It has been the 866 th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

Breaking news

Around 10am, the enemy launched a combined missile attack on Ukraine using air-, sea-, and land-based missiles.

As a result of the massive attack on Kyiv, 27 people were killed and another 82 injured.

Three children were among the dead in the capital – they were in a high-rise building in the Shevchenkivskyi district, in which the entire entrance was destroyed. There, as well as at other places of impact, in particular at the Okhmatdyt children’s hospital, the analysis of debris is still ongoing.

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has continued to increase the pace of offensive actions. It is actively using aviation for attacks. The number of combat engagements along the entire frontline has increased to 85. The russian invaders are concentrating their main efforts towards Pokrovsk, where more than a third of all combat actions took place. Ukrainian defenders are holding back the onslaught of the occupation forces and inflicting significant losses on the enemy.

The border of Sumy and Chernihiv oblasts continues to suffer from artillery shelling from the territory of the russian federation. Thus, Katerynivka, Popivka, Shpyl, Vilne, Vorozhba, Zarichchia, Riasne and Tymonovychi were under enemy attack.

From the direction of Belgorod (russia), terrorists hit Vovchansky Khutory with a guided aerial bomb. At the same time, our troops have repelled five enemy attacks in the areas of Hlyboke, Vovchansk, Tykhe and Starytsia.

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy unsuccessfully stormed the positions of our units near Stelmakhivka twice. Another battle continues near Berestove. The situation is under control.

Towards Lyman, the invading army made 10 attacks on Ukrainian positions near Hrekivka, Nevske, Makiivka and Terny during the day. Seven battle engagements ended without success for the enemy, two more are ongoing.

Towards Siversk, the enemy continues to look for weaknesses in our defence. They conducted five attacks near Verkhnokamianske and Spirne. He received a fierce response. The enemy losses are being clarified.

Towards Kramatorsk, the invaders launched eight unsuccessful assaults near Chasiv Yar, Bohdanivka, Hryhorivka, Bila Hora and Andriivka.

Towards Toretsk, the number of hostile attacks increased to 13. Ukraine’s troops stopped 12 of them, and another battle near Niu-York is ongoing. The aggressor’s aviation is actively working, specifically, Toretsk was bombed, and terrorists attacked Katerynivka with another KAB. The enemy fired at our positions near Niu-York with 16 unguided aerial missiles.

Towards Pokrovsk, there was the largest number of combat engagements.  Since the beginning of the day, the occupants have made 30 attempts to push our defenders from their positions near Vozdvyzhenka, Novooleksandrivka, Tymofiivka, Kalynivka, Yevhenivka, Yasnobrodivka and Umanske. The defence forces are holding back the attack and repelled 17 enemy attacks, 13 battles are still ongoing. The enemy is most active near Novooleksandrivka and Novoselivka Persha. The latter, along with Oleksandropil, were attacked by NARs from attack aircraft. Also russian terrorists struck near Hrodivka, Vodiane Druhe and Myroliubivka with KAB bombs.

Towards Kurakhove, four battles near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Kostiantynivka and Paraskoviivka ended.

Towards Vremivka, fighting continues near Vodiane and Kostiantynivka. The defence forces are taking measures to prevent the occupants from advancing deeper into our territory. Also russian terrorists used almost two dozen guided aerial bombs in the area. They also fired from multiple rocket launchers, specifically, near Velyka Novosilka.  

Towards Orikhiv, an enemy attack near Mala Tokmachka was repelled.

Towards Prydniprovskyi, the invaders continue to try to drive the Defence Forces units from their positions at the bridgeheads. Three russian attacks were unsuccessful. Olhivka and Shevchenkivka were targeted by KABs.

The invaders struck at Kyiv and the oblast, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, and Donetsk oblast. In the capital, the invaders hit the Okhmatdyt children’s hospital, killing two people. Police, rescuers, National Guard, doctors and passers-by are clearing the rubble. An apartment building in Solomianskyi district was partially destroyed. Debris also damaged a car and the facade of a building in Holosiivskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts. There is also damage from debris in Dniprovskyi, Darnytskyi, Desnianskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts. An apartment building was damaged in Dnipropetrovsk oblast. Another 20 private houses were damaged.

36 people were killed and 140 injured as a result of today’s missile attacks on the territory of Ukraine. Kyiv and the oblast: 22 killed, 76 injured. Dnipropetrovsk oblast: 11 killed, 64 injured. Donetsk oblast: 3 killed, 97 objects damaged. Police and other specialised services continue to work at the sites of russian shelling. Search and rescue operations and rubble removal are ongoing.

During the massive missile attack on Kyiv, 32,000 people, including 2,200 children, took refuge in the capital’s metro stations.

Kyiv and Kryvyi Rih declare 9 July a day of mourning due to russia’s terrorist attack on civilian targets in Kyiv and Kryvyi Rih. On this day, flags on all municipal buildings in the city will be lowered. It is also recommended to do so with the state flags on public and private buildings.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

The General Staff reported that in the afternoon, russians attacked Vovchanski Khutory with a guided aerial bomb from Belgorod. At the same time, Ukrainian soldiers repelled five russian assaults near Hlyboke, Vovchansk, Tykhe and Starytsia.

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy stormed the positions of Ukrainian troops near Stelmakhivka twice without success. Another battle continues near Berestove.

Viktor Kovalanko, Head of Zolochiv community, said that around 11:45am, russia launched another artillery attack on the border village of Odnorobivtsi in Kharkiv oblast. About 70% of residential buildings were damaged or destroyed, but 126 people, including two children, still live in the village. Also russia has been shelling the village for eight days in a row.

The press service of the regional police reported that around 7:30am, a 62-year-old resident of Lyptsi was injured as a result of a russian drone strike. The man was taken to hospital.

According to the RMA, at 12:32am, russians attacked Kharkiv. As a result of the fall of ammunition fragments in Osnovianskyi district, a fire broke out in a private house. Cars and outbuildings were damaged. Two women aged 50 and 75 were injured and hospitalised.

At 6:31pm, a car exploded on a dirt road near a cemetery near Tsyrkuny village in Kharkiv region, killing six people as a result of running over an anti-tank mine:

53-year-old driver of the car

his 64-year-old sister;

a man of about 40 years old, possibly the driver’s nephew;

a 25-year-old woman, probably the driver’s niece;

her 5-year-old son;

a 2-month-old baby, probably the daughter of the 25-year-old woman.

The bodies of the victims were sent to the morgue. DNA examinations will be carried out in the future. The work at the scene of the tragedy has been completed.

At 4:38pm, Novoplatonivka village of Borova community, Izium region was hit. The shelling partially destroyed the house of culture and damaged 4 private houses.

At 4:32pm, russians a private household in Bohuslavka village of Borova community, Izium region. The shelling damaged two private houses. A 48-year-old man and a 70-year-old woman were injured and hospitalised.

At 3:40pm, russians attacked Bilyi Kolodiaz village of Vovchansk community, Chuhuiv region. Two apartment buildings were damaged as a result of the shelling by the KAB.

 At 3:50pm, russians attacked Kolisnykivka village of Kupiansk region. One private house was damaged as a result of an MRLs attack.

At 8am, russians attacked Mytrofanivna village of Dvorichna community, Kupiansk region. Three buildings of a pig farm on the territory of the agricultural enterprise were damaged as a result of shelling from multiple rocket launchers.

Towards Kharkiv, the enemy attacked three times near Lyptsi, Starytsia and Vovchansk. Ukrainian soldiers stopped all the aggressor’s assaults.

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions 10 times near Synkivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Pishchane and Stelmakhivka. Six of the attacks were successfully repelled, and four more were ongoing as of the morning.

The Chief of Staff of the operational battalion of the Khartiia 13th National Guard Brigade, call sign Pharaoh, reported that during the assaults in the north of Kharkiv oblast, the army is using both armoured vehicles and “light” vehicles – buggies, ATVs and agricultural machinery. He said that over the past week, the russians have been conducting assault operations with units of up to ten soldiers without the support of equipment. They were spotted moving around on a motorbike they found among locals.

Donetsk oblast

The State Emergency Service in Donetsk oblast reported that a car tripped over an anti-tank mine in Kramatorsk region. Two adults and one child were killed as a result of the detonation.

Russians shelled Pokrovsk, killing three people. It has been preliminarily established that the attack was carried out using Smerch multiple rocket launchers. The invaders hit a private enterprise, damaging the building and civilian cars. Three employees died on the spot. Information on the number of victims is being clarified. Explosive experts, an investigative team and all relevant services were working at the site of the attack.

Yesterday russia launched 2,275 attacks in the oblast. According to Donetsk police, the enemy targeted 14 settlements: Kurakhove city, Hrodivka, Illinka, Kurakhivka, Novoekonomichne, Niu-York, Pivnichne settlements, Veselyi Hai, Kostiantynopilske, Memryk, Mykhailivka, Novoselydivka, Pleshchiivka and Yantarne villages.

16 civilian objects were damaged, including 14 residential buildings, a granary and a critical infrastructure facility.

In Hrodivka, russians hit a residential sector with a drone, killing a civilian.

At least one person was killed and one was injured as a result of small arms and KAB-250 bomb attacks on Pivnichne. Two apartment buildings were damaged.

Two civilians in Niu-York and another in Illinivka were injured.

“There is almost no communication. There is no electricity, no water and no more or less comfortable conditions. The humanitarian situation is very bad. There are a lot of people in the city who are not ready to leave. The streets are empty, but when you arrive at the addresses according to the applications, you see how many people are still there.”

Anton Yaremchuk, a volunteer of the Base UA NGO, informed that evacuation of the population continues in the frontline Toretsk and Niu-York. It is currently dangerous to stay in the settlements close to the front line as the russian military is constantly “keeping” drones in the air.

Luhansk oblast

The enemy continues to strike at the roads used to evacuate civilians from Luhansk oblast and deliver humanitarian aid. According to the RMA, this kind of shelling is constant, regardless of whether or not traffic is recorded. The occupiers intend to destroy the remaining road infrastructure. Yesterday, they used a Uragan multiple rocket launcher system to damage the asphalt pavement on one of the roads.

There were also 15 explosions in the frontline Nevske. The village suffered from artillery fire. Most of the damage was done to previously damaged houses.

Neighbouring Makiivka was shelled by cannon and rocket artillery. Unmanned aerial vehicles were repeatedly launched over the two settlements.

The invaders used mortars of various types near Kuzemivka and Stelmakhivka.

The enemy attacked towards Stelmakhivka, Andriivka, Nevske, Hrekivka and Makiivka.

Despite the change of the so-called “recovery supervisor” by the russians, the situation in Lysychansk has not improved. In the heat of July, the lack of centralised water supply remains the most painful issue. The water supply system has been out of order for almost two years in the entire city. All this time, the locals have been saving themselves by using irregular deliveries of processed water. But in the summer, there were delays with this too. Residents of remote areas and villages around the city suffer the most, as they have not received water for weeks.

Near Novopskov, the russian military robbed a collection vehicle. To cover up the crime, they decided to disguise it as a road accident and crushed the vehicle. As a result, two people died and the money disappeared.

Roman Vlasenko, Head of Sievierodonetsk Regional Military Administration, reported that over the two years of occupation, Sievierodonetsk region has seen degradation in the humanitarian, economic, political, environmental and other spheres.  Forest fires are increasingly spreading to the settlements of the so-called “lpr”. People who remain under occupation are not open even in communicating with their neighbours because they fear repression.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

On the morning of 8 July, russian troops launched a missile attack on Kyiv. The attack was massive and combined, using aerial, ballistic and cruise missiles that flew at the capital in waves from different directions. The Kyiv City Military Administration informed that there was a destruction of buildings, more than 20 people were killed and several dozen were injured. The State Emergency Service announced that as of 16:30, 22 people were killed in different parts of the city, including two children.

During the rocket attack on the capital, the Kyiv Children’s Hospital “Okhmatdyt” was damaged – the largest children’s hospital in Ukraine and the only one where all types of allogeneic bone marrow transplantation have been carried out since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. Its walls were among the first to receive children from different regions of the country who were seriously injured after russian missile and artillery attacks.

The toxicology building was hit, where the children received dialysis, as well as intensive care units, operating theatres and an oncology department. Five buildings of the children’s hospital were damaged. 

According to preliminary data from Security Service investigators, the occupiers used a strategic cruise missile X-101 to fire on the medical facility. Relevant evidence was found at the scene of the tragedy – fragments of the rear body of the X-101 missile with a serial number and part of the rudder of the same missile.

A multi-storey building in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv was heavily damaged as a result of a russian missile attack on Kyiv in the morning. The entrance and at least 17 apartments were completely destroyed, and several other entrances were heavily damaged,” said Mayor Vitali Klitschko. “The house opposite was also damaged. Rescue operations are underway. A woman in serious condition was pulled from the rubble and hospitalised.

After the morning attack on Kyiv, russian forces shelled the capital again in the afternoon of 8 July. Shell fragments hit a medical facility in the ..Dniprovskyi district, partially destroying the building of a medical centre.The Prosecutor General’s Office reported that seven people were killed and three wounded in the second attack.

According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, the russian air attack on 8 July destroyed and damaged civilian infrastructure in seven districts of the capital: the Okhmatdyt children’s hospital in Shevchenkivskyi district; a kindergarten and a residential building in Holosiivskyi district, and cars on fire; an office building in Solomianskyi district; rubble in a residential building in Dniprovskyi district; a private house in Darnytskyi district; rubble near a residential building in Sviatoshynskyi district and a fire in a business premises in Desnianskyi district.

Mayor Vitalii Klychko informed that 9 July is declared a day of mourning in the capital in connection with russia’s terrorist attack on civilian targets. On this day, flags on all administrative buildings in the city will be at half-mast. Any entertainment events are prohibited. According to the State Emergency Service as of 4pm on 8 July, the death toll from the russian shelling of Kyiv has risen to 22, with 72 people injured.

Kyiv City Military Administration reported  that  more than a thousand rescuers and utility workers are working to clear the rubble at the sites of the explosions. The employees of Kyiv Rescue Service, Kyivkomunservice and Kyivblahoustrii are also involved. 166 employees of Kyivzelenbud and district utilities are helping to clear the rubble on the territory of the Okhmatdyt children’s hospital. The work involves 134 employees of the capital’s road transport enterprises and 48 units of equipment.

Three transformer substations in the capital were completely destroyed or damaged by russian missile fire. DTEK informed that consumers in two districts of the city are without electricity. Transformer substations were damaged in Holosiivksyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts. Power grids were also damaged. Power engineers are working to restore electricity supply to consumers.

Kyiv City Military Administration reported that help centres are being set up in several districts of Kyiv that were hit hardest by the morning rocket attack. Victims can apply for one-time financial assistance and receive free advice on further steps.

Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of Kyiv City Military Administration, reported that in Kyiv oblast, two people sustained shrapnel wounds as a result of the morning russian attack. As a result of the falling debris, grass and forest flooring caught fire in four districts of the oblast and most of them have been extinguished. Two private houses, a shop and a car were also damaged. 

Zhytomyr oblast

The air raid alert sounded in Zhytomyr oblast from 2:02 to 3:50 am. On the morning of 8 July, the Ukrainian Air Force reported in its report that air defence systems were operating over Zhytomyr oblast at night, and that missiles were shot down.

Zhytomyroblenerho reported that on 8 July, Zhytomyr oblast will be subject to hourly power cuts. Electricity for household consumers will be cut off in several stages – from two to four simultaneously. 

Sumy oblast

 At night and in the morning of 8 July, russians fired 8 times at the border areas and settlements of Sumy oblast. 

A total of 16 explosions were recorded, including mortar attacks, FPV drone strikes, and the dropping of explosive devices from UAVs. Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Seredyna-Buda and Znob-Novhorodske communities were shelled. 

The regional military administration reported that on 7 July, after 11pm, the enemy launched a missile attack on the suburbs of Sumy. The consequences of the enemy attack are being clarified. The North Joint Forces Operation announced that as a result of the shelling of the village of Stetskivka by the russian military, a critical infrastructure facility was damaged.

On 7 July, the russian military shelled Sumy oblast 28 times, with a total of 88 explosions recorded. According to the RMA, 9 border communities were shelled. 

The russians dropped 13 mines and 12 ammunition from a UAV on the territory of Krasnopillia community.

The enemy fired 2 cannon artillery strikes and 1 FPV drone strike at the territory of Bilopillia community.

The russian military shelled Seredyna-Buda community with artillery (6 explosions), mortars (6 explosions) and an FPV drone strike.

Esman community: FPV drone strikes (9 explosions) and mortar shelling (5 explosions) were recorded.

Khotyn community was under artillery attack (2 explosions). The enemy also launched 5 NAR missiles from a helicopter at the community.

Velyka Pysarivka (17 mines), Shalyhyne (4 strikes), Druzhba (3 strikes) and Putivl (3 mines) communities came under mortar attack.

Sumy Oblast State Emergency Service informed that over the past week, bomb squads in the oblast destroyed 48 munitions. The explosive items were found in Sumy, Okhtyrka, Konotop and Shostka regions. Since the beginning of the year, 690 munitions have been found and destroyed. 

Oksana Shulha, the school’s director, informed that in Myropillia, the local lyceum is preparing for evacuation. The school is preparing to leave the 10km zone in compliance with the order of the oblast administration. According to her, the lyceum is often shelled by russian troops. The last explosions were recorded here in late May, when two artillery shells exploded in the school yard.

Chernihiv oblast

Over the past 24 hours, russian troops attacked Semenivka community. According to the State Border Guard Service, 12 explosions from mortars and cannon artillery were recorded on the territory of the border community in the direction of Leonivka, Arkhipivka and Liskivshchyna.

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the RMA, said that over the past week, the enemy fired 55 times at 14 settlements in Chernihiv oblast. A total of 343 explosions were recorded during this period. The enemy carried out 12 air strikes. Civilian infrastructure in the oblast was damaged or destroyed there.

The Siversk operational and tactical group of troops responded that during the day on 7 July, russian drones attacked the village of Tymonovychi in Semenivka community on the border of Chernihiv oblast. One of them was shot down by the defence forces. According to the State Border Guard Service, the drone was destroyed close to the settlement. After the crash, the explosive part detonated in an open area.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

At night, an enemy reconnaissance drone was shot down over the oblast.

 In the evening, the invaders shelled Nikopol region. They shelled the regional centre, Pokrovsk and Marhanets communities by kamikaze drones and artillery. In Nikopol, four civilians were injured, three women – 81, 41, 64 years old, and a 10-year-old boy.

An apartment building was damaged, windows, doors and an entrance broken. Several fires broke out, affecting a private enterprise, 4 houses, a car, 3 outbuildings and 2 greenhouses.

In Kryvyi Rih, 10 people were reported killed and more than 30 injured, including some critically.

The strike on the oblast killed 11 people in Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih. A total of 68 people were injured, including three 14-year-olds. The enemy did not stop attacking Nikopol region. They shelled the regional centre, Myrove and Pokrovsk communities all day long. A 65-year-old man was injured, he sustained shrapnel wounds. An apartment building, an agricultural company, a hotel, 5 private houses and a power line were damaged.

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of the RMA, reported that the Lower Silesian Voivodeship of Poland sent aid to our defenders to help rescue the wounded. 1,000 tourniquets and special Israeli bandages designed to stop bleeding in an emergency and sets of tactical equipment.

Vinnytsia oblast

Mayor Serhii Morhunov reported that Vinnytsia oblast delivered aid to the Chervona Kalyna National Guard and border guards. This includes 400 FPV attack drones, 20 Mavic 3T night drones, and 50,000 dry showers.

Kirovohrad oblast

Andrii Raikovych, Head of the Regional Military Administration, informed that in Kropyvnytskyi, an explosion was heard outside the city during the alarm. After russian morning rocket attack, a fire broke out in the fields in Oleksandriia region. No one was injured.

Kropyvnytskyi resident Serhii Kukushkin walked from Lviv to Kropyvnytskyi in 28 days. The soldier plans to walk 1,200km and reach Kostiantynivka, Donetsk oblast. During the marathon, Serhii is raising money to buy equipment for the unit of the 57th Separate Motorised Infantry Brigade where he served.

Poltava oblast

Mayor Vitalii Maletskyi confirmed that Kremenchuk is ready to receive children from Kyiv Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital, which was hit by a russian missile.

The fallen soldier from Horishni Plavni, Captain Oleksii Bulba, was posthumously awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, III degree.  The relevant decree was signed by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Ivanna Zozulia, Oleh Cherkashyn and Vladyslav Zlenko sell berries at the local market every week to raise money for medicines for the military. The small entrepreneurs have earned UAH 1,200. The money will be used to buy another batch of medicines for the army and hand them over to local volunteers.

Reshetylivka-based volunteer community, Berehynia, continues to raise funds for individual first aid kits for the soldiers. The volunteers intend to provide the defenders with medicines, tourniquets and life-saving medical supplies on the battlefield. The first batch of tactical first aid kits is almost fully equipped. They will be sent to the front line soon.

Cherkasy oblast

Ihor Taburets, Head of the RMA, said that during a night alert, air defence forces destroyed a russian missile in the sky over the oblast. There were no casualties or infrastructure damage.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Yesterday, the occupiers struck Zaporizhzhia oblast 282 times. Seven settlements were under enemy attacks. The russians carried out airstrikes on Huliaipole and Staroukrainka. They directed 108 UAVs of various modifications at Huliaipole, Levadne, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, and Novoandrïivka. Nine MLRS strikes targeted Novoandriivka, Robotyne, and Mala Tokmachka. There were 163 artillery strikes on the territories of Huliaipole, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, Robotyne, Staroukrainka, Malynivka and Levadne. Two reports of housing destruction were received.

On 7 July, two fires broke out in Polohy region as a result of russian shelling. According to rescuers, five residential buildings and outbuildings burned over an area of about 600 sq m.

The General Staff reported that the enemy assault near Mala Tokmachka was repelled towards Orikhiv.

Mykolaiv oblast

On 8 July, around 10am, russia launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine. Dry vegetation caught on fire due to falling missile debris in Mykolaiv oblast. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties or injuries.

Yesterday, on 7 July, the enemy attacked Kutsurub community with FPV kamikaze drones. A fire truck was damaged in the village of Dmytrivka as a result of the attack. In the evening, another FPV drone caused a dry grass fire, which was extinguished by firefighters. An agricultural enterprise sustained damage to a hangar, metal tanks, and a GAZ truck in the village of Solonchaky. A private house was damaged in the village of Dniprovske. There were no casualties.

Since the beginning of the year, sappers have surveyed over 171,700 hectares of agricultural land. 8,300 hectares have been surveyed in Mykolaiv oblast, including 1,670 hectares in June alone.

Support groups for the wives of active servicemen, and mothers and wives of fallen Ukrainian defenders, have begun operating in a “peer-to-peer” format in Mykolaiv. This project started on 1 June and will continue until the end of the summer.

Odesa oblast

As of 6am, on 8 July, there is one enemy ship in the Black Sea, which is equipped with Kalibr cruise missiles with a total salvo of up to four missiles. There are three enemy ships in the Sea of Azov, while two carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles with a total salvo of up to 24 missiles are in the Mediterranean Sea.

A new book about Ukrainian Navy Heroes titled “Faithfulness, Courage, Strength. Heroes of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine” was presented in Odesa. The author, Captain 2nd Rank Oleh Chalyk, explained that the numerous examples of heroism and self-sacrifice by naval servicemen, marine infantry, and naval aviators inspired him to create this work. The book aims to reflect the freedom-loving and courageous spirit of the Ukrainian people embodied in the actions of Ukraine’s defenders.

Kherson oblast

Two people were injured, and over 30 infrastructure objects were damaged in Kherson oblast due to russian attacks. The cities and villages of Kherson, Antonivka, Veletenske, Komyshany, Poniativka, Romashkove, Kizomys, Beryslav, Tiahynka, Novooleksandrivka, Mykhailivka, Odradokamianka and Shevchenkivka were under enemy attack. The damage included 19 private houses, two apartment buildings, three administrative buildings, a store, a café, a gas pipeline, a motorcycle, two utility buildings and a warehouse.

Yesterday Ukrainian defenders eliminated 100 russian occupiers and 40 units of weaponry and military equipment. They also destroyed a field supply buildup, a command and observation post, three observation posts, and a fuel supply point.

Police evacuated three women aged 60 to 70 from Khreschenivka in Beryslav region. Also russian forces massively shelled the area with artillery and MLRS for two consecutive days. The rescue operation was conducted under fire, but the police swiftly and safely transported the evacuees to their destination.

Last week, explosive ordnance disposal teams surveyed over 3,500 hectares on the right bank of Kherson oblast. Sappers discovered and neutralised over a thousand explosive devices.

Zakarpattia oblast

In Uzhhorod, a memorial plaque was installed in honour of Volodymyr Satmari, fallen defender of Ukraine. Priests celebrated the memorial service and consecrated the memorial plaque. Those present honoured the deceased with a moment of silence. Junior Sergeant Volodymyr Satmari, nicknamed Voron, was killed on 11 May, 2023 in the village of Novovasylivka, Sumy oblast, while performing a combat mission.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Ivano-Frankivsk City Council reported that they sent a batch of FPV drones to the 4th Separate Tank Brigade.

45 soldiers of Ivano-Frankivsk community, who were wounded at the front, will receive assistance in the amount of UAH 1.99m from the city budget. Since the beginning of the year, such payment has been allocated to 280 wounded soldiers in the amount of UAH 13.72m.

On 6-7 July, the regional festival of patriotic song Yavoryna-2024 took place. The military-patriotic song is aimed at supporting the fighting spirit of Ukrainian patriots who defend the country from the aggressor.

Lviv oblast

The 1st camp for veterans Veteran Camp was held in Lviv oblast within the framework of the League of Invincibles sports opportunities project. 47 veterans and their relatives took part in the camp. They were offered many activities and locations, namely, a rope park, fishing, swimming, horse riding, Nordic walking and other types of recreation and motor activity. Now, in addition to the inclusive training sessions that have been taking place every week since the beginning of this year, a new format is also being introduced – at the end of each summer month, Summer Veteran Camp will be held at the best locations in Lviv щblast

202 people, included, 24 people with disabilities, were evacuated to Lviv oblast last week. In addition to accompanying and informing, volunteers mostly provided assistance in the settlement of older people and persons with disabilities. Also, psychological consultations were conducted for all those willing.

Rivne oblast

24 developments of a defensive nature, including, unmanned aerial vehicles, anti-drone guns, electronic warfare systems, etc., were registered by representatives of Rivne oblast within the framework of the coordination platform for the development of Ukrainian defence technologies Brave1. In order to increase the number of such products, state programs have been introduced. Within the framework of the Made in Ukraine platform, grants in the amount of UAH 500,000 to UAH 2m are provided.

Ternopil oblast

Ruslan Tsvihun, acting Head of the Main Directorate of the DPS in Ternopil oblast, reported that during the first half of this year, the budget received UAH 216.3m of military levy from payers of the oblast. Revenues exceeded the figure for six months of 2023 by UAH 20.9m.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Since the beginning of 2024, Khmelnytskyi community has sent over 3,500 FPV drones, about 300 quadcopters and over 60 EW and REP devices to the army. In addition, military units receive funds from the budget of the community, with which they buy everything they need.

Chernivtsi oblast

The RMA reported that Krasnoil community allocated over UAH 100,000 to help the Military unit A4815 and the Main Directorate of the National Police in Chernivtsi oblast.

Mamalyhivsk community has allocated funds to purchase computer and television equipment for Khotyn Regional Procurement Centre This technique will help improve the work of the centre and ensure the quality of services to defenders.

Klishkovetsk community allocated UAH 200,000 to Chernivtsi Regional Hospital For War Veterans. These funds will help ensure quality treatment and rehabilitation of our defenders who were wounded or injured while performing combat missions.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Great Britain announced a new aid package to Ukraine, which includes: 250,000 50-calibre ammunition, 90 Brimstone anti-tank missiles, 50 small military boats to support river and coastal operations, 40 demining machines, 10 AS-90 artillery guns, 61 bulldozers for the construction of defence positions, as well as support for previously donated AS-90s, including 32 new barrels and critical spare parts that will help Ukraine fire another 60,000 155mm rounds.

Ukraine and Poland signed a security agreement.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, met with Kaspar Veldkamp, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, and Ruben Brekelmans, Minister of Defense of the Netherlands. They discussed the need for an additional air defence system and the provision of F-16 aircraft.

The Ukrainian delegation held a productive round of consultations with the American delegation led by Jake Sullivan, National Security Advisor to the US President. They summed up the results of the 1st Peace Summit and agreed on steps for the coming weeks and months to concretely implement its results and prepare for the 2nd Summit.

Radoslaw Sikorski, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, reported that the signing of a bilateral security agreement with Ukraine as a follow-up to the G7 declaration will take place in the coming days.

In Paris, Ukrainians marched with a call to support Ukraine’s accession to NATO. People held placards calling on the North Atlantic Alliance to invite Ukraine to membership as soon as possible and thus send a sign to putin that he will not be able to restore the russian empire.
