Since the beginning of the day, the Russian aggressor has launched 73 attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
Artillery shelling of border areas continues. Today, the settlements of Korenok, Neskuchne, Volfyne, Vilna Sloboda, Ulanove, Kharkivka, Buniakyne, and Bezsalivka in the Sumy region came under fire, as well as Kliusy in the Chernihiv region. Airstrikes targeted Sumy and Tovstodubove.
On the Northern Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, Russian forces launched six assaults on Ukrainian defensive positions, carried out one airstrike using two guided aerial bombs, and conducted 30 artillery attacks against populated areas and Ukrainian military positions.
On the Southern Slobozhanskyi direction, the invaders attempted seven times to break through Ukrainian defenses near Starytsia and toward Izbytske, Kutkivka, Sheviakivka, Khatnie, and Ambarne. Three engagements are still ongoing.
On the Kupiansk direction, the enemy launched three attacks toward Kupiansk and Kurylivka.
On the Lyman direction, Ukrainian troops repelled four enemy attempts to advance toward Lyman, Ozerne, and near Novoselivka. One engagement is still underway.
On the Sloviansk direction, the Defense Forces repelled 13 Russian assaults toward Kryva Luka, Rai-Oleksandrivka, and in the areas of Riznykivka and Zakitne. Three battles are still in progress.
On the Kramatorsk direction, Russian troops launched two attacks near Nykyforivka.
On the Kostiantynivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 17 enemy assaults in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Ivanopillia, Sofiivka, and toward Vilne and Kucheriv Yar.
On the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces made 17 attempts since the beginning of the day to dislodge Ukrainian troops from their positions near Dorozhne, Sukhetske, Rodynske, Hryshyne, Udachne, Novoserhiivka, and toward Shevchenko.
On the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy made one attempt to advance toward Vorone.
On the Huliaipole direction, the Defense Forces repelled five enemy attacks toward Hirke, Tsvitkove, Vozdvyzhivka, Verkhnia Tersa, and Charivne.
On the Orikhiv direction, Russian troops launched two assaults on Ukrainian positions near Plavni.
On the Prydniprovske direction, no enemy offensive actions have been recorded.
No significant changes have been observed on other fronts, and no additional enemy attempts to advance have been detected.
Ukrainian forces continue to wear down the enemy along the entire frontline and deep behind enemy lines.

Kharkiv oblast
Frontline
As of 10:00 p.m., Russian forces had launched 13 attacks on the Southern Slobozhanskyi direction, targeting the areas of Starytsia and advancing toward Izbytske, Lyman, Vilcha, Symynivka, Kolodiazne, Kutkivka, Sheviakivka, Khatnie, and Ambarne. One engagement is still ongoing.
On the Kupiansk direction, Russian troops carried out four attacks toward Kupiansk, Novoplatonivka, and Kurylivka. One battle is currently underway.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 253 combat engagements were recorded over the past day. On the Southern Slobozhanskyi direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 10 Russian attacks near Vilcha, Starytsia, Lyman, and toward Sheviakivka, Hraniv, and Kozacha Lopan. On the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces launched three attacks near Podoly and toward Shyikivka.
Shelling
On July 15, Russian forces struck Kyivskyi District in Kharkiv with a guided aerial bomb. According to updated information from Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, eight people were injured, three of whom are in critical condition. The attack damaged an administrative and industrial building, a hangar, and seven vehicles.
At approximately 5:00 p.m., Russian forces attacked the village of Petrivka with three drones, according to Viktor Kovalenko, Head of the Zolochiv community. The strikes destroyed a private house and a vehicle, while another house and several outbuildings were damaged. No civilian casualties were reported.

Later the same day, three guided aerial bombs (KABs) struck the village of Oskil in Izium District.
According to Hennadii Zahoruiko, Head of the Oskil Settlement Military Administration, the attack damaged at least 15 private homes, a fire station, municipal facilities, and power lines, leaving part of the village without electricity. The strike also destroyed the local Ukrposhta post office.

In Yuriivka, part of the Velykyi Burluk community, a Russian drone struck a vehicle belonging to an energy utility crew. Three workers were injured — a 33-year-old man and two 52-year-old men.
In Zolochiv, a Molniya-type drone hit the local courthouse, damaging the roof, façade, and windows. No injuries were reported.
The settlement of Prolisne in Chuhuiv District was struck by a missile attack, damaging 10 apartment buildings, more than 200 windows, and several vehicles. Near Shevchenkove in Kupiansk District, a Russian drone attack ignited a wheat field.

According to the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, on July 14 Russian forces attacked Kharkiv and 21 settlements across the region. Two people were killed and 16 others were injured.
The attacks involved 2 missiles, 8 guided aerial bombs (KABs), 11 Geran-2 attack drones, 12 Molniya-type drones, 5 FPV drones, and 32 additional drones of various types.
The strikes damaged residential buildings, educational institutions, critical infrastructure, railway infrastructure, gas stations, warehouse facilities, vehicles, and other civilian infrastructure.
In Bohodukhiv, a drone strike on a gas station caused a fire, though no casualties were reported.
In Izium, a State Emergency Service (SES) employee suffered a concussion while responding to the aftermath of a combined Russian attack.

Evacuation and Recovery
The transit evacuation center in Lozova received 192 evacuees over the past 24 hours. Since the facility began operating, it has registered a total of 45,740 evacuees.
In Kharkiv, 318 cultural heritage sites of both local and national significance have been damaged as a result of Russian shelling, according to Kostiantyn Korotych, Head of the City Commission for the Assessment of Damaged Heritage Sites.
Donetsk oblast
Frontline
Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 16 Russian assaults on the Lyman direction, 40 on the Pokrovsk direction, and 26 on the Sloviansk direction, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Yaroslav Mazur, commander of the 2nd Self-Propelled Artillery Battalion of the 147th Artillery Brigade, said that despite the high intensity of fighting on the Pokrovsk direction, the situation for Ukrainian troops has improved compared to three weeks ago. According to him, unmanned systems continue to play a decisive role in modern warfare.
Shelling
On July 15, Russian forces attacked Kramatorsk with a fiber-optic FPV drone. The strike hit a civilian vehicle, injuring six people — two men and four women. A grocery store and two passenger vehicles were also damaged.
Later that day, Russian troops launched two separate attacks on Sloviansk. A guided aerial bomb struck an industrial zone, while a kamikaze drone destroyed a private home. According to Vadym Liakh, Head of the Sloviansk City Military Administration, no casualties were reported.
In the settlement of Yasna Poliana, part of the Kramatorsk community, two people were killed and three others were injured in a Russian attack. Seventeen residential houses were damaged, according to Vadym Filashkin, Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration.
In Druzhkivka and Adamivka, five people were injured in Russian shelling on July 15.
According to the Donetsk Regional Police, Russian forces launched 1,309 strikes against the front line and residential areas of the region on July 14. Nine settlements came under attack. One person was killed and seven others were injured. The shelling damaged 63 civilian facilities, including 31 residential buildings.
In Raihorodok, one person was killed and two others were injured. Kramatorsk was hit by 12 attacks, including strikes involving KAB-250 guided aerial bombs and Smerch multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). Two civilians were injured, while the attacks damaged one apartment building, 18 private homes, a hospital, infrastructure facilities, and 14 vehicles.
In Mykolaivka, three people were injured, while in Sloviansk, a hospital sustained damage.
In Krasnotorka, a man wounded during the shelling on July 14 was hospitalized in moderate condition. The attack also damaged 17 residential houses.
Recovery and Evacuation
In Kramatorsk, electricity restoration efforts continued for a second consecutive day following a Russian strike on a critical infrastructure facility during the night of July 14.
During the evacuation of civilians from Druzhkivka, a vehicle belonging to the “White Angel” police evacuation unit struck a landmine. Despite the incident, the officers successfully completed the evacuation and safely transported the civilians. No fatalities or injuries were reported.
Luhansk oblast
In the Luhansk region, Ukrainian forces used a Hornet kamikaze drone to destroy a Russian Tor surface-to-air missile system valued at approximately $25 million, according to the Omega Special Purpose Center. Russian occupation forces launched 41 attacks across the region, primarily using unmanned aerial systems, including 28 FPV drone strikes and drone-dropped munitions. The attacks also included six mortar strikes, four tube artillery attacks, one automatic grenade launcher attack, and two strikes using other types of weapons. On the Lyman direction, Russian forces made 16 attempts to break through Ukrainian defensive positions.
Meanwhile, the Russian occupation administration in the Luhansk region continues to recruit minors for industrial work under the guise of summer employment. According to the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, teenagers are being assigned through Russian state programs to low-skilled jobs, including work at the Lugamash industrial plant, as part of efforts to address labor shortages and integrate local youth into the Russian economic system.
Despite claims by the occupation authorities that nearly 45 million rubles had been allocated for wildfire prevention, large-scale fires continue to burn in the Sievierodonetsk area. Active fire hotspots have been reported near the local airport and the settlements of Syrotyne and Metolkine, underscoring the ineffectiveness of the announced forest protection and fire prevention measures.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
EU leaders and heads of European countries have arrived in Kyiv to participate in the “Ukraine – Southeast Europe” Summit.
In total, around ten foreign delegations have arrived in the Ukrainian capital. Among them are European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, the Presidents of Serbia, Moldova, and Albania, as well as prime ministers and foreign ministers from across the region.

Kyiv Region has delivered 15 new pickup trucks, Starlink satellite communication systems, and an unmanned ground robotic platform to Ukrainian defenders serving with the 114th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade.
The delivery was announced by Mykola Kalashnyk, Head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.
Zhytomyr oblast
On the morning of July 15, Russian forces struck a gas station in the Malyn community of the Zhytomyr region. Two people were injured and hospitalized, according to Vitalii Bunechko, Head of the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration. Emergency responders and other specialized services are working at the scene.
Following the attack, all gas stations in Korosten District will suspend operations during air raid alerts, Bunechko announced. Effective July 15, every filling station in the district must cease operations whenever an air raid alert is in effect and take all necessary measures to evacuate employees and customers to the nearest shelters or other safe locations.
Sumy oblast
The 47th Separate Mechanised Brigade Magura reported that during combat duty, the Sky Wars air defence unit detected and destroyed a russian jet-powered Shahed drone over Sumy oblast. The drone was flying at a speed of more than 340–350 km/h but slowed down while approaching its target or making a turn.
The Communications Centre of Kursk Operational Grouping of Forces informed that Zapsillia village in Myropillia community remains under the control of the Ukrainian Defence Forces. russian media platforms once again claimed that the settlement had allegedly been captured, but the information is false.
According to the Regional Military Administration, on the morning of 15 July, the enemy launched six guided aerial bomb strikes on Sumy community. Three civilians were killed: a 75-year-old woman and two men aged 54 and 77. Twenty-one people were injured, four of whom are in serious condition. One of the guided aerial bombs struck near medical facilities in an area with heavy pedestrian and vehicle traffic. The remaining strikes targeted infrastructure facilities. More than 10 buildings, including medical facilities, residential buildings and office premises, were damaged. Hundreds of windows were shattered. Civilian vehicles parked near the epicentre of the strike were also damaged or destroyed.



The State Emergency Service of Sumy oblast reported at 3:43pm on 15 July that the enemy had struck a residential area in Sumy by a UAV. The attack caused extensive damage to a residential house, an outbuilding and a garage, and sparked a fire. A woman with a disability suffered an acute stress reaction and was taken to hospital. Emergency crews extinguished all fires. Rescuers also pulled a kitten from the rubble and returned it to its owners.

Serhii Kryvosheienko, Head of Sumy City Military Administration, said that during the night and morning of 15 July, russian forces struck petrol stations in Zarichnyi and Kovpakivskyi districts of Sumy by UAVs. A 63-year-old driver of a suburban shuttle bus was injured and taken to hospital with multiple serious injuries. One of the strikes caused a fire at a filling station.
The Regional Military Administration informed that on the evening of 14 July, russian forces shelled Sumy community with a long-range multiple launch rocket system using cluster munitions. Seven people were injured. Four of the injured remain in hospital under medical supervision. The strike targeted a private residential area, damaging at least 10 households.
According to Yurii Zarko, Mayor of Bilopillia, three municipal housing maintenance workers were injured after an enemy UAV struck their service vehicle on the morning of 15 July. One sustained minor injuries, while the other two were seriously injured.
The Regional Military Administration reported that from the morning of 14 July to the morning of 15 July, russian forces carried out 80 attacks on 31 settlements across 18 territorial communities in the oblast. The highest number of attacks was recorded in Sumy and Shostka regions. The enemy used mortars, artillery, multiple launch rocket systems, FPV drones, UAVs and guided aerial bombs. Air raid alerts were in effect in the oblast for 21 hours and 52 minutes over the 24-hour period.
The Regional Military Administration informed that, as of the morning of 15 July, 14 residents of Sumy oblast had been injured in enemy attacks over the previous day. Destruction and damage were also recorded:
▪️ In Khutir-Mykhailivskyi community, two people were injured in a russian drone strike. A passenger car was damaged.
▪️ In Seredyna-Buda community, a 75-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman were injured in a mortar attack. A 54-year-old man was injured in a russian drone strike. A private residential house was destroyed and other private houses were damaged.
▪️ In Shalyhyne community, a 42-year-old woman was injured when an enemy drone struck a vehicle. A private residential house was destroyed and a passenger car was damaged.
▪️ In Sumy community, seven people were injured in a cluster munition attack. A 63-year-old man was injured in a russian drone strike. Apartment buildings, private residential houses, outbuildings, civilian infrastructure facilities and road surfaces were damaged. Three women injured in the guided aerial bomb attacks on 11 July also sought medical treatment.
▪️ In Mykolaivka rural community, a 20-year-old man was injured in a russian drone strike.
▪️ In Buryn community, a 49-year-old man was injured when an enemy UAV struck a vehicle. Passenger cars were damaged.
▪️ In Svesa community, passenger cars and a civilian infrastructure facility were damaged.
▪️ In Hlukhiv community, a civilian infrastructure facility, an administrative building, the premises of an educational facility and a private household were damaged.
▪️ In Znob-Novhorodske community, a passenger car was damaged.
▪️ In Bilopillia community, an apartment building was damaged.
▪️ In Nova Slobidka community, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged.
▪️ In Nedryhailiv community, an administrative building was damaged.
▪️ In Sad community, a private residential house was damaged.
Residential houses and property previously damaged in earlier shelling were also recorded in Esman, Svesa and Yampil communities.
Chernihiv oblast
The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported that on 14 July, border guards from the 105th Prince Volodymyr the Great Detachment shot down five russian UAVs over Chernihiv oblast. The destroyed drones included a Molniya, a Lancet, a Skat, a Zala and an Orlan.
The State Emergency Service of Chernihiv oblast informed that a man born in 1989 was killed after debris from russian UAVs fell in Pryluky region during the night of 15 July. The debris landed in the yard of a private household. The attack also damaged a residential house and a passenger car.
Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, said that shortly before midnight, russian forces struck Prybyn village in Koriukivka community near the border by an FPV drone. An 18-year-old man was injured and underwent surgery.
According to Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment, on 14 July, russian forces attacked three border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka and Snovsk. The enemy carried out mortar attacks (5 explosions), artillery strikes (4 explosions), Molniya UAV attacks (1 explosion), Shahed UAV attacks (3 explosions), FPV drone attacks (12 explosions), and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (5 explosions). Eleven settlements came under enemy fire.
