In occupied Luhansk oblast, the russians show no concern for the low standards of education, medicine, employment, and housing or communal services. Instead, the promotion of war, the militarization of youth, and forced mobilization remain their main priorities. Among the 15 youth propaganda organizations established by russia in the so-called “lpr,” the “Movement of the First” (Dvizheniye Pervykh) is the largest. Over 100,000 young people have already been drawn into it under various pretexts, as the invaders view each of them as future infantrymen for the russian army.
The russians are distributing gasoline to the so-called “lpr” based on a residual principle. Local proxy leaders, in turn, decide which communities will receive supplies and which will not. Ultimately, they decided to sacrifice front-line territories, including the Kreminna community. Currently, transport links with the town have been suspended indefinitely: minibuses and buses are no longer running, and leaving the area is only possible via personal vehicles.
