What happened in Ukraine today:

During the day of February 26, there were 79x combat engagements.

The enemy launched a total of 1x missile and 58x air strikes, carried out 70x MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Unfortunately, russian terrorist attacks resulted in killed and wounded civilians. Residential private and apartment buildings, as well as other infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

Volyn and Polissya axes: no significant changes. No signs of formation of an offensive group. Certain units of the armed forces of belarus continue their missions in the areas bordering Ukraine.

Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna axes: the adversary maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. The enemy continues its sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shelling Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. The adversary launched air strikes in the vicinities of Nova Sich (Sumy oblast) and Velykyi Burluk (Kharkiv oblast). More than 20x settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Klyusy, Bleshnya, Hrem’yach (Chernihiv oblast), Znob-Novhorods’ke, Seredyna-Buda, Mykyts’ke, Shalyhyne, Pavlivka, Khotin’, Popivka (Sumy oblast), Hur’iv Kozachok, Veterynarne, Vovchans’k, Budarky, Chuhunivka, Stroivka (Kharkiv oblast).

Kup’yans’k axis: the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 2x attacks near Ivanivka, Tabaivka and another 14 attacks in the vicinity of Syn’kivka (Kharkiv oblast), where the occupiers, with air support, made attempts to dislodge Ukrainian troops from their positions. The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 10x settlements, including Dvorichna, Syn’kivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, Berestove (Kharkiv oblast).

Lyman axis: the Ukrainian defenders repelled 5x assaults near Terny (Donetsk oblast), where the adversary, with air support, made attempts to breach Ukrainian defense. The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 10x settlements, including Nevs’ke, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Terny, Tors’ke, Serebryanka, Verkhn’okam’yans’ke, Spirne and Rozdolivka (Donetsk oblast).

Bakhmut axis: the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 5x attacks in the vicinities of Ivanivske, Klishchiivka (Donetsk oblast), where the occupiers made attempts to improve their tactical situation. The invaders launched air strikes near Chasiv Yar, Predtechyne, New York (Donetsk oblast). More than10x settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Vasyukivka, Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Andriivka, New York (Donetsk oblast).

Avdiivka axis: the Ukrainian defenders repelled 15x attacks in the vicinities of Berdychi, Orlivka, Sjeverne, Pervomais’ke, Nevel’s’ke (Donetsk oblast). The adversary launched air strikes near Ocheretyne, Novoselivka, Persha Semenivka, Pervomais’ke (Donetsk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 15x settlements, including Ocheretyne, Vovche, Berdychi, Stepove, Orlivka (Donetsk oblast).

Mar’inka axis: the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back the invaders in the vicinity of Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast). In that area, the invaders made 15x attempts to breach Ukrainian defense. On top of that, Ukrainian defenders repelled 8x attacks in the vicinities of Heorhiivka, Pobjeda and Krasnohorivka (Donetsk oblast). The adversary launched air strikes near Novomykhailivka, Kostyantynivka (Donetsk oblast). The settlements of Krasnohorivka, Maksymil’yanivka, Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka, Kostyantynivka were under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.

Novopavlivka axis: the adversary conducted no offensives. The invaders launched air strikes in the vicinities of Urozhaine and Staromaiors’ke (Donetsk oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at around 10x settlements, including Prechystivka, Blahodatne, Staromaiors’ke, Rivnopil’ (Donetsk oblast).

Zaporizhzhia axis: the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 5x attacks in the vicinity of Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia oblast). The enemy launched air strikes in the vicinities of Novoselivka, Lyubymivka (Zaporizhzhia oblast). Around 15x settlements, including Levadne, Poltavka, Hulyaipole, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, Stepove (Zaporizhzhia oblast), were under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.

Odesa operational-strategic group, Kherson axis: the occupiers do not abandon their intention to drive Ukrainian units out of their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro. During the day, the enemy made 4x attempts to assault positions of Ukrainian troops. Around 15x settlements, including the city of Kherson, Zolota Balka, Ivanivka, Sadove, Bilozerka, Tomyna Balka, Stanislav (Kherson oblast), and Ochakiv (Mykolaiv oblast) came under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.

During the day of February 26, the Ukrainian Air Force launched air strikes on 9x concentrations of enemy troops.

The Ukrainian missile troops hit 2x concentrations of troops, weapons and military equipment, 1x command post, 1x UAV ground control station of the russian invaders.

Last year, the SBU exposed 47 enemy agent networks, the largest of which operated in Mykolaiv oblast. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the SBU has notified more than 2,000 traitors and almost 5,000 collaborators, russian accomplices and gunners of suspicion. Work continues to clear the church environment of russian influence. To date, courts have reached 22 guilty verdicts against clergy.

Yevhen Kudriavets, First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, stated that every 7th school in Ukraine is currently damaged as a result of the russian invasion.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian troops repelled 78 russian attacks in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts. The russian army attacked most of all towards Marinka, targeting Novomykhailivka, Heorhiivka, Pobieda and Krasnohorivka. Fighting also continues near Sieverne, Stepove, Berdychi and Lastochkyne towards Avdiivka.

Kharkiv oblast

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the RMA, said last night, mobile firing groups of Kharkiv oblast destroyed three enemy UAVs that had targets in Chuhuiv district.

Bolvinov, Head of Kharkiv Police Investigation Department, informed that  around 11 pm, the invaders launched two missile strikes from S-300 air defence systems at Pisochyn. As a result, russians destroyed a hangar with corn and damaged two more hangars with grain. The enterprise’s equipment was damaged, including tractors and trucks.  Another hit in Pesochin was on the territory of the enterprise where trucks were being repaired. Investigators recovered fragments of S-300 at the impact sites.

More than 15 settlements in Kharkiv oblast were under enemy artillery and mortar attack: Kozacha Lopan, Strilecha, Hatyshche, Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka and others.

At around 2:20 am, two enemy Shahed UAVs hit the territory of a non-operational recreation centre in Skrypai village, Chuhuiv region. As a result, 3 one-storey houses on the territory of the recreation centre were damaged. There was no information on casualties.

At 2:15 am, there was a shelling of Velykyi Burluk village, Kupiansk region, with aerial bombs. A private residential building and a car were damaged, there were no casualties.

At 9.50 pm, Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi village, Kupyansk region, was under hostile attack. A private house was damaged. There were no casualties.

At 3 pm, the enemy shelled Vovchansk. A hangar and outbuildings were damaged. There was no information about casualties.

At 2:45 pm, the enemy attacked Losivka village, Chuhuiv region. A private house and an outbuilding were damaged as a result of hostile shelling.

At 2:33 m, Kurylivka village, Kupiansk region, was under missile attack. A private house was on fire. There was no information about the victims.

Around 4 pm, two men, 32 and 19 years old, died as a result of a mine explosion near Velyki Prokhody, Kharkiv region. Both were residents of Slatyne village.

Ukrainian defenders repelled 5 enemy attacks near Synkivka and Tabaivka over the day.

Combined teams of bomb experts cleared 3.97 hectares of territory and destroyed 200 explosive ordnance. Mine clearance is ongoing.

Demenko, Director of the City Department of Education, said that only 5% of schoolchildren in Kharkiv attend offline classes. According to her, more than a thousand more students will be able to attend offline classes when the construction of an underground school is completed in Industrialnyi district.

Donetsk oblast

Lykhovii, Spokesman of Tavriia operational-strategic group, reported that units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine withdrew from Lastochkyne village towards Avdiivka to organise defence along the line of Orlivka, Tonenke, Berdychi and prevent further advance of the enemy in the western direction.

The press service of Donetsk police confirmed that the enemy attacked civilians 21 times and the contact line 1556 times. 13 settlements were under attack: Zalizne, Krasnohorivka, Kurakhove, Kostiantynivka, Selydove, Chasiv Yar cities, Hostre settlement, Zakitne, Maksymilianivka, Nykyforivka, Novopokrovske, Novoselivka Persha, Predtechyne villages. The invaders used KAB-500 and KAB-250 bombs, a Grom-E1 hybrid missile, S-300 air defence systems and artillery against civilians. 90 civilian objects were damaged, including 30 residential buildings, a railway station, churches, a post office, a cafe, a pharmacy, medical facilities, educational institutions, administrative buildings, shops, trade pavilions, etc.  Four more people were injured in Zakitne, Kurakhove, Maksymilianivka and Chasiv Yar as a result of hostile shelling. Another 247 people, including 94 children, were evacuated.

According to the RMA, towards Pokrovsk, russians shelled Kurakhove community 6 times: a person was injured and 2 private houses damaged in Kurakhove, an apartment building damaged in Hostre. Ocheretyne and the outskirts of the Maryinka community were under attack.

Towards Kramatorsk, a person was injured in Zakitne of Lyman community and a house damaged in Zarichne. Another person was injured in Kostiantynivka. Also russia attacked Kostiantynivka 8 times, with a guided aerial bomb and 7 missiles. A woman was injured. The city’s infrastructure suffered large-scale destruction, including 23 damaged residential buildings.

Towards Bakhmut, a 2-storey building was damaged in Zalizne of Toretsk community, 6 private houses and an industrial building damaged in Chasiv Yar community. Rozdolivka and Vasiukivka of Soledar community and Pereizne and Verkhnekamianske of Zvanivka community were shelled.

The invaders hit Selydove with a Grom-E1 missile and destroyed a cafe. There was no information about casualties.

In total, russians shelled settlements in Donetsk oblast 21 times over the day. 247 people, including 94 children, were evacuated from the frontline.

Donetsk police said that the previous day, at around midnight, the russian military dropped a KAB-250 guided missile on Kostiantynivka railway station, destroying the building. Two hours later, the russian army fired four more S-300 missiles at the city.

Kostiantynivka City Military Administration said that almost 50 apartment buildings, 4 private residential buildings, the railway station, schools, pharmacies and medical facilities were destroyed and damaged as a result of the massive shelling of Kostiantynivka by russian troops on the night of 25 February.

All children have been evacuated from Marinka and Ocheretyne communities and 73 children from 9 frontline settlements are now safe.

Towards Bakhmut, the russian military shot Ukrainian soldiers who were surrendering. According to Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets, it probably happened on 24 February this year. The Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported that law enforcers have launched an investigation over violations of the laws and customs of war combined with intentional murder after a video was posted on a Telegram channel showing russian soldiers shooting seven Ukrainian servicemen during an assault on Ukrainian positions between Ivanivske and Khromove villages.

Filashkin, Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, stated that water supply will be temporarily cut in Kramatorsk, Sloviansk, Druzhkivka and Kostiantynivka due to water pipes damaged by shelling. According to preliminary calculations, the repairs of the water supply system will take about a week.

Ihor Klymenko, Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, reported that since the beginning of the war, police powers have increased by 80%. The National Police of Ukraine currently has 100,000 employees.

Power engineers have restored 7,000 kilometres of power lines over the two years of full-scale war. During this time, specialists have repaired 2,500 facilities damaged by the hostilities. Most often, overhead power lines are destroyed. They suffer from direct hits and falling shell and drone fragments. Some of them have had to be restored dozens of times. The “record-breaking” line in one of the hottest areas of the energy sector has been repaired almost 100 times.

Luhansk oblast

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, russians stormed Bilohorivka with the support of mortars and artillery on 25 February. These attacks were repelled by the Defence Forces.

44 food and hygiene kits were donated by the Red Cross Society and distributed to residents of Nevske and Novoliubivka. Employees of the Krasnorichensk Military Administration made home deliveries to everyone.

Starobilsk Primary Healthcare Centre received eight powerful generators. The Younes Bros. diesel generators received from Ukrvaktsyna SOE of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine will ensure the continuous provision of quality medical services to patients in case of interruptions in the operation of centralised power supplies. In July 2022, Starobilsk Primary Healthcare Centre resumed operations in the city of Rivne.

Many residents of Rubizhne were forced to spend the winter in other settlements to stay warm due to the lack of utilities. When they return, they notice the presence of touring builders in their apartment buildings. If the apartment is still empty, the occupation administration demands compensation for the installed windows and doors, without giving the residents the keys to the house.

Former employees of Sievierodonetsk Azot, who remained in the city, cannot confirm the preferential experience they earned in jobs with hazardous and difficult working conditions when applying for russian pensions.

According to the occupation administration, there are no such documents in the occupied city. The ruins of the chemical plant have relevant announcements on them. Now people rely only on the minimum age pension.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

The Bulgarian government delegation led by Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov arrived in the capital. At the meeting with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, they agreed to intensify the development of logistics and infrastructure. The Prime Ministers of Ukraine and Bulgaria, Denys Shmyhal and Nikolai Denkov, commemorated the fallen defenders of Ukraine in Mykhailivska Square in Kyiv.

Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of Kyiv RMA, said that at the moment, 50 positive decisions regarding compensation for the reconstruction of private housing have been made in Kyiv oblast as part of the eRestoration. More than 370 applications have already been submitted by the owners of destroyed housing for the reconstruction of houses on their own plots.

The construction of a shelter on the territory of Ivankiv Lyceum in Boryspil region is underway. The new shelter with a total area of 1030 m² is designed for the simultaneous stay of 305 people. The arrangement of the dual-purpose shelter is made at the expense of the Fund for the Liquidation of the Consequences of Armed Aggression.

In Darnytskyi district, units of Kyiv Defense Forces began military exercises. The district administration informed that the training will continue for the next three days. During the training, practical actions will take place with the involvement of personnel, regular military equipment and weapons.

On February 25, another one-day course on tactical medicine from Ukrainian Women’s Guard NGO was held in Kyiv. The training was conducted by Mariia Horobets, an experienced instructor in tactical medicine and pre-medical training for military and civilians. The woman put the acquired knowledge and skills into practice.

In the oblast, more than 2,000 medical workers are trained to manage the most common mental disorders at the stage of primary medical care. These are family doctors, pediatricians, therapists and nurses from 52 primary health care centers who have received training from WHO.

The exhibition “10 years of aggression – 10 years of resistance” opened in Kyiv near the General Post Office, created on the basis of the materials of the Virtual Museum of russian aggression. The exhibition contains 15 thematic banners revealing various aspects of the russian-Ukrainian war: crimes, destruction, environmental disasters, public resistance, sea and air aggression, lost property, crimes against the media, international consolidation.

Zhytomyr oblast

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Minister of Defense awarded the soldiers of the 95th Separate Polissia Airborne Assault Brigade for their courage and heroism in the battles in Avdiivka, Lyman, Bakhmut and other areas. The soldiers were presented with state and departmental awards, awards of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

Unbreakable photo exhibition was opened in Berdychiv History Museum. Its author is Oleksandr Didovets, a photographer, a member of the National Union of Photographic Artists of Ukraine, a soldier of the 26th Artillery Brigade named after Colonel-General Roman Dashkevich. The photo exhibition presents the photographer’s view of the life and everyday life of Ukrainian military personnel who are on the front lines.

Sumy oblast

At night, the russian military launched an airstrike on Yunakivka community, as a result of which two people were killed – a married couple who were at home. As reported in Sumy RMA, russian terrorists used controlled aerial bombs and 4 explosions were recorded. As a result of the strikes, one private residential building was destroyed and 5 more damaged.

In total, during the night and morning, russians carried out 8 shellings of 5 border communities, including Khotyn, Yunakivka, Velyka Pysarivka. 79 explosions were recorded as the enemy used mortars, artillery, MLRS, controlled aerial bombs.

Yesterday russians carried out 32 attacks, a total of 182 strikes from mortars, artillery, AGS and FPV drones were recorded. Khotyn, Yunakivka, Myropillia, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Shalyhine communities suffered shelling.

The Ministry of Energy reported that as a result of artillery shelling in Sumy oblast, more than 1.5 thousand consumers in 8 settlements were cut off.

A teenager was injured as a result of a grenade explosion in Shostka region. As reported by the regional police, children found a grenade near one of the villages while playing and threw it into a bonfire. The boy was hospitalized. Explosives experts examined the area and found another similar projectile, a 40 mm caliber grenade for an underbarrel grenade launcher. The explosive object was destroyed.

The State Emergency Service of Sumy oblast reported that over the past week, pyrotechnics destroyed 18 munitions. Explosive objects were discovered in the territories of Sumy, Okhtyrka, Konotop and Shostka regions. In total, 110 explosive objects were discovered and destroyed since the beginning of the year.

Chernihiv oblast

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv regional military administration, reported that over the past week, the enemy fired 53 times on 20 border settlements of the oblast. During this period, 310 explosions were recorded. As a result of the russian strikes, there is damage to civilian transport and power supply networks. There was no information about the victims.

Chernihiv border detachment reported that russian troops carried out 7 shelling of 3 border communities on February 25. The enemy attacked 9 times from barrel artillery Semenivka community, 23 times from mortar and barrel artillery Snovsk and 4 mortar times Novhorod-Siverskyi.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

As a result of the attack on Dnipro, two men, aged 41 and 49 and two women, aged 20 and 60 were injured. They were provided with all necessary medical assistance. 10 private houses, 3 cars and a truck were damaged. Production buildings at an enterprise were damaged and windows in 3 high-rise buildings broken. The enemy targeted Nikopol region too. Pokrovsk and Myrove communities were shelled. 4 trucks caught on fire in Nikopol and 2 of them were destroyed, 6 vehicles damaged and the walls and windows hit.

A 70-year-old man was injured during the morning attack on Myrove community, Nikopol region. His injuries are not critical, he will be treated at home. 6 houses, a car and 2 gas pipelines were damaged. During the day the enemy launched 6 kamikaze drones and shelled the oblast with artillery. Nikopol and Marhanets community were hit. A utility facility, an infrastructure facility, a multi-storey building, 4 residential buildings, an outbuilding and a power line were damaged.

Vinnytsia oblast

A shelter equipped with everything necessary for women and newborns was set up in Maternity Hospital No. 1. The shelter is designed for 9 beds, with additional chairs and armchairs for sitting. There are separate cots, bedding and blankets for children. The shelter also has a special chair for childbirth which is located in a separate room, separated from the shelter’s common room. In case of an emergency, the delivery is performed there. The shelter also has a ventilator, connected oxygen, all tools, materials and a supply of drinking water.

Kirovohrad oblast

According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the air raid in Kropyvnytskyi region explosions were heard. The Air Defence systems were operating.

Poltava oblast

Filip Pronin, Head of the RMA reported that during the air raid in Poltava, explosions were heard.There were no hits in the oblast.

Cherkasy oblast

A new batch of 100 FPV drones has been delivered to the frontline. This is consistently one of the most frequent requests from the military. The equipment was purchased at the expense of the regional program to support the Territorial Defence.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Today, russian forces shelled the village of Prymorske in Vasylivka region with artillery. Two men were injured. Information about damages is currently being clarified.

On February 25, the russian military attacked 11 settlements in Zaporizhia oblast. One person was killed and three others injured. 151 artillery strikes hit the territories of Orikhiv, Novodanylivka, Malynivka, Mala Tokmachka, Plavni, Stepnohirsk, and other frontline cities and villages. The invaders launched a missile strike on Malyshivka and 8 MLRS strikes on Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka and Robotyne, 42 UAV attacks on Huliaipole, Malynivka, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, and Robotyne, and hit Orikhiv, Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, Novodanylivka, and Malynivka with 11 air-to-surface missiles. There have been 11 reports of residential buildings and infrastructure being destroyed.

The General Staff reported that Defense forces repelled 6 enemy attacks in near Robotyne and one attack near Huliaipilske in Zaporizhia oblast.

Towards Zaporizhia, the enemy tries to move personnel in small infantry groups, not only on armored vehicles but also on fast quad bikes during offensive actions. Over the past week, our soldiers have destroyed a total of 10 enemy quad bikes.

Ihor Klymenko, Minister of Internal Affairs, reported that four fighters from Spartan 3rd Special Purpose Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine stopped the assault column near Robotyne. According to him, the fighters engaged in battle against three russian armored personnel carriers with infantry on board. Despite injuries, the servicemen of Spartan brigade did not retreat and stopped the russian assault column.

Mykolaiv oblast

According to Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, russian forces shelled Ochakiv and Stepove communities with mortars on 25 February. The enemy also launched a missile strike on an open area outside the settlement in Stepove community. There were no reported casualties or injuries.

Kurhan ta Ahrehat band gave a charity concert in Mykolaiv on February 25. At the end of the concert, the band reported that they had successfully raised UAH 281K. All funds raised from tickets and auctions conducted by the musicians during the concert will be donated to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Chief Intelligence Directorate. 

Odesa oblast

The City Council reported that sixth charity fair to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine took place in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, organized by the municipal Children’s Creativity Center. The fair raised UAH 30,628, which will be used to buy paraffin for trench candles, lighters, gel biofuel and other necessities for the defenders.

The daily grain unloading in the ports of Odesa ranged from 1000 to 1540 wagons per day in February. The average daily unloading rate in the ports currently stands at 1410 wagons per day. Also, the number of wagons with grain heading to the ports of Odesa increased by 133 units, reaching 7273 wagons.

According to the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources, damages to the environment in Odesa oblast over two years of full-scale russian invasion amounted to USD 1,136 million. The exact calculations are uncertain, as Ukrainian State Environmental Inspection experts lack access to the occupied territories, making it impossible to assess all environmental losses. According to their data, the total environmental damage to Ukraine over two years is nearly USD 63 billion.

Kherson oblast

Two civilians were killed and one person sustained injuries due to russian shelling in Kherson oblast. The russian occupation army shelled Kherson, Antonivka, Bilozerka, Stanislav, Tomyna Balka, Sadove, Tiahynka, Odradokamianka, Lvove, Osokorivka, and Zmiiivka. The enemy used MLRS, tanks, artillery and mortars for these attacks. Residential buildings suffered significant damage and there were casualties among the civilian population. 14 objects were damaged, including 9 private, 3 multi-story buildings, a gas pipeline and a car. A 44-year-old man and a 62-year-old woman were killed in their own yard due to tank shelling of Tiahynka. 

A 38-year-old man tripped over an unknown explosive device in a windbreak near Tryfonivka. The man survived but suffered wounds to his face, neck, arms and legs.

A resident of Bilozerka was injured due to russian shelling. The man was hit by enemy attack over the weekend. He was diagnosed with explosive trauma and shrapnel wounds to his leg. Medical professionals assess his condition as of moderate severity.

The southern defense forces continue systematic counter-battery actions. The occupiers intensify aerial reconnaissance, exert pressure with artillery shelling and use a large number of attack drones of various types.

The enemy does not abandon the intention to dislodge our units from the occupied positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River despite constant combat losses. The enemy attempted 4 unsuccessful assaults and, after having suffered losses, retreated to their original positions.

Defense forces continue to inflict damage on the enemy’s locations, firing positions and rear areas. The enemy lost 49 occupiers, 2 guns, 1 mortar, 1 military vehicle and 1 generator on the left bank yesterday. An enemy observation point was destroyed.

IThe press service of the “South” Operational Command informed that the russian forces increased the activity of reconnaissance drones in Kherson oblast. The russian army is trying to compensate for the gathering of information due to the A-50 airborne reconnaissance center liquidation. More than 100 reconnaissance drones were recorded both on the front lines and deep into the territories on February 25.

Volunteers have evacuated another 12 residents of Beryslav community. Elderly people, who lived in Beryslav and Tomaryne, will now find shelter in safer regions. Strong and Free volunteer organisation and East SOS charitable organisation, along with police officers, are helping people move to safer places.

Kherson RMA reported that a thousand houses damaged by russians have already been repaired as part of Shoulder to Shoulder project. Construction work continues on 112 building sites.

Residents of Beryslav received 50 cubic meters of firewood. Fuel materials are expected to be sufficient until spring. The aid will be distributed shortly and delivered according to the schedule to those in need.

Kherson hospital received equipment for the care of prematurely born babies. Volunteers from Stryboh all-Ukrainian charitable handed over an incubator for newborns with financial support from ErmsralHilft. In total, this year, the foundation’s volunteers have provided assistance worth about UAH 500K.

Lutsk City Council sent Mavic 3T and Mavic 3 Pro to the 42th separate mechanized brigades.

Representatives of Lutsk City Council visited and handed over aid to the military towards Kupiansk. The 95th separate mechanized brigade received 2 Mavic 3T and Mavic 3.

Zakarpattia oblast

Danylo Bohuslavskyi, three-time champion of Ukraine in American football as a member of the Uzhhorod Lumberjacks club, served in the 128th brigade as an assistant rifleman to a grenade launcher of a rifle platoon. He was killed on October 16, 2022, on the battlefield, during the liberation of Kherson oblast. By decision of the session of Uzhhorod City Council, Danylo Bohuslavskyi was posthumously awarded with Honorary Citizen of Uzhhorod title. In memory of the fallen defender, relatives and friends initiated the tournament, the event was held with the support of benefactors, specifically, the Department of Culture, Youth and Sports of Uzhhorod City Council.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Ivano-Frankivsk City Council reported about 20 FPV drones sent to the defenders of the 33th separate mechanized brigades.

Lviv oblast

Bridge of Cultures conference was held in Lviv oblast. The event was devoted to the discussion of cultural cooperation and humanitarian aid between Poland and Ukraine.

Oleksandr Kubrakov, Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction and Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine, reported that the construction of Mostysk-Sknyliv section of the Eurotrack from the state border with Poland to Lviv will start this year.

Memorial plaques in honor of two fallen compatriots Volodymyr Ivanyk and Mykola Masin in the village of Volodymyrtsy of Zhuravne community were opened on the facade of Volodymyrstsivka school. Mykola Masin was killed on March 4, 2023 in a battle near the village of Bilohorivka in Donetsk oblast. Sergeant Volodymyr Ivanyk was killed on December 3, 2023 while performing a combat mission near the village of Khromov, Bakhmut region, Donetsk oblast.

The unveiling of the memorial plaque to the fallen soldier Vasyl Kulchytskyi took place at Lozyn school. Vasyl’s sons, Ruslan and Maksym Kulchytskyi, opened the memorial plaque.

Memorial plaques were attached to the facades of schools in the villages of Stankiv and Dolishne, Stryi region. Names of former graduates, who were killed at the front, were immortalized here. A 24-year-old Ihor Davydiak was killed during the evacuation of wounded comrades near Kramatorsk. A 54-year old Ivan Podilniak was killed on December 5, 2023 while performing a combat mission near the village of Mali Shcherbaki, Zaporizhzhia oblast.

In Lviv, the alphabet for young Ukrainians abroad My Friendo was presented. It is designed to help young Ukrainians abroad to learn the Ukrainian language more deeply and to build a reliable bridge that will connect them with Ukraine.

Rivne oblast

Police cynologists from Rivne oblast continue to clear mines in Kherson oblast. Vitalii Poltavchenko, Junior Inspector of the police in Rivne oblast, is clearing the territory of Kherson oblast together with the bomb squads. Akhil, the policeman’s four-legged partner, helps in this.

The RMA reported that over the past six months, 105 new shelters have appeared in Rivne oblast, now there are 2 205 such facilities in the oblast. The number of suitable underground spaces is also increasing. Local self-government bodies are bringing more and more protective structures to proper condition. Thus, according to the results of the last inspection, it was established that 84% of the shelters are suitable.

Ternopil oblast

Two servicemen from Ternopil oblast returned home from captivity, Volodymyr Bodnar and Ihor Zamoroz are residents of Zboriv community. They were captured in June 2022. Volodymyr was released during the exchange of prisoners on January 31, and Ihor – on February 8. In Ternopil, they were met by family and friends. They waited for their heroes from captivity for about 1 year and 9 months.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

In the support department for war veterans and their family members, created at Khmelnytskyi RMA, an event was held in connection with the second anniversary of the full-scale invasion of the russian federation into Ukraine. RMA representatives met with war veterans, mothers and wives of fallen Heroes.

Chernivtsi oblast

The RMA held a meeting with representatives of the UN cluster on housing and non-food products. According to the results of the meeting, parties agreed that this year, specifically, they will work on arranging temporary residences for forcibly displaced people, providing IDPs with financial assistance for housing rent and long-term solutions to meet their housing needs.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Nikolay Denkov, Prime Minister of Bulgaria, together with the delegation came to Kyiv by train. The delegation also includes Atanas Slavov, Yulian Popov and Rumen Radev, Ministers of Justice, Environment and Energy, Stanimir Georgiev and Tikhomir Stoychev, Deputy Ministers of Defense and Foreign Affairs, and Admiral Emil Yeftimov, Head of the Ministry of Defense. Canada expands and strengthens sanctions against the russian federation until the anniversary of the invasion of Ukraine. Canada’s new sanctions apply to 10 individuals and 153 legal entities.

Australia introduced additional sanctions against russia, namely targeted financial sanctions and a travel ban against 55 people, as well as targeted financial sanctions against 37 organizations. As noted in the Australian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the new sanctions apply to those involved in the deportation of Ukrainian children from temporarily occupied regions.

The EU adopted the 13th package of individual and economic sanctions against the russian federation.

Britain announced new sanctions against russia. The restrictions hit key russian importers and manufacturers of machine tools that play an important role in the production of vital defense systems and components, from missiles and engines to tanks and fighter jets.

The US announced more than 500 sanctions against the russian federation because of the war and the death of Navalny. Sanctions will target individuals associated with Navalny’s imprisonment, as well as russia’s financial sector, defense industrial base, procurement networks, and sanctions evaders on multiple continents.

Latvia demands to ban the export of russian grain to the EU and replace it with Ukrainian grain. Armands Krause, Latvian Agriculture Minister, stated that everything that is imported from russia can be imported from Ukraine and in this way, support Ukraine and not help russia feed its war machine.

A photo exhibition dedicated to the 2nd anniversary of the full-scale invasion of russia into Ukraine was opened in the Diet of Latvia. The exhibition consists of the works of two Ukrainian photographers Yan Dobronosov and Max Levin, who were killed by the occupiers.

Latvian athletes will run 100 km without food or clothes to encourage people to donate to drones for Ukraine. The man plans to run 100 km from the village of Ragatsiems to the village of Kolka without food and clothes, after which he plans to swim in the Baltic Sea.
