It has been the 1590th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 4 pm:  

On 2 July, there were 224 combat engagements on the frontline.

The enemy launched two missile strikes using 75 missiles, carried out 62 airstrikes, and dropped 187 guided aerial bombs. Furthermore, the invaders deployed 6,368 kamikaze drones and conducted 2,145 shellings against settlements and positions of our troops.

  • Towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk: Five combat engagements took place, three of which are still ongoing. The enemy conducted one airstrike using a single guided aerial bomb and carried out 35 shellings of Ukrainian positions and settlements.
  • Towards Southern Sloboda: Over the course of the day, the enemy launched fifteen assaults on the positions of our units near Staryi Khutor, Hrane, Kudievka, Izbytske, Starytsia, Symynivka, and Khatnie. Four combat engagements are still ongoing.
  • Towards Kupiansk: The enemy did not conduct any offensive operations.
  • Towards Lyman: Seven attempts by the invaders to advance were repelled in the areas of Novoselivka, Dibrova, and Lyman.
  • Towards Slovyansk: The Defense Forces successfully halted 26 attempts by the invaders to push forward near Zakitne, Rai-Oleksandrivka and Kryva Luka; one more combat engagement is still ongoing.
  • Towards Kramatorsk: One enemy assault was recorded near the settlement of Chasiv Yar.
  • Towards Kostiantynivka: The Defense Forces repelled thirteen enemy assaults near Rusyn Yar, Ivanopillia, Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, and Raiske. Two combat engagements are still ongoing.
  • Towards Pokrovsk: In total, the enemy carried out 28 attacks. The occupiers attempted to advance in the vicinity of Toretske, Shevchenko, Novooleksandrivka, Filiia, Kucheriv Yar, Vilne, Bilytske, Dorozhne, Rodynske, Svitle, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, and Udachne.
  • According to preliminary estimates, 42 occupiers were eliminated and 16 were wounded today in this sector. One enemy tank, two vehicles, and eight pieces of special equipment were destroyed, and one enemy infantry shelter was struck. Additionally, one artillery system, one vehicle, and one drone control post were damaged. A total of 231 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types were destroyed or neutralized.
  • Towards Oleksandrivka: Our defenders repelled two attacks by the occupiers in the vicinity of Ternove and Yehorivka.
  • Towards Huliaipole: There were twenty-one attacks by the occupiers in the vicinity of Rybne, Dobropillia, Rizdvianka, Kopani, Shyroke, Tsvitkove, Charivne, Novoselivka, and Huliaipilske. One combat engagement is still ongoing.
  • Towards Orikhiv and Kherson: The enemy did not conduct any assault operations.

In other directions, there were no significant changes in the situation.

 Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

There were 259 combat engagements along the front line.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that towards Southern Sloboda, Ukrainian military forces repelled 14 attacks near Ternova, Chaikivka, Shevyakivka, Zarubynka, Khatnie, Lyman, Starytsia, and Artilne. Towards Kupiansk, the Russian army launched a single attack near Borivska Andriivka.

Assault units of the “Skala” Regiment reported the elimination of a state border breakthrough near Kozacha Lopan, as well as the successful clearing of Hrane and adjacent border sectors. According to the unit, strike drones also targeted russian troop deployment routes and their immediate rear, including areas near Malynivka inside the russian federation.

Kupiansk Region Military Administration reports that a 76-year-old man was killed and five other people were injured during a guided aerial bomb (KAB) strike on Shevchenkove. Two men, aged 52 and 70, sustained blast injuries, while three other individuals suffered an acute stress reaction.

Serhii Starikov, Head of Shevchenkove Settlement Military Administration, confirmed that the deceased, one of the wounded men, and one of the affected women belong to the same family.

Additionally, overnight russian drone attacks targeted the villages of Spodobivka and Petrivka, causing damage to a kindergarten building.

Over the past day, the city of Kharkiv and 28 settlements in the region came under enemy fire.

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Oblast Military Administration, reports that the shellings killed two people and injured 48 others, including five children. In Kharkiv, a 15-year-old boy was killed and 39 people sustained injuries, among whom were a one-year-old girl, an 8-year-old girl, a 17-year-old girl, and a 16-year-old boy. Another person was killed in Ivashky, Zolochiv community; their identity is currently being established. The russian army attacked Kharkiv using 15 KABs, “Geran-2” and “Molniya” drones, as well as FPV drones.

Kupiansk Region Military Administration reports that in Shevchenkove, a 76-year-old man was killed and five other people were injured during a KAB strike. Two men sustained blast injuries, while three other individuals suffered an acute stress reaction. Serhii Starikov, Head of Shevchenkove Settlement Military Administration, confirmed that the deceased, one of the wounded men, and one of the affected women belong to the same family.

The State Emergency Service of Kharkiv oblast and the head of the community, Viktor Kovalenko, report that in the Zolochiv community, a russian drone strike on a farm in the village of Dovzhyk killed 10 calves and injured 10 others.

Nnani Adaobi Maryann, a graduate of Kharkiv National Medical University, is in extremely critical condition following a russian airstrike on Kharkiv on 29 June, her cousin, Eyiiche Amanda Uchechi, told Suspilne. According to her, the young woman sustained burns to 90% of her body, lost an eye, suffered respiratory tract burns along with numerous shrapnel wounds, and had her leg amputated. Following the start of the full-scale war, Maryann moved to Germany and returned to Kharkiv specifically for her graduation ceremony. Her 23-year-old friend, Fatima Huseinova, was killed in the exact same strike. A fundraiser has been launched to support the young woman’s medical treatment and rehabilitation.

The transit evacuation point in Lozova accommodated 243 people over the past day. In total, 43,533 evacuated individuals have been registered there since the point began operating.

 

Kharkiv Oblast Military Administration reports that over the course of a week, sappers cleared more than 77 hectares of land in Kharkiv oblast and neutralized 4,648 explosive hazards. During this period, teams also surveyed more than 36 hectares of agricultural land, over 7 hectares of forests, and more than 4 kilometers of roads, cleared 14 residential properties of mines, and reconnected 19,406 customers to the power grid.

Donetsk oblast

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that over the past day, the russian army launched 28 attacks towards Slovyansk. The occupiers assaulted the positions of the Defense Forces near Kryva Luka, Rai-Oleksandrivka, and Riznykivka. Towards Pokrovsk, Ukrainian military forces repelled 33 attacks, while another 20 battles took place Towards Kostiantynivka.

Vasyl Denysiuk, Spokesperson for the 66th Separate Mechanized Brigade, reports that the russian army has begun more actively involving mercenaries from Africa and Latin America in assaults Towards Lyman due to manpower shortages. According to him, the occupiers continue to try to apply pressure with infantry groups, but they are making no advances and are gradually losing the initiative.

Additionally, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed that the Defense Forces struck a railway bridge across the Siverskyi Donets River near temporarily occupied Stanytsia Luhanska, which russian troops use for logistics.

Donetsk Regional Police reports that in the morning, the russian army used drones to attack two civilian cars in Kramatorsk.

For 1 July, police recorded 1,243 shellings along the front line and the residential sector of Donetsk oblast. Nine settlements came under fire. Forty-seven civilian objects were damaged, including 26 residential houses.

  • Mykolaivka: The russians killed a civilian and damaged a private house.
  • Kramatorsk: russian troops carried out 10 strikes, primarily using drones. Four people were injured. Three apartment buildings, one private house, a state flag, an infrastructure facility, and six civilian cars were damaged.
  • Druzhkivka: The russians struck the town with three KAB-250 guided aerial bombs and an FPV drone. Two peaceful residents were injured. Six apartment buildings, four private houses, and an administrative building sustained damage.
  • Novodonetske: The occupiers carried out six airstrikes using KABs. Four civilians were injured, and an agricultural enterprise was damaged.
  • Slovyansk: russian troops struck using drones and Smerch MLRS. Ten private houses and a beach tent were damaged.
  • Oleksandrivka, Spasko-Mykhailivka, Mayaky, and Samiilivka: A gas station was damaged in Oleksandrivka, an outpatient clinic in Spasko-Mykhailivka, an administrative building in Mayaky, and a private house in Samiilivka.

The Ukrainian Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith reports that the “Good News” Church was damaged during the russian airstrike on Kramatorsk on 30 June. The building’s ceiling collapsed, and its rooms sustained significant destruction.

A new state flag has been installed in Kramatorsk to replace the one damaged by a russian drone, Kramatorsk City Military Administration reported.

Donetsk Regional Police reports that “White Angel” police crews receive up to seven evacuation requests daily. This time, law enforcement officers evacuated two elderly women aged 83 and 96. Due to the threat of FPV drones, one of them had to be transported on a wheelbarrow that was repurposed into an improvised stretcher.

The State Emergency Service of Donetsk region reports that over the past day, rescuers from the “Phoenix” group evacuated 16 people from Druzhkivka, including two individuals with limited mobility.

The regional intensive care hospital, which had been relocated from Mariupol, was damaged during an overnight russian missile and drone attack on Kyiv. Vadym Filashkin, Head of Donetsk Oblast Military Administration, confirmed that the outpatient clinic and the operating block sustained destruction.

Mariupol City Council reports that due to a fuel crisis in temporarily occupied Mariupol, the price of gasoline has increased more than 1.5 times since mid-June. Concurrently, the occupation administration has introduced “special control” over fuel at gas stations.

Luhansk oblast

Oleksii Kharchenko, Head of Luhansk Oblast Military Administration, reports that over the past day, russian troops directed 28 FPV drones at the positions of Ukrainian defenders in Luhansk oblast and carried out 16 drone drops. The occupiers also opened fire three times using mortars and multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), and twice deployed automatic grenade launchers and tube artillery. Towards Lyman, the russian army launched 11 attacks near five settlements.

The occupation administration in the so-called “lpr” has formed its first group of student brigades. According to Luhansk Oblast Military Administration, 15 students were sent to Kamchatka, where the future teachers and cultural workers will be put to work processing fish instead of completing professional internships.

The fuel crisis is deepening across temporarily occupied Luhansk oblast. Luhansk Region Military Administration reports that due to reduced gasoline supplies, long lines are forming at gas stations, and a purchasing limit of 20 liters per customer remains in effect. Fuel prices continue to stay 2 to 3 times higher than they were in the spring. This shortage has driven an increase in illegal sellers, whose gasoline is priced even higher.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

During the night of 2 July, the russian military launched a combined attack on Kyiv using drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles. As of 4:40 p.m., 21 people had been killed and at least 85 injured. The attack caused damage and destruction at more than 30 locations across every district of the city. 3 July has been declared a Day of Mourning in Kyiv.

According to Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko, search and rescue operations are ongoing at a damaged residential building in Kyiv’s Darnytskyi district. Rescuers are searching for a 15-year-old girl and her family. According to him, several children are among the injured. Doctors are performing surgery on a five-year-old girl and her brother, while a 16-year-old girl is also receiving medical treatment. A 10-year-old boy with severe injuries has been hospitalized and is undergoing surgery. His parents have not been found beneath the rubble, and the child is currently with his grandfather.

According to the Kyiv City State Administration, a russian attack damaged an emergency medical station and nine ambulances. Six staff members, including paramedics and drivers, were injured.

Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko said that the overnight large-scale russian attack damaged DTEK energy infrastructure facilities. As a result, some residents of the capital remain without electricity. Repair crews are working to restore power to all affected households as quickly as possible.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, emergency responders continue to operate at 15 locations across Kyiv. Overall, more than 100 buildings were damaged as a result of the russian attack. Twenty of them, including residential buildings ranging from five to 16–18 storeys, sustained such extensive damage that they will be uninhabitable for the foreseeable future.

In Kyiv’s Darnytskyi district, a direct strike caused the partial collapse of a nine-storey residential building, destroying sections from the first to the sixth floors. Several other buildings, including apartment blocks and private homes, were also damaged. According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, 17 people have been rescued at the site, including seven who were extricated from beneath the rubble. One person was killed. At least six people remain missing, and search operations are ongoing.

In Kyiv’s Desnianskyi district, debris from an unmanned aerial vehicle fell near a private house without causing a fire. Windows of a nine-storey residential building were also damaged.

In the Pecherskyi district, two residential buildings were damaged. One sustained partial structural collapse and caught fire, while the other suffered partial structural damage. According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, one person was rescued at the scene.

In the Solomianskyi district, a fire broke out near an administrative building.

In the Shevchenkivskyi district, fires broke out in five-storey residential buildings, a hotel, the premises of a scientific institution, a market, and an electrical transformer substation, among other sites. An emergency medical services station was also damaged.

In Kyiv’s Obolonskyi district, fires broke out at warehouses, an industrial facility, and another storage complex. Firefighters are working to extinguish the blaze, including with the support of a helicopter.

In the Sviatoshynskyi district, two private homes were damaged. One person was killed and three others were injured, according to the head of the district administration, Heorhii Zantaraia.

In the Holosiivskyi district, a fire broke out in a high-rise residential building. Another fire was reported at a separate site, while debris fell in an industrial area.

In the Dniprovskyi district, falling debris sparked a fire on the fifth floor of a nine-storey residential building.

In the Podilskyi district, debris fell in the area, while several vehicles caught fire in the courtyard of residential buildings.

At least seven people were injured during russia’s overnight attack on Kyiv oblast on 2 July, according to Head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration Mykola Kalashnyk. In total, 17 sites across the region were damaged, including nine private homes, a dormitory, and four vehicles. The consequences of the attack were recorded in six districts:

  • Bucha district: Five people were injured. A private house, warehouse facilities, an unfinished building, and two vehicles were damaged.
  • Brovary district: Six private homes, a dormitory building, and one vehicle were damaged.
  • Obukhiv district: Private homes were damaged.
  • Fastiv district: Private homes were damaged.
  • Vyshhorod district: A passenger car was damaged.
  • Boryspil district: A car dealership was damaged, and two people were injured.

 

Zhytomyr oblast

На Житомирщині ветерани, ветеранки та члени їхніх сімей мають можливість безкоштовно опанувати нову професію, пройти перепідготовку або підвищити кваліфікацію, – повідомили в ОВА. У 2026 році на реалізацію програми професійної адаптації ветеранів у Житомирській області передбачено 5,9 млн грн. Це дозволить надати відповідні послуги 272 особам. Наразі вже укладено 144 тристоронні договори із закладами освіти та надавачами послуг.

1 липня діти пільгових категорій із Житомирської області вирушили до Естонської Республіки на десятиденний відпочинок та психологічну реабілітацію, – повідомили в ОВА. Учасниками поїздки стали діти віком від 12 до 16 років, чиє житло було пошкоджене або зруйноване внаслідок ракетних обстрілів території області.

According to the Novohuivynske Settlement Council, residential buildings in the Novohuivynske community of Zhytomyr district were damaged as a result of a russian attack on 2 July. On 3 July, a commission will inspect and assess property damaged by the russian strike.

According to the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration, veterans, veterans’ family members, and the families of fallen defenders in Zhytomyr oblast have the opportunity to receive free vocational training, retraining, or professional upskilling. In 2026, UAH 5.9 million has been allocated for the implementation of the oblast’s veteran professional adaptation programme, enabling 272 people to receive these services. To date, 144 tripartite agreements have been signed with educational institutions and service providers.

According to the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration, on 1 July, children from preferential categories in Zhytomyr region departed for a ten-day rehabilitation and psychological recovery programme in the Republic of Estonia. The participants, aged 12 to 16, are children whose homes were damaged or destroyed as a result of Russian missile attacks on the region.

 

Sumy oblast

The Regional Military Administration reported that on 2 July, the enemy struck civilian infrastructure in Sumy community by guided aerial bombs. A school building located in a residential area sustained significant damage, and private residential houses were also damaged. Two additional guided aerial bombs struck infrastructure facilities.

Serhii Kryvosheienko, Head of the City Military Administration, said that two nursery school employees were injured in the strike on the school in Sumy. The building was left without a single intact window, and the blast caused concrete floor slabs to collapse. Three nearby private residential houses and two private vehicles were also damaged.

According to Kryvosheienko, a nursery school operates on the ground floor of the building. There were no children in the school at the time of the strike, as they had been sent home earlier due to the power outage.

The Regional Military Administration informed that three civilians were injured on 2 July in a targeted enemy UAV strike on a filling station in Sumy community. They were hospitalised. The injured are two women aged 23 and 18, and a 47-year-old man.

Ukrenergo reported that, as of the morning of 2 July, Sumy oblast has the most difficult electricity supply situation following russian strikes. The oblast has the highest number of consumers without power. Emergency repair work is ongoing where security conditions permit.

According to Sumyvodokanal, due to disruptions to the power supply, the city’s water intake facilities continue to operate on emergency backup power. Stationary water tanks have been installed across Sumy. Elektroavtotrans also informed that trolleybus services have been suspended due to the lack of electricity, with only buses currently operating on municipal routes.

The State Emergency Service of Sumy oblast reported that firefighters repeatedly responded to the aftermath of enemy attacks on 1 July:

▪️ In Sumy, civilian vehicles caught fire following UAV strikes. At another location, a fire broke out in an open area;

▪️ Agricultural enterprises came under attack in Buryn and Trostianets communities;

▪️ In Bilopollia community, the enemy struck a residential area. Three outbuildings caught fire.

Firefighters extinguished all fires and provided emergency assistance to local residents.

From the morning of 1 July to the morning of 2 July, russian forces carried out nearly 220 attacks on 35 settlements across 22 territorial communities of Sumy oblast. The highest number of attacks was recorded in Sumy, Shostka and Konotop regions. The enemy used artillery, FPV drones, multiple launch rocket systems, UAVs and guided aerial bombs. Air raid alerts in the oblast lasted for 23 hours and 49 minutes during the reporting period.

The Regional Military Administration informed that, as of the morning of 2 July, nine people had been injured in enemy attacks across Sumy oblast over the previous 24 hours. Damage to civilian infrastructure, residential buildings and vehicles was also recorded:

▪️ In Sumy community, a 59-year-old man, a 31-year-old woman and a 52-year-old woman were injured in enemy UAV strikes. Another civilian received medical assistance without being hospitalised. Civilian infrastructure facilities, a private residential house, non-residential premises and passenger vehicles were damaged. A 13-year-old boy who had been injured in an enemy strike on 27 June also sought medical assistance;

▪️ In Hlukhiv community, a 57-year-old man was injured in a UAV strike. Civilian infrastructure facilities, non-residential premises and a vehicle were damaged;

▪️ In Seredyna-Buda community, a 54-year-old woman was injured in enemy shelling. Civilian infrastructure facilities and private residential houses were damaged;

▪️ In Mykolaivka rural community, a 56-year-old woman and a 50-year-old man were injured in an enemy UAV strike;

▪️ In Znob-Novhorodske community, a private residential house was damaged;

▪️ In Buryn community, non-residential premises were damaged;

▪️ In Shostka community, a private residential house was damaged;

▪️ In Putyvl community, civilian infrastructure facilities and non-residential premises were damaged;

▪️ In Myropillia community, a private residential house was damaged;

▪️ In Vorozhba community, residential houses were destroyed, while non-residential buildings, a civilian infrastructure facility and a private residential house were damaged;

▪️ In Bezdryk community, a non-residential premises and a passenger vehicle were damaged;

▪️ In Trostianets community, non-residential premises were damaged;

▪️ In Verkhnia Syrovatka community, a private residential house was damaged;

▪️ In Bilopillia community, a civilian infrastructure facility and an outbuilding were damaged;

▪️ In Velyka Pysarivka community, a non-residential premises was destroyed;

▪️ In Esman community, residential houses were destroyed;

▪️ In Svesa community, a vehicle was damaged.

Over the past 24 hours, local authorities, together with units of the State Emergency Service, the National Police and civil society organisations, evacuated nine people from border communities.

Chernihiv oblast

The National Police reported that on 1 July, russian forces carried out 13 attacks on 11 settlements in Chernihiv oblast. Enemy strikes damaged gravestones at a cemetery on the outskirts of Chernihiv. In Prybyn village, russian drones struck a farm and a residential house. No injuries were reported.

Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration, said that during the day on 1 July, russian forces attacked a farm in Pushkari village, Novhorod-Siverskyi community, by a Molniya UAV.

The State Enterprise Forests of Ukraine informed that debris from a russian drone ignited 75-year-old pine stands in Slavutych Forestry of Chernihiv Forestry on an island between Dnipro River and Verbka. The fire has been contained across an area of 30 hectares, and full extinguishing operations are ongoing.

According to Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, on 1 July, Koriukivka, Novobilouska, Mena, Novhorod-Siverskyi, Vertiivka and Horodnia communities came under russian attack:

▪️ In a village of Koriukivka community, a Lancet UAV struck a vegetable storage facility on the morning of 1 July. In the evening, a Molniya UAV strike in the same village damaged a tractor;

▪️ In Novobilouska community, a Lancet struck a residential house during the day on 1 July, causing homes to catch fire;

▪️ In Mena community, a Geran UAV struck an agricultural company on the evening of 1 July;

▪️ In Vertiivka community in Nizhyn district, the enemy struck a farm with a Gerbera UAV. A warehouse building caught fire;

▪️ During the night, a Gerbera UAV strike caused a fire at a filling station in Horodnia.

Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment reported that on 1 July, russian forces attacked three border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Semenivka, Snovsk and Horodnia. The enemy carried out artillery strikes (5 explosions), FPV drone attacks (7 explosions), one Molniya UAV strike, and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (3 explosions). Seven settlements came under enemy fire.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk RMA, reported that Solone and Novooleksandrivka communities came under a UAV attack. Fires broke out, engulfing a private house and an administrative building. The russian forces attacked the regional centre, Marhanets, Myrove and Pokrovske rural communities by drones. A private house, a post office, 2 passenger cars and 2 trucks were damaged. In Pavlohrad, a UAV attack set fire to 14 vehicles, 2 motorcycles and a trailer. Also, the region was  targeted by drones. A fire broke out in Petropavlivka community. In Shakhtarske, an apartment and balconies of a 4-story building caught fire. 2 people were injured. In Apostolove, a UAV strike damaged a gas station.

A 7-year-old girl was killed in Bohynivka community after 3 KABs struck the area. 3 people were injured, including an 11-year-old girl. Also, 3 KABs hit Vasylkivka community. A 14-year-old boy was injured. A summer kitchen, an outbuilding and a garage caught fire. 4 apartment buildings, 12 private houses, a gas pipeline and a vehicle were damaged. In Petropavlivka community, 1 person was injured in an FPV drone strike. A truck was damaged. A 66-year-old man was killed in Nikopol. 2 people were injured. 

The russian forces attacked the regional centre, Myrove, Chervonohryhorivka, Pokrovske rural and Marhanets communities by drones and artillery. A garden house and 3 vehicles were damaged. The attack damaged transport infrastructure, 5 apartment buildings, a gymnasium and a bus.

Kirovohrad oblast

Andrii Raikovych, Head of Kirovohrad RMA, stated that russian attacks caused damage to agricultural machinery in Kirovohrad oblast. Several fires broke out in open areas.

Poltava oblast

According to Poltava Regional Military Administration, during an air raid alert in Poltava oblast, an enemy aerial target struck the grounds of a private household in Poltava oblast. A residential house, 2 outbuildings and a vehicle were damaged. 2 people suffered acute stress reactions. Another aerial target fell in an open area on the premises of a private enterprise.

Cherkasy oblast

Ihor Taburets, Head of Cherkasy RMA, stated that overnight, air defence forces shot down 9 russian UAVs over Cherkasy oblast. In Cherkasy oblast, debris from a downed UAV damaged the windows of a private enterprise building and a vehicle.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, reported that 7 people, including 4 children, were injured in an attack on Zaporizhzhia. A building, a food warehouse and a sports centre were damaged.

A 55-year-old man was injured in a russian attack on Zaporizhzhia oblast. A drone struck the premises of an enterprise, damaging its buildings and a tractor.

The russian military once again attacked Zaporizhzhia, damaging a shopping mall.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on 1 July, the Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled 23 russian attacks in Huliaipole and Orikhiv regions. Combat engagements took place near Dobropillia and Mali Shcherbaky, as well as towards Vozdvyzhivka, Hirke, Rizdvianka, Rivne, Staroukrainka, Charivne and Huliaipilske.

Ivan Fedorov, Head of the RMA, stated that 3 people were injured as a result of russian attacks on Zaporizhzhia oblast and the regional centre. The russian forces launched more than 900 strikes on 48 settlements across Zaporizhzhia oblast. Most of the attacks involved drones, primarily FPV drones.

Mykolaiv oblast

Based on the information provided by Mykolaiv RMA, a 45-year-old man was killed in a russian attack on a gas station in Kostiantynivka community. 2 men were hospitalised and are receiving necessary medical care. The gas station building and 2 vehicles were destroyed.

Vitalii Kim, Head of the RMA, reported that on 2 July, 3 people were injured in a drone attack on Mykolaiv. A man was hospitalised in critical condition, while 2 women received medical assistance at the scene.

Yesterday, russian forces attacked Mykolaiv oblast during the day by drones, Molniia drones, FPV drones and MLRS. 1 person was killed, while 4 injured or suffered acute stress reactions. Critical infrastructure, an agricultural enterprise and private houses were among the targets.

Odesa oblast

Referring to the Air Force, in the morning, a jet-powered UAV was detected in the airspace over southern Mykolaiv oblast heading toward Odesa oblast.

Kherson oblast

Relying on the information provided by Kherson RMA, at approximately 5:30pm in Molodizhne, Kherson oblast, a resident was killed by the detonation of an explosive device. The man triggered the explosive while mowing grass near his home and sustained fatal injuries.

A 63-year-old doctor was killed in a russian strike on a medical facility in Kherson.

At approximately 4pm, russian forces shelled a healthcare facility in Kherson. One person is currently known to have been injured in the attack. Preliminary reports indicate that a 57-year-old nurse sustained a blast injury.

3 women from Kherson were injured after a russian Gerbera/Shahed UAV struck the city centre. The women, aged 26, 45 and 41, sustained blast injuries, concussions, traumatic brain injuries and acute stress reactions.

At approximately 2:40pm, russian forces attacked a private house in Tsentralnyi district of Kherson by a drone. A 61-year-old woman was injured when the UAV struck the roof of her house. She sustained a concussion, blast injury and closed traumatic brain injury.

At approximately 2pm, russian forces struck a civilian vehicle in the central part of Kherson by a drone. A 41-year-old man sustained critical injuries. Despite doctors’ efforts to save him, he died in hospital.

At approximately 11:am, russian forces attacked an elderly woman in the yard of her house in Daryivka by a drone. The 77-year-old resident sustained shrapnel wounds to her back, head and legs, as well as a concussion, blast injury and closed traumatic brain injury.

A woman was injured in a russian drone attack on a route minibus in Tsentralnyi district of Kherson. The 54-year-old woman sustained a blast injury and concussion. She will receive outpatient treatment.

At approximately 5:50am, russian forces attacked a civilian vehicle in Tsentralnyi district of Kherson by a drone. A 58-year-old man sustained blast and closed traumatic brain injuries, a concussion and shrapnel wounds to his arm and shoulder.

Yesterday, a 24-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man were injured. They were diagnosed with blast injuries and concussions and were prescribed outpatient treatment. Overall, one woman was killed and 22 people sustained injuries of varying severity as a result of that russian attack.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

The RMA a meeting with veterans, representatives of veteran communities and public organizations of the oblast. They discussed the provision of high-quality medical care and rehabilitation in healthcare institutions of the oblast.

Zakarpattia oblast

Kolomyia community honored the bright memory of the soldiers who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of Ukraine. Relatives of the fallen defenders were presented with regional awards For Merit to the Carpathians (posthumously).

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

In Ivano-Frankivsk oblast, another 50 veterans and families of fallen defenders of Ukraine were awarded certificates for the purchase of housing. In addition to providing housing, the regional administration plans to continue implementing measures to promote veterans’ adaptation to civilian life and social integration.

Lviv oblast

A meeting with veterans regarding support programs was held in Bibrka. The event was organized by Lviv RMA together with the Department for Veteran Policy of Lviv RMA. Veterans were informed about state and regional support programs, opportunities for employment, professional training, starting their own business, as well as receiving grants and vouchers for training.

Rivne oblast

The RMA reported that air raid sirens have sounded 1,213 times in Rivne oblast since the beginning of the war.

Ternopil oblast

A working meeting between Taras Pastukh, Head of the regional military administration, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Lubos Vesely, Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Ukraine, took place in Ozernya community. Parties outlined key areas of further cooperation between the oblast and Czech partners – from reconstruction to economic and energy development.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Since the beginning of the year, Khmelnytskyi community has already allocated almost UAH 790m. These are subventions for military units to purchase necessary equipment; purchase of NRCs, aircraft, electronic warfare, electronic warfare systems, FPV drones, copters and other equipment; financing of grant support for innovations for the defense industry; direct support for the military.

Chernivtsi oblast

Chernivtsi City Council and the Public Resources and Initiatives CF signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. The agreement covers support for youth, development of women’s leadership, civic activism, as well as support for veterans, their families, families of deceased, missing and captured defenders of Ukraine.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

A new memorandum between Energoatom and ŠKODA JS ( Czech Republic ) expands cooperation in the development of new nuclear capacities and modernization of Ukraine’s nuclear infrastructure. The memorandum with Doğuş İnşaat ( Turkey ) on cooperation in the implementation of Kaniv and Dniester PSPs, as well as the rehabilitation of Kakhovka HPP, has been extended.
