outbuilding, 3 private residential buildings, a car, a gas pipeline and 3 power lines were damaged.

The spokesman for the Air Force of Ukraine Yurii Ihnat said that

during an air alert in the evening, the Air Defence Forces shot down an air target over Dnipropetrovsk oblast. 

Nikopol City Council reported that Nikopol community was included in the list of territories of active hostilities where state electronic information resources operate. The relevant order was issued by the Ministry of Integration. 

In Kamianske, young people are taught to counteract information attacks. With the support of ‘Bdzhola’, a forum ‘Community Youth’ was launched in the town.

Vinnytsia oblast

Ukrainian Air Force reported that two Kalibr cruise missiles were shot down during an air raid alert in Vinnytsia oblast. 

“Zaychyk-Peremohaychyk” (“Victorious Bunny”) charity project for children of defenders is being implemented in Vinnytsia by the daughter of a fallen defender. The project is an initiative of Ukrainian Elina Brukhatska, who lives in Greece. With the help of volunteers, she finds the addresses of children of volunteers, injured, captured, and killed soldiers, and sends them gifts.

Kirovohrad oblast

Since the beginning of the year, UAH 3.3 million worth of unmanned aerial vehicles have been purchased in Kirovohrad oblast using the Prozorro system.

An exhibition of “Chronicles of Victory” by a Cherkasy artist opened in Kropyvnytskyi. The exhibition features 57 paintings based on significant events of the russian-Ukrainian war.

Poltava oblast

According to Dmytro Lunin, Head of the Poltava Regional State Administration, in Pravdyne, Kherson oblast, repair teams from Poltava Oblast have already started installing windows in 23 houses. The first 48 windows have been delivered. Entrance doors have also been installed in five houses.  16 houses were provided with building materials. 23 workers are involved.

Cherkasy oblast

Naida, a shepherd dog who helps Cherkasy sapper divers, became the heroine of a comic book. The idea is to help schoolchildren learn better safety rules and how to handle explosive devices.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Yesterday, russian forces launched 79 strikes on 22 settlements. Out of these, 61 artillery strikes targeted Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Levadne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, Stepnohirske, Kamianske, Stepove, Piatykhatky, and other frontline villages. Additionally, 9 aviation strikes hit Orikhiv and Novodanylivka, and 6 rocket launcher strikes were reported in Temyrivka, Iehorivka, and Novodarivka. There were also 3 drone attacks on Olhivske and Novodarivka. As a result of the strike on Orikhiv, two people were injured. Authorities received 34 reports of private houses, economic structures, and infrastructure being damaged.

The mining of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant and the ongoing hostilities near the nuclear facility pose a threat to the safety of the entire region. This statement was made by U.S. State Department Deputy Spokesperson Vedant Patel, commenting on the discovery of landmines by the IAEA at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. The United States calls for an immediate halt to such actions.

During aerial reconnaissance towards Zaporizhzhia, Ukrainian defenders discovered wounded comrades. With the help of a drone, they provided water and medical supplies to the injured soldiers and assisted them in reaching Ukrainian positions.

As part of the “e-Restoration” program, residents of Kushuhum community received over one million hryvnias in compensation for damaged property. Approximately one hundred residents have already received the payouts.

Mykolaiv oblast

Yesterday in the evening, an unknown type of mine was washed ashore on the Black Sea coast in Mykolaiv oblast, and detonated spontaneously. Several dozen windows in buildings of a recreational facility were damaged due to the explosion. According to the “South” operational Command, no one was injured.

Representatives of the project “Democratic Governance in Eastern Ukraine” (DG East) from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) visited Mykolaiv on a working visit. The Development Agency of Mykolaiv informed that the partners visited the renovated shelters and temporary accommodation centers for internally displaced persons (IDPs). Furniture, bedding, washing, and drying machines were provided to furnish these facilities. They also observed the process of serving the city’s residents at one of the local government service centers (CNAP) where office and computer equipment were donated. Additionally, they visited one of the municipal enterprises that recently received ten powerful diesel generators. Over the past year of cooperation, USAID provided technical assistance (equipment and machinery) to the Mykolaiv City Territorial Community for a total value of over 26 million hryvnias.

17 out of 20 bridges in Mykolaiv oblast destroyed by russian shelling have already been restored. This was announced during today’s briefing by the head of the RMA, Vitalii Kim.

Odesa oblast

As of midnight, there have been no russian missile-carrying aircraft spotted in the Black Sea, but the level of danger for Odesa oblast remains high. The “South” Operational Command reminds that it takes about one and a half hours for the adversary to deploy strategic aviation (Tu-22m3) to the combat positions in the Black Sea waters to carry out missile strikes. Additionally, there is a possibility of deploying additional fleet units in the Black Sea waters. At the same time, the coastal missile system “Bastion-P” (with the “Oniks” cruise missile) is located on the western coast of Crimea, and missiles of this type are challenging to intercept.

This morning, two mines detonated spontaneously in the water near one of the beaches in Odesa oblast. Their type could not be determined. One of them caused damage to a vacation house near the sea in Vapniarka. According to the “South” Operational Command, no casualties have been reported.

During the russian drone kamikaze attacks on the Reni port, a Romanian vessel was affected, as reported by HotNews.ro with reference to the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA). The MFA stated that they are investigating the incident through representatives of the Consulate General in Odesa, which is temporarily operating in the Ministry’s central office. According to preliminary information, the ship suffered minor damages and was able to continue its voyage. The crew was not injured. Romanian President Klaus Iohannis stated that russia’s attacks pose a serious threat to security in the Black Sea. Some sailors and shipowners are refusing to work with Ukrainian ports due to concerns about the safety of vessels and crews.

With the support of Switzerland, school shelters will be established in five communities in Odesa oblast as part of the DECIDE “Reconstruction. School Restoration Initiative” project. The initiative aims to build school shelters. The list of communities where new shelters will be installed includes not only the Odesa oblast but also two other regions of the country: Poltava and Chernihiv oblasts.

Kherson oblast

Yesterday, the enemy conducted 55 shelling attacks on Kherson oblast, firing 300 shells from mortars, artillery, “Grad” multiple rocket launchers, tanks, aviation, anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs), and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The russian forces targeted residential areas in populated areas of the region and a territory of one of the agricultural enterprises in Kakhovka region. As a result of the russian aggression, two people were killed, and three others were wounded. The police opened 26 criminal proceedings regarding crimes committed by russian military on the territory of the region.

Consequences of the russian attack. Photo: Police of Kherson oblastYesterday, around 23:00, an elderly couple in Antonivka fell under enemy attack. A 72-year-old woman died from her injuries, while her 74-year-old husband sustained minor abdominal injuries.

Law enforcement agencies are attempting to locate 731 individuals whom the russian occupiers kidnapped in Kherson oblast. Among them are city council heads, village elders, deputies, law enforcement officers, and others. According to Anastasiia Vesilovska, the spokesperson for the Kherson oblast Prosecutor’s Office, more than 1,500 people have gone missing or were abducted during the period of russian aggression. The efforts to locate these individuals are ongoing.

Police evacuated a mother and her 3-year-old son from the settlement of Vesele in Nova Kakhovka City Community. The settlement has been under constant russian attacks. The woman and her son were taken to Kryvyi Rih and will later travel to Kyiv to be with their relatives after receiving necessary assistance.

The international organization Save the Children delivered equipment for restoring water supply to Kochubeivka community. The equipment includes borehole pumps, “Cascade” control stations, motor pumps, water meters, pressure regulators, and other items. The received equipment will be used to replace the old water supply network equipment that became inoperative during the floods.

The Geriatric Center in Kherson received an ambulance from the charitable foundation “Bank of Good.” The medical institution takes care of elderly people, most of whom have limited mobility and suffer from severe chronic diseases.

Volyn oblast

Lutsk City Council held a meeting with a delegation of members of the Seimas of Lithuania headed by Valdemaras Sarapinas, Vice-Speaker Paulius Saudargas and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to Ukraine. They discussed cooperation and support of Ukraine.

The RMA held a meeting of the regional coordination council on issues of gender policy, combating human trafficking and prevention of domestic violence. Implementation of the Implementation of the National Mechanism of Interaction of Subjects that Carry Out Measures in the Field of Combating Human Trafficking in Volyn oblast project was discussed.

The RMA held a coordination meeting with representatives of international organizations. Support for IDPs was discussed.

Lutsk city council reported that the community will send the ZIL-MMZ cargo dump truck to Kherson oblast.

Zakarpattia oblast

Volodymyr Chubirko, Head of Zakarpattia Regional Council, announced that the management of the international airport Uzhhorod was transferred to Zakarpattia oblast.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The RMA reported that as part of the Side by Side Presidential project, a team of ten specialists from Kolomyia region went to Kherson oblast to actively rebuild victims of russian shelling and the destruction of Kakhovka HPP.

Ruslan Martsinkiv, Head of Ivano-Frankivsk, personally handed over a medal from Oleksii Reznikov, Minister of Defense of Ukraine, to Hero Viktor Murza. The soldier received a shrapnel wound as a result of the fighting in Zaporozhzhia, courageously defending Ukraine.

Lviv oblast

Lviv city council reported that in 2023, the community transferred UAH 210 mln to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Another part of the funds is undergoing the financing procedure or at the procurement stage.

In the village of Batiatych, a memorial plaque was opened in honor of Volodymyr Ivakh. The soldier defended Ukraine and was killed on November 26, 2022 near Bakhmut.

Rivne oblast

In the villages of Piatihory and Oleksandrivka, charity fairs were organized in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Collected over UAH 46K and almost UAH 27K will be donated to the needs of the military.

The HOPE exhibition was opened in Rivne with the participation of 17 photographers from 11 countries. 8 Ukrainian photographers show with their photos consequences of the aggression of the “russian peace” in Ukraine, and the photos of photographers from Greece, Spain, Italy, Korea, China, Luxembourg, Poland, the USA, France, and Croatia depict a peaceful life.

The Hope Far From Home mural appeared at the railway station in Rivne. It is dedicated to people who had to leave their homes and seek shelter because of the war. Rivne artists Kostiantyn Kachanovskyi and Mykola Patii created a mural during the week.

Ternopil oblast

Mykhailo Dyrbavka, participant of the artistic plein air, reported that in Zalishchyki, 11 artists from different cities of Ukraine painted pictures for 9 days. In total, almost 50 works were created. Some of them will be left in Ternopil military hospital.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Oleksandr Simchyshyn, Mayor of Khmelnytskyi, announced that over the past 2 weeks, 26 different quadcopters worth from UAH 110K to UAH 440K per unit were sent to the military from the city.

Chernivtsi oblast

The RMA reported that during the year, health care institutions of the oblast received medical equipment in the amount of UAH 37 mln and medicines in the amount of UAH 482 mln thanks to the funds of the state budget and the World Bank. 281 units of medical equipment were purchased with the provided funds. 8 oxygen stations are installed. 8 departments/blocks of hospitals were reconstructed.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

The US announced a new package of military aid to Ukraine in the amount of $400 mln, includes: ammunition for NASAMS and HIMARS; 32 Stryker armored personnel carriers; anti-aircraft complexes Stinger; 155 mm and 105 mm caliber artillery shells; 120 mm and 60 mm caliber mortars; Javelin and other anti-tank systems and missiles; unmanned aerial systems Hornet; Hydra-70 aviation missiles; explosive munitions for overcoming obstacles; over 28 million cartridges for small arms and grenades; night vision devices and thermal imaging systems; spare parts, training ammunition and other field equipment.

Yuliia Svyridenko, First Vice Prime Minister – Minister of Economy, reported that the US, the European Union, Japan, Germany, Great Britain, Norway, Sweden, Italy, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Denmark, Canada, Austria, Switzerland and Korea will allocate $244 mln and special equipment for humanitarian demining to Ukraine.

The German military concern Rheinmetall reported that the country by the end of the year will send advanced Skynex anti-aircraft systems to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Gabrielus Landsbergis, Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, stated that Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia offered five of their ports to export grain from Ukraine.

The IOC officially invited 203 countries to the Olympics in Paris, excluding russia and belarus from the list.

The UN denied russia’s claims that the strike on the colony in Olenivka was carried out with a HIMARS missile. Volker Turk, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, emphasized that prisoners of war who were injured or were killed in Olenivka and their family members deserve the truth to be revealed and the guilty to be punished.

The Ukrainian maritime drone MAGURA V5 was presented at the international exhibition in Turkey. Developers note that the drone can be launched from anywhere, it can be used for surveillance, reconnaissance, patrolling, search and rescue, mine countermeasures, naval protection, and combat missions. Its range is approximately 833 km, the payload is 320 kg.
