It has been the 281th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

During the day, the enemy launched a missile attack on the positions of our troops on the territory of the Kharkiv oblast. It carried out 16 airstrikes, specifically on the settlement of Bilohiria in the Zaporizhzhia oblast, and shelled the city of Kherson with MLRS.

There is still a threat of the enemy launching missile strikes on the objects of the energy system and critical infrastructure throughout the territory of Ukraine.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the situation has not changed significantly, and no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups have been detected.

In the Siversk direction, the enemy carried out mortar and artillery attacks on the settlements of Kostobobriv and Hremoach in the Chernihiv oblast and Havrylova Sloboda, Seredyna Buda, Pustohorod, Bachivsk, Vilna Sloboda, Budky, Bilopillya and Krasnopillya in Sumy oblast.

Towards Sloboda, the enemy continues to maintain its troops in the border areas of the Belgorod region. Areas of the settlements of Huryiv Kozachok, Krasne, Zelene, Slobozhanske, Ohirtseve, Bochkove, Mala Vovcha, Budarky, Dvorichna and Zapadne of Kharkiv oblast were shelled by enemy artillery of various types.

The enemy is on the defensive in Kupiansk and Lyman directions. They shelled the areas of Tabaivka, Krokhmalne and Berestove settlements of Kharkiv oblast with tanks, mortars, barrel and jet artillery; Stelmakhivka, Myasozharivka, Makiivka and Ploschanka in Luhansk oblast and Torske in Donetsk oblast.

Towards Bakhmut, the enemy will continue to focus its main efforts on conducting offensive operations. Targets in the Serebrianka, Verkhnyokamianske, Spirne, Rozdolivka, Bilohorivka, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Zalizne and New York districts of the Donetsk oblast were hit from tanks and artillery.

In Avdiivka direction, the enemy is trying to improve the tactical position. Facilities in Avdiyivka, Pervomaiskyi, Vodiane, Vesele, Krasnohorivka and Maryinka areas in Donetsk oblast were hit from tanks and artillery of various types.

The enemy is conducting defensive operations in Novopavlivsk direction. Shelling by the occupiers of Vremivka, Velyka Novosilka, Bohoyavlenka, Paraskoviivka, Zolota Nyva, Prechystivka, Vuhledar and Pavlivka areas of Donetsk oblast was recorded.

The enemy is also on the defensive in the Zaporizhzhia direction. It carried out artillery shelling in the areas of Nikopol, Kamianske, Novoandriyivka, Zaliznychne, Huliaipole, Dorozhnyanka and Bilohirya in Zaporizhia oblast and Ilyinka in Dnipropetrovsk oblast.

In the Kherson direction, the enemy is defending previously occupied lines. Kachkarivka, Respublikanets, Matrosivka, Tokarivka and Antonivka of the Kherson region were attacked. The enemy does not stop terrorizing the inhabitants of the city of Kherson with artillery.

According to the available information, the russian forces are withdrawing separate units and preparing to evacuate the personnel of the occupation administrations of the settlements of the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia region. Thus, units based in the local police station and one of the educational institutions left Mykhailivka settlement. In the settlements of Polohy and Inzhenerne, the occupiers leave the houses where they were stationed and take away the stolen property. In the village of Burchak, the occupation authorities are conducting a census for the so-called voluntary evacuation of the population.

It has been confirmed that units of the Defense Forces hit enemy manpower concentrations in the previous days.

In the settlements of Myrne, Tokmak, Inzhenerne, Polohy, Yasne and Kinsky Rozdory of the Zaporizhzhia oblast, the enemy lost more than 230 people wounded, more than 15 units of military equipment of various types and ammunition depots were destroyed. Information on eliminated occupiers is being clarified.

During the current day, the aviation of the Defense Forces made 14 strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, as well as 3 strikes on the positions of the enemy’s anti-aircraft missile systems.


According to the head of the President’s office Andrii Yermak, prisoners of war were exchanged. 50 soldiers, defending Mariupol, Azovstal, prisoners who were in Olenivka, in the battles in Donetsk, Luhansk and Zaporizhzhia, were freed. 

According to the deputy Yaroslav Zhelezniak, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the resolution #8081 allowing soldiers to take a vacation during martial law. It envisages a 10-day vacation for military men without taking into account the transit within Ukraine to the point of destination and back, but no more than 2 days one way. 

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, russian troops are stationed in the Belgorod region bordering Ukraine towards Sloboda. The invaders are on the defensive in Kupiansk direction. Russian invaders shelled 18 settlements. They launched a missile attack on the positions of Ukrainian defenders in Kharkiv oblast.

Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, reported at the meeting with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Czech Republic, Marek Svoboda. In addition to providing medical services to civilians in war conditions, they also discussed cooperation in the energy sector and the importance of economic recovery of Kharkiv oblast.

DNA examination confirmed that in the territorial defender, Roman Simonok, killed by the missile attack on the regional administration premises, is buried in an unmarked trench at the cemetery #18 in Kharkiv. According to his mother, the DNA examination was carried out in one month. They took her samples for comparison. Now they are preparing for Roman’s reburial on the Alley of Glory. 

In September, the Kharkiv City Council admitted that during burials at the end of February, the ritual company violated the law. Mass graves in trenches were found at the cemetery. 1220 people were buried in mass graves without coffins. Law enforcers opened criminal proceedings under two articles: grave desecration and professional negligence. Miller law company reported on November 28 that two people had already been exhumed from the mass grave at the request of relatives.

The Executive Director of PEN Ukraine, Tetiana Teren, informed that children’s writer, Volodymyr Vakulenko, killed by the invaders in Izium region, will be buried on December 6 in Kharkiv.

The intensity of shelling in Kupiansk region increased several times. Russians were constantly shelling the settlements of the border communities. Fires broke out in houses, outbuildings, warehouses. There were hits on open areas.

Vovchansk and Lypetsk border communities were attacked. Garages were burning and facades of private homes damaged.

According to the Regional Center for Emergency Medical Care, there were no casualties.

Director of the Regional Department of Civil Protection, Ivan Sokol, said that the International Committee of the Red Cross provided Kharkiv and the region with 50 warning systems.

Donetsk oblast

The American Institute for the Study of War stated that russian efforts around Bakhmut indicate that troops have not learnt lessons from previous campaigns with heavy casualties focused on targets of limited operational or strategic importance. According to experts, since the end of May, russian troops have been constantly wasting combat power on small settlements around Bakhmut and over the next 6 months they had moved forward for only a few kilometres.

The Eastern Group of Forces Сouncillor, Serhii Cherevatyi, reported approximately the same thing. He noted that the invaders are throwing all their forces to invade Bakhmut, but without success.

In Volnovakha direction, russians shelled Vuhledar. At least 6 buildings were damaged. There were no casualties.

In Donetsk direction at night there were isolated attacks on the old part of Avdiivka and in the morning downtown was under massive artillery fire. The enemy launched a missile attack on an infrastructure facility in Kurakhove, two people were injured.

Bakhmut suffered the most in Horlivka direction: 2 people were injured. A house, a warehouse and an administrative building were damaged. There were also isolated attacks near Bakhmutske, Rozdolivka and Yakovlivka in Soledar community.

In Lysychansk direction, 1 person was injured and 1 building destroyed in Torske of Lyman community.

Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, informed that russians injured 3 civilians in Bakhmut yesterday.

In the freed Lyman, medics of Médecins Sans Frontières international organisation are helping residents in the premises of a rebuilt recreation centre as both hospitals were destroyed by russians.

One of the project members, Serhii Nakonechnyi, shared the news on creation of the new drone for the Armed Forces of Ukraine that is being created by military and volunteers from Donetsk oblast. Engineers and volunteers from the east are raising funds to create and manufacture their own Inkvisytor drone. According to the plan, it will have better flight characteristics than other copters of this class and its cost will be several times lower.

Luhansk oblast

At the frontline in Kupiansk and Lyman directions, the enemy is on the defensive. On November 30, russians attacked Bilohorivka, Chervonopopivka, Makiivka, Nevske, Novoselivske, Ploshchanka and Stelmakhivka.

Defence Forces units repelled the invaders’ attacks in Bilohorivka, Novoselivske and Stelmakhivka.

Luhansk Regional Military Administration reported that law enforcers are searching for russian saboteurs in liberated territory of Luhansk oblast. Law enforcers are still detecting sabotage and reconnaissance groups hiding in buildings of liberated villages. There are hostilities nearby.

Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Haidai, reported that our soldiers are holding the defence in Bilohorivka. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are still advancing towards Kreminna and Svatove. In Luhansk oblast, Ukrainian servicemen are already a few kilometres away from Kreminna. He also noted that the entire occupied territory is mined from bridges to forests. Russians also withdrew a large amount of equipment. In Starobilsk, the invaders are creating the second defence line from the military who were deployed from Kherson.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration Serhiy Popko said that Ukrainian intelligence has no information about formation of a assault group to attack Kyiv from the territory of Belarus. The command of forces of Kyiv city defense build up and maintain troops in combat readiness by improving the engineering equipment, anti-aircraft defense and fire damage to the enemy.

Minister of Defense of Slovenia Marjan Sharec visited Irpin. He visited the 10th Line Street, destroyed by the russian shelling. The mayor of Irpin, Oleksandr Markushin, told the guest about the heroic city defense and the prospects for rebuilding the destroyed city.

In March 2022, three russian soldiers brutalized a local resident in the temporarily occupied village of Havronshchyna. This was reported in the Prosecutor General’s Office. The law enforcement officers established that the russians abused the man for a week, beat him, threatened him with firearms, and tied his hands and feet with a rope. They kept him shirtless in a pit in the open air for several days, buried him in cold soil, and did not give him food and water. An indictment has been sent to the court against these russian soldiers for violating the laws and customs of war. The article provides imprisonment for up to 12 years.

YASNO General Director Serhiy Kovalenko said that Kyiv’s energy system is stabilizing, but emergency shutdowns continue. According to him, on Monday, the residents of Kyiv were left without electricity for more than 9 hours, prior to this for 7 hours.

Kyiv RMA reported that Kyiv is equipping the stations of mobile operators with generators for “uninterrupted communication”. It is also planned to distribute more than 40 Starlink stations in the city, which will provide the Internet to state administrations and hospitals.

58 intersections have been identified in the capital, where traffic controllers will work during power outages and de-energizing traffic lights.

5,000 boxes will be placed in Kyiv high-rise buildings in case of the elevator blockage. As reported in the Kyiv RMA, the boxes will be placed in the houses that are most often subject to stabilization and emergency power outages. Each box includes wet towels, dry wipes, trash bags, cookies, water, disposable cups, and tranquillizer.

The head of the Kyiv RMA Serhiy Popko said that reconstruction of the buildings, most damaged by russian shelling, is underway in Kyiv. To date, 5 of them have been completely restored, 9 buildings are planned to be restored by the end of the year, 2 more, with a large amount of work, by the middle of next year.

The Kyiv RMA reported that over 200,000 displaced persons moved to Kyiv during the full-scale war. In total, since 2014, more than 360,000 internally displaced persons have been registered in the capital. There are more than 61,000 pensioners and almost 12,000 people with disabilities among them.

3,808 laptops were handed over to educational institutions in 42 communities of Kyiv oblast as part of the initiative of the Global Business Coalition for Education (GBC-Education) and the project “Digital Asset for Ukraine” of HP and Microsoft. The devices will be used to organize the educational process, including distant learning.

Zhytomyr oblast

Almost 400,000 hryvnias have been allocated to pay the wages t50 unemployed people from Zhytomyr oblast who will join the “Recovery Army” by the end of 2022. As reported in the regional employment service, people will be able to take part in paid socially useful work, which will be organized by regional military administrations and village, settlement and city councils.

A school shelter for the children of employees of the Kromberg & Schubert Zhytomyr enterprise was arranged in 34 days. The company could not ignore the parents’ requests and, together with other benefactors, provided the school with the necessary building materials and 100 adjustable chairs. Now, instead of online classes, children expect to return to their school.

They are planning to create a training center for volunteer firefighters in Zhytomyr oblast. Currently, the mechanisms for organization of the project are being developed. In January, it is planned to sign documents with Polish colleagues regarding its implementation.

Rescuers from Zhytomyr received a car, two generators, medicines and food kits. Firefighter Yaroslav Palash from the city of Myloslav and priest Jacek from the city of Gevartov brought and handed over the aid. Since the war began, they have been delivering humanitarian aid to Ukraine and actively helping rescuers.

A sculptor from Korostyshiv Oleksiy Markovskyi plans to buy a car for one of the armed forces brigades. To do this, he started selling concrete cat sculptures he had made through social networks. The campaign was called “Cats for cats”.

Sumy oblast

The head of the Sumy RMA Dmytro Zhivytskyi announced that the enemy fired 110 rounds of ammunition from mortars and barrel artillery along the border of Sumy oblast. Krasnopillia, Bilopillia, Seredina-Buda and Esman communities were attacked. The last one was shelled by the occupiers four times a day.

As a result of a russian attack, a 15-year-old boy died in Bilopillia community, who did not manage to run a few meters to the shelter during the shelling. The destruction includes damaged residential buildings, a hospital, a kindergarten, vehicles, electricity and gas networks.

The “North” OC reported that the occupiers opened fire again on the border of Sumy oblast. In total, 120 mines and projectiles were released on the territory of the oblast during the day.

On the territory of the village of Khodine, Shostka region, 50 hits were recorded from rack-mounted automatic grenade launchers and 5 from mortars. The enemy fired from self-propelled guns on Novovasylivka in the Seredina-Buda community, 24 hits were scored. There were 46 hits from mortars in the village of Vovkivka, Shostka region.

The Regional Emergency Service reported that rescuers of the Sumy informed the population about the work of the invincibility center. Alerting will be carried out with the help of special vehicles.

The city of Trostianets received 9 electric generators from Czech friends. This was announced on the website of the Trostianets community. Humanitarian aid in the form of generators came from the Sika Ukraine company and the sister city of Bystrshice-nad-Pershteynom. The Czechs handed over 3,788 square meters of roofing material – this is already the second batch of such aid, the first was received in October and is used to repair the school.

The Embassy of Japan in Ukraine reported that the Konotop Central District Hospital will receive a mobile X-ray machine from Japan. A number of projects have been signed with the Ambassador of Japan, Matsuda Kuninoriz. They relate to providing hospitals in various regions of Ukraine with medical equipment.

The Sumy RMA reported that two more buildings damaged by the occupiers have been restored in Sumy. Double-glazed windows in two five-story buildings were replaced; the windows were destroyed during the artillery shelling of the city.A decision was made to de-russify the streets in Sumy oblast.

The decision to change the names of the affected people arose immediately after the full-scale invasion was made on November 30. We are talking about the renaming of 211 streets, alleys and passages.

Chernihiv oblast

Yesterday, the occupiers shelled the Novgorod-Siverskyi community in Chernihiv oblast three times a day. The “North” OC reported that 9 strikes were recorded, probably from mortars and the same number – from barrel artillery. Later, the spokeswoman of the Chernihiv border detachment, Halyna Shekhovtsova, reported on barrel artillery shelling and two ammunition dropped from drones.

Ukravtodor reported that France sent bridges that will help restore transport connections in Chernihiv oblast. Three new structures will be installed in Chernihiv oblast on damaged areas. Priority will be given to those sections of roads that are critically important for the humanitarian situation in the oblast.

Residents of high-rise buildings in downtown  Chernihiv remain without heat for 12 hours a day because of the non-functional boiler room, which is supposed to heat the school as well. Local residents heat their apartments with gas-heated bricks and complain about the appearance of fungi in their homes.

In the village of Korop, the whole community weaves camouflage nets for the Armed Forces. The head of the community, Volodymyr Kunitsyn, noted that weaving has also become a platform for communication, a kind of outlet from the very beginning of the full-scale war. It was organized by the director of the local Center for Children’s and Youth Creativity on the basis of the institution.

Chernihiv students show theatre performances to preschoolers during alarms. Members of the theatre group from the Chernihiv Collegium National University perform a puppet show in a shelter for the residents of one of the kindergartens in Chernihiv. Students illuminate the stage and improvised audience hall with lanterns. According to the director of the kindergarten, Tetyana Yarmolenko, the children are no longer afraid of alarms.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

According to Head of the Regional Council Mykola Lukashuk, the situation in the Nikopol district remains tense. At night, it was again repeatedly fired on by the occupying russian troops. Marhanets community was attacked with heavy artillery and Grad MRLS about 7 times. 

Chervonohryhorivka community was shelled  from heavy artillery. A household outbuilding was destroyed, two more damaged, as well as two houses. Gas pipelines and electricity networks were battered. About 300 families were left without electricity, another three dozen – without gas supply. 

The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, Valentin Reznichenko reported that the occupiers shelled Nikopol region  again in the afternoon.They hit Nikopol with heavy artillery. An apartment in a high-rise building caught on fire. Its owner, a 56-year-old man, was injured. Several high-rise buildings and power lines were damaged in the city.

Vinnytsia oblast

Deputy Mayor Halyna Yakubovych informed about  the meeting between representatives of the Vinnytsia City Council and the International Committee of the Red Cross held in Vinnytsia. They discussed important issues on rendering aid to internally displaced persons, who currently make up 10% of Vinnytsia’s population, as well as aid for Vinnytsia residents.

Kirovohrad oblast

The head of the Kropyvnytskyi district administration, Andrii Hudima, said that the police have set up 27 invincibility centres In Kirovohrad oblast.The centres at police stations work around the clock. There are three of them in Kropyvnytskyi.

Poltava oblast

Volunteers of the “Poltava Battalion of the Indifferent” sent two special long-range searchlights to one of the Poltava air defense units, which will help monitor the sky at night. Funds were collected in Mykolai’s House (“Blahokava”).

Volunteers sent clothes, hygiene products and infant formulas to several departments of the hospital in Horyshni Plavni.

The Department of Culture of the Poltava City Council announced a “We will win together” forum for volunteers.

Cherkasy oblast

The photo exhibition “Invincible Kherson” was presented in Cherkasy. This is a photo story about the resistance of Kherson residents to the russian occupation from rallies to the underground movements. Its author, photojournalist Oleksandr Korniakov, filmed everything for half a year, until he was forced to hide and leave.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

The situation towards Zaporizhzhia has not changed significantly. The enemy concentrates its main efforts on holding the occupied borders.

During the past day, the occupiers shelled the civil infrastructure in Stepove, Kamianske, Mali Shcherbaky, Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Dorozhnianka, Olhivske, Novodanylivka, Zaliznychne, Novoandriivka, Charivne, Malynivka, Preobrazhenka. The police received 24 reports about the destruction of houses (apartments) and infrastructure facilities as a result of shelling by russian military personnel.

The russian occupiers continue to use civilian facilities in the temporarily occupied territories. Thus, the invaders set up a field hospital in a local school in a settlement in Zaporizhzhia oblast. At the same time, during November 28-29, the evacuation of wounded invaders by a convoy of trucks and buses moving towards Melitopol was recorded.

On November 30, the occupiers took the head of Berdiansk’s culture department, Mykola Shostak, prisoner to an unknown destination. This was reported by the head of the Berdiansk military administration, Victoria Halitsyna.

Today, on December 1, the president of Enerhoatom fired the deputy chief engineer of the Zaporizhzhia NPP Iurii Chernichuk, who was acting as the station’s chief engineer. This decision is related to the available confirmed information about the collaborative activities of Iurii Chernichuk.

Ukrainian Intelligence informs that representatives of Rosatom at ZNPP are misappropriating money intended for salaries of Ukrainian personnel. Also, according to intelligence, about 500 occupiers remain at the ZNPP, 200 of  them are the so-called “Kadyrovites”. Their main task is to intimidate the staff and encourage them to cooperate with the occupiers. About 300 mines were found in the industrial zone of the station, which were left by the occupying units.

Mykolaiv oblast

The number of invincibility centres has been increased in case of a prolonged emergency power outage in Mykolaiv. The phones can be charged and additional information can be received at the points. In total, as of December 1, there are 41 addresses in the list. Points are deployed in every district of the city.

As of December 1, pyrotechnic units inspected the railway track from Mykolaiv to Kherson, almost half of the city of Snihurivka, 100 percent of the asphalt covering of the Mykolaiv-Kherson road (67 km), as well as about 300 km of other highways in the occupied territories of Mykolaiv and Kherson oblasts. A total of 11.5 square kilometers out of 8,800 square kilometers of newly reclaimed territories of Mykolaiv and Kherson oblasts were de-mined. First of all, rescuers examine the objects of energy, heat, water, gas supply and communication. 43 heat supply facilities were inspected in Mykolaiv oblast, and 5,600 explosive items were neutralized.

Work is being carried out to restore transport connections on the roads of the freed settlements of Mykolaiv oblast. Road workers are arranging three sections of the road P-81 Kazanka – Snihurivka – /P-47/ to provide temporary access. Currently, the section of the road from the village of Bereznehuvate to Snihurivka is being covered with a gravel-sand mixture. A temporary bypass near the destroyed bridge between Snihurivka and Barativka is being constructed. In addition, the passage near the bridge, which was destroyed, is also being restored on a section of the road near the town of Bereznehuvate.

Odesa oblast

On December 1, a caravan of three ships left the ports of Odesa. They will deliver 126 thousand tons of agricultural products to the countries of Africa, Asia and Europe. One of the carriers is the GOLDEN ARSENAL bulker with 27,000 tons of wheat bound for Algeria, where there is a food crisis. Currently, 22 ships are loading 767,000 tons of agricultural products in the ports of the region. Four ships loaded with 205,000 tons of food move along the “Grain Corridor”.

The Odesa City council signed an agreement on the partnership relations between Odesa and the cities of Miami and Miami Beach, the United States of America. The signed agreement provides cooperation in the economic, trade, scientific and educational, socio-cultural, tourism and sports spheres with the partner cities of Miami and Miami Beach.

Kherson oblast

The russian army shelled the residential quarters of Kherson from Grads MLRS located on Dnipro left bank. Enemy shells hit the art museum, high-rise buildings, private houses and cars. Some residential premises are uninhabitable as a result of direct shell hits. A 77-year-old woman was killed in her own apartment in the city center. A large-caliber shell hit the apartment. Fires broke out in the KhBK area, burning cars and apartments. Due to enemy shelling, the power connection was lost in some areas of the city. Energy experts are already working on restoring power supply.

Police officers discovered the burials of two local residents who probably died as a result of enemy shelling during stabilization measures in the liberated village of Liubimivka, Beryslav region. The police are verifying the information regarding the murder of a couple by the russian military in one of the temporarily occupied settlements of Skadovsk region. According to available information, the crime took place in a local village school where the occupiers were located.

A new mass grave of people killed by the russian military was discovered on the outskirts of Kherson, in the village of Pravdyne. Law enforcement officers exhumed the bodies of seven civilians who were killed by russian military. According to the investigation, in April 2022, the russian military shot dead seven civilians in a house during the occupation of Pravdyne. After that, the occupiers blew up the house.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a decrease in the number of russian soldiers and military equipment is observed in the city of Oleshky. Russian troops were withdrawn from certain settlements in Kherson oblast and dispersed in forest strips along the section of the Oleshky – Hola Prystan highway. The majority of the troops are newly mobilized people.

As of December 1, the pyrotechnic units inspected the Kherson railway station, the railway track from Mykolaiv to Kherson, 15 out of 16 priority power substations in Kherson, 100 percent of the asphalt covering of the Mykolaiv-Kherson road (67 km), as well as about 300 km of other highways in the occupied territories Mykolaiv and Kherson oblasts. A total of 11.5 square kilometers out of 8,800 square kilometers of freed territories of Mykolaiv and Kherson oblasts were de-mined. First of all, rescuers examine the objects of energy, heat, water, gas supply and communication. 99 heat supply facilities were inspected in the Kherson oblast, and 6,800 explosive objects were neutralized.

Volyn oblast

A batch of portable metal stoves was sent to the front line from Volyn. The workers of one of the enterprises in Volyn produced these metal stoves.

The teachers of the oblast were given 382 laptops for organizing the educational process. Volyn oblast received 1 283 Chromebooks as part of the Ministry of Education’s agreements with Google and UNESCO. Another 901 will be handed over by the end of the week.

Portable metal stoves will be installed at Lutsk educational institutions. The Lutsk City Council has allocated UAH 1.1 million for the purchase of 63 mobile metal stoves.

Shelter houses for IDPs are being built near Lutsk. It is estimated that the construction of one shelter costs $16K.

Zakarpattia oblast

Head of the RMA, Viktor Mykyta, and Head of the project in Ukraine of the international organization People in Trouble, Veronika Kusiova, signed a Memorandum on providing appropriate one-time assistance to vulnerable categories of the population and oblasts that sheltered IDPs. It is about the purchase and delivery of 5 cubic meters of firewood per household.

The city council reported that over UAH 7.7 million will be allocated from the Uzhhorod budget for generators, fuel and lubricants for the city’s medical facilities. 

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Oblenergo has changed the approach to the distribution of load limits. There will be a day and night limit. On December 1, the night limit was 249 MW and the daytime limit was 314.9 MW for Prykarpattia.

In the RMA a meeting with the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine in the city of Uzhhorod, Ivan Lukachuk, was held. They discussed implementation of transport projects and involvement of foreign partners.

The RMA reported that thanks Lithuania, a second shelter for women who suffered from war crimes committed by the russian army during the war will be opened in Prykarpattia.

3 all-terrain vehicles, 200 sets of winter uniforms and 3 inverter batteries were sent to the front line for the Ukrainian military.

The RMA reported that Kosivska and Kolomyia regional military administrations prepared 2 bath and laundry complexes for soldiers.

Lviv oblast

The city council of Lviv reported that during the war, over 120K Ukrainians received medical care in the city.

The CF Caritas of the Stryi Diocese provided assistance to IDPs throughout November, specifically 1,5K food and family kits, 142 people were given coupons for hot lunches at a public catering establishment, 126 people received clothes, 45 people were provided with water and 93 charity lunches were given out.

Rivne oblast

In Rivne oblast, farmers received sleeves for storing 250K tonnes of grain. They were provided as part of the support program of the Food and Agricultural Organization of the UN and the Ministry of Agricultural Policy.

Ternopil oblast

Halyna Hryshchuk, who lost son in the war, donated UAH 100K for the construction of a temple-pantheon with the names of all those who defended Ukraine in the village of Lishnya. The woman is convinced that her son would approve her charitable initiative.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

10 defenders from Khmelnytskyi oblast were posthumously awarded with For Courage of the IIIrd degree orders. High state awards were presented to relatives of the fallen Heroes by Head of the RMA Sergey Gamalii.

In Shepetivka (Khmelnytskyi oblast), a monument to Mykola Ostrovsky was dismantled. Ostrovsky is a soviet writer and communist.

Chernivtsi oblast

The Sokyrian City Council reported that the hospital in Sokyrian region will receive free aid from the government of Japan. The hospital will purchase a ventilator and a Japanese-made capnography patient monitor, which have no analogues in the region. Under the terms of the project, equipment is supplied exclusively from Japanese manufacturers.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Executive Director of the World Bank, Marie Elka Pangestu, stated that the World Bank provided almost $18 billion in emergency aid to Ukraine in total.

In November, Ukraine received UAH 151 billion in external financial support.

For the next year, the UN offered $5.7 billion for humanitarian aid to Ukrainians affected by the war.

US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, stated that the White House asks the US Congress to allocate $1.1 billion to support the energy industry of Ukraine and Moldova.

The Ministry of Defense of Lithuania announced that Lithuania allocates another €13 million to support Ukraine.

The Ministry of Finance of Canada reported that Canada issued $500 million in bonds to support Ukraine, which were redeemed within a day.

The Pentagon reported that the US signed a $1.2 billion contract with Raytheon to purchase the NASAMS air defense system for Ukraine.

The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, stated that the EU will allocate an additional €1 million for demining in Ukraine.

The Ministry of Digital and Amazon Web Services signed a memorandum on cooperation. According to this memorandum, Ukraine will receive $75 million in support.

Belgium will send R7 underwater vehicles to Ukraine. The R7 remote-controlled device is intended for oceanographers, hydrographers and for working with underwater structures.

NATO reported that Norway transferred five medical ambulance buses to Ukraine through NATO’s Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Center.

The Government of Japan will provide free assistance to Ukraine within the first stage of funding of the 2022 Human Security Project Support Program KUSANONE in the total amount of over $400K for implementation of five projects in the field of health care in Vinnytsia, Sumy, Chernivtsi, Mykolaiv and Lviv oblasts

Deputy Prime Minister of Poland, Mariusz Blaszczak, announced that Minister of Defense of Germany, Christine Lambrecht, agreed to discuss with the government a proposal on deploying the Patriot in Ukraine.

Germany recognized the Holodomor as genocide of the Ukrainian people. The German Bundestag voted for the resolution.

European energy companies are calling for donations of equipment needed by Ukraine to help repair infrastructure damaged by the russian invasion. Since the war began, 37 cargoes from 20 countries of the world have been delivered to Ukraine, and another 47 shipments are being made.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France reported that France began working with international partners, including Ukraine, on a proposal to create a special tribunal to investigate russian war crimes.

Britain imposed sanctions on Deputy Prime Minister of the russian federation Denys Manturov and officials involved in mobilization in russia and organization of pseudo-referendums in occupied Ukrainian territories.

Government of the Czech Republic confirmed the possibility of extending temporary protection visas for Ukrainian refugees until the end of March 2024. This term is currently limited to March 2023.

Head of the church in Great Britain, the Archbishop of Canterbury, arrived in Kyiv. Justin Welby will meet with the leaders of the churches of Ukraine and IDPs to show solidarity with the people and Ukrainian churches.
